And I have 5 big brothers so no one EVER bothered me. At lease those little tricks were relatively harmless, nowadays, worse things can happen in school!
I loved the way German and Russian friends would fasten their braids over their heads. My hair was too slippery. The hairpins just pinged out.
Oh, my motherinlaw used to have her hair like that, we have a few really cute photos like that. My hair was really thick and heavy, hard to make stay up, Eva's is like that too.

Good morning everyone. My mother, who grew up in Hamburg, had beautiful long braids which she hated, and wanted cut off. Her mother refused and so my mother, one day while alone at home (she as about 16) cut off just one braid. No choice then but to take her to a salon to have the rest done.

That is where our friend is working now, at the grade school there. We don't see him that much though so our "source" is basically gone. All I REALLY miss from there is brown sugar, baking soda, vanilla, some mexican stuff...

Eva, my mom had her braids until she was 15 or so. She grew up in Boston then because of the death of her parents had to move to Hollywood to live with her uncle. Her first girlfriend gently told her that the braids "had to go". Talk about a culture shock!
Eva did she eventually like her short hair

Marmar the story about my mother's braids always represented for me a sad mystery about this spunky, rebellious woman who seemed to have existed before the war, before she became a refugee. By the time I knew her that kind of rebelliousness was hardly present.

we donated a car two years ago, they said we could deduct $3700, for it from our taxes.. My hubby felt it wasn't worth that much so he only took a $1700 decuction.. the IRS didnt like that! it set off red fags ! Unbeleivable.. finally we told them just forget the donation and we took none

I have owned 3 Mazda Protoges, and never needed anything done. The latest is a stick, so far I just change the oil...I find them to be solid, I got rid of one, because It had a tons of miles on it, one because it got totalled, and I am enjoyig the third...

Bucket trap = 1 bucket with food in the bottom. I plank, or similar, for ramp up into bucket. Mousey runs up ramp, falls into bucket.
Before the cats I found peanut butter in a mouse trap always worked, they love it
I was just going to say that -- we used peanut butter too -- they couldn't run away with it like cheese. Cheez Whiz worked too, yuk
just don't use it with dogs in the house THEY love it too!!!
this mouse has caused a few laughs, running back in was funny but funnier was i picked up my grandaughter from school last week and she asked for the treats she knows i keep for them in my handbag, when i produced a chocolate bar it had been nibbled on even through the wrapping

I'd use the toilet tube on the table method. Put chocolate in the table edge end of the tube. Bucket or bin below.
