my daughter couldn't swim under water for long. She was initially not allowed to test swim for the C diploma. She practised, asked for a chance to show she could do it, got the test, practised more and got her diploma yesterday! We are SO proud of her.

so true, lyn! She used to be very timid and also kind of lazy... she is incredibly smart and so she was used to things working out without effort. Swimming was the first problem... not a brain thing, but a practice thing. She just didn't try. And now... powerful girl, keen on life, and willing to put effort into things. I am SO proud of her.

Just ehard from my doctor. See, I realized I was drinking too much. When I looked up my amounts on a liver site it came up all red flags and warnings, and I hadn't thought it was THAT bad at the levels I was drinking... So I stopped altogether until I could get to my doctor. Just heard back on my liver function tests. Huzzah, I can have a normal amount of alcohol 'cause everything's fine! So that's 14 units a week for me... Would've hated to give it up completely.

there are some things i havent been able to find on peapod (certain brands they have in the store but not yet online) and we are particular about some things (like deli meats) so we do still go to the shops, but only for a tiny amount of stuff....
my tesco's guy brings all my bags upstairs for me (the kitchen is one floor up) and puts them in front of the right cupboads for me
haz -- that WOULD be lovely! but i do check off everything as we put it away to make sure we have gotten everything -- once they claimed to have delivered all of our order, but $30 worth of produce was missing!
I complain bitterly about every aspect of food shopping but haven't made the leap to internet ordering. It has a great deal to do with the fact that only Tescos does it here and I'm not talking to them.
i never had issues with grovery shopping until i moved in with the BF -- the grocery stores up here are so narrow + people just leave their carts in the middle of aisles all over the place, but as soon as you try to move one out of your way, youre getting beaten with a handbag!
