wow exciting mg
Yeah! George Winston was working with him on a huge project but sadly his neuropathies interfered and now he can't play the guitar well, but he does still play the harmonica sometimes.
very interesting MG
The just regular website about him is http://samhinton.org/
how the heck can you un5/16 lol
If I could figure out how to do that, and market it, I imagine I'd be very rich and the divorce rate would plummet

good morning sprite
hello Sprite :)
well done Volleydee.
*hugs elder and lady and flosey and Dee and jilli and and and,,,*
jow are you Sprite?
I need a clue for these sa words, please?
nap time
getting ready to put my father into place, I guess. And recuperating from a very panicky day. But I'll live. And you?
Sprite, well I hope today meets you more kindly.
so do I :) How are you, elder? Will get back to your email after I am fully awake :)
Sprite, is your Father visiting or still the phone calls.
Sprite. am so so. No rush:)
no, he has written some letters, out of the blue. I think I should answer, to get some things out of my system. Intended not to, but it seems I cannot let go without doing something about it.
flosey -- do you like lamb with mint sa***?
hi sprite -- was in the grid so missed your entrance
oh jilli, talk about missing the normal words !!
then I have hugged you without your noticing, jilli, lol.
ty ty
Sprite, very cathartic.
it's the only sa word I have, flosey
and the past tense, ladies
and past tense
I scrolled back, sprite, and certainly noticed!
ty flosey, duh!
yes, I think so too, elder. So I am getting ready to pour it all into a letter and get it out of my system. If it gets into his, I don't even care much. As long as I can feel that for once I have told him.
and the third sa is pretty cheeky
ah, thanks jilli
I'm nodding off -- heading for bed now --happy babbling, all!
sleep well jilli
6 to go and my head feels like a block of soggy sawdust
27 left for tomorrow *poof*
goodnight jilli
they will keep, flosey.
Just make sure you don't feel bad after you have posted the letter.:)
lol sprite - good advice
perhaps tomorrow they'll pop out at me - hahaha
I will, elder :) That is certainly not going to happen. I keep dreaming about him and all the rotten things he did, and I think telling him how it has been for me will make me feel a lot better.
they probably will, flosey, lol
yes::))
good night now, and have a good day sprite - do hope you will find the right words to say to your father and that the process will be healing for you
will do my very best to make it so, flosey. Sleep well and pleasant dreams!
ty
Bye Flosey , sleep we.ll
Hi Sprite! I'm not really on but I flashed past the page and saw that you are so I popped on to say hi. Scrolled back a bit; I'm glad you're writing that letter.
hiya MonkeyG :) That is sweet, and much appreciated. Yes, I think it is time. Making a clear stand and saying my piece... at 42 it might be about freakin' time, right?
hello Monkey.
I know what you mean, trust me. So aside from that backstory, how are you?
tired as hell, had a pretty taxing day yesterday. But I feel pretty strong. And you?
OK! But Walter's cold has turned into a sore throat and lowgrade fever, so I'm keeping him home today and maybe tomorrow. But he's cheerful and playing, if somewhat subdued. Nice weather today, eh?
yeah, it is lovely. If possible, let him play outside for a little while, in the shadow. The sunlight will do him good. And tell him hi from me :)
how is the weather at your side of the Canal, elder? Also better?
Not to worry, a bit later if he's still up to it I'll be plunking him out on the deck with paints and cardboard so he can make his Daddy a birthday card.
aw, good
southern drawl word alert
OK, gotta go. I'll be back on while taking breaks. I need to make a birthday cake for tomorrow (which necessitates cleaning the kitchen), make ghee and panneer so I can make panneer saag tonight, and make warm honey-lemonade for Walter's hroat. Have fun all!
ohhhh I am coming over, lol. Sounds so lovely. Enjoy and have a great party.
Sprite, the last few days have been wonderful, so good for one soul. Windows can be left open and a warm stroll to survey my garden.. to feel the sun and its warmth, bliss:)
Thanks! No party, though-- he has to work tomorrow and has decided to save up parties until we can have a huge one in 7 years for his 50th. You SHOULD come over though; I'm the only one who'll eat the panneer saag! OK, back later. *poof*
Monkey I'll come, food sounds great !.
oh lovely, elder. It is good for us to enjoy the good things, right? :)
I think we will all come, MonkeyG!
yes to both Sprite. :)
You caught me mid-poof.... OK, I'll set extra places! Not sure there'll be enough Kashmiri butter chicken to go around though; that's teh leftovers part of the menu!
Thats ok I don't eat chicken..
Problem solved! REALLY going now.
Byeee
G'd morning Babblers! 94 words. Poopy.
Hello LoriP.. a bit of stinker this morning, some words sneakily hidden.
A word comes from that bottom a? I'm not awake yet......
Duh. Yah there is. ***coffee pot***
LoriP 2 of the a's are 4 letter words and with coffee you will get them -normal words.
sorry dear gang, had to be afk without telling. Back now.
hi Lori
WB Sprite.
it is a lyn grid toda :)
today even
I think LoriP may have drowned in coffee!:)
***Lori's a pouty camper***
hehehe, Lori without coffee is like an egg without salt...
oh my, you ARE cute when you put, Lori
LoriP, go and sit somewhere until you can be civil and without that droopy lip.. :)LOL
***the diving board stays out, no matter what you say elder*** :p
You know what they say.. a bird will come and pop on that lip .
'Poop@
heh heh heh, and people say I can't type.... ***cough*** :D
stop it !!! ::::))))
Like your picture loriP, how true .
lol yah
pout. POUT. not put. Tsk sprite.
love the icon and the story, lol
are you stuttering now Sprite?
Just read the ditty .. very good ..:)
nah, commenting on my own post. Have answered your email. Am I multitasking or what :)
brb
Okay, so there are 4 a's. Coffee's kicking in!
Sprite.. :) and will read later :)
Yes loriP.. It says that on the grid.. your quick this morning.LOL
I never take word counts as gospel. I prefer to retain a helathy skepticism...
Oh, Lorip, sorry did you require help with those A's.
: p
a pessimist in our midst ... that took some typing ..
hi
hello Herin WB.
There is however, no word coming from that o.
Thanks i had to have a nap
exclamation and short form of a male name.
Herin, feeling more rested now ?
Isn't that what you say to an Irishman? oh???
natured called, son called... I am so indispensable these days. Hi lady, wb.
herin :)
WB Sprite:)
Hi Sprite sorry i had to nap before i waffled the keyboard.
hello again babblers
I hope natured was relieved to see you Sprite :)
Hello Pink :::)))
no sorry required, lady. Napping is a very good thing.
Hi pink. My cat is in a weird mood
elder my dear how are you today?
there was definitely some relief there, elder :)
G'd morning pink!!! ***hugs***
Good morning all
herin, sprite, and lori hugs and kisses
hiya movie my man
Movieman, Hello
good morning movieman
G'd morning mm, lol elder thanks, I FINALLY got 'yer clue. ***drinks more coffee**
hiya pinkie! *hug* back
As usual, the 7+ words are proving elusive
yeah, here as well, movei
Pink, am doing ok. lovely day for you and little one.
it certainly is, we went to the park yesterday lil pink is still shattered from our long day lol
There is only one 7 word letter.
yeah, but 3 7+ words
I bet, Pink, but its so good for little one, helps them to sleep at night with all that activity.
anyone know what the 8 and 9 start with, first 2 letters only please?
nope
8's, plural that is
make that 4 7+ words sprite
Ci
Ci
shattered kids are a blessing
one 7 and 3 7+ words
Sorry Ci 8 and UN 8 and CI 9
8 is plural
*** sliding over and looking***
we will be doing the same thing all over again today, perfect knock out "drug"
lol sprite i agree
Am i looking at that wrong grid Only one 7?
yes there is only one 7
there is one 7, 2 8's and 1 9
Pink, yes it is, better than any medicine.
how is everyone doing?
My kitty is all snuggly even though i wrapped her in a blanket and wormed her
awwww .. herin mine has been banned from inside the flat because she clawed up the side of my leather settee
un was normal. ci's are weird. Typical....
oh bad kitty but couch can be repaired and replaced. I just don't have good furniture
I also was trying to sleep and i got a face full of hungry kitty staring at me
Thanks for the first 2 letters all, that should reduce my caffeine intake now.! :p
my leather suite cost cost £3000 im sooooooooooo not impressed
thats ok lori
Pink clip the kittys claws or buy soft paws
LoriP. if you have the ci 5/16 ... meaning its easy the 8 and 9 are extensions of this word but they are not related to the Ci 5.
I already gots 'em, thanks elder!
***The extension is stoopid, for the record***
i'll have to get the side replaced which will cost about £500....i wanted to clip them but, then i thought it was cruel to do that to Willow, she's not much of a hunter without claws
Awwee Pink. that not good Sofa's are too expensive . Could you train cat to claw one of those scratching poles.
Oh Lorip... good but you could have said before I put all that energy into the sentence.. tired.. now..:)
My head just imploded
Bad kitty Pink
I sawry elder. :(
Mush Then Herin, Ewee!!
she had a scratching pole but she never used it, so my mum gave it to my gran for her cat. Willow is about 7 years old (not sure what that is in cat years).... Huni why has your head imploded?
pinkhat, 7 years is roughly middle age in cat years
There is this thing on telly that just made my head explode. Additives and the such make kids monsters if sensitive. Really der. Some people need a slapping
I know, 'cos my Arnie will be 7 next Wednesday
My cat owns the couch corner
i thought she would have grown out of that by now mm
Does the 7 come from that ci business as well?
Ther is no CI 7 its MI 6/7
It is well documented that certain additives will impact on children's and behavior and their cognitive abilities.
Well, pinkhat, my cat still acts like a complete loony sometimes.....
Elder that is why i am sitting here imploded in the head. I am so careful with what i eat. Even if it is junk every so often. I eat everything in moderation
when my 1st brother was little, if he had a sweets or drink that contained E numbers he would be soooo hyper active and he is still the same now at 18 lol
well, if my cat carries on mm she wont have any lives left lol
Boy this is a sneaky little grid.
Herin, it is incredible the things parents provide for their children, the odd treat is fine, unless hyper sensitive. Although, I am tempted to fill up on junk food, and additives to achieve results to make me more hypo at times.. :)
I buy free range eggs or organic products and make my own cakes and such if needd.
Good morning all. Elder, my apologies for leaving last night, I never did get back to say that, yes, our holiday should be an adventure.
Elder I have found that instead of buying milk chocolate i buy dark and eat a little bit
G'd morning Haz!
Hello Lori. I agree, this grid is sneaky.
Good Morning Haz, No apologies needed but thank you. It does sound wonderful. Will you be going on Safari ?.Although ,for your husband that might feel a bit like a bus mans holiday :)
Good morning Haz
brb
Yes, we're staying for part of the time in Moshi (near Kilimanjaro) and going on safari for three days. We did safari two years ago in Kenya and really enjoyed it. Then we finish with five days in Zanzibar.
back again, family keeps demanding my attention. Hi Haz, welcome.
Hello pink and sprite.
Herin, I too adore dark chocolate and it is deemed to be good for you in small quantities.
WB Sprite.
Sounds like a blast Haz.
wb sprite
that sounds amazing Haz!!
Hax, the scenery will be fantastic! when are you going ?
my kids both were very sensitive to most colour additives and to chocolate. But they have outgrown both.
'Haz'
It should be. Seeing animals in the wild is fabulous. We're going the first two weeks in August. It's African winter, so the temperatures will suit us fine!
"Hax" heh heh heh ***me likey***
lovely, Haz. A real adventure indeed.
LoriP ... enough !!!
BBL babblers have a lovely day!!
***peanut gallery goes both ways.... :p***
Bye pink.
The best time to go.. Summer temperatures would be unbearable, and the animals would be too sleepy.
Later pink, have a good one!
Byee Pink .. have a lovely day.
LoriP... I don't want to be in DENSA!!
I thought membership of DENSA was by invitation only?
I thought it was automatically, as soon as is clear you meet the requirements
It is, and as Prez, you have not yet crossed the line elder, but careful, 'yer close..... :D
LoriP .. keeps trying to make me enroll . LOL
We need to find out. Lori?
LOL !!
Elder i just bought organic tomato pasta sauce it was nice
Is there an entry test you have to fail to qualify?
23 left after the first sweep. ***sigh***
No testing this morning.... excuse being.. on heavy meds. :)
lady to the sin bin
It's the depth of the failure that assure membership Haz.
you are already out of the game, Haz. Showing signs of intelligence, even if only once, is enough to be disqualified.
I see. Good to know.
yes Sprite.. dark Chocolate in there for you Herin :)
I love the darkest chocolat
I have taken failure to unheard of depths.....
Dang it ok im going im going
loriP LOL
But I've heard that it's fun in DENSA.
Lori: to boldly go where no man can follow...
OK, one Death by Chocolate cake in the oven, one batch of ghee cooling, one short break earned!
Haz and et al, you may noticed that I try to keep a balance of not coming over too bright or too stupid :)
keep them guessing, I say.
I have also found something very sneaky with some companys saying they are 'fair trade' when they aren't
ohhhhhh darn. I seriously should come over, lol. TOday is not going to work though. We should meet soon though, MonkeyG, and not let another Summer pass without actually doing it :)
I'd say you're very balanced, elder.
I think you are succeeding very well, elder
Monkey Hello
elder? balanced? pshaw! :D
You should report them Herin,.. misleading the public.
MonkeyG, I also would love to have those recipes. Can I beg and ask you to email them to me one day when you have time? Please pretty please with a cherry on top?
I agree! Cake won't be served until tomorrow though.... Let's try to make some plans for, say, next weekend. Niet aanstaande; wij hebben al plannen om naar een mini-dierenpark te gaan. Maar volgende weekend ziet uit goed...
I still need a recipe for real Dutch chocolate cake. The icing was boiled
Poor Lori. So bitter. So young.
Haz, one can only try, however it can be difficult in here at times.
Recipes? Sure! Herin, sorry, I don't have that one... maybe Sprite does? She's Real Dutch, I'm assimilated...
Elder it wasn't false advertising. You see the words were 'we exchange money for FAIR goods'
let me see, next weekend is not sure, a friend of mine is coming over for the week and might still be there. But if not, it sounds good to me too! Ziet er goed uit ;)
Lorip... so bitter .. obviously eats too much dark chocolate .. ah we have come full circle. :)
I hear you, elder. It certainly can be difficult to tread the fine line.
don't know any Dutch chocolate cake with boiled icing, sorry.
We are the Dutch Borg. You are assimilated. Resistance is appreciated, yet useless.
the icing wasn't boiled so much as melted.
When you get to my age, and the eyes are going, you can't even see the fine line sometimes.
Dank je, ik heb nog veel corrigeren nodig! OK, next weekend or the one after that if you want to meet my husband, any Tuesday or Wednesday is also good.
it is right under your feet, Haz.
LOL Haz..
What feet?
Futile. Resistance against the Borg is futile, against the Vogons useless. Or do I have it backwards?
oh, would love to meet the whole family. Let's email and make a date.
You got it!
Might have to wait a bit because I really should get the house looking, ummm, hygeinic today, can do more in the way of longer e-mails in the evening (except during House, of course).
nope, you have it right, MonkeyG. I was making up a Dutch variation. Hm, Haz, ok. Problem has deeper roots than I thought. Look down. Big flat surface might be there. On it, attached to you, two funny looking thingies with 5 extentions each. Most people would call them feet.
are we talking crows feet!! .. am counting ..
no hurry, MonkeyG, we will email after the birthday :)
Haz has no crow's feet. Not at all. *firmly puts thoughts of ostriches out of mind*
An elderly friend got her cataracts removed. She was astonished at what a dirty house she had been content to live in.
aw, might have been a bad move, Haz. Giving up contentment for eyesight.
Oh bless her.. what a shock..
Oops, must go put on the Aristicats for my sick little boy. Then I'd better get back to work; the ghee should be cool enough to pour out, freeing up the pan to make panneer. I think I'll try it with cardamom today. Back later!
have fun, MonkeyG.
I am fed up with wearing glasses all the time.. thinking to save up to have laser treatment.
She was content to see, just surprised at what she was seeing.
am thinking about that sometimes. But am scared. I am so critical about my eyesight. Not sure it would really be good enough.
Lol HAz, my kinda' woman!
ah, then it was a good move. Just some cleaning then... or maybe the realisation that it is possible to content with a slightly dirty house.
The cost of spectacles and the inconvenience will out way the cost over a short period of time .
Lori - that could be your excuse for not doing housework 'I just can't see well enough'
Now that you mention it, things have always seemed fuzzy to me.....
*offers a 'be' to insert in previous post, at will*
Haz, I would guess Lorip is already using that excuse:).. don't we all !.
There you go - you have a medical condition.
Ahh, see I was correct.
That is such a relief! Now i don't have to be responsible.
Just get the doctor to write you a note, pin it at the front door and then see the people give you pitying looks and gentle pats.
Sprite seen and accepted. :)
You could get a guide dog as well.
elder? Oh, the email! :D
Or better yet, one of those dogs that does the housework for you.
and you never know people may offer to clean for you LoriP.
aren't there helping hand dogs who actually could do some cleaning for you?
well, that is 3 souls and one thought :D
Sprite , no your chat further down.
I did just find 'Aunty Hetty's chocolate cake.
oh, great elder!
Yes - and LIzsark has trekked across Jordan to raise money for them. It stands to reason that a babbler should benefit.
Cleaning is highly overated, which is why my spawnlings have super immune systems.
they do have guide monkeys, cats & pigs in some places
oh, indeed Haz. Good thinking. See, DENSA is out of your reach.
I can see LoriP, pinning note to door ( in large print) to ensure authenticity.
Is there maybe a branch of DENSA that I could be in? One for those who occasionally have a good idea but who are particularly thick when it comes to some things?
and horses Dan
We could create such a branch
LOL elder
a horse inthe house would quickly solve any cleaning problems
No way, then get 'yer own acronym! DENSA has standards ya' know, low as they may be.
:D @ elder
I'd be pleased if you could. My chosen speciality of stupidity would be sewing and all things sci-fi.
you'd be so taken you wouldn't notice
Note from Lori: "Dear visitors. Most of what you deem dirty in my house comes from my bad eyesight. The rest comes from my guide horse. If it bothers you, feel free to make things better."
The older ladies 'nearly was there' group!
Missed 'yer entrance somehow, g'd morning dan
'lo
snicker
hiya nDan!
Hello Dan .
The thing about the guide horse..... have you ever had a horse stand on your foot? It gives new meaning to the term 'treading on your toes'
How 'bout FENSA Females Easily Noticing Stabled Animals?
sci fi sewing, that is a whole new area. I think most of us could be sufficiently stupid about that and join the branch. Might be fun.
Haz, I have and its agony.
small wonder you cannot find you feet, Haz. Those funny extentions most people call toes, must look like little pancakes for you?
FENSA sounds good.
lol Lori
and slapped by a horse tail .. worse than any fish in here .
elder - I was once helping a child to get on a horse. Said horse decided to stand on my foot. I couldn't make a fuss in case the child got tossed. I remember thinking 'How heavy can one creature be?'
no biting or kicking allowed though
lol Haz, yah, horses are so featherlike.....
ah, I can breathe, I'm not drippy & sticky, feels so nice [humidity has broken after over a week 95F ish & high combo]
about as heavy as a car
woot nDan, sounds good
It taught me a lesson. Stay indoors and away from horses.
Haz, Lol, the things we have to endure to prevent harm to child .
so swishing tail for feather duster, and a new mosaic floor all in the bargain
fireworks. Hope the horses are well trained and not easily spooked.
Fresh bliss Dan..
wd
darn, they removed my vid :(
Well done Sprite..!!!
I know. Come to think of it, defending children from harm has forced me to have a horse standing on my foot, and to eat tapioca without complaint.
no, not tapioca
I should just let children get on with things, shouldn't I?
poor Haz
Congratulations sprite!
Ohh.. awful .. re; the tapioca.
some things they just must suffer thru to build character
Tapioca. I was visiting a house where the children were expected to eat everything without complaint. I had to eat the tapioca and look happy.
The tapioca thing was brave. I bow in homage.
It was thirty years ago, but the memory is fresh.
Those same children are probably feeding tapioca to their children saying 'Everybody loves it!'
Gold star for bravery, Haz.
LOL !!
i suffered thru dried liver and beetroot as a child, but would not open mouth for tapioca
Tapioca is only good for a food fight, and I'm not even sure about that.
Sometimes I'm filled with guilt.
Who ever made up that pudding should be shot!.
let it go Haz,, held on far too long :)
It was a wallpaper paste manufacturer who went bust and wondered what to do with the excess stock. His name was Mr Tap I Oca.
LOL !
well, we made # 7 on national healthiest places to live list; with top 5 in general over last several years we'll be even more inundated w/ transplants; more traffic, sprawl, yuck; those lists are counter-productive
and I suspect the paste is the best in the world. to the extent that you cannot remove it easily.
thus he went bust !!
Absolutely, elder.
Where are you Dan?
VA, us
va?
virginia
Virgina ?
good morning all:)
foot of blue ridge mountains in Thom Jefferson's shadow
I must be off, family seems not able to run without my constant attention this morning. Have a grand day and/or night all of you. Hi and bye cross.
Well, this isn't getting the day kicked into any sort of shape, so I'd better head off. Back later.
tc sprite
tc sprite
G'd morning cross. Have a good one sprite.
Hello Cross.. be careful.. horses and tapioca every where here today, very messy.

Later Haz, have a good one.
Setting radar to equine.....
LOL !!
Bye Sprite... speak to you later .take care.:)
Hi
Cross, riding a 'hore' puts tapioca into a whole new meaning :)
oops...horse*
even worse would be riding something that charges $200 per half hour whilst eating tapioca
Cross :)
lol cross. Sounds masochistic doesn't it.
carefulll,i have not had my tea or meds yet:)
LoriP.. have you swallowed a dictionary ?:)
Nope, just coffee...

Billyuns, Carlee.
Where is the recipe from?
from Wikipedia: An Eccles cake is a small, round cake filled with currants and made from puff pastry with butter and topped with demerara sugar.
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Eccles-Ca kes-2/Detail.aspx
demerara sugar = powdered sugar (us)
demera sugar is a very course brown sugar
They're named after the town of Eccles in Salford, near Manchester
very different from us
Oh, I mentioned this to the earlier crew, but thought I would drop it in again. My grandfather's instructional harmonica videos, including no-hands playing and four-harmonica pieces and the organ-pipe harmonica, are online http://www.youtube.com/results?search _query=sam+hinton&search_type=&aq=f He was 84 at the time; he's 91 now.
my guess movie... a blend of allspice, nutmeg and cinnamon?
Eccles cakes are named after the English town of Eccles, in Salford, near Manchester
i seem to remember ...cinnamon flavour in them..but not strong
In 1793 James Birch’s shop on the corner of Vicarage Road in Eccles began selling small, flat, raisin-filled cakes. They sold, quite literally, like hot cakes!
bbl

On a lightly-floured surface, roll the pastry thinly and cut into rounds of about 0.5cm thickness and 10cm diameter 4. Place a small spoonful of filling onto centre of each pastry circle 5. Dampen the edges of the pastry and draw the edges together over the fruit and pinch to seal 6. Turn over, then press gently with a rolling pin to flatten the cakes 7. Flatten and snip a V in the top with scissors. Place on a baking tray 8. Brush with water and sprinkle with a little extra sugar 9. Bake in a hot oven for 20 minutes (220°C) or until lightly browned round the edges 10. Place on a wire rack and allow to cool. 11. Try not to eat them all at once!

thats what fooled me monkey
Ohhhhh!!!!!! Thanks!
This is a mean & nasty grid
abbrev for down under! LOL
And there it is!
i agree katie
Sure is Katie. Been on here off and on all day and have 41.
At least random ones like sc6 just leap out at one. That's something, anyway.
Hi all. Help with the sa words, please. I'm completely stumped.
Several have to do with cooking; many things are better with a nice se***...
Oh! Many thanks, Monkey! I hadn't looked at the left side of the grid!
How's this for pathetic though? The two na4's have me completely stumped. Little help?
Oops, I see my typo too... meant a nice sa***, of course.
I'm not surprised, Monkey. One is na + 2 more vowels.
The other is na + abbreviation for outsize (that's all I can think of!)
Ah... thanks!
the na's are what I believe are termed "babblets" -- words you will never see anywhere else
Gottem! Thanks again!
Hey, totally o-t, doea anyone have any tips for making things stuck to your skin cause less of a reaction? I'm using this heart monitor thing to keep track of my arrhythmia so we can see what's up with it, and where the electrodes stick on is getting more irritated every day.
I'm back with my coffee and scone breakfast, so can clue for awhile before I go catch my plane home. If you want 'em, fire away
mh?
monkey i am allergic to plasters...so there is no allergenic tape you can use..unless you have to have the gel to make the points contact properly
That is a real problem, Monkey. I had to give up HRT plasters for the same reason.
theres an mh?
monkey, think of the greek letter r**, change the r to m, and add s. Its a unit of measure relating to electronics somehow.
mh+out size again
Hmmm. OK, guess I'm kind of outta luck then. The electrode things are attached to the tape stuff already, so that leaves out getting other tape. And I did have this same reaction years ago when my kneecap had to be taped into a diferent position.
Thanks! Thought I had tried that...
thats what happened to me..cant you fold the tape thats on the back?
Happy Good Morning all....:/ *yawn*
I'll fiddle around with it. Maybe I can trim it. Thanks, everyone!
morning???*looks at watch*...half ya luck..lol
aaaaahhh...youre 14...that explains it..lol

ch 5/16 a cancer treatment

thank you, mom- i have been monkeying for 20 mins
ty mom, between you and me i'm down to 35, a better number to go the the list........morning flosey
you're welcome Beebee

you have to ci*** your waist tight first bernice + not off + preposition
word*
ok, thanks. looking for a stupid word...
lol
it is a tree
thanks Dagel
got it, dorens. thanks. i agree, stupid word.
un5/16 un + what did you *** ? i didn't hear you
now THAT'S a dumb word. you can't un*** something. that's like unringing a bell.
Dorens, hopefully with the list, it will be easier
I agree Bernice
now there's another unusual word. wish it were something I COULD do, i'm always saying things i shouldn't
Here, here. That is a non-word. I need demand a ruling from the judges!
it's one of those grids :)
Oh {{Dorens}}, not you :)
Hmm. Then again, maybe it's pig latin or some other strange language.
how can that be in here and lyme isn't a word?
oh yes, SO me, mom you have no idea. my babble persona would not be recognized by many of the people i know in the real world!
ty bee - it is a stupid word. I had seen it but didn't enter it because I didn't believe it!
Hello!
yes bernice, i think i've entered lyme four times already
Hi Phaeton
that stupid word made me try "unsoy." that's just as valid. red meat is unsoy. what's the problem?
:) Dorens
yw wren

fantastic movie mom! go see it, it makes you smile and smile
was almost finished last night when I had to give up or risk falling asleep right here!!
now the O word is taunting me. can someone give me the stats?
hi nan
**grabs polo's and will return them within the hour**
oh 5/16 bQ
will look into it, Dorens.
ty
You're such a GOOD mom! :))
got it, thanks dorens
good job!
dorens- is it go to the movie theatre good or wait for the dvd good?
i hardly ever think anythings worth going to the movie theater but this was!!!
Answer the burning question, Dorens... Can Meryl Streep really sing? Can Pierce Brosnan really sing?
missing an e on the left -- have the tree-like one -- stats?
if you like meryl streep, you will now LOVE meryl streep. and yes she can
and no, he CAN't, but it doesn't ruin the movie at all
did they actually sing their parts?
cybernan, respect your ***er*
Thought so. Oh well, he's good looking enough that he doesn't need to sing well.
ok- i'm holding you to that, i really want to see it, so i guess it'll be in theatre
they did, believe it or not. oh my god she is so wonderful, i can't stand it. she looked like she was having such a great time, it made you really enjoy it so much more
My hubby wants to go see the X Files movie this weekend. I told him we should wait until the first wave of fangeeks has seen it before we go.
wow, i never saw the broadway show, thought it might be too cheesy. but if the movie's good, it's worth $11
let me know beebee, after you see it, what you think. and judi too, if you go see it. i want to know if i'm crazy or not. yes, it was sort of silly, but so much fun (and me tooo about broadway bQ, i thought it sounded absurd)
you're right about the fangeeks judi. i can iimagine they are almost like trekkies
and then they had the billy joel show (moving out) and i thought it was just a fad, this recycling old songs to make a show
trekkERs, if you don't mind
I can just see them, dressed up as the Lone Gunmen or the smoking man... or worse.
and jersey boys....i've seen none of them.. not worth my money
oh sorry, i stand corrected
it looks like it would be a fun movie and i always like to study meryl streep- she never ages. but i will let you know.
i saw meryl streep coming out of my bank. it was surreal.
I read somewhere that Meryl Streep was a classically trained singer
what is this movie?
well, she sounded fine. Mammamia flosey
mommamia
I wouldn't think Meryl would have to visit a bank. I'm sure she has piles of money just laying about.
oh yes, I want to see it
im sure she wants to earn some interest on her millions
i just worried i might start singing along and people will get mad
she said she did it just to embarass her children. dancing queen, etc
i think she will win or at least be nominated for an oscar
LOL. She has enough Oscars. I doubt this is the type of movie that will be nominated for an Oscar. Unless there is a musical categorie.
remember chicago, i thnk that had many nominations
happy babbling y'all - i gotta pretend to clean :)
dancing queen was just so incredible!
sometimes i'm amazed at the movies nominated
have fun beebee
Bye, beebee. Wave that duster with authority.
sa5/14 please

Sa5/14: you put it over spaghetti.

ty Pink hat and flosey!
yw rd
*red
what exactly is ***cemeat?
I thought it was chopped up dates and nuts, not actual meat...
ok, you may know it as - a hamburger is made from ***ce beaf.
back in early days red, my grandmother did use meat in it
Ooooh, freaky. I would find that hard to stomach.
and I like meat.
it's chopped apple, raisins, currants, suet (I use butter) and brandy or rum
As much as I like any food.
I like meat pies, but not with dates and nuts
mi5/14 meat is disgusting. Most vile pie on the planet.
All 28 of us will attack-fron NYC, Newcastle, London, and Boston, our club will destroy you
It's a very rich and I love it
ok, I have to send a message to DR G
hi bob, not exactly sure why youd want to do that....We'll share the mincemeat pie.
Thanks, flosey. God speed.
Hi Judi!!!
fireworks ... finally
and pb for you red
Howdy, Red.
Darn it all.
I hope there is something good in there. I'm about to go off and try out a new pari of runners...
good morning, everyone - red, flosey, judi, wildcat
I get nervous when changing shoes.
hi jb
Hiya, JBV!
JBV how are you?
gonna run hagd e1
he5/16 please
the pie you were describing sounds interesting - never had it but it the combination of fruity and meaty sounds like what we put in the stuffing in a thanksgiving turkey
Change is sometimes good, Red. As Nike says, "Just Do It".
he 5/16 - bottom edge of a garment + first two letters of frozen water
thx JBV
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! For every one of us Dr G removes, ten more will fill his place! Rmember the four gals who attacked on saturday? they are our subooridinates
jbv the pie has sugar also, I don't think it would be same as your stuffing - and it is (mi***d) ground fairly fine - raisins and currants left whole - I believe it is probably English
some day i hope to have that much free time.
Get a job, Bob.
Judi, very funny, the new shoes are Nikes...I could not afford my old standards. Pearl Izumi...
I like the pie, BUT...not with real meat in it.
flosey - sounds delicious to me - I'm not eating such foods right now (trying to take off quite a few more pounds) but I would love to try it one day
How is the "diet" going JBV?
good luck JBV with your diet - stick with it, you'll be so proud of yourself
red, I'm more or less stuck at about 42 pounds - and I know I should be exercising - I should have been inspired by your dedication but can't seem to get moving
Don't be too inspired. My Doctor has me scaling back on the exersise. Have you tried anything like Water aerobics? Nice if you have sore joints.
is it me, or is this grid tough?
JBV, I lost 50 pounds a few years back - when to exercise class for heart patients 3 x week and cut back on red meat, sugars and fats
I love the water but have not made the effort to get enrolled in a gym or club - and let's not think about finding a bathing suit!
Jasmine, the grid is tough.
but JBV, if everyone is there for same purpose, you would not feel any different than the others
JBV, shop on line for a suit, much easier. Its summer time! A great time to be in the pool, I'm thrilled because I have a super tan...
Of course its florida, so everyone else does too.
cy 5/16 please the second one
same first 4 letters, plural
is it too terrible to admit that I spent three days last week in Cape May - one of the most beautiful beaches in NJ - and did not go in the ocean or pool even once
plural the cy 4,7 tijani
No JBV, unless you really really wanted to go in and let somthing stop you...
the one after that
I did walk a lot though, up and down the beach and along some wonderful nature trails - it was beautiful
tij, if you have the plural, then you're missing the one in between, add a vowel
walking is very good JBV
Fireworks! This calls for more coffee.
yep, the week I was on vacation I lost 2.2 pounds!
congrats, Judi!
WTG Judi - you certainly deserve some treat for finishing this grid
That's outstanding, JBV. Good for you. Dieting alone just doesn't do it for me. I have to go to the gym and punish myself on a regular basis.
WOOHOO! JUDI!
With coffee comes real work. See you kids tomorrow.
great JBV - I presume you're back to work now, is there any way you can continue walking? - a short walk at lunchtime - or coffee break?
what are you eating for your diet, JBV?
I'm off to face the day - lots to do and expect daughter coming
be back at flip time

I would guess it is -- I found three spread over 5 years enough work for me!
hi there
hi Dorens
hey dorens!
need any clues Sean?
they all play together really well. all have distinct personalities. so far so good!
I find two spread over two years MORE than enough for me.... *sigh* and it all goes so fast.
the ch6's at the top, nan?
bye top i mean beginning of list...
doesn't it though, stid -- can't believe my 'baby' is turning 37 this year
I took care of my 18 m.o. grandaughter for 2 weeks [while her parents were at work]. One was enough to exhaust me out
that is wonderful, orangecat -- glad they're doing well.
can anyone clue me the mi6/7 plz? Just can't make any sense of it.
all begin with that science I was never very good at, Sean
wow nan. that's wonderful!
hoyle
it does all go so quickly, kids i mean. i look back and can't believe it's gone
sorry
Oh I got it!
LOL bichon! I know exactly what that's like -- looked after a friend's two kids a couple years back. For one day. whew!
go sandie go!
that's the nice part about grandchildren, bichon -- you can hand them back!
sandie. jewish folks need a certain number of people before they can properly say prayers... like a quorum
thanks, nan :)
After reading herthe same book 5 times in a row, I was dizzy
Thaniks Dorens
my husband's parents live nearby. grampa is so proud of these kids ... he takes them out for walks and walks and walks
must have been a Dr. Seuss?
oh, and thanks for the h word, bichon! LOL
Always hated 'inside a box upside down' -- of course the kids loved it
no, she's not that old yet. It was a pat the critter type
mmm stomach gloop. lovely word
hello there atalante!
That's lovely, OrangeCat -- and so is he! We lived over 2000 miles away from our families when the kids were young
stomach glooop?
ch5/20
for mi6 word, think of the ban*** tree but instead of ba, use mi
doorbell sound atalante
ahhh had the word, didn't have definition
yes, I have it, cnan. it's stomach acidy gloop
oh -- didn't know what it meant either
ch 5 think of a doorbell sound, but the sometimes vowel

what part of columbus are you?
it's okay dorens, haven't done much this week (the teacher is gone) because I hurt my arm and hand. Have only just (late yesterday) been able to hold small objects, will try writing today.
oh yes veryyyyyy
any clue for the un8/60?
sorry to hear that stid, but nothing stops you from babbling, eh?
but I am enjoying math more than I have in years....
oh, um. actually it did. For about two days.
un + cl6, ouWa
if you want to relax, ouwachita you have to un****** your muscles
un + cl 6
I did a lot one one-fingered typing with my unimpaired hand and didn't finish the grids.
thanks...got it
oh wow... you're the one who babbles through migraines, so it must have been impossible. sorry
lived in this area long, shorty?
ok, i'm off now.. have to go for walk in the woods. summertime is definitely good to me. enjoy the day, all
4 years sean
it's been pretty rough. And yesterday I could have done more than babble, but needed the distraction so I gave myself permission to just sit and babble.
like it so far?
*thinking sean and shorty recognize each other on the street but don't know who they are!*
later dorens! have a lovely day. :-D
oh ((((stid)))) hope it's gone soon
yes i do but i still miss canal winchester where i use to live
anyone have the last cy? the last cy 5/18?
i wouldn't doubt it stid!
i used to go out to canal every now and then... haven't been there in a while
been in the columbus area a long time, then?
ruru -- not a person who is sarcastic -- but similar word
you two should go to the mall and wear your babble t-shirts...
im from groveport originally so I've been here all my life
thanks
not gonna lie, stid... don't have a babble t-shirt
yet :P
I don't have one stid :(
wow. I passed halfway some time ago. Should get some laundry going.
LOL sean and shorty! guess you'll have to make your own signal then! (walk around with a scrabble game under your arm?)
LOL
yes, but then sctrach out the "SCR" and replace with a giant "B"
there you go! we babblers are a creative (if strange) lot!
may I have help for the i on the far right and the o word? just count and such? I don't want to look at the list until I come back...
s

anything else?
36 elses...go have a great day!
can't really... stuck at a desk at work :(
oh..alas!
awwww
I see you're a vegan..do you eat mostly raw food or cooked?
cooked... raw food isn't as good :)
raw food is yummy!
hmm....I've been eating more raw lately--mostly in raw smoothies or salads
definitely better for you, babs and ata
and do eat raw foods, i just prefer a cooked meal usually
*I* do
cooked meals always feel more filling somehow
what's your fave thing to make and eat?
i tend not to have favorites as a general rule... but i do pretty well at making mexican food, which i enjoy very much
what i've noticed is with green smoothies in the a.m. I crave lots less food the rest of the day..mix up salad greens, spinach with fruits and water in a blender
especially with vegan sour cream... (tastes just like real sour cream, but better for you!)
definitely good for you, babs... i rarely even eat breakfast... i'm not the healthiest vegan :P
brealkfast I have as my hot meal of the day. I can't get through to lunch with a big bowl of oatmeal and fruit
well...once I discovered the smoothie idea from a raw food teacher and nutritionist, I got hooked...very quick in the a.m.
i have a problem with waking up in the morning, so breakfast is pretty far down on my priorities list
can i ask, how many CY words are there?
you vegan as well, ata?
mm...sean...that might be a good reason for bkfast...lol!
5 cy words, bernice
ok, that's what i';m missing...
nope, but I do tend to eat mainly veggie things. But I retain the right to eat fish and steak when I feel like it!
got it.
i'm so pleased that the general population is becoming increasingly vegetarian friendly
yes! and more gluten free foods!
just back from a college visit..many schools into locally farmed and fresh foods
I was "properly" vegetarian until I went to uni, when I thought that cutting up animals during the day in labs was somewhat inapproproiate for a strict vegetarian. Now I just like veggie food
nothing wrong with gluten really... unless you're like my mom and have cyliac disease
can someone clue ch 6/36 for me?
ata, i still have a problem with the idea of cutting up animals... main reason i went vegetarian
ch + sometimes vowel + ***rophone
ch 6/36, related to the one before, adjectival form
I've never particularly enjoyed it LOL. But doing a biology degree kind of leads you that way ...
ty
yw
yes, i suppose it would
hi all! bottom row done :-)
I think a lot more people have become gluten intolerant because of how growers have messed with our food supply
(ie we had to do some dissections or get thrown off the course!)
very possible, babs
and just about everything has some kind of MSG in it still
and just about everything has some kind of MSG in it still
they just call it something else now
ch 8/55?
yes! too bad we go in so many unhealthy directions in creating food!
I mean ci 8/55?
builds on ci5, directly before, puggy
plural for 9
I thought so, but haven't come up with it
how many ci5 are there?
ci5 + hop ** pop + first vowel

TY!

yep yep

mango is my fave fruit!
i don't think so...
kumquat
oh - thanks peri
i would agree, beeze... i can't think of anything better than a mango (in terms of fruit)
i don't think i have either - wonder what it is like?
i think both are accepted spellings
i read that mango is the number one most loved fruit in the world
help with ch5/18 please
very similar to ch5/20, different last cons.
don't have ch5/20
rhymes with julia the famous tv cook
for 5/20, think what a doorbell does... only using somtimes vowel
thanks Sean
I can't get the clue to work on ci5-16...any way to reword maybe? Thanks.
ty sean :)
yw :)

speaking of food from earlier, do you ever make kasha, ata? (buckwheat groats) just made myself a bowl with butter and coconut oil.
hello from me too
is there only one H 6?
*looks at fm* do we have buckwheat or groats?
Lynxx Hi how are you and the woofer too?
we buy it here in packaged box and just boil and simmer.
babs - I had buckwheat kasha (grechnevaya kasha) for lunch today...with a little fried chicken and onions) Fabulous!
buckwheat yes, groats are very old coins!
Both rugged up, seems to be a colder winter than normal.
buckwheat used alot here as option for raw food recipes instead of nuts
where are you, babs?
yum, jeanne!
austin, tx
filling, tasty....low glycemic...but to heck with the health qualities...it's the taste that counts! I love it with a little milk and sugar as well...to put myself to sleep! I'm in Omaha, Nebraska.
*shivers in the heat* thinking about winter, ugh.
I don't think we get those
I hadn't eaten it cooked in years --happy to have it again..great flavor!
I find my buckwheat at a Middle East store; sometimes I go to Lincoln, NE, where there are some good Slavic stores. Whole Foods has it, but it's pricier.
hmm. ata...sort of surprising since it's a simple, common grain (I think anyway)
Whole Foods made it to Nebraska I take it!
I've just gotten a flour mill for my KitchenAid mixer; I'm hoping to make buckwheat flour for pancakes and noodles.
we do have gay vodka though!
gay vodka??
gay vodka!!!! Oh, my!
*giggles*
now I'm curious!
is it pink?
there's a limited edition of Absolut called Absolut Pride. The bottle is rainbow coloured.
in Russia I know it's "blue"
Wow. That's pretty cool they do that. It's one way to make a statement!
so it's a sex preference discriminating drink then? :D
and some of the profits go to a gay and lesbian charity. it's *fab*!
lol Babs
pancakes should be great with buckwheat, jeanne! invite me in for a sample?
there, look in my flickr :)
you're cyber speedy Ata! great message on the bottle!

BRB
Was watching a show on working dogs - spaniels used for drug or bomb detection - their tails did not stop wagging. Even when they found a bomb and had to freeze to avoid setting the bomb off, their bums were wiggling all over the place.cute
a little test. what would you think "sproingy" would mean? just from the word?

But it's earlier than it will be in another 2 hours?
I've finally worked out who the foofy one is.
lol
did you see the article in the news today about strange kids names in NZ?
That was a devil of a grid today
Do tell Ata
A judge in New Zealand made a young girl a ward of court so that she could change the name she hated - Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii
Allowed: Violence; Number 16 Bus Shelter; Midnight Chardonnay; Benson and Hedges (twins) Blocked: Yeah Detroit; Stallion; Twisty Poi; Keenan Got Lucy; Sex Fruit; Fat Boy; Cinderella Beauty Blossom; Fish and Chips (twins)
Parents need their heads examined.

Storm is a dog's name

Yes - somebody on babble called their dog Storm. Now who was it?
oh yes, I had a question for the Hazster
Oh yes?

Absolutely nowhere near. The only Brittas I know (apart from the comedy man) is Brittas Bay, below Dublin.
thx lynxx one left the second mo5/12 please for fireworks
this is Ballybrittas, Co Laois. I've never even heard of Co Laois. But it sounded NI rather than Ireland, but I'm probably wrong
Ballybrittas is in County Laois, apparently.
You'll have heard of Portlaoise Jail? Same county.

He can't be more famous then Kylie or Rolf.

hello all
Hello peri.
I think he thinks he is
so you offloaded him to us? thanks!
Hi peri
He's not known here for his singing, though. People are more caught up with his intellectual side.
He certainly wasn't 'famous' though, just a nice looking guy who could sing & dance. No hits that I can recall

there are 5 un words hurshy
And hi everyone
the internet is acting up here...
are they all... short?
congrats, stid!!!!
no, there is a un 8/60
un4, 5, 8, 4, 5
merci, all! *takes a bow*
oh, stid, I'm so very sorry about Buffy . . . hugs to you and y our family
I have half an hour more before I have to go get the kid again... *sigh* I know he loves being in this play, but I have to admit that living outside town makes the constant driving a bit much.
well, may i have help with the 8 unless it will make me want to kick myself in the head, which i can't do anyway?
thanks Une. She was a dear, wonderful companion for me.
un8 to let go
un + c6 hurshy.... don't be so uptight!
my condolences, too, stidmama
i'm not!
thanks kris
LOL no, that was a clue hurshy!
:)
thanks then :)
thanks for the clues stidmama - I didn't have the c6 either
me neither, hence my thickness
aha! I see... I got the c when the un8 was clued, too.
but that was some time ago, and I couldn't remember how the other people clued it!
okay, I have to go. *sad face* though I wish I could stay a little longer. Enjoy the grid! It's not too bad for one this size, at least. *poof*
odd, though, the word sounds like something a doctor might say before doing something unpleasant
byeeee
true! LOL
well, if anyone cares to mention what the other 8, and/or the 7 or the 9, starts with, that would be lovely
ci8 and 9 - the 9 is a plural of the 8
i wish it were cinnamon
Lickety says the 7 starts with m
I wish so, too!
but it starts with the c that's like a belt
mi6/27 and plural
phonetic spelling of those who must obey me!
I mean the 7 starts with M and the 8 and 9 start with the belt word
thanks and woohoo!
thanks, Une!
woohoo for you hurshy!
:-D
not like, done woohoo, just, happy to get the words woohoo
woohoo for those words, then! (I'll take any woohoos with this grid - woohoo for me I have 2 gray columns!)

there is a 7 derived from the belt word ci5? hi all

Hi Owl
The l word is the last name of the director of Elephant Man, Blue Velvet, Twin Peaks.
the l is a mob from the old south in usa
No - there is an 8 and a 9 from the belt word.
And they are not really belt words, just start like the belt word

I might be able to cover a boob and a butt cheek...
:)!!!!!!!! I actually really like Joe the quiet guy, hes not getting a lot of attention, sooo.
I'm surprised that the designers weren't telling the models that they need at least so much fabric.
who's joe and what does he have to do with boobs and butts?
There were some really pretty dresses, but when Nina said short tight & shiny look cheap, how many designers groaned!
Project Runway ruru

I'm copying a few paras from my short short walmart essay:
yVw
Wal-Mart has no respect for its employees. Wal-Mart defines “full time†as 28 or more hours a week, and employees are kept below 28 hours a week so they won’t receive benefits. Hourly workers are sent home early if business is slow. Only “full-time†employees with at least two years with the company are eligible for health insurance, and pay 35 percent of it themselves. Many Wal-Mart employees earn so little they are on food stamps or other public assistance.
I think I could write it too Gwen
eegad, formatting problems! (sorry)
Wal-Mart has no respect for its customers. Comparison shopping (writing down prices) will get you thrown out of the store. As many as 10 percent of items are over-priced due to scanner mistakes. Products are stacked so high that falling merchandise has injured more than 25,000 people since the first Wal-Mart opened in 1962.
geez i always thought they were a good commpany to owrk for
Kmart isnt exactly better though
Wal-Mart has no respect for your city. Deposits in the local bank are instantly transferred to corporate headquarters in Arkansas. Every dollar you spend there permanently leaves the area and can never be reinvested in your city.
Kmart? compared ot walmart, kmart is a saint (so to speak)
i thought ti was Taget and Kmart who are hurting?
HE 5/16 clue please
Wal-Mart profits from child labor and black market trading. Apparel sold at Wal-Mart is made in sweatshops around the world, like the one in Bangladesh where children earn 5c an hour, or the factory in Honduras where children work 75 hours a week for 31c an hour, or the prison factories in China where labor is free. Wal-Mart illegally imports these products, breaking US laws.
*pops head into chat* hi all. just read gwen's paragraph. I was thrown out of a Jewel-Osco in NM with my infant daughter for doing comparison shopping. It was right when the WM was going to open and they accused me of being a spy for WM!
I heard that Wal-Mart was opened with the specific goal of putting K-Mart out of business...how vindictive
Heard that too lexie
fruit, if i owned a store i would be very wary of mall-wart spies too!
mall-wart has a well-established policy of copying prices of competitors and undercutting them by a few pennies until competitor dies
yikes fruit
And also, if you are a music person like i am its the only place to buy them at a store, even though i think they got in trouble for their low prices on their cds and dvds as well
Wal-Mart executices caught lying. Wal-Mart deliberately and viciously builds new stores where they are not wanted and lies about its intentions while doing so. Wal-Mart was forced to change its slogan, "Always the Low Price, Always" to "Always Low Prices" when it was revealed prices were not the lowest. Sam's Club (owned by Wal-Mart) used to be called "Sam's Wholesale Club," but the term "wholesale" was dropped after it was revealed prices were significantly higher than wholesale prices.
Gwen so how do they get away with it?
Had a friend who was a pharmacist for WM in TX. She had quite the tales of woe.
being a big bully you can get away with anything. just ask george w
now - leave George out of this
must equate the two, they act the same, in the important ways anyway
Wal-Mart has no respect for America's small businesses. Wal-Mart, which employs over 700,000 people, exploits life insurance benefits and closure provisions of the federal tax code designed to help small businesses.
fruit, do tell!
evening folks; pls help with the SA 5/14
Wal-Mart has no respect for its suppliers. They call suppliers collect. Suppliers are routinely underpaid and lose their contract if they complain. Merchandise is often returned to them without notice and packed so badly it can't be resold.
sa5, glob you put on your biscuits
glop (OY)
I like sa5 on my spaghetti noodles
He 5/16 clue please?
oh, duh, you put gravy on your biscuits (just forget i meanted it)
thnx. that took care of all those SAs
It was quite a few years ago but I remember that she was working something like 80 hr wks and forced to complete part of her job on her own time, send people home even when there was work, etc.
he + lead singer rolling stones
he + ***key mouse and he+ ***nie mouse
ty
fruit, that is disgusting, and parallels other stories i've heard
But you know a lot of companies say ful time and arent
of course, but that doesn't make it right!
i'm sure a lot of companies have some shitty policies, but mall-wart has them ALL
Never will be probably Gwen even those stores make millions
our city park district keeps some employees at 35 hrs and calls it 'pt' so they don't pay benefits.
i came up with a way to price shop in mall-wart: just bring along a shopping cart and put a few things in it as you go, so you look like a real shopper. then abandon cart when you leave
fruit that happens all too often unfortunately
I get paid full for part - school distric!!!!
you can drive them crazy by making them match all ads- BUT only drives and actual person crazy - not the evil MAN
my goal is just to tell everyone not to shop there EVER 8-)
Okay = wanna know why I hate Best Buy??
lex, so do i. why do you? (leans forward)
my daughter applied there before they opened - her application said she could work everyday eEXCEPT sunday - she explained to the hiring manager that this was religious and that we do not shop or eat out on sunday
oh, forgot to post this handy website: http://www.sprawl-busters.com/
i didnt think i was going to get those H words
she LOVED the job - they started to schedule her for SUNDAYS only - so she asked her manager to change that he told her for 6 weeks that he would
sc 6/24?
scuant
sc = a very nice view, like for tourists : sc**** overlook
lol
I finally went in and very professionally asked to talk with the store manager about it...they told me that she HAD to work on sunday and that she could go to church because they ran 2 shifts
I asked him to look at her application and understand that although she was not trying to make waves - she would no longer come in...
disgusting! perhaps they really wanted to fire her and did this to make her quit?
they called her in and WROTE HER UP because I talked to them and when she said she'd not work anymore sundays they handed her papers to explain why she was quitting
bunch of effing assholes, pardon my english
i already hate them as a customer, now i hate them as an empoyer too
IN 5 clue please
she is a fabulous worker...they were just forcing the issue = there was another girl who worked daily as a nurse and wanted Saturday and weeknight work - asked for SUNDAYS off and they did the same to her
in5 = a hotel, past tense
we should have sued them - they would have lost
ty got it
i had a company treat me in a similar way, but was too dense to realize what was going on at the time
YW
once i sold a book on bullying, and it was all about shit like that
(pardom by anglo-saxon again)
the experience was hard on her = she had just left a similarly bad experience with YMCA - she was afraid to get another job
she works for a Country Club now as a server - and she really likes it
nice big tips i hope!
MI 5/16 clue please
I am at my usual 66 words

Really Gwen slow going for you ?
i run my biz out of my tiny apartment, which save me having to have a lease on a store. i'm chicken about that, for sure

mlfan, i never intended it to be my main source of income until about 2004 when i gave up looking for a "real" job and threw everything into it

I'll have to check it out...I do alot on amazon - because I can get my textbooks used and cheap and resell them too
i never buy party supplies, with one exception: i love those tiny erasers shaped like bats -- they are the best eraser!!
