i had one student my last year who actually caller her mother "ma'am" and asked her permission before just about everything. i was shocked that that level of respect still existed...

the nice thing about this school is there are no grades. The teachers actually write what you learned and what kind of student you were. It means a lot more later on, because the transcript itself can serve almost as letters of recommendation!
