can I ask you all to think of me, this morning? I am due at the assessment doctor in 2 hours, he or she is going to decide if I will get a disability benefit and if so, how much. I cannot breathe and am ready to run or die, but I must go. So much depends on this doctor that I have never met and never will meet again... please help me pray it will turn out well.

it was the same unkind doctor who declared me almost completely healthy 3 years ago. But he was not really unkind this time, seemed to take me seriously now. He expects that for now I will be found completely unable to work, if the employment expert agrees. And he wants me back for a new assessment in 6 - 12 months.

no, I need to see that expert pretty soon, I expect. After that, it will be decided how much benefit I am going to get. Not sure about the one piece, actually, I am stressed out and filled with cotton thingies ;)
did I tell my work has neglected to register my being sick since 2 years with the personnel department? THey are rushing things now, so I expect to hear from that expert this week or next.
Just take (and enjoy) one day at a time Sprite, thats all any of us can do. I do hope they can fast track this for you

am not really happy with the short term re-assessment, but that was to be expected. They don't like people getting a benefit here, they do all they can to get them working again. But we will cross that bridge over 6 - 12 months, for now it looks good.

Sweet & Sour Sauce * 1 small can pineapple juice (or juice from a 15-1/4 oz. can pineapple chunks, drained) * 1/4 cup ketchup * 1/4 cup brown sugar * 1/4 cup vinegar * 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch * 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic * 1/4 teaspoon mustard powder * 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (or less) * 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger Preparation: Mix all together and cook over medium heat until thickened. May be prepared in microwave in microwave-safe bowl. Microwave about 4-1/2 minutes on high or until thick, stirring every minute.

I'm eating my oatmeal while I babble so I don't miss the upcoming meat pie recipe. Nothing like eating breakfast and drooling over the thought of dinner.
Memere's Meat Pie 1# ground beef 1/2 # ground pork 4 medium potatoes onion powder 1/4 tsp cinnamon pie crust break the meat into a large skillet cover with water cook on low for 25 to 30 minutes drain meanwhile, in a separate pot, peel and cube potatoes cover with water, add salt if desired and bring to a boil lower heat, cook 15 minutes, covered drain and mash add nothing put bottom crust in large pie plate mix meat and mashed potatoes, sprinkle generously with onion powder and cinnamon. mix in pile into crust, top with second crust; vent make an egg wash and brush on crust bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes

Yes, I just read the front page of the newspaper before I came here.
I've never had the problem peri. But you have to make the pesto very soon after the basil is picked, so it is still bright green. Then I just dump it, and garlic, olive oil, any combo of pine nuts, pecans, walnuts that I'm in the mood for, and lots of very good parmesan reggiano, and freeze imeediately. Some batches stay a lighter green than others but they are all green. Some people just do the basil and oil and freeze it in ice cube trays to save freezer room and then ad the rest later.

7 years ago I had just quit my job and was on my way to a volunteer job at Franlin Park Zoo-something I had always wanted to do. When the news came on of the first plane something sounded very, very wrong. When the rest unfolded I was holding two orphaned baby possums and can remember crying and talking to the possums about how lucky they were not to be human, and how no other animal ws capable of our level of insanity. Or at least not with opposable thumbs and a large prefrontal cortex capable of putting the insanity into such terrible action.l Really I think that humans are not such a great experiment.

Eva, how awful! I was far enough away and was affected by what I was witnessing. I cant imagine being down there. My friends daughter walked down 82 flights of stairs. Her boss told everyone to get out as soon as it happened. He saved her life.

Pug - how many months? Mine have been going on for about a year or more now. My Mum's in her 70s and she still suffers. She has a friend in her 80s who also does. That's v. depressing news.

Thing is, about HRT, FM. I have friends who say or have said that, but I also know far too many women who spent 10-12 years on it and then lost one or both breasts.

Well, the 'Pill' didn't sit me when I was younger, I kept getting leg pains, so, I don't think HRT is for me. I'll keep on taking the herbal stuff and drinking soya and eating various seeds and beans until I rattle. Fortunately, I love fish.
