I've got no cranberries on the bush I bought last year.:( I'm waiting for the fresh ones to come into the shops so I can make cranberry and apple sauce and freeze it ready for Christmas.
Blueberry bushes are easy to grow, provided you use ericaceous compost.

blueberries are so expensive here they mostly come from New Jersey and of course Maine get them there when we're up at the cottage
Soft fruits are expensive here, too. A handful of raspberries or blackberries costs a lot in the supermarket. Thing is, I can pick raspberries in my garden and blackberries grow wild all around here.
I grow as much as I can myself. At least I know where it's come from then and that no pesticides have been used.

Ruru, I helped my friend who married a non-US woman. Their forms were lost. They were mailed to Chicago, then CA, but their interview was in Phx. Their file was lost twice in the process, but she got her green card. Took about a year. That's fast.
I worked hard. I worked for stables and newspapers and was seriously injured twoce and threatened more than once, because I was in a class that can be exploirted without danger. Still have trouble with my right foot and both arms. So it goes; I made it through and I have my passport.

My husband smokes a pack a day and has "the lungs of an athlete", according to a pulmonologist after full-spectrum lung function tests. Nothing is set in stone. I am very overweight and eat too many eggs and the like, and my cholesterol is great. Go figure.
There are always exceptions to the rule. However, it is true that the high sugar diet is causing more children to develop diabetes.
Don't get me wrong...I like some junk ONCE IN A BLUE MOON - but since I've been eating healthier, more organics, and less junk on a daily basis, I feel SCADS better than I used to....

Sorry fact: corporations have been allowed to dump chemicals for years, and dump on their employees . Ever since they were allowed "entity" status versus charter status. MetFan, good for you. I just opened a holistic assisted living home for the elderly in Scottsdale, AZ. Growing organic veggies in the backyard and have healers lined up to give massages, teach yoga, breathing, etc.
And I take a mountain of supplements, which I credit for most of my good health....
The apnea hasn't been a problem since I got a C-PAP machine to sleep with, seven years ago....

Hmmm...I really like the cryptic clues that some people give. They're more fun for me when the penny drops. It takes me back to the old days of Babble before the "spell it out" norms for clues took over...
I like all types of clues... the hard ones make you think, and if I don't get it, can always ask again... everyone has their own style, I like it that way
sometimes I give clues that reference chemistry or another science, because the word is from that field
Was once a babbler who was queen of being clueless (and sometimes still am) so I can relate to those who need a lot of help. I do not mind those that ask a lot since they are giving me a chance to pracitce cluing.

The answer was "teiid" -- Ted being "little Edward" and the two eyes are obvious.
Definitions are good...it actually helps you "learn" a word...but if to obscure, help on it's spelling is sometimes welcome.
