In my most humblest of opinions, as I watch the chat, it seems that the only thing that gives rise to disliking KT's icon is the line underneath: Babblers for McCain/Palin. I think the irritation stems from the grouping of all Babblers (frequenters here) who may have a different opinion. So, if the lower line were removed, there would be no harm done; just a personal opinion being posted. Is my understanding on track?

I think I had the same thing though pushing myself with manual labor for many years (while in college) and now paying for not taking good care of myself (invincibility and youth and all etc)

They were rather against things like Mascots. But we had some kick A** teams...

I think the moose got adopted with locks on our bedrooms to make the school more appealing to the younger generation. We had a Moose head in the rec center who knew it was out mascot.

well, you still have to get the med from your doc, but there is a lot of variables that go into medication choices for particular patients, and ads just confuse it... like everything else, patients often think they need the latest and most expensive, when more often than not, it isn't the best choice for them... advertisers know how to make you want something, whether it is a pizza or a drug... they get paid the big bucks for a reason
and if my daughter was a bed wetter i wouldn't have given her any of them as the side effects were horrendous
there are several meds with "official" uses that are also used for off reasons....
see - that is one thing lill - why all of a sudden do more than half of patients think they all need a sleeping pill
There is Flomax which was originally (I think )designed to help men with prostate problems, and now its widely used for people with kidney stones as well. it freaks out all the women who know it.
I sometimes sleep poorly, everyone does, but I guarantee you, knowing what I do, I will not use a sleeping pill, yet my patients are convinced bythe commercials that they are benign

it wsa because he was suffering from alot of pain and the pain killers helped but not alot, but it was the dr's opinion to put him on them, only for a few weeks, he's stopped them now and can't sleep again...probably why people get addicted to these sort of tablets
every treatment decision is a risk benefit analysis, but I think docs and patients minimize the risk until they have a bad side effect...

red - this is common, every time I do a ward month, I make my team go through and stop all the sleeping meds they wrote for without even thinking... we review the literature that clearly link them to falls, delirium, and hospital complications and they finally start to realize
my mantra to them is... NOTHING you do is benign... everything has risk, so your job is to make sure that the benefit outweighs the risk
the pain killers he was given make him sleepy, but then he's nodding off in the day so that's why he can't sleepat night
I must admit to liking to give phenergan when I have a very difficult patient....

apparently tucker just started moving stuff around, and they decided they could use him... the zoo keeper said it is good exercise and better than having him holed up in his barn

I help out once a week - I've managed to get myself the job of making tea and coffee. It's much less dangerous than side-walking which I used to do (walking beside the rider holding them on). We have a range of riders from physically handicapped children through to mentally handicapped children and adults.

For those in wheelchairs it's a new experience to be up above people -and it's great work for their muscles. For mentally handicapped it can help with discipline and with knowing that here's something they can do and often very well.
we had a horse at camp that use to like to catch people standing by the paddock fence, then wonder over and lean up against them trapping them against the fence... he never hurt anyone, but it was weird... he definitely knew what he was doing
so when you saw him coming, you moved
Each horse seems to have their own peculiarities, but they seem to respond to the chlldren and work to their needs.
i bet they select the horses that are sensitive to that... we do the same with dogs and cats for pet therapy with our NH patients
some of the animals just are more intuitive and seem to sense what each person needs
Yes, it's not every horse that's suitable - and they have to be matched in terms of weight as well.

NOW I am told that in order to get the financial aid I need I have to be enrolled in a class before they will disburse funds.
What does the fine aid office say about this?
THIS means that I have missed the window of opportunity to sign up for an alternate program that would have worked if I don't get into the waitlisted class (which is my first choice).

well off and on because i was cooking as well so missed lots of time to make 10 pounds of chicken breasts and rice and cooked carrots, loaded and unloaded dishwasher and on and on.

just to confuse you, Salt Spring Island is one of the Gulf Islands, just north of the San Juans, between Vancouver and Vancouver Island, at the southern end of which is Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, and none of them is very near to Vancouver, Washington, which is in the state of Washington and not much to do with Washington, DC, the capital of the USA :)
