not a bookmobile and you can also designate them to be picked up at your closest branch but for $100 (that I pay when I am at the library the next time) they are actually mailed right to your house.
we used to be able to get books mailed to houses -- about 30 years ago, the state was mostly rural. Now that most people are in the cities they don't do that so much.

Hi all - I am back today - i had an accident on Thursday - pretending I was superwoman and did a Walter - have a lovely graze all over my right temple and a balck eye to die for along with some broken ribs on the right side and bruised ribs on the left and bruises all over my knees and hands!

I think vicious cats are often created by their owners (not always). We are very lucky with these two, who never ever even put their claws out in play to us.

That's right. Cats love to interact with their "owners" and accept you as the leader of their pack. Even rescue cats we've had (come to think of it, nearly all of our cats have been rescue) we have been able to accept being handled, being fussed.
We had one cat which was like a wild thing when we had her. Every day I picked her up and stroked her, put her down. Eventually she used to go around draped round the back of my neck!
I think some people are afraid of their cats, and don't like to say no, so if the cat behaves "badly" then they just let it be.

that's really good - we would get one but we have a very busy road out the front of our house and my hubby lost two cats within 3months of each other to traffic where we lived before and that road was even quieter so until we move we will unfortunately be cat free

When my current 2 were small (and they were VERY small) I had a desktop pc with a tower. They loved to sleep on the tower, so in the end I had to put a raised tray on it to keep their fluff out of the tower!

no the litters are from the other 2 lady dogs this breeder owns. She only breeds once a year, or once every 2 years. So there are many years between litters of the same mum.

OK. The cat's lump, which as many may recall was classed as benign, has started growing at a really extreme rate. The vet is horrified. She is scheduled for x-rays Tuesday. If it has not invaded the chest wall we will do new biopsies and if still benign we will look into surgery. Something has to be done. It's bigger tahn her head and growing FAST. But she is not havinga ny pain.
So that is the bad news. Good news coming up...

Yeah, Walter had a good time for much of it and "not so much" for some, he says, but he want sto do it again, and it has maked a greatleap in his social skills too. He was VERY shy (as always) about saying what they wanted hom to-- then AFTER he did, he just opened right up to everyone! Good lesson. He says he definitely wants to do it again, and was disappointed they didn't want him to pretend to be someone else and"eat and sing", so he clearly "gets" what acting is all about.
I am taking a half-time program called the Ecology of Language and Place, JBV. I need 4 credits in grammar, and some in world geography and some in Pac NW History to get into the Master's program next year.

Leanne does some very special work. As an undergrad she helped teh Havasu develop a written form of their language-- and she's only gotten more impressive since. IT'd be intimidating of she wasn't so kind and generous and all that.

Last time I went snorkeling I went to an amazing place where, when you swim out about a quarter mile, there is an 800 foot drop beneath you. It was SO SCARY, but I loved it
The swan takes really ugly people gives them massive and invasive plastic surgery they compete with each other (2 at a time) and the winner goes in to a beauty pagent at the end.
Secondo really thought she would give it a go, but backed out on the day. No big whoop. we will try again when she is older
its fun diving off places like that, you can just float down and down and down
I was only snorkeling, I don't know how to dive.

We had a bit of an issue on holiday. Mr McG likes snorkelling in the shallows but is scares me but I love snorkelling of the 'abyss', we had to compromise and snorkle the shallows when the tide was in and the abyss the rest of the time
I think I like the shallow. Ata - it was a real dive we were on, not the game! :)

We went to a brilliant beach that is over a volcanic vent, so the water bubble like champagne. it was GREAT

I ended up going out deeper than I planned, went round a corner of a reef and a diver popped out from under an arch and scared the WITS out of me. Think you could hear me squealing out my snorkel!
I'm so clumsy I worry about hurting the coral or myself in the shallows. I panicked the first day as we didn't check the tide timetable and Mr McG had to save me by cutting himself on the coral

dominica is sadly sort of beach bereft, but if you look you can find some. they have a couple of black sand ones, which is cool. They have loads of sea glass, so I was in heaven.

I'm generally a Maine person, so going South of Florida was a first for me
and st. john too... they have underground national park which was pretty cool
I only got to St John one day for a little hiking
the park is wonderful... what I saw of it
it's so easy to get back and forth between St. Thomas and St. John, that next time I go (if there is a next time) I might stay on St. John a few days
i haven't been there in years, but iI'm sure it's still beautiful.. i said underground...meant underWATER... marked snorkeling trails, etc

i must say i've snorkeled all over the caribbean, and the best snorkeling ever (for me) was off of maui

It was more expensive because we did go all inclusive (do we drink enough) and it is always way more expensive to go at the holiday time. 10 days in September would cost about £1500 each - as you can see we have checked :-)

Katie, I stayed at a "mom & pop" place right on the beach, VERY reasonable, run by a married couple. The man is Dutch (so WHITE his skins blinds you) and his wife is a native and she is very dark. They were so much fun and so nice, we had a few meals together
