went to a modern wedding tonight it was very nice..
what made it modern, west?
the bride's parents have both remarried and the bride and groom already have 3 children
was going to ask that myself
yes, was going to ask same question...
things aren't what they used to be
wow
that they are not
guess they wanted to make sure lol
sounds like it
bride did a nice thing though had the traditional dance with her father and later had a special dance with her step father
hello again
that is nice
nice; how old was the couple?
hi mlf
hi ML couldn't stay away?
she's 30 and he's 43
they've been together for 10 years
hi again mlf -- did you see my message to click on my icon for the theme? It's quite a fun one.

waiting for his divorce to come through
bye
nice that the parents are alive
yes but she lost her dear grandmother last year
good one mlf
that would make sense then...
Oh, I see you did! I'll check out the link.
anyway it was really nice
glad you enjoyed it
glad it was nice, west -- what a tangled web!
the funniest thing was the wedding cake had the groom being dragged away by his collar by the bride lol
that is great west
and the JP kept getting her name wrong
cute
we've known the groom since he was 2 I went to school with his father
ooooh doing the happy dance... found the da 7/36 all by my lonesome
so we go back a long way
wtg dee now find the 9 please
oooh found a second da 7
I felt that way about the ca7/32 dee
now finding the 9 on my own would be a miracle
cool cj
Hi West, I used to live in New England and remember the Big Blue Bug. I'm happy to hear that he's still around!
hi dig he's still here and my brother told me he wears an Uncle Sam hat on the 4th of July and Christmas Lights for the holidays
lol!
I never knew he had a name until I researched for the theme
dig, I love your car!
I didn't know he had a name either...so funny!
Thanks Jilli...would love to take a spin in that baby!
oh my gooodness.... found the di 8/45 and the di 9/60... go monkeys go!!!
knew you could do it dee !!
good for you de
dee*
that's is probably only the 4th or 5th time I have... yipppee
yay for dee *turns green with envy
think I've done it once...
I know that feeling jili... mrp buzzes in, finds out the huge ones right off... maybe someday we can do it often
I was smug that I found the ho9 in the last grid by myself
you should be jilli that one was impossible
and that was a tough one... had never heard that one before
I had actually remembered seeing it somewhere
ok about time, have 100 words & time for bed, gotta do hubbys birthday party tom. night.
happy birthday to hubby, cj!
night all have fun!
happy birthday cj's hubby
nite
ty very much!
almost-word -- diamond
tried it too jilli - hit a dead end!
ah 6 odd word
2 words that look like diamond... da 6/24 and da 7/36...
clue, dee?
da + contraction for I am + opp of off and its plural
I mean for the ah6
a + opp of her + abbreviation for South America
tyvm dee
yqw
yes indeed that ah6 is odd! I see it accounts for sacred cows.
hmm now that you say that... I may have seen that word here before
can someone please clue the second is5 please, it's is5/18
plural the 5 for is6.18
sorry I don't have that one yet
with a th in front it would be a prickly plant
my monkeys must have died last night
howdy ru
oh, thanks dc. I thought it was a 5, not a 6
is5.10 is like a pokey scottish flower

need a chuckle tonight... received bad news today about a friend who has been battling leukemia... she was told they have no other treatments available to help her... my heart hurts...
night all. too fried to think anymore. poofing with 23 left. Happy Babbling folks!
g'night pugs
oh dear, dee!
ah dee, so sad
good night pug very well done
night pug
I'm so sorry dee I hope her last days are comfortable
wow pugs, very good
her 59th birthday is tomorrow, which really makes it sad
dee, i'm very sorry to hear. may things go as easily as may be for her.
me, too, west.. ty all so much
lost my cousin the week before Christmas to breast cancer she was 55
she was one of my brother's first friends when he moved to Pittsburgh
wow west, so sorry
she was in hospice at the end and it was really a godsend
not a nice birthday present, dee :(
that's too young, west
I was going to send her a card,... but think it will be a thinking of you card instead... just cannot fathom what she must be feeling
I know jilli she fought it for 10 years
that is how this started west... breast cancer 6 years ago; that was "cured" then she got this leukemia caused by radiation treatment then; thot this was a "curable" leukemia, but the treatments this time just didn't get it under control; she has been fighting for the last year...
Maggie, my cousin lived her life to the fullest was always upbeat and made us all laugh all the time
aww what a wonderful lady
such wonderful memories for you west
she was dee I hope you'll have good memories of your friend too
might as well accentuate the positive...
my daughter is the one who reminded me tonight what a loss this will be to my brother...
we had time to say good-bye and that was good
unlike my best friend who died suddenly 5 years ago..I'm still not over that
good reminder west ... ty... ok... time to think happy thoughts
Spring might be on the way? lol
there have been hints of Spring at long last, even here :)
it sure was gorgeous here today
under all that snow seain?
I am addicted to sunshine
supposed to be 50 for the next few days
how much snow is left dc?
my father died 24 years ago, and i've lost myriad others before and since. One never fully gets over any of it. The memories come back, sometimes at awkward times, but more of the good than the bad in my experience. There is but to treasure the memories.
piles of 3- 20 feet in places mostly, odd bits here and there is all that's left of the snow.
on its way away dc!!
It was gorgeous today here too -- temp nearly 60F
funny story...
they're calling for 60F here tomorrow - i'm looking fwd to it
sounds heavenly jilli
and seain
we are supposed to have lunch tomorrow with our assoc pastor, his wife, their 5 year old son, and their 3 year old daughter...
hi volley jilli dcs west late flip
hi, dart
hey dart
we finally hit 40 F friday..first time since dec 1
a good friend who works with my hubby told him today as they were leaving work... "sleep well, the kids are 'energetic'"
hi da4!!!
oh boy !!
bet they're cute as buttons
pretty cat, dart
thinking "energetic" means naughty lol
LOL dee
will you be going to their house?
under average snowfall this year...but not much has melted till today...still between knee and waist deep most places
ty dcs
to a restaurant about 15 miles away
keep them away from the sugar packets then lol
so house will be "in tact" LOL
yes, I was going to suggest 'kid proofing' it
maybe they'll have good restaurant manners
funny how you forget those things... all I have had to worry about is "dog-proofing" so far
and nosy visitors proofing lol
as long as your medicine cabinet is in order lol
cannot believe how nosey ladies are... open up closets... grrr
In5wood is the official name of the area that Mount Vernon is located in. (how's that for an uber-obscure clue?)
hi dart -- you're in the grid again
i see that :)
and that's not exactly a subtle clue
looking don't have that yet
I didn't know that seain
I had a lady (visitor in my home) tell me that if the shower curtain was closed, she always looked behind it to see why!
ridiculous
in Virginia, it is illegal for any place other than the estate to use the name Mount Vernon
lol flosey I keep mine closed all the time
LOL flosey
me, too west
I have a shower glass, not a curtain
we keep ours closed because the curtain is prettier than the tile.
ditto
and it helps the curtain dry
and mildew-free
lol west, does indeed
going to google that in5 (I hoope)
in5.14 - plurals to in6.24
oh.. found the 9..
good job ruru
ty found it
is it normal?
the in5, yes - oft starts with a j
saigon and siam in grid
I have that one I meant the 9
a nice fireplace word
yes, it is
I need to hit the pillow.. tennis in the a.m.
bye for now
sleep well, ruru
lo 6 and lo 7 didn't realize they were one word... floating trees all bogged up
bye ruru hope you win
have a good game, ruru
yep, they're compound
we have tennis courts across the street and I've never even held a racket
nite ru... expecting you to win
nice lo6/7 clues, dee -- tyvm again
it's a game with a lot of love in it westie
i've not played tennis in decades
ah, thanks for the lo6 & 7 Dee
thanks for the lo's dee
yqw
that's true lol
well, except on the Wii :)
google didn't help with the in5 about Mt Vernon (:
and if you are good at it you can make a lot of raquet too...lol
LOL
ji---- bells ji---- bells.....knock off first letter
think of a recessed area next to a fireplace
doubted it would, it's obscure locale name that no one really uses
ty dart
in 5 and 6... use ending for a geometric right an 5 of 90 degrees
ty west too -- nice nookie word <chuckle>
lol
(nookie)!!!!
okay.. off I go.. bye! (poof)
thought that might get your attention, ruru ;)
dee, were those di8/9 words familiar?
yes; di + 1st vowel + word for I robbed and plural

brook did you ever try that aussie stuff? can't remember what it's called
and hi brookie
i think i may actually be readyish to sleep
everyone will know
vegemite? (ugh)
west...vegemite???
Hi jilli. West, I did try the tim tams... didn't like them, surprisingly
that's it lol
And I have an unopened jar of vegemite... scared to try it
ah, Baltimore, and we're still deciding on a date in middel May, a saturday, at Paper Moon Diner on W 29th St
I've heard it's an acquired taste
concentrated yeast extract? yuck.
*googling tim tams
i like Marmite - used some in cooking my dinner tonight
vegemite is yummo on hot buttered toast
sort of like solid beer?
What is Marmite?
Marmite is the predecessor to Vegemite - it's got a different flavor
our granddaughter spent a month in Aus. last summer loved the tim tams but not the vegemite
Jilli yummo chocklate biscuits
Next time my Aussie friend Skypes me, I'll have the vegemite in front of him.
we have tim-tams in the kitchen. Pepperidge Farm has been selling them here again of late. I really like the caramel ones, but Tom only buys the chocolate ones.
there's a way to eat timtams with tea I'm told
Trust me, diz, I'm probably the only one who doesn't like tim tams. Ah, and maybe tea was missing... that sounds much better, west!
she tells me you put one end in the tea and sip through the cookie
yep west, just bite the corner off each end and suck ya coffe thro
oh, that sounds divine, diz, i shall have to try that
Argh! Now I want more tim tams to try out that technique!
im not a coffee drinker brook...prob right there with you
Oooh, I see Safeway carries Tim Tams in western Canada -- must look next time I'm at a Safeway
Target sells them, at least around here, brookie
its yummo DC, cant stop at one
I found the Pepperidge Farm ones and got her some for Christmas
so does Safeway here.
No Target stores here
Thanks for the tip, dc. I'll check out Target.
double chocs are the best
Oh, and silly me. There's a Pepperidge Farm store near me!
I miss Safeway used to shop at an underground store in Crystal City
i know that store - near the people's , er CVS, in the Underground
I love the PF outlet store I come back with bags full for next to nothing
haha, west
that's right seain we lived a few blocks from there in Waterpark Towers
we had pink tim tams on sale for breast cancer awareness week....just the package was pink, still chocolate bikkies tho
friends of mine lived for years in Crystal Towers
that whole area was so nice
I'm sure it still is
i'm tired, and the cat wants to sleep too, so happy babbling, yall!
good night/morning, dc!
the only downside was our balcony faced Reagan
nite dc
it still is, indeed, west. {poof} thanks
Morning all. I like Tim Tams had them in New Zealand last year.
it was pretty noisy
night , dc, honeychile
Hi Rosa!
cats sleep? lol
hi rosalind
hi ros
Great grid today, huh?
brook when is your trip to Aus?
it is for awhile
Nothing planned...
the grid that is
Thanks for clarifying, west!
I shall put your name in the lottery winners list
after mine of course lol
The Aussie guy and I decided just to be friends, and I've decided to pursue a different relationship (which he knows about).
but you have a good friend and that's really important
But he's a very good friend, and I'm so glad he made the trip out here.
and so nice you can talk to him on skype
I love Skype!
one of the few japanese words I know is in the grid but doesn't count -- maru (ship)
I know koda (bear)
Ah, there are some polyglots in babble, aren't there?
I see some Russian fighters
should say Soviet
What's the first letter of the Russian fighters?
m
M
ok, thanks
oh my goodness, didn't think the Soviet fighters would count but they do!
I told you
well not exactly lol
25 to go, will do in the morning, goodnight everyone
good night, flosey!
fireworks
Yeah dart!
YAY dart!!!
night flosey
Yay Dart...still need 91
lol, 20 now, but off for sure, poof
that was a fast find, flosey!
hi and nbt
hi joshua, and congrats on the nbt
a little insomnia but time to go back to bed!
hi and bye, then, kaplan!
hi and wtg josh
hello kap -- you been lurking?
WHat are you all doing up at this hour?
insomnia
it's 12:36 here, kap -- not too bad
You Americans on the eastern seaboard- go to bed!
hi brookie, jilli, others
i'm always up at this hour. i'm nocturnal
I'm just going once through the list -- then bed
When do you finally go to sleep, joshua? what time do you wake up?
i usually get to sleep around 5-6am. i usually wake up 5-6 hours after that
Is that enough sleep for you? (Not for me, but everyone is different.)
it must be - i don't set an alarm
Take a pill. Hace another marathon day tomorrow- ath te Harvard addictions conference, ironically enough- ended to day with a raging headache. Two of us in the room had our wallets stolen. Can't trust those Harvard types
Seriously, Kaplan? omg
oh, bad, kap!
No, really- I thought I must have dropped mine but someone sitting in my same section was mysteriously missing hers too.
And so to bed.
jolt
jolts
g'night kaplan
charming!
Sorry. It was a jolt too
Off to the PB
I should think so -- full of credit cards, ID, money?
20 bucks, bank card, license and assorted junk. I was glad it wasn't my cell phone or appt book
o
I have recurrent dreams that I've left my purse (with wallet) some place and when I go back to get it, it's gone
Good luck to the thief anyway
I should say recurrent nightmares
Maybe your recurrent dreams postulated kaplan's event?
so you have my sympathy, kap
oh I hope not, brookie!
just joking... trying to add a smile to a not-so-pleasant event
didn't think you were serious
glad to know. :-)
there -- once through the list done -- 51 left for tomorrow, but a bridge game in the afternoon so may not have much time
and goodnight brookie and kap and west and diz and josh and whoever is lurking -- *poof*
I hope you got a look at my icon ;)
good morning everybody
am I alone?
lept
whoops - to thin air!
how many words are there?
195, hi sandra
thanx
just reached half, not very easy!
see you later
good luck
how words are there??
195 diann
195 easy to find words in a most user friendly grid
diann how many have you got???
Is anyone here?
As BabbleRabble said, this is a user friendly grid today ... but that is not to say that there aren't a few odd words here and there ... ah 6, da 6, 7, 6 to name a few.
It's not often that I get to talk to myself here.
Hi, Mudd ... so how's it going with you today? ... Fine thanks. ... What are your plans for the day? Well I'm going to take my grandchildren to Kids Day at Home Depot and then a children's reading at Barnes and Nobel ... that sounds like fun ... have a great day! ... Thank you, you too. How about you? How is your day shaping up? ... Nothing special.
190 wrds today
195, close enough
OK, this is ridiculous ... where is everybody?
I'm stuck on the no 7,8 and there is no one here to give me a clue. What a pity.
Oh duh, once I found it, it was easy, of course.
Hi Mudd.No7 and 8 are the same as nil.Hope this helps.
Sorry, it seems I was a little late with the clue.
Hi all, just arrived. Knock, knock. Who's there?
Hi Sally .It`s very quiet.
Just read back a little through the chog. Yes, isn't it!
Finished!
I finally put my nose back into the grid ... it was so lonesome ... and I finished.
It`s not my usual time.Surprised how quiet it is.
Well done Mudd. Just started here.
It is a fun grid, just a few challenges to keep you on your toes.
Whoopee for Mudd!.great stuff.
People out shopping perhaps?
clue for the 9 plz
I don't know. I couldn't sleep and got up too early. I'm going to make some coffee. Searching for the 9 for you.
That is one of the stinkers. It's a plural of the di 8. Starts with the first three letters of the kind of ring on a finger.
Then you add the past tense of a word meaning to rob.
ty mudd
I'm gone.
half way, rushin goff to go shopping now
good morning. is anyone home in chog? I have coffee and eggs...
digon
Oh wow, I am alone.
I'm here, I would love some breakfast.
Morning Gail, I was about to take a dip in the PB!
how is vermont?
Cold, but sunny.
sunny is nice. maybe melt some snow?
We are unseasonably cold here, but compared to you all, I will be quiet.
The snow here is gone. I was in Bennington yesterday for surgery and they had snow on the ground.
Oh my, how did you do with the surgery?
Great. I had my frozen shoulder fixed. I got there at 6 and was at Dunkin Donuts for breakfast at 8:30.
Wow that is great! from you modd today I assume you arent in terrible pain!
Oh, yes, the pain is really bad. I have PT this afternoon. I have meds to take.
oh sorry! hope the meds are working.
They are. And it was very painful before, but this is pain of healing, so I don't mind as much. They paralyzed the arm for 18 hours.
I had a hand surgery a while ago and they gave me a Nerve catheter, because I am allergic to most of those pain meds. It was nice, until the moment it totally wore off.
I know. It was the first time I had been pain free in six months and it was wonderful, except for the arm flapping around.
you do have to proitest it!
errr protect
I have a sling to use if I need it.
I hope it heals quickly.
Me, too. I'm still healing from foot surgery, so this has been a long six months.
Oh, gotta go take out dog. Nice to see you gail! Heal up well....too much surgery for you!
My dog is snoozing next to me.
mornin' babble buddies!!
rami
thanks, didn't have that one yet!
Good morning sugar - but I have that one!
Morning all....clue please for no7/8 combo please?
Not anything flask
thanx Sally!!
np - and if you take off the first two letters you have 2 more words.
thankyou.....!
:-)
brb
good morning babble friends! I seem to be having a french day in the grid - mais, sont, ples, etc
and names: Simon, HIngis, etc.! :-)
Adam
bon matin, une! yes, yesterday we had the bad german boy, so today's lot are more welcome! aida, simon, raisa,
omar
and an alternate spelling of sadam!
hi Babbilonions
i absolutely love my saturday morning babble - no alarm, no big rush....just me and my beloved grid, and beloved friends, slowly picking away at the words....
morning, bo!
hello bo!
babblenions?
Trifioso - hope things are going better for you now
are you basing us off minions, or babylonians?
Une - no tennis going on to get excited about?
bojazz, you are such a dear! I am fine today. NO police visiting today!
don
Indian Wells starts Monday!!
don't know for sure - hope it's taken in a good light
you had police??
go Roger!
Roger's out with respiratory problems, I believe
oops - can we maybe forget I said that? Yes, I had them, but they won't be coming today, god willing, so let's focus only on the joy of a leisurely saturday babble
but Rafa will be there with bells on!
go Rafa!
somehow i don't see Rafa in bells lol
une, forgive me for poaching on your territory, but that Rafa is one FINE looking man!
yes! Tri - sun is shining brightly here and temps should hit the 60's & leisure is the word for the day! :)
trif, have you seen his rock video with Shakira??
his what???
ohhh - jealous! I remember 60 degrees! why couldn't those damn pilgrims read a map!
ooooh, no! googling now.....
makes me weak in the knees!!
some of his opponents get weak in the knees, too
was just watching it again . . . oh my god
why do his arms look so skinny in that video?
and, may I say, those who criticize his "acting" are definitely not among the tens of thousands of his female fans! LOL
please, why would someone expect him to act? He is a tennis player, not a dramatic actor.
they are one hot couple
good morning everyone:)
hi crossy

bye Mom
bye bye Bo

How many words today?
185
195
oops sorry - 195
Thanks.
man, the g will not go down without a fight@
red bars again. anyone else getting this?
the Holy go6?
Are the g words making you gn5 your teeth?
go6 according to Matthew, Luke...
that was the one, grant! thanks to my fellow townie!
YW (glad that library nonsense got settled)
me too!
arrgh, my net connection is acting up something fierce today - sorry for the lag there....
If you don't need other clues, I outa here.
I have only a ac4 for the bottom left a - what am I missing, please?
pardon syntactic slump
There's an ah 6/24 which is evil
a+not her+ **y it isn't so
gads, that is evil! thanks you two
Take care. ( poof)
Ooh, just found a very high scoring lo 6/42 and plural for lo 7/60. Practically doubled my score :-)
wtg Sally and hello
Hallo sprite. Didn't see you there.
just arrived
like the chicken noodle soups yes sally(the brand)
and thanks for the clue, found them! Hi Joanne
good morning all
yvw
Chicken noodle soup? Must be a Canadian brand, Joanne.
i instead of e sally
lol I meant Sally's, I don't know that soup, alas.
ohh wrong one hehe
:D
You are confusing me, Joanne :-)
i was clueing le6/7
Not looking for clues atm, and have all the L words now.
don't have everything from anything yet, but am liking this grid very much so far.
Oh, THAT brand of soup!! I was a bit surprised that the lo 6 should be a brand of soup.
now i'm completely confused
Just ignore the soup and you'll be fine, lideola.
hi lideola, forget the soup and remember the high values and you'll be fine
lid le6/7 to have jumped and 1000 lbs
Don't know it as a soup, but I think it is or used to be a brand of tea in the UK.
yes that too
I do know the tea!
Hi Babblers ... can anyone clue the last sa6 please ;o)
aaah yes, ok. And yes, they make tea here, too.
I see the chog is full of food again.
hi Norma
Hi sprite
Haven't got all the S words yet Norma.
a little low on brilliant recipes though
Thanks Sally ... I have tried all the monkeys I can find lol
Hi everyone!
....my baby whispers in my ear.... oooo....
hiya red *hug*
Hi Red
I think so far, I am finding the grid to be a bit easier than yesterdays bear?
I just switched my icon to an "oops" one for humor. Is it actually viewable?
last sa6 plural of the jolly red elf but substitute an o for the last vowel
red, a flying lady?
Her panties are around her ankles....
I guess its too small....shes bowling.
oh wait now I see. She is errrrr losing her panties
They are? I didn't notice.
crossy pokes his head up...
santo
oops
thought that might bring crossy out of hiding
that would be the one joanne;)
Yes, it is discrete, but when viewed larger its sort of cute.
lol red, now I see.
crap sorry
don't worry Joanne
good job joanne, next I want one I am missing!!!!
75 to choose from!
np red
:)
then got flustered and spilled make up on floor dang
she is doin fine red..you jus keep typing joanne darlin hehe
aw :(
omg won't come out
I am announcing my new fish arrivals to my tank (not the unseen easy words)....they are still alive after one night!
oh good! What kind did you get?
sorry scrubbing
cherry barbs and some more danios.
covergirl
Good luck Joanne
the cherrys are so bright and turn out to like the algae I have int he tank, so they are just eating and eating...
ahh the laying on of the war paint;))
oh pretty!
im glad your new fish are settling in red
red fishes for red, that is fitting. Do you have Red Zebra Danios too?
I'm very relieved, alway hate fish that die.
the zebras are just striped.
my tnak went from 6 fish to 15. its pretty busy in there...
look how pretty! http://tinyurl.com/ybsl8wo
Golly I am such a geek. but I am excited!
we lost a koi in the pond
lost as in cannot find again or in died?
and carpet ok thank god
hello everybody, it's the new, no-more-whining ruby foo!
died
i think came up too soon
hi ruby
Hi ruby!
do you think a big bird got it?
darn Joanne, that s*cks. But glad you got the stuff out of the carpet.
Good Morning Fellow Babblers. How are you all today? And how is the grid?
did ruby kill him??
hi rubyfoo
hello sprite
lol, joanne
lol Joanne, that was my first thought as well :-)
hi Nef, having fun so far
sprite, I am sorry cant get that link to work.
I've decided to be cheerful and not lean on everybody
Hi Nef!
ruby Bigbird?
red, will try another one, hold on
I have to go, though, back in a little. BTW, I burned the whole dinner last night!!! lol
I got it OK, sprite.
hi ruby.
hi sprite, red, ruby and Sally
hi red, see you later
oh, ruby, no! Was that because you were upset, or did the toadstools burn?
red, how about this one? http://tinyurl.com/ylnv3ew
bye for now rubyfoo
lol ruby
nice one
red, a few years ago we "inherited" my son's 10 gallon fish tank and he has a pleo(?) that is now over a foot long
Oooh those are pretty. mine are yellowy.
the pleco...they grow really big nef.
pleco maybe?
mine sprite that is are yellowy.
oh pretty as well, red!
they are sort of non descript. but I enjoy the movement- they swim like small jet boats.
we also have 1 minnow left from ice fishing 3 years ago; there's nothing else alive in the tank. What can we do to get rid of the pleco?
donate to a zoo?
take it to the pet shop. or freeze it, or offer it on craigs list.
Or you can give it a very peaceful death (freezing isnt that nice) with an OD of cloveoil.
craigs list! Good idea. I'm tired of the dang thing. We had 5 minnows from that ice fishing trip; they have all died over Dec. and Jan, so I'm waiting for this one to go. Then the fish tank will go too.
You can offer the whole tank on craigs list. or on freecycle if you have that too...
I got my tank via freecycle.
Oh my! I'm not into killing the dang thing since it "seems" healthy; but I'll give it away. I suppose we have to wait for warmer weather though, right?
nah, you can give it away now.
somebody is bound to be very happy with your pleco, nef
I think my days working in an emergency vet clinic sort of jaded me to animals. though I love mine...and rush to count all of them a few times a day...
Except the dog, I dont need to count him.
sounds very very jaded to me, red... ;)
Well, people used to bring us these squirrels they ran over by accident....and with a crushed spine, and such...
We had to euthanize them.... they are not endangered and really can not function at all because so much damage was done....
I hope so, sprite. I don't think I want to get rid of the tank; but I'll clean it out and put it away. The neighbor kids really enjoyed coming and seeing the fish and I think my grandson will enjoy it too when he's old enough. His dad can have his tank back and have it at his own house then.
I hope you put them out of their misery?
those people would always call back wanting to know how the squirrel recovered...
sounds good, Nef
oh dear, red, how errrr optimistical
Or Nef you could make a terrarium, just plants! I want a terrerium.
It made me feel terrible....and we told half truths about how the animal was no longer in pain...
did they use them to feed some of the other critters, red?
pleicostomus - sold as tank cleaner. harmless. Probably too bony to eat. sell it. morning everyone
hi babblers
the squirrels. no, I think they got disposed of in the normal way to dispose of animals.
ive always wanted to do one of those tropical plant collections that are done inside of those big glass wine carboys
me too cross, I have never had great success with them though.
I love animals very much, but I am glad there is a way out for them when they are too much hurt to survive or in too much pain.
hi robbie.
Me as well sprite, it seems wrong to let an animal suffer, especially when it can not always communicate well with us.
but then you always find a better content for those big glass wine carboys, crossy?
Oooh crossy! That would be a great idea to use the one in my basement for! I hadn't thought of that!
not too sure of the spelling after 30 yrs
hello everyone
and on the topic of wild animals broght into vets up here, first thing they will say to you is'feel like paing for the x-rays and the shots/"
hi hootow, hi TOwl :) The Owls fly in!
Hi Hoot and TO and cross.
ive seen some nice ones nef but like red ive had limited sucess
red..I rehabilitated many squirrels my husband brings them home. my favorite was Squeaks. she lived in our tree in my back yard, and would sit on my hand to eat pecans
hi hoot, crossy, robbie and TO
Squirrels that have a simple broken leg or such we did send to animal rescue.
hi nef
Squirrels that had an entirely mangled lower body...we didnt.
howdy nef
i have a squirrel that chewed the hole bigger in the bird house and suns it's self there in the summer
just walking into a vet up here you know your at 400 dollars;(
these were baby squirrels that fell out of their nest. I had to feed them every 4 hours or they would reaklly squeak loudly!
it is great if they can be rescued. Otherwise, it is great they don't have to suffer needlessly.
I am lucky to have found a fairly inexpensive vet, except for that comfortis.
and has babies in there
lol crossy
ok - you are making me remember. Terrarriums are hard because you tend to over-water them, put in plants that grow too, too big and seal the tank
we took out an insurance on our dog's veterean bills.
Joanne you have a squirrel feeder now!
that fall out and we made a dish to give them back to her
LOL, Joanne! In this neck of the woods, that would be a red squirrrel. They are very destructive, but the grey squirrels don't do that
thats one thing i should think of sprite..pet insurance cause we still have 2 kittys
we dont havea lot of squirrels here, lots of lizards...
good morning all
bell jars are the worst - make beer. Tanks - stick to small stuff, don't water every day and keep cover open at least 2-3 ".
crossy, I figure it won't pay out every year, but in the end it will save us some huge bills and a lot of worries.
morning Mr Bob
i used to catch anoles when I was a kid
hi mr Bob
and hi robbie
hi sprite
hi mr bob
crossy how did the tax thing go??
whats does pet insurance run you for a year sprite?
if fog forms on walls - remove cover and let it dry out!
went well joanne had a bit of brass left to apease the credit card gods;)
lol good
about 200, 250 euro a year
still milking the tooth lol
good crossy, lol
so 300 cad
big baby i am
hoot, we have a big wine jug that we were unsuccessful making wine in it. It sits in the basement and I've wanted to do something with it but haven't coe up with a good plan for it yet
good advice, hootowl, am taking note here
then try the bottled garden
beer - very easy - wine is hard and you'll need more than one jar for decanting
I prefer beer anyway, grin. But am not to drink any alcohol anymore, due to the medication. Too bad.
your better off anyways sprite
nah crossy, I think a few beers a week would be healthier than the pills I must take!
lol sprite
we had one bottle of wine that we were letting age; DH had a balloon over it for the gasses to expand and the balloon burst! NOT good!
ok - I wondered if anyone paid attention. Years at greenhouses and pet shops pay off. sorry BF interrupted
Must be off. Bye for now all.
bye Sally
bye sally
we did, hootowl! Good information.
Anyone need clues?
I don't know how big this jug is downstairs; I think it's at least 10 gallons for sure
Nef if it exploded it hadn't finished
unless you were trying for a sparkling wine. Aging occurs in sealed bottles
that makes sense, hoot. But it was really a mess and smelled like a bar for the longest time
yw - now back to the grid
I'll bet! :)
I once had a cheap bottle of local wine from French, from a 'cave' we visited. Didn't drink alcohol back then, took it with me every time I moved though. Opened it 17 years later and shared it with a very good friend... it was amazing. Never ever tasted anything as good as that before or again. Pure luck, of course. But I wish I had bought a cellar full of the stuff :)
oh dear nef :-(
I think that is why they usually put corks on bottles with aging wine, Nef ;)
If you won't more info just e-mail me and I'll help all I can. Just put babble in subject line so I don't delete it.
want!!!
We have a grape vine that's growing on our chain link fence. We won first prize at the state fair this year for those grapes. It makes good graqpe juice and jelly, but it's a green grape so it's kind of an odd color for jelly
that is great, hoot... are you as knowledgeable about fish too?
ooops *looked at clock* I'd better get going I'll be back later all
bye robbie
used to be a pet shop manager loooong ago. Moving end of month and maybe, finally have room to put my tank up!
Nef, perhaps you could add some strawberries or cherries or something just for the colour? Though I wouldn't mind if the taste was so great.
will send you an email after a bit hoot
obviosly the judges didn't mind the color
oh I really hope you will, hootowl. Must be fun to enjoy your knowledge in your own home
ok
hootowl: my daughter really wants an aquarium with tropical fish, so I will email you when it becomes time to plan the whole thing!
hard to maintain sprite good luck
It's very relaxing to come home and chill w/drink and fishies. But danios are really frenetic so maybe not so much. Angels
ok - I'll be looking for it
hoot, we entered the grapes at the fair, eidelweiss is the variety. They are great eating; and make wonderful juice; but I still have about 14 gallons in my freezer to process. (Maybe I shouldn't play so much Babble and make some juice and jelly!)
we had snakeheads one time and power went out and freaked them out and one got out
NOT if properly set up in the beginning. And NO over-feeding
thank god for flash light as the foot long sucker was coming straight for me foot
wonderful. My daughter is very good at being consistent in handling things, so that should help.
snakeheads! What the heck are they?
fish that looks like a snake
tough too
ewww. I don't think that would be something I'd choose
not sure of their proper name
they sound interesting but I think I would prefer them to stay inside their tank
wasn't my choice believe me
they were in the tank with oscars
and piranahas
Yuk! All predator fish!
Joanne, that definitely doesn't sound like my idea of a fish tank for in the home'
That would be very hard to maintain!
ohh that was hubby
55 gal tank I assume?
i did nothing
is he still hubby
it was huge hoot
I'd get rid of hubby too! ;-)
yes hoot lol how he has koi outside
now sorry
brb
I'll bet. A tank full of nasties all waiting for the other one to turn it's back!
koi are ok. At least when they get too big you can eat them
one koi is about a foot and half now
ewww
do you know how much they can go for
this just proves that we all have different levels of tolerance, doesn't it? :-) I can't imagine having those fish in my home!
no ewww - they are just fancy carp. Probably what you get at fast food joints
ewwww
they were expensive back then - probably out of sight now
we bought some of ours for like 40 dollars as small ones and the bigger ones are in the hundreds
Just back from constructing a lasagne.
this was last year
THe danios really are relaxing as they are the ones swimming, not me!
ok - I really have to find some words AND get to store before BF heads to work. send e-mails
up here we consider carp, whitefish and cat fish "garbage fish" and do our best to keep them out of trout and salmon areas
i have to finish hair bb after byeee
and ditto crossy
how do you nail the pasta red?
no nails. Not all consturction includes nails.
Mine is held together with baby bella mushrooms. and some ricotta.
hows dylan coming along?
Mmmm. Sounds good, red.
back. Bye hootowl and Joanna
I hope so, I am very hungry
he's doing well.. our first obedience lesson was a blast
hi princess!
woot ruru
Goldens are so fun with obedience. even teulu.....for all his frenetic activity.
ok so if you can have misgotten wealth, why can you not have misgot.
so true, red. Same as polygl4 and di, but not simply gl4.
yes....
is dylan healthy and well and naughty enough?
and thanks for the di words!!!
:) yvw!
hi all
hi Boobear
hi Boo
howdy boo

hi all
hi jmc and boo.
hi jmc
hi jmc. How are you today?
my icon is the new wall paper in the pb but I will have to change icon for the amazing vehicle theme
brb
grocery shopping done & return to frsutration - hi all
looks good, the wallpaper, jmc
hi bojazz, friendly grid today, don't worry
hi ruru. Didn't see you come in. (i must have been in the grid at that time)
much nicer than yesterday monster
hi bo
hi nef
Hello everyone!
hi red
ruru: da7 plural of creepy monsters, alt spelling
red- is your icon from that classic American artist - name escapes me - who had fame with Satruady Evening Post?
that's the first one sprite.
I need the next
sorry, thought you asked for both
maybe, I dont know!!
it's pon the tip of my tougue!!
it was jsut for a funny, but its hard to see...
the 2nd one is one of the many spellings of the french word for a young lady
thanks anyway
oh you mean norman rockwell.
yes! thanx
i have noidea though if he did this one, grabbed it off the net.
okay I am back with my amazing vehicle *grin*
a company in Baffalo was cleaning there attic and had 20 original paintings and they were headed for the trash when someone realized what they had - the collection was valued at close to a million
*their
jmc in a fast red car!
red!
YEAH.. thanks sprite .. I found it
did you see the clue, ruru?
lol it's my ticket-me-red saab!
yay... you said it when I hit enter, lol. Good!
why is plog not a word?
what would you like it to mean, Nef?
move slowly along: I plog along at this grid! :-D
that is so not norman rockwell red! he would never do anything that racy
lol that would work for me!
a plog sounds like a mixed dog breed.. a pug and something else
thank you monkeys for my last J word... new one for me
a pug dog? A ploginese?
what would the something else be ruru? I've been trying to think of something that would fit and can't
hello, spritey!
hi TOwl :) How are you doing?
I really love your vehicle, btw!
i'm fine,and you?
not great, inner ear infection, I look like a toad and it hurts like hell. But meds are working now.
it inspired the theme!
it is wonderful. Would love to ride in one.
*take a ride in one
phone
Hi all......any chance of a clue please for the ra4/4 with the 5/10 following??
hi Flask, female foreign ruler
hi Flask. Sorry, I don't have it yet
Morning all
ra + two vowells + plural
included some history and a link to a video
a babblet
sorry, I see it means A Christian subject under an Ottoman ruler. Babblet, only vowels to add.
I am down to 12 words, and am stuck! I have tried morewords.com, and lickety word lists ... any other suggestions of help out there?
hi mongie
pretty flowers, mongie
thanks, sprite :)
thanx for that!
hi mongie
mongie, if you want you can ask for clues for words on lickety's list you cannot find.
hi nef
yvw Flask
sprite .. I will check the list and get back to you all. Thanks. :)
if that's not Rockwell, somebody is pretty damn good at imitation, jmc - red saab & all!
yw mongie and good luck.
sorry back
wb jmc
hi bo and mongie
fireflies for me. Any clues needed?
whoo hooo sprite!
ho TO
mongie, what I often do is manage to read right over the word s I can't find if using More Words or other lists
yay sprite
Ok ... da7 ... I have one, not the other.
YAY, sprte! WTG!!!
ah 6 please
well done Sprite!
it looks more like Vargas to me -- he did Playboy paintings
da7, the one that is not a plural, is a spelling of the french word for young lady.
I agree with jmc. It must be Vargas, red
what does it mean what i can recite by memory all the upcoming scenes from every Warner bros cartoon made from 1955 to 1985,but cannot remember where i put my damn glasses??? lol
don't think Rockwell was above that sort of painting - in his day that would have been innocent
ah6: a + not her + for Pete's **ke.
and thanks all :)
red never said it was Rockwell - i asked if she knew - she does not know for sure
thank you sprite.
crossy... that you have your priorities right? For glasses, check your no4 and top of your head first.
crossy, that's called short term memory loss
mongie, did that help or do you want me to give another clue? It is an unusual word.
di6/24 please?
ah ha! little buggers were sitting on my book!
is that a vacuum, sprite?
i was just passing on my opinion
di + to throw the dice
lolllll kje! A futuristic vehicle, if you please!
it means that you like so many have good long term memory but your short term memory susks
understood - but red was getting all the flack :)
looks like a futuristic floor steamer
sprite ... I still can't figure it out ... would you be so kind as another clue, please?
lol
sorry red if you are getting flack!
me, too - don't like to cause conflict
di + what you put on a broken arrm
ty kje i kept looking for roll and toss!
I hadn't meant to pass flack to red.
hello everybody
hi ruby

now lets all get in a circle holding hands and sing Kumbaya
throw your tomatoes at mw, please!
hi ruby
*me
good one jmc
why?
I'm sorry I was such a needy mess yesterday, but your thoughtful comments were very helpful and gave me clarity.

wow that is some insect you got there, smooth
er - what is the count i am still looking for that damnmoose
you shouldn't be - not at all
jmc! you're here... did you want to hear my thoughts on the movie last night?
yeah, it's about to go away sprite... just looking for a good futuristic vehicle
LOL, people ... I am beginning to feel like a real dunce! No, I have not gotten it!
other word for moose, TOwl, or joint in your arm **bow
it is a three letter animal that is similar to a moose and there are **k lodges
smooth - tell me that's not a real beetle??
for the da7, go up towards the right corner of the grid (I kept going the wrong way)
but neet word stats
yes yes yes tell me about Alice!
smooth I'm glad you are here, I took my camera in today when I got some UV lenses, it is a preview feature on my camera rather than anything wrong with the photos I've been taking. Thank you for your advice the other day
mongie, it is an unusual word and I am finding it hard to clue. da + protruding thing in your face but change first letter, and then add a consonant.
yes bojazz... it's a "titan" beetle. They hail from South America, and can grow up to round 7" long
da7/36, TOwl
your welcome katie!
ty, like a da7 in distress
whoa! that's a big dude
with an extra letter
exactly, TOwl!
hi Katie
and Alice. . . . .?
now that is a great clue, TOwl.
and jmc... the movie was pretty awesome! It was really a mix of Alice, through the looking glass, and the Jabberwock. So strictly speaking, it wasn't the story of the book... but it built a whole scenario around three of his works.
nothing like that around here, *shudders*
Hi Nef and everyone. going to go for a quick walk to take some photos will be back soon x
and the graphics... oh man! what a piece of eye-candy! It was very hard to tell what was real and what wasn't... it was so well done all the way around.
being ambitious did not pay today...i washed bed linens and now realize i ould have waited and hung them out tomorrow.
that girl is absolutely fearless

oooohhhhh! God I love that! Sounds like Marten Toonder but in English.
Finally!!!! Thank you sprite and nef! I just kept having a typo when entering the word! Thought I was typing it correctly, and couldn't figure out why the word wasn't working!
gyre is in here often, non?
wrestling with the small ones, Flask? :) Not fat.
I have to say, this has given me quite an occasion to laugh at myself! lol
sadi

see ya, TO
I have a big red post that shows up in chat .. says "word couldn't be added. Please try again in a minute". What is that all about? Is that for me?
sometimes the internet "hiccups"; sometimes it's Bable, but this time I don't have that message, so it may be your connection. Just try again when that happens if no one else has that message
a clue please for si6/24 please?
usually that's just a moment of slow connection. if you try whatever word one more time, it usually clears up in a second or two. At least the once or twice that's happened to me, that's how it was
i believe that is your internet and not babble. when it happened to me the other day it was when my spyware was running
thanks, nef ... it was for me .... didn't realize one of the words I had typed had not registered. Thanks.
hello all. not here really, just checking out the homework potential of the grid. ((hugs))
hi stid. :)
smooth ... it took me a minute to figure out what word I was missing! I had an epiphany at the time, and was typing like a mad woman! lol
how was last night's movie, smooth?
lol
hi stid. It's a nice grid for the most part
I like nice...
it's was great stid! I'm a real sucker for eye-candy... if something is visually capturing, I usually like it... and last night's movie was simply stunning! But it wasn't all just a visual treat. Of course the acting was spot on, and just really fun overall
Flask, I'm still searching for that si 6/24. Sorry I don't have it yet
I thought the cheshire cat was really captivating... for a small role, that character is certianly fun!
Ok Nef, thanx anyway!
excellent, smooth! glad it was a nice night out. I know the younger stidkid would like to see the movie. appropriate for high school age?
oh yeah, There were adults there who enjoyed it, and I noticed children as young as probably 6 or 7 there also
so smooth did you see the lovely bones? hated the movie, loved the visuals
great. That might be a good activity this evening.
hey TO!
No I didn't TO... I don't think I even recall the name, either.
anyone have a clue for no7 and no8, please?
Did you read the book TO?
no
oops ... sorry ... thought that question was for me! lol
sorry mongie,I don't have those.. TO, I take that back, I did hear about that movie, but never did go see it
Mongie.....Not any at all....and plural!
well, up to 45. heading out to read 200 pages +... and write... and take a test and... *sigh* at least it's a take-home, open-book test. *double sigh*
see you-all soon. *poof*
bye stid
Thanks, Flask! Can't believe I didn't see that one!!! :)
thanks flask! I don't know why I didn't see those before!!!
grid blindness?
Don't worry Mongie, I had to ask for it!!
no book, not my type of book
am still looking for Si6 and Si5...

Si6 is an ice house with an s on the beginning ... not sure if that will help
crossy is not seeing this ra 6
Thank you all!!! Couldn't have done it without your help
ra rhymes with part of the face that you smell with
ty shirlock
well done Mongie!

Welcome, nef ... still trying to think of a way to clue si5 ... :(

I have been trying to think of a good clue for sa6, but am having a time of it
Welcome jessa
Ok, I've looked at Lickety, but it shows a puzzle from yesterday. What am I doing wrong? Sheesh, if I can't even figure out how to get hints, how am I ever going to solve the puzzle, LOL?
go back to lickety & refresh
refresh, Jessa
Crosshair .. one letter differenc from sa6,18 .. last letter ... then plural for sa7
tyvm mongie:))
Quite welcome!
I must go ... I will be back later! Thanks again, all!
okay, well, duh...I finally got it, lol! Thank you and thanks for the welcomes! I promise I'm not always this dense...

Hola, amigos!
lol
howdy judi
hi judi
gah! I want the word "madison" so bad...
hi everyone
Back from my walk with loads of pictures of ducks and swans, should be one on my icon
Smooth_pappa, how was the movie?
Hi Katie
Hi Mom
Well, it's time for me to get moving today. I'll be back later, Bye now!
hey mom... it was really fun! great acting, great visusals... I mean, I'm a huge Johnny depp fan, especially when he teams up with tim burton. and not only him, but all fo the actors were really spot on. and the visuals... man! what a treat!
see ya nef
bye bye Nef, enjoy the day
so glad you liked it Smooth_pappa. Nothing worse than shellling out $10 for an awful movie
UHG! Belated apology for using a grid word. Wasn't even looking.
no kidding! yeah, it was really a good one. I enjoyed it all.
Hi Judi. You did? What was it?
Well I'm not gonna blab it again, Mom!
LOL!
ah geez
hmmm, since I am just getting here I will have to go back and look
well, I managed to monkey my way to 117 words! now time for lickety.
Surpised all you referees missed my infraction.
*surprised* even
darn, I had that one already
finished with lunch, guess I will get off of here. {{hugs}} to all of you
I finished all the words starting with vowels. I can say I accomplished something today.
well, I must be of for now. I'll have to come back for the last 50.
have a nice day everyone!
See ya, pappa!
I just hit 50 too. I'm scooting off to do laundry. BBL!
hi again, back from dinner and trying to get a few more word, 76 to go! I'll be lucky to get 5 more....
So, is it cheating to guess at words?? LOL
I think they call it monkeying lol
yesterday was my first attempt at this game. Today I've got 84 words left to go and I'm not finding a whole lot. Do people usually finish the whole grid?
I've been playing since December and have never finished. Many of the people finish by using lists and if you don't finish, your ranking goes down. My feeling is that I like messing with the grid, finding clues in the chat and then going to sleep!
Also, the chat is wonderful! Really nice people and very smart!
I'm an old scrabbler and this game is harder
I play boggle on line a lot, but that's a quick 3 minute game and on to the next, so not quite as frustrating as sitting here staring at this grid... lol
I am a bit like that Ruby I rarely finish and when I get bored I do something else. I realise that is a bit of heresy to real babblers but No point in getting myself so frustrated I put a foot through my monitor!!!
when there are a lot of people on, it is fine to ask for clues which they give willingly
there are quite a few of us boggle players here. This seems more calming than frustrating like boggle
absolutely, deeha! Were you on last evening when I i9mploded? If yes, pls forgive me. I've changed my whole attitude since yesterday
58 left to go and time for me to leave for now - bye all and enjoy
I've never played boggle. Should I add it to my list of word-game addictions?
I have learnt an awful ot of new words that I will probably never use!!
bye mom
it is certainly addictive - anyway - bye all
me, too, but they help in future games. The strangest ones are the welsh words starting with cw...
bye mom have a good evening
I've learned how to *spell* a whole lot of new words, but have absolutely no idea what most of them mean...LOL
Can't be bothered to look them up, and when I do, I promptly forget their meaning
Hi Ruby - I need to apologise. Hqaving cmp problems and now getting ready to move! The pic was great but too small to use as icon. Did you do it? I coulfn't quite read the name
I can offer a couplel of clues
yes, it was an old drawing of mine from the 70's; I just wanted you to see it
where are you moving?
I don't even bother getting the meanings on most of them!
beautiful work. I never was a very good artist :(
when I was a teacher, I was doing owl drawings for extra money
thank you
also mushrooms and dragons. I sold all of them except the one owl you saw
It's only about 1/2 mile but bigger and healthier. This place is going to kill someone someday. Landlord won't replace stove that has no insulation and bad heat controls. AC/heat sys needs cleaning and we are both hacking, wheezing and sneezing. And rainwater floods the back yard thru the carport. Minor stuff.
I used to give really scary dragons as baby gifts!
baby gifts??? don't you like babies? :D
that sounds awful, but moving into a bigger place is always a pleasure; with the reverse, you need a shoehorn
My granddaughter has got a thing about dragons where it came from I do not know so I have to say things like Dragons? They are SO funny they make me laugh!!!
they weren't really scary....
I did them in pen and ink with colored ink for the flames!
yeah but landlords around here are worse than qhat I had in NY. At least there I had working stove & fridge all the time.
that's awful, hoot
Hi Deeha I haven't seen you in a while. Have I been missing you?
I think that since I drew dragons in the 70's, they've become more mainstream and kids aren't afraid of them any more
Or they want us to buy. BF owns a house in Oregon and I am on SS. No chance. We can't wait until he retires to get out of here!
Must just have missed each other. I do share your love of owls. The first ink drawing I ever did when I thought 'I think I can do this' was of an owl
Sine role=playing games started I have to agree wih you. Plus all the dragon books in sci-fi.
I have always lived in what I think you call high rise 'social housing' luckily 10 years ago I got a transfer ro a lovely bungalow in the best town in England!!
hoot!!! *stealth-lurker hugs* *retreats to homework mode*
that's funny about owls. My sister loves them, as well. Have either of you read the book about Wesley, the barn owl?
hello lurking stidmama
It's amazing. The BF has one at work and others have told me they have them in the backyard but I have only seen real ones in zoos or once at an SCA event when we had a falconer flying one.
No dont know that one Ruby
HI STID! we keep missing each other!
hugs back
nope
It is sappy, sort of, but fun to read. The only owl I've seen up close was in Binghamton NY, where a little eared owl (I don't remember what kind) was being harrassed by blue jays and we rescued it and took it to an ornitholgist at the university
Worst thing was leaving NY and leaving a lot behind. BF is trying to make up for it by buying most of what he see's in catalogs!
I mostly draw tigers now I like my animals to be a bit red in tooth and claw!!
it was very cute and played dead for the first half hour in the carton, then started looking around
I hardly ever draw any more, eyes aren't what they were
good work - maybe he was unconsious
me too. Need to see eye doctor
I grew up in NY but since 9/11, although I'[ve been back to see my sister in Queens, I can't bring myself to go to Manhattan
no, he was being smart!
How sad Ruby I havent done a lot lately my crafts have taken over. I have a queue of 'thing to do' I dread getting arthritis in my hands
I was working in Ronkonkoma and I could see the smoke from the parking lot.
getting old is no joke!!!!
nope
I am trying to have a positive attitude :))
you could see it from Ronkonkoma???? OMG
Deeha I have a room full of "things to do" that has to be packed! The extra space will allow me to lay it all out (again!) and finally do something with all of it!
at least you are doing something creative, Deeha, my ideas stay firmly in my head
You are right. I have been planninga parachute jump this year to celebrate my 70th but so many people keep saying dont so it I am beginning to have second thoughts
for a while, my husband kept buying me things to encourage my "projects", but I wound up being overwhelmed and just play games now
Deeha, you are amazing! Somebody would have to put a gun to my head AND push me out of the plane!
my husband hated me 'fiddling' but when he got the backlash of what I am like when I am not engrossed in something he changed his mind!!
Oh don't listen to them! There was a thing on TV about one woman in her 80's doing it. It's not done solo. You are strapped to the instructor. She looked so happy! Maybe you can find it on Google
where I live, people parasail off the cliffs, sometimes landing in the field across the road
That may be what appeals to me!QMy last chance of being strapped to a young man!!!!
for a year I took piano lessons (another "project") from a parasailing instructor who offered to take me up NOT!
hahahahahahaha
raofl
I think the parasailing might prove hard on the legs when landing.
they look so graceful
sometimes there are dozens up in the cliffs above us
flying in any form is graceful usually. I was amazed my first time up in a cub. Felt like I could walk faster.
I bet they look beautiful on a nice sunny day
true
cub?
you should get pictures. It could be a icon theme one day
aah, PIPER cub duh
if I could change my icon lol
Piper CUB. small 2 passenger plane
the smallest planes I've been in were seaplanes which I loved, but now I'm afraid of flying (also a 9/11 thing)
You know this is why you don't finish. We are yakking instead. I still have 119 left and I'm usually done by now!
but this is better, smart ladies and real conversation!
Well my flight was a loooooong time before that. Probably 60's if not earlier
hoot our airport offers bi-plane tour flights;) talk about getting out and walking faster, but fun as heck!!
yeaj - pity we aren't closer together so we could visit
90 dollars for half hour flight seeing tour
15 years ago I had a heart attack and to celebrate my recovery what did my husband and daughter uy me?? A flight in a hot air balloon - where they trying to tell me something?!!
hi crossy - there's one of them in upstate NY to. We visited but my then husband declined doing anything I might enjoy.
hi crossy
howdy ruby
nothing like an open cockpit
sometimes I see those over "our" lake, so beautiful
sounds like my husband OMG did I marry your ex?
Oh Deeha - maybe they were just trying to tell you it was all ok with you.
I think I am ready for a break, a glass of wine and some supper. Bye folks, lovely talking to you. By the way I have some of my pictures on my profile
tc deeha
see you tomorrow, deeha, very nice chatting with you
I doubt it. He wouldn't go to France. It would cost money
hahahah
ok bye Deeha. Nice to see you again and good chatting.
BF goes to work at 12 tomorrow. Be on then til 5
OMG - Deeha are you sure you aren't me??? I do all that too. Jeopardy and cash cab mostly
I think I've hit the wall with this grid -- 122 words and to all a good night. See you tomorrow. When are you moving hootowl?
Will start in the 26th. Have to be completely out by the 31st.
is it close enough that you don't have to do a careful, dish by dish, pack?
Ruby it pays to take a break and then try again later. I've often finished that way.
Probably but since movers will be involved I'm not sure I should trust them.
I do that already, start in the morning, play again before dinner and the, like now, after dinner. I am hopeless, but still having fun
bye
Will figure it out as we go along. Worst is that BF hurt his back when we moved in here and is not supposed to be lifting heavy stuff
bye
well, don't hurt your back!
yes mam
jogs
good morning/afternoon/evening, everyone :)

NBT Oooh shall I declare my undying admiration and servitude now, or wait unit you need a mouse or something?
hi Stid
go tf go!
hi stid
*tosses bacon bits to cross*
Better n yesterday stid. Hey crossy didn't see you here.
im popping in and out for a bit tfgrrl
were you ill, tf? *worried mama look*
okay, need one more tile for NBT. the i please?
*carefully intercepts several bacony bits mid-air*
oooh. found one! NBT
stid check back - just did gor the grrrl
thanks hoot!
did it for
got them BOTH.
ok
Yum, not ill, just a very bad day at school. Hoot had an excellent clue for I.
Do you always read so far ahead stid. I'd forget half before I got to wed
oh gee. (((tf))) sorry about that, I worry about the "bad day at school" stuff when I become a teacher...
What book r you reading?
I generally do, hoot -- because of the structure of the week, I don't have reading time between Tues and Fri, so have to do all my work before Tuesday begins. It's hard, but I take notes and "wing it" a lot.
well good luck
It's by M.J. Kehily, "Sexuality, Gender and Schooling" *sigh* very dense reading, lots of references to authors I don't know and their presumably stellar work.
sounds dull as dirt
I keep hoping it will "pick up" but so far it's a tough sl4
Has it occurred to anyone that girls learn faster than boys and testing constantly is counter=productive?
Stid, to be honest what happen on Fri. Is crazy and rare, but is has shaken me up. A fellow teacher who I was just getting to know this year was arrested at school for physically assualting a student on campus.
oh no tf! that is just terrible. I suspect the students were pretty riled up too?
gee grrl - around here it's usually the other way around. That can be very traumatic though
*raising hand* me me! Esp. The testing part. Stid the book sounds like the crap I used to have to read to myself out loud in college or I'd fall asleep.
well... gee. At least I am not alone. I probably wouldn't mind the book if it weren't the very last book at the end of what has been a very long quarter.
I don't think many people knew about it. It happened during a class outside. I guess he just snapped. I didn't even kn ow until end of day.
stid - they are teaching you how to teach out of books?
no hoot -- we have a lot of very practical instruction time as well; but to understand WHY you do (or don't) something it's useful to at least have looked at the more theoretical stuff.
Actually, this Master's program is more in-class intensive than most!
Oh and then another teacher in my hall collapsed last period and was taken away in an ambulance. Friday sucked. I have to find an outlet to plug in. BBS
not fair, tf.
ok - but remember all those writers have an axe to grund
And books to sell
that is def a sucky day grrl - bowking or darts may help
I'd swear they get paid by the lb.
true, hoot. I know they do. This is one of the few books this quarter that I am not marking up. This one I will sell back...
I am getting tired and my brain is screwing up my typing - sorry
Bowking?
Oh bowling!
okay, I have hit 100 words. I am going to go get my day started (almost 1 pm here).
that good huh? I'd put a warning in it for the next person then
(((tf))) hope today continues to be a good one. Hoot, so good to see you, tired or otherwise (((hugs))) I miss you.
you got it! sorry grrl
*wanders off, looking for spare pieces of choclit on the way* *Poof*
I miss everyone. Who said things slowed down when you retired? I wat to hit him
I thought it was a new kinda martial art orf something. I could really go for kicking somone's a**. :-)
Phone is dying back soon. *poof*
oh boy do I know that feeling! Had it a lot when I was married. Actually got so mad at him once I grabbed a large , heavy dining room chair and tried to hit him with it. Lucily the ceiling stopped it. Scared him into being good for a whole month!
Hi everybody :)
10 left and I'm cross-eyed. bbl
Hello.... anybody here?

I took an embarassingly long nap today.

Naps are good. Very good.
hi circe
have not played today,. red, will do so once I finish this grid
it was nice, but in my dream I was trying to get something off my teeth and woke up biting my finger...very unusual.

Tag!
sometimes forget Canada is in time zones just like the rest of us
Keep getting bumped out of Babble so will say Hi and Bye untill the morrow.
I would love to go to the list, I just want to get about 5 more independently!
Hi to my fellow babblers! How is everyone doing today
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! YAY!
Hi Minver, I am alright, for some reason very very cold.
Hi again everyone
hello Nef.
Hello Nef! How are you doing? Welcome to the puzzle!
hi red and Min. I'm listening to the news and they mayor of Philly wants to tax soda pop at the rate of 2 cents an oz!
I'm not a big pop drinker but that is interesting -to say the least!
I suppose it is bad for health and they do tax cigarettes.
I suppose.
(Dh has CNN on for some reason; said no***** else on)
NEf! you are amazing, I was just searching for those.
I was trolling the chog for old clues, now I think I shall use lickety.
I've got 5 left before I'll allow myself to go to Lickety
I have 42 left period, so I am heading to lickety, would have preferred to wait until 30 or so but I am starting to see no*****.
when I can't see anything else, I leave for a while and the words seem to pop up when I return
me too but its been all day now and I want to finish!
oh, I just came back after being gone a while.
NOW I can open Lickety! :-D
I did some in the morning, 100, then went for a run and did a few more, then went swimming, and a few mroe and then.....
Go lickety !
hiya buddies, what's new?
hi Gwen!
Hi gwen, we are with lickety.
not technically, just using the list intently.
hiya nef, turtle, lickety, and y'alls
uh oh there's a ruton in the grid LOL
what's a ruton, Gwen?
one of the (very many) nasty alien races on Doctor Who . . .
here's a lovely pic:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rutan_Hos t
oh. I guess I've missed that one when I've watched Dr Who then. I don't remember it
only actually appeared in one story, but they usually get mentioned when sontarans show up
lose
oops!
busted
LOL! Good call, crossy! :-)
does anyone have the second In 6, 24?
Hello everyone.
hi Scrabs
hello all
back to find 55 more words
Hi Peri
scrabbs, I heard tucker is doing better...
howdy scrabbs:)
hardly just got started, don' ank-a me
Yep, Tucker is improving. I will check on him again soon. His bedroom is upstairs.
sorry, red. I don't have it and can't figure it out yet
what happened with tucker?
hi peri
what is wrong with Tucker, Scrabbs?
and Scrabs
don't have it red but looking
Hi all
thanks all!
Crossy, I have a computer question. On this PC when I click on the Firefox icon it won't open.
Tucker stopped eating and pooping--GI hypomotility--can become serious and even fatal in rabbits.
delete the icon scrabbs, find the main ff file and created a new shortcut icon
sorry to hear that Scrabs, glad he is doing better
OK, I will try that. IE opens, and this Babble Expert browser open, but not FF--was fine yesterday.
and reaffirm that ff has been set as your default browser
I am giving Tucker subcutaneous fluids three times daily now--saw vet this AM.
could be firefox is already running. you can check this by opening file manager (hold down Control and Alt and hit Delete JUST ONCE)
this happens from time to time as i.e cannot be totally banished from a gates and company os lol
you all are computer savvy! I just turn mine on.
we just have to hope that the operating system that google is working on will be done soon;0
any operating system that can replace Windows is a good operating system. LOL
I set FF as default browser.
fro every ten things i know, there are 10 i do not red;(
indeed gwen, its time for a change
after we kill microshaft we kill ATT
I use safari.
FF won't start up even when I click it from Start menu.
lol,for the first time yesterday i saw what they are wanting for win 7 ultimate!! good good wont catch me paying that much!
Hi and good day to all
might be time to reboot, scrabbler, sorry
hiya bichon
then scrabs, you may have to delete and reinstall ff
do you leave computer running all the time scrabbs?
hi bichon
red, in6/24 is the pl of the in5/14, a way that gold is stored
Yes, Crossy.
there are two nef, I need the next one but thanks!
yes, then turn off computer and restart
Hi bichon, peri, nef, cross, scrab, book, red
i turn mine off nightly
ty Nef
HI
howdy barb
Ohhh, I forgot to plural the Mr Laura In one ooops!
I tried that already--no change.
red, that IS the second one
hi Barb
thank!
what a mess I am in.
Mr Laura?
and after a restart if ff still does not fire up,i say a nice clean reinstall of it
yw :-)
Mr. Laura?
will only take 5 min for a reinstall
errr Miss Laura.
scrabbler, you might have to wait a minute to let it launch. if that don't work, you may have to re-install it again
Shake your fist at it
OK, TY, Crossy.
I need a brain reinstall.
make sure you delete all old ff files first though
I tried that already, lady.
Miss Laura?
start it up on i.e,then delete all instances of ff then reinstall
my brother has been putting google chrome through its paces.he says it is very nice.you may want to try that as well
but ive personally used ff for almost 7 years now and will not be changing
can a body get a clue for the di6/27 please??
Dang Sprite. I second the brain instal
OK, I went to Control Panel to remove FF and it says I have to close FF before I can remove it but it is not running that I can see.
speaking of brains, has anyone seen Oodle, he is always asking for a new brain.
do this scrabbs.....
Maybe Oodle is recovering from a brain transplant.
start/run.msconfig..it will bring up the start up menu and from therre you can disable ff
di6/27 = bilingual
firefox is already running, that proves it. you need to stop if from running.
I was just wondering.
then when you restart it will run ie only
got that clue earlier tor - no help. i'm not the sharpest pencil in the drawer
di 6/27 is singular of di 7/40 which is Di* a hole + l 4/4
can not believe they are selling "Barbie Potty training Puppies" they come with their own newspaper.
when ff gets buggy a reinstall is always best.my thoughts anyways
I managed to stuff up 2 cups of coffee this morning and then went stuff it and got the man of the house to make me one
Do I need to type something before or after ms.config? It won't work
msconfig
all one word
no period
start/run/msconfig
Alright, that works, then what do I choose?
did that clue help bo?
you will see tabs at the top of this page
choose startup
24 left and plodding along here
Yes: General...
OK, Startup
click on startup tab
need anothr break, bbs
you will see startup item list in the left colum
sorry :9 no
Yes, approx 2 dozen items are listed
Disable all?
no no!
bo, you di* a hole in the ground + add lo** to it
give me a sec scrabbs
I didn't, I was just guessing.
one sec im getting you the direct path for it
thanx Nef - i was going up, not down - like i said about the pencil...
fireworks. thank goodness....
good night!
hey i found the first in5 and 6, does someone still need that?
may come back later to clue.
Woo hoo, Red!
night
bye red
WTG turtle !!!! ~~~ !!!!
it's easy to go the wrong way and not see another word here
YAY, red! WTG!!!
ok close that scrabbs,im sending you a safer way to the same ends
OK, TY, Cross.
I did what you told me, Gwen, and it does not shoe that FF is running, yet it must be?
start/search/firefox/scroll down till you see the firefox line with program files in it,select uninstall then uninstaller
that is firefoxes own uninstaller and much better
then restart computer then install a fresh ff
scrabbler, well, in that case your windows has become unstable and definitely needs to be restarted, at least
Do I search files? folders? What?
often when you put a new ff in,it will often remember your fav plug ins
files
then you have a tech come over, and he will hit it with a pointed stick for you LOL
all files and folder
lol gwen
home techs a money vampires
i speak from experience. i have seen techs in action. LOL
then you will see a whole list of ff command lines
There is a list of FF files
my puter is so F@#KED up right now it refuses to install or update things. tech attacked it for 7 hours, and has to come back to attack it again. thank goodless it still plays games 8-)
si6/24??
Will a file come up that says Uninstall?
did you find the line with program files?
then click/uninstal/helper/uninstaller
i have been doing this on my screen as i am coaching you
si 6/24: when your radio gets fuzzy, you're si*nal is off or ***t
There are about 12 with Program Files--which 1 do I choose?
the uninstaller window will appear beind all the other open windows lol
sec
6th line down from the top
its a 889 kb file
thnx again Nef - my heroine!!
I clicked on Mozilla FF--then have list that includes Uninstall
I thought that sounded good but it sure reads lame! Glad you got it bo
the file is a 889 kb aplication file
well i'm due out on the town - so stop 11 short - a great evening to all of you!! :)
bye bo...enjoy
hey any clues for the left hand i for nbt?
barb's! how are things?
I did too much at the barn this morning so I think I am now stuck in my chair...ugh...other than that..ok
OK, I clicked on Mozilla FF--Program Files ---> long list comes up which includes FF 887 kb
at least I have babble to keep me from getting bored
oles
crap
ok from the top of the list count down 6
left-hand i, i5, rhymes with "corresponce" in the bible
click that one and go to uninstall
bye bo; hi pipping and Barb's
uninstall is the 11th one down the next list
when you have that let me know
After I click on Mozilla FF Program Files (and there are 3 to choose from) the list has an uninstall file--I click on that?
yes
then you should see a helper file
pipping, the left I uses part of a word (mis-spelled for a plant people kiss under at Christmas
Then new list = helper, shortcuts...
helper or uninstaller file
gwen, sorry, you totally lost me
see uninstaller?
ah, ty, got it
OK--Now I have FF Uninstaller Wizard!
there u go!!! yaa for scwabby!
nef, how is that misspelled?
DO save your bookmarks first
whew! crossy needs a drink now;)
But, same as before, I am told to close FF. Argh!
once it is uninstralled, restart computer on i.e and load new ff
I cannot open FF and then I try to uninstall it and am told that I have to close it first.
i pray that you do not have a stuck registry key....
pippin, I thought it was mis-spelled because enable doesn't accept it!
Now what, Crossy? Cry?
because i do not want you playing in the registry editor
I would never play in the Registry Editor!
while im thinking try con-alt-delete/startup and see if you can shut it down from there
ill be back in ten min
i had trouble at work with it saying that ff was open. i had to shut all down and then restart. you might need to shut down before trying to uninstall,
smar
smart to wait for crossy tho
off to pb....
nice that you caought it yourself, jmb
thanks nef!
Tell Crossy that I will be back in a few minutes--will do a chore quickly
Has anyone seen Rose today or last night please?
not I, herin (hi)
Hi. Thanks
scrabs!
Hi Owl
Lots of snow still there in Philly?
TO
ok scrabbs were you able to shut ff down?
Yes, and it is booting up now--always takes a while.
good girl
then remove all instances of that copy from where we were bf
it's melting. my azaleas are stanind upright as of late this afternoon.
I am checking the Control Panel first.
standing
a fresh re-install does wonders
Does that mean they are aroused TO?
"spring-"time and whatall?
There is still at least 2 ft of snow in my yard--I had to climb across an ice mtn to refill 2 birdfeeders yesterday.
Mmmm I remember snow.
time to go. bbl
Cross, now I am able to uninstall FF via the Add/Remove Programs. Next I will open up IE and install FF.
Bye Owl
dinner= bbq chicken, baked sweet potato and red velvet cupcake!
yum, to!
mom and i went out for thai food - basil rolls, pad thai, and warm custard over sweet coconut sticky rice
your making me hungrey and i need to shop first
is pad thai hot/spicy?
Ahh sticky rice, sweet potato, CUP CAKES!
good stuff scrabbs
YUm TO
TY Crossy! I will let you know tomorrow if this works. I cannot find IE now.
pad thai is as hot as you want it, or not at all - it's kind of a sweet/sa vory flavor
da 7/36 the 2nd pls
Hi all -- and for those with snow, here's "Roboplow": http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=t Pg1ZMiC9pA
Oh but you forgot the two most important food groups, choclit and coffee.
hi jill
Hi Jill
back after I check email :)
actually im back to using xp for my work computer, win 7 holds your hand too much.it is much easier to delve into the inner working of xp and adjust things;0
da 6/7?
da 7? the second 1 pls
nm, got the da 6/7
Did anyone check out the Roboplow link I just gave?
da 7, the second one is a da**** in distress, but add a vowel in the middle
I reinstalled FF and it is working now, Crossy! I need to send you a ton of bacon now!
lookin now jilli
that's great, scrabs!
ty bichon
yaa for scwabby...stick with me darlin and you will be wearing diamonds;))
I was ready to cry, Crossy, and you rescued me!
scrabs -- you were talking about snow so I posted the link just for you, but I guess you didn't see it :(
Hi jillibus. Just popping into admire your icon jillibus!
lol jilli,i love robo plow! but that guy is dealing with a few inches and as scwabby and i know that thing cannot scoop up snop and dump it ove r 10 foot high piles on either side of the driveway;(
no problem mam, just doing my duty..you are a purty lil country doctor, lets go to the dance tonight at the grange
Okay brain not working as I can't get any of the clues that everyone has shared...Maybe time to give up
thanks, min -- and I was most interested in yours!
back. chicken was nearly inedible :(
Square dancing tonight at our rural fire hall!
never give up, barb! What do you need? Maybe a diff clue will work.
Sounds like a blast haven't done that since high school
scrab, are you ignoring me on purpose?
hey thanks jill I appreciate it...
No--I have laptop going with Babble, desk top recovery with Crossy and then I just got off of the phone. Now I will find Roboplow.
oh, I see, lol!
I think I'm going to treat myself to a little notebook so I can sit out on my deck on a beautiful day like today, and still babble.
Sorry to hear about the chicken TO, that's why I go out to eat usually.
di 8/9?
the msi net books are a nice thing indeed jilli
No good bird should have to die so I can cremate it afterwards.
i think scwabby uses one
di8/9 -- 1st 3 letters of a girl's best friend, and committed thievery
ty jilli
crossy, I think dorens got a PC one just for Babble Expert cuz she uses a Mac otherwise
oh, and di9 is the pl of course
9 to go here
i bought it. if it were homne made it would be fine.
tyvm jilli
di 6/24?
a mac...ewww..well they are good for dedicated operations or auto cad and video;0
sorry the phone rang
what is roboplow?
actually a net book with a 802.11 wireless card would be amazing for babble
hey, i like my mac - i know i don't have the brain to do the behind-the-os work to keep it up as well as i would like (or install linux), so i will stick ith friendly
just add a voice to type program and you can sit outside and speak the words to the babble list
but laptops are nearly the same if you get hp
cause i feel like i don't have enough compy knowledge to be a responsible pc owner, i mean
Roboplow is a great invention but would not handle the amount of snow we get here. It is 10 ft high at end of the driveway, and 4 ft near garage.
heh assuming one can pronounce them :/
wow I got the di one wow
pippi, get a subscription to maximum pc magazine for a year,it is my bible for computer issues
but i do miss babble expert, i started playing this on a friend's computer and she had that, it was nice
Jill, I bought and Acer Aspire One netbook 14 mo ago and love it.
same here scrabbs..robo plow would die
is it like robo vacuumj?
crossy - maybe if someone bought me a pc i would but for now i stick with what i got...
hello, help with go6 pls
for scrabs and i,robo plow would need a blower, not a blade
It is a very clever creation though.
has anyone watched the video in my profile?
back for my last few
go6 one of the first four books of the New Testament
I think cooking must be genetic, I can follow a recipe, but that's about it. My mom definitely didn't get the cooking gene from her mom.
go clue anyone?
No, Owl
i should read the chat before I ask :)
hi shir
* * firewords * *
im elated you have ff back online scwabby;)
ty Jellen
Yay, jilli!!!
gonart
yaa for jilli
Me too, Crossy! I am SO relieved!
Yippee Jill!
OR go + ****ling bee
TO, I tried to but it jumped to something else. I'll try again.
oh my....am i an idiot
Scarb, an Acer is what I was thinking of. Does it come loaded with anything or is everything extra?
I don't know what happened, Crossy.
wtg jill
ooh! i just found an 8 all by myself!
go pinny
ah?
I don't remember what it came with--I added Firefox, OpenOffice and all of my faves.
TO is that you talking on the vid or did you just post it out of personal interest? I have never seen anything like it!
ty, scrabs
any hint for the gi5/6?
TO, I just tried again and the samwe thing happened. The black screen for the video came up but then it jumped to a generic YouTube page! Surely it wouldn't be blocked for Canada or anything?
gi5 is a thingamajig
Thanks, jilli!
Thanks so much, it was driving me crazy!
yw :)
open office is a good choice scrabbs
it eliminates the microsoft office headaches
Interesting, Owl.
I have an ancient version of Word now -- guess I should get Open Office too.
Was curious about Open Office...
and open office can be read by anyone stuck with microsoft office
There used to be a Fischer Body plant right down the street from my house. I'd totally forgotten about that.
I also have MS Works
Yes, I read about OO somewhere--maybe CNET or Lifehacks or MakeUseOf.com.
but I never use spreadsheets
ah6?
I have exciting news...
open office is da bomb!!

Great, Jellen!

Would never have gotten that, jilli!
TY, Jill. That word is an oddity!
ah6 has an interesting meaning

i am verry happy for you jellen!! i love antiques and my own dream has always been to open up a book store

exciting but terrifying
Oh, pip? What's new this year?
remember jellen "a coward will die many deaths before the end,a hero will die only once" :)
in june i'm moving to nyc to try and find work as a writer's assistant
send your resume to stephen king pippi;)
Ooh, exciting pippin!
going to be a very interesting time for me, since i've only ever spent a week in new york and i have pretty spotty work history after 9 years as a grad student
is stephen king hiring, crossy?
doesn't he live in maine?
im sure he is
he does live in bangor
yup
which is not nyc which kind of ruins that part of the adventure for me
besides, i'd rather work with a non-famous writer (or at least a less-famous one) and do more research and less pr
What's your grad work in?
social foundations of education - so i did stuff with anthro, sociology, philosophy, history, public policy, women's studies, and postmodern identity theory
which i think makes me a well-rounded researcher!
Well-rounded indeed!
I worked as a free-lance technical writer and researcher for a couple of years...

I'm sorry but laughter is not a word, and according to the dict. it's hyphenated. Enable is driving me nuts with unwords. LOL!
The pollock? Nice alliteration. :-D

there's the haddock of obviousness
Well I needed a good laugh anyway :-)

hi welki - i got the first si5 that goes with that clue, is there another?
*peeking out from pb and nodding* yes
(((tf))) has your day gone well? *tempts out of PB with choclits*
hello all, taking a 5 minute break from the angst of parenting, and to announce that the essays that are due Friday are ALMOST done (one more to do in this set, plus three easy ones for another set).

hrm, do we have our weekly visit?
oh! YAY TO!!!
hiya stid!
hm. yellow alert?
i have had a headache all day, but had a pretty good run in the afternoon regardless
i am goign to fb to play scramble, any challengers?
oh gee pippin, that's too bad *offers cool compress and warm tea*
mmm, tea. that will be a nice cap to my yummy thai food dinner
okay, does anyone else have chog showing up with a scroll bar and extra wide since stid came in?
yeah, someone posted an extra long word
oh oh, did I mess up the chog?
i figure if we talk enough it will move out of the scroll area
anyone want to play? i;ll be in the 5x5 4 letter words & up
nope. it was someone else
hey Nef
wasnt you stid, was the possible yellow alert
Stid u r great, *massage for pip and stid*
mine started when stid first posted ta few minutes ago
"just keep swimming, just keep swimming"
I have it too Nef
hi stid (don't worry, I'm just trying to figure out what happened
sorry Nef, mine was okay until the yellow alert
put if you want, I can go away...
hi everyone!
it was about 3 posts after stid showed up
LOL the alternative is to force the chat down until the long word is off the screen.
i think we're close to pushing it out of the scrollbar
hey LBD! I am BRILLIANT (sometimes)! I am not as far behind as I thought I was!
that's what i'm trying to do stid!
Hey Ibd! No stid don't go!
no, don't go stid! I was trying to figure this out
yeah, stid!
stid, you are brilliant and sm***
hi tfg
hi lbd
oooh ty pip
hi nef
I have to go in a couple minutes anyway, want to cap my day with finishing that one essay question and getting past halfway in the book that is so bleedingly dense (not bad, just dense and somewhat dry).
thanks pippin, now down to 82
I'm not to the ses yet, got 85
oops. 72. _i_ am sm5, but my figners are not cooperative today
go stid, go tfg!
if i can give a hi** for anything else i will
are you done pipping?
what's a figner, stid?
yes nef, i finished about 5 minutes ago
a backwrods typoid hand digit, pippin!
whoooooo hoooooo pip!
hey, we did it! normal scroll chat area!
figners belong to studnets
especially gdra studnets!
BTW I hope that it wasn't the yellow alert that caused this. If so, that can mess us up if they ever figure it out
rofl...
WTG, Pipping! YAY!!!!
yeah, i was thinking the same thing - even worse than a post that takes up vertical space
I believe they are not quite smart enough to figure that out Nef.
pb stid!
oh, I hope you are right, stid
but here, i still have some swedish fish for you
they are usually too much into themselves to figure that out
oop.s well that's okay, I was due to go write (with spell check in play) anyway.
thanks all! (((hugs everyone who doesn't live under goat bridges))) see you again in about an hour.
*ppof*

later stid

LOL! Bye, stid
once upon a time I knew a studnet
tee-hee stid sa** sm*** and pip sa** th***.
wait, what did i say, tf?
a good clue, pippin
who knows, my head is too poundy to notice such indiscretions
At 8:14 you sa** I was thinking the same th***.
oh, i did say that! oops!
as I sa** it was a good clue
then pb it is (takes back the swedish fish)
there's some yummy chocolate brownies in the PB
No, it just makes me feel better to know I'm not the only 1. :-)))) I was starting to feel like I should have a chair with my name on it in there.
best dessert i've ever had at the thai restaurant tonight
warm mango (or papaya?) custard over coconut black sesame sticky rice, all of it lovely and warm
what was it?
tf, did you ever see FM's pictures of the PB when she first made it?
sounds good, pip
i love me some custard, and rice, and it was yum!
Just finished a two day academic conference on addictions- so back to the addiction
i would love to see those pictures
Swedish fish, are they those red candy th***s or that really horrible rotten stuff they like up there?
welcome back, kap
nah, tf, the red candies
No, Nef I'm a newbie.
hi kaplan! i miss conferences, hope you had fun
here's the link to FMitch's profile. Look at her flicker pics. http://www.playbabble.com/profile_mini .php?id=6864
Kaplan, did you figure out you were completely addicted while there?
ha, that is awesome
I think there's been some re-decorating since then
hola!
hi geek!
why are there little square by our names?
tf, can you see that being sent to the PB isn't so bad now?
There's such a thing as being "a little addicted"
hehehe I esp. like the monkey and great big fridge.
huh? i just see the itty bitty user icons
oh, Kaplan? Did you learn that at the conference?
hi geek. don't know what you are referring to..no little squares on my screen
Do you guys play babble because it's fun, or do you do it to zone out, relax, de-stress, change your mood?
Hi again...wb, Kaplan!
It's like being a little bit pregnant right Kap
i also see little squares between the name and the flag
tf, that's the actual size of my parents' fridge
science, I see normal icons and such.
all of the above, kap
HM.
kap - yes
Kaplan, I play for all of those reasons
partly for fun, partly cause puzzles chill me out, and partly for the social
Someday when I'm all grown up I'm gonna have a real fridge too.
it's so big it's obscene and because my parents are weird it is always crammed full of crap
you know "thang" is word here in the south!
learn new words, relax, and talk to adults!
The mood altering appeali s the aspect that pose a potential addiction risk, but otherwise it's just an amusement.
now see if i had sa** thang instead of th*** i wouldn't have ended up in the pb!
Do they label stuff too pip? My folks do that
It doesn't mean you have to go join a 12-step group or anything like that
labels only in the freezer
i babble cuz drooling is too messy
that's good, cuz if I had to worry about everything that altered my mood, well just check me in now doc.
but exercising is mood altering too and i don't see nearly as much worry about its potential addictiveness as anything online
well, the part of Babble that alters my mood is the chog. Socialization is supposed to be a healthy th*** isn't it?
labels with dates!
i think as a society we tend to be much more worried about the potential dangers of computers and the intarwebs
Everything is a potential problem--or not.
In other words, Babble away.
So much for 14 hours of lectures. Did I tell you two of us had our wallets stolen at the conference?
worrying is bad for u!
oh no! did you find yours?
Oh, No Kaplan! I hope you didn't!
Yep, I did.
DANG! Or do you mean you found yours?
yep you did...find it or lose it?
Oh, that's awful!
It was removed from my purse. Another person sitting in the same general area also mysteriously had her wallet disappear.
So much for Harvard conferences.
how did you get your wallet stolen?
i hope they didn't get much.
It sucked, but I'm over it. Not much in the wallet- 20 bucks and an ATM card. I'm glad it wasn't my cell phone or appointment book.
i hope you contacted the bank about the atm card.
that really is bad; going to a conference and having to deal with that sh*t
Someone apparently reached in the bag and took it, Nef. It wasn't a place where I was particularly guarded
I'm over it. Bank notified. Hope someone had a great time with the 20 bucks.
It would really make me upset. I would assume that the conference would be a group of my peers, and to have something taken would make me suspect my peers
Yah, you think?
The conference organizers were a little upset.
I hope that some bad Karma bites the thief in the butt
what comes around goes around...one would hope
Or they get busted using my credit card
I'm with Nef, life's too short. People who do th***s like that always get paid back in the end.
well, write the 20 bucks off as a tax donation. :-)
There weren't any lectures on the psychopathology of petty larceny
LOL!!!!
too bad, that can be an addiction too!
I had someone steal a ream of copy paper out of my mailbox at school if you can imagine that. Who the f*** steals paper from another teacher?
Fireworks!
there you go, Kap. you can write a paper on that and present it at the next conference!
whoooooo hoooooo JELLEN!!!
YAY, Jellen!!! WTG!!
ugh, even the fireworks are making my headache worse. had to turn them off
clue for ah?
Good for you. I'm just checking in--altering my mood you know--and then going to bed
hindu pholosophy of nonviolence
a+ not her + don't **y another word!
or, um, a + not her + **y it ain't so
ty--didn't know that word.
Hi, everyone. I was thrilled to finish the grid this morning ... but, now I don't know what to do with myself! I keep checking in here, but no puzzle! lol
it's likely to show up again, so write it down, dalia
I've had students steal whiteboard markers, pencil sharpeners, tape, staplers, post-its, notebooks, even a 3-hole punch, but never an entire ream of paper. It's just weird.
lol mongie
hi, here to finish up
Good night, and remember- watch your valuables.
hi bichon!
night night, Kap. glad you're home safe and sound
Hi, mongie and bichon...
mongie, it changes at midnight CST
G'night, Kaplan
good night Kaplan, hope that your modd has improved
Nef .. I don't know if I can stay up that long! lol
And g'bye for now, all...going to jammie up and listen to an audiobook for a while...
have 44 left
bye jellen
night night, Jellen! go bichon!
My mood is awesome. Went out for a drink after addiction conference.
haha kap
mongie, you will find that a lot of plaayers will leave part of the grid to finish later for that very reason
back to the PB, pip!
Good for you Kap.
ouch, so true!
That is a good idea. It was the first I had every finished, so didn't know what a problem that would be! lol
ty pip
congrats on your first finish mongie
thanks pippin! ;-)
It was exciting to see the fireworks I kept hearing about, though. :)
hi wht
Thanks, lbdawger
glad to have so many helpful hi**s tonight
i still get excited getting fireworks
lol
I couldn't have done it without some excellent help here. :)
me too lbd. Sometimes (after hard grids) I'll sit and watch them for a while (I know, total geek!)
Hi guys
Hi all. Going to try to finish up my last 96.
Nef, I left mine up for a while to enjoy it!
after some grids i feel like they should be bigger and louder!
hi jilli!
If I finish early I like to stay and clue, or check for the next icon theme and look for a good one, or just chat.
Was this one considered to be less difficult than most?
let's see, i go in tomorrow at 7am, so up at 6, which gives me maximum 8 hours sleep
ok, so this is my 2nd grid ever, and I have 26 to go and I can't make myself step away from the keyboard...this is way too addicting, lol
mongie, it's also perfectly all right to stay (or come back) and chat with people when you finish a grid. I'll bet that several on here now finished earlier today and are just here for the chat
no, this one was a bit tricky, at least for me, mongie
Like me :)
yup, chat addict here
hi jess
lbd, I love your Maxine today
and me!
Hey JessasMom! I know exactly how you feel! lol
so 8 hours sleep is enough for me to take a pill and make my headache go away the easy way!
sounds like a good plan, pip.
sounds right, pip
Jessa are you using Lickety and more words or some other word finder list?
More words was a great help to me.
thanks, Jilli. it's in honor of the academy awards
damn that caffeine! (speaking of addictions)
I started using the Lickety after I could swear there were no more words to find...and I've been lurking and reading the clues you guys are giving.
I hope everyone has enjoyed my icon -- I'll be changing it sfter supper. Next theme is Your Favourite Shade of Green
I go to bed at night looking forward to my morning coffee! :)
i drink too much of it and then next day get withdrawal headaches
I've also been typing just random words just hoping for one to be right, which I'm very sure is cheating, LOL
I drink decaf
Jessas, try www.morewords.com ... great help.
caffiene contains xanthene derivatives, pippin. They help open the bronchial tubes and also constrict hte blood vessels to the brain (so can decrease headaches)
there's no cheating, jessas -- this is not a competition
Can anyone clue the I in the second column for nbt?
No ... not competition ... pure addiction. :)
is5/6 wht. wh***** while you work
wht, it's part of the plant at Christmas that people kiss under
Jessas, That isn't cheating. It is what we call monkeying.
wht -- if that I started with th it would be a prickly plant
ty lbd
thx, mongie, I'll try it now...
oh. too slow again :(
ok, wht, well, I've been monkeying around quite a lot, then....
Jessa and Mongie, contact Lickety and get babble expert! (that's assuming you are using a PC and not a Mac, however)
jessas and mongie, it's time for my speech about BabbleExpert, I think :)
well sure caffeine would help the headache - but then i couldn't sleep, plus i'd be at risk for another one tomorrow! gotta ramp down my consumption to reduce my withdrawal effects, basically
snap, lbd!
*puts on foil cap, i'm picking up on Jilli's thoughts*
Ok, jilli .. speech away
di8?
I'm listening...sitting up straight, ready to hear...
Down to one...I swear I've tried every possibility...ts anyone?
t + sa4
di 8, think of the lower number in blood pressure readings
holly ... di8 has to do with the heart and blood pressure
thanks, bichon, i couldn't remember which number it was!
ty! fireworks!
So, when will the speech begin, jilli?
ty bichon
BabbleExpert puts everything on one page and has a box where if you type one word it automatically goes to both your Word List and Lickety's list. There are also links under Resources to Morewords and A2Z etc. It's free -- just email Likckety and he will send it to you -- but it only works with PCs, not Macs.
Congrats, dalia!
whoooooo hooooo dalia!!
YAY dalia!!!
ty! ciao!
brb
Is BabbleExpert a website?
I'm on a mac and tried to talk Lickety into making a Mac version of Babble Expert; but he won't do it. I did try though!
wtg dalia
I have wondered about how you can add to both the babble list and lickety's without doing them separately.
Lickety is an actual person?
no, mongie, it's an invention of Lickety's, only available through him.
that would be nice, nef. glad you at least tried!
WTG, dalia! YAY!!!
Lickety is a guy who lives in Australia. His wife is mrpresident, aka mrp
Lickety is an Aussie and a real person.
mongie, i usually work with babble and then do a mass paste to the list, run thru the list once posting the words into babble and then another bulk add, repeat etc.
Thank you mongie
that's what I do too, pippin
Lickety does everything for us free of charge -- a wonderful guy
pip, that's doing it the hard way! Are you using a Mac?
so if his list isn't up; we need to all remember he's doing it for free and out of the kindness of his heart.
yup, no pc for me
but i got into babble thru a friend who had babble expert, and i was crushed to discover i didn't have the option for myself
Lickety doesn't have a Mac -- that's why he hasn't written the program for it. He did say he might try to do so if he had one.
jilli, that's the best way someon on a Mac can do it
I understand, nef.
Hmm. I wonder how much it would cost to ship him an old Mac laptop?
anyone here in victoria bc?
Sounds like a plan, I can see I'll really need that Babble expert, since I've been on this site about 22 times today. I really need to take a break...poor hubby is all alone at 10:07pm on a Saturday nite. maybe I'll pretend to have to go to the bathroom to check in again later, lol
that's where my babble friend is from, wondered if anyone knew her
Dorens has a Mac, but saw Expert on someone else's PC. She was so impressed she went out and bought one of those little PC notebooks just so she can babble on it!
her real name is nikko but i think she went by nabdancer here
sorry, pippin; I don't know her
pip -- I'm close to Victoria and so is flosey. There is also a babbler called Susanvictoria who actually lives there but she hasn't been on for a long time.
jilli, I have a pc laptop; but I like my desktop Mac better
i know at least a few folks here were friends with her mom, they live on main island
maine?
lol, jessas! You are definitely addicted! :)
well, nef, you could get Expert for your laptop :)
Mayne Island
I know, jilli. I'm just stubborn I guess
hi everyone!!!
hi luw
LU!!!! (((many many hugs)))
Down to 70 I'm never going to finish in time. Gosh I wish the list wasn't so big.
I just tried to email Lickety, but it didn't go through. Just kept sending, but didn't complete.
Oh yes, I know who you mean, pip -- I knew her late grandmother, who lived here, also have met her mother and father. She hasn't been babbling for years, neither have her parents. Her mother is MayneGirl and her dad is MayneGuy.
hi Lu
babble is a wonderful avoidance tool!!!
try again later, mongie
hi luwanda!
cool, jilli!
how are you all? I wrote a first draft of the last essay, and will revise it tomorrow or Monday. Now to babble a bit and then read...
Thanks, jilli, will do. :)
hi luwanda
Hi stid
i know she babbled 2 years ago when we both lived in tacoma - she was my best friend there, love her to death
it's rough when our lives take us in different directions, pippin, but I think I remember that babbler's name
Has anyone here played boggle on wordsplay.com?
pip, her grandmother was a great lady -- played babble as "dilly". I met your pal at dilly's funeral.
oh! dilly's granddaughter? yes, I remember her well. I still miss dilly. She was as lovely in person as online.
Dilly was a super bridge player and we all just loved her.
i remember mainegirl and dilly. names from the past. :-(
So at one time we had all three generations babbling -- dilly, MayneGirl, and your friend -- I've forgotten her babble name.
hven't met maynegirl yet, hope to someday.
or kahlua.
lbd, it's mayne, not maine.
there are so many babblers I would love to see in real life someday.
ah, kahlua, that was her name here, wasn't it!?
i saw my typo just as you corrected me, jilli. bad monkyes
wasn't kahlua dilly's granddaughter?
How long have you all been playing here?
yes, that was it :)
yes, I am pretty sure.
so yeah, that's how i ended up here, cause i had no other friends in tacoma -- she actually was a customer of mine when i worked at pier1 and "stalked" me till she saw me again and gave me her phone #
going on 5 years for me, mongie
mongie, if you click on our icons you'll see when we joined in the upper right.
and we hung out and cooked and drank and watched tv and played babble every night
Oh... thanks, jilli!
I wish *distracted by warm tea delivered by stidkid* we could have a series of gatherings, like those dinners that used to start at one house and then move to different houses for each course.
and we both left tacoma within a couple weeks of each other and i don't much hear from her but i kept on babbling..
my date is May 28, 2006
i'd love to host a progressive dinner!
hi, just reading back, Nikko went by Khalua(? spelling?) in think
we'd need the flying car in my icon, I think, lbd!
I wonder who has been here longest of all? I've been here going on 5 years too
most definitely, Jill!
lawyer 1 has been here a very long time. So has Jac.
good evening!
hi enom
stidmama, I am mad at you :)
wow jill -- I've actually been somewhere longer than you! *protective big sister look*
hi enom
why enomis? I am so sorry. choclit? *grovels*
*pops back in to take a look at the last 64* evening fellow babblers!
CIRCE!!! *faint*
hi circe!
Jacula joined August 11, 2005, Haz August 9, 2005
you got me hooked on lexulous - i'm ddicetd
addicted
hi circe!
uh oh...what did I do to stid...??? oh..Im from Oct 05!
oh no! poor enomis... yes, that lexulous is really something.
hi circe
lol jilli - and soon after you brought Dilli and me into this puzzle
I like leisurely Lexulous
yes, babble went viral! *wonders if "disease" trumps addication?*
but really, thanks stidmama!
wow, everyone is here tonight! hugs and cookies to all.
well our games are sure leisurely jill -- I think I went more than a month before I moved last!
Hetty was my seducer -- now she doesn't play any more.
mmmm. cookies!
anybody else playing lexulous?
what? Hetty doesn't play anymore? Darn!
lots of babblers play Lexulous via Facebook
meh, nobody offers to play fun games with me... :( (looks up at stid with puppyface)
via Facebook? how?
Hetty has been very busy, and I think it's hard for her to type for chog. she lurks at times though.
Nef, she can't take the time -- hubby needs care.
lol, no more distractions for me, babble and bridge take up my time
Time for me to get ready to settle in. My dog looks forward to bedtime each evening, and I don't want to disappoint him. (I don't know why he is so excited to go to bed at night ... he's goofy.)
peri been here since june 2004
PIPPIN! you want to play S L O W lexulous with me? it's the only facebook game I play.
sweet dreams mongie (and puppy) see you soon.
Facebook has a Lex app where you can invite your friends
sure - that's about all i could do anyway since i spend so little time on the internet
marigold has probably been here slightly longer than peri then.
night night, mongie!
I've wanted to try, but haven't eer played it.
Sorry to hear that jilli. Give her a hug from me please. I really enjoyed playing when all of you guys were on at once
Night, all, and thanks for the chat! Take care. :)

okay, time for pilly, then i will get silly

tertiare stumped me with an abbrev via text tonight - "fysbigtbabn" -- I had nary a clue...
what does it mean, trifi?
it means "fasten your seat belt it's going to be a bumpy night" - how was I supposed to guess THAT?
wow, i am stumped too
translation, pls, if it's not too blue
whatevs, that's too much!
wow!
oh, goood one! Now I must go!
wow .... and I thought I was getting the hang of it all. I am doomed!
i remember a manager of mine getting an email from her regional mgr that ended with "dliha" and we spent hours trying to figure it out
oy, that one makes my ears twitch
Sounds good to me ..
you could say bt dvs instead
don't laugh in her ass?
we decided "don't let it happen again" did not warrant a txt abreviation
What is it?
that is stupid.
That's dumb inho ..
I tell contrarians that msbik
iMho ..
dliha is a really stupid abbrev. but it's better than don't laugh in her ass....
okay, BR, I can't figure that one out. What is it?
My son bites inky knees?
nice one tor. :)
must eat BBL *poof*
milk spelled backwards is klim
Laters tfg ..
Well, that certainly makes a lot of se ..huh?
LOL, BR! I'll need to remember that for my kids! :-D
one of my friends used to work as an accountant in california, and howie mandel was one of her clients. his corporation name is LTMN, and it literally stands for "letters that mean nothing"
that's kind of awesome
Heh ..
or, bsbio
something boiled in oil?
bozo spelled backwards is ozob
Bro spelled backwards is orb?
oh, trif, i just spent some time truly enjoying your photos, that made my night!
ttfn, gtrib. xxoo syat.
sytt, lbd
which ones, pipping?
um, I'll stick with "bye, lbd" for now
the ones linked to yr profile - your mosaic, the art competition, and i think seussical
oh, yes, those - I forget what's where....thank you!
I think I got lbd - ta ta for now, going to read in bed, kisses and hugs, see you all tomorrow?
wow trif. I was still puzzling thur gtrib....
oooh, trif, you are good at the texting. it took me a while to get it typed right! lol. night everyone!
*poof*
read in bed sounds good, i got everything else
ah?
a + masculine pronoun + son of **m
thank you babblerabble.
well poop, i can't find the dress i want to wear for tomorrow's oscar party
if it's actually in my closet i will laugh. maybe i oughta check
nope, not in closet. back to square one
ty BR
yw
Pippin, are you getting an oscar?
I didn't get nominated again this year. sigh. same old stupid rule, you HAVE to make a movie to get nominated....
not nominated, just attending with my famous paramour, so of course will be dressed to the nines in my thrift store duds pulled from the bottom of a floorpile
but! dress is found, now i can bring the thigh high red and black striped socks in case it is cold when i get out of work.
lo6?
and of course my famous paramour is imaginary, as is the oscar attendance, but i will make an appearance at a local party or two just to see a couple friends
it's a compound, kje
kje - compound word like a traffic *** with wood
lo6 Lots of lumber stuck in a river.
ty
Pippen, much of what happens here in the chog is imaginary.
hey again!
pippin? weren't you going to hit the hay?
thanks for the LO words.
well then yes, attending in my highest heels! look for me on the red carpet on e!
I have fireworks. Are they real or imaginary????
pills are tooken so loopy is coming, but had to find the dress i want to wear for tomorrow's oscar parties
depends... are they hot?
YAY wht!
Pippen, I will look for you. If I see someone rock-climbing the wall of the theater I will know it is you.
since it wads into a ball about as small as some of my underwear it can be difficult to find at times
I am considering sleeping pills tonight, haven't sl5 well all week.
then it might be worth it stid , and hi
hey doren!
in trials... better sleep hygiene ALWAYS outperforms sleeping pills
hi all. 4 to go...anyclues for da 6/7 and de 6/7 plz
i have the nyquil on board....a drug induced coma is moments away....
hey grannie 1
hey stid
sweet dreams, trifioso?
better sleep hygiene does not work with panic attacks or physical pain, kje.
just trying to shake a cold, really
granny, da 7 is da**** in distress with a vowel in the middle
thanks for the DA word!
got that on Nef da 6 24 and 7 36
then rather than a sleeping pill, the underlying disorder should be adequately treated... treat the pain better, or treat the panic attacks if needed
I don't have the de6/7 yet (and I bet that wasn't the word you were looking for either, huh? I didn't read your post right)
that's what the (prescription, mild antidepressant) sleeping pill does -- and pain meds were not possible this past week due to pain being gastric.
There are no de's in this grid
there is an evil da6/6 with an extra vowel
sorry meant di
A great article for those interested in enhancing their understanding of themselves.
I don't need it usually in the light months, only over the winter and when I am having active anxiety episodes. I don't take any medications lightly.
Actually a da6/7
http://www.psychologytoday.com/print/1 752
BR! (((((many many hugs)))))
hope you feel better stid
di6 speaks two languages
thanks BR -- this is a good one will read more in a little bit. It's what I need today.
Or make many holes
thanks for the di words
sorry don't get the di clues
yw stid
I will kje, thanks.
mmm, getting loopy and sleepy
can i just not have to go to work tomorrow? i'm kind of over my job
go to SLEEP pippin!
tourist season hasn't materialized and i'm making less than half what i expected, and it's making me cranky
I will go out and *** a hole in the empty ***.
sure. quit your job and I will quit grad school (or parenting) and we'll spend our extra time lying on the beach letting cabana boys wait on us hand and foot.
hard to save when the money's not there to come in!
thanx wht, that was easier for me...lol
it would be nice to ot think about saving for a while, let's go to the beach - as long as it's not here in florida
*yawn* down below 60 words. Going to play some games with the kiddo who's at home and then head for sleepy-land myself.
see you-all later! *poof*
nite, stid!
Bye stid

nite stid
In fact, by all, it is time for me to head off to the land of nod, myself.

Go is good news

Really going now. Night all.

I really enjoy watching the fireworks sometimes. But it's getting late, so if no one needs any more hi***, I'm going to go to bed now
i have 29 more, nef, so I am afraid I might not see any pyrotechnics tonight....
do you need help, Trifi?
My monkeys left early due to exhaustion and I am desparately seeking the in6/24 (2nd one). A clue please for fireworks. Thanks :)
nah, I am fine nef. get some sleep, dear one!
Digby, it's gold in***
digby pl the in before it
Thanks!! I was looking at the wrong S, and couldn't make it work. Thanks again!!
YAY, Digby! WTG!!
Thank you Nef and Dizgrannie! So nice to have Babble friends to help me out! :)
that's the nice th*** about Babble. People here are willing to help others
thats okies Digby, you lot help me out heaps, and I am finally managing to clue correctly...lol
what I hate is when I know the words but can't manage to clue it
Yeah some words are hard to clue without giving the whole th*** away.
I introduce my 83 yr old mum to babble, as she says, she has never finshed but enjoys trying to find the words
I tried to get my Dad to play because he used to enjoy word games, but now he is legally blind and has trouble using the computer.
aw Digby, what a shame
He used to love crossword puzzles, logic problems, jumbles, stuff like that. He does have a magnifier so he can read email but that's about it.
Anyone need a clue?
I could use a nudge for the first si, if you have one please
s + eskimo houses minus last vowel
thanks!
that was another babblers clue ages ago...lol
