I have no idea jilli. I found out after our fire that he had some furniture/rubbish stored under a tarp (for council cleanup) and he found it on fire at 1am on a Saturday morning.... let me stress HE found it on fire.
He put it out with the garden hose and called the police and blamed me... but they never investigated it cause they didn't believe him
and he's trying to blame you for it???

no it is not futile. But it is only possible if they want to change, and since the fe4 is so huge and the persona so strong, the motivation to change must be even bigger and stronger. It happens, and some people heal. But it is rare.
I studied MNPS at university whilst doing psychology... it was my favourite subject in abnormal psych...
I know my father will not reach that point. He is 77 now, and living alone, playing piano for choirs, surrounded by singing women who think he is the most charming man in the world. So not much motivation for change.

yeah, most of it I can relate to. I think the 'experts' in that story miss a couple of points. First that it IS psychopathy, one of the most severe disorders one can have. It is not that rare. And second that the narcissist doesn't feel he is doing something wrong because he has no empathy.

errr yes mrP, but Asperger's isn't narcissism :) And your son has grown up in a loving environment where he got the chance to learn empathy at his pace. And he wanted to learn, because you knew how to motivate him.

well it is true :) MNPD isn't just caused by being in a power position some period in the youth, btw. Usually there is one parent who is very hard on the child, demanding perfectionism. While the other parent dotes on the child, gives no boundaries at all, worships it even. There is no way for the child to develop a real sense of self. They learn to create personae and to manipulate, building wall after wall around their very fragile self. And then they become the mask.

therapy is really important, i think. You need to know exactly what and how to exercise. You don't want to injure it more, but you also want to keep those muscles in shape.

Yeah, I know. They're in a pretty well sealed thick plastic container, though, and don't seem to have dried out at all. But I may dump them anyway and replace them with this year's crop.

You are so lucky to have fresh berries. That is the sweet taste of summer.
I've been leaving the mulberries to the birds and squirrels, but I claim the raspberries for myself :-)
I picked fresh raspberries once at a road side "pick your own". Lots of bees. But the berries were SO much better than store bought.
And they are SOOOO expensive in the store!!!! I just can't bring myself to pay that kind of money for berries that have so little taste even during the 50 weeks of the year that mine are not ripe :-)

he is good..took him to the parade today....on our way we went through the mob of humane society dogs that they always take intot he parade..and he didnt bat an eye
oh, that is good. My dog Sera is not so good with other dogs, particularly ones her size (large)
we sat at the curb ( found some grass for him )....and a couple wee ones were sitting on the curb..he inched his way up..and promply got lots or head pats..and was in heaven...
ah, yes, little kids love Sera too :-)
he is really really good with other dogs..and kids...and...everyone..doesnt like men with reflective vests on..
and she is very good with them, just not with other large dogs (she was a rescue, was 4 years old when we got her - we really lucked out as she is a total sweetheart)
( but for 15 weeks... ur just never sure how a dog will react... and this dog has been amazing ..he really adapts very easily to everything u present him with )

ah, yes, that is nice. I had two cats but Frank really wanted a dog, and a large dog - when we saw Sera at the local shelter we just fell in love with her.

The teacher pulled me by my ea4/4 many times to break up fights I had w/other kids.My parents fe 4/7ed for my future because I was such a bad girl.I would always fe4/7 them lies and fl5/16 any accusations made against me.When I was accused of stealing one of my teacher's pu4/6e & taking money, I denied it.I did not he4/6 my parents warning about being grounded if I did not listen to them. They even hi 5/14 someone to teach me proper ettiquette. One time, I tried to run away from reform school, but did not get very far. Their security guards who pu6/27d me got me 10 minutes later. There was not much of a pu 7/40. I ir4/5 them so much when I was little. oh, lingonberries are quite tart, from the vaccinium family like huckleberries and blueberries, but they are a clear red and very nice counterpoint when served with sweet things.
