good morning
morning, ruby
hello ruby
evening, flo
hello seain
thesde mornings feel more like Oct than Aug -- in the 50's
we're chilly for August, dipping below 70 at night, if just barely.
we have had beautiful sunny days but not as warm as it should be
that is great for DC, n'est-ce pas seain? I've been there in Aug when it was like a swamp!
we have your heat, highs have been around 90F.
it is, though the humidity is high enough i'm leaving the windows shut at night.
high humidity here in Indiana, too
we are very lucky with the weather here -- cool but sunny in the afternoons and just enough rain, every couple of days, to keep the garden green, flowery and full of fruit
not finding the first ap7, any clues please?
been dry here, effort to get flowers and fruit. Even the wildflowers are stunted, but the corn's doing alright so far, but we'll see in 3 weeks.
ap + the candle is ... + 2 letters used in texting meaning I see
ty Dee, once again
yw
ty dee, never would have gotten that
:)
I'm glad it's a chewy grid but I'm not making fast progress
feel as if I've hit the wall
i'm moving along slowly too
at a complete halt with 52 left...am seriously thinking of listing...
first 80 were OK, but I'm stymied by the big ones
calling in the monkeys.....
oh Dee, I don't know how you get so far without the list
I pay great attention to the chat; it really helps me
lol, but sometimes it can get too interesting, thus slowing down!
completely true

well done ruby

I just looked at your profile, flosey, that is a very handsome dog
4 more words and I'll be off to bed, leaving 80 for tomorrow
thanks ruby, such a sweet face
and I don't like the idea of docking a tail!
that is one of the most expressive parts of a dog. They've outlawed the practice in France, so people take their boxers etc. over a border to a vet
we are at a standstill here regarding another dog, I'd like one that I can lift to bath in the laundry sink
hubby wants another lab retriever
I did love our other one but she was too much for me to bath/groom
we are having that problem with long-haired Ruby. She is stinky, but no groomer wants to wash hew
her*
I ran into that here on the Island, I made the mistake of saying that she was a farm dog!
dh is back, see you later. Sweet dreams, flosey
bye ruby
and thanks, am almost asleep right here
down to 75, now off to bed, goodnight to anyone still here, be back sometime tomorrow
nite flosey
g'night Dee - wondered if you were still here

good morning everyone. I just need the i in the 2nd colum for nbt. can anyone help?
ia4 - small amount
oops - io4!
io5/12 and io6/21 also
just woke up
thats kje, I got it before your correction lol
I use my own alternative spelling scheme ; )
thakns haz
You're welcome.
gm haz... long time
Hello, kje.
what about a clue for the 9 to give me nbs? this will give me a record (for me) of nbs and nbt in under 100
haven't even looked, jenny... just started
di9 - as given by the boss to the secretary to get the work in written form
I am still in my random rapid entry pattern at the moment
Or di9 - what we used to do in French class.
ty haz
You're welcome.
gosh Haz, thats a twisty one - I would never have got it on my own
di8 - choose from Hitler, Stalin or a playacting Chaplin.
yep, saw that one after you clued the other
No problem.
thanks again
what's the weather like today where you are haz? It's wet and cold here in Oxford. My husband is in California in the sunshine - unfair!
It's wet at the minute but the sun is trying to break through.
The dark clouds look rather ominous, unfortunately.
good job your beautiful wedding was last weekend
We were SO fortunate.
jealous, haz... we are in a heat wave and drought
the photos are wonderful
I'm looking forward to seeing what the real photographer comes up with - but it's fun to have a foretaste.
Hi HaZ I am supposed to be going to The Picnic on the Green in Walmer this afternoon - I keep looking at the weather and wondering how long before I decide not to go!!
love the iphone pic... so classic
He looks so pleased with himself, doesn't he?
when my daughter got married the weather was wonderful until the last photo when you can see my d-i-l with her hand over her 2 day old babies face as she ran for cover. It then rained for 48 hours non stop
he should be! he got his girl!
Picnics are to be enjoyed rather than endured so I can understand your dilemma, Deeha.
I envy you living near the sea Deeha, we live about as far inland as you can get.
I am a Lioness and I am supposed to be going to try to drum up new members but I have been three years running and so far-zilch!!
Yes I do live in a glorious place
I take it being a lioness is related to the Lions clubs?
Yes, they were formed in the days women werent allowed to join the Lions in their own right and a few of us are still hanging on!!
Hang in there - you'll be needed.
Ive got goosepimples-just listening to the gorgeous Alfie Boe singing 'Bring Him Home' b!!
Deeha, have you ever listened to the four Valjeans, done at the concert to celebrate 20 years of Les Mis?
It's spine-tingling when Alfie Boe joins in.
Let me see if I can find it on youtube.
Yes, I googled it last night. Amazing.
http://tinyurl.com/3rcro4c
apparently he was discovered singing while he polished cars in a car factory in Liverpool
Ah, you've seen it already. I love the reactions of the other performers at the back. They're just in raptures.
I have got thre 25th Annivbersary DVD and there is a bit with the original Jean Valjean -when he did it 25 years ago-you wouldnt recognise him - or Michael Ball!
We were fortunate enough to see Les Mis in London last year. The music is fabulous, isn't it? Michael Ball has got rather rounder but he can sing!
Hes twice the man he used to be!!
I don't think we had any famous performers - I'd love to see Alfie Boe's Valjean.
Michael Ball always comes across very well in any interviews I've seen. He doesn't take himself too seriously but obviously works hard.
hiiii\
So would I. Tho I live reasonably close toLondon if I went for an evening performance I couldnt get home and often the 'big name' doesnt appear at the matinees
It starts to get very expensive once you factor in a night in London, doesn't it?
True. There are coach trips locally but again it is matinee. I saw it years ago and I'd love to see it again whoever sings.
Must go and do a few bits and peices now. Talk to you again. Good luck with grid.
Bye, Deeha, have a good day.
I should do the same. Back later.
good afternoon all
hi sprite!
I am sitting here enjoying the sound of rain!!!
hi kje, how nice :)
first rain in 2 months
more than needed
K dead
yea!
kje, that's WONDERFUL!! Please send some our way!
hi Une :)
hey, sprite :-)
Was just reading about this . . . groan: Controversial Florida pastor Terry Jones, who sparked international outrage for plans to burn a pile of Qurans, will visit Ground Zero on the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Hi
hey, herin :-)
omg... that makes me sick

Morning all. Haven't played for ages but nice to see you all still here :-)
hi Sally :)
How are you sprite?
been better, but hanging in there. And how are you?
Not too bad. And how is it with Terra?
terra is wonderful! Very happy and healthy.
Good :-)
and it is very nice to see you again :)
Thank you. Words rolling in at the moment so hopefully I haven't lost my touch :-)
never. Babble is like riding a bike, or swimming. You never unlearn.
But you might unremember!
hi a clue for the tr 8s please
hehehe only for a little bit. The cupboard doors of your mind will pop open from association soon enough.
There are tr8s? Looks anxiously.
hi roncook
hi sprite.
I don't have them, sorry
There are no tr8s
lol molly. Stops looking.
thanks Molly
hello again
hi rubyfoo
hi rube
{{sprite}}
sorry i`ve been looking for what`s not there.derrr
poor ron
{{sally who-I-haven't-seen in a long time!}}
hi kje
Hi Ruby!
((molly-o))
Haven't been here for ages Ruby. How is everything?
Smug. Just found four blood vessel related words.
very nice, Sally :)
*Hugs Ruby back* Hey everyone.
next we'll try the bike, sally
hah found a french word. Affijn, een mens is geen konijn. Dammit, men is no rabbit. Enfin, l'homme n'est pas un ....?
nbt, nbs, but still not even half!
The bike? Bewildered.
sprite: whose chow chow is that? Looks like my dearly departed Rufus
excuse me???? Go wash your mouth, rubyfoo. With green soap! This is Terra!
sprite said babble was like riding a bike or swimming
terra looks like a chow! lucky terra
Ooooh! Well I think I'd wobble alarmingly on a bike these days although I used to ride one to work, and find swimming difficult now with my spinal problem. Hope Babble will be easier.
i see a keyboard
aaah, I just opened your profile and what looked like a ruff in the icon picture was actually ears! duh me
Terra is a King charles cavalier spaniel. Not even knee high. And utterly beautiful!
with spinal problems you should never swim on your belly, only on your back or just play around vertically in the water.
rubyfoo rubyfoo... been after the cooking sherry again? ;)
sally, it's like when people say to me "Oh, swimming would be good for you". Maybe, except I would drown because I can't swim!
she has better sources there than cooking sherry i imagine
lol yes, I think so too
right now having desert: dulce de leche ice cream
keyboard... let me check if I have that one
I used to swim a lot ruby, and it's a sadness to me that I just can't.
Oh ruby, I've just started making ice cream with dulce de leche!
it is the best!
sally, I feel that way about running. I could run for an hour, it was just like dancing, and my orthopedist has forbidden it
but I have some hot-cathode vacuum tube, does that count?
hi all
we don't have dulce de leche here
FW!
hi carlee :)
hi sprite
*~*~*POMPOM TOSS**~* for kje
wtg kje!
no, your icon, sprite... i see a keyboard/piano
I can only get it in specialist shops, sprite. I used to be able to buy M&S rich caramel which was also good for ice cream, but they have stopped doing it :-(
yay kje! and hello carleeeeeee!!!!!!
hi carlee
isn't it awful, the things they take out of assortiment?
hi ruby....kje
dulche de leche is easy to make
easy for you, kje!
lollll oh ok kje. That is yesterday's icon. Icon clue for ebony.
Presumably you boil condensed milk kje? Have never liked to do that.
how do you do that, kje?
yes...u boil a can of sweetened condensed milk
u stick a can of it in a pot and u boil for about 4-5 hours
OMG, kje, we're having rain too!!! Yeehaw!!!
here is a wiki, sprite... http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Dulce-De-L eche
( a pot filled with water...an unopenned tin )
very very easy... just don't let the water boil hard or you will have a mess, slow simmer is best
perfect, thanks all :)
a tin with holes in top!
otherwise you risk explosion... you kow, the whole heat, pressure, closed system physics thing ; )
Oh I thought you didn't put holes in the tin?
yea une!!!
Not quite awake yet. We're boiling condensed milk to get what?
bon jour une
dulche de leche
i had heard no holes...cus you can boil several and leave on shelf...( I cant do that way as ours have pull top lids..so i take a can..add brown sugar and butter and simmer stirring constantly until thickens and lightly boils ( about 15 mins )
sweet milk caramel
( and.....wea re BACk to food..man i had some yummies last night..but weird )
hey, ruby :-)
you do not eed more sugar... it is already quite sweet
weird yummies??
I'm soooo thrilled -- this was our one little window of opportunity for rain, then tomorrow we're going back to dry dry dry
but you ca boil sans can if preferred... no explosion risk
i have only seen 2 methods of making it kje...a shortened version ( butter and brown sugar added ) and the unopenned tin simmerd gently for 4-5 hours
Gads kje I agree. Condensed milk is FULL of sugar.
I have some recipes for here with dulce de leche and never got around to making them. Now I can!
I remember my mom talking about how sweetened condensed milk was "dessert" during WWII rationing . . .
soundns good, carlee
there is a whole list of methods on the site kje just gave
sweetened condesed milk is phenom i coffee.... omg
there was a sweet for dessert... and they were balls in sugar water....you had your pick..pink or white...and they looked like unrippened mozza balls... but were...a dense..wet cake thing...yummy..but weird
fyi - can ot verify any of those methods except the can one! but sure they will all work
sounds like my kind of desert, carlee
and...sweet rice that was orange..not a rice pudding..just..sweet basmati rice..tasted like candy....weird
the site warns for not making holes in the tin, because there is a ri4 of explosion
just..odd textures...
so u do make holes..or dont sprite?
Sounds like rasgulla Carlee. Although I think there is cheese involved in those.
you should make holes, yes
they were bangladeshi desserts
I think rasgulla has fresh cheese balls floating in rose-water flavored syrup
and there was this weird ( but very tasty ) creamy curried fish...
just boil the milk and hang it up in cheese cloth over night
Please make holes kids. Don't want to hear about a condensed milk explosion in a Babbler's kitchen.
heat... closed system... basic physics = increased pressure
( they did not have texture of cheese...and i hate rosewater..i would have tasted that)
Creamy curried fish...madame reaches for the bucket.
the tin method with holes is very clearly set out on kje's site, so I will do it just that way, don't worry :)
I used to make gulab jam using Bisquick and powdered milk which I friend in cardamon and saffron-flavored syrup
phantom of the day..tonsil
yep... as they say in holland: boem = ho. BOOM = stop.
fried* (not friend
boom could be exciting though... you'd have a story to tell
I have this feeling I could learn to love cooking when I would spend a lot of time with rubyfoo and carlee in the kitchen
and..tonights dinner is potluck....i have NO idea what to take..i am thinking my green bean salad
oh my favourite word for my dx m-in-l is in the grid..pain in the a$$
Good day Babble buddies.
my kitchen is designed to accomodate two people cooking! it's a friendly space - always flowers
lol carlee! The lovely israelean bread!
hi Scrabs :)
flat bread yes
Hey Scrabs
hello scrabs and a bunny hug for you!
I love that bread. With garlic sauce.
kje--rain in Dallas was a focus on the Today Show a few minutes ago. You need rain!
hi scrab
or with hummus
*Does a rain dance for KJE*
not a great fan of hummus.
time to get going.. later gators
I hope it's raining in Austin
oooo Molly you look sexy when you do that!
bye kje
Bye kje
bye kje *hugs*
we got rain, scrab... i sat here listenig ad enjoying
Sprite, I wasn't a hummus fan either until I started making it myself.
"hot stuff molly"
I bet that makes all the difference indeed.
me, too, molly; I didn't like it until I made it leaving out the tahine
same for baba ganoush, also leaving out tahine (nasty sesame paste eeewww)
No tahine in mine either Ruby. Garlic, beans, lemon juice, tabasco, salt, pepper and tabaso.
now that sounds just great. Something with those ingredients should taste lovely.
canned chickpeas, olive oil, lemon, garlic, salt
just reading the word Tabasco makes me sweat!
and Molly uses double tabasco :)
for another potential kitchen explosion, bake eggplant without piercing it!
i have to have tahini in my humous ( not alot...maybe 2 tbsp / tin of beans )...I cook the beans first...and....lots of lemon..and puree until is colour and texture of whipped butter
roasted eggplant for baba ganoush + lemon juice, olive oil, garlic and salt
and garlic and olice oil
I think I like tahini
olive
now it's time for the New York Times Sunday crossword and a nap
enjoy, rubyfoo
bye everybody, see you later to try and get the remaining 149 words

I LOVE the weekend NYT crossword puzzle! It is in our Saturday paper. I haven't looked at it yet.

*~*~*POMPOM TOS*~*~*for sprite
Yay Sprite. I am 238 words behind you.
Congrats sprite. See you again.
bye all *hugs*
Bye sprite.
scint
Do NOT try that word.
Ugh, should have been olive oil and tabasco. And I like my hummus thick. I don't puree it.
it is thick molls....just incredibly smooth...i dont like little bits in it
Hello to my fellow babblers! How is everybody today?
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! YAY!
hi minver
Hi Min
Hmm...no seeds in raspberry jam...no little bits in hummus...detecting a "texture" theme. : )
ok..nbt for 30
( i dont like raspberry seeds in my teeth ...and i work in an arab kitchen all the time..i have been trained on "How to make Proper humous" as per...the arab kitchen style....but yes on some things it is a texture thing for me...i dont like wet grainy things...)
Wet grainy things? Like oatmeal?
hmmm...wet cake...like basboussa...
a semolina / cream of wheat textured cake..soaked in syrup
love oatmeal
So, in commoners cooking, no rice pudding or bread pudding?
*running off to kitchen to prepare oatmeal*
no..i like rice pudding....and i like bread pudding...
( both with rasins )
Ah, unacceptable word, but fine chocolate maker in the grid.
OK, oatmeal + walnuts + fesh blueberries.
Ooo, sounds lovely Scrabs.
*fresh
i had a turkey sandwich and 3 big glasses of water at 3:30 am
ugh..am missing a 6 for nbs
And then did you go back to sleep?
yes...until i woke up crying from a dream about my father
ao6 = Latin plural for biggest artery in body
thanks scrabs
nbt/nbs in 39
Aw, that will happen frequently for a while
i rarely dream about people....and when i do they are very vivid...very colourful....
I have no 7s, 8s or 9s
pe9 think of slashing and highsticking...
I have a very vivid, detailed and busy dream life. I find it exhausting--like watching TV all night.
TY--one 9 down
Sorry about your dream Carlee. Hope it is balanced by a good one about your Dad.
i have busy dreams but they rarely have people in them that i am close to...people from my past...or peole i have never met...
I need an i word from left i for NBT
it was ultimately a good dream molls... he told my step mother nad i to stop being silly cryin gover him...that he is right here...kissed her on the cheek...gave me a hug..then went downstairs to watch tv whilst she and i headed to bed.he had a plate of munchies...and looked healthy but for a couple bandages where the iv's were
io6
it refers to a partical...same ending as ur major artery
what a comforting dream, carlee
GM Une. I found io4, now looking for op6
hey, scrabs :-)
it will be when i think back on it...but it just made me miss his hugs more right now
op?
Nice way for him to reach out and let you know he's okay, Carlee.
io 6/21 word is plural of the io 5/12 word Uneaixoise.
Hello Uneaixoise! How are you? Welcome to the puzzle
thats what i think too molls...
i have it, min -- was giving it to scrabs :-)
I meant to type io6
right after my mom died in January, my daughter dreamt that she climbed into bed with her and they had a cozy chat -- extremely comforting for her . . .
Une, I removed the seed pods from my Columbines (they are so cool) and planted dozens of seeds last weekend. I am waiting for them to pop up.
wow, you're gonna have columbine - a - palooza!!
Perennials = low maintenance!
it will be....but right now..its all too fresh... its a nice "last" sight of him to replace the real last sight of him...i have seen people close to death before but the condition he deteriorated to was out of a horror flick
Have nothing BUT perennials! LOL
Yep, dying people no longer resemble their healthy selves.
I plant some annuals---sweet potato vines, coleus, pansies, tornia, impatiens.
carlee, I totally understand -- it's really a relief that my dreams of my mom are always of "my mom before the years of dementia" . . .
*tickle* A bunny is under the couch and nudging my ankles.
very cute scrabs
how sweet, scrabs :-)
Miss Beatrix Potter spends the day sleeping under the couch.
OMG, is that her name? How wonderful!
When I went into the kitchen to make oatmeal she ran over, sat next to her empty salad plate and stared at me. Message = I would like some more greens please.
I call her MIss Bea.
my dog for some reason last night was barking at everything....it is not yet a full moon... but man...it was as if it was
<<<<<<< Beatrix Potter with bunny :-)
What a sweet picture Une.
I agree!!
Cute! My downstairs' bedroom = bunny-themed room. I have framed posters of Miss Potter's stories, of rabbits and of a Miss Potter biography poster.
very cute scrabs....
I still have one wall of Beatrix Potter wallpaper in my duaghter's old bedroom :-)
*daughter
Actually, my entire house = bunnies! I collect things with bunnies.
love that you have a bunny room!
I now have a bunny wall border so will repaint the room to match. Also, I have many framed photos of bunnies in there. And it is Miss Bea's "room"--large crate, her food + water, but she has the entire downstairs for herself, and her salad plate is on her own little rug next to the kitchen. That's where she sits and waits for salad or lets me know she wants more.
i'm sure my backyard bunnies will be coming out soon for a snack now that we've finally had a little rain :-)
My bunnies train me well.
:-D
our animals do...
I am stuck with 186 to find. I need to give my eyes and brain a break. BBS
later, scrabs :-)
X
morning, inge :-)

let me know if u want a clue...
ok..guess not :)
are you okay carleekat--i came in on an end of a conversation. . . .
nbt
um...yea... i am hoping i will settle enough to get some sleep...my daughter and her bff and i headed out at midnite to watch the meteor shower..then i ate ( as i have another iftar and dinner tonight..am only going cus is pot luck so i can "give back" for all the dinners i have already been to )...slept for 3 hours then woke from a very vivid dream about my dad
ah i have had a few of those. . . they can be nice if distrubing
i forgot about the leonids . . . were they nice this year?
it is nice...it will be a good memory/ message/// however you wish to think of it...but right now..its too close..
( perseids i think...) the moon was too full and we had some haze..in 3 hours we only saw about a dozen decent ones..and one good one
normally we go to the beach ( looks north ) and see 4-5 a minute
Weird that Enable won't accept sloat
i understand. . . the last one i had was the night before my husband's best friend (also a lawyer) died. . .i was trying to call him and tell him that my husband (long dead) was waiting for him to smoke cigars and swap tales but they said he was too ill and i couldn't talk to him
when i woke up from the dream i was struck by how real it was and then later that day i heard that the friend had died that night
hi all
hi TO i waved at Temple yesterday while driving a kenyan around Quaker Mecca
dad just told my step mum and i we were being silly ..that he is right here. gave my step mum a kiss on the cheek and me a hug..then he headed downstairs to watch the late night sports round up...with a plate of eggrolls
you were here?
well there you go--he wants you to know he is still nearby
only a day tripTO and a long one at that--came home and went to bed
wow sure it was, i worked from 11-11 last ngiht
about a month after my husband died, a women that we didn't know well spoke in the middle of Meeting for Worship that my husband had just told her to tell me and the meeting that he was fine
all 200 of us were shook up but she was a retired science teacher and said she asked why he told her and she said he said it was because she would rise and speak in meeting about it
when she died many years later at the age 84 it was one of the last things she spoke about
there are more things horatio . . . . .
my brother said my mother came to him the night after she died and told him everything was all right. he instantly felt better.
bye all
bye TO hb
i need a new icon--this one is boring me
brb
like i said...this dream will be of comfort....just..right now..i feel like i miss him even more than before... ok...enough...
Well, to look on the bright side, people pay psychics to get the connection with a loved one that you are already open to, Carlee.
:)
i could not believe it--a friend of mine in Houston took me to a fortune teller and I sat and listened to a bunch of vague references for 15 minutes and then she had the nerve to charge me $50 and this was 30 years ago when that was real money!
My boss went to a psychic after her husband died and was impressed by things she was told that could have been easily looked up on the internet.
i went to a psychic as a teenager... and..strangely enough things she predicted have come true
My issue with that is, did they come true because she saw them, or because you believed them, thus the self-fulfilling prophecy
well I am sure fortune tellers can do a better job now with the internet -- "sorry the spirits are telling me to go to my back room for a minute"
Oh, they can be hooked up with an ear piece from someone in another room who is feeding them information
or did they come true because the were vague enough and likely enough for a person in your situation?
2 kids... no travel for first part of life... divorce...money issues... they are only NOW coming true...
i actually used to cast horoscopes (for money) and read palms (for fun)
some 30 years later
how many marriages end in divorce and what is the average family size?
now...russel whats his face on the fb ..daily video horoscope...he has been OBSCENELY accurate for me...
but this was 30 years ago when she said this
and who doesn't have money issues?
30 years ago i would have predicted the same thing--the average family size was 2 children and most marraiges end in divorce
well...she did mention a second very happy marriage with travel... so... i guess over the next 30 years we will see if she was full of crap...or...
trust me as a former horoscope caster--it is easy enough
Yeah, those are pretty vague, easily to become accurate, predictions
( also...i am remembering back 30+ years )
well i hope that part comes true carlee
great book: mistakes were made (but not by me)--talks about how we change our memories to suit what we need
talks about a lot of other things too i really loved this book
I refer to that as "selective memory" and I know people who are champions at it.
somewhere i have a cassette tape of her....i should try and find it and listen
actually some people remember things that never happened molly and it is practically universal as most attorneys will tell you from "eye witness" accounts
it was an hour reading...
when i was the eye witness of an armed robbery i said they got in a brown car and another witness said blue--the cops said blue and brown were often mistaken in car colors because they were the same intensity
the car was blue btw
but i was right about the gun
then..we had a friend who read tarot cards..one afternoon she did my mum and i ..and since that day she has never done a reading since....she laid out cards....and there was a death right beside mum, an officer type person nearby..another man, injury, legal issues/ lawyer and money....then she did mine...and all of the same aspects were close by but not as near...
<==read tarot cards too
so from that we will conclude your mother dies in a car accident and you get gobs of money from the court case
the mext week my grandmother fell ..broke her hip...went into hospital...mum's boss got her a special parking permit to park close tot he hospital ( he was a physician ) as when she finished work could not get near for parking...grama died a week later... and a friend of my mum's a police officer..moved into grammas house as caretaker until the will was probated... and mum was named executor in the will
poor ann still wont read cards... she was so freaked out...
well the fact is that the reading could have been applied to any number of situations and that is how people get convinced
we forget the things that didn't get born out but remember the things that appeared to be and therefore we feel it is proved
it didnt bother me...or upset me..or my mum for that matter...it upset the woman who read the cards for us
and as it all happened within a week..she was really freaked out
i do recommend that book carlee--it talks about that issue as well
okay i am off to my daily photo of the back of my house. day before yesterday is my new icon
its ok jmc..i am not a big occult fan... its just fun...
and i am NOT liking this grid....i have only found 68 words
it's a juicy grid for a saturday.
i think i am going to try for sleep again...
3 hours is not going to cut it
night night all
good morning everyone:)
sleep well.
My real surname is in this grid- in the proper Hebrew spelling.

stupidest thing I have heard of lately- no sales tax this wweekend in Massachusetts.
We of course don't need the revenue.
Because our schools have plenty of money and the bridges aren't falling apart.
lol,the U,S is on fire and at a point when taxes should be raised so that china does not end up owning the whole thing and they are having tax free days??..jesus wept
Anything so we can save a few bucks on our gadgets.
good thing all the gadgets come fron china eh?
i think that is what china is thinking.if they call in their marker on the on trillion they loaned out, they would have no market to sell the junk to:)
maybe they will take it in trade for one of the states:)
we up here are also hustling like mad to get rid of what we owe to outside interests
lol,if not they can have quebec! hehe
a 5 and a 6= heart valve in reg spelling and latin for the 6

the tax free days are to help people with back to school shopping.
not to butt in, pardon me.
Not butting in, that's a good point. People with several kids appreciate the tax break, I'm sure.

Molly, if you're still here - I caught a raccoon last night. Uhg.
hi judi. i've caught raccoons (when I was trying for groundhogs) yes ug. (it was much too big)
what are you trying to catch?
Dorens - I am trying to catch my missing cat. That raccoon barely fit in the trap. An it shredded the plastic cups that were filled with food and water.
oh. sorry about the cat judi? why are you trying to catch it, don't you think it wants to come home?
i have a cat who often disappears in august.. once for nearly a month!! was so surprised when she finally showed up, and also happy! Good luck
She disappeared 11 days ago. I fear that she was taken by an animal, but I have to try.
i understand your concern, but I would assume that when and if she is ready, she will show up at your door, don't think you need to trap her. unless you think she doesn't want to come home?
sorry to hear judi, hope things work out
If she's still out there, I'm sure she wants to come home. She is only a year old and not used to being outside.
am sending message to the cat that she should go home to you!!
*Sending a message with Dorens*
Thanks. I'll take all the help I can get.
puddy esp.. who knew?
i was all set to replace lucy, was thinking of going to see rescue kittens when she came home and i had really not expected that, so don't give up hope.
ru, is your icon in honor of the petition?
the petition? uh.?
what petition?
I thought all this time that Bert and Ernie were just roommates. My innocense is shattered.
Kittylepathy
lol molly
oh.. there is a petition going around trying to get sesame st to have bert and ernie marry! (now that it is legal in nyc for gay marriage)/ Sesame st has issued a statement that they are PUPPETS.. and therefore have no sexual orientation.
I will NOT sign that petition. Ernie and Bert are NOT gay.
oh..didn't know that
Good for Sesame Street. Some whack jobs will do anything for attention.
in that case I'm in favor of them marrying..it's about time
it had never occurred to me that they were gay. maybe something wrong with me
it still amazes me how the states make such a issue out of same sex couples..i mean good grief, dragging bert and ernie into the fray?
I think it would send an incorrect message to children to assume that all single sex roommates are gay.
Probably because we were kids when we watched it and didn't even know about such complicated things as same-sex partners.
same here molly!! i mean.. aren't they kind of patterned after felix and oscar? I
crossy...saw a bouquet made of bacon the other day...it was beautiful!
That is exactly who they were patterned after Dorens.
if ms piggy was hitting on me I'd probably be gay too
*snort*
nope judi -- i must be older than you. i knew well enough about homosexuality when sesame street was first aired..
and ms piggy would certainly hit on ruru!
LOLOL
If Sesame Street wants to introduce a gay couple, I think they will do it from scratch, not turn established characters into something they were never meant to be. I'm still not over the whole "Dumbledore is gay" thing.
Yeah, ruru. You're total pig bait. ;-p
may I have a stat for a 7 for nbt & nbs so I can get to working
With miss Piggy it's a fine line between hitting *on* and just plain hitting.
Dumbledore was always gay; it just wasn't relevant to the story.
down there you can marry your first cousin in 30 odd states, but heaven help a same sex couple who wish to wed and fill out govt paperwork and raise a family like anyone else..i am sure the earth shall split in two at the least lol
i don't know if legalizing gay marriage ap***** to muppets
speaking of cats...ours made a cross-country trip with us and was NOT happy. When we got to our destination she disappeared for nearly a week. My daughter was so upset because this was her cat. We'd go out every day hunting for "Cat" short for Catherine. One morning she was in tears and asking if there wasn't anything else we could do. Helpless, I told her there are times we must do everything we know of and then we may just have to turn it over to God. So in the quiet of the backyard we bowed our heads and said a little prayer. Moments later, no lie, we heard her cat off in a distance meowing!
Excellent timing, Nonnie! Bet your daughter was blown away.
muppets is almost an anogram of strumpets doren
---how your mind works, ruru
ms piggy is a strumpet
Indeed, we both were. :o) I hope your cat returns home safely.
I see a lot of strumpets in SF
I have to go out and get a new cell phone today. I really can't justify getting an IPhone... but, I reeeeeeeeeeeallllyyy want one.
I disagree Vicuna. It was never written into the stories that Dumbledore was gay. It was something Rowling just threw out after she had written them. If it was important to his character, why not include it as part of what she wrote?
i'm tempted too judi
go for it judi..
Go for it, Judi. I'm hoping my current phone will die so I can get an iphone.
Ahhhhgh! Enablers!
ambiguity sometimes helps a storyline
that would be a little risky for the plot having a gay headmaster
<--- Still has ordinary, non apps cell phone and likes it that way.
Phffth. My last phone died well before the two-years was up. I ended up having to go back to using my 5 year old Motorola Razr. Still works like a charm.
<----app less
Maybe it's because I'm a writer. I find it cheap to "say" something about a character that you didn't include in what you wrote.
<-----having lots of fun with apps on my android
Waaaaaaaant aaaaaaaps.
<--- Doesn't play with her phone. Actually uses it for phone calls.
hello
hello wild
Rowling said it was always part of her knowledge of him. I'm a writer, too! And a writer doesn't tell the readers every single thing about a character. There's lots we don't know about lots of characters. And it's not like gay people are only about being gay. They are fully multidimensional and there's no reason whatsoever that the sexual orientation should be part of the story. But as a writer I try to know way more about my characters than i ever actually end up writing.
hey wildcat. baby yet?
<---- tries never to use her cell phone for anything at all!
not yet. she graduated yesterday though :)
terrific. much better to do that first, don't you think? what is due date?
oh yes. due date is the 30th
Precisely why I can't justify getting an IPhone. I barely use the phone I have now.
(Anyway, sorry to hop in on an interesting discussion and leave, but I must get lunch on the table. So, hi and bye, all!)
lol vic--I hear you there. My daughters get so angry with me because I don't even know where mine is at times. BUT I still want an iphone. Isn't that silly? :o)
ahah! then sorry for asking... will try to remember to wait until sept before asking. @judy... i assure you if you get one you will use it far more!
bye vi, nice to see you
My characters only exist because I created them. I would feel like I was gypping my readers (which is how I feel about Rowling) should I "say" something about a character that I did not include in what they read. Just my take on it.
don't be sorry. it still could be any time now. We're kind of hoping for next week. It would definitely work out better for me school-wise
It would be like telling the entire, devoted for years, Tolkein fans that Gandalf was gay.
I think Rowling only said that about Dumbledor for publicity purposes. That way, readers will go back and sift through every book looking for clues as to the grand wizard's orientation. Agree that something like that was totally irrelevant to the series.
hi folks, doren, beautiful baby picture!!
I totally agree Judi.
hi folks, doren, beautiful baby picture!!
ah that is true lisa, would be better. i just remember being late with one of my kids and so anxious, and so annoyed when folks asked all the time (however it was meant)
first ap7?
thanks j. that's rachel with jeremy's daughter, several years ago. had a great time with you last week
my computer is acting weird - internet connection off and on, hope to finish this today
british sleep disorder
I'm so excited I don't care how many times anyone asks me about him. She won't go over - already scheduled for induction the day after if he isn't here
i'm on my way outside now. hope to see you later
me too, shall we tell our phone story???? (reading back and LOL about I-phones)
bye doren
yes tell it j.
bye bye dorens
tell it tell it tell it!
that's step 1 - then doren and I make plans to meet (had a GREAT time - lunch and movie) and I tell her I will definitely remember now to charge my phone so it will be ready the next day
phone is now in charger, and I'm on my way to meet doren with her number neatly printed on a piece of paper and my phone at HOME!
Brilliant, JBV!
uh oh...
good plan jb
First ap7 - first two letters of a falsehood, then finish with a nervous twitch.
so do I need to spend money on an I-phone? Not until I learn how to use the one I have :)
gandalf wasn't gay.. but I had suspicions about Sauruman
ty haz
We've all had those moments. This morning, for example: I paid for my bagel sandwich, then promptly left the bag sitting on the counter. Was halfway home before I realized it.
oh, I think my post got lost - you didn't see the part about doren's phone, neatly stored in her car, but UNCHARGED!
You're welcome, Nonnie.
hi haz
ahhahahaa...jbv thanks for sharing!
hi haz
Hi, Haz!
Hello ,ruru, Judi, JBV and everyone.
Helpful hints: Store numbers in your phone, that way you have to HAVE it to make a call, always keep a car charger with you.
Hi Haz.
good morning, everyone :)
hello nan!
Hello Nan
Hiya, Nan!
helpful pre-hint: learn how to store number in phone, remember where you put the phone instruction manual
I have a photographic memory of phone numbers.. it's really scary sometimes
Well, I have to go do something constructive now. (Like buy a cell phone). BBL. *POOF*
I phone i phone i phone
me too, ru, I can remember the numbers, just sometimes forget to take the phone with me!
bye bye judi and good luck with your new iphone (smiling)
lol JBV
Ru, so did my ex. He could tell you what his phone number was in the house he lived in when he was six.
yeah me too
my sales reps call me instead of 411 for their account's phone numbers
I should start charging for the calls...lol
I can remember the first one, because it was the first phone number I learned (rote memory). Other numbers elude me. And I am old enough that my first phone number started with letters. : O
lol ru
i will give you a fast phone story :1968 we had a party line phone with 3 other familys but were modern otherwise as we had one of the new regular numbers and not something like Ea5256. but each of the 3 families had a different ring so you did not pick up on anothers call. well one christmas we made the call to the uk to with my grammy a happy chrstmas..first you dialed the overseas operator that was a 011 prefex, then the country code number, then the home number.the operator came online and verified your number then you would hang up and wait for her to call back telling you that she had your party(that could take up to 15 min)now she calls back and you are told to go ahead(this was using the inter-continental undersea trans-oceanic cable and it had a 7 second delay! so you would say "hi grammy!" then count out 7 full seconds till you heard her answer.was so amazingly expensive we were limited to exactly 5 min and had all our questions written out beforehand..lol..now we can grab our cell and call dubai in 10 seconds.easy? yes,but something that was talked about for weeks and an actual event is gone:)
ours did too molly and we had party lines when growing up.
TKRA KC
Oh wow, I forgot about party lines.
great story, crossy - kind of like hanging around by the mail box waiting for a letter - those days are gone, but now we have SKYPE !!! I love it!
crossy loves skype:)
Oh crossy, that brings back fond memories...while on Okinawa in the early 60s, I got to talk to my grandma once. We had to say "over" after every comment or question.
lol! nonnie,we used to do that at the cottage, everyone had no phones but single side bands or ham radios and we used to have to say over or clear when done
I remember talking to my boyfriend when he called once from Vietnam (1968) - very unsatisfactory phone call for that reason - delay
I don't believe there are 7 c's on the right side.
There are and I have them all. Mwahahahaha!
oh no
lol molly
what lovely memories
ty for sharing
al 6/30, please?
it brings so many to mind
dont have
Well...my laundry is calling my name so I best be going. Hope to catch you all later.
al + word that SOUNDS like the first part of the word psychology

Hello everybody :-)
Oh you're right on time. I'm making pork roast and Colcannon.
Hello i just guessed an 8 letter word
Oh, Yum, Moll. I love colcannon AND roast pork.
Good for you onyx!
Yay for onyx!
Hey Molly, Germantown? I went to U of MD
Good school. One of my sons is a graduate.
Yeah. Kinda hope mine might want to go there.
<----- Would love to be joining Moll for dinner tonight. Would take a bumper bottle of Tullamore Dew, and kiss my liver goodbye!
I would like that too , bring a bottle of apricot wine
Hmm. Never had apricot wine, but would be more than willing to sample it! :-)
had a sip of it the other night. not to sweet an aperitif
If its got alcohol in it, and it is in liquid form, you may be sure Soodle will like it.
*Raises a shot of Tullamore in Soodle and Onyx's direction*
i love wine, but unfortunately i get allergies to it, don't know if it is the alcohol or the grapes or the fermentation. no fun though
Tullamore? Irish whiskey?
First raise, as usual, went to the kids and the ancestors. Slainte!
Yes, Irish whiskey. Originally distilled by Daniel E. Williams, hence the name (initials) DEW.
LOL. Onyx...... Molly and I are awaiting a significant lottery win. When it happens (as it surely will), we are going to get together.... here in Ireland. Molly is going to be my guest of honour! (Now all we are waiting for is the lottery win....)
I am grateful in advance for my abundance, Amen.
I am off to the movies
Enjoy, Onyx!
Molly - what do you put in your colcannon?
Sweet onions, cabbage, salt, pepper, butter and 1/2 and 1/2.
Om nom nom....... Perfect!
And if I have leftover, which I seldom do, I add some milk and shredded corned beef and make soup.
I always put in a couple of scallions/spring onions as well.... and another bit of butter, or buther, as they say around here :-)
Good extra green from the scallions and never too much butter.
<--- Only says buther when she's had too much Irish.
Buther is bether!
What time is dinner going to be ready, Molls? (I'd really love a roast pork dinner right now)
Another 15 minutes on the tenderloin and it should be all set. The aromatic smell of onion, celery leaves and sage fills the air. Ah!
< attempting to return tongue to its rightful place in my mouth........
Dinner is always before six in our house. I have never figured out people who eat at 8 or 9. That's just too late for us.
LOL Molls, its 10.25 PM here. Far too late for dinner (but I'm still on my diet, so feeling really deprived that I don't have a roast dinner to tuck iino
LOL Molls, its 10.25 PM here. Far too late for dinner (but I'm still on my diet, so feeling really deprived that I don't have a roast dinner to tuck iino
Erm 'into'..
Good for you for sticking to your diet.
Blah! Diets suck! I reckon that by not joining you in the roast pork dinner, I should automatically lose the corresponding amount of weight!
And even more blah... this diet I am currently subjecting myself to is an alcohol-free diet. I think I wanna be fat....
Hey all. I am back on a diet of sorts, but really, for dinner is asparagus, salmon, mushrooms, some nice bread and a curry type sauce. i dont feel too deprived yet...
Ooooh Red. That sounds lovely. Beats the hell out of my crisp-bread and cucumber offering this evening.
I do like cucumber.
In small doses, cucumber is grand. As a staple for the last 3 weeks, it is rapidly losing its appeal... :-(
soodle, you need a different diet.
But.. on the plus side, I have lost 17 pounds in the last 3 weeks. My trousers almost fell off me today at the recycling centre. I wasnt sure if I was horrified or delighted!
Good for you Soodle. Although I agree, you need a different diet.
well my pantsremain in place....lol.
Soodle, you are taking a vitamin or something along with that bread and water diet, aren't you?
Molly - I am almost OD-ing on cod-liver-oil, calcium, and multi-vitamins.
Okay, let's see...the "mail" will move, the bones will not get brittle and the rest of the body gets nutrients. All good.
But, thanks very much for asking, Molly. (((()))))
We don't want you wasting away lass.
drink some skimmed milk, its low cal and packed with stuff...
Molly - I am salivating at the thought of your dinner....... Sheesh...
oh me too, though the salmon is quite satisfying.
Good grief. Theres a whole lot of Soodle! Not much hope of her wasting away!
at clues?
I love salmon. It's my favorite fish.

hi all here for a minute before i go to a too early dinner and hear the kenyan speak again
hey, jmc!
hi jmc.
You sound less than enthused JMC.
i am not enthusiastic but i will go
i am one of those people who eat at 9 or 10 :-(
and i have to pick up a person who is difficult to deal with and the kenyan and take both of them.
jmc, you are so GOOD!!
*Places tiny, sparkly halo on JMC's head*
O:-(
hands jmc brownie points, made of brownies.
LOL!
Maybe eat light at the dinner and have something nice later tonight?
Lordy, Lordy, Lordy. You diet to the point of starvation (not) and then Molly makes up a song about you. Sheesh
*puts brownies in purse*
Makes up a song? *Keels over that Soodle has never played London Bridge*
yesterday went to two things and was feed salad at them both and nearly died from hunger!
okay i am off i hope to be back later
later!!
Of course I have heard London Bridge is falling down, Molls - I just never heard the Soodle version of it!!!
Bye JMC
hello again, just came back from my niece's baby shower
hey, annie! Bet that was fun!
Oh good. *Takes "worry about Soodle's deprived childhood" off the to do list*
hi annie, thats nice.
Hi Annie, how are you feeling? Cold all better?
It was and she received lovely gifts.
cool :-)
Hi Molly, red, cold all gone.
Good to hear Annie. Mine is hanging around like an unwanted house guest.
hands molly some nice tea and cold medicine.
Molly, Freeze it out. Are you feeding Soodle a lovely Irish dinner?
Hello M
Hello Annie.. Its unusual to see you this time of day.
Thank you Red. Annie, I am, vicariously. Our Soodle is on a diet.
Hi Soodle, I am usually on in the morning but I'm trying to finish this monster
Gaunt, haggard and starving Soodle makes a guest appearance..........
Quick, Molly, feed her!
Sorry - Given the situation in Africa, that was not funny.
you know I am just hitting 101 words and am feeling slightly err, bored.
Now that I've made everybody uncomfortable..... I will try to restore some Babble banter.... So! How is everybody?
hi and bye!
Red, I get bored with the big ones too. 58 T words is overkill.
Oops, 63 T words.
Soodle, You have not made me uncomfortable. I know you were joshing and meant no harm.
((((Annie))))
No offense taken here either Soodle. I don't have a harsh, Mother Superior type bone in my body.

have not gone to babgble expert yet, but it is all messed up. the grid is very, very small including the letters and lots of blue around the sides. don't know how that happened. anyone else have that problem. Snags was on the other day and she ws having the same issue
it is very hard to finish the grid when I have trouble seeing it
There are a lot of new words to me in this grid tonight.
Have you asked Dr. God about that?
no, because the original babble which I am playing now is just fine. and babble expert was fine too until a few days ago. I thought it had to do with the resolution on the compute4r but nothing else seems to be have bee affected
babble expert comes from lickety tho not dr god
I've been reading your comments about your problem with it, but have no clue how you would fix it. I think Lickety would be your go to guy then.
I will ask lickety to send me babble expert again but he and mrp are gong thru lots of stuff now
in the meantime I have 136 words to find
and I never got my tim tams :(
ap 6/21 ??
Lickety seems to be posting the clues every day, so I would imagine he keeps up with his email. Couldn't hurt to ask. Did you see what I posted about how you can order Tim Tams from Amazon?
ap6/21...sleep disorder with an extra vowel in the middle
nope. wll check that out. when I googled them it said you could buy them at Target but I did not see any and the staff had no idea
Peri...FMitch has the address for Licketys software on her profile
thanks molly
My experience with international mail is that it comes very late, or not at all. Sometimes it never makes it through customs. Especially food.
ty lyn
well, ruru got his
and crossy and sprite
not getting the ap6
nm got the ap6
Peri, any chance the package was left at your door and taken by someone?
we get a lot of packages and they are left between the door and screen door. and someone is usually here when a package comes.
Well, the only other things I can think of are that it was not properly addressed or it got stuck at customs. And if it wasn't sent registered mail, there is no way to trace it. Shame.
it was sent air mail
any better with maturity?
did this grid get* any better with maturity
Doubtful Carlee.
don;t think so
hmmm... i still have over 200 to find..and i leave in an hour...i think..it is doubtful that i will find any more

On the bright side, if you just start typing gibberish in, you are likely to get a few words.

well that would be cool molls

Hello
Oh, thanks, BabbleRabble....I am still looking...your clues are great...my eyes are sandy from alergies ...still looking.
hows things out your way? was your summer as stinky hot as ours was here by the great lakes?
Peach...al + SOUNDS like first part of psychology
Have had a lot of rain and generally lower than average temperatures .... but not too bad a summer
*Hands Peach soothing drops for her gritty eyes*
Thanks, dear Molly.

anybody here?
Hi Jes, I'm here.
i am jes. wishing to see ruru so i can gloat about the wine i'm drinking.
hey, jes :-)
yay! not alone :) how's everyone?
hey, dorens :-)
hi molly. you drink your beer, i'll drink my wine. oh, hey une... it is français bien sur
pauillac grand cru 1985
sad draggon drinks only water...
1985 . . . wowie
Dorens, I figured pi5/12 was one of the first words you and Ru got. : )
it is the last of the great stuff ken gave me last year.
what should i save it for? but oh.... the flavor!!
sounds delish
*Splashes a bit of sparkling water in to sad draggon's glass to spruce things up*
on-call sorta sucks. can't do fun stuff... so the cider sits lonely.
made an omelet for dinner with goat cheese and my homemade ratatouille which had a tad too much hot pepper in it. why not have a great wine, i asked myself
well jes, i sure wouldn't want to call a vet if my cat came in all bit up and the vet smelled like a brewery
goat cheese as well! yum!!
but babble with us is fun stuff, isn't it? with or without imbibing
it's true. would be a bad bad thing for me to have to drive out to a farm call all tipsy.
so, water it is...
all weekend long, every other weekend. *dramatic sigh*
well i gulped up that omelet too quickly, so now am rationing out my little baby bottle (can never remember the proper name, but to me they are baby bottles)
Jes I didn't know you did farm animal work too. That is the heavy duty vet work.
so you're specifically on call for farm emergencies?
oh jes, i do feel for you
on call for any/all emergencies, une
will work on just about anything.
no primates, venomous snakes, or large exotic carnivores
trying to imagine exotic carnivore other than primates. kangaroos?
doren, yesterday i had a bowl of my veggie chili that was TASTY -- garlic, tomatoes, onions, baby italian eggplant, variety of beans, sherry, 3 different sweet peppers and a hot pepper, zucchini, etc. -- yummy if I do say so myself LOL
lions, tigers, bears, cougars...
Split? Demi? Fillette?
You must have some great stories Jes.
oh sounds great une. i like the addition of the sherry, i wouldn't have thought of that
our very own James Herriot!
heh. one of my friends dubbed me the "anti-james-herriot" because most of my stories involve crazy people doing bizarre or frustrating things, molly
i just picked up more eggplant from the farmer's market today, because it was just soo good last week. and heirloom tomatoes. but i'm going to virginia on monday morning, so this was maybe kind of silly
heirloom tomatoes and eggplant -- soooo good!
one reason i could see living in CA... being able to eat like this all year long
Oh Jes, I'm sure the people are a lot stranger than the animals.
exactly . . . amazing produce . .
une do you have a recipe for that veg chili?
i would trade you the red rooster cornbread recipe. soooo tasty
I just keep tossing in whatever's on hand . . . plus odds and ends from my Whole Foods pickup -- sometimes a single pepper or single zucchini, etc.
and a couple of badly dented cans of beans that the soup kitchen can't use LOL
the soup kitchen won't take dented cans?
Hello Babbleland
Are married zucchini harder to come by?
sounds good. and hello wht and babrab
guess what WF gave me Friday -- 6 lbs of fresh guacamole!! I bought chip\s to go with it and the school I give food to will serve it this week (with the 50 single yogurts they gave me last week!)
hey, wht
Hello
har har BR :-)
The single zuccchini are easier to pick-up.
hi wht
holy guacamole!
What about the single peppers? Hmm?
(small school -- 50 students -- very low income)
oohh the single peppers are muy picante!!
those single peppers could be hot
Hi jes. When my wife was pregnant with our first child we were visiting friends with a dairy farm. One of the cows calved that night and the farmer said we had to come out to the barn so Lynn could see what she was looking forward to.
jes, organizations are funny about dented cans and I don't want them to take them and then end up not using them
I hear the habanaros are harlots. : P
wht LOL!!
so comforting, isn't it, wht?
all tidy and quick and easy! :)
Well, all that came out at first was a single leg, so the farmer grabbed it and pushed it back in. My wife just about died.
i am still hungry
should cut up some heirloom tomatoes and smear them with the pesto i made earlier, right? better than cooking pasta
All I can say is that once you have gone through labor and delivery, you don't flinch seeing a cow with a vet's arm where an arm doesn't usually go.
He had his arm in up to the shoulder trying to get the calf turned around right.
There's a large family that a friend of mine works with -- 6 kids, low income -- THEY take all the dented cans I'm willing to pass along!
oooooh wht
eeeewwww
i have lots of families from my schools who wouldn't be picky AT all
gotta have 2 legs. doesn't work well with only one.
But what got her most was after the calf was born, he wrapped chains around the legs and dragged it around for the mother to lick off.
The story goes, I presented breach and it took two doctors to turn me around. Pity my dear Ma.
didn't have chains on it to pull it?
Dorens, it's amazing what WF gives me that I can pass along to the school for the kids to take home -- a week ago they gave me 3 cases of organic multi-purpose cleaning spray!
He might have used the chains to pull the calf out as well. I don't really remember.
no c-section, molly?
much easier that way, wht. otherwise you've gotta have your hands inside, and holding on4 slick, slimy legs
Not back in those days, in a military hospital. Oh, the cord was wrapped around my neck to. I'm a walking talking miracle. : D
Lynn thought the treatment was a little rough and the farmer said, in a couple of weeks it will be veal cutlets.
good lord, molly!!
This is why I believe in Guardian Angels.
We are all glad, Molly.
Aw, thank you wht.
Hey, Molly, how was your regency?
She has reigned with dignity, wht :)
I am so glad. I knew that she would.
It was a gas Your Majesty, thanks for bestowing the honor.
off to watch Tsonga v Djokovic in Montreal -- BBL *poof*
i don't have a WF near me une. But when i retire, i hope to do something like that. I thought you pick up for a soup kitchen or food pantry... didn't know you could get it for a school. I like tha
bye, une
Australian slang? that's now legal? whatheeff?
Jes, I can't tell you how many times I have yelled at this grid today.
hi all!
oh really? i was just about to do something like that myself molly.. 38 left and they must not be words. what is the australian slang?
hi jen :)
ar4/7
oho. i monkeyed that and have no idea what it is
What does it mean jes?
Fireworks. I wish I could say that I enjoyed this grid! :)
dictionary says is aussie for afternoon.
For some peculiar reason, it's the way they say afternoon.
yay griffums!
Congratulations Griffums.
Thanks. That was the babble equivalent of dental surgery...
and i am just getting started griffums!
Griff, you have brought honor to the realm of Babbleonia tonight with your perserverance.
I admit you to the Order of the Royal Pyrotechnics.
can someone help with the li6 after the silly li7/48 word please and thanks
li6...you have two outside your mouth + ink writing instrument

and i have no idea why i managed to mistake li6 for la6. i must be a dork
heh. yep, you caught me, dorens :)
Pardon me, I am somewhat blind from trying to finish this thing.
we're all dorks here jes. otherwise we might be doing something else right now, yes?
i suppose, dorens. :)
but what else would be as fine a set of company?
dorens - that's quotable!
indeed
this is not an enjoyable puzzle but here we all our on a saturday night what a life
Dorens, that is a contender for a Babble t-shirt
Hey, where I am it's still Saturday afternoon. not that i have any plans for later
well at least we're not alone. i remember when I first began babbling, and so these folks chatting, and wondered what kind of lives they had.... and I quickly joined them
heheh
babble on y'all and see you at the flip
bye grif
Good night Griffums
have a lovely ar4/7, griffums :)
Time to play name that country.

Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner.
it is
i'm confused....
Yes, Nepal is a country, located between India and China.
<--- Geograhically challenged
What is confusing you, jes.
name the country
When there is a proper noun or a country in the grid, sometimes people say "Time to play name that country" or "Name that proper noun". Nepal is in the grid.
Name the country that appears in today's grid.
ok. just want you to know that i have resorted to morewords, which is absolutely necessary to finish this grid, just having lovated the pl8 and think maybe my second glass of wine was too much
One thing about this large grid, I got to nbt much sooner than last night.
