diz are the ne 8/9words we should know?
nbt
Interesting... 2 variant spellings of a winter hat.
hiyee!
They're not commonly used words, MLFAN.
thanks
ne8,45 and the plural, ne9,60..
Hi melonheadjujube! That's quite a name?
nbs
WE 6/7 if not calle
called
nbt, nbs
I can't remember how I picked that name. I think jujube (my nickname) was taken, as was melonhead, so I mashed them together. It's an unexamined phenomenon of the internet. We get to name ourselves.
Haha. Why "melonhead" though?
Yes, this is true.
to 4,6,7,6,7,8,5
Chanukkah! Are you also Jewish?
There's several of us on here.
no reason at all.
I am jewish, but jujube is my sibs name for me since my name is julie.
I see. I'm Jewish too.
[in case you didn't catch that]
but are you negative? ;)
It's a joke... there's a story to it.
Read what I do... that will give you an idea.
So it's partially that, partially because I used to bitch about my old workplace in my blogs.
si 7/36
The work environment and the coworkers who drove me nuts... had to vent somewhere.
ou 7/36
Well, your a pundit, which takes a flair for the negative, and besides humor needs a soupçon of kvetching.
I understand. My motto is "I laugh to keep from hitting somebody!"
pomegranate juice, blueberry vodka and citron vodka is a happy combination, in case you were wondering.
Oh I'm really not all that negative. ;)
Am I, Seain?
Is it now, Seain? Must try that sometime then.
What isn't a happy combination with vodka?
dc we never wonder about you lol
overall, no not really all that negative.
pardon my homophonic grammatical errors "your a pundit" should be "you're a pundit." Of course.
Haha, exactly melonhead.
[laugh to keep from hitting somebody]
now, I must face this grid for few minutes.
yes, of course. Wasn't going to correct you though.
SE6
hi, melon, mlf, neil, et al
I'm killing it. Knocked it down to 30 and not going to quickly now.
Too quickly, even.
[typo]
dc did you get any rain today>?
not that i noticed, mlf
we got some but briefly
i have nbt and found 68 words i am out poof

evening, dee
hi dc!
did someone call an ne 8 and 9?? If so, are they compound words?
yes called, not compound
not compound
think wetsuits
ty diz... a puzzle for me so far lol
or laptop sleeves
Thanks, nan
A while ago, Volleymom... but does it matter?
ty, nan
ne8,45 & ne9,60
not at all neil ty and ty nan!!! great clue
nbt
Laptop sleeves, yes.
nbs and nbt wtg melon
anyone know what the other 8 is?
to8
And... that's a wrap.
compound to 8/80
to8,80
Well done, neil!
Yes, compound word.
Thanks, Jellen.
congrats, neil
do 6/21
Thanks, Seain. All the grids have been small and fairly easy ones since I started doing this almost daily. Hope there are bigger, harder ones soon.
smaller ones are often more difficult
I've heard they can be over 400 words sometimes?
Not so far, Seain.
oh, even higher on occasion
I wish I had written down the largest grid I have se 4
What's the biggest one you remember?
Yes Volleymom, so do I.
I'm curious to know.
The largest I remember was 536...
I recall around a 540 grid
Oh, that would be nice.
And... time consuming.
smallest I recall was about 29 words
Wow!
not seeing that to 8, but 120 down so calling it a night :)
15 is smallest i've seen.
last few years....30....599
That would be about 5 minute's worth of Babbling.
that was in a grid with 1 vowel.
hi dart!
Really, Seain? Not even worth doing.
Hi dart.
i remember the 599, quite a doozy that one.
ah -- found it!
Good, cybernan!
hi volley neil.....haven't peeked at likety yet...but he has the stats for the last 1900 grids or so
I haven't either.
lickety
I rarely list.
Oh, where?
In the Lickety's Clues page?
indeed, neil
yes
Oh yeah: Largest Word Count 599 words 10300 02 Nov
se 6 x 4 so far
Did you do today's Sudoku puzzle, Seain?
i'm horrible at sudoku.
Oh? I noticed you're a member there too.
ditto that dc... our daughter loves it, but it drives me crazy
i gave up in frustration. i did start it.
I'm an addict.
i even finished one earlier this week, which is unusual
The new puzzle is up there of course... rated "Expert". Just going to tackle it and see how it goes.
Oh yes?
i am a member there, and lately i've at least started a number of them.
good luck with it neil
buena suerte
Thanks, Volleymom. If you log in there Seain, we can add each other.
hi everyone, late flip
evening, flosey
has jilli come in yet?
hi flosey; haven't seen her yet
maybe attending to kitchen duty first
more like martini duty..lol
lol
I'm gonna pay for that one later
hi ru lol
I'm sure you will, ru
yay martinis!
Sapphire Martini, twist is a fave of mine.
evening, ru
sounds pretty dc! is it actually blue?
the bottle is, the gin is not. Sapphire is the high-end gin from Bombay
ok... what is the difference between a martini and a cosmopolitan
oh, yes, am familiar with Bombay gin
cosmo adds fruit juice, specifically cranberry and lime
I like cosmos, but I don't think I have ever had a martini
but I
hello all a bit late
I've never been big on martinis or manhattans
cosmos are too sweet for my liking.
hi jilli
I had a blue one once... no clue what was in it, but it was yummy
evening, jilli
blue curaco
i like martinis and rob roys a lot
I like just plain vodka on the rocks with a slice of lime.
howdy dc.
I think that's it ru... sounds familiar
what is in a rob roy
nice shirt and wroteup, flosey!
that's nice too, maybe with a splash of tonic
my alcohol consumption these days is almost nil - just a bit in a glass to be sociable
writeup
*writeup, sigh
hi woowoo
thanks jilli, nice shirt
come to think of it...brb with a nightcap
agree flosey... doesn't work well with my meds, but occasionally my favs are coffee and bailey's, a perfect margarita, or a pina colada...
that's it, Dee
need to save my liver, so my meds can't mess with it LOL
I made pina colada ice cream (no alcohol) and grandson loved it
oooh that sounds yummy
with coconut milk
sounds yummy, flosey
a coconut milk thai iced tea ice cream is good, too.
used to love wine - we could get it without sulfites, but now most of them have them ... they make me itch and not breathe very well... but good wine is good, too.... I don't think I have ever tied coconut milk... I'll have to check that out
very simple, just can of coconut milk and can of frozen pina colada mix
that does sound interesting dc
both sound interesting
w/out sulfites is still available, but you really need a Whole Foods or other natural store to find them easily.
assuming groceries can sell wine where you live, that is.
our daughter tries to get them for me in Indy... nice treat
nowhere in Canada dc
you can also take benedryl before you drink wine dee. that will help
isn't Chilean wine sulfite-free?
no
how much do I take ru?
thanks, ru
2 X 25mg ( two pills dee)
I'll write that down
try them without wine first.. they might make you sleepy
sleepy might not be bad lol
take two pills about 40 minutes before you drink a glass of wine and see if it helps
people take Benadryl as a sleep aid. it leaves me wired, with is the usual atypical reaction.
thanks for the info
usual for that drug, that is.
isn't much that makes me sleepy, so I understand dc
nbt
I can sleep sitting up
wtg flosey
ty Dee
wtg flosey
tks jilli
don't have any biggies though
nothing bigger than a 5
well .. they aren't re's
hi ruru.
hi neil..
ne 8; 9; to 8
:)
thanks ru, will look for those
hello neil
re 6 x 2 and an re 7
to8,80 -- compound word.
hi jilli.
what does the ne 8 relate to?
thanks neil, looking
Ummm... think laptop sleeves/covers?
nan gave great clue for the ne's... material for wetsuits... or what neil said
the 9 is a plural
thank you neil and dee..and I used to be a diving instructor.. jeezus
Haha!
Fish, ruru?
wow another talent, ru
got it, thanks neil
no Scuba instructor
I went scuba diving in Thailand this past spring. That was a wonderful experience.
ta dee and neil
yw
I don't kill things.. I never got into fishing
Found a shark. Punched it in the nose and exclaimed, YOUR REIGN OF TERROR. IS. OVER. (underwater of course).
i grew up fishing.
diving is wonderful.. a beautiful world
I don't fish either.
fireworks... last stupid word was wr 4 bird
congrats, dee
uh how big was it neil..?
haven't fished in decades, though.
Hooray for Dee!
wtg Dee
Oh, not huge but not a baby either.
and thanks for the bird
ty... come visit... you can fish in our back yard on the Tippecanoe River
thoughts for mrp, she's in surgery now.
sounds like you weren't hooked DC
I was ok... with instructors who knew what to do.
oh..
ooo ty for reminder dc. I forgot that was today.
Oh yes, Seain. That's right.
yw flosey
I hope she's okay.. she's been through so much lately
I don't know how she can take it all, and still be so cheerful in here
we have dee and Seain in the grid tonight
LOL ruru. it was a wonderful many years on Chautauqua Lake with my grandfather :)
sorry.. I didn't mean to bait you
I so agree ru.
:D
They fish in our river for a huge fish they call Walter... isn't that from On Golden Pond...
Groan, ruru.
Don't start. Or I will.
the huge ones are smart...
looool
yep... we have over 100 lakes in our county, so fishing is a big deal here - lots of tourneys, book writers...
around here we have rock fish -- called striped bass elsewhere.
I think it was a young huge one.
Going to be huge, in other words.
we used to have fish in our pond.. but now we have a big fat blue heron
Haha, who ate all the fish?
I swear I heard him burp once
she ate all the fish... we also have blue heron here...
LOL could have... their wingspan is amazing... especially when they take off at dusk... a bit eery even
they look so awkward when they take off
this one is a blue heron sumo wrestler cross
i saw a blue heron for the 1st time 7 years ago, which is weird, as they're fairly common here.
wonder why it was so long dc... one comes to our backyard almost every night...
we had a green one living in the creek behind our house back in Ontario
friends of ours put a blue heron statue on their pond to keep the real ones away to save their fish..
wow flosey - I don't think I have ever seen a green one... ours are bluish gray
were the fish safe from heron out? now dee?
I hadn't either, wondered where it could have come from, we were almost centre of (small) town
I have a photo of a green one hanging in our family room ... from the Outer Banks, but I have never seen one in person.
What ru? Not sure what you are asking me??
i think they stick closer to the big waterways than i've lived, dee. First one i saw was along the Patapsco River in Maryland when i was kayaking.
lol a play on words dee. never mind.. I'm just being silly
Saw one in Bull Run on the way to my mom's last year.
there is a natural rookery of them about a mile from him... we think we might be a flight path...
awww gotcha ru ... you silly boy
I've never seen a green heron
They are incredible creatures...I would love to see a green one.
kinda gross when they eat a fish though
do it dee.. sometime otherwise you'll be face with egrets
regrets.. oops
I've had mrp very much on my mind today -- I hope we get news of her.
maybe lickety can let people know tomorrow
Haha, ruru. I have this mental image of a belching heron now. A FAT one.
me, too jili...
lol ru
Yes. I had a nice chat with her yesterday.
he has the whole place to himself
I'll be listening for the belch now what a hoot
It's probably like that belching frog wink on MSN. Sounds just like that in my mind.
since you never see 2 together...always makes me wonder if it is the same one every night, or if they take turns... not sure if they come to the same place always
LOL neil
you mean Glen Beck neiL?
You know the one I mean, Volleymom?
No no, ruru.
oh..yeah.. he's a toad
wonder if he is related to Jeremiah
good guess dee
lol Dee, now we'll be singing that song
lol
what does that name mean.. three dog night?
Jeremiah was a bull frog...
*throws water balloon at dee*
A very good friend of mine...
[or something like that?]
catches it perfectly and lobs it back...
was a good friend of mine
Jeremiah was a bullfrog, he was good friend of mine. I never understood a single word he said but I helped him drink his whine. He always had some mighty fine wine. Sing it Joy to the world...all the boys and girls now , joy to the fishies in the deep blue sea and joy to you and me. etc
yeah, that's it.
Hey, that song was long before my time.
a three dog night is so cold you need three dogs on your bed to keep you warm
Wine, flosey.
lol, I'm sure it was neil
I don't think anyone can drink a whine?
yeah.. and it shudda stayed there
Everything was before my time.
Haha, ruru!
Joan RIvers can neil
Oy vey... would you like some cheese with that whine?
lol, I copied it from google
neil, you're the same age as my granddaughter, lol!
Oh geez. Well I won't call you "Grandma" jilli.
lol now I will definitely have that song in my head...
*ducks*
Flosey, if you go on utube you can type in Three Dog Night and they have an antimated verson that will crack up up. Just love it. Thanks for sticking it in my mind though.
Please don't, neil!
Who's gonna hit you, ruru?
I don't see anyone taking a swing for you?
I'll do that later, thanks gapeach
I said I won't, jilli.
crossy hates acid reflux and sleep apnea:( but love to have babble to run to when the nights are long:)
You did indeed, neil
Might call you "bubbe" though. ;) [now should I be ducking?]
*ducks again*
hi crossy, I do the same thing
Yuck. Those don't sound like any fun at all, crossy.
<-- throws bubble bath at neil
Oh, I'm sooo scared. How painful is that?
they are not neil, they are pennance for abusing the body over the years:(
it's patchouli scented neil..
Oh well. That's not so bad then.
LOL ugh, patchouli
Yikes. I guess I should try to avoid that fate.
LOL I hate Patchouli oil
hello all. late flip
hi m9
hi mmmers
hi crossy sorry to hear... combination of prevacid and pepcid prescriptions... help...
yes, but everyone does... could keep people away, couldn't it? [yes I can be antisocial]
I was gonna jump in front of that bubble bath to save Neil... but now that I know it's patchouli I'm reconsidering.
Haha, Mary!
Me too. When we were still in the Montreal area and d-i-l was in BC, she used the vile stuff and wrote us a letter which still stank of it when it reached us via snailmail.
puts aroma therapy candles next to M9's bath
That's just mean, jilli.
wow, did she scent the paper before writing jilli?
I don't know -- she didn't know I hated it.
Oh, ok.
brb need coffee...
as bad as cigarette smell
I figure it might work like Deet -- only to repel humans. That could be a very, very good thing.
much worse, m9 -- and hi!
Bring me one, Volleymom.
if you could stand yourself neil!
let's have some sen sen while we're at it here.
the only bad thing is neil it brings hippies
Lots of young hippie types here waft into our library with it. Ugh.
Heck flosey, I was slathered up in Deet this entire past spring. Patchouli would be nothing.
ah, sounds like northern Ontario - mosquitos, black flies, etc
We don't need deet -- hardly a mosquito here at all.
Oh, well hippies aren't as bad as batѕhіt...you know, manic crazies. Are they?
can be..
No, flosey. This was in East Asia. Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, then Thailand again.
plus they play that awful Grateful dead music
true jilli, the bats and dragonflies eat them all
Deet on top of taking the requisite meds was a lot better than contracting malara.
And I live on a dry hill
Malaria even.
good call neil
that was some trip, neil, were you on vacation?
No, working.
Don't mention malaria here :-(
Well, fit in some "vacation" time too.
I am well aware jilli... knew him too. :(
I can't find the eg4 word for nbt -- any help?
okay.. I'm outta here.. I've not found a word in a long time
nm -- just got it
eg + to be verb form
eg + to be in spanish
eg4,6

thanks ru
the 9 is the plural of the wetsuit fabric
ok.. bye guys.

enjoying perfect weather but the rest.....
roses are flowering continuously, which is lovely
ah, not feeling well?
we are very lucky with weather here; it is truly temperate except for 3 hot days the whole summer and one nasty little storm
worried about husband
seems he's had a run of bad luck - starting with the dog attack
then his increasing frailty, then pneumonia and now he's becoming forgetful....it's very scary

sorted out....
yesterday morning, while I was on here, the police called and he thought his car had been stolen in the village
oh, just got back from a banana-milk break -- hello ruby -- sorry about your worries.
while I was online in here!
car had rolled down a long hill into the front of the post office, somehow, not hitting another car or doing any damage.
he thinks someone released the emergency brake, but I'm not so sure
oh dear, but wow, when you realize what could have happened!
I have to go and talk with the policeman, but can't do that when he's around
maybe you should talk to his doctor too.
ok ruby, see you later
I sent his MD an e-mail, but when I've voiced my worries before, he's pretty much ignored them, waved them away
persist, ruby!
perhaps if the MD heard about the car episode??
I'm waiting for him to get to his office now

hi sprite
how did the bananan split pie turn out
hey carlee :)
banana * even
carlee, it was wonderful! It was fun to make and even more fun to eat.
there u go!!!
i have alot of that type of dessert...
there another one..is like trifle... but is all chocolate
the only thing is, we don't have fudge sauce here. But with only chocolate it was also lovely!
oh...fudge sauce easy to make...
hmmm sounds good too
http://www.marthastewart.com/339644/ho t-fudge-sauce
oh wow, never thought of making it myself. Will try that!
ok..so..you just make a chocolate cake from a box... and you need chococlate pudding ( can use instant..or cooked from a box )... cool whip, hot fudge sauce, khalua and broken crispy crunch bars.... just layer with cake, khalua, pudding, cream broken bars....and repeat
u just cut the cake into cubes...
the crowds think they just died and went to chocolate heaven
wow :D You are gonna make me love preparing food :)
hummm..another one..if you can get cans of pureed mango?
what's in a crispy crunch bar?
hmmm...is a bar coated with chocolate with a crumbly toffee core
like layered toffee that if you chew does not go into a glom..it breaks down very quickly...i think has peanut butter in it....can use skor bar but i prefer crispy crunch
not sure about the mango puree. Would real mangos do?
butterfinger...is like a butterfinger
doesnt work as nicely....
sounds like they might be called Lion bars here.
hi and nbt
hi and wtg
i have made it tho so if you can find mango puree....mix it with mixer and 1/2 package cream cheese, and 1 container cool whip , some thickly sliced coconut and some crushed pineapple ( drained thoroughly to remove as MUCh liquid as u can )....let set up in fridge
need to use REALLY ripe mango and puree super smooth
( i got that one from teh pakistani ladies at the mosque here )
it sounds awesome
it is :)
for the eid potluck am making a cake....( well 2 cakes )... yellow cake mix and as you mixing you mix in 1 can mandarin oranges....and bake... then frosting is cool whip with an instant vanilla pudding whipped in and a container of crushed pineapple...decorate with crushed pinapple or mandarin slices
*drooling over keyboard now*
anyway..i have nbt in 28... will come back later for nbs ...going back to bed now

Where in New Jersey are you from? I was born in New Brunswick and lived in Plainfield and Bernardsville; my dad still lives in Millington
i am from the southern part of the state, a town called turnersville, which is closer to philadelphia
Sue - more connections in our lives - i lived in Plainfield after college and my husband has his masters from Rutgers
ah, ok. there are several babblers from NJ
interesting, wv! We lived in Plainfield until I was 10 so my memories of it are dim (and getting dimmer...)
yes, most are from the northern part of the state.
my grandparents and aunt lived in New Brunswick and Highland Park until the late 1970s
Ah, good use of the hurricane in cluing Sue. : ) That definition isn't going to work for a lot of people I suspect.
Hego is from south Jersey also, angelina
good morning babblers
Hey Annie
well, the hurricane did make headlines worldwide - I read French and British news sources and they both mentioned it - but it is a time-sensitive clue
hi, annie!
ah, i didn't know that.
hi annie
hi sue, molly, angelina (havent seen you in a while)
lived in Plainfield in the mid 60s - moved to Fords after the riots there (Plainfield)
yes, it has been awhile, i still play, but mainly lurk when i play in here.
we moved out in 1961, teach, so we almost overlapped :-)
Hello kids.
hi, scrabs! No flooding near you, I hope?
hi scrabs
hello scrabs - time to be off for the morning and still need breakfast
hi scrabbs... I heard there was a 2.9 earthquake near Albany
bye wvteach, hagd
No, fortunately I live too far west in NY state to have gotten anything more than mild, brief rain. But my sister in NJ, with the Pascack Brook in her backyard, got a flooded basement when the brook turned into a raging, wide river.
oh my, not good
oh dear - I hope the cleanup isn't too difficult for her
Really, Annie?
sue, how is your father, hope he was not affected by Irene
aw that is a shame
Scrabbs, yes, it happened Saturday
hi all
or Sunday, now I am not sure but there was an earthquake
hi carlee
Good morning everyone
hi carlee
Carlee, congrats on getting into school
hi mom
Hi (((Mom)))
They are tired and sore from cleaning up and will spend $3500 on new carpeting. Their basement is all finished with carpeting, including a bedroom and bathroom. They are able to put it in perspective though--many people have it much worse. And one of her friend's has a 21 yr old daughter starting chemo today for Hodgkin lymphoma.
he's fine, annie, a couple of power glitches but that was it - hasn't eaten his hard-boiled eggs yet :-)
Oh, good for you, carlee....good luck
hi, mom and carlee!
Saturday, Annie. I just read about it.
and for those who asked about brescia... here is a short video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSdPyPd 1xN8
(((Annie))) good morning
Hi uusue
thanks mum... and annie
hi scrabs..sue
oh gosh, scrabs, that really puts things into perspective, doesn't it? One of my colleagues has a son almost the same age as mine who has been fighting leukemia for several years now
The chat log is busy.
hi, carlee!
carlee, where are you going to school?
Poor kid, Sue. Leukemia in teens is not as curable as in kids under 8-10 yrs old.
heartbreaking
i just posted a video of the college i will be attending...its canada's only women only university college
yes, he is really struggling - on an experimental protocol now but keeps having complications
nice, carlee - I am a graduate of a women's college myself
Any chance of a bone marrow transplant?
It is sad when people succumb to the complications of cancer treatment and not the cancer itself.
the architecture is very cool and the rotunda is inspired by the rotunda at boston college
I think he's had that already, scrabs, maybe more than once
Oh, my, Sue. Scary.
the son has a blog: http://kballantine.wordpress.com/
he includes some political stuff but also talks about his disease - nothing since January, though - I think he may be too sick to keep up with it
I noticed that.
his transplant was about a year ago
I will read through the posts later. Serious illness is especially difficult for adolescents because there circumstances challenge the usual adolescent thinking of immortality, invincibility, etc.
he's been quite thoughtful about the whole thing - he and his dad did a mutual presentation about two years ago based on The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch
At 42/125 I must get ready to go paddling at Allegany State Park. Then I work the evening session from 5:30---> ?
I am exactly where you are, scrabs, and time to go to work! see you later!
I followed Randy's story--book, videos, his website.
Bye kids! Enjoy the day!
bye scrabbs..you too
bye scrabs...
Ah, our beloved goose is back. Good morning, all!

oh and by popular demand ,here is crossy,s tidbit of the day!!
A young monk arrives at the monastery. He is assigned to helping the other monks in copying the old canons and laws of the church by hand. He notices, however, that all of the monks are copying from copies, not from the original manuscript. So, the new monk goes to the head abbot to question this, pointing out that if someone made even a small error in the first copy, it would never be picked up. In fact, that error would be continued in all of the subsequent copies. The head monk says, "We have been copying from the copies for centuries, but you make a good point, my son." So, he goes down into the dark caves underneath the monastery where the original manuscripts are held as archives in a locked vault that hasn't been opened for hundreds of years. Hours go by and nobody sees the old abbot. So, the young monk gets worried and goes down to look for him. He sees him banging his head against the wall and wailing, "We missed the "R", we missed the "R". His forehead is all bloody and bruised and he is crying uncontrollably. The young monk asks the old abbot, "What's wrong, father?" With a choking voice, the old abbot replies, "The word was CELEBRATE!"
lol
the old man didnt believe in God so he had sign on the wall of his study saying: God is nowhere. His little grandaughter had just learned to read so see said: that's nice grandpa, God is now here!
cute
hehe
They used that example to show how easy the monks could have made mistrakes
Yours is better tho crossy I like it

a friend of mine has been flying that emerites rig for business from dubai to jeddah HOLY cow..sweet ride
the emerites have got to be having themselves on... it nothing but a private jet for the princes of sand

hi mixi! thank you :)

oh heck this pizza is good!... and the local anesthetic and morphine injected into the knee is starting to wear off!
personally carlee, I would want to enjoy ALL the fabulousness of the emerites, rather than sleep :))
I can sleep in coach, but prefer to party in first/business!

hi stid!
can't DH and grandson amuse each other so you can attend to the important work of babble??? LOL
hi stid.
in a perfect world; DH would be able to do Suduko with Grandson!
DH calls for help with thedifficult puzzles in the paper
ah, of course! I don't care for sudoku myself -- you know there are some versions of that game that use images instead of numbers?
up to 32, only the O in the lower right corner is still blank *puzzled mama look*
begin counting stid.
Pl the first number
gah. thanks, ladies! LOL

thanks, mixi.
fireworks.
ne8, stuff wet suits are made of.
Hi Molly. Good News! I saw the doctor yesterday and he said I can drive and whatever else I want! (still have to use the cane for the 1st few steps when I've sat too long)
YAY, mixi!!! WTG!!!
So glad to hear that Nef. I know you spend so much time taking care of others. I was hoping you were taking good care of yourself too.
I TRY; but it isn't easy to do some days. Lately it seems as though when one problem starts to get better; something else goes wrong.
mental note: buy tons of butternut squash and make vats of soup. it is UBER-yummy.
totally unrelated: everyone i know will be getting butternut squash soup for christmas.
Hi EvaN
that sounds good today!
afternoon. :)
it IS good. i have had some everyday since i made it on saturday afternoon.
why didnt someone tell me sooner how pathetically simple it is to make??!
Well Nef, you keep making some room for taking care of you in your day, okay? You deserve it.
what's your recipe?
DRAT!!! time crunch again! BBL (I'll read back and get the recipe from chat if you post it, EvaN).
i chopped a whole butternut squash, one apple (all i had, but i would probably add more next time), one onion, and 2 carrots, all into 1-2 inch chunks. boil them in some vegetable broth (or whatever youve got) -- just enough to cover the veggies, but no more. i boiled them for about 10 minutes, but you want to boil until veggies are soft, but not mushy. then i took my immersion blender to it all until it was the texture i like.
easy-peasy, healthy, and super-tasty!
yay it is time for a babbicious lunch
whats on your plate today, jmc?
sorry was catching up with the chog
a chicken and tomato and sharp cheddar sandwich
tomatoes from my garden so juicy and messy and wonderful
So you did get some tomatoes after all. Good.
yes--not as many as i hoped but enough for sandwiches and an occasional gazpacho
nbt in 19 words!
i don't seem to be getting this graduate school life--i have no idea where anyone is
No idea where anyone is?
thats one hell of a kitchen remodel when you have to peel open the entire back end of the house!

It flavors licorice liquor.

ahh...couldn't remember what the flavour was....hate it!
thanks molly
ty molly
brown coloured balls that taste of it,,,,sweeties
Me too Kalia. My idea of Hell is a place where the only drinks at the bar are flavored with that stuff.
ugh
well maybe have to get used to it then lol
I like fennel flavor..it's good
well,if it is 50% by volume or better,i may be tempted
I'm not a big alcohol drinker anyway
purely socially
i am not a fan of the swwet syrupy drinks.i want my booze to be able to disinfect cuts, kill fleas and ticks and run small engines
so you don't drink it then crossy? LOL
lol
that list is for when i am not drinking it:)
I have come to a full stop with 39 left
it must clean floors and sterilize toilets also;)" that way i can have lots of it around and the mrs will not complain:)

Dorens, I keep hoping you will get your power back sooner than that.

congrats wild :)
Austin Michael

thank you
I changed my profile pic for him
Oh, so sweet!
lovely pic and lovely name
does austin live in austin?
just south ... but close enough for me to get there often
very happy for you... i just spent four days alone with my two and it was great fun (but exhausting)
thank you! I'll bet it was
were they affected by the hurricane?
no, they're all fine.. i'm the only one who was affected, fortunately
hi doren - good to see you here - power back on?
{{JBV}}
Wild!!!! Congratulations!!!
no i'm at a friend's house... and the flooding around north jersey made it impossible to get her! traffic is a holy mess
molly!!!!
hi ruby - I think I missed you earlier - wanted to know how your family is in NY - any problems?
thank you molly
What a beautiful name. I bet he is precious!
oh, sorry to hear that doren, I know I've been looking at photos of the flooding - horrendous!
he is absolutely adorable
here in new brunswick route 18 was completely underwater, fortunately I don't have to go anywhere :)
I haven't spoken to my sister yet but I'm sure she's fine
good, ruby
it is. my town is mostly disturbed by downed trees.... took me 25 minutes to get to the library ths morning and it's usually less than 5 minutes... so many roads closed and no way to figure out which ones aren't until you get to the end of one
I had NO flooding! so happy - but we did lose power from 4:00 on SUnday to 11: a.m. Monday - it was weird, I had just finished telling everyone that we were fine, no problems, etc. , then the power went out
Wild, enjoy every sweet, snuggly minute with him. They grow up so fast.
but that was nothing compared to route 287 (shoulder washed out by reservoir overflow) and route 80 (passaic river overflowed) and it is closed
Yes, I saw those photos.
i couldn't see any of this on tv of course
if your not a facebook friend let me know and I'll add you so you can see pics
JBV, that is funny. Right after I posted to you that it wasn't too bad around here, my power went out. : )
doren, I think I got lost in your neighborhood the other day - was going to Drew University to see a play, got totally lost and drove around every highway around there
it is amazing that a storm like that could do so much damage!
oh, you should have called me, i could have gotten you there (and my cell phone is the only one that works now)
you too Molly? so devastating - we were prepared for a long haul, they were saying 4-5 days, but they got us back very quick
what about your refrigerator doren? how are you dealing with that?
crying at all the lost food, what else can I do?
my husband has maintained, much to my annoyance, that the storm was no big deal. I am going to smack him!
but what about the mess? have you been home?
that and the cleaning it up are the worst doren. sorry
no ice available anywhere to fill the coolers anyway.i emptied the freezer before, so it isn't such a mess. i am home every night, just come out during the day to babble!!! (how sick am I?)
ruby, get online and show him the photos - it's really bad in some places
it's a big deal to those who were affected. the rest of us can only empathize
I've told him; he just makes dismissive gestures. I need crossy to come and smack him
it's ok - my son practically lived in his car during those hours we were disconnected. He had his iphone charging his laptop
ruby you always want to smack him, why should tonight be different from any other night? :')
he doesn't know empathy!!!
hahah, dorens
and you're not going to teach it to him at this point in his life
ruby, my cousins in Italy have called me twice to check on me !!!
that is so sweet, j
I know - really makes my day :)
OK, now I feel guilty; I'll call my sister....
no, I didn't mean it that way, just that your husband might take a lesson from his neighbors in Italy :)
Oh Ruby, if he were sitting for days without power, or mopping up huge amounts of water, he would know it was a very big deal.
where does she live ruby?
and picking up branches and leaves in the backyard - I've filled up 2 pails already, stopped to rest
oh yes, we had a lot of branches and leaves.... couldn'at even see where the patio began or ended
she is in Forest Hills and I just called her house and she is at an appt and had no problems
no forest hills didn't have any trouble
Molly, I've done that mopping up (at least 2 times already) so I know how lucky I am to have been spared
when Andrew came to Miami, my husband and I took the dog and stayed in the office on Miami Beach because Fisher Island was evacuated and we couldn't get a hotel that took dogs
it seems the construction project my husband had done 2 years ago has done the trick in the basement - it hasn't really been tested, but now I think I can relax
I think she was more scared by the earthquake
good husband, JBV!
that is a relief jbv, cause if it held today, i'm sure it will hold for anything. funny, I remember when you were doing that
we had a french drain put in and a sump pump, then refinished the whole basement -
what is a French drain?
After reading all the callous, sarcastic remarks from people on the west coast about the east coast earthquake, I have come to realize there are a lot of unfeeling people in the world. It's not all about how YOU perceive things. What seems like no big deal to YOU might be a very big deal to other people.
that's what I tell him.....
it's like a trench around the walls, so water can collect there and flow into a basin where the sump pump is
french drains work great... i had one in my last house... only problem was it was kind of shallow cause we rarely needed a lot, and then one day there was a thunderstorm that lasted all night long... and it wasn't quite deep enough.
that is very interesting; I don't know if they have them here
you know how people are afraid of spiders and snakes? mine is basement water LOL
No French drains in France. That's funny!
they probably call them U.S. drains!
fortunately, we're on a hillside, so it's only bad occasionally when water comes in from the driveway
France is definitely funny
it's the alligators, JBV
hi all
hi jes
hi jes
I guess it make people feel superior to belittle the circumstances of others by saying their earthquake, snow storm, hurricane, tornado, etc. was bigger and badder than yours. I don't know, I'm not into understanding that kind of arrogance.
there is no understanding that kind of thinking
imagine living with it, molly!!!
nbt
good night everybody
night ruby
good night ruby
congrats jes
fireworks... time to go check out email, etc. see you tomorrow (hopefully)
yay dorens!
fireworks here
yay teach!

Hello all, this is Mrs Crosshair . Crossy forgot to log out on my tablet
hi elegant
hi mrs crossy
hello mrs crossy, how're you?
I'm fine tanks, at Mc Donalds just getting ready to leave.
how do you like your tablet?
It's great of multi media but a ittle slosed w on the net.Just takes some getting used to
sure is light and portable though??
and it tends to skip back while you're typing.
is it an ipad?
Hello again :) Poor Crossy isn't feeling well so had to leave quickly. Poor guy.
hello elegant. you must be mrs. crossy. glad to have met you.
Yes, nice to meet you as well. And no, my tablet is a Asus Eepad.
ok. I have thought about one but, hubby bought me a laptop plus the desktop we have. Desktop is old and slow but still works.
lol this desktop is starting to show it's age but it still does what I want, Sims 2, Oblivion, Morrowind.
mine is an 04 dell and not very speedy, but that's a lot of years on a computer.
That is an old computer. This one was one we built ourselves.
really? I am impressed.
Crossy has built a few. One were in the middle of trying to revamp so we can run her again. He is really good with computers.
He must be. My step-grandson was going to take the dell tower and redo the whole thing, but it was more expense then replacing it with the laptop.
Yeah computers are becoming so affordable and the technology now is amazing.
just look at how small your tablet is....... stuff it in your purse and off you go!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep it's about the size of a hard cover book. It's a touch screen and is an amazing video camera for it's little size.
totally amazing.
it has been great chatting Elegant, but I am off for a break. Take care and hope to chat again......... :)
I'm reading White fang on it, it's a great reader as well.
for sure. what is white fang about??
I do have a reader but I also downloaded it to the laptop. I love it.
Take care, nice chatting. Have a good day. A wild wolf in the Klondike.
;0
It's from the wolf's point of view, it's a wonderful story.
Elegant!
This is a treat!
Phooey missed her by half an hour. :-(
hi all
hey, jmc
hi une
i am testing social norms playing this game on a public computer in the school library
yeah?
i am feeling guilty! haha
aaahhh, legitimizing Babble time, eh?
Hi jmc and Une. jmc the jacket arrived safely today and it fits beautifully. thanks very much. It looks great
hey, bugs :-)
oh i am so glad bugs! i am glad that worked out
Une are you where the storm hit?
noooo, I'm in drought-stricken Tennessee . . .
but we have a lot of Babblers in that general area
Oh my. The whole world is going nuts
indeed!!
<===hurricane hit
some places got a hurricane but worst hit places seem to be in the north when it was a storm
haha the guy on the computer next to me is playing a game on his phone
Babblers in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Massachusetts are definitely feeling it . . .
most damage is from flooding . . .
hi all, taking a short break from grading
not from wind . . .
hey, sue!
My old high school is in NH and I have been monotoring the chat on the link for old grads. Some have seen terrible devastion
hi, une!
sorry to hear that, bugs
and hi to jmc and bugs!
hi uu
so i am suppose to read about 12 pages by thursday and there is nary a copy of the book on campus
maybe find text online?
what book, jmc?
hmm i looked on the course webpage but maybe i could just google it
hi sue
Working with Conflict by Fisher, etc
hi babblers
if you are in a course, try the reference desk
i sent an email to the prof asking if he couldn't post the section we are to read on the course page
hi welki too
already tried the reference desk :-(
hi welki
thot you might have
i ordered it on-line but the earliest i am likely to get it is Friday.
jmc, there are some sample pages on Amazon :-)
http://www.pdfebook4u.com/working-with -conflict-simon-fisher.html
apparently the bookstore on campus only ordered 3 or 4 copies!
go, molly!!
we have it here, jmc, I could see if I can copy a few pages and fax them to you. Or what molly found.
well daaaammnn molly aren't you a peach!!
*throws kisses to molly*
our bookstore will do rush orders if they run out of books, jmc
They have posted a si** saying they should have it by next Weds. uu
hello all -- did everyone hear the good news from mrp?
no, what???
hmmm, when I look at what molly found it seems to be in Elvish or something (maybe Khmer?)
the problem was not dire -- some splintered bones which should heal if she keeps off that leg for a while.
hi jilli. how did it go?
I thot it was dire!?!
oh, thank goodness, jilli! She has had enough troubles for at least two lifetimes!!
she was on Babble after the surgery -- drugged to the eyeballs and heading for bed!
tx, jilli -- man, her bones must be incredibly fragile, eh?
we should wrap that girl in bubble wrap and cotton balls every day
good news indeed.
maybe you have to download it to read it?
I think she's had some trauma while refereeing soccer/football
thick human bumper pads
I tried that, jmc, still looks the same
*sigh* looks like urdu
rats . . .
jmc, can you receive a fax?
i am to read pages 91-123--could you scan it and email it to me uu?
thanks for the effort molly
see mrp's post at 9:34 am in today's chog
or you could contact my daughter, the reference librarian . . .
i can receive a fax--let me look it up brb
ok . . . back in a mo . . . *poof*
202-568-6193
bye une
Oh sorry, did that link not work?
no it looks like urdu there is undoubtedly some decoder ring somewhere
but it was a grand gesture!
ok, jmc, I will have to go to the library and take it out - then I can take it home and either scan it and email it to you or copy it and fax it to you. Either way it will be later this evening.
no rush whatsoever uu (well some rush so I can read it before thurs.) thank you SO much
babble solidarity forever!
I assume your yahoo address is the best email?
you can't get a graduate student to bring it to you?
yes that is the best email
the library is across the street, and I need my card to check it out anyway
so not too long of a trek? i am glad
it is always possible that, even though the online lookup tells me it is there, that the actual book is not on the actual shelf - I will let you know
no, it's maybe 300 feet :-)
jilli I just rea the post from mr p. Now I understand! great news
well it is still very nice of you to go to the trouble uu
i hate to start out failing to do the homework
ok, I am off, I will be in touch, jmc!
Hi all...
bye uu
hi jell
hi jellen. love your icon!
Bye, uusue...Thanks, Bugsaw!
i am not getting any of the AN words
I just have one an 4/4
well that is not true i have the licorice ones at the end
Oh, and an 4/8
the first an could be seen as a compound word
ty i have the an4/8 now
so could the 4.8
an 5/10 an +ne4/4
do you want more than that jmc?
ty busg and ivy maybe that is enough to unlock the door for me
yw
A axed
good job
:-)
de 5/16?
I don't think I would 'condescend' to clue that (de5.16)
Morning all
ty lynxxx for lowering yourself to me ;-)
shoot i already had it but not in lickety!
hang on, I'll just pull myself up from that curtsy
*offers a hand up*
that reminds me of a story my hubby's grandmother wrote about when she was presented to the Kaiser Wilhelm
(waiting)
the german girls were all a twitter because one gilr the year before had curtsied too low and couldn't get up and she was thereby ruined socially
the disgrace!
gmil was almost forbidden to be presented to the Kaiser because her train was 3 centimeters too long, but the american ambassador got her to a modeste in the nick of time to have it shortened
a different life for sure! haha
but Germans are still reknowned equally strict adherence to 'rules' - a virtue even
How is your kitchen renovation going? and has your son started any?
gmil was an unruly american--turns out there are rules for each country where your train begins
i was more concerned about keeping the hurricane out of my house what with my back wall being a plastic tarp
but i finally got the permit so hopefully things will start moving right along!
Oh! passed over OK?
my son is still on the road but did go check out the double-wide trailer we still own in NC
i bravely stood on the back of my house with an umbrella to ward off the rain
then i took a hammer and some nails and tacked the tarp down as best i could and went to bed
*shows pic of hair and dress blowing in the rain while hammering aw** *
is it getting spring like there?
very Spring like - up into the low 20's for the next week. Lovely blue skies during the day. Blossom/magnlias blooming etc. Has been very cold at night though.
Coming soon to a theater near you...the new sequel to "Joe vs The Volcano"..."JMC vs The Hurricane". Rated PG-13 due to suggestive dress blowing in the wind scenes.
Got to go, Stews eye needs attention. Bye jmc
yes the rain of course makes the dress wrap very tightly around my comely legs
bye lynxxx
Not to mention the come hither look in your eyes as you bravely stare down the storm.
especially with my long tress blowing wildly in the wind
got to get rid of the umbrella though it ruins the image
help with the first re word please
i trust it is nothing serious with stew's eye
First re word...to go back on one's promis
or promise
ty molly don't know why i didn't see that
perhaps because *I* would never do it! *straightens halo*
oh well it 25 and a long drive home to no internet :-{

hi mr p i hope you are feeling more the thing

hi nan :)
hi cyber
The bad news is that my hard drive died, so I have just signed my life away for a new desktop. The good news is that it has all the bells and whistles I've been wanting for a while.

cheaper? -- this one is costing me twice as much as the last one!
but did the last one have all the bells and whistles?
lol jmc, thats quite the renovation for a kitchen refresh.you chould of just reported it as hurricane damage and had the insurance company pay for the kitchen reno! :))
haha my cat sitter sent me an email saying that the back of my house was lost in the earthquake!

CROSS!!! I found some vegan "bacon" bits for our salad tonight!!! *bounce bounce*
hi stiddie

jmc, how did your house fare?
minor damage to my second floor floor and more moderate damage to the first floor ceiling
i just want bacon spray... I want to patent it and sell it!!!

bacon spray. hm.
oh jmc, sorry to hear that! did Irene do that??
oh well it isn't like i wasn't having work already
aw 5/18, please?
stid... I want to do it!! I really do!
I have to find a company that would take it on and invest with me.
hey, jmc, I have the book!

I know a chemist who could help with the flavour, and it would be in an olive oil base
woo-hoo sue!!!
hi sue!! ((hugs))

so now I have to figure out if my printer-scanner-copier-fax will in fact scan (I know it copies and faxes); if it does I will email it to you

Hi jmc.
hi, jmc! the chapter is scanned - now I am trying to figure out how to get it to you
it is too big to email (112 MB) so I am uploading it to my google docs, then I will send you a link
haha i was thinking of you when mcurl was saying it only took hitting button!
Hi there, jmc.
hi tean and lbd and jes
yeah, it took a little more than that :-)
i have gmail too
and i used to know where to park large files.
but the printer crossy suggested that I buy is really nice - I had to flip the book over every other page, and the software flipped it all back
same address at gmail?
yes uu
but a link is good
I was also able to save it as plain text just in case it turns out that I can't upload it at all, but it looks like it's uploading fine (will take a little while, is all)
also, since I am faculty I get to check it out for 4 months :-)
hopefully i will get the book sooner rather than later!
well, let me know if you need any more (assuming this works...)
what book are you guys sharing?
ah yousendit.com
ok, it's on google docs and i sent you an email on gmail with the link
a book i need for my class that the university bookstore didn't get and the library here doesn't have
ty ty uu you are a saint
our library had it so I checked it out and am scanning the chapter she needs so she can turn in her homework on Thursday
do not forget to compress the files if they are a tad too big to send
I'm not, jmc, but I am a teacher and always want to help students :-)
got it ty uu
yw :-)
crossy love the old winrar program:)
google docs will let you upload up to a gigabyte, crossy, which is a pretty big book (even scanned as a pdf)
very nice:)

May I please have a clue for re6-24 the 1st? Thanks
I am off as well. Happy Babbling
To go back on a promise Peach.
I have an re6/24 that means to go back on a promise, peach, but I don't know if it's the 1st
Our four year old grandson is visiting. At dinner tonight he told us that he got a new shirt and shorts at "the store that has all the people that don't move."
OK, I guess it is :-)
cute, bea!
it is, uusue
Re6,24, to have to withdraw a misplayed card in bridge.
The mannequins Bea?
Thanks, Molly....I have that one...it's the 1st re6.
Both or the re6,24 are variants of the same word.
Thanks sue.
Yes, Molly. Can you guess what store they were in?
It is the first re6/24 Peach. Different spelling.
And now I am really going. Night all.
Um...Macy's?
night, wht!
Old Navy.

hi has anyone seen river?
not in a while, i've not, TO, and good evening to you
hi, as i remember she lives in vermont, can't think of ay other babblers who do, off the top of my head
Ah, thanks much, jes.
welcome :)
ty, jes
did you lose power in the storm, TO?
no sean, lost a few heavy branches on sunday but all in all ok. and you?
power flickered, but never went out. It was very gentle here, not much rain, and moderate winds. 2 towns E of me got much more rain and wind.
only about 5-6 in, hard to say since the totals varied so much even in a small area
I'm glad you guys did all right. I hope all other Babblers are okay too.
only 1.56 inch in my zip code officially.
Vermont's in really, really bad shape. I watched videos of bridges being carried by water under other bridges, and a horse and rider crossing a flooded road to bring medicine into one of the 11 towns that are completely cut off due to flooding.
Poor Nef. You need a break.
who are our vermont babblers? i am so sorry my memory fails me. blue heron?
Molly, it's been tough lately. I don't want to talk about it right now; I DO need a break
I've seen those videos too Seain. It looks like a LOT of damage.
Riverdance is the one i recall, but i'm sure there must be others. I'm betting there's a lot of power outages there, too.
I can't think of any Babblers from Vermont off the top of my head.
((((Nef)))))
thanks
tough day nef?
tough summer, TO. But I'm here to get my mind off of it tonight. *THIS* is my break! ;-)
it's been much cooler since the hurricane went by. Weirdly early for this pleasant, though i'm not complaining. Here's hoping it's not a harbinger of Winter, though.
crossy offers nef some of his famouse long island iced tea...
hat is the verdict on this grid?
I wish I could drink, crossy. That sounds good
i am finding it a tough go T.O
tough, but not impossible is my assessment, TO
evening, crossy

The first de5 was one of my last words found - too many silent letters

At least you found it, Gwen.
Belated thanks, dc...
So you're not that de5,12 after all. ;)
Hmm... maybe not, gremlinn?

I was talking about de5/16
yup! lol
oh...wrong comment
I forgot about that comment
I found it easy, Seain.
I did it last night after it flipped... after doing this grid.
yes, you're much quicker with them than i am.
I don't know how they rate the difficulty of them, but I often find the puzzles don't match the rating.
that was my 3rd go-back to finish it.
i get frustrated after a bit and go away
Aww.
turns out i needed the break, it just all fell into place this time. I've also been doing reading about technique at http://sudoku.pauls-pc-repair.com/

So glad to hear that, mrp!
Your news in your bio, that is.
Do you have something to take for the pain?
found the contact request, but no message as yet :)
i have good pain meds yes! :)
Who's that to, Seain? I was talking to mrp there.
We're already connected on there!
Glad to hear it, mrp... hope they're very effective.

Sure is. I'm toasting you with my mug of tea!

I can imagine... what a relief!
meds are so effective, I occassional fall asleep on the keyboard! sorry if I disappear at times :)
Aww. No problem mrp... just don't do a face-plant on the keyboard. The key impressions aren't very attractive in one's forehead.
hahaha !! promise i won't!!
i used to fall asleep in my typewriter back when. usually the right side of my face was waffled when i awoke.
Ouch. Seain.

I love that picture, herin! It's beautiful
Sorry if I don't make sense
Sorry Ping! I'm here now.
Hi people.
I don't see any notice about that, Ping? What happened, didn't it work?
Hi NN - I tried to add you but you were no longer on my list
I don't know how that could be, if you added me?
I for one didn't break it for a change
Oh, I didn't add you initially, because of that privacy issue I explained in the message?
maybe that's it
I just sent a message to you, but didn't add you yet.
I think?
Yes, I'm pretty sure.
i will reread your message and try again
I'll add you now though, if you wouildn't mind changing those things?
Thanks! :)
i'll try
I would like to know why the goose is single but you can't have geese even though it is a word
Just added you on there, Ping.
Good question... about the goose/geese.
ok, getting me some lunch
i like company that goes out for me and does nice stuff like that
Enjoy it, mrp. :)
Yes!
You should be spoiled right now.
Enaable is silly
Lovely MR Pres
I think it's mis-named. It should be called 'disable' sometimes.
i don't think that is the issue... geese doesn't join up with the letter
The Hawaiian geese do, mrp.
ah, just saw that!
Hmm...Neil, have you checked my google+ page to determine that I set it up correctly?
I have so much to do an a big fat zero motivation
Uhhh, don't think so Jellen?
I'll have to do that a little later.
In the middle of something here.
taking off now - good to see everyone!
No problem...I'm reasonably sure I did it correctly...just had a pang of uncertainty come out of nowhere...
Bye, Ping...
Aww don't worry, Jellen. I'm sure it's fine... I'll check later. Not the biggest concern.
Right I have to go drag my behind of the couch to do house hold chores. Later gators
Bye, herin...
Laters
Just checked it Jellen... looks perfect to me.
Are you connected with my stepmom on there, Jellen? You share something in common... locations.
And a love of books... she's an author.
oh wow i knew i could figure out login details of my original babble account if i tried hard enough
No, neil, I'm not...
last time i did the grid on this account was the 2nd week of babble's existence
Oh, ok. You'll find her in my circles of course.
Her name is Amy.
wb, vorbis!
you might know me under my other account, with joshua in front of the vorbis
Wow, vorbis. That's a long break!
Will add her directly...
Welcome back, at looong last.
I sure do.
So I'll just call you Josh.
I have more than one accountn too, haha! I was cheap and made new ones, so I could see the tile stats... before I figured out if I'd enjoy this enough to upgrade.
Account, even.
This was the first one I made though.
i wish i could have just kept this account all along, but i forgot what email address i had signed up with ages ago
i participated in the very first grid way back in the day, and a few more, and then forgot all about it until a year or two ago
Fireworks!
YAY, Jellen! WTG!!!
Only 23 hours later than some people, but still...
So what, Jellen? You finished, that's the main thing. Congrats! :)
Oh really, Josh?
Oh, so you finally remembered which email address you registered that first account with?
Are you going to upgrade that account, or just keep using your other one?
Oh, he left. Oh well.

I have 40 left; I'm hoping tomorrow's grid (or my life) allows me to finish it
YAY, Min!!!! WTG!!!
Congrats, Min... and hi.
Hi neil, thank you! I forgot I had 4 words left to enter
Glad I remembered before the flip. Now looking for an endangered species icon for the next icon theme.
Oh, I see!
Icon theme?
I never do those.
I would if there was one easy enough, maybe.
That didn't involve any searching.
Like... posting a childhood photo.
Everyday there is a diiferent icon theme.I do them if I like that theme. If not, then I just do my own thing.
hi neil. I've had chat covered so I could try to finish; but too many interruptions didme in
I never do the themes. I love them; but I can't find how to do them and can't get here each day. I really enjoy seeing all of the other people's icons though....
It's really easy to do icon themes. You get the theme from Sprite's profile page. Then go to Google Images to find the picture you want.Copy the address in the address bar. Goto My Account on Babble page & click edit under your picture. Then paste the address into the first box. Sounds like a lot of steps, but it is easy.
Any guesses for the next grid size? I guess 541 words
173
Neil, if you're interested, here are the next few icon themes:Thu 01 Sep - Delftware (sprite) Fri 02 Sep - Take A Word From The Grid - then our icons will also be clues (harpjane) Sat 03 Sep - Lakes (sprite) Sun 04 Sep - Waterfalls (sprite)
226
I'll say half of that vanilla, 113
