kidding of course, but loved the music in Memphis :)
no it wasn't, Blue, lol

Today's icon theme is Guy Fawkes DAy, if anyone cares (cos did)
but Guy Fawkes is tomorrow....
Miss Piggy is on ‘The Tonight Show’ and Jay is asking her why it that she has looked so good for so long. She points out that all the "stuff" that women have injected into their faces and lips, all that collagen comes from her people. HA!
170 down -- good place to stop for the night -- see you tomorrow :)
new icon, - didn't think I'd be doing the grid but it's moving right along
rasta, this is tomorrow's grid

hubby
ach, typos -- tired!

yes, and lost a lot after that, we didn't have good cards all afternoon

except Mr Flosey, lol!
yes, of course, my partner
in life too

woops stupid internet page - I have had to change computers and lost lickety's babble - I have emailed him and hope he will have time shortly to send me program:)
tanja, the link is in my profile
Babble expert link is in my profile too.
Updated the icon theme list in my profile -- and now I'm really off again...*repoof
Thanks jullibus... I also changed computers and lost Lickety's site.
Having Lickety's site makes the biggest difference in my score... thanks once again.
morning all
Hi sprite
hey Dianne :) Haven't seen you in a while. Are you well?
Fine, thank you. Been busy at work but now it's Saturday afternoon and I'm just doing Babble. All good with you?
it is nice to have some relax time :) Yes, I am fine, thanks.
looks like a nice grid again today
Just add an S to almost anything - something I often forget.
lol yes... in yesterday's grid ALL my last words were forgotten plurals.
Me too :)
:D
good morning
hey ruby :)
((sprite))
another nice grid, ruby.
yes, I just didn't have enough time yesterday to truly savor it!
aw what a shame, it was a great grid for you. Lots of series and good endings.
and today is backing up already!
how are you feeling?
?
I am good today. And you?
feel OK but sad November....
just today or the whole month?
Nov is my least favorite month -- grey grey, rain and less and less light
tale
tales
talis
oh sorry
you can see, I'm kind of a mess....
I'll just slink away
ah I see :) Yes, it is a darkening month. I love Autumn though. This is the time everything goes back to its core... the tree pulls back its energy into roots and trunk, the fruits into their seeds and cores... it is a time of empowering too.
darn, already had all of them. You can do better, ruby, I just know it.
I never thought of looking at it that way. What a healthy and optimistic view! I can always count on wise sprite!!!!
just looking at nature :) And people are just the same, you know, if they listen to their hearts. This time of year, there is less distraction and we tend to turn inward, check our resources, let things condensate into their kernels.
That is very much the Pagan belief about this time of year, Sprite. It is the time that Nature draws within to rest.
when I lived in the NE and was exhibiting, this was the time of year when the shows started
maybe that's what I miss
{{molly}}
hey Molly :) Yes, Pagan is very much in tune with nature, I believe.
And it is a darker time, and so we bring the light within. In our hearths and in our candles. Hey, we even bring nature inside when we decorate with garlands and a tree.
very true!
I'm listening to both of you and maybe thinking that way will help me
it will. Especially if you burn a lot of candles and maybe a nice fire in the hearth, grin.
fires every day out of necessity!
OMG, tm 6/21 one of my all time favorite words!!!
It's so rare that it shows up in a puzzle :)
good! I love fires. Maybe if you'd try to really enjoy them, pull the light and energy into yourself, and not just see them as only necessary?
hello boat
hiya boat, indeed :D A great word.
Hey ruby :)
great word, boat, ty!
Hey sprite :)
I used to think the trees looked bare and lonely at this time of year until I read this quote..."overhead, frozen branches rattled in a brief visitation of wind and she thought: 'I am walking under the scaffolding of summer"...Ngaio Marsh
I've seen it before, but never think of it
Not a problem :)
very pretty, molly
Nice quite :)
oh beautiful...
Nice quote (not quite) :)
quite beautiful!
when the trees are bare, and they stand out so stark against the sky, I always feel like now I can see them as they really are. They often look like silhouets against the winter sky. I love that.
Here is a picture I took to go with Sprite's thought... http://tinyurl.com/3h9gtvm
Done for now. Laters *poof*
bye boat!
oh yes, exactly, Molly! Could have been taken nearby my house even. Beautiful!
you would love our maples; now that the leaves are almost gone, just a few remaining shreds of yellow, the branches are black and very beautiful
looks like I will have to visit you twice, ruby, lol. Once in summer, with the bats and the garden... and once in winter, with the maples and hearthfires.
you know you are welcome, sprite! even Burt says so....
Trees are very graceful the way they shed the old, remain at their core for a while and then blossom with the new.
the quantity of leaves, once down, is incredible
if you sit outside, you can hear them falling
espcially the tulip tree which has huge leaves
wow. Well, I'd love to. We will email about it, ok? :)
yes
so very true, Molly. They always teach me something about myself and living.
thank you ladies for your upli**ing words!!!
argh I agree! The leaves on the floor in our garden... it is incredible they came from the few trees we have.
I will use them today
see you later
bye ruby, tell Burt hi from me and have a lovely day

hey Sprite, got your email but when I 'google translated' it was all just some random words????
fireflies. Last word: ti7/28. Very odd. Good monkeys.
hey dizzie... I did not email you? I sent the addy of your g/d to my daughter. Is it spam, maybe?
I would never email you in another language than english anyway.
can I put up part of the addie?

it came from cass Van Dijk
good morning Babblers :)
that is my name. Looks like my addy is on some email spammer's li4 then... darn.
hiya sherb
sorry dizzie, pls throw it away. When I'll email you, I will put 'babble' in the subject, ok?
thank Sprite
I have emailed you... this is really me, grin.

bye sprite... have a good day :)

nice words in this grid so far...
and PB me for the th4 but I say it doesn't count.
We don't have room in the PB for all these misdemeanors
Morning Kap, did sleep help the headache?
good sunny Saturday to all
Morning Mom
morning Molly
No because I think it is more of a neckache. I have been complaining so long but I get stuck on whether I am supposed to go to PT, chiropractic, and also the ENT- too many appointments to deal with pieces of the problem.
Doesn't anyone look at the whole picture?
thank you for asking.
Our doctor does, she is a fairly new doctor. Very thorough
Does heat help it at all Kap?
my main doctor does, but then it's the referrals to specialists that bog me down.
come have an appointment with her :-)
Oh, yeah- have to slather on some BenGay.
My signature scent.
<---- love the smell of bengay
knock on wood ..... never had to be referred to another doctor
I had something painful in my neck once. The heating pad was my best friend until it worked itself out.
If they called Bengay something like Agony, it could be a designer scent.
Sounds like you have a great doctor, Mom. Wish there were more like her.
she is very good and the doctor in with her is equally as good.
Got my mom to switch to them, now working on my dad to switch
I think with all the malpractice suits flying around these days, doctors are afraid to treat anything that is not "in their area".
Aw, Andy Rooney died. And he just did his last broadcast. It's like he knew.
RIP, Andy Rooney
Yeah-he was 92. I would say he was guessing it was likely.
wow, I didn't realize he was that old
r.i.p.
vals
1097 televised essay. His last one was about how privileged he felt to be able to broadcast his writing. Sounds like a well lived life.
excuse me.
hope he doesn't have any skeletons in his closet like Charles Kuralt
Charles kuralt had skeletons?
after he died, his mistress was left some land as noted in his will.
first his wife knew of it
Hey, that greasy kid stuff is in the grid. But don't say it- it contains another word.
hmmmm, been a long time since I was a kid ...... what are the first 2 letters
vi.
sa?
Maybe it was the anti-greasy kid's stuff. hair goop for men.
got it
thank you
wonder if they still make the stuff
do they still make Grecian formula?
<--- note to self to look in the grooming ai*** for me next time I go to the store
I think so, Kap
*men
I almost had a good word but got distracted
All my men wear English Leather or they wear nothing at all .... wonder if that is still made
Take it off. Take it all off. There's nothing between me and my Calvin Kleins. Or was that Jordache.
I don't remember
When the boys were little, they are now 27 and 23, I bought a DVD of old commercials. It is a hoot. Fred and Barney promoting cigarettes
"It's not how long you make it- it's how you make it long."
That was a cigarette add.
Andy Griffith for Grape Nuts Alka Seltzer and Speedy
right, when you were allowed to hawk cigarettes on tv
Aw, Speedy Alkaseltzer. He was cute.
he was
Us Tareyton smokers would rather fi*** than quit." Almost caught myself on that one.
You've come a long way baby.
ah, the clock is chiming 9, I had better scoot
I think I still know all the words to the Choo-Choo Charlie Good 'N Plenty commercial.
thanks for that fi***, got several words now.
:-)
Charlie says love my good n plenty's,
Once upon a time there was an engineer. Choo choo Charlie was his name we here.
Hear.
Charlie says really rings the bell.
Silly rabbit.
Don't you know...
Trix are for kids?
make it a great day! (((Hugs))) to all of you. Kap, I hope your headache / neck pain eases up
does your shoe have a boy inside?
on that note, remember when you could actually use Sugar on the label for cereal
Buster Brown
Candy coated popcorn, peanuts and a prize!
And his dog Tige!
what a funny place for a boy to hide
Oh, God, here go the Baby Boomers downloading the contents of our brains again.
Cracker Jacks.... the prizes are really stupid now
All my shoes had a boy inside. I lived in Buster Browns for years.
Our parents were right about TV ruining our brains.
Who watched Sandy Becker? There was a subversive act. No wonder LSD got so popular.
after yesterday's grid I'm not sure if I want to do todays. But the chog is nice!
Hambone!
It's all on you-tube- the entertainment for the alzheimer's clinic.
That was back when advertisers were first figuring out how to brainwash people. And kids were their best targets.
And it worked pretty damn well, didn't it.
Mom, can I have a Chatty Cathy pleeease?
jmb - can't go wrong with a grid with an ight in it
morning all
Morning 2Bit
Good morning- we are indulging in our favorite geezer pastime- spewing TV jingles.
You can't fool Mother Nature.
Chatty Cathy got pretty sad when her innards started to wear down.
My mom wouldn't get me one.
I had the Patty Playpal though. She was as big as me.
And now I'm flashing back to that Twilight Zone episode with Telly Savalas and the doll.
OOOOHHHHH- creepy doll!
My name is Talky Tina and I'm going to kill you.
hahaha!
(that was oldfashioned speak for LOL)
Too many letters for the lazy fingers of today to type, Kap.
Took me 46 years to get a Chatty Cathy...stores were all sold out the year I wanted Santa to bring it...neighbor ended up giving me one about 3 years ago
I had a Barbie Dream House.
Oh Sea, I bet your inner child was so happy. : )
Niccceeee Kap
I hate the fact that kids are disappointed on Christmas due to lack of marketing planning.
I was delighted Molly, had her perked up by a doll restorer, she even made new clothes...she looks like new
I have to go get dressed- 80 left, which is about where I left off last night.
Morning. Seaspray they is so cool that the Chatty Cathy delighted you even after all these years!
I have a Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy in my "grandchild hope chest". They were my favorites.
If I had gotten that Chatty Cathy, would I have had a different life? Would I be happy now?
Everytime I chat I see that inappropriate icon. Will be right back....
Our destiny turns on such moments.
Oh it did red...good morning to you and everyone else
Would I be pretty? Would I be rich?
Whatever ...
I did however get Thumbelina and I loved her
washers off balance...brb

Good Morning. lets see if my icon changed...
uhhh no
I am struggling with this, last itme it would take either.
Yep, if you click on it, it's different. Sea, refresh.
Mine is still jacko. but if you say so I will leave.
I refreshed and now it's the new one. I think you have to log out and back in if it's your own icon.
ooooh, I never log out, I have no idea what my password is...
Hmm, try closing your browser and re-opening it then.
ok, refreshed now I did have a disturbing experience yesterday. Went to the oncologist with father in law and listened as he gave him what I felt was his death sentence.
I did, I think I'll just wait until it changes. SeaSpray that is so upsetting!
Oh Sea, how sad.
It was very hard to hear someone's life being measured in months
Indeed. Remember that it is never completely accurate.
Oh, definitely red and I told him that.
good morning everyone:) kitt has a clip in fb showing a father and son running a marathon..does anyone know the singr of that beautiful song that accomponies the clip?
sorry, am not on fb crossy
Sea, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope that you and your family can help each other make it through this hard time.
ty and we will Molly
That clip is on YouTube. The song is "My Redeemer Lives".
Nicole Mullins is the vocalist.

Good Morning from Washington DC Babble Friends!
Where is Trif? I have chocolate cake for her because she's in the grid. Morning Car.
She must be at home!
Chilly here today Car. Going sight seeing later?
It is in the 50's here...perfect for walking around! Yes! Heading to the National Aquarium, Air & Space Museum and possibly the White House today.
Have a great day car!
It's a much better time of year to do that here than the heat of the summer. Have fun.
Do you have tickets for The White House tour?
my heart goes out to you aND YOUR FATHER IN THIS TIME of turmoil aND STRIFE seaspray.i pray for your father and big crossy ber hugs for you
Oh Seaspray! {hugs} and love to you and your whole family. You will all be in my prayers.
No we don't Molly.
Matt is checking it online now...
That's okay, it's cool just to see it from the outside. Make sure to point out the snipers on the roof to your boys.
ty crossy, my father in law is a wonderful person (a good ole boy originally from Tennessee) very giving and caring we will do our best to make him comfortable
ty car
He's fortunate to have a loving family around him Sea.
Well...seeing that we did not contact our congressman last month, we will be viewing it from the outside.
My daughter tells me so Molly, she is an RN in geriatrics and so often tells me of the patients who have no one....that is very sad
Sea, that is very sad.
and reading back on thing that5 our lives pivot on from kaplan...lol i find it is the small thigs that shift our cosmos, things that5 have blindsided us on some sunny tuesday FTERNOON,i too once had a oncologist look at me and aS IF HE WERE ORDERING LUNCH,GO aHEAD and measure out my life in coffee spoons....small things veer our course, things no larger that a quarter in some inoperable place.,but often the human spirit is not factord into the scientific equasion and good things may still happen...and..nm crossy rambles and the tea is ready brb
Okay Car, have fun and I hope to hear a full report later. What you saw and more importantly, where you ate. : )
Food has not been too outstanding as of yet : (
Yes, Crossy- this is eloquent.
Downtown is like that. You have to know where the good food is. Some places are just dives. : (
Just grabbing simple meals for the kids when we get hungry.
Have a great day everyone, must go tackle some house work bbl
I am off too! Time to shower and hit the town!
darn keybards! i swear i am going to buy a 600 dollar kb and hide it under my pillow each night so it doe not get buggered up like both my keyboards i have now..grr
'morning, folks
howdy welki
car is here???
I want a meet up!
hi all
howdy jmc
*sneak hugs welki just for spite*
ewww .. stay away! i am soooo sick
ewww! germs!.....
oooo poor welki you are sick?
Bank Transfer Day. I love it. There is a national movement for people to get their money out of the big, fee charging banks and put it in the smaller credit unions and community based banks.
*Passes Welki chicken soup*
first time ever i've taken three days off from work
i sue a local credit union molly have not used a "big banK" in 20 years
use
the credit unions are one of the last vestages of the socialist revolution that was the New Deal
I have my money in a credit union and a community based bank. I flipped off the big boys years ago.
i use a big bank because i travel so much it is useful to find my bank handy
for about 20 years i went from small bank to small bank but they kept getting bought out by the big banks
My small bank has been around since the 1800s. It's not going anywhere.
i figured if i was going to be at a big back i would at least make it the big bank of my choice
tecchnology is changing that jmc, more and more we are going to be able to find our bank on our smart phone and there are new programs out there where the phone itself can hold a balance aND MAKE PURCHACES..NO MORE CARDS!
DARN KB
i am guessing sandy spring moll but it is not convenient for me in DC
Hello Babble buddies!
Morning again...
scrABBY!
hey scrabs and red!
red i have not seen you for an age!
scrabby! jmc, Crossy, Molly! Hello! Hello Lurkerz.
Good morning all
howdy red
howdy bob
what if u don't have a 'smart phone'?
hi
the smart phone technology is used all through Africa--we are so far behind
I know, life has been very very busy.
it is a different kind of smart phone
then you use caRDS I SUPPOSE
this kb is dring crossy crazy
in africa you bye paper cards off the street for minutes on your phone -- you can get them any where no matter how rural
Red, I'm glad you are running again.
hi phae
With the smart phone advantage I'm not sure why people stay tied to big banks.
you can buy those cards here too jmc.
But they do not have them in many parts of Africa.
But I dont have a smart phone.
well there is less of a pull then there was when i was traveling
i am sure you are right red
Scrabbler, I am also glad, though...its not much and today I hurt like the dickens.
indeed molly, your phone becomes you bank for transfers, bill payments and now as a wallet
In kenya, the mobile is a realy wonderful thing.
And most ATM cards are on a network, so you can get cash anywhere.
I recently switched to an electronic bank: Perkstreet. I did my research. Read reviews by financial gurus. Great rewards.
In sudan...well...there isn't as much infrastructure.
but smart phones that pay bills in kenya somalia and tanzania are not like the black berry smart phones
Maybe I need to do that. Scrbbler, how do you get cash...
At designated ATMs. Dave Ramsey (radio show/books) endorses Perkstreet.
it is true moll but i belonged be the only banks anywhere near me are mega banks and i sometimes need to go in person for things
I like Dave Ramsey to an extent...
i actually keep most of my money in ING
I don't travel much at all. I thought needing to have a branch of your bank where you travel was a thing of the past. Shows how much I know.
ING, Ally, Perkstreet...electronic banks.
What bothers you about Dave?
well it is mostly but for example when i was in hungary i found my bank and got cash without atm or cambio charges
so there is still a benefit when you travel a lot
I guess you have to weigh it all out. The convenience vs. the charges the big banks impose. Everyone has to choose what works best for them.
true and i do watch the charges like a hawk--most people i find once they settle into a bank don't pay attention. i go to my local branch and get them to reverse the charges i think are unfair -- and it works most of the time
lol,up here we have many baNK CHOICES,IT IS THE DAMN INTERNET Data CHARGES THAT Are killing us,we haVE 3 PROVIDERS THAT HAVE A STRANGLEHOLD ON DATA CHARGES..daRN CAps sorry

yw
you obviously knew the word, newie to this dutchman
so if i get a job interview in London--how hard would it be for me to get to scotland and wales and ireland--i mean it is a very small place the UK ri5?
we'll call you a ti7 for sharing clues, though
lol
depends on which parts of wales, scotland and ireland LOL
you can get to south east wales by train in 2 hours, north west wales will take you 6
*hands vanilla a belt with large gold buckle*
scotland there are some fast trains but it's an 8 hour drive
i am good at reading on a train
*stuffs herself inside of jmc's luggage* market day, here we come!
at the least i want to go to scotland--my family's home country
you'd either have a 6 or 8 hour drive and a ferry to go to ireland - with no guarantee that the ferry saols, or a 1 hour flight
too soon welki i don't have the interview yet and you will suffocate!
thank you jmc at least something to show for it
trains from London to Glasgow probably take 5-6 hours
Is there a high speed train.
there's a UK website called 'traveline' which you can enter a start and end point and it will give you all the public transport options
lol, glant.i love those short jaunts..round here we drive 3 hours just to get to a nice place for diiner out;))
oh good to know glan!
we're still building the track for the new high speed train LOL
crossy, are you near kenora?
What I don't understand Glant. Yesterday Soodle was talking about her upcoming trip to Spain. since Ireland is a EU country and so is Spain, why would she need an irish passport?
no welki..i am much further east
yes i was just thinking that in texas where i grew up driving an hour in nonrush hour got me in the same city
i know travel is very different in the US and Canada in terms of the distnces people expect to travel, but your roads are also better than ours
in ontario actually
no, welki, he's way far east of Kenora. That is a beautiful place though
indeed glant,i have seen pics of some of those cart paths you drive on
you'd need one passport to get into each and every EU country unless you have the right kind of ID card in which case you don;t need a passport at all if you are a European travelling wiothin Europe
what in all the james bond movies and the avenger they always drove down nice country roads!
passport or visa?
we have some fabulous country roads, but they are not straight or flat LOL
I understand that the UK isn't EU, but isn't there an EU ID card for travel?
passport
kenora's in western ontario, crossy .. how do i know? i broke down there years ago and had to spend a couple of days there :) where are you? in lake country?
i want to drive a mg down a british country road
There is a EU ID card for european travel by europeans, but pretty much only people in the armed forces have them
but i think i would be confused by the sides
I want to go to the Cotswolds. But I don't want to drive on the left
<-- drove down oxford street the wrong way during rush hour
I am driving my pretty little Mazda MX5 down the country roads - it's like a modern version of the MG, and it's fun!
Thanks Glant. I always see the separate line for EU countries at passport controll
The cotswolds are lovely especially when we get snow!
Oh, Welki ;-)
of course in the last indian he was told to just remember the driver goes into the middle and you wont get confused
I would give anything to visit the Cotswolds. Maybe someday
The Cotswolds are fab but not as good as ales LOL
You could come and stay with me Bichon, they are only an hour or two's drive away form here
yes my son has a miata and it is very similar to an mg and a lots safer!
(the taxi drivers were not amused, glan)
What is different about Wales Glant? Comparing it to the Cotswolds
welki, Kenora is north of Minnesota and I love it there (but will need to get a passport to go there again now
I can imagine Welki
hi TLLC
hi sorry I was gate crashing!!
no no welcome welcome!
Wales is mostly hillier than the Cotswolds, the place names are all interesting, and there are mountains in the north with much more wild and rugged countryside around them
yep, nef .. my car broke down in kenora in -30 weather and i was driving a car with no block heater. it had to be towed and defrosted
No gate crashing here. Jump in whenever you like. : )
thank-you x
and we speak Welsh (but not much in the south)
we get so caught up sometimes we are not as welcoming as we could be
.... but where is crossy?
I'm putting both on my list, but no driving on the left for me!
Crossy is in the middle of nowhere.
where in the Cotswolds are you TLLC?
if i get a job in london i will want to be able to drive
Driving on the left in a right hand drive car is fine...
Cirencester
hi, tllc ... strongarm your way into the conversation :)
*crosses fingers*
We live near Cirencester
Learning how to use gears and a gearstick might be more of a problem - not many automatics here
I got married not far form Cirencester - at Westonbiry
haha that is all i drive
yep .. shifting with left hand definitely takes some getting used to
as long as the clutch is the left foot i am fine
clutch is left foot
Lovely place - especially at the moment where we haven't had any frost yet!
ahem well i have actually done a little left handed shifting in my day when the driver's hands were occupied
welki, I thik crossy is north of the toronto area. What the heck is a Canadian doing without a blck heater?
yes, it is beautiful, especially in the autumn colours with all the acers
you vixen
you just take care at the crossings because thats where you get most confused
oh, and all the roundabouts - you don;t really have roundabouts in the US & Canada, do you?
then i would be fine--i think my feet are so automatic on the clutch i would have a wreck if i had to change that
yes but we call them circles here
i was on my way to alberta, nef .. driving a saab (1986 9000 turbo, jmc .. way before the 9-3s) -- who'd figure a swedish car wouldn't start?
ah, I never saw one in any of my trips so I thought you didn;t have them
yes welki *settles in for a good story*
we have them everywhere - I'll let TLLC tell you about the 'mgic roundabout' in Swindon
well there are in the cities more than the countryside
do tell TLLC
Oh God no - I have only driven round it once its terrile there are lots of mini roundabouts (5) all in a circle and you have to go around each one individually
You jusy have to be brave and dive in LOL
that's so very odd, welki. I would have thought that a Swedish car especially would have started in that weather. Must have been too used to coddling or something?
we have no traffic lights in our city only roundabouts and it works just fine with less waiting
once you're on it, it's not as bad as you think it will be
so you go loopdy-loop?
the bollardy thing in the middle you have to go around the wrong way
and no parking meters
and loopty loopty loopty loopty loop!
welki,i am 2.5 hrs drive north of toronto
nah, no story ... well a little one. so some guys in lifted pick-up trucks got the saab onto a flatbed and towed me to a garage in the middle of nowhere -- i was like a superstar -- everyone gathered around the car because they'd never seen a car like mine - new computerized electronic ignition - swedish everything (except for the long legged blonde)
there are still places here without parking meters and the cities are going to different systems
no parking meters in calgary anymore
haha and i bet you showed those legs to an advantage!
they are phasing them out in DC and there are none in Austin
we go to the big city 260 miles away and they spend half their life at traffic lights
you mis-read, jmc .. i said except for the long-legged blonde. you know i'm a short and round brunette :)
roundabouts always flow better than taffic lights
or grey-ette :)
why are parking meters bneing phased out?
ooohhh so sorry i thought for a second i had the wrong mental pic of you! now i get it
in theory, they do, glant ... not so much in practice here in canada
glant, roundabouts are very rare here, but we live in a progressive town and now are proud ownders of 3 roundabouts!
welki, my sister and I took a trip through Canada to Rhode Island and we were drivng my new 1971 Pontiac Firebird. I understand the interest that the male Canadians have in young women and different cars! :-)
because of the risk and costs--people rob them and it costs a lot to collect the money
it was only the car they were interested in, nef .. i wasn't young and was with my husband :)
so now you can phone in or there is a nearby box where you can use bills and credit cards
ah, don;t think the robbing etc is happening here (yet?) so parking meters are still increasing ehre
*here
heck men find my ticket me red saab interesting!
well recessions always raise theft
you speak yoda like jmc
No one finds our Skoda intereseting!!!!
haha tllc
Skodas have come a long way - the new ones are pretty fast
*interesting
Ours isn't a new one!!!
this is all interesting but the other half is calling me to bed .... ok thats all I say...have a great day all
have a good night!
(vanilla's being called to bed and took the time to say g'night ?? go to bed, man! she's calling your!)
night vanilla
Roundabouts. We are such simple folks here in the US. We just call them circles. : )
your= you
They are just introducing round abouts here in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul) MN. In fact, last Sunday the paper had a whole article on how to drive in 2 and 3 lane ones! I think we have 5 round abouts here now in various suburbs
Seems odd, the time on here is 10ish, our time is about 3ish and your time is bedtime!!
bye vanilla
it's an international community TLLC
they are so new round here that we are still in learning curve with roundabouts
which is half the fun!
I know its just amazing
it's the yielding thing that freaks everyone out here about roundabouts .. no one can wrap their head around the fact that the vehicles on the inside have the right of way. ergo ... we sit on the porch and watch the traffic sometimes for entertainment
you can find someone getting up for a cup of coffee pretty much 24/7 around here
we have mini roundabouts and bigger ones and a few giant ones LOL
and this is to be the first winter with them..will be interesting to see how badly the plows gouge upp all that curbing
we have a new roundabout on Vancouver Island, coming off the main highway and going to Airport and other offshoots - takes a bit of getting use to, to say the least
it was so cool during obama's inaugaration to have the whole community online and so many of them changing their flags for awhile to the US flag
i visited a friend in dunstable once .. he said i should turn off at the magic roundabout and that i'd know what he meant when i got there
and I believe the paper did call them round abouts; but don't quote me on that for certain
Well, I've lived in one place all my life, and here they are just called circles. Roundabout sounds British.
some places in the US call them round abouts but many still call them circles
DC has lots of them
when i lived in the states, they were called traffic circles, but were designed differently than roundabouts
We call them traffic circles here, and they are much hated.
hi helen
In Mass. we always called them rotaries
JMC, imagine the look you would get if you said "Dupont Roundabout". : P
we call the roundabouts..vive la differance
so whats the difference welki?
was just saying that, helens .. i'm in the deep south and the circles drive people nuts
haha moll it is even the name of the neighborhood -- dupont circle
what's that old Kingston Trio song about 'never get off'
that is about the boston commuter train flosey
the MTA
yes, that's it - afraid I might just do that on this new roundabout with so many offshoots
glant, they weren't multi-laned .. at least the ones i saw there
oh will he never return no he'll never return though his fate is still unlearned he will ride foreever neath the streets of boston he's the man who never returned
ah, we have single lande and multi laned ones now
ah yes, takes me back!
most of the ones here are multiple laned
helens, have you driven the circle near springbank on the way to cochrane from bragg creek? woo woo!
stay on the inside lane, park the car,put the 4 ways flashers on and have a picknic lunch in the centre
okay i must actually go do some work bbl
bbs
bye jmc
nice meeting you tllc!
bye nef
I understand at rush hour it's horrendous. I've been lucky enough to encounter it only in quiet times.
thanks crossy, must remember to pack food
and you hope to "see" you again!
Body shops LOVE traffic circles. They are a number one spot for accidents.
funny, crossy! we joked that i'd run out of gas before i could exit .. or would have to call for sandwiches to be delivered while i drove round and round
4 way flashers = hazard warning lights
there's one here in mckenzie towne, helens, that is a nightmare 24/7
think i shall reccomend to town council to place a port-a-pottie on the inside of the roundabout so thT THOSE WHO CANNT GET OFF CAN HAVE A PEE BREAK;)..darn caps
. . .and through the open window they threw charlie a sandwich as the train went rumbling through. . .
*poof*
bye, jmc
Think of all the idiots who don't even get over when there are LEFT LANE ENDS signs for 3/4 of a mile. Now, put those same idiots in a traffic circle. Crunch.
... make sure you spare someone a niclkle today jmc
i do believe you have a valid theory there, molly ... i see both of those scenarios every morning
It is frightening how many clueless drivers are on the road.
that's why i drive with my eyes closed
can anyone clue the al7/40 plz? Can't seem to see it at all.
al7 = lands on
lol, how you get off the roundabouts
when everything's ok its al7
Sorry - got that one. I mean the the last one after not being dead.
Thanks I got it now!
then it's the one aeb clued :)
flosey,i put the truk in 4 wheel drive and go right through the middle
Right better get a shifty on and do something as we have people coming in about 30 mins and I have too tidy up first! wil prob be back ater - bye!!
lol crossy, I'll close my eyes
Bye TLLC

Our kids always think we are nuts. It's in their job description.
Andy Rooney, Sixty Minutes on CBS in the US, died last night.
:(
RIP Andy rooney
wow, and he just quit working... weeks? months? ago
he knew, most likely
yeah last 60 minutes appearance oct. 2
His last broadcast was well done. He reflected on his blessings and a life well lived.
i remember it. many people who enjoy their work have no interest in retiring... i believe he was one, and he worked as long as he could. definitely a life well lived
If you love what you do, and get paid well for it, I can see why retirement would be of no interest. Those are the fortunate few.
name that proper noun! "don't cry for me"
Evita!!
ding ding ding!
i love what i do and get paid decently (well. maybe not quite decently), and if i could come in at 10 am instead of 8:30, and work three or four days a week instead of five, and take vacation when i want instead of school vacations (when cheap flights are impossible to find) I'd probably work forever
Sounds like a perfect balance, Dorens.
i seem to always stay two hours past 3:30 (which is when we are supposed to leave) so coming in at ten would really work quite nicely. i could easily do that throughout my seventies at least
i'm glad you see the rationale behind it molly, now why don't you become an educational policy maker?
Oh, if I could, teachers would be paid far better than they are.
i know... if anyone with common sense could, they would. and maybe we would get better teachers too. Unfortunately, most of the young men and women with brains now choose other careers. one of the problems with schools today is obvious. the teachers who had brains but didn't think they could get any better brains (women... before the womens' movement) have all retired and many of the folks who go into teaching today aren't all that bright . sorry, but true
it makes no sense that high schools start so super early when studies have proven that teen biological clocks are pushed later, not earlier.
mean women with brains who didn't think they could get any better JOBS
quite true hurshy
It is true Dorens. The quality of teachers has gone steadily down hill over the past ten years or so. I count myself fortunate that my kids were taught by some of the best.
so why don't the folks in government see that?
cause they want to dismantle public schools and privatize them. corporations can make money from them, and corporations drive the government these days. it is sickening
I have no idea. Teachers are who we entrust the education of our children to. I think they should be held in very high regard.
Over here the standard of teaching hasd gone down and yet every year the A level passes go up and up, How does that happen, Young people are getting to Uni barely able to read and write!!
i truly bellieve it is because teaching used to attract very intelligent (and dedicated) women. when we were kids. it has steadily gone downhill, and i'm sure that is a global phenomenon, as the womens' movement was. And now we need to raise the level of pay and respect to attract better teachers. and we aren't willing to
some of my teachers back in the 1950s clearly could and would have been highly paid lawyers, business people, etc. but it was so much more difficult then. now... why would anyone with a truly keen mind and self-respect want to go into teaching. some do, but they are few and far between.
And you don't put any blame on teaching to a test or no child left behind?
ok, off my soapbox and into my car. a date with my cousin in nyc .. lincoln center
and we need to give teachers the power to take control of their classes and not to have to back away because of threats from pupils and parents
oh sure hootowl, that is also a huge problem. but it came about in response to kids doing poorly to begin with. and i think that was cause of lack of respect for schools and some lousy teachers too. poof
Good point Deeha, I agree.
Hello Everyone :)
too easy. I had to do essay questions on tests. When woulf was in school it was all multiple choice. You don't have to think to take multip;e choice tests
And most of those threatening parents take absolutely no part in their child's education, but are the first people to march into the school to complain.
Hi Sadie
Here they can move their kids from school to school. Makes no sense to me. Bad teacers in every school
Most of the parents have never finished high school and/or work, so they are not able to help
Hi Molly
Oh but Hoot, they would have to know how to write coherent sentences, and spell to take essay tests. All they can manage is text talk.
yup - ain't those stupid phones wonderful?
And try to stop them from using them in class
The big argment is so they can call in an emergency. Depending on the emergency - I'd get the hel out first! Then think about calling
I find it sad that people are too lazy to type entire words anymore.
hi all, may I pls have help with bottom row t
Not loose, Peri.
Yeah but they'll talk forever, anywhere, any time and loudly!
And pardon me, but kids were able to call home in an emergency way before the advent of cell phones.
sheesh, ty Molly
I've never understood this need to be in constant contact with someone
I'm with you there Hoot.
I don't either hoot
I was thinking of the shootings. I think that made the parents get the phones
Yeah, but think about it. What good do phones do in a situation like that. You are supposed to be taking cover for your life, not making a phone call.
oh and hi Mooly & peri
i think it's more that you call immediately AFTER to let your parents know you are alive.
Sorry Molly -
And in real terrible times, like September 11th for example, cell phone service goes out anyway.
hi hursh
Yep - same in hurricanes & earthquakes. But somehow it makes the parents feel better..until they get the bill
heh. I told my son he wasn't getting a cell until he turned 18 and could not only pay his own bill but could also sign his own contract... he wasn't happy but he survived...
heh. I told my son he wasn't getting a cell until he turned 18 and could not only pay his own bill but could also sign his own contract... he wasn't happy but he survived...
sorry, double hit
kids now a days are used to getting what they want, NOW
Amelu, if more parents were like you, we would not be over run with spoiled brats who get everything they want, when they want it. Nice that you taught your boy responsibility.
I have a Trac-phon. Had it for years. It's in my bag and turned off. That is my safety line. Well yesterday we were having trouble with the landline so I turned it on to see if we had fixed it. Found a text message! I never had texting so they must have added it behind my back!
also a wrong number but....
he now appreciates those "mean things" that I made him suffer through because he knows that not only did he survive it, so will his children...
This is actually my second phone with them. The first one was better because to call 911 all you had to do was hold the 9 button down. Didn't even have to be on. If anyone is in the markey, Nokia might still be doing them.
hungry - food - bbl
i did the same thine ame- my kids all wanted designer jeans.. designer shoes.. holes in their ears and expensive earrings for them- cell phones. . a car-... i said... thats wonderful honey.. yes you can... when do you start work?
Hi everybody. I'm trying to install a new OS into my computer but can't remember my password. Anybody know how to get around that problem?
no idea, Nef. don't even know what os IS
os means operating system; I'm just trying to update my computer and am totally stuck.
bbb
bbl
I don't understand how some 'parents' feel they have to be friends (equals) with their kids. the kids have control and the parents don't even see it coming until mid-teens hit and disrespectful and disdeignful of everything that comes out of an adults mouth... really?
sorry, nef, don't know a workaround...
I don't get the whole "friend" thing either. Are those parents so short-sighted that they don't realize what a burden a child can be if you don't teach the child how to stand on their own feet? Or don't the parents have any friends of their own?
and I don't understand the whole password thing at all; I'll have to wait til my son shows up to deal with this now....
How many words today?

hello
hi nanners
gd night everybody
it gets a little boring down in christmas valley and such.. but since I have no reason to go there much that's ok ;)
good night ruby sleep well
nite
big smile from me today -- got the last of the closets and bureaus cleaned out before we make the trek south :)
I don't know where Xmas valley is
Yeah nan.. once you get all those golf clubs out of the closet..there's a lot of room..lol
Crack in the Ground area I think.
We went to see that a couple years ago
the Crack is pretty cool though
I still have to clean those -- think I've played my last game of the season up here
ugh.. just the thought of cleaning out closets....
Crack in the ground is in Oakland too
feels so good to have it done, m9 -- and big brothers can come and pick up the still wearables at any time!
is that like goodwill?
yes -- the same
Hi Mary. :)
cool
And ruru, nan, etc.
hi Neil!
gm neil
Good afternoon, ru... wake up already. ;)
ah -- the last 7 found -- can list now!
[passes ru a strong mug of coffee]
guacamole.. I need it
Ru.. did you mean the Hayward Fault?
oh wow -- was so proud of myself for remembering the aa 4 last night and here there are 2 more!
no.. m9..lol
a morning cup of guacamole? THat's interesting
I meant the drugs
oh! LOL
Yeah... different.
ah, ok.
I pull that one on all my mexican friends.. instead of saying muchas gracias.. I say muchas guacamole with a goofy look on my face.. it always gets a laugh from them
That's like me saying "murky buckets" to any French people I meet.
our Crack in the Ground is a rare geologic phenomena
[which I confess, I do often]
My friend went to France..and he'd heard that they
first al 6, please?
people snort our crack in the ground down here
e only rude to people who don't even TRY to speak french... so when he'd get out of a taxi or whatever, he'd say "Hors d'oeuvre"
mine is to take off with
Yeah, ruru. if you think they're bad for doing that there... try here. lol
Haha, Mary!
At college a Japanese classmate and I always greeted each other by saying "Ajinomoto!"
Nan, first al6 is like the lead Chipmunk, with an extra vowel in the middle.
MSG?
yup!
That's a pretty spicy greeting Mary.
yuck yuck Neil
extra vowel? - there isn't one in the vicinity if the other letters are the same
oh -- I see -- going the other way -- ty molly
yeah.. poor little salmon who's yolk is depleted. sniff, sniff
as 5, please?
: ) You're welcome Nan
as5...a + what you do to the cake mix
as5... roiling about...
ty -- feel kind of stupid now!
No feeling stupid Nan.
oh that's al7.. happens to us all
al7 really isn't a correct word tho- we always learned that "already" is one word, but all ri*** is two words.
agreed kap
But I'sm kind of a ri8 when it comes to grammar
But not for any other matters.
I ususally wear out my left shoe first too
Especially if it's on the ri5 foot.
is 6, please?
i + nice fabric, Nan
ty molly -- new word for me
(((hugs and choclits))) how's the grid today?
cute.
I've seen worse, stid
thanks nan -- I'll give myself to one o'clock to get halfway. I really want to work on my nanowrimo novel today.
em6 please?
throw up, ruru
NBT
did that help ruru? need more?
I don't see it
Your enemy is your arch- ne*****, subtract the n.
good clue Kaplan
ty.
hello, I'm back
jeez.. thanks. I don't know that word
hey annie!
hi annie.
I had to heave to find it
Hi Stiddy, How's school teachin?
Hi ruru :)
I subbed one day this week -- not the most fun, but at least during my class no one was hurt and most kids got the work they wanted done. Then helped in a friend's classroom half day yesterday and it was fun. I love the variety I am getting!
how about you annie?
I'm okay, Stid..enjoying the fall weather after our nor'easter
glad it's nicer weather for you -- that was some storm.
first sl 6, please?
like a piece of a shirt nan.. witha different middle vowell
thanks ruru, not one I knew!
ty ruru -- new one for me as well
it's usually short.. since it's always leaving..
LOL ruru!

ti 5...not loose
and pl
ooh, thx, diz!
yw
Thanks diz
and since I hadn't noticed that particular ending, I now have a bunch more words :-)
(in my defense I have only started...)
Don't get defensive Sue, will figure out the grid in our own time. : )
<---Didn't get that ending until after a second cup of rather strong coffee this morning.
Will? We all.
that reminds me, i was going for that second cup and got sidetracked....
Very little gets in the way of me and my coffee.
yeah, me too. Got have that one strong cup to function
Hey everybody. Greetings from Sunny Spain :-). Well, its not sunny, cos its 9.30 pm, but you know what I mean....
hi soodle!!
HI Sue :-)
Where are you in Spain?
Lanzarote.... an island belonging to Spain off the west coast of Africa. One of the Canary Islands!
Oka, Soodlita
Oka??? : ( Ola
((((Molls)))) Olé!!
How has day one of your holiday been so far?
sounds lovely, soodle!
Dumb white girl with the Anglo speak never remembers to put an H in Hola
nbt...
puts in the pb the first quart of peppermint stick ice cream to be found in my area. Good evening everyone
*Runs to PB with spoon* Hi Mom, thanks.
you're welcome Molly and hello
no running with spoons. There are spoons and bowls there as well
*Warms up hot fudge in PB microwave*
on peppermint stick ice cream?
Gee Mom, I'm still trying to get over running with scissors. : )
there is to be NO running in babbleland
Mom, my people will eat hot fudge on anything. It's in our blood.
<---- doesn't eat hot fudge period
*Tiptoes quietly to the PB*
<---- that reminded me just now of the oldest as a teenager stomping up the steps. I told him that wasn't loud enough and go do it again
Teenagers are unbearably loud.
he was trying to make a point of how put out he was about something
never had to tell ours to turn down the tv, radio, stereo, nothing
Reminds me of a quote I read about appreciating your kids while they are young. It ended, "remember that a baby in the hand is worth two teenagers behind a bush."
:-) true
Having all boys, I had no idea how much LOUDER the girls were, until my boys started bringing them home.
even then only one girl sticks in my mind that was obnoxiously loud. Phew, she is no longer in the picture
she had a huge, ginormous bust and always wore low cut tops. She loved to bend over too. shudders
Oh, there is one of those in every neighborhood Mom. We had one in ours and she was on the loud side too.
Well, the ice cream is eaten I had better go and do up the dishes. Lots to do tonight and in the coming weeks. ((hugs)) to all of you. See you tomorrow
'Night Mom.
pleasant dreams Molly
morning all
evening mrpres
hi jen :)
anyone else awake?
guess not
hey mrpres, do you change your clocks back an hour?
hey all! (((hugs)))
stidmama, i think i am the only one here!
that's okay, then you get all the hugs! *and choclits*
how are you Jen?

hello IndiaJan

i just got started, i am down to 194

our clocks changed beginning of October jen
okay, down to 96. have a good evening, all!
***BIG HUGS for mrp***
((((stid)))) !
bye mama
how come mrpres
we change ours back tonight
miss you mrp... *poof*
our government decided on changes to daylight saving time a couple of years ago. Used to be end of October, with a change back at beginning of March. Now it is end October with a change back at end of March.
sorry, that last line should read beginning of October
it essentially gave us about 7 weeks more daylight saving time
2nd fl635 pls
fl6/36
Plural of the one before it, Peri
the one before it is a fl4/7
f + li5 (day time) then plural for 7
Oh duh, was looking at FI. What you take when you get on an airplane, plural.
ty mrp and molly
: )
sorry, had to change over laundry, i think ours was the end of October and then the beginning of April, mrpres
1st le5/16 pls
hi
Opposite of stay, Peri.
Hi Herin
not seeing the obvious today, ty again, Molly
hi herin
I had that same problem most of the day Peri. : )
Can't stay too long today. We hve to go to Grams and return the care
Car
Nice Gram to lend you her car.
We went to what was meant to be an engagement party
what happened herin?
Oh no, was meant to be?
it wasn
it wasn't an engagement party?
A man come out and announced that since every one was there it was going to be a Wedding
LOL, that is cool!
What a nice surprise.
I have no idea how they kept it a secret. So himself's parents picked us up in their car as they are staying at Grams and Dad decided to allocate himself as the designated driver.
Let's just say the parent's got to the drinking and someone couldn't walk in a straight line last night :D
off to a play, maybe I can get to half way when we get home.
Later Sue
Did I kill the chobg?
no herink, i am here, trying to get a NBT
I am just sticking what ever word comes to me head in
i need a word with the lower middle I
i
I am working on that myself
HAVE IT
what is it?
Il 4
Means: the broad, upper portion of either hipbone.
i have an il4 but it came off the other i
Or Il Eye Ate
can't find herin
Look at my clue I have spelt it out
Jen, are you looking for i + ***n on me?
tm 6 pls
no, i have that one molly
i am trying to find one for the bottom i
Or google that meaning
That is the bottom one
the one that 2 words coming off of the 2 words
Red, tm + a nem**** is an enemy
mine came off the top one herein
No it doesn't
thanks molly
Jen it isn't that is the one I clued and just put in myself
then do you have another il4/4
Nope just the Mayor of Zelda's daughter
il + Ave Mar**
thank you molly
You're welcome Jen. Boomer Sooner Red! : )
That is teh one I gave
i was using the wrong vowel
NBT
any help with the aa words...probably standard babble words...but don't play that often :-)
I am right
Babs, aa + consonant+ double vowel and plural
And there is no such thing as "standard Babble words". Just weird, twisted words that often show up in these grids. : )
Molly and all bablets are not real words no matter what the dictionary say
thanks Molly
what I should have said is words that the people who play regularly and can finish puzzles would easily pull out of their word brains :)
You're welcome Babs. Herin, I truly dislike the term "babblets". It's just a nice way of saying "stupid word that no normal person uses in conversation".
True.
Though they have come in handy when playing Scrabble
Babs, my brain refuses to file a word like aa5/10. And I am happy for that. : )
Babblet is a really old babble term for random useless in every day life words
any of you in the chog now play word with friends? can we exchange names?
Yes, but it makes me laugh when someone clues a word,
Babs if i did there would not be a clean house
"it's a babblet". Like new people are going to know what that means.
Then they just ask. It isn't like we don't clue them
Sorry Babs, I am not an smart phone person.
ok...being good at avoiding cleaning and doing things i should be doing lately...;(
My mother comes in a week and teh bed is still in the box
i play babs
please refresh my memory..what was the babble name of the person who set up the chip in collection for mrp? nd has anyone seen her of late?
the first al6 anyone?
never mind i monkeyed it
ti 7/28 pls
a person who does the t5 above it
or... boob part + santa claus' document
a person who ti5 before it
thanks cosdem
fi 6/27 please
never mind found it
I sure could us it, cos? Thanks
use - even
the duty of the son
fi + don't tell the truth minis last letter + mr. gore
Ah, thanks much Shirlockc and cosdem.
Hi all. Just jumping in to ask Cos how he is liking "Once"
loving it. ABC just ordered a full season :)
just read an article saying it is the top ranked new show this year.
i've been watching too! like it a lot so far
Yay! I think it's my favorite new show this season.
much better than that other fairy tale show Grimm
grimm is ok. i dont like it as much as Once but it's fun to watch
aa 5/10 pla
pls
pls
aa+ letter + double vowel
thanks cosdem
I haven't checked out Grimm yet, but it looks a little dark for me. (Chicken)
i dont think it'll last long unfortuantely
grimm = fantasy / fairy tale + police procedural, having watched so much law and order, the police thing doesn't ring true
sa5 after the sodiums, pls?
fantasy / fairy tale is fine but if you're in the real world be real
there can never be a good police procedural show after law and order :(
well shirl... supernatural on CW is similar to Grimm but it's one of CW'S biggest hits.. and a show i like.. its on the same time as Grimm so I dvr Grimm
sa5 might be an ointment
i haven't watched supernatural so can't say, i like a few of the characters on grimm, just not hooking me like once
ty, jeff
i think they should have kept the aunt. she seemed to be one of thebetter characters
yw, not listing tonite so i wasn't sure if that was the next one
li 5/10 after santa's document please
they can't make it darker if they don't remove the source of info
hmm good point.
kinda like dumbledore and gandalf dying. the hero is on their own
yep, the questing hero
li5/10...li + a dog wags it's ***l
im just happy Once is exceeding ABC's expectations.
doh i kept trying that word but with an alt. spelling.. thanks!
: )
hello all! *scatters lovely vegan choclits with caramel centers*
sl6 the first?
s + to depart
didn't know that was a word! another word learned!
i just monkeyed it when you were asking for a clue :)
Shirl, this whole grid is a lesson in words.
it's a tough grid fer sure
39 to go...
The aa's are particularly dumb.
molly i read an articl yesterday on CNN about jk rowling
apparently she was depressed in the middle of the series and nearly killed off ron weasley
no! not ron!
i know! ron's my favorite! i m so glad she didn't
she said it was between ron and cedric diggory. she made the right pick
That would have been a HUGE mistake. Glad it didn't happen.
i always thought cedric wasn't that big a character
besides ron's my secret husband lol... or at least rupert grint is
I don't get Rowling and why she felt it necessary to kill off so many well loved characters.
dumbledore, i can understand.
HA! imagine being a joss whedon fan!
sirius black, i can understand.
oh i love joss whedon!
Cos, please make sure you make Rupert bathe if you ever leave Ryan for him. : )
BTVS is one of my favorite shows :)
lol ok molly...
and yes, shirl, joss likes to kill characters. he killed my 3 favorite characters from BTVS
and firefly, remember firefly?!
yes.
TV writers are the worst. It's like they can't get through the end of a season without killing off a main character.
and is why i'm a bit surprised i don't like grimm that much, the producers of BTVS and angel is doing grimm
if i ever meet joss, i will punch him in the face. Tara Maclay does not deserve to die.
at least on daytime soaps when major characters die they come back eventually :P
That's true Cos. As themselves (not really killed) or a long lost twin no one knew about.
especially if ur diedre hall .. marlena has died like what? 20 times?
At least.
that was a bad one (tara) but then neither does wash need to die
but we're suckers for watching it. we know something's gonna happen to our favorites.
Anya's death was gut wrenching too.
oh yeah, cordelia eventually died too and i liked her a lot
st 6/27 # 2 please?
what archie tells edith to do
Beat me to it Cos. That was going to be my clue. : )
lol,ty cos
rhymes with the long gun
thank you
lol molly :) and yw cross
the last st5/10 please
al7? the last one?
***ruuster*** miss you
st + I would give you a h***, but you probably got it by now
hi crossy, c os et al :) ((hugs)) to my boys
al + not left
ah duh thanks
(((MRP)))
hey mrp :)
got that one molly, need the second one
hi mr p
ruru, am looking into some things ... will email you when we know. I luv you for being so amazing too.
Sorry Shirl, you asked for the last one.
a + let there be *****
what happened?
ooo, i'm an idiot, molly. I thought your clue was the first al7
thx
all done packing mrp?
nothing, unfortunately, but some babble friends are helping track stuff down... 1,000 reasons to luv you
:D
oh hell no cos!! i just want to be sick when I look at how much needs to be done still! we move in 2 days
i had to pack once in just 24 hours. it was awful lol
*sending love to mrp for moving energy*
but, the removalists are moving us over 3 days
thank you stid!! my energy is gone!! luv you darling
thats not too bad
cos, that is terrible!
for you that is... 24 hours!
email me at the gmail address when you know something mr p.. not the napa one
yes. my ex didnt pay rent and hid the eviction notice from me til 24 hours before.
i had to move my dad in 24 hours, many years ago when he decided to leave his wife.... she had the sherrif escort him off the propert with only what he could carry
I couldn't pack to move from our home in under a week, and even that would be pushing it. We have packed so many things into the rooms in the 12 years we have been here.
stid - thats true. i had to leave behind many, many things :(
wow. people can be so mean to others. *disapproving mama look of meanness*
Hello friends!
was one of the saddest things i ever witnessed in my father's life
i only took the essentials and my prized possessions. and a week later i realized i forgot to bring my shoes.. i had like 50 pairs i was so mad lol

Hi all. Well, is it gonna be 64 words or 364 words?
The time change happens at babble 12:00??
or is babble on Daylight Savings??
Yep. 9:00 here
the time change for the grid takes effect tomorow from what ive been told
time changes at 2 am local time, so tonight's change is "normal" for us all.
aw well.. I'm done with this grid, so I suppose it doesn't really matter to me.LOL
makes sense. which is good cause im ready for flip
I hope babble doesn't have a mental like last time
