morning All - so pleased with your news Ruby - is there a photo of him yet
who's Ruffino Ruby?
Instructions from ARB for putting babble grid results into profile: • Copy word list into an Excel spreadsheet (the word, the number of letters and the points go into 5 columns (because of ? for dictionary). • Then insert a column after the word. • Then write a formula in the first line after the word, example - " =left($B1,2)" (the $ makes the formula absolute) • Then copy the formula all the way down (put cursor in bottom right of the top cell with the formula and drag down to end of word list). • Voila you have 3 columns with first 2 letters, length, points

yet another big grid! spring break starts tomorrow; maybe I can finish this one...
doss, with a gerund ending and the possesive plural ;)

You're welcome.

hello everyone
hi annie!
hi sue, hope all went well yesterday
Hello, Annie.
Hello, Haz. Are you rested from the festival?
yes, everything went fine, and was not especially stressful, annie, thanks!
Yes, thanks. I finally managed to get all the paperwork tidied up and put away. I had been ignoring it for a week.
someone mentioned a gerund ending. as far as I can see, there is none.
No, there isn't one, I'm not sure what they meant.
I think they were riffing off variant spellings and endings in Babble, not any particular ones in this grid (hope that makes sense, am just waking up)
I'll buy that,sue
hello dear ones
hi trif!
morning, Trif :)

car. If need be, I will prevail on Molly again. The holy water works wonders for this Jewish lady.
... goodday eh!
there is usually one posted in bab anon....
:)
my goodness annie! I would think it would cause you to burst into flames or something! LOL
I don't think it matters what religion you are...when people are lifting you up in thoughts and prayers...amazing things happen!!!!! {{Annie}}
No, not me..
of course,car - I was just kidding
Oh I know! I was being upbeat and glib.
But then, wouldn't the water extinguish the flames
Bab Anon only has yesterday's info...
No...it would be like the burning bush.
I respect all religions.
and I suppose I was just being "senstive"(2 sylls) and trying to avoid being even more hated in the chog than I already am....
As do I Annie!
Trif!! I CANNOT imagine you being hated. You are a big plus to Babble and a sweetheart.
oh, annie my love, there is a LINE, I assure you!
You would be surprised Annie...however...Trif is MUCH loved in this group!
Yes, I would be surprised, very much so.
I think I would say I will respect a member of any religion, say if I was speaking with that person face to face, but there are some churches that I don't have a lot of respect for -- at all. A certain Westboro church comes to mind....
whoo! top row gray!
Cool! The plural of early spring flowers is in the grid! I just saw some at the busstop!
oooh, thanks! what color?
I just like to come and chat in Babble Land!
white
I will have to see if mine are up, and, if so, send a photo to secondo
She cracked me up the other day! She posted a message that every time she goes outside, "Africa" by Toto plays in her head!!!!! LOL!
good lord...my full first name is in the grid
did she tweet that?
I probably would be done with this grid a lot faster if I could type properly!
Good mornign Rolin!
edna?
morning all, does anyone have the su8 or su9
hey car
Good morning Peri!
Not yet.
nope...rosanne
hi peri
Beautiful name!
yes, really nice. and much nicer than edna!
hi rolin
<----- really likes the name Edna.
lol... even tho i rarely use my full name..it is better than edna...(apologies to anyone who might be called edna)
hi annie
Good morning Babblers
Good morning Nono!
good morning, Nono :)
I am fretful that the grids this weekend will be tiny after have such good sized ones this whole week.
I have copied Volleymom's list to my profile for anyone who may want it.
Thank you Nono!
ooh, got the su8/9!!!
may I have a clue pls. sue
thanks to peri for pointing out their existence...
Hey there uusue!
thanks, nono
I used to be the church newsletter editor for my church, and, in convo with another editor, heard a brilliant story....a catholic church secretary used to use global replace to redo all the church bulletins, especially the ones for funeral - she would just automatically replace "elizabeth" with "carole" for example. This went very well, until someone named "mary" died, and then the next funeral was for someone named "edna" and the mourners were very surprised to see prayers to "holy edna, mother of god"
I got the clue from the chat log
su + consonant + stop, then past tense
Oh no!
ty uu
ty sue
and that gave me nbs, had better get on with my day!!
Bye uusue! Have a great day!
1/2 way, bbl
Bye Peri! Have a great day!
I always chuckle when I hear the name Edna now, remembering that
I got to NBT...now I have to work. Have a great day everyone! {{hugs}}
bye Car
bye my love!
Bye!
bye car.
did anyone else not find the nine?
I cant even find the su8 that was clued trif
Hello all!:-) Trif - I'm chuckling at your church stor, especially as my Gran's name was Edna. She's no longer with us, but that story would've tickled her.
I have one 9---pt tense of su 8/50
*storY, I meant.

su 8 mom
Yes, Trif...

hello Uusue
hi sue

hi nono and mom!
Hi sue.
hi jac!
my mouse has quit working, so I am back to the laptop touch pad :-(
:(
need a new battery, sue?
Oh, I hate those touch pads.
it is a old style ball mouse or a laser mouse?
the touch pad mouse slows me down way to much
does the su 8 start with the prefix which means under
laser
it does not, bichon
ty sue
if it is running but the pointer is erratic on the screen ,check the optics for debris such as a single hair or a toast crumb will knock it off kilter
what a stupid su word
brb

<--- never read the Raven
Good morning Hurshy
it has quit functioning altogether, crossy, the computer doesn't even recognize it any more. Probably its cord has died. It was a cheap mouse anyway and can be replaced by another cheap mouse.

what a tiresome grid!! anyone know the cu 8 and 9?
CU9 - plural what is granted to father/mother for children after divorce.
sorry about that annie, not sure what happened but it's there now
The cu8/55 takes one vowel away from the cu9.
thank you, Nono
thanks, Hazel
hi Haz
You're welcome, Annie. There are a few newly encountered words today.
OMG, Haz! Thank you!!
Hello, Nono and everyone.
the cu8 is a new one for me
You're welcome, Jayk, glad it helps.
how many words today?
307 today
307
thanks

halfway, I need to get laundry going, bbl
bye, Nono
Good day Babble buddies.
Hiya, Scrabbs!
Hello, Scrabbler.
Haz, I see that you have joined QP and you have done well.
what's QP?
Scrabbler, I used to do quote-puzzler a year or two ago and then forgot to renew my subscription. I've started again but feel a little rusty.
Quote-Puzzler--a daily set of 10 word games. nrkii, CioccaJudy, Feather, Doren + Fran play.
I haven't had time to play today - thanks for reminding me!
Hurshy, you would love it and do very well. nrkii kicks our butts daily.
but sounds like it costs something
Lord, don't seduce us with any MORE of these addictions!
Yes, it's a yearly subscription of something like 9 $.
9.95 yearly, and as you ea4 stars you extend your subscription.
Really! Like we need more word crack.
But they're a mixture of puzzles, some take longer than others.
Some are timed so you daren't linger.
It is one of my daily highlights, I admit. Challenging, tricky, some games are easier for my brain than others.
How do I access QP? It sounds interesting.
www.quote-puzzler.com
It's www.quote-puzzler.com
You can play a couple of the games without subscribing.
di 6? di8?
(Do you get the commission for mentioning it first, Scrabbler?)
I admit that on some days it is THE most fun of my day.
I think I will keep it in mind.
di8/55 - di plus diamonds, sapphires etc are all varieties of pr****** stones.
di6 is a plural for di5/14
Nope. And I don't ea4 stars the way nrkii does. How she excels on every game everyday is beyond comprehension, because luck is a component in some games.
ty haz
Hi kje. You play QP somedays.
wow. di 8's a new one for me!
There are far too many vowels in that di8.
haven't in forever
You're welcome, kje and Jayk.
missing the di 6 was just plain dumb
All the vowels that are left out of Welsh words congregate in that di8.
Nah. It's missing x, w and y.
left OUT
Name that proper noun (for yanks only): Spokescreature for insurance company.
gieco
Rather, the name of the insurance company. Oy. Need more coffee.
geico, sorry
geco
GEICO gecko. My 24 yr old nephew just started working for GEICO. Great company.
good luck to him, scrabbs
Ding Ding Ding!
yay for scrabby's nephew!
The gekko is cute, but I really love the new piggy with the pinwheels.
I hope he works hard and moves up. He has a double degree--psych and criminal justice--so they told him that he is being considered for the fraud investigation division.
sounds like that would be an awesome job!
And my nephew will become a father in July. Oops + yikes.
Sounds like a great job, Scrabbs. Unfortunately, there's plent of job security there - lots of insurance scammers out there.
I tell him to be humble, to be conscientious, to ask for help when needed, to be trustworthy, etc.
That sounds like a good pattern for a babbler to follow.
For anybody, really.
Yes, you're right.
stats for bottom right N please
na4/4
na4/4

Some people might just throw a hissy fit but hopefully most would re **.

ah.. I thought you meant the Spelling girl from 90210
ah, no
yah.. she'd put you in the pb.LOL
Is there another Lost Lenore besides the one in "The Raven"?

my dad used to say he spoke every language except greek and then if you asked him to speak something in x language he would say, oh that's greek to me

No, the 'I know' was in sympathy with gran and the greekness of some of the words.
ah that makes more sense

Just remember, if anyone says anything to you about the "Oreos", they are talking about the baseball team, not cookies. : )
will remember. understand, however, that all his many years at harvard (college, med school, phd, residency, and teaching for the last three years) have turned him into an obnoxious redsox fan
de 5/14 please?
get rid of the frost, cosdem
thanks
yw
you have to finish this one doren you're in the grid.
I know several Sox fans who have gone to games at Camden Yards. They are a pretty tolerant bunch there.

he said it would probably be easier for him to get tickets to a redsox game there than it is at fenway
are you don ru?
That's what my friend in Connecticut says. She and her family come down twice a year for Red Sox games.
No, he's Ru. I think Don left.

No codeine here but boy and I have both had the chest cold from hell this week. We do cool mist humidifiers, hot ginger lemonade and honey.
i pulled abdominal muscles the other day coughing violently. gave myself a headache today. started antibiotic and hoping it will help. How old is your boy molly?

i don't blame you.. mine are 37 and 33 and they're still my boys
I have two older sons as well. They are all my boys.

No, but anxiously awaiting one from my five years married son and girlie in law.

Was able to babble with ea 4/4 when I started the grid, but I gave up on the grid with 152 words. Now I'll be an ai 5/12 and ai 4/5 you with a story of clues to re 4/5. I started cooking not long ago,so I am not very good at it yet. I often bu4/7 whatever it is that I am making.I can never cook ri 4/5 the right way.I get so annoyed when I bu4/7 my butt to make a good meal and then it gets bu 6/30.I can barely heat a can of co4/5 in the microwave Sometimes I just think that I should ce 5/12 cooking all together. I'm surprised my husband has not taken me to co5/14 for food poisoning.Although he ado4/5s me, he does not like my cooking as much. Husband has do6/30 when it is my night to cook.Hubby always ru4/7 it in my face that he is a better cook than I am. He is so ru 4/6! However, his do4/6 criticism of my cooking doesn't drive me insa4/4 like it used to. I am not that good at baking either. I usually ruin the cr 5/14 whenever I bake a pie. Hubby has this id 4/5 that I should take cooking classes. They offer cooking classes down the ro 4/5 on ro4/5e 6 ne 4/4 my house, but I don't want to pay for them. Well my de4/5 Babble friends, I must go. Hubby is dr4/8bing his feet because he wants to ou4/5 me off the laptop. I will let him have his tu4/5 on the computer. I am going to be a ra 6/21 & go ra 4/5 the fridge for something to eat and watch Raymond Bu 4/7 in a Perry Mason movie. I do5/18 I will be back tonight. I will see you tomorrow.
ty
lately these grids have been brain frying!
Good story Min!
3 more C's!
I love how you vent on your husband in your stories...
thanks min!
I love Perry Mason. Anyone got a verdict on "Awake?"
not yet kap. i shld watch that tonight.
I think I will change my name to Della Street.
still have 7 su words
Thanks Jacula! Was a little embellished for story purposes.
ty jac
I started cooking a few years ago. I am getting the hang of it. There are some meals I make very well and some I don't
su7 pls
peri - sugarlike (from the French for sugar). su7, that is.
mine is sugar like peri
C's all done!!!!
nice cos!
have su5 and su6.looking now for su7
ty Jac and ruru
su7 is actually an enzyme, also called invert***.
as long as we're asking for su words, how about su 8/9?
Jac, did you read the encyclopedia as a child? You did, didn't you?
su + what sounds like a word for a fad or a **aze.

nvm found them

thanks jac though! didnt see ur clue til too late
Molly - I confess, I did. *blushes*
cr 5/14 the #2 nd one please
Don't blush. I'm convinced a great majority of the people who play this game did as well.
alligator + eye
Molly - To be honest, having studied Latin helps a lot.
that was for ru
I left that to my oldest. I only know Catholic Latin. Dominus vobiscum.

yep..
lol sorry leslie....
Cos is doing a peri.
since she just left, someone's gotta do the job! :)
I had a feeling you'd say that, cos.:-)
lol :)
cos - just looked at your icon. LOL! I used to like The Golden Girls way back, but I was convinced Bea Arthur was a man in drag, 'cos her voice was so deep.
lol... ive always imagined lucy van pelt from charlie brown was dorothy as a little girl
co's done
15 to go....
cu 8?
similar to the cu9
i'll find it thanks
Apparently Bea Arthur was in the marine corps and was also a truck driver. When she began the military service she was described as 'overbearing and aggressive'. Was she just a feisty Jewish lady or did she have 'issues'. Who knows.
there's a reason she and betty white had a long lasting feud that lasted til bea's death. betty won't share why though. good for her.
yeah.. c's are crushed
Well done, ruru!
when they did the golden girls reunion, they refused to be filmed together.
Well, cos., good for Betty - she's obviously a loyal friend.
holy... how many re7s??
Agreed.
6 re7's i think if i counted right
LA - is that a rhetorical question?
ugh
jac: bea died on my 30th birhday. that was a very bad day for me lol
we played the golden girls that night at my party at the bar all night.
Sorry, cos. It's rotten when people we admire die.
but this way ill never forget her :)
and.. the best part.. your lighting candles serve two purposes cos
re 7/36?
lol yes thats very true ru
LA - re7/36 and plural 8 - computer or medical machine stuff that you can re4. Or to re4 something aloud, maybe??
thx jac
LA - y/w
ok my word list won't go all the way to the U's. its cut off at s's. any suggestion to fix that? otherwise i'll never be able to finish.
on this page? refresh
and i have 13 left. it'd be a shame not to finish lol
i have twice, leslie.
or sign out and sign back in
cos - you mean your list on here?
yes jac
Try clearing your browser. But first press F5 to refresh.
ok just refreshed and now it's cut off at the R's lol
ok trying that instead
lets see. . . . 307 words, just starting, problems with babble connection and exhausted. . . .
Try signing out and signing in again, cos. If not, you'll have to sign out, clear your browser and then sign in again.
ok im using expert now. it's all here now
jmc - if you're that tired and having connection probs., maybe you should give it a miss?
yeah i think that is a good plan jac--night all!
Is Lickety expert working? I'm not sure how it works really.
'Night jmc. Better luck tomorrow. x
it works. just no list feature. its like ur on the web ...
the dreaded r's
they went easier than i expected them to, ru
ra7 please?
more so wanting to jump in the sack
ye... ha
thanks
Speaking of 'the dreaded r's' makes me think of Exwren, who used the icon I made her, 'I HATE RE WORDS!' Haven't seen her here for ages. Has anyone else?
nope.. not me
LA - I thought you were giving us TMI for a moment, then I realised you were clueing the first ra7/32. :-)
ha that would be a bit of a non-sequitir huh
the last st6 please?
st**** apartment
cos - last st6 is a recording room or an artist's room.
thanks leslie...
and jac
y/w, cos.
studio
or use molly's clue
Yes, that. Off to the PB
su5 before the su8 please?
su + answer the front **** (take out a vowel)
thanks molly. didn't have that one.
su5 - posh word for sweat.
thanks! S's finished.
onto the dreaded s's
Are there any letters that aren't 'dreaded'? LOL
Hmmm, maybe the n's.
first to6 please
nope.. over 300 they're all dreaded
Actually, my imagination is going off on one of its tangents here and seeing eachgrid square with dreadlocks.
past tense of the 4 before it cos, to to** the countryside
no wait wrong clue
hot to**** (pl - drinks)
But ignore me. My son reckons I'm 'bonkers'.
You folks who can survive finding 61 C words have a lot of stamina. I just can't maintain interest (nor do I have time) for grids this big.
thanks leslie! 6's done....
Ok, my first complaint about playing babble on an iPad..can
7 left. all 4's and 5's
Dorens....?
Cannot look at list while babbling
Cannot look at list while babbling
Molly - I have the time at the moment because I have no job. Having said that, three quarters of the grid usually goes fast anyway.
jacula is right. if i had a job i wouldnt be on as much as i am. this keeps me sane :)
CanTT
Dorens - my other half gets the grid for me on his iphone when we go on holiday to a place with no internet. However, I have to do the grid on paper just for fun, since keying it in on his phone could cost a bloody fortune. I get lots of books re4 on holiday in Devon.
Dorens vs The iPad, who will win?
Molly - we shall see!
3 left....
That is the ultimate in Babble addiction. Doing it on paper.
*drumroll*
Feel the tension in the air as Dorens does battle!
every time i do it on paper i realize exactly how much monkeying i actually do
Molly - I used to do it on paper when the game first began.
<---Can't remember what "going on holiday" is like. It's been a long time.
Doing Babble on paper is just like what we used to do, i.e. crosswords, before this game came along.
fire...works.....
huzzah cos!
Well done, cos! *~*~*~*~*~*
yay cos
s's are slowing me down
st5/12 (river not far from where I live) = s + to4 of duty, as a soldier does. st6 + the 2 st7's are Scottish for 'dusty'.
st6 adds a vowel at the end of the st5.12. 1st st7 adds a pluralising or verb forming letter. 2nd st7 adds 2 vowels to the end of the st5.
Hope that helps!
st6/24 is a woollen cloth the British bartered with NA Indians. Named after the town in Gloucestershire, England.
However, it's not pronounced like you might think. It rhymes with 'hood'.
Or, perhaps more properly, rhymes with 'bood'.
st8.50 is stronger and bigger, and heftier. The st8 that follows it sounds like a plural.
i'm stuck on the last su 5 and the su 8 and 9
ok.. got the 5
help on the su8 please?
su + consonant + stop for su8
su5 (last) is a disease.
su5 andsu6 (final ones), think of the laughing Australian bird, the kookab***.
not getting the stop part of that clue LA..
thanks JAc.. I have teh su5 now
ce5 word
thanks a lot
fireworks!
ok, the ipad one for now. am back on my trusty macbook. will explore the ipad later... am too bleary from codeine, etc to fiddle around
I'm really slow today
yay leslie!!
onto the dreaded T's
Well done, LA! *~*~*~*~*~*~*
whooooo hooooo LA!!
the new i-pad and the two earlier one are all very fine and much hyped, but IMHO not the best tablet out there
i own a asus transformer tablet..it has flash,an sd slot,a micro sd slot,2 usb slots and a removable keyboard dock for up to 16 hours of battery life and it has a much easier android OS
jac?
you get so used to windows with the desktop rigs, that you have to retrain yourself that adding files, games, deleting things and all other os chores does not have to be bill gates windows difficult:)
... the u's weren't dreaded
the n's were even less dreaded! (only 5 of them, for starters + i am still missing 2 u's, but not for long, haha)
lol,and crossy steps off his soap box

I like the idea that he plays WTF
hey, if you were on facebook and we played you, i WOULD be wtf, i'm sure!
wow.. this IS your grid
it sure is!! what you find at the beach. and one who does it, and comparative too!
really.. wow
WWF is that American wrestling programme, isn't it? He's been watching that a lot since he got made redundant. They seem to do more talking/shouting than actual wrestling.
my grid. and i still have 8 to go
WWF is the dumbest stupidest stuff I've ever seen
can't quit now doren
sadly we have kindergarten kids who love it, and practice it regularly against each other... sometimes people get hurt
>*lays out cookies .... Cookies for words...
i am off for the night, but before i go,i give you crossy,s tidbit of the day.this with is dedicated to my wife,my soul mate,victoria...
“Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot, who calls you back when you hang up on him, who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat, or will stay awake just to watch you sleep… wait for the boy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats, who holds your hand in front of his friends, who thinks you’re just as pretty without makeup on. One who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares and how lucky his is to have you…. The one who turns to his friends and says, ‘that’s her.’â€
niht crossy
ruru - I quite agree about WWF! That's why I avoid watching it.
good night crossy
Crossy - you've been spying on my chap, haven't you?:-)
yes jac.. just weird stuff.
Goodnight, crossy.
I once (about 18 years ago) went to see it live and friends had free tickets, unbelievable - the awfulness & despair is still with me.
Katie - sorry you had that experience. I once got taken to see proper wrestling at Bingley Hall in Birmingham, England (before the hall burnt down - obviously!) and it was great fun. All theatrics and pantomime, of course, but proper wrestling too.
Names like Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks, Pat Roache, Jackie Pallo etc. back in the 70s.
i never got into WWF. my dad and brother did though and i hated wrestlemania pay per view events cause i was forced to choose between that or go to bed early
Good evening Babblers. How is Babbleonia tonight?
oh my goodness. fireworks
I think the worst thing wasn't the show - it was actually very clever, it was that there were WAY too many people there who thought it was real (and I'm talking adults not children), it was more despair with the audience rather than the wrestlers
Yeah Dorens
wtg Dorens
I was at the match where the poor ref got knocked out when he got in the way of Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks charging at each other from opposite sides of the ring.
Katie - was it here in UK?
I loved Big Daddy, we used to have wrestling on tv on a saturday night.
whoooo hooooo Dorens
although i did have one WWF action figure. it was of miss elizabeth :)
good night all
Well done, Dorens! *~*~*~*~*~*~*
yes it was at the NEC. I didn't realise you were in Worcestershire Jacula, we are going to Worcester tomorrow
Katie - where are you coming from to Worcs?
NEC - terrible acoustics!
Tamworth in Staffordshire. Hubby's family is from Worcester (as is he) and Grandma is in hospital so we are off to visit
Oh, not that far from me then, Katie.
No we had to decide where to live when we got together and the only reason we didn't choose Worcester was the house prices as we could afford a much bigger one in Tamworth
I was born in Warwickshire, but have been in Worcestershire for more years than I spent in Warks., now.
Yup, Tamworth was cheaper then.
I love the City but am never climbing to the top of the Cathedral again!
about £50,000 for a 4 bed semi - it made all the difference
Katie - lol. Did you have a 'near death' experience like my ex-hub's best friend did when we climbed to the top of Liverpool Cathedral (the Anglican one, not Paddy's Wigwam)? They had a load of wooden pallets on there and, near to the edge, he stepped backwards off one down to another at a bit too much lower level. He told us his whole life flashed before him. He didn't need to tell us that; w heard him squeak and saw the fear in his eyes.
We've not let him forget it ever since either, not since it happened in 1977.
du 5/16?
maggie - du + extinct bird.
Or try du + 'between a ***k and a hard place.@
it gets really narrow near the top I just had images of being wedged in for the rest of my life. Worse was the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona where I think we took a wrong turn and ended up down narrow spiral stone stairs with a hole running down the middle and no handrail. I only got down by chanting 'one step at a time'. Honestly we were nervous wrecks, everyone else seemed to come down a safer way.
thank you
en 7 & 6?
We still talk about the time that we were watching Alien the movie on tv and the bursting out the stomach scene came on. Mari & I knew about it and braced ourselves. Mr Mari had no idea, screamed and then was so mad at us for not warning him turned off the tv and all the lights and went to bed leaving us laughing in the dark. Mum and I can still laugh for hours about it now
Can I have a clue for the first co6,24?
these are the stairs http://www.greatbuildings.com/cgi-bin/ gbi.cgi/Sagrada_Familia.html/cid_11292 44901_sagrada_fam_09.html
Katie - thanks for the warning about the church in Barcelona. I'm claustrophobic and Beloved doesn't like heights. Perhaps we'll just admire it from outside and below, should be ever get to visit.
There a lovely cafe you can take photos from outside :0)
Oy, that "find a guy" quote is all over the internet. Super schmaltz.
Jeeze, Katy! I couldn't breathe even just looking at that pic of the stairs.
Cafe outside sounds like a good plan!
We had to rush out to the smoking area and get a ciggie as soon as we got down to calm down. I would have had a large drink as well if they had served it!
Hi again Molly. Well, we know Crossy is smaltzy, don't we? However, my guy is, for the most part, a man that makes me feel good.
Nothing wrong with a guy who makes you feel good Jac.
I'm off back to bed to see if I can get more sleep. Thanks for the chat Jacula, and I agree Crossy is smaltzy and proud of it and I think it is a trait to be proud of
hi folks (schmaltz, like stuffed derma. is delicious and rare these days)
Katie - LOL! We're having to give up both smoking and drinking at the moment, due to both being redundant and having no money. He's giving up both first so we don't 'try to kill each other'. I think he means I'm meaner than him. LOL
'Night Katie.x
Hi welki.
Oh Jac we have given up smoking (it will be 7 weeks on Monday) and it is a hard road. Hopefully you will stay strong. I hope you pick up work soon, it's an awful time at the moment
I have a poor, naive friend who showed me a love poem that her current fling emailed her. Said he wrote it. I broke it to her gently that he copied it off the internet. Some people are easily bowled over.
night all *poof*
Well at 6 or 7 quid a packet now, smoking is getting to be more ridiculous a habit than it was before, and there's also the fact that you are treated like a leper if you step outside your home.
Night Katie
Molly, if you want a book of genuine poems written by a couple, I have one that I co-wrote with an editor of mine.
We weren't a couple when we wrote the poems - just two poets sparking off each other's words. We did become a couple for a while some years later but then parted and he's dead now.
That is very nice Jac, good for you. Alas, I currently have more books than I have room for, many of them poetry.
Molly - be careful when you do the book clear out. I still miss many of the books I cleared out about 6 years ago.
I have more books on my shelves still to re4 than I'll possibly live long enough to re4.
Not to mention all the stories to4 from magazines to re4.
I write them sometimes, but I think I re4 more than I will ever write.
I'm off for the night now. Beloved is up and preparing for a day's work. Time for me to slumber, without earplugs for once. See you all next grid.
wht, the only co6-24 is pt the co4-5 before it.....a type of bread.
