I would have stuck out the 744 if I hadn't had a bridge date
dart and ru both finished, I see... was wondering about that, lol!
ha4
did you see who finished first rbud?
there were lots of clues jilli
I think it was dachef? I don't know if they show in order in the archive or not.
(did I spell that right?)
It did look like fun -- I did a bit of it that night
anyway Dach was the first while I was playing earlier, not really sure if someone did it before that.
If the rankings mean anything BR was first. Darts is about 5th
ru showed before dart, if that list is in order
rankings? or archives, that's what I was looking at, just wanted to see who all made it. Amazing amount of people, really.
I finished -- it took me 4 hours and I think I was 3rd or 4th
from the rankings, it shows ru as not having finished some grids
A lot said they wouldn't do it and then changed their minds. It became a very, very large challange just thinking about it!
hi, I was done after a little more than 200.
but it was fun, everyone was in happy mood
Congrats, ARB!
Ru doesn't always finish. Dart...is dart. Heclaimed halw-way in about a half hour!

howdy golfnut and ty\
Hi
howdy herin
Crossie I would take that t-shirt. I finished that damn thing at 4:30am I was bloody determined to do it
i give you congrats indeed herin! i alas, did not finish
I used more words and the list. Bless them
hi, herin, I just answered your mail.
I want to know, truthfully, how many people actually finished the monster without using a list. I got to about 385 words and called it quits.
{{crossy}}
I'll be right back, have to make aperos for husband and DIL
I had a first birthday to go to today so I had no option
I would have given it a red hot crack if I didn't ahve to go out today
141! What a SWEET number!
Hi jay
Morning all
I see you finished too herin--i did but it took FOREVER
(((ruby)) crossy did not finish the monster grid
how far did you get?
i got to 300 or so
which is WAY more than normal
Jay I stayed up till 4:30am. Stupid life got in the way of not having more fun
quite amazing for me actually
well i GOT up at 4:30 and it took until almost 11. Shameful really
Cross yes I think anyone that even attempted to even do the grid needs a big pat on the back
back, sorry
of course i see today we are rewarded with no S
so that means I can get a t-shirt anyway?
It is ok Ruby
it was great fun, especially as we watched the reactions of people entering the grid
the most profanity I've seen in here LOL
That is why I logged in and said hi
I thought it was great fun and it, too, was the most words I've ever gotten (380-something), but knew I couldn't possibly get any more than that without devoting the rest of my day
now I will (rudely) ignore those upstairs, and try for a few words before lunch
true. i have a lot of laundry and vacuuming in my schedule today!
Ruby at least Max was at home when you found him. poor you and poor Max at least he can run free over the rainbow bridge
yes, one of our babble friends sent me the rainbow bridge -- was it you? It made me cry but also feel better
Wasn't me but it is something i talk about.
I had never heard of it, but it was lovely
I do like that there is a cartoon around of a big fancy pearly gates and a boring field. The boring field is were the people and their pets go
in the movie, Chocolat, one of the older parishioners has a talk with the young priest about whether dogs have souls
I remember that
<-- loves that movie
I will just have Johnny deep thanks
but Alfred Molina is wonderful, too (just not exactly handsome lol)
True
Every dog must have a soul, somewhere deep inside Where all his hurts and grievances are buried with his pride. Where he decides the good and bad, the wrong way from the right, And where his judgement carefully is hidden from our sight. A dog must have a secret place, where every thought abides, A sort of close acquaintance that he trusts in and confides. And when accused unjustly for himself, He cannot speak, Rebuked, He finds within his soul, the comfort he must seek. He'll love, tho'he is unloved, and he'll serve tho'badly used, And one kind word will wipe away the times when he's abused. Altho' his heart may break in two, his love will still be whole, Because God gave to every dog an understanding Soul!
well dog backwards is God so that says everything
thank you, crossy, that brought forth some tears. However, chow chows are not forgiving. Kick one, once, and he will never come near you again or forgive
there was a New Yorker carton say that about dog and god
I got to hold a 13 week old fluff ball today. SO cute
picture of a dog with a cartoon box above his head"dog = god and the cat next to him with the box saying "god = cat"
Ruffino is now about a 25 lb fluff ball. After this past month of incredible weight gain, I can no longer pick him up!
I prefer cats not a fan of the in your face lick lick lick
a lot of people feel that way, but chows are so aloof that a lick from one is a big deal and Rufie is a licker LOL
there is another that shows a cat and a dog being fed,and the dog is thinking"they feed me,and keep me warm, and play with me..they must be gods" and the cat is thinking "they feed me and keep me warm, and play with me,I must be god"
did I say 25 lbs? closer to 30! and only 4 months old
hahah, crossy
i cannot wait till my brother bull mastiff puppy gets his growth spurt!!:))
<-- loves bull mastiffs!
but I think they're not allowed in France
and anyway, 2 chows is a full-time job
this one is still under 4 months and 45 pounds and paws the size of bread and butter plates;))
and he'd probably eat the b and b plate, too, or at least carry it around....
he is already being trained not to eat shoes
Rufie finds a shoe upstairs and then runs like crazy and takes it outside
lol
it is too cute not to laugh
(won't be so cute when he weighs 80 lbs and takes me with the shoe
lunch time (almost) see you later
{{crossy and herin}}
((ruby)) 5:40 am here.may try for a bit more sleep now
hi everyone
Hello everyone!
morning, quite a switch rom yesterday....
Yes, definitely! How are you?
did a lot of people finish yesterday?
More than I would have guessed.
Sounds like quite a few people did. I got to 631 words and then collapsed.
And hi Molly and Kaplan!
Need to take care of the kiddos. Poof!
A little over a hundred. I can't be held accountable for accurate counting on my first cup of coffee.
never got to finish, as licekty wouldnt show all of my words ,and neither did the word list. was left with 100, and too tired to try to figure out what words i had left... kind of su cked
That happened to a few people Ivesy. What a rip off. I feel bad for anyone who worked and worked to try and finish and was stumped by a non-working word list.
really made me mad.. . but oh well, just a game .
this is true.
Ivesy, what browser do you use? I was wondering yesterday if this was an Internet Explorer problem.
i sometimes think that the size of the grid affects everyone's psychological state for the entire day.
explorer 8 ... i noticed a problem with puttin words in after about 400 words.. they werent showing up as entered in either spot
happened to me too ivesy ... stopped at 147 to go yesterday
stopped at 100 ... well now i have learned my lesson, with a grid that big, wont plan on finishing. obvious problems
Well, yesterday was certainly an interesting showing of how invested people are in solving these things.
yesterday's grid should have been a two day allowance
Ivesy, next time there is a big grid, try using Firefox and see if that helps.
I agree Jean, did you have a nice birthday?
yes, but I still have four more nights of celebrations
Hooray for extended birthdays!
I agree! This has been a first for me
good idea molly will have to remember that.. and i agree esprit..specially with the problems people were having
I have a cousin who celebrates her birthday month and she sure enjoys it
Hi Maggie
Hi Molly
am waiting patiently for my next year bd, as i can collect soc. security... this year will be a stepping stone lol
I had no time for such a grid, but it was fun finding words like telephonics.
I don't have time for the big ones either Kap. But it was fun watching everyone race to the finish.
We are unlikely to have such a big grid for the next few years. what my little bit of fun was ...
actually words were easier than in the small grids. prob. becuz of all the extensions
was watching everyone start out when they saw the 744
i thought so too, could do no wrong.
me too kap, they were hilarious
I think I had more fun observing than actually finding words.
morning all

Afternoon All,
Afternoon All,
How are we all today - I was disappointed in a way that I couldn't do the big grid - got to about 250 and then we went out - and stayed out till about 0100 this morning!
Hi Kazzer
I managed about 300 before giving in
I love grid with really long words in them - and there were plenty yesterday
hello everyone, I wasnit able to Babble yesterday, were there 744 words? Wow.
yes Annie - opened up the browser and had to reload it cs I didn't believe it
hello everyone
{{annie}}
LOL. I probably would have started but never would have finished.
hi Ruby
(((ruby))) did you finished yesterday's grid? :)
this is a quick visit before i go and dish up sunday lunch - we very rarely eat it at lunch time - usually have an evening meal but lovely roast water buffalo today with roasts and lots of healthy veg
finish? foal!! I got to 380 something and then quit
who has time?
Burt's daughter just hooked me up with skype with my son who is in India -- what a treat!
744..must have had lots of S's
but we had to use her computer, couldn't get the sound on mine
Ruby, that is great!
lovely - you will be able to speak easily now and it free - or it is for me
the best part of yesterday was watching people's reactions when they entered
! Much profanity! lol
yeah - i missed all of that - anyhow off to stare at water buffalo and veg
I still don't really know how to use it as that was my first call
water buffalo? is that like Mark Ruffalo?
Ruby!
yay a reasonable sized grid. . . i was afraid it was going to be 12 words today
annie, do you have skype?
hi jmc
it would be fun to hear our various voices
and accents
no, ruby. I just about know how to turn a computer on. You are speaking a foreign language.
i have skype but used it only twice. . . once to set up the Washington State meet up
and John looked good, could even see his blue eyes!
nice ruby!
ruby, that is really cool.
(talk about speaking a foreign language.....)
he was telling me about the cows in the road in Chennai, I started laughing and he said "Did you ever hit a deer? These are much bigger!"
I am happy, can't stop smiling!
Annie: I am totally inept on the computer, can only send e-mails and play a couple of games
:)
i am so glad for you . . .it is hard not to see your kid for a long time no matter how old they are
ruby, that is exactly where I am...computerwiese
and mine is 48!
* omit E at end*
Hello everyone
morning all!

HI ((((Mom)))) and uusue
hi jmc, ruby, mom, annie!
good morning ((Ruby and Annie))
good morning uusue and jmc
it is so cold here but at least the rain has stopped
it has rained every day since DIL arrived
a much ca**er grid today
did any of you finish yesterday?
I did!
good for you !
congrats godthaab and good morning
indeed mom i was just afraid it would be teeny tiny
Not me!
it was like a grand pajama party; peeps who came on stayed on for hours!
Thanks. good morning
wtg godthaab!
hello god!
{{molly}}
I stopped at 300, couldn't stand it any longer
Hi rubyfoo
*throws belated confetti at godthaab*
morning Molly
Thanks!
besides I think my sweetie was getting hungry :-)
is it your b-day, god?
i liked that part of it ruby. . . unfortunately it was a day i couldn't spend much time in babbleland
I was there at the flip, and I thought "This is history in the making" I had to finish!
but it was great to see all the lurkers come out and play and talk
hi godt!
Someone talked about 744 T shirts.
I thought it was all very funny and fun
i was glad to get nbt and nbs
the chat was really rolling yesterday. So many different conversations going
Crossy was talking about t shirts
crossy talked about t-shirts "I survived the big one of 21 April" or whatever
it was fun, sorry I couldn't finish either although I did get over half way, which is probably more words than I've ever found in a grid!
and we decided you didn't have to finish
it was like old time mom and i hope it keeps up
Ironically, I don't think I will have time to finish this one today!
same for me, sue
It was like being at a marathon and watching as people crossed the finish line. I had no interest in being in the race, but I was glad for everyone who finished. It seemed so important to them.
yes, jmc, it was. I really enjoyed it.
i got it done to 500 left which seemed pretty reasonable since i went to a baseball game that went into extra innings
half way today and a little more than half yesterday. I'm easily satisfied
haha godthaab that is life in babbleland
and the Nationals won, that is much better than babbling
they weren't playing the Cubs, were they?
i found 31 words on my blackberry until the score what tied
you're talking to a perennially disappointyed Mets fan!
marlilns
Thank God it didn't happen on a weekday
marlins and they will probably be rained out today
<-- was in NY for the '69 miracle
jmc, Umber pitched a perfect game yesterday for the White Sox...they showed the ninth inning during the Yankee game..it was majorly exciting!
our company had Marlins season tickets but it was only the 1st 2 yrs
WOW that must have been great to watch!
I have missed the camaraderiea (sp) that seems to have been missing here lately. I do enjoy you all
ah, we saw a bit of the White Sox game at a restaurant but no sound, so I don't think Frank knew it was a perfect game in the making - he is a HUGE Sox fan!
<-- loves mom
I was jumping up and down..pretty good for an old lady...it was great
haha mom that is the latin plural there!
<-- loves Annie -- keep up that jumping up and down
lol annie
<--- loves Ruby
i bet annie i have yet to see a perfect game
oops, it is
hello all
hi kje
{{kje}}
Annie, so glad you have your oomph back.
((KJE)) good morning
DIL and I started to do some gardening but it is soooo cold
gm mom!
I do believe KJE was another of the finishers yesterday
hi kje!
"oomphie annie"
*throws confetti on kje*
I listened to the game when Drysdale pitched a perfect game during the world series....We all stopped working and just stood there in awe...that was a hundred years ago
my oomph has gone by-the-by
Ruby, what is the weather like at Christmas where you live?
how many people actually finished the monster?
kje, did you finish yesterday's grid?
one never knows
it was not a hundred years ago Annie, that would make you older than dirt and you are not that old
matter of fact you and my dad are the same age
it was in the 60s
we had a lot of snow in Dec and then none for the rest of the winter. Had about 18 really cold days , then very warm in |March and miserable now. Can't generalize
I wonder how old dirt is
Weeeellll, not that old. harummphhh
ah, Shay and Whitney want us and her parents to go to Paris for Christmas next year
GO!
A little over a hundred people finished. I counted on my first cup of coffee, so don't know what the accurate figure is.
with all this rain, the house is getting filled with dirt and is starting to look older than.....
probably depends on the dirt. . .i have some in my garden i just made last year in the compost pile
<--- not overly thrilled about that since I have never flown
Wow Mom! That will be nice.
I'm pretty sure there is some under my bed that is ancient
nice mom!
Paris in Dec might be rainy but rarely any snow
and it is soooo beautiful!
<--Sympathizes with Mom. Doesn't like flying.
warmer than here
but I can't imagine having Christmas without my parents.
it is soo cool to see a sunrise or sunset from an airplane. . .not to mention the stars mom
and our other son
I used to love flying but not any more
<---- will not be looking out any windows
same here, ruby
I finished yesterdays. I started at like 10 in the am and finished after 11 last night
wtg vive!
gm, everyone! anyone have a clue for the lone H?
hello vive! You were determined
*throws confetti on vive*
Congratulations to you
one time, on a flight to Sou Africa (before 9/11), there was a meteor shower and the pikot let me sit on the floor of the cockpit to see it
*throws confetti a Vive*
yes, mom. or temporarily insane
I have seen Paris a ouple times in December and January - gray and rainy, but no snow : (

I cleaned out my fridge yesterady - every single condiment had been expired for at least a year
oh, kje, I need to do that!
guess you will be going to the grocery
oh poo pickles never expire. . . those dates are fiction
I am sure I have things that expired in 2009 or so
if it hasn't changed color it is fine
well, I have been using the dijon a couple times/week and haven't died, but it expired 12/2009
phantom ... fidget
the mayo, I rarely use, expired 2/2011.... I didn't have the guts to use that, seems much iffier than mustard
mayo is riskier than mustard but basically if it smells okay it is fine too. . . the risk with mayo is the eggs and they are not an issue with commercial mayo
it is the problem with being single... stuff expires before you can use it all
small jars is all i ever buy anymore
it is the same here with just the two of us.

yesterday's grid was huge but I enjoyed it
did you finish? (knows she did)
Good. Having fun is what it's all about. : )
yes I did, along with many others
Quite an achievement.
In stamina alone!!
yes indeed
I took lots of breaks so it took me longer than some
doing well here so far, 33 left and not listed. bbs
I read a book instead. lol
It was a great one Jac suggeated.
What book Hego?
the Thirteenth Tale
Ah, a ghost story.
not really
My sister is reading a spooky one called The Night Circus.
a spooky old English mansion type story.
I read that
very different
The Night Circus is a terrific book. Not spooky at all. Well worth the investment of a few evenings!
I liked it, very different. creative.
putting these books on my list. Hello all.
I continued to visit the Cirque de Reve in my dreams for a couple of months after I finished it.
Hi Red!
Hi Red, you will enjoy The Night Circus.
I can believe that Fuzzy
Hego, another great book is "Cutting for Stone" I can't remember the author, but I haven't been able to pick up another book yet because that one was so good.
I rad that and loved it also.
the Fistula foundatio is a real charity in Africa.
Yes, it was epic and wonderful. I had to go and learn more about Haille Sallese and the history of Ethiopia.
They give young girls their lives back.
There was a PBS Frontline episode on the Fistula foundation.
and being a nurse made even more interesting to me.
I like front line, and also does anyone watch Independent Lens on PBS?
I saw that1
yes Red
I watch both Re
women everywhere should see that Fronline.
I find the circumstances surronding getting a fistula very sad...
I just discovered independent lens, I am amazed at all the different topics they cover. yesterday was about the electric car...and the development.
agreed
I contributed the next day.
agreed times three.
A worthwhile charity.
It's terrible the way women in Africa suffer.
My sister usually recommends good books. The Night Circus is on my "to read" list.
Not only in Africa, but middle east as well
read it Molly.
yes fuzzy
You won't regret it
meanwhile, I hate this grid!
Yes, I am at 23 and ready to call it quits!
I have 48...not thrilled, but after yesterday...
yesterday's was fun, I got to 200 without even breaking a sweat.
I like ti recognize words, not guess them. Cheez!
Have a wonderful day all!
ty and you too
yesterday was fun, but it went on an awfully long time. I never finished, but I got over 500.
that's great!
I noticed there wasn't a huge amount tht finished.
More people finished than I thought would. I had no idea people would hunker down and commit to a grid that size. I guess I underestimated Babble Addiction.
Me too
I had a lot of time on my hands luckily. I never pulled up Lickety so I had no chance to finish.
without a list for long ones, I foget which words I've entered. lol
I keep trying the same ones.
I feel bad for the people whose word list froze and could not finish. What a rip off.
oH, that's bad.
I like Lickety but I find because I dont have expert, I dont like to keep switching screens. My grid towards the end was very slow and running scripts, but really I didnt finish because i didnt...
I use split screen
two windows
I might should but...well whatever. I just do what I can, and move on!
right attitude!
It's good not to take this too seriously Red. : )
Red has her act together
I have so much stress right now hego and Molly, that there would be now way I could take it seriously....even right now I am working...
I have a few surveillance screens running in the backgroumd...
sorry to hear
Well, I love it, I just have to get used to this.....
and get the other person who was doing my job horribly to stop trying to train me!
you will
we'll see. and the good news, no health department alerts that I can see for the weekend!!!
that's good.
moving on, I am adjusting to this new role, so I apologize it's always on my mind.
when is the old dept head moving on red?
you'll settle in.
Hi Crossy
howdy hego
She is actually responsible for another part of the Quality dept.
ahh then here is hoping she stays on her own side of the pasture and lets you do your thing

oh, it's not made of bacon; it just looks like bacon
of course silly
but you can get them to pack some with you when you go i am sure
good thing there's air freshener inside -- it gets pretty stinky underground, and if there's one thing dead people can't stand...
well,if your gonna be laying there so long you may as a well have a bacon air freshner

ok, now 8-14 inches of snow thru tuesday.. ugh.hellooooo its april !!
Ivesy, you have my sympathies. I would be crushed if we got snow this late in April.
. kids havent had snow days this winter, looks like they may get some... sure library will be open and they will all come trooping in to play on the computers
The library is open when school is closed?
yes. surprised they dont have us open on sundays
Our libraries are run by the county. If school is closed, they are closed too. They are open on Sundays only during the school year and for a short day.
dont think we have money to be open on sundays. had some major cuts this last budget period.. we cut a few hours off our sat schedule and from children room . guess its based on population, have to stay open so many hours.
Good afternoon!
hi car!
Hi Ivesy!
<---Thinks the hard core Babble people are hungover today.
Hi Molly!!!!
You may be right!

OK. I am off to hang with my kids before i head out for afternoon service. Have a great day!!!!!
I just like seeing the fireworks
thanks car, you too
No, I did some of it. But I would have to be sitting at the computer all day to finish one that big.
lol ru
well has everyone got a babble hangover from yesterday?
Yes, we were just discussing that. Perfect timing.
guess it helps here, comes on at 10 pm so we get a start before going to bed, then finished it in the afternoon before LATE supper
( study break from paley aquinas and hume atm )

I know what you mean Carlee. Big grids are not my thing. I'm glad everyone who dove in had fun with it.
this size today is perfect for me...when i do them ( just updated profile)
I had a lot of fun with it yesterday.,.. I liked the challenge....
Later on when we old geezers talk about the big one of 2012.. we'll remember it wistfully
i'll remember backing away and running to hick and plantinga
I kept hearing the Chariots Of Fire music, as people worked their way to the finish line.
hehehe funny
*Imagines a Babble nursing home, where everything is lime green and gold*

Ruru, I found a great wine quite by accident. Catena, Malbec. It was on sale...
No, I didn't finish, but I had fun
oh.. Catena is a good producer
i rather read...so I can pick up and put down..usually takes me a day or 2 to watch any movie...about 2ce a year I do a thon...wherein I watch 4 or 5 movies in a day...and that is it
I found a great one the other day 2009 Chateau Montmirail Vacqueyras Cuvee des Deux Freres ($20) ..killer bottle of wine.

Hello Babblers.
gm wht
Hi Wht
hi
A more manageable grid today, I see.
Which is good because the number one place you find the word unmanageable is in The 12 Steps. : )
I am stuck with 13 left
help with the E pls. I have ec5, ed4 and em4
Hello, My name is Will and I am a Babble addict and I have come to accept that my grids are unmanageable.
lol Will
et 4 peri
hi wht, did you do the puzzle yesterday?
ty ruru
welcome will, and good for you for accepting your addiction... now step one......
I saw how big it was and jumped in, even though I knew I could never finish.
sorry i havent reached step one yet!
when do the donuts and coffee come out?
Powerless Wht. You have to admit you are powerless over Babble.
soon I hope ru
oh yes powerless.. ty molly
*Puts out donuts, coffee and literature*
love these meetings!!
Molly, I can quit Babble any time I want to.
yay! donuts!
ah, thanks Molly, chomp
I just don't want to.
at least I don't dream in Babble
The speakers meetings are tough though Ivesy. Just listening to how people neglect their spouses, children and responsibilities just to Babble makes me want to cry. But there is hope.
I can quit, I've done it 2 or 3 times.
Sometimes I see yellow squares when I am dozing off.
but my bed cover is green and yellow and has tiles on it..what does that mean?
And not just before my head hits the keyboard.
: D
lol, perhaps you're into quilting ru??
help with P pls. I have pe6, pe5,pi4x2 and pu4

do you even know what peri looks like or are you imagining a blue balloon with a skirt and boots
oops.. now im showing my other side
ROFL molly
ah, that reminds me of an evening when daughter (in teens at the time) was on her way out in a very short leather skirt - I made her come back in and change, "but Grammie though it was cute" said she
The prefix "peri" means "around". As in round, round get around, I get around.
lol
sounds like ivsey has been around the block..lol
Yeah, Grammies will do that.
Ivesy is another one Ru. You know, librarian? Wink, wink.

It is cool and rainy.
It is not bad. And we really need the rain. So it is good.
still not getting that ti6,

not getting the thing to hold tie in place, bar, clip, ??
ah, that's it, thanks Molly

I am much more used to "tac" on the end of that word.
ah, that would do it too
Hi Shirl
we don't often see men wearing shirt/tie around here - very casual dress
Casual dress is a good thing. People are more comfortable that way.
yes, for sure
i know i am :)
clue for the me7, please.

hi sue
ty Molly.. hi everyone
My clan, we are not dress up people. We are always the ones squirming at formal occasions.

Hi Sue and Aloy

Yay for Wht!
wtg Will
yay for wht, congrats!!!!!!
yay wht!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I still have 41 - must stop talking and look for words
we're interviewing for a few jobs so have been seeing more suits, which is rather funny since none of us were business wear
but it does show respect when applying for a position, I think
true, but i think you can still look professional with the suit -- these days anyway
esp. if the suit isn't well fitting
I've been retired 20 years, far removed from the business world
Good day all. Happy Babbling.
bye, wht.. hagd too
bye, wht!

That's funny. I mentioned that movie a while ago.

is that the one movie with the girl with red hat on the cover?
I don't think so. It's an old Alec Baldwin/Nicole Kidman movie.

i wantt o see "malice in wonderland" too
Is Once on tonight?
yes. new episode. it's about Bael and the town stranger
woot! Once is back!
next week will focus on Geppetto and what happened to his son
Cos, you are such an aficionado on that show : )
lol i know. its kinda sad because everyone on FB goes to me when they have a question about the show :)
the werewolf professor from hogwarts is a word.

I really miss LOST. The guy that played Desmond was on Fringe this week and it was so good to see him on screen again.
just a diff. middle letter

molly --- i know what happens in the finale of LOST --- but should i still watch the show anyway? it's on my netflix queue
ama -- doctor group
just got a bit of a surprise, am home alone and suddenly hear voices in the next room! hubby's baseball game just came on his laptop, whew!
scary, flosey! :-)
Cos, I think LOST was one of the most epic things ever on TV. I highly recommend it.
lol good thing it isnt the middle of the night

that's for sure cos
ok even if i know where they really are,r ight?
thanks
with a partner, a 22-year-old son, a dog, and two cats, I am never alone and it is never really very quiet here :-)
You can't figure the entire show based on the finale. There is a lot more to it than that.
when i am home alone and paco starts barking at something -- itgets creepy.. its usually jut the wind
ok great molly -- thanks! will watch it when i finish the old V tv show
we're on a small farm, neighbours are not very close - but probably could hear if I screamed
city lot here, train tracks 1/2 mile away, nope. Not quiet. Not city noisy, but definitely not quiet :-)

Molly, do you watch Fringe? We love it. do you know if it's going to go for a 5th season?
Yes Bich, I love Fringe. Don't know about Season 5 yet.
just checked. fox hasnt announced yet for either fringe or alcatraz
If it goes through Season 5, it will run on TV
bbl, hubby just returning from trip up the mountain to collect firewood
wait.. wait. ...
windfalls
molly!!! they renewed alcaztraz!
fireworks
I read that Fringe has filmed two different ends for Season 4, in case of cancellation.
I'm not surprised Alcatraz was renewed.
Glad they renewed Alcatraz, but I thin Fringe is the better show. Unfortunately, not too many people watch it.
I am a big Lance Reddick fan; ever since The Wire
yay cos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
woot cos
You really have to be on your game to follow Fringe. This week made me think a lot.
Which is probably why people don't watch it. The general "want" is for mindless entertainment.
Right Molly. I get confused too. Didn
't bolivia have a baby last season. And wasn't Captain Broyles killed off on the other side?
The change in the time line, due to Peter being eradicated by The Observers changed history. The baby died and Broyles was never killed. It's confusing.
Must have missed that. And Bolivia is much nicer this season
The baby story line was explained by the observer when Peter mind melded with him. I think that was two episodes ago.
Where was I? Playing Babble too much
The episode where Peter melds with the dying observer was pretty cool. It explains a lot about the observers, who they are and where they came from.
I have 111 words and 1111 points. I love little babble stat moments like this.
could someone give me a clue for either of the 7s, and spoil my row of 1s for me? ;)
nm, got the de7
de7/40 = base 10
thanks, sue, saw it as soon as I opened Lickity for the letters.
ah :-)
now I have 112 words and 1151 points. Bye, little row of 1s.
oh well :-)
hello from cold and rainy RI
Hi from rainy NC.
hi mixi..we need it but it is depressing
It's chilly and rainy here in the National Capital Region, too. We do need the rain, though.
hi seain
we need it too. just a light steady rain. not real dark and dreary.
hello westford and mixi
yeah, light grey and steady here too.
i did shut the windows this AM though -- 60F was cool enough for indoors.
I think I'll make some chicken soup..have a recipe for Mexican soup with avocado and tostitos
hi from sunny SSI
hi flosey..enjoy!
hi, flosey
hi seain
we've had lots of sun and warm for months, so chilly rain for a day or three is not the end of the world. :)
oh yes, we do need the rain - have had our share lately
this is normal for April..our beautiful warm weather was just a tease
too wet to get into the garden but hubby has lots of seeds started inside
the rain took us from red flag to orange flag for fire threat here.
almost everywhere you look, in fact
Hi to my fellow babblers! How is everyone doing today
hi Min
yesterday, a bunch of us erected a greenhouse for a friend of ours.
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! YAY!
hello, minver.

hi min we're talking weather
I have 30 left..it's slow going

finished this morning. just stopped by to chat while hubby finishes sleeping.
but now at least I can say nbt and nbs
like ha5/16
and it is now time for crossy,s quote of the day!!!
don't have that
One evening Mr. Rudolph Block, of New York, found himself seated at dinner alongside Mr. Percival Pollard, the distinguished critic. "Mr. Pollard," said he, "my book, _The Biography of a Dead Cow_, is published anonymously, but you can hardly be ignorant of its authorship. Yet in reviewing it you speak of it as the work of the Idiot of the Century. Do you think that fair criticism?" "I am very sorry, sir," replied the critic, amiably, "but it did not occur to me that you really might not wish the public to know who wrote it." -- Ambrose Bierce
hi all,10 left and don't want to list. need help pls.
nm will go to the list
like that one crossy
lol crossy
hi peri what do you need?

Yay flosey !! that must have been some last word lol

Hi Min. No, I don't get into the big grids. I made the ic4.

No Flosey, I think Cross said something about making t-shirts.
ah, thanks Mixi, will (try) to remember that
two animals..one misspelled
I'd wear it with pride, Molly
and now, out to absorb some of this gorgeous sunshine
bb at flip
I was worried that was going to be our swan song..half expected Dr G to announce he was ending Babble
Anyone can feel free to copy that image and do with it what they want. I don't know a thing about having t-shirts printed and I think it would be a huge task to take orders.
oh my, whatever would we do
Not to mention the "money exchange" issues that have happened here.
hope we never have to find out
West, you worry too much : )
Goodbye flosey! I'll see you tomorrow in the chat log.
it's my form of entertainment
enjoy that sunshine flosey ours is liquid today

Hi uusue2! How are you doing? Welcome back to grid.

And it's a nice drink of water for Mother Earth, on Her Day.
reading back molly, and you are quite correct.been thinking on it and the money transfer issues in the past and it is best if we create our own babble t-shirts.i have a screen shot of the 744 grid and if anyone would like it,just mail me and i will pass it along
M's Moved
M's Moved 9 left
I think that is for the best, Cross. All things considered. I believe Cafe Press will take an image and put it on a t-shirt. I don't know how their quality is though. Maybe we can share ideas on how people can create their own shirts. It will be fun to see them if it's done.
when i get my shirt done,i will share prices etc and give you all a pic how it came out
will be a bit of fun actually sharing our pics on your take on the shirt
our*
I think it will too.
A's Activated! 5 left
they do have transfer paper to print in your printer and iron onto a t-shirt, haven't used it but should work
also fabric paints and crayons:)
That is a good idea Yarn Lady. My printer isn't high quality enough to do that, but for those who have good printers, that would be an option. I'm sure if we brain storm we will come up with lots of good ideas.
Go Min!
I've used the fabric paints and they heat set easily with your iron---I only half finished yesterday but it was fun with so many words available
I am not artistic, so a printed image would work better for me. But there are many clever people here, it will be interesting to see what folks come up with.
amato
oops. sorry
Not even a word, a typo. Time for tea....

yesterday's grid was like shooting fish in a barrel - working for words is less fun!
I felt like I had done about five grids worth of words, and still only got 2/3 through it ..
I loved yesterday's grid, other than it was huge.... it was fun to find a root word and then fly with it... beat it to death, until all possible variations were found !
Hi everyone... :-)
yes. I finished half, and I do wish I had finished it, but there wasn't time
count for the lone h please

min - I wish I had that on a couple of weeks ago, when I got pulled over by a state policeman, for throwing a banana peel out of my car window!
I was born with a ca 4/6 over my face and if you put any stock in mythology and folklore, it was said to indicate psychic powers and good luck, among other things :-)
into the WOODS, mind you, not someone's lawn!
Scofflaw
ooh, I have heard of that diane! I was driving in Ireland years ago, and the radio host was doing a whole show about it.

My cat just walked on the remote and did something
I just unwrapped my cat from some wrapping paper she was eating :-P
They love paper.
The cat pressed buttons and I have no idea what she did
my cat gnaws on the remote if I let her get near it
OK the cat just taught me something new about these buttons

I think teachers do not get enough credit
or enough pay :-)
That is true. And it bothers the crap out of me that some parent's think that teachers should actully parent their snotlings
fortunately at the university level I don't get too much of that!
Uni students can be just as feral as prepies
indeed - I have one from last semester that is refusing to admit he cheated, and is being a total annoyance about it
Grrr
I had that happen when I was at tafe. (community college). someone tried to copy my work. didn't happen
fortunately I am retiring so he is going to be someone else's problem :-)
this was in a lab - he would sign in and then leave, come back and ask other students for their data
But that person needs to acknowledge not to be a dumb ass
It is better to admit your screw up and get a minor penalty than get expelled
he failed the course and will have to take it again
evening all
