I am, thanks! I am finally walking well and able to do a full day (or week) in a classroom no problem. Looking for a full-time, semi-permanent position, too, but not worried. There is enough work as a substitute that if I need to take another year and build up more references I can make it.

indeed, that is so, Norma -- and around here a lot of the teachers who didn't retire (their savings having dwindled alarmingly) are starting to retire now as the investments get stronger... I am confident I will have something regular for employment in the next 12 months.

it is a very democratic place as people with different ideas can manage (mostly) to get along
