very quiet in here tonight
hey, flosey. just coming up for air when i noticed your post. had a good day, hun?
yes, a quiet one
hubby still bringing the apples into storage, he had help today
good pickings, flosey?
how about you, rose?
what sort of apples?
it was hydro day, flosey, lol, say no more.
yes, he worked very hard battling the tent caterpillers and seems he won the fight, the shed will be full
we have gravenstein, (my favourite - best for cooking) yellow pippin, greening, pear apple, (sometimes referred to as asian apple, belle de coup - or something like that, it's new to our orchard, a few more but I don't remember the names
I do have a bit of aging memory loss that is often embarrassing
hey Granny, whats the weather like down your way? Its been a very wintery day here, roads closed due to snow in the blue mountains, Canberra and Goulburn
my goodness, flosey. i bet they all absolutely scrumptious.
Hi all -- was out for dinner, then glued to the rerun of the Biden-Ryan debate. Yay Joe!
hi jilli, where did you go?
Seaside, with Pat and Dorothy and another couple of their friends
Patrick Taylor, that is. He's happy about NY Times and Globe & Mail Best Seller lists for a couple of his books
diz, damp but not too cold. altohough we have the heater going. and i'm wearing knee-high socks which come over my knees and a third the way up my thighs, under very thick track dacks.
granny, my cosuin in Sydney said they had snow
we sure did Jilli.....whereabouts is your Cousin?
yes, jilli. a very cold arctic blast has hit the eastern seaboard. fortunately it missed us this year.
I read one of his books, jilli, quite entertaining
In Sydney, diz -- not sure exactly where. I also have cousins in Canberra and Melbourne and Frenchs Forest.
flosey, read more -- which one did you read? They get better and better.
are you just coming into Winter then diz & rose?
lol, no flosey, we are supposed to be heading into summer
No Flos...we are supposed to be in spring
can't remember the name right now, would have to look it up
that's what I thought, was getting confused
nasty blast of winter just to make you appreciate Spring all the more
it was a year or so ago Jilli
picked it up at Munros
our library has them all, flosey
you're confused?? try living here. you go out in several layers, which you can peel off or add to as the weather turns warm, cold, warm
sounds like someone is going to cuddle up to Don
hey ruru
Weather not much better today in QLD - warm but really high winds! Strange after rain yesterday and really high temps the day before! Thought it was Melbourne that had 4 seasons in a day!!!
hmmm, *thinking* i know , i know, shouldn't have to think about it.lol
I'll put my copy into the OAP library down here
good idea
didn't you know, liz, we are all moving into the tropics.
Sounds fine to me - but leave out the humidity!
that's what i am not looking forward to, darwin's weather in melbourne. yuch!!!
yuch indeed - not that I've been to Darwin yet - gets pretty humid here too

hi BR and Granny
Hello, Rose
hey nanette and babrab
How are you feeling today, Rose?
ps4! dont disturb the solemn mood ...
babrab, i lost it tonight. i'm just not handling this persistent pain. i know it will eventually settle, but i want it to do so RIGHT NOW!!
how are you, buddy? nice and level day for you, i hope?
I do not blame you. Will your doc write a script for a stronger pain med?
My mood is as variable as the weather
yes, but i'm trying to do without it. but today was hydro, and i'm always a little weepy and sore after it. i use the stronger meds on hydro days.
Rose I am surpised that the pain still lingers, how long has it been now?
Why endure the pain if you do not have to?
may be your name should be melbourne, where we are known to have all 4 seasons in one day.
it's nearly 4 months, nanette, but don't forget i am dealing with fibromyalgia at the same time.
ah yes I had forgotten that
lol, my shin and back of the knee are the worst areas. and my PT pointed out that i am doing 1 hour of constant challenging exercise.

How is your emotional health, Rose ... trauma and a chronic illness are factors that might lead to depression, for example.

BR, the stronger pain meds are a synthetic narcotic. i am not allowed to work under the influence of drugs like that. indeed, i will not even drive my car if i have taken them. i use ibuprofen with codeine on the other days, when i'm not doing hydro.

it's a shame that he can't see how much luckier we are than most people.....
morning Scrabs
hello scrabs
As soon as he starts, leave. He can talk to himself.
mpost people don't even live to be his age and he's surprisingly healthy
or, as Sprite would say, "Talk to my hand"
or "Talk to my ass, my ears are tired" (it probably sounds better in Dutch!
I like that one Ruby, dutch or not :)
me, too, I think it's very funny, especially said as you walk out of the room
Be silent and walk away. Just like you would do for a toddler having a tantrum.
the thought of that makes me laugh
exactly. It's what I did when my son was 2 and it resulted in his having only one tantrum!
no audience, no tantrum
omg my cat is having fits LOL
"Just because you can swallow a boxcar does not mean you have anything to say."
has she found a live thing to play with?
a mouse just snapped a trap in the cupboard and he cant get to it
what an image, no no
Ignore negative behavior, reinforce positive behavior.
I try that, but, unfortunately, there's no carryover
he is pawing at the door and crying his foolish head off
I handled yesterday's bad behavior very well and all was fine after 4PM but it only lasted midway through lunch tody
what will you do with the mouse, nono?
we have mice but, fortunately, they are very cute, long-haired field mice and they live outdoors under the bird feeder
will have son dispose of it later as I can't reach where it is at
I wouldn't like them so much in the house
they always seem to come in this time of year, guess they don't like the cold any better than I do
now that it's getting cooler, some very large spiders are coming in. I like spiders, but the big ones are kind of scary
Now Henry is pacing between the cupboard and me, trying to get me to open the door for him LOL
And I don't like to kill anything but when I have to, I do. Like birds which have crashed into the window, are still alive, but just barely. I've learned how to take care of that
can you distract him with food or a toy
My dad had an industrial vacuum cleaner ... a mouse would periodically stick its head out to see what was going on .... we used the vacuum cleaner to suck the mouse out ... must have been quite a shock
I have birds do that all the time but they always seem to shake it off and fly away
lol BR
Rufie found one of those injured birds one afternoon and walked around with it in his mouth until it was dead!
drowned, I guess
he just ate a bit ago and toys don't seem to do the trick at the moment
I guess you just have to leave the room

our old housekeeper, who was afraid of spiders, would vacuum them up. I told her that one day, they would come marching out and "get" her
..and she had nightmares for the remainder of her life.
just yakking with a guy who thinks it is fine for companies with over 50 employees in the states to kill off any full time jobs over 50 employees to avoid obamacare...wild stuff
yikes Ruby, thats a scary thought
hahah
I think they could live in there for a while
my mrs is terrified of spiders
I think they're beautiful, except the big black ones who arrive after the rain and don't build webs. They jump!
I wish I was in NY where there is an exhimition now at the Museum of Natural History with live spiders and demonstrations
it would either cure your mrs. or scare her to death!
I wouldn't go near the place lol
as long as I know they're not poisonous, I'm not afraid of spiders or snakes
my si**** sends me clippings, but when we were girls, she used to spray spiders with hairspray
now thats funny
my si**** is very funny
it's too bad she doesn't have a computer; yoou would all find her very smart and amusing, much funnier than I!!!

Collectively, drug companies have paid $6.6 billion in penalties in 2012 (through July) to settle Medicare, Medicaid, and other taxpayer subsidized programs, according to a new report published by national consumer watchdog group, Public Citizen. And over the last two decades, state and federal government prosecutors collected over $30 billion from pharmaceutical companies for illegal marketing and alleged fraud.

tell you friend his mindset is everything and to get in there and kick ass!
how old is your friend? I think age makes a difference (younger is worse than older)
he is 54
I will be thinking of him on your behalf -- I think positive thought travel very far!
Hi ruby, what's up?
Hi smores, crossy, Boo
(sounds like a fortune cookie)
{{bichon}}
howdy bichon
I will tell him that crossy, he seems to be staying pretty positive
pups, nasty weather, off-and-on masty husband, but otherwise OK
how are M and P?
hi bichon
they do indeed.i have personally watched many cancer patients with very treatable forms and severities just curl up and die with a case of "the poor me,s"
They have resumed their normal morning habits: walkie, breakfast, chew, nap
but if it's prostate, suggest several opinions and "less is more"
You are a survivor crossy
Rufie now jumps over Ruby's head, just to drive her crazy
it's colon ruby, getting scanned today to see if it has spread
you are correct ruby, that cancer type is very slow growing and treatments can do more harm than good
except when it's not crossy
I keep reading about that, crossy, and many men have been greatly hurt by the treatment and would never have died from the disease.
colon c is another story but can be very treatable
i do not,will not,EVER admit defeat
indeed ruby
G'mornin all.
mr. nasty is being nice this afternoon, so I'm off to make him his "reward" martini!
howdy gramma
*poof*
lol@ reward martini
hubby going away for the weekend. Now's my chance to clean up all his crap and hide it
hi, bich! (i remember the last time you did that!)
Yes, he bitched for days. I'm surprised he feels safe enough to leave the house
lol - he'll get over it this time, too.
LOL @ bichon
crossy wonders if he changes that balky light swich in the bathroom if he can earn a reward martini?
at 10 in the morning (your time)?
well,can i bank them??
crossy in the never ending lap top dilemma. In the last episode of Gramma vs HP Babble, our heroine Gramma had craftily out foxed the evil puter and had restored Babble to its expert performance. But alas today the words won't send to clues. In this upcoming episode watch while crossy steps in and rescues the dumb old lady.
hubby is a hoarder. He has lots of pieces of junk lying around the house. He even finds clothes people are throwing out, launders them and brings them to Goodwill
LOL gramma
lol, gramma putting crossy on the spot
gramma, when is the last time you cleaned history, temp files, cookies and ran a disc clean or defrag??
That's okay. crossy can handle it.
maybe if you give him a martini
bichon, good for hubby for laundering clothing and donating to Goodwill
Oh crossy, I love it when you talk that way. Cleaning is not my forte. I'll give it a whirl though.
now crossy, puts gramma on the spot:))
Yes, but the stuff lies around the house for ages til he gets to washing it and then around the garage til he takes it to Goodwill
use c cleaner gramma
free download
http://www.piriform.com/CCLEANER
then after that ,restart computer and try expert again
I'm at work right now. I'll do it later (said the great procrastinator).
c cleaner, does several things.it cleans up temp files cookies etc,it is a great registry cleaner and does a good job of unistalling old software properly
if they charged for it,i would pay
but they make money of the business version of this
teehee, my dyslexic fingers just got me the 2nd bi6/24

It's cold and dark out. Do you have rain Annie?
bichon, it is sort of sunny here and chilly
may the light shine down to those in darkness
may they be happy in life
We have rain in the forecast, again :(
lol crossy
may the live in the cold and pray for the warmth
it is cloudy here again today
rain is not in the forecast but tomorrow is going to be a cloudy dreary day, so they predict
Sigh, we've had so much rain here. It puts a damper on what is usually a beautiful month
we have the opposite problem, bichon
What part of Montana are you in harp? Obviously the dry part
it's pretty much all dry this year bich. I'm in Hamilton, which is western montana. about halfway between Missoula and Salmon, ID
After a snowless winter, which made it pretty dry, we have had ample rainfall.
We've been lucky garden-wise
Crosshair, I just downloaded the cleaner and used it, thanks....explain defrag to me and is it also necessary if you have used the cleaner?
I've tried defrag, but there's nothing to defrag. I guess that's a good thing.
PS...I am also a colan c victor

buttonman "defrag" or defragmentation is a program within windows that allows you ro organize and comress all the data on your hard drive in a orderly fashion thus maximizing space and getting the best speed out of your computer if you are using windows 7,just hit start and type defrag into the search box and follow instructions

I'd like that, crossy!
sometimes bichon,if you are not adding and removing tons of software and or games on a regular basis, fragmentation is much slower in building up
nbs
it is sadly out of print with but 1200 odd signed copies availabe and is also out of ebook print
ty for clearing that up

for other who wish a cpy, just mail me with a request and put babble in the text so i can find you in the junk mail filter
yes I did, bichon. It is a recurring theme in his books too. Very well done. Love Odd... but also his other books.

can anybody help me remember something? there is some show or movie that i can't place where there's one of those opposites-attract love-hate tensions and the woman says "i LOATHE you!" right before they kiss.
I keep the Mac because I have Office, a scanner, a printer and Photoshop on it

i can't always tell but sometimes you know they have to come from a particular letter
does anyone else when they see the word dr4 mainly think of the original series star trek ep (containing the first televised interracial kiss) where spock sings, "ah-ah-ah-ah, bitter dr4s"?
well done sprite *pats sprite on the head*
it is 'easy' to tell: words always come from the first letter they can possible be made from
thanks jmc :D *happy now*
nuh-uh sprite you said sc4 but it's the plural, the 5. (you are getting too smug)
uh . . . no
I did NOT say sc. I said si x 3

isn't a streg someone who always comes last?
I bought my first car for $300
i am not familiar with that word sprite
and gas was .29 cents per gallon
I am totally mixing up a lot of stuff, I think.
I could fill up my car for $5
that is a straggler sprite
*sigh* i remember when daddy told me to always put in at least $2 worth
they would have gas wars and it once got down to one cent a gallon
a stregg is a steroidal egg
I remember my dad for all the good things he told me
a steroidal egg? what is that

How can st5/10 not be pluralized? I have more than one myself in my head!

why don't I see any g's??
go g** some, you ge*****!
I thought of that sprite, but on the page of definitions it has links asking questions using the plural! Lol. I will use the plural, just doesn't count here for some dumb reason. ;)

tx ru!
maybe a weird hiccup in enable. Wouldn't be the first, won't be the last, lol
ok -- pups need to back -- BBL *poof*

Amen Peri, very annoying.
What I like about the picture is that it includes the people who worship and encourage them. Just as annoying.
instead of smacking them, I just walk away. hard to when it is someone online tho
indeed, Molls
I just ignore them online
they usually need an audience
Yep, they thrive on attention. And will attempt to get it in positive or negative ways.

it's always the plurals...
do5 the first one, plural of the one before it
Hi all

Just got back from the doctor with Frank, really does look like he has Crohn's
i am missing another do6
Well then your list was incorrect because it is do4, do4, do5, do4
Sorry to hear that Sue, but at least you have something to work with now. What next?
1st 6 is a plural or the 5 b4 it, 2nd adds a vowel in the middle, 3rd is pasttense
Doc was very nice, even gave us a break on his fee, but I just picked up the first month's medication, it was $1150 and no I did not forget a decimal point
yeah, i didnt put it in right, I got the last do...it was more of the 4
thank you everybody
Good to hear the doctor was fair about the cost. Medication is unbelievably expensive.
105 left :)
Next thing is a colonoscopy, which will be Oct .30, they can give us a break on that too if I pay up front, which I will
so sorry sue
I really hope his divorce comes through soon and you can get him on your policy.
Me too, Molly!
Oh, and a colonoscopy the day before Halloween. Yeah, that's scary. : O
I thought of that :-)
Right now I am just glad that he is getting proper treatment. We both liked this doctor a lot.
Poor guy, he must feel like trading in his whole GI tract for a newer model.
He does indeed.
This Doc said the other one not seeing him in the hospital was bs.
I don't get these digestive disorders. Why can't they figure out what makes some of us digest just fine and other have so many problems?
Sadly, there are a lot of greedy doctors out there.
That would be good!
Hi sue, Molly
Besides being nice, this doctor really seems to know hush stuff, and spent quite a bit if time with us. We were both impressed.
*his stuff. Sorry, babbling on phone.
Hi, bichon!
glad to hear sue, at least you seem to be in better hands now
well gtg get my kid, bbl to finish - 25left
Yes, we are encouraged. Frank is still on an emotional rollercoaster.
Bye, smores!
who is sick, your husband Sue?
Frank is my fiancé, bichon
sorry, is Frank sick?
Yes, sorry, was just trying to be precise. He was in the hospital over the weekend and apparently has Crohn's.
I have a brief summary in my profile and will update it in a bit. It's all been rather a shock.
Can they do anything good for it?
Probably he will be on medication for the rest of his life. They have much better medications than they used to but they are very expensive.
Did you see the GI doc yet Sue?
Does he have good insurance for drugs?
Yrs, we saw him this morning, and we both liked him a lot.
And no insurance for drugs, I just paid $1150 for the first month.
Yikes, is he Medicare eligible?
This,is why I'm sensitive to the husband/ fiance distinction; once we're married I can get him on my insurance.
Still too young for Medicare.
Marry immediately!
The instant his divorce is final!
oy, a complication.
Should be another couple of months. They're trying to get the lawyer to get the court to hurry it up.
I'm sorry to hear all of this sad news. Nobody needs Crohn's
Ok, phone battery is dying and I need to put in an appearance at my office. Will be back later.
see ya
you'd think a game called Babble would accept a word like witter... I do it all the time...
*belated hug for uu and frank*

Hi mcurlschool.
Hey medusa! :)
LNTS?
I've just been lurking around---no school today for me :-D
none at all? pretty neat-o!
anyone have a clue for teh first se5?
"professional" day; gotta love them!
I volunteered a couple hours with a friend. Seems none of the schools are on next Friday, so hoping to have a day with Grant at the EMP in Seattle
Are you a teacher?
Hello all! Haven't been on in forever, but had 10 minutes to speed play and thought I'd say hello... Hope all is well with everyone!
my first se 5 is se 5/14, a type of japanese poetry, I think
sound fun Stid.
HI Angela. Must have been forever because I don't think I've ever seen you before?
nope. DR Congo money, actually
hey angela
Yup. Way longer than I would prefer...used to be on a lot more.
Hiya Stid :))))
congrats on the weight loss -- feeling more like yourself, I bet?
I see. I haven't been on so much lately since I started a new full-time job. Babbling from work right now but can't always. Depends how busy things are.
congrats on the new job, too, neil!
Definitely - been about 2 3/4 years and have kept most of it off!
Thanks, stid. :)
I work for lawyers so rarely get the time, and by the time I get home the computer is the enemy :)
and congrats also neil!
Uh oh. And thanks!
japanese poetry?? I only know haiku :)
Huh? My phone is just shutting itself off. WTF?
nm...got it
I must make a point of getting on more - miss the old crowd - Mr. P, Stid, Peri, etc...
Oh wow. It just rebooted itself... like a computer.
we are all still just has bouncy!
These "smart phones". I think it's smarter than me.
lol :) I bet mcurl!
It's DR Congo money, Lisa -- se + a motor is an e***ne
Well, bye for now - hopefully be back on soon! Ta!
hey neil - your brother is coming to SA - wonder if I told him I play with his brother he would talk to me
And stay well everyone!
bye angela :)
Take care Angela.
(some of us more than others)--me
maybe it did an auto update. I hate auto updates. Tick me off. I want to know what is happening, and why. who's a control freak? LOL
have a great weekend Angela
later angela, see you soon!
hey ursh
Yes, ursh... haha, you could try.
He talks to anyone though. If he has the time.
They just did NZ and Melbourne. Auckland had a new weatherman on Wednesday at lunch hour. I'm questioning his pronunciation of "Whakatane" though, haha! *headshake*
I am sure he does - but they get whipped in and out of venues at great speed
I know what I heard. I told him and all he did was laugh at me.
Yep. He sure does.
may i have clues for the pr7's?
well, down to 53 now. Going to take a little nap and then back to town. *poof*
pr7,36 = a method, time and work it takes to accomplish a task/project?
pr7,32 -- expert + feminine suffix
got the second one you clued, working on the first clue~
pisst
... non-amateur sewage ...
Ok, here's another clue for that first "pr" word: Finishing a Babble grid is a real pr***** sometimes.
Ummm, yeah? That's another way to clue it.
... sorry ... I was typing the same definition as you when your's appeared ... .. so I needed something different
No need to apologize. I just found your clue interesting... more clever than mine. ;)
thank you everybody :)
hello all!
howdy again everyone:) back for a few more
Me too crossy...how ye be?
not bad at all,sun is bright, air has a bite in it,the trees are a blaze of colour had a walk in the woods with my beloved and now have a roast and tater and onions and carrots in da oven
Same here! Guess this is supposed to be our last nice fall day (albeit with smokey conditions). But, save not having our garden down for the winter...I am ready for some snow to get these damn fires out!!
Had a short work day, slept in, and looking forward to meeting friends for dinner at the local brewery.
anybody have the bi7/8 combo?
we had 1 inch of wet sloppy snow last night
Start with the first 4 letters of the bi6/7, then add four letter term for law practice (**** reform)
bi7 sounds like di7. People who are crazy have a di7ed sense of reality.
Nice crossy, send it on down..that must be the storm we've been forecast
hi molly
jilly... a four letter start and adding four letters gives you 8...is the 7/8 I am missing a combo?
sorry, that was for the pl...as usual, molly's clue much better...
nm...got it lol
I have 13 left, but its time to go watch friday night football! My son plays
Whew! hard to clue...sorry, glad you got it..
hello al
hi cos
Y'all can keep your snow right where it is. Hate the stuff.
if it will put out fires jilly,i send it with all speed to you
Great, after si6/7 combo I have Rosemary Clooney and Vera Allens duet running in my head....
Thanks crossy...
we had almost 3 inches in timmins, you can have that as well
That is the Trif and Car.ee themes song, Jilly. : D
*builds wall to prevent snow from reaching molly*
i hope we get tons of snow this year, and good normal temps of minus 20 to minus 30.want to get the snowmobiles out this year and some good ice fishing time and snow shoeing in:)
5c atm:)
it was 75 degrees 3 hours ago. its now 40.
I want that too crossy, but to kill the pine beetles, wasps and to provide enough water to keep fires away.
I want that too crossy, but to kill the pine beetles, wasps and to provide enough water to keep fires away.
any clues for last 2 bi6?
thumb twitch...sorry
versions on the eatery medusa
thanks jill. having a thick moment.lol
To your reliief...that is certainly a twisty one...
frost warning tonight it seems ,indeed jilly.no pine beetles here:)
very! right now blitzed the bs so gonna take 5.
They have destroyed much of our forests, there are areas where it is nothing but dead trees..
:((
years ago in the early 70,s we had the dutch elm disease.the trees never recovered
That's another reason the fires are so bad.
We had a pine beetle issue 40+ years ago, but a few old fashioned winters did the trick
Our dutch elm in our yard died of that...
ugh i hate when the police do a press conference to say "we will have a press cofnerence later"
co7 after the bandit animal plural?
Add mens neckwear to the bandit animal
brb
oh no. it is the girl. :(
maybe not. one neww sites says it is, another site says no id yet
That story is giving me the creeps.
local abc says it is her, local nbc says no identiy yet. wth?
For one thing, it shouldn't be taking this long to ID the body.
ok local nbc now saying yes it is her.
confirmed. all over the tv now. so sad.
ty for co7
This is not to lay blame, but a girl of 10 should not be walking to school by herself.
the school district are making parents pay 150 a year for bus? i think i read that? but yeah she should have been chaperoned to the park to meet up with her frends at least
a horrible lesson for everyone.
How times have changed...I walked to school at 10..
150 a year is not that much for bus transportation.
so did my brother.
it can be for low income families
I walked to school at that age too. But the pervert to normal ratio is higher these days.
st 5/10 plz the last one
<------!!FW!!
co7/40 lease? before the dead body? (wtg jill)
st5/0=term for what they place to restore circulation in a heart

C's completed. what a pain.
Seriously. I had to do the C's in dribs and drabs because they were boring me to tears.
just finished the hateful C's too, hi all
This is one twisty grid ivesy! *hands ivesy a seatbelt*
Hi there peri!!
Hi Peri. Cheers to Friday!
hi Jilly, is it snowing there yet?
I forgot to have my G& T :(
Not yet...sure hoping..except our garden is not down for the winter...
but Cheers to Friday anyway
only have a little bit of gin left
just remember to keep all the snow where you are, Jilly
Hubby and I are heading to the local brewery for pizza and beer...
Time for a liquor store run Peri.
<---Loves local breweries.
I don't have to have it, but nice to know it is there, Molls
I like G&T in the summer. not sure what to drink in the winter. I like Apricot brandy but it makes me tired. actually most alcohol makes me tired but the brandy more so
any suggestions for a winter drink?
Do you like spiced rum?
yes
think I have had it before
does it have to be heated up
No, a Beach Cruiser is spiced run, pineapple juice and cranberry juice. I guess you could warm it.
don't like pineapple in my drinks
Captain Morgan and sour apple schnapps is good too.
lol.. that st 5 complelety hid from me.. i need new glasses, the sun was in my eyes.. ummm and other excuses
I had a bad experience many years ago with Southern Comfort and pineapple juice.
pina coladas here plz
together Molls
I like peach schnapps. maybe I will buy some of that.
I think we all have a bad experience with Southern Comfort in one form or another..
it was not pretty
course i do like fuzzy navels too.. the drink that is
I like peppermint schnapps in hot chocolate.
never had one of those ivesy
that would be good Molls
someone gave me "Bartenders Pocket Guide" will look in there to get some more suggestions
orange jucie and peach snapps.. very good
Fuzzy Navel is peach schnapps and OJ
ok, then, but that is still a summer drink, no?
peach schnapps and peach nectar would be good too then
one of my faves. and mudslides.. my sister makes the best
People drink them all year round.
i bought some of these fall cinnamon spiced kahula drinks last night.. and yuck. wayyy to cinnamony
Mudslides are like dessert.
Well, better head out to get ready for dinner...bbl *poof*
I like cinnamon, but not if it's overpowering.
just looked up mudslides, sound delish but more like a dessert and very fattening
very much so.. we have them at xmas eve.
a bus driver was suspended because she told a 10 year old kid her mom shld of aborted him because he liked romney. thats disgusting.
he should have been suspended. no matter what his opinions re the candidates that was a hateful thing to say
this is a very twisty grid
agreed.
time for me to sign out. have a good day/night all
D's, E's done. 105 to go.
What kind of freak show says something like that to a kid? Honest to God.
and she works with kids.

suze!!!
yaa for peri!!
ty bye for now
hi crossy! and yay peri!
update on Frank in my profile
hope nobody minds, I find writing these long diatribes in my profile to be quite therapeutic
i am always interesting in franks progress
do not worry bout it
though the u.s health system makes me tear my hair out for you
my b.i.l has had crohn,s for better part of 25 years
well, we like this doctor a lot, and he is working with us to keep the costs down (unfortunately there's not much he can do about the cost of the medication, though)
yes, I know some people that have it too, one of my son's fraternity brothers has it
Writing is very therapeutic Sue. You keep right on doing it.
here, meds still cost heaven and the earth though.you need supplimental or low income coverage for that
one month supply of his new med was $1155. Sigh.
Another thing that is helpful it to keep a small notebook with you and write down what the doctor says when you see him, and any questions you think of before you see him. Going through stuff like this tends to scatter your thoughts
yes,get him on your coverage.this med, often is forever.you can actually write the pharacuitcal company that makes it if it is a harship and they often assist
So I had better get back to work on the physics problems that I'm doing for the publisher; they kind of fell by the wayside for a while.
yes, we've been doing that, Molly, and it is a great idea. Helps to have both of us there, too. And you are right, crossy, this is going to be a long term proposition.
oh, crossy!1 How is your diet going??
At Wesleyan University, our employer [my former before I retired] a partner ualifies for coverage
domestic partner that is
12 pound loss for sept suze
28 pounds to go
wow, that sounds great, crossy!
bichon, I could get him covered as a domestic partner if he weren't married to someone else, but as soon as his divorce is final we will get married ASAP anyway.
WTG Crossy
uusue2, is budesonide a biologic (infusion/injection)?
and Hi all!
no, it's a glucocorticoid steroid
the biologics are another factor of 5 or so more expensive
yep, I am on biologic for PsA, and that's why I was asking, because the price tag seemed cheap (LOL)
and hi nrkii!
these autoimmune diseases are a b***h
yeah, if this quits working the next step is immunosuppressants, then biologics
indeed they are!! He is particularly annoyed at having two of them (celiac and Crohn's)
I have to say, I have loved the biologics, even though I know they are risky.
multiple autoimmunes often go together
what are biologics?
I have Psoriatic Arthritis + Raynaud's
it one ofter a precursor to the other or are they mutually exclusive?
I told him he should quit hogging them and let somebody else have one of them ;-)
is
bichon, they are immune suppressing drugs
crossy, they don't seem to know, but most people I have encountered with an autoimmune tend to have more than one
sorry, crossy, one what?
corhons and ceiac
i cannot type tonight
My dad had RA + Ankylosing Spondilitis
fireworks for me. Finally
so,one often tends to lead to another
yaa for bichon!!
Night all
about 20% of people with Crohn's also have celiac
and yay bichon!
yay bichon!!
it's not that one causes the other, but more that when your immune system is crazy, it is crazy in more than one way
and they don't emerge on the same time schedule
:)
I figure he's lucky that the Crohn's is emerging so late in life, maybe he won't have as hard a time with it as people who develop it much younger
yes,my b.i.l has gone through hell and more operations than i can count
cutting lengths of intestine/bowel out
ooh, not good. not good at all
yeah, when we were first in the ER on Thursday they were talking about that for Frank, but fortunately it doesn't seem to be necessary
good,good
meanwhile I would love to get half way in this grid but am struggling
pi5/14 please?
I have a pi5/14 that runs up the right side and sounds like it has something to do with fish
never mind monkeyed it
the one that looks like a dance? :) ty anyway!
yes, that's it!
figured it was the most likely due to its stats
Pi5, pi5 duck!

Velveeta is pr7ed cheese
Thanks much, Molly.
Good morning / evening. Can I have a clue for bi 8 please? I have one bi 7 36 - but that's already a plural!
bi7/8 sounds like "crazy people have a di7ed view of reality"
ty Molly - I'll have to think about that
Your reflection in a fun house mirror is di7ed?
think I know what you're getting at but I've not been awake long - but I'll get there. ty for your help. I'll come back later!
The Arch***hop of Canterbury + Linzer ****e

ty very very much - very patient of you and good cluing too!
hi all - is sue still here?
just got back, smores
Hi sue
you've probably already checked into this, but I just remembered my brother telling me about a prescription discount card he got.
yes, we have one, and got another one from Walgreens, it saved us $200. Which is better than nothing!
It saves him 10% on his meds - not a lot but at $1500 a pop it would be substantial. Anyways, here is the link http://www.needymeds.org/indices/newus\ner.htm
teehee, guess we were typing at the same time - I figured you all ready had one.
oh, right, peri (I think it was) sent me to that site as well. His medication isn't listed but we are new to it today, will look for the future
fireworks
check on the drug manufacture site as well, some are offering rebates right now
yay cos!
Yeah cos !!!
Congrats, cos!
May I please have a clue for pi5-14? Thanks
Sounds like the 70's dancing people did under a reflective ball.
rhymes with C**** Kidd
But to do with fish!
...was a friend of mine....
brb
Why do people keep saying it has to do with fish? The dictionary says it's Peruvian brandy.
I'm back.
Just sounds like it should be! I also checked the meaning but still clued it that way - well - that's why I said fish!!!!
well, I'm watching Grimm, so gonna go now
Have a good evening
have a wonderful evening/morning which ever the case may be :)
phone call....brb
Time to get the day going. Have a good day / evening wherever you are. ty for all the help. Back later :)
I struggled with this word last night.....only darned thing I can think of was the bullfrog was a friend of mine, but of course, that dosen't fit. How in the he** can one person be so dumb?
Sounds like di5 dancing to The Bee Gees "Saturday Night Fever" music.
OMG, thanks Molly. That was the last one for this grid. See y'all at the flip.

hello all! wonderful evening with friends, good pizza and great beer...does life get better than that?
OMG! SO close -- half an inning of we can keep them from scoring. Anxious night here in DC.
Twas the night of Friday and all through Babbleland Not a babbler was stirring to lend me a hand My words typed in the list with care Wanted to ask for a clue, but nobody was there Maybe I should just go nestle in my bed And have sweet dream inside my head I'm already dressed in a robe and my cap With my dog sitting with me on my lap When what to my wondering eye should appear Why a fellow babbler has entered here
