yc6 sounds like a yiddish term...LOL
it's very very English -- I think Chaucer
awww coldy is not a word - its what us Aussies described an nice co4 can of beer.
phantom: lobster
yc? - yikes
stuck at 95
over halfway
nan -- for yc, think Chaucer
still don't know any words beginning with yc, jill
the Chaucer I read had been translated into modern english
it's Middle English
like my yiddish thought yc + ver*****
y + cl 5
it means "called"
ty - got it, but still has no meaning for me
ah - something new
just said what it means
no -- something old, lol!
lol -- think we're posting at the same time, jill
right, nan
Well, having internet issues and getting sl5y. Niters all, will leave the last 66 for tomorrow...

oops,, WTG
my cat marty has kidney failure. he will be dying in the next few months. not sure if it might even be next few days. feelings very stressed.
my goodness, flosey!
ty everyone -- any clues wanted?
guess I needed it jilli
oh hurshy, I am so sad to learn that. can he be made comfortable?
yes please nan, do6
aw, sorry, hursh. That's so sad.
cotton's offspring?
he's pretty comfortable, except possibly nausea which i'm not totally able to tell if is under control or not. it's not a painful disease or way to die as i understand it.
thanks nan, looking
not painful would be a good thing
but it's hard to let go
how old is he, hursh?
hurshy - we had a cat that went that way --- just make sure he has lots of water as he will be very thirsty
he's only 12
just middle-aged for a cat, I guess
yeah nan there's plenty water but he's often not drinking, the subq fluids may be making him comfortable in that regard or he may just be too nauseous to drink (although sometimes he eats fine but still doesn't drink so i think it's the subq)
yes exactly, middle-aged
i have always had a fountain for them so it's not standing water
but he isn't using it now is only willing to drink from tub
on my way unless more clues are wanted?
so i have that on a constant trickle
gnight nan
sweet dreams nan
bye everyone -- see you tomorrow :)
good night nan
down to 31 here, and I need to get some shut-eye
still working on that do
hurshy, I'll keep you in my thoughts.
*poof*
bye stid
do6/27 - an English poet
thanks tor

all i can think is donne which is too short and not here
well, stuck and sleepy -- 48 left -- goodnight all...*poof
hursh, I thought that too but the monkeys saw a word that could be an Englsih name and that was it...*repoof
i guess i got it

James Do6 is an American Evangelical Christian
thanks chris, I did find it
not familiar with James Do
you're probably happier that way - he's not as awful as some, well intentioned, but sometimes pretty annoying nevertheless
firfeworks
where are these extra letters coming from
and goodnight to any still here
popping back in...night flosey. and WTG FLOSEY!!!!!
morning all. grrr if we can have do5/14 with c in it why cant we have similar word with b in it meaning two as in pasa do6? Spanish must be inferior to Italian?
and on that subject - the bo6/7 is enough to make sane men gibber. The most ridiculous word Ive ever seen. And in 7 yrs of playing this game, thats saying something.
its a bonnet ? as in that film Easter Bonnet?
no - as in one who minds the sheep.
same word. Spider Ho!
ah - I see what you did there. The general enormity and illogical world of language has made my brain ache this morning.
however the etymology of do6/27 throws up a really good word: hellgrammite ! not seen that one in Babble yet.
That's why you are playing Babble though - words are wonderful
havent got to the d's yet. But hellgrammite sounds like it would come from the most spectacular grid ever....
actually, hellgrammite sounds like a villain from a Superman comic.....
and its only a lowly fly larva
grid encompasses Old English as well y6 /30.
after the bo6 debacle I just tried 'yeeold' for that, half expecting it to work. Fortunately for my sanity, it didnt.
that because you left the obligatory e off the end!
I can live with the yc word. it has logic to it, and an origin that is based on forms of early language. The bo6 however, comes from a sodding fairy tale and is therefore utterly made up and fictional.
It's not, Dachef. Look up the dictionary and you'll see it's a variation of 'peekaboo'.
Who knows, maybe the nursery rhyme character was named after the game?
and despite the proffered dictionary def I am sure it refers to a version of the poke-bonnet?
Really? Oh well, thats my chips peed on. rant over. Have to find something else to be annoyed about.
or was it bopeep nighties?
You're going to turn into Victor Meldrew, I can see it coming.
already there.
Hiya Haz - probably already am, Distracted-of-Scouseland
Hello, scouser.

Hello, smores.

good morning/afternoon friends
Hello, Sprite..how are you today?
hiya zooz :) I am pretty good. Up relatively early and the sun is out. How about you?
Hi Sprite, how was the hobbit?
Not too bad thanks..the sun is trying to get past the clouds.but struggling..lol
hi xeiluj :) It was absolutely beautiful. We were lucky to be able to watch the IMAX 3D in high frame rate. I loved what they did with the story, but I loved the beauty of it all even more.
*prods the sun at zooz's and sends the clouds away*
We booked to go but couldn't make it due to me having bad chest. Didn't want to cough all the way through it!!
Will definitely re-book it now though
it is very much worth it
I too have seen the hobbit 3D..but found my legs did not like the three hours..i had to keep standing up to stretch my legs a bit.
it is a long sit if you cannot sit well, indeed
We do not have IMAX here on the island so normal cine for me..lol
Sorry to hear you could not make it, Xeilju, lots of colds going around this year.
it is beautiful in any setting, I think. The extra from 3D is lovely, but not necessary to enjoy the movie.
I hope you feel better now, xeiluj?
Thank you,I always get lots of coughs at this time of year, due to chronic bronchitis. Lots better now, just in time to go back to work this week!!
ah, that is a family disease for us. Lots of that going round in my family. It is a bitch (pardon my french)
lol, pardon excepted :-)
;)
just heard a dog noise out side and then promptly found the YE 4/7 & YE 5..lol
lol
Thaks, that finished the y's for me
Well this grid is going very smoothly..going to save 32 for later as i ned to get some chores done..take care Sprite and Xeiluj :-)
Me too, catch you later. Down to 23
bye zooz and xei!
How many words today please
145
hi sandra, 145 today.
hi ivesy
hi sprite
coffee time bbs.
just finished mine
Hello Sprite - HNY
hi lyn, a very happy New Year to you too, and to yours. May you find light and love and peace.
Hi all - here for a short time before skyping with friends in UK :)
hi Liz :)
good evening Liz
ouch... may you find peace is NOT a good expression in this sense, is it? May your days be filled with peace, lyn :)
i don't know, sometimes you have to work at finding peace - not much comes without a cost
very true. Part of the reason things are going better with me is that I meditate a lot now. It helps me maintain a basic level of inner peace.
is that new for you - or you are just doing it more?
just doing it more. It should be a daily practice and I never got quite around to that, but now I do.
It is sometimes hard to make time for yourself so I am happy that you are doing it
I get up earlier for it. No way I can meditate when the kids are up and about... they always need their mum in some mundane way, lol.
do you meditate, lyn?
No - never tried to do it.
you probably don't need to, grin. You have inner peace all by yourself. At least, that is how you come across for me
If left to myself I am pretty calm. I have a history of taking on too much which stresses me out - at least I realise it now. Tried yoga once for that - very good
yoga is also a form of meditation... meditation in motion. Yes, it is not easy to learn not to take on too much, is it. Glad you can handle that so well now. I'm still learning :)
ahhh - Te6.18 Mandela
LOL!
ty Lyn :)
I'll never look at a lobster tail again without thinking of Mr Mandela
hahahaha
I cannot seem to finish that darn B. Is there a 7 among them?
yes - a bo6 & its 7 - kind of unexpected, even for Enable
that is my missing B combo then. Could you please clue it for me?
oh good clue....'lost' the animals in the grid
hope you know English nursery rhymes - I am sure you do
I know some... *kicking mind in gear*
have you found the animals ?
not yet, still working on the rhyme, grin
oh... think i got it!
jeezzz... ok, GOT to look this one up.
and thank you, lyn, never would have found this by myself
ah. The game of peekaboo. Very odd.
neither would I but came in just as some-one was 'bleating' about it
ah. ouch.
btw, lovely clue, lyn!
hello again all :)
hi smores, wb
hi Smores
lol...be6/7
??? meant bo
ah, was wondering. But the B is grey now so it couldn't be :)
funny sh5 is in here too
sh5 that you count to make you sl5
yes, I was thinking that.
it is a nursery rhyme grid!
lol...
you both know what a hellgrammite is?
no sprite, and a little afraid to ask....lol
lol! I just looked up the def of do6/27 and this was one of the defs! Really helps, right?
I do(6.27)
a hellgrammite is the larva of the do6 fly.
yay lyn! Amazing, the stuff babblers know.
okay then....lol
Dr Who's companion is here too
thanks for the do6
yvw smores. Am checking out wiki... other names for the hellgrammite: go-devils or crawlerbottoms. They are used as bait. But I wanted to know the etymology... it is unclear, alas.
Sounded more like comic book arch nemesis....lol
in-very-deed!
googling Dr Who's companion... there are a lot of those!
the last one (unless we are very behind down here)
ah, yes right :) The watery one.
yes
*giggle* clue for no7: without benediction
good cryptic
yeah, it would work, I think, for someone used to crypto games.
lol...sprite
;)
lots of learning new ones for me today... yc6 is interesting too.
TY for the hint
have bo7,no7 stats for the 3rd one plz
yvw. Looks more greek than english, lol
Le7/32
ty sprite
looks yiddish to me
yes, I never would have gotten the yc without listing if it wasn't mentioned earlier
I am picking out the last ones with the list too. Never would have thought of trying anything yc- otherwise.
me neither, didn't know such a word existed...lol
think I'll save my rest for the morning - goodnight everyone
bye lyn, have a lovely eveing and sl5 well.
Another puny, pathetic grid.
one of the fun things about enable... especially this version... we get to learn such interesting, silly, archaic words :)
night lyn, if you can't sl5, count sh5 :)
hello BabbleRabble, indeed it is. Just found the very puny yc6.
Hiya BR
am glad to see you. How's today unfolding for you?
fireflies
WTG sprite WooHoo!!!
very nice grid, but it has some words that require knowledge to find them.
or your clever clueing :)
lol :)
The theme for the day is "dark."
why dark Br?
phantom: sitzfleisch
*sending a ray of sunlight to BabbleRabble*
oh... I don't have to look that one up. That is almost Dutch: zitvlees. It means your bottom, and especiallly in the meaning of not having 'zitvlees' = not being able to sit down for long.
lol...nice BR
the power to endure or just butt?
no, the saying we have is: He doesn't have any 'sitzfleisch' = he is very restless, cannot sit down for long, is immediately again up and about.
by def 1.A person's buttocks. 2.Power to endure or to persevere in an activity; staying power.
lol...so the saying would mean without sitzfleisch he couldn't endure sitting still
fakeloo
a little different from the meaning in Dutch then. Yes, no 'sitzfleisch' would be not being able to do anything for a longer period of time.
hmmm.....not a real toilet?
fakeloo? Is that bo6's brother?
or....hey sprite....that guy has a very nice sitzfleisch....lol
LOL smores!
sorry...couldn't resist
ok, fakeloo: "Fakeloo is an achievement/trophy in The Naked City Vice case from L.A. Noire"
con man or fake story
very nice word. It has a good ring to it.
lol....I like mine better....
fakeloo [arbitrary formation?] dated U.S. slang (but now used by gamers) a made-up story; a con "A fakeloo artist, a hoopla spreader, and a lad who had his cards rolled up inside sticks of tea, found on a dead man." - Raymond Chandler, Farewell, My Lovely (1940)
oops....I'm sorry, that isn't real....lol
I am off, thanks for the company and fun. BabbleRabble, I'd hold you in my thoughts... with sunlight and peace all around you.
Thanks, sprite. Be well
ah, a chandler word. Very nice. Thanks for sharing :)
Bye sprite....have a wonderful day :)
yes, the Chandler quote is nice
I must go fix breakfast. Hope your day gets lighter BR. :)

That do clue went right over my head.
Not hard though. My Weemee is actual size. lol
there...got the do6
for some reason, i can't get the icon any bigger - i think it has to do with the site i created it on (there are two i found - one had better welki-hair)
still not getting that clue tho
It looks perfect to me Welki.
so now you know who to look for when i come back east *lol*
And when will that be?
probably in february - new grandbaby arriving (somerset, not eatontown daughter)
How exciting!
my feet look so out of place
i'm hoping i can take a little extra time so i can get together with some babble-pals
I hope so. We only need an afternoon.
oh carlee, your feet look just fine
i tried a weemee...didnt get anywhere :(
Purple feet are nice.
i found it easiest on www.wee-mee.com - but you have to sign in with either a hotmail, MSN or Windows Live email
(and i see you have the hotmail account - you're good to go!)
I don't have any of those.
you probably created yours on weeworld, hego - i tried doing it through skype, but it kept crashing
Actually, I'm not sure.
any clue for the bo6 & 7 after James 007?
I just searched weemee
hahahaha --- pretty ridiculous, this conversation!
she lost her sh***, ouw
bo6 is the little shepherd girl from the nursery rhyme.
would you believe?
thanks welki...I bet she has 100 more pairs
its not letting me create an account :(
wow.. the grid should be lamb-asted
Hiya Ruru!!

oh you leaving ruru?
i am just flaked out...sippin coffee..procrastinating..is my last day of freedom until end of april
oh sorry.. thought you were leavng
no.. I just got here
Why carlee, are yo back at work?
school..and my 1000 km/ week commuting
hello again
hi ruby :)
Sounds like a lot of hard work. I am lucky enough to be able to walk to work, ten minutes, tops.
and with the snow here... ugh.....
there's something to be said for retirement (although, admittedly, not much)
bo6 is ridiculous!
yes...as is the 7 ruby
may I please have some stats for the 7's; I don't even know where to look
plural the bo6
ty carlee
Apparently, means to play peek a boo
too silly!
carlee: do you have deer in the road on your commutes?
I know and it never lets me have santa!
make a no 5 royal...most so
yes..we have deer too....
and white outs... and black ice... its a joy in the winter
I used to commute to graduate school at night, over an hour, each way, and there was snow AND deer. Scary!
<---- sarcasm....
it's why we love canada;)
{{crossy}}
((ruby))
I've just been reading Barry Lopez's book about wolves; it might appeal to you, crossy
i should be outfitting my car right now...granola bars, beef jerky..more water... hand warmes... bag of kitty litter, toilet paper...spare underwear and warm socks... batteries....
Good morning, all. *raises coffee cup* Here's to procrastination!
non fiction? what is the title?
<-- loves wolves
here here judi!!!!
carlee is a riot!
spare underwear because if you hit a snow drif and end up in the oncoming traffic, first you say it,then you do it:))
It's upstairs, but I think the title is Wlves and Man. I haven't read his other book, Arctic Dreams
wolves, not wives*
or if you are stuck in your car for 2 or 3 days in a snow drift... you MIGHT want to freshen up a bit
crossy,I didn't get that at first, but I just sprayed rum and coke all over my (now sticky) keyboard
Good plan, carlee. Don't forget the blankets and flares.
cus in snowmageggon 2 years ago I have 2 girlfriends who WERE stuck on the highway for more than 48 hours...
lol,women..give me a spare pair of socks and a bottle of vodka and i am good for 3 days
we need chocolate crossy
i have the blankets... and the sleeping bag and thepillow... all my textbooks travel with me...all the time... so lots of reading
that is the only thing i really understand about women, it has something to do with choclate
<-- doesn't like chocolate - maybe I'm a trannie
( youtube snoemageggon it made cnn they sent out snow mobiles to rescue trapped drivers...and it is not that this little storm was predicted...was just a fluke change of the wind...and snow hit )
snow storm sarnia 2010..something like that
my two dogs are arguing outside the studio door and looking at me at the same time. It's all showmanship
ah...but you like wine..that is the second necessary for a woman
Wow, carlee. I bet your friends were in a really bad mood after that situation.
hehehe....dogs... my dingdongs are still asleep
after 48 hrs, you learn who is really your friend (or not)
yeap... it was pretty horrid...and no one lost their life...
morning all!
hi dan
hi dan
Fortunately for them. If that had been me, as soon as I was freed, I would have been on a plane and headed for sand and palm trees permanently!
top row done :-)
that was very fast!
if i tried to flee south after an event like that ,i would get creamed by the very first hurricane that comes along as karma,s revenge
same crossy... free from that..i would curl up in bed for a couple days with a bottle or 2 of jack or jim or jose
<-- blames crossy for sticky keyboard {explain that!}
ahhh,jose,better check the lime supplies
rebooting i mean
lol ruby
Wouldn't want to risk getting scurvy, Crossy.
indeed, that is the beauty of 3 weeks with jose, you can often come out in better shape than when you went in
so that's why I put lime in my rum & coke!
that's why the early american's called the british limeys
yuppers
is that true, ru?
it is ruby
but where did they get the limes?
yes.. cause they had limes for the voyage
don't know?
Indeed, tis true.
Spain?
time to serve dinner. see you later kids (and with a sponge for this sticky keyboard)
On the recommendation of David MacBride, author of Historical Account of a New Method of Treating the Scurvy at Sea, containing ten cases which show that this destructive disease may be easily and effectually cured without the aid of fresh vegetable diet (1764), the British Admiralty issued 40 bushels of malt in hogsheads, together with portable soup, but only a few bottles of rob of lemons for James Cook's first voyage in 1768. The ship's company had in general been very healthy owing in great measure to Sour Krout, Portable Soup and Malt; the first two were served to the people, the one on beef days and the other on banyan days. Wort was made of the malt and at the discretion of the Surgeon given to every man that had the least symptoms of scurvy upon him. By this means, and the care and vigilance of Mr Monkhouse the Surgeon, this disease was prevented from getting a footing in the ship. Writing shortly before his death James Cook complained that: Every innovation whatever, tho ever so much to their advantage, is sure to meet with the highest disapprobation from Seamen: Portable Soup and Sour Krout were at first condemned by them as stuff not fit for human beings to eat. Few men have introduced into their ships more novelties in the way of victuals and drink than I have done. It has, however, in a great measure been owing to such little innovations that I have always kept my people generally speaking free from that dreadful distemper the Scurvy. It is a little known fact that James Cook's report to the Admiralty based on his experiences from his first and second voyages came to delay the introduction of lemon juice (later lime juice) against scurvy in the Royal Navy for twenty years or until 1795.
sorry for long post
I wonder what the British consumed when they were'n't at see* Tomatoes?
GREAT POST!
*weren't at sea* Jeeze loueez.
grog judi.. grog
Kraut. Yuck.
*thinks about all those wasted gin and tonics and margaritas on those british voyages*
Well, I've grappled my way down to 35 words. I really have to go get the car washed, etc. etc. Drudgery...
enjoy the day judi
Off I go! Ahoy, mateys! *POOF*

Listening to classic rock this morning...♪♪Come on people, now smile on your brother...♪♪
Thanks for the yc. Must integrate that into conversation.
how are you jells?...and Happy New Year...have not seen you here in ages ( I am always away)
I'm fine, carlee. How are you? I'm not here often, either. Just returned the other day.
i am good..all things considered...actually...very good ..just not looking forward to my 3 weeks off ending tomorrow
Brings back memories, MimiCat ... everybody get together try to love one another right now ... :)
Oh, Sheldon from Big Bang Theory is here!
Oldie but goodie...like ME!
Irene goodnight Irene goodnight Goodnight Irene Goodnight Irene I'll see you in my dreams
Yes, I need to get back to work prepping for the class I'll be teaching!
By the way, I'm following in your footsteps. I'm going to start taking college classes soon. I was accepted into a master's program in English.
excellent jells!!!!!
you will LOVE it... is the best thing I ever did for myself....
I have a couple of undergrad courses to take first...then it's on to grad work!
I agree, car. I went back last year after 30 years away from school...the BEST.
what undergrad are you taking?
i look at pics of myself from 5 years ago...to pics of me now..I look 10 years younger :) ( mind life was crap 5 years ago...but still...takes years off of you)
yay for mimi too
Grammar and American literature.
ooh..american will be fun...grammar...necessary evil
Wish I looked better now....just have to settle for being colorful.
are you full time mimi?
Had to quit again due to heart attack. But I was full-time. Hoping to get back to it this year.
oh SH**....i had no idea..but keep at it...
Had to write a 2500 word original research paper and got 100%---what a boost to self-esteem. I miss it.
Wow, Mimi!
I wrote in on a subject in my major so am hoping later when I write another I can reference myself!
excellent... yea..i know..I had a 15 000 word one to submit at xmas ( no final exam..was worth 50 % of mark)...finished term with an 86 :)... the brainiacs didnt do so well :D
What is your major, Mimi?
Psychology...want to be a therapist. My ex says it's the blind leading the blind. He may be right but that's also one reason he's my EX.
Pfft on the ex!
pfft the ex X 2
I like the idea of turning the unfortunate events in my life into something useful to help someone else rather than just regret the past.
He and I are much better at being divorced than we were at being married. We're kind of like brother and sister now. His girlfriend is the only fly in the ointment because he was seeing her before we split...
ewww.. creepy
I like my ex better now than when I was married to him.
wonders if there's an ex -recovery program ?
He just can't understand why I've told him to never get us in a room together or I'll be throwing down! She was also married then and for several years after our divorce, too. Self-centered with no moral integrity....now that they live together it will be interesting to see how long it lasts---two self-centered people together.....oh, boy.
Yes, there is, ruru--it's called divorce. I'm SOOO happy to live alone now!
people who cheat.. usually cheat again and again.. the numbers are unusually high
That's what I've told him....If she can do it WITH you, she can do it TO you. I don't know how someone can lie to their family for years like that.
My friends actually encouraged me to have affairs because I was so unhappy but I wouldn't have been able to look at myself in the mirror....kind of old-fashioned that way...you're either married or you're not.
yes.. I get that
How could I teach my children to be honest with me and others if I was, in effect, lying to them every day by cheating? Even if they didn't know, I would.
i have not found the happy place with my ex....i typically cannot have relationships with ex's...i am hot..or cold...more like frigid... it is just who i am
I'm friendly with several of my ex-boyfriends. Still friends with the first love of my life at 15.
Have you heard the expression "Hating or hold a grudge is like swallowing poison and expecting the other person to die?" So true.
can I have a clue for the bo624?
she had lots of sh5
And there were several of her....
bo 6/24 rhymes with a brand of beer...Canadian, I think
The beer starts with an M
OK, all, going to go make cauliflower casserole...yum. Later. ((car))
*notes jellen's beer knowledge*
Bye Mimi
Sorry....((car))x2! And hugs to all.
I've sampled a few beers in my time, lol

I wish I had as much knowledge about wine!
Tx Jellen. Finally got it.
Ruru is the expert on that! Now, I'm gone.

dictionary says it's middle english...
hey Molly is the PB remodeled yet?
well...it is not today's english :D
means to rattle?
no. and I almost said no4 but I caught myself...
Alas, Via, those plans were thwarted. I was frowned upon for making that remark.
oh noes! well, I brought cupcakes.
*molly didn't apply for the right permits*
As far as I know, food is still welcome there.
I'm so behind on all the gossip... what was wrong with remodeling?
did people just not want all the dust and construction noises?
what kind of remodel were you planning Molly?
oh............
......?
Lets just say my remodeling remark was misinterpreted and leave it at that. Happens here a LOT.
when I had my kitchen moved, the general contractor came in a vacuumed many times. Dust wasn't a bad problem.
wheee! ffw!
okay, I'm off. Enjoy the cupcakes and such.
ok everyone, crossy brunch is in the pb.scrambled eggs with shredded cheddar, golden hash browns with diced onion and mushrooms, texas toast and gooseberry jam

Hi and happy Sunday

back
wb ruby
howdy bichon
{{bichon}}
it's gray and rainy today in the Bay Area. And I'm watching three tykes this afternoon
hello rubyfoo and bichon!
Hi Jilly
1hello jilly
I'd trade gray and rainy for cold in a heartbeat
I am really needing spring!
here we now expect spring sometime by the end of june;(
we seem to get our coldest weather in Dec and Jan, so hopefully it will warm up next month
IF we are lucky it'll be june...
leys
basically have 3 seasons now.spring, roadwork and winter
whoops, sorry
ty ruby tuesday:)
that sounds like Binghamton
hey babblers,if i keep ruby talking she will give us the words we are missing;))))
((ruby))
OK, I'll keep quiet :(
<----waiting for ruby to find se5/12 for me....
i am just playing with you ruby:))
pl of se45
hi ruby
like part of your nose
Jilly didn't look up : D
ahhhh....didn't follow the correct direction, as usual
the Nez Perce Indians put a wolf tooth through that part
(just learned in the Lopez wolf book!)
sounds yucky
Imagine trying to blow your nose like that. Ick.
interesting fashion statement
ds
Surprised with all the body jewelry today that someone hasn't restarted....
you'ld have to take the tooth out first
I think they do pierce that -- gives me the yicks
I am "no-piercings" proud
Nurse Jill, question...are doctors and/or nurses allowed to wear earrings in the operating room?
yes, but haven't seen a wolf tooth (yet)
just ears
and I was 30!
first husband FORBADE it!
dictatorial husbands
Molly, yes they are...most do not.
That seems strange to me, considering all the times my earrings have fallen out at inopportune moments. Glad to hear most do not. I'm re-watching Grey's Anatomy and all the scenes with dangly earrings in the operating room, over open body cavities are grossing me out.
I never thought of that, ick
I've always wanted my ears pieced but never got up the gumption to
it was part of my Declaration of Independence
but I still lose jewelry
The only jewelry I wear is my wedding ring. I'm not what you'ld call a girly-girl
Gray's Anatomy, like most medical TV, has things that you do not see in real life.
I don't wear my wedding ring; I'm afraid I'll lose it again
the last time, it lived in the washing machine for 6 months
5 left and all 5's....may have to list
That is what my nurse girly in law says Jill. She says most operating room scenes in medical tv shows look super fake to her.
and all law shows look fakey to lawyers
The only one that was anywhere realistic was ER, they actually had medical people as advisors.
<-----!!FW!! all last 5's were plurals, figures
Yeah! Jilly
yay jilly
I used to laugh at all the cleavage attire and spike heels that Cuddy wore on House. Most female hospital chiefs of staff don't dress like that.
good night everybody, 40 left and I'm freezing!
what about the police shows, also with cleavage....
Or their hair flopping in their eyes as they bust into a crack house on a raid : D
And the tight pants ruby....
Niters rubyfoo...stay warm!
can you imagine dressing like that when you're around criminals?
or even other police?
*woof*
The last believeable female cop on TV was DCI Tennison. ( Helen Mirren)
Hi All
The main character on Body Of Proof (a medical examiner) goes to crime scenes to evaluate dead bodies in five inch heels. Right.
doesn't everyone
NBT and NBS - and good afternoon all
hi Teach
yes hego, I agree about Tennison
Hi bichon
hello hego
I have been watching it again on Netflix.
wtg teach!

Go Teach!!
I also watched all the seasons of MI5. That was great too
I didn't acheive all the V's until the end...good job teach!
Brie TV is the best.
Yes, watched a lot of it from Netflix.
um, Brit TV
Well, must toddle off to the store...bbl, hagd all!

*poof*
bye Jilly
Do you need any clues for the two Vs , Teach?

two Vo5 one is a choir has beautiful voi***
the other Vo 5 is the electrical current with a vowel on the end.

hello sue and all
I just started so not a lot of words yet, sorry!

it gives me a good excuse to get on with my knitting! lol
lol...
that is something I would like to learn to do...tried years ago...just didn't get it...lol
i been doing it for over 30 years now. my nan taught me when i was a kid and i just have not stopped. have taught alot of people too
i have taught myself crochet and cross stitch too
love to knit - learned in college and then when my grown boys were babies and now again that i am retired - love to relax wtih it in the evening - we have a church knitting group that has a prayer shawl project
Mine tried to teach me when I was very young...wasn't happening...then tried again in my early 20's still didn't get it....I have done cross stitch though :)
have tried to learn to crochet but not as comfortable doing it as i am knitting
maybe I'll try again...ya know 3rd time saying and all
help with do5 plz
the 1st one
don't have list - but my first do 5 - italian word (i think) for sweet or good
Rhymes with bo5
Do5 & Gabbana...handbag maker
thank you teach that was the one
and my last d word...phew
Molly: possible death on Once tonight. Writers hinted at it
maybe mulan or aurora will die???? :)
ooo, thanks for the reminder cos
yw :) im just glad once is on a hour before biggest loser!
gotta go for now....15 left for latter...bye all :)
bye smores
Boo, hiss for a death on Once. Unless it is someone insignificant.
They may as well kill off August or Jefferson since we never see them anymore.
August is dead already but they said he would be back this season
figured by now "telco" would be in the lexicon
I've got a le7 and a no7. could you tell me what I'm missing?
bo7 -- she wrangled fairytale wool-bearing animals :-)
bo6/7 dumb word but it goes with sh5
(she's the bo6, then plural)
true :-)
that's a good one :)
34 to go.
back in a bit *poof*
aww chop isnt a word.. otherwise itd go with sh5 ;)
How is August dead? We saw him moving after the curse was broken.
time to list.
wait sorry im thinking of graham... but that there proves ur point. i never see them i forgot their names already
Glad to hear Graham will be back. He's luscious. : P
You know I watched season 1 again and this time I ignored his beard and you're right.
He just needs to shave :)
Oh see I like the scruffy half-beard thing. : D
Jefferson's style is fine. David is too pretty boy for me
Yes, David is too pretty boy for me too.
hints for the le and no 7's? Please
no7 is most admirable and le7 is a subatomic particle I think
thanks for the hints, Harry. Got the no,trying to figure out the le...
yc!!!!
not even gonna try
le6...like the soup mix but different second vowel (don't know if you have the soup mix in Isreal)
they have the iced tea in israel
Thanks Molly, no sopu mix here but I grew up in the states. Right Harry, we have the teas
The yc word is a low blow
hint?
or is that a hint?
What are the stats?
yc6/30
6 to go here
Good Afternoon Everyone.
gotta run...bbl to finish
the yc is 6/30; yc +pt of jump
Thanks Nef, no way I could have gotten that in any natural way!
do6 the first please?
The spelling and everything is wrong; the the last 4 letters are also a word in the grid
d + short for pregnant lady doctor + not daughter
The last five letters of that yc word are a word in the grid too.
Help, I need the t on the far right column for NBT and I can go to bed. Can anyone clue that for me?
te 4/4, a chemistry term (but I always think of itas something else
Hello Nef, molly, michnick, cos and all lurkers!

♫ With a song in my heart! ♫
Hello happy Jill
hi Jilly! You sould really cheerful today! :-)
Hi Jilly
Thanks Molly, I got 2 ty's,not getting the te, but I never did well in Chem
Sorry, new computer with Win 8 is still not playing nicely with my router
te6/18= te+Ozzie and Harriet N*****
Hah! Thanks Jilly!
It's been a good weekend Nef and a few decisions made to my life...
That wasn't an age test BTW Michnick! ;)
I just looked it up, and (in French) it's a masculine French adjective used in many expressions and conjunctions
a colorless, oily, water-insoluble, poisonous liquid
the te 4 is just 2 letters short of the te 6 :-)
What decisions have you made, Jilly?
Welll, Jilly, I only remember the re-runs!
Yes,Jilly, sounds monumentous
And if you are just starting grid...there is an absolutely quirky word (& pl) Little bo6/30 lost her sh5/14
silly word, lol
Well michnick, there is a similar word that means an act/facial expression revealing a good hand in poker, only this one does not double the middle consonant
Hey Harp...feeling better?
The mind boggles, or babbles??
Actually, Nef, will message you that on Facebook...
i've "graduated" to 100.4
thanks, Jilly. You know I'm nosey... ;-)
harp; did you get the flu?
I do recall a nice person on Friday who told you about Tamiflu; that if taken early will knock that flu down.
yeah, jilly but that ship has sailed...
i think it's the flue nef, we have norovirus going around also.
Did you get a flu shot?
*Sends Harp chicken soup*
yes, jilly, in september
nbt nbs
what church service did you go to, jilly? i had to bail on Gina at 7:30.
Jane: Went to 5:30 Sat and on the flu shot, it is really only effective for 90 days. I am considering paying to get a second one...
I got my flu shot the middle of October; I never get it earlier than that, and would have waited til the end of Oct, but since we were flying in Nov I wanted it to be effective..
wtg jane (nbt/nbs)
I will be in and out of chog; have some work to get done!
I know too many nurses who have been really sick with the flu this year. Most of them have had the flu shot; but it doesn't seem very effective. Is it due to getting it too early or just doesn't last this year?
It's a different strain than the shot.
true, Krysten; I forgot about that
I had heard they sort of missed the mark this year...
We traveled overseas in Oct, that is why we got the shot so early. But sometimes you just get sick anyway. Right?
Well I thnk I broke my 2206 record. The last time I was this sick was 1998. And, I'm here to tell you, television is REALLY bad, isn't it?
I guess that when they start to develop the flu shot each year; it's kind of a wild guess which type they think will be the right one
this seems like a silly question, is the yc a familiar word?
Hell no
lol, could i get a clue?
y + a *****omaniac steals things
yc+cl5/14
Harp, I can't watch "live TV" anymore. Too many commercials. That's why I subscribe to Hulu Plus and Amazon Prime.
good clues you two! I'm too slow to clue today
i watched Twin Peaks Season 2 yesterday. Today movies on the CW network.
It's actually pretty good if you don't mind movies about three women committing suicide in different generations.
The Hours
Hello Babblers
Hi Wht
<----Will not watch Nicole Kidman movies
hi wht.
our son got us a thing called "NeoTV" for Christmas. You can hook it up and watch Netflix, YouTube and even FB on TV (not that we are that advanced yet, you understand)
we get whatever there is from the antenna on the roof.
Molly, is there a reason you dislike Nicole Kidman movies?
well she dies in this one, she plays virginia Woolf
Yes Wht, I think she is a terrible actress.
That seems reasonable enough.
the bo6/24? please?
b + the last name of some famous twins
bbobsey? lol
thanks
Be aware of Netflix. They now take personal information from you, and the govt. now has access to what kind of movies you watch: http://www.motherjones.com/mojo/2012/1\n2/netflix-video-privacy-facebook-shari\nng
clue for the sy5?
sy + spell out the third letter of the alphabet
ty Molly. That had not occured to my monkeys. Fireworks.
I'm not a Neflix fan. They seem to be the last to get so many TV series and movies.
Friendly reminder...long urls blow the chat width. Better to make it a tiny url if you are going to post it. There are also random /n's stuck into long urls.
Sorry, I forgot.
do 6/27?
do + consonant + male son
thanks, like the telescope
hi all

Thank you, Molly.
Need to go rustle up some dinner. Happy Babbling all.
Hello all. :-)
on to the p's...
howdy, everyone! that bo6/7 is so wrong.
*Waves at LBD and Soodle*
hiya, Molly!
Look at the definition. Since when is peekaboo bo6?
Hey Molls. :-) . Son made it back to UK safely. Christmas decorations all taken down and stashed till next year. My house looks boring and tinsel-free. :-(
can you clue the bo6/7?
I have 2 bo 6's but no 7
A bo 6/30 is the little girl who lost her sh 5/12 and plural it
she who has lost her sh5
plural
little bp6 + pl mind the sh6
no way
no way really?

ty
Bo6/30. Unreliable shepardess.
Soodle, glad to hear boy-o made it back to the UK safely. Hope his next visit is soon, I know you love them. Now that
Christmas is over, it's time to look forward to Spring!!
i have bo7 & le7, what is the other?
no7
Ah, for sure Molls!! Daffodils are already poking their shoots up in my garden. Brave little daffs!
ok thanks beth
yvw : )
The weather here's been so mild, it's incredible. Long may it last.
I love how nature reminds us that the wheel of the year turns. Slowly sometimes, but it always turns.
Hello to my fellow babblers! How is everybody doing today?
By the way, congratualations to all the finishers! Way to go!
hi babblers
Yay for Spring and new growth & daffodils!
hi all, taking a break from putting away the Christmas trimmings
Hey Min & Welki. :-)
hi beth
With you there Beth
Place koo
Place koo
Yay! The fat chat is gone!
Place looks a bit forlorn without the tinsel
Oh dear, Soodle is into the Christmas spirits again.
Hello welki! How are you doing today? Welcome to the grid
LOL! I like that one the "fat chat".
hello everyone
Hello Anniebrook! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
Hi Annie
hi, annie - what good things did you pick up at B&N?
we have all the stuff back in the attic, but not everyhing is yet back in place. the decorations displace a lot of stuff into the sunporch, so hopefully by tuesday all will be normal. Or better than normal because I will actually dust everything before it goes back where it belongs
I wish, Molly! Back to work tomorrow. Clear head required.
hi Annie!
Pish, a clear head at work is highly over rated.
hi welki, I bought The Worst Hard Time by Timothy Egan about the Dust Bowl in the 1930 and stationery which I sorely needed and some great birthday cards. Had a blast.
Hi beth
<---Loves someone who still uses stationary
Or stationery
I spent such a nice day with my son in NYC on Fri. Part of my Christmas present was a trip to the lower east side to visit the Te. So interesting!nement Museum there
our idea of 'Girls Gone Wild" - Barnes and Noble gift cards!
Molly, I actually write letters and put it in envelopes and stamp the envelope and mail it. I'm a dinosaur.

No Annie, you are just someone who holds onto well loved traditions. Good for you.
do any of the men observe that holiday???
Is it Ladies Night at the pub?
Good morning :)
Hello Lizlin! How are you doing? Welcome to the chat log.
Dunno!!! No men in this house!!! It's like a convent round here!
My hubby does lots anyway, so I can't complain but I love the concept!
Lots of old habits
Hey BR. Happy New Year.
Hello BabbleRabble! How are you doing? Welcome to chog.
I am doing fine, Minveryork. Once again getting educated about the thought processes of women.
STORY ALERT!!!!! I have just posted my story in my profile.
BR, becoming educated on the subject of women is the same as becoming educated on the subject of men - you might as well try to predict the weather
Jack Nicholson's speech in 'As Good As It Gets' springs to mind.......
Perhaps, but women never tire of the discussion.
not sure you can generalize about either
Even if true does not stop the experts
I think of a man, and I take away reason and accountability.
Chortle!!!!
ty for your story Min. Original as ever and useful :)
Thanks Min. :-)
Better lines from the movie: Carol: ALL I WANT IS A NORMAL BOYFRIEND!!! Carol's Mom: We all do dear, they don't exist. : D
yw
Carol's Mom rocks!
The experts have spoken.
hi all *biting nails*
Meh. Better log off. Work tomorrow. 'Night all. And Happy New Year.
bye soodle happy new year
hi jmc
Goodbye Soodle! I will see you tomorrow in the log maybe.
bye, soodle
Hello jmcnrick! How are you doing? Welcome to the puzzle
Biting nails?
skins are up by only 1 point
Oh that, I'm trying not to listen.
Random typing of letters and it is actually a word. Quite surprised.
what can i say. . .football is part of texan genetics
that is monkeys for you momo
Definitely. Sure do like those monkeys
that is why there are always bananas in the pb
hi mom - got your name back :)
did momo lose her naem?
*name
Yes. Turns out I had 2 accts. Since I hadn't played in so long, I must have signed up a second time.
*giggle* quarterback sack
Got everything cleared up with Dr. God
that is the advantage of using the same name for everything. . . if it comes up being used already i know i am already signed up
he's a peach - we owe him big time for hosting this site
dr. god is a helpful guy considering he is pretty hands off
I usually do that. But, since I have my own business, along with family things. It was getting used so much I was trying to simplify and actually made it confusing for myself.
lol - i think we've all tried that 'let's simplify' strategy - doesn't seem to work that well
haha i completely understand that momo
Hello momof5!How are you doing?Welcome to the chat log
i just gave up caring if people can find me
I now use RoboForms to keep all my id names and passwords in one place
Hi Min. Doing well. Enjoying getting back to the game more regularly.
Dr_God is a man ....and is, therefore, without reason or accountability .... or only exits as an abnormal .... the experts tell us so.
does it generate "more" secure passwords for you, too? (and how much does it cost?)
i use my yahoo account. . . under my name in contacts in the notes i list all my accounts password (cryptically) and hint answers
Robo has a free trial period of 30 days. You can then pay a fee (depending on your devices and needs). I got used to it when I worked for someone else, and use it for my own business now. Really helps when every site I go to needs a login
Definitely has high security too
You can check it out here: www.roboform.com
watching the video
looks like, for what i'd need it for (my aging memory), it'd be $10 for the first year and $20/year after that
(hehehe - US Dollars)
Not too bad, considering some of the fees for other options out there
that sounds like a good deal
if you use a mac, there's a built in password manager called keychain - you enter in the data and only have to remember one password
(there are limitations with keychain, though - i think i might try the trial and, if i like it, cough up the dough)
i could do all my tax stuff on a mac until recently. . .too much trouble to change my life now
*couldn't
i use both
BUT - no upgrade to windows 8 :)
we use lastpass -- free -- and again it only needs one password. I HATE the keychain on the mac, cannot figure out how to tell it to stop saving and filling in things.
I used to have a mac for basic home use, etc. Now that I have a business, I prefer the Windows. It just works better for my needs and with the companies I connect with
I hate a lot of things about the mac...
stats for the 4th row E please
and hello all! down to 31
I loved the mac for its simplicity and never had any viruses, etc.
maybe es 4/7
EL 5/12 jmc
hmmmm ty both
nbt
needed that ES, thanks welk
go jmc go!
hi all! can somebody clue my last word - do6?
hi harry
how long have you used lastpass, stid? i see that they have a basic free version and a pay-premium version
hi jmc, welki, stid
hey, harry - nice to 'see' you
several years, welki -- Tom started using it, and now we all do. It's stable, easy to access from anywhere, and as secure as we need.
do + buffalo: *i***
hey harry!
definition or clue?
(((BR))) hello dear friend!
good - was having a rough time (thanks, br)
do6 : last 3 letters are male child
you store your financial passwords on it?
Hello, stid. Hope you are well and smiling.
ty br :)
hahahaha -- like there's anything to hack
I am, BR, both! :-D
yw, Harry
hope the same is true for you.
now hellgrammite, THAT'S a word
now that i know - they're great trout bait
it's a good name for a band.
heavy metal
bass - good for bass :)
hah
Thanks, stid
some of them, welki -- but those accounts have additional security on the bank end
bbl
later all! thanks for the help
later, jm
Be Well
sy5?
later jmc
later harry
I didn't know that one was there, LA... *looking*
went back in the chog... it's sy + third letter of alphabet
The sy 5/16 word is sy 4/7 word + another vowel LeslieAnn
Needed those as well. Thanks
May I please have a clue for te6-18? Thanks
ah, thanks LA!
hey peach and Min!
Hi there, stiddie and Min.
Just monkeyed that one - it also uses male child at the end
first part is prefix to phone
Thanks much, momof5.
yw
That te 6/18 word rhymes with N***** Mandela gapeach.
Hello stidmama! How are you doing? Welcome to the chog.
Thanks much, Min.
clue for bo 6 /24 please
Seems most of the 6 words use male child for ending, Lizlin
Certainly did - ty momo :)
Thanks much, Lizlin.
yw gapeach :)
Have 2 more 6 words to find - I'll search them out and add the male child!!!!
Doing the same as I still have 4 words of 6
Hm - didn't work with the pe 6 / 24 :(
Nor the yc6
I tried it with the se6 but it didn't work.
use pt ending to pe 4
that one is a numerical word
yc such a strange word
Still trying to figure it out
Really strange - monkeyed it early on by mistake! Very happy!
It builds on the past tense of le 4 - to jump
Thx Liz! Got it
Still not getting that pe 6! Missing a few pe words still though. Down to 17 - listed at 20!
do5-14 please.....thanks
bo 6/24 word rhymes with a kind of beer or actress Rachel bi****, change the first vowel to another Lizlin.
do 5/ 14 - Italian for sweet or dessert
ty Min - have the bo word!
pe6 builds off the pe4. If you are hit by something you could say you were pe6/24
do 5/14 word is do 4/5 word w/extra consonant gapeach.
15 to go for me
ty for the pe word - don't know how I missed that! So obvious!
15 now for me but going out for beach walk in a few mins so will have to finish later
Those are the ones I always seem to miss too
have fun on the beach, liz
Bye Liz
Thanks much, Min.
Still here for a bit!
okay, no matter how cute the word is, "peepod" is NOT valid. *sigh*
se6-24 please.....it is my last word......thanks
lol :)
hi again :)
se 6 /24 - time measurement
thanks liz, hey smores and YAY peach!!!
runs straight across the line and then down
Hi smores
Gads, thanks so much, Lizlin.
Yay Peach :)
I'll see y'all at the flip. Thanks again for all the help.

I tried that one too

hey also gwen!
hiya stid and congrats on your fw!
That's ok stiddy, just been wanting to touch base!
WTG Stidmama...sorry left for a minute
(((firefly))) tag! you're it!
fireworks
Well, surgery went well, and I've had zero headaches since! I feel like a new person!
wtg annie !!!!!!!! @ @ !!!!!!!!
wow, that's great news, firefly!
WOO-HOO!!!!! We should have a party! I wonder if anyone has the hot tub keys...
that yc drove me crazy
;)
very good news, firefly
can't believe Enable doesn't accept olde....with all the "olde" spellings of some words
yet it has words like bo6
I am so glad your headaches are better. Headaches suck.
That's wonderful firefly...so happy for you :)
Yep, plagued with them for nine months between the first and second surgeries and now, gone. Think I may have licked this beast...
Thank you everyone!
okay, so hot tub keys found behind the pina coladas. Who has the key to the cabana boy storage locker? *looks around*
Ooh, cabana boys...lol
gonna come back for these last 10...Once is about to start...have a good one all :)
See ya next time smores :)
later smores
firefly, how's the weather over there? It's a lot drier and warmer than normal (in general) over here.
We were able to prune the last of the fruit trees yesterday -- that's my younger son in his pear tree. He was taking out about fifteen feet of the central trunk to keep things more manageable.
firefly, I read your profile and am so happy for you. You are a brave and wonderful girl.
It's been low 30's or less, but pretty dry. Kids are disappointed we only had snow Christmas Day but then no more.
Woman, too
Thanks Annie, I feel brave. :) and I feel like a conquerer too. It's been a long year, and I'm very optimistic about 2013 being SO much better!
It will be better. You overcame the worst of it. 2013 will be Your year.
can't wait till 2014 when i (we) get healthcare!
well, a white xmas is pretty rare, so that's something. They'll get plenty of snow soon, I bet!
Good night, dear babblers. I am going to read.
My inlaws are in Chicago (again) with their daughter's family. I think they are getting more snow and storm there than usual, though not so bad yet as that one storm last year.
Night Annie ;)
I thought the white Xmas was a real nice touch myself, and it was nice wet snow that packed really well for snowmen and snowballs. Usually our snow is much too dry for that.
ah, wet snow! that's the best!
We had a white morning, but by afternoon it was all gone in our yard, though it lingered more in town.
And it has been icy a few mornings, from ice fog, but otherwise not bad for driving.
Hello all just starting up.
How's the house, firefly? Are you "all done" with it now and settled in, or are you (like us) STILL working on one thing or another? We've only been here 13 years, no hurry...
hello Mother!
<--- This was Grant yesterday, in his pear tre...
tree, I mean. *sigh*
A nice view of him outstanding in his tree.
He's taking the largest piece of the pearwood to the school woodshop. I figure fruitwood like that will score big with his teacher. And he'll keep the rest for himself.
Did you get to hear Matthew play? Was there a good turnout at the jam?
I didn't go in. I just dropped him off today. We stopped by his lodgings to leave off his purchaes, pack, and slacks. Less stuff to remember at the end of the day.
Good thinking.
I completely forgot to bring your tortillas over -- will drop them by tomorrow. So far, no work, so might have a day "off" to visit with you.
Oh no, we are still doing things in and around the house. Finally put up a shade and valance in the kitchen this weekend! Still have touch ups to do from building too...it's a process lol
It sure is -- and just as one thing gets fixed, something else needs touching up, adjusting, repairs...
Hello stidgmere! How are you doing? Welcome to the chog
stidmama, did I miss our fireworks? I had to go eat dinner.
I wanted to get my FWs w/you, but then dinner was ready.
Oh, I didn't tell you...whenst in Seattle we stayed the weekend after pre-op appts before the Monday surgery and we took in the King Tut exhibit at the Pacific Science Center! It was amazing, to say the least.
I did not enjoy the cold and rain however...but it was a great weekend just my hubby and I before the big hospital moment. ;)
I am glad you got to the Tut exhibit. Mother, Matthew and I saw it in Los Angeles years ago, Tom and Grant saw it this time. I think I was judging debate that weekend.
I am glad you had some time "alone together" -- those are precious moments when one has young children!
Min, I found the last word a little while ago, monkeying -- didn't even "see" I had found a valid word until I noticed the fw on the screen1
We got the book after with all the pictures to show the kids, yet strangely we've yet to sit down and do that. Lol.
I am sorry I didn't wait for you.
I have one of the Tut exhibit books out in my bedroom, firefly! They are fun to look at even years later.
I am glad we didn't try to come home between Fridays appts and Mondays surgery though - the pass crammed up and closed. It was snowy coming back the following Wednesday and driving 30 mph, but we survived.
I do just want to point out that the Seahawks managed to win rather convincingly again... I hope the QB on the other team will be okay, he seemed to hurt his leg badly on one play.
Yes, Snoqualmie hasn't been that easy this year -- though still better than some of the others!
Congratulations stidmama on your fireworks! Hooray for U
It's a long drive if you do it twice on one weekend, firefly -- good call to save some time and gasoline and be better rested for the surgery.
In that case,I will enter last word. Been saving it since 4:51
go Min go!
I am finished! I have fireworks! se 6/24 was my final word.
YAY Min!!!
Congrats minver and stidmama.
Story already in profile, but I will be here to clue if needed
Well, my eyes are pretty tired. I think I will go start heating water for noodles. It's a good night for something simple like spaghetti and green beans.
Goodbye stidmama! I will see you tomorrow in the chat log
Firefly, I hope you continue to feel wonderful. And that the kids get enough snow to satisfy their snowball=throwing inclinations!
I'll call you tomorrow, Mother *poof*
Night stiddy, glad we connected again. ;)
firefly779, I just read your profile.I am so glad 2012 ended well with the success of your surgery. How have you been?
Good evening everyone!
Hi car. How are you on this Sunday evening?
Struggling to hang on to what wits I have left and extremely exhausted, but otherwise fine!
How are you stid?
Keeping up the faith then. Still trying. I am fine. Quiet day other than rooting for the Seahawks and having older grandson over for lunch.
Quite a win for the Hawks today!
It was more of a loss for the Redskins. Their quarterback could not do his usual best and that made the difference.
Hello car.eeyore! How are you doing? Welcome to the chat
Hello Min! How are you this evening?
I am well.Got fireworks half hour ago. Are you finished yet
No. I am so exhausted I can't even see straight, so I am just hanging out trying to get 1 or 2 more words.
What are the stats for the 7's?

Hi Molly! My mom fell yesterday and broke her scapula. She is home and I was so worried about her comfort that I did not sleep. Now, with her dementia issues, it is getting very difficult already, so I am hiding out for a few minutes before checking on her again.

TY! Got the LE 7.
That yc 6/30 word is yc that plus le 4/5 word medusa.

It is frustrating...and when I am so tired...I am not on my game...but she needs me to be. Thank GOD for Trif and Kadresa today!!!!!
I'm glad you have help. It's a hard thing to do on your own. I hope you and your Mom both get some rest tonight.
hi all, back again!
Oh, she was do4d up last night, so she slept like a baby...wish I had predicted that!
I am going to go check on her and make sure she is settled for bed and then head to bed myself. Good night everyone. {{hugs}} all around!!!
Goodbye car.eeyore! I'll see you tomorrow in the chat log.

lol it is sunday night after all
true. But our grandson left many hours ago....
house feels empty now?
nope; more like quiet! :-)
lol i enjoy that when ryans moms dog leaves the house after we dogsit him lol
I sure wish my computers win8 system would learn to play nicely with my router...
these past 2-3 weekends our son has stayed over with the grandson. He helps us by doing some house hold chores we can't right now (ie: neither DH or I can open a pickle jar right now); so that adds to the disruption...
oh, JIlly. Still having troubles? (I had to have my son hook up the new router when he was here a few weeks ago
My computer seems to be the only one having difficulty. Must be the Win8. I certainly hope our router hold on...
Ours just died without warning. I got it hooked up; but the computers wouldn't talk to the printer and the printer just got weird.
We have not connected printers; use blue tooth for that.
I don't have blue tooth yet. The printer decides it may or may not work now. It may print in the AM something we wanted printed last night. DOn't know why or how that happens; but once our son is here, it works beautifully again (and it's less than a year old!
So, if I disappear...you know why. Actually not too bad, I just disconnect then reconnect.
hey all
Hey there ((stid))
I just got home from getting Grant from his gf's bday party, and taking a friend of theirs home...
It has been a long day.
how are you-all?
I actually may get a MAC Air. The hospital is changing out the ones the doctors have and I can put in to get one for $400.
Nef, you need an electric jar opener thingy like my folks have!
Stid's Taxi is up and running!!
this computer of mine does that whenever it wants to also; Jilly. DH bought me a new used computer last year for Christmas and it's tempermental (older Mac OS that Apple isn't continuing support for)
The Macs are okay, jilly -- if you don't want to babble on it...
hi stid.
We've always had a Mac since back in the early 90's. Dh has a PC and the laptop os a PC also (but it has Linex for an OS)
I thought it would be good way to learn MAC, use the graphic/movie stuff. I have a new Dell laptop.
I babble on mine, but can't use Expert -- I have to do the semi-old-fashioned trick of using Lickety in the browser. :-)
There are some nice features with the movie software, for sure!
I also thought it might be nice to travel with being so light. Woudln't be using for a regular as the Air doesn't have a disc drive.
I think that getting a Mac Air for $400 is a good deal; BUT just make sure it was made after 2009 and has intel processors
Hello my lovelies
(I think all the Mac Airs do; but be sure and ask about that)
hi herin
2010 and will check on the intel.
Hello herin
Hi
Finally got FW! (chatted too much earlier I guess!)
Yikes iit is nearly flip time
When did it become this late in the day (for me any way)
Not having intel means that the new OS of Lion or whatever isn't in it and so there's no way to play a lot of the videos on Youtube or Flash or other stuff like that
did you take a nap or something herin?
`There was no nap for me just been trying to earn my keep around the house and doing housework
Wondering if I can manage to stay up for flip. No work tomorrow...low census day and it's going to be a mother-son day!
Oh, and thanks Nef for the MAC info.
With a washing machine that is leaking i have been using towels under it. I feel like I am washing for a whole soccer team
herin, come clean my house! Please? ;-)
brb...I hope!
yw, Jilly. I wish we would have known that before DH got this one
You paying the Airfair?
LOL!!! There's always a catch, isn't there?? ;-)
sorry I disappeared, my computer has been acting strange since tom updated the OS.
Yep
Hi Stid
hey lady
Nef with the heat we have had it has made it very easy to quickly catch up on all the washing if there was extra
crazy how we are all so dependent on these electronic devices, isn't it stid? Jilly has been having trouble staying online too
My laptop keyboard is faulty :(
that leaky washing machine doesn't sound like fun, herin.
true indeed, nef
It isn't especially when there is carpet next to it
bummer, lady
Nef, thanks for the pep talk earlier.
I have to head out -- if I can get in bed by ten, I will have at least seven hours' sleep before I have to be up in the morning.
Have a great week, everyone! *poof*
herin, would that be covered by a warranty? What you had described to me about it the last time we talked makes me think it's a problem of faulty wiring or something
Niters stid!!!
There is no warrenty on it as it is old and seconds
Night Stid
oh, so it isn't the computer you got last Christmas?
I hate late night commercials
so do I cos.
Yes it is the computer. Sorry I thought you ment the machine
washing machine
THe Pc will get sorted when I can get my act together. HI Cos
hi all
Why does it always take so long waiting for the flip when I'm done with the grid; but the time goes too fast when I haven't finished ?
Well I hate to love you and leave you but at flip I have ot do things
bye, herin! See you later!
come on baby wants a huge grid...
You alls take care
