*giggle* i usually pull my pillow over my head....and wait for himself to get up and fix it...but shhh....don't tell him.
LOL rose
dc, I missed what happened to you... do you mind sharing?
i had a teeth-chattering fever, and tore a left calf muscle thrashing in my sleep kicking off the blankets and quilt. re-injury from last August.
so are you in a walking cast?
wow
now i'm bopping around to PT and specialists to make sure it heals well. no, that's not a cast injury.
was walking with a cane, but have switched to one of my hiking sticks since i'm getting better.
Is surgery in your future, or does this just take a long time to heal?
long time to heal.
sounds dangerous for your bedmate DC
i lack that, so not an issue, and the cat that night slept elsewhere.
ah
i should be back to normal March or early April.
so very sorry, but glad you are at least seeing progress now
It wasn't the Kim Kardashian Flu was it?
18 Dec was injury. Every few days/weeks i see a big leap forward.
it was a flu, but i doubt related to those imbeciles.
ROFL
lol
Thursday, PT day, i awoke feeling as near to normal as i had in weeks.
It's the only one I could think of that would make someone thrash around in bed
dcs, himself says normal is a setting on a washing machine....are you a talking washing machine? if so...i have something i want you to say to my washing machine...because we ain't communicating too well.
I want to get back to dancing. I can't even do a simple waltz with this injury.
i normally walk 12-30 miles/wk. I had 3 weeks i could barely walk at all.
ouch.. sorry DC
Trying very hard this time to have it heal right.
so very sorry, dc, had / has to be frustrating
This time hurt a lot more than last time, which is why i went for medical treatment this time, kindly my motheris paying for that.
we all have our things that frustrate us medically, and mine happily i will recover from with full functionallity, Many are not so lucky.
very true
oh, only 22-28 for Melbourne next few days, nice weather in South Australia. Enjoy, rose. :)
thanx dcs....and i'm not working until the temp. begins to climb again....
ne 7/28
Well, i should fill the humidifier and get some sleep. A HS friend is in town from Melbourne, and a bunch of us are meeting for drinks tomorrow afternoon.
sounds fun
huh. I thought mi7.32 was Southern dialectal.
I'm sure it will be. A surprising number of my HS friends live in the Melbourne area. More reason to visit there when i get to Australia. :)

May I help you before I leave?

I have a "stolen" half hour....
hello Babble friends!
{{sprite}}
hey ruby *hug* Nice to be here during your stolen half hour
and I'm glad you're here. How are you doing in all this cold? And Tim, any improvements?
am doing ok, am dressing in layers and only cold when I am very tired. Tim is doing ok. Some flare-ups, but manageable. Last fight, which was big, with his sister... I could get him to 'feel' and not just 'think' and that was a big improvement.
how are you doing over there?
me, to, with the layers. Like a little kid with his snowsuit and his arms sticking straight out
lol fun image
Hi all, shhhhhh, I think all the Amerricns went to bed, just us Europeans now.
hi Marmar, lol
Hi Sweeties!
Well, maybe a lone Canadian?
I am close to my normal 50% and have loads of work to do but just have to say howdy today.
hi marmar, are you in Germany? I think we are all three in the same time zone. How rare!
uh oh, are you up early or late, swimbo?
hiya swmbo!
Ha! Hi swmbo! You're up late.
Yes Ruby, just north of Frankfurt.
Yes, working a night shift, which will end in half an hour. So just putting in time until then. :)
I've spent a little time in Dusseldorf but otherwise just a little bit in Marburg
hehehe playing hooky hmmmm?
What time is it in your mutual time zone?
11:30AM
Oh that is practical swmbo. Dcseain used to do that every night but that was ages ago.
it is 11.30 am here
Ohhh, Marburg is "schöne"!
Not really playing hooky. I work in a nursing home. All the residents have been turned, changed etc. so I just have to wait for my replacements at 7 AM
yes it is! I was there in '67 0r 8
when I was still working, I used to play SimCity when things got slow, so don't feel bad, swimbo
I'm actually 30 minutes away from there and we go there at any excuse. Great altstadt! Very little damag in the war therefore the integrity of the old buildings is still there.
ah ok, so really just filling the time until you can go home :) Did you have a quiet watch?
I don't know if I could do night shift work for a long stretch, but it must have some nice advantages.
and my son, who was 4 at the time, found a fragment of a decorative tile in the churchyard and he still treasures it, all these years later
Very quiet. I am the charge nurse in a 68 bed home. All the residents are in stable health and so things are quiet (for now)
ah nice. Both for the residents and for you.
Actually I am retired and only work very occasionally when they are short
Ah ruby, that is so special. A friend of mine from England lives in York England and her son started collecting tile and porcelain fragments when he was little, he has a huge and beautiful collection now.
I see. They are lucky to have you, then.
I collect blue and chite pottery and chines and, over the years, I've saved every broken piece (many) and this summer, God willing, I'll make a Gaudi-esque mosaic bench out of the pieces
That's nice swmbo, I love your hobbies on your profile!
white*
china*
now if I could just type lol
*giggles*
have to go, see you kids later. That was a quick 100~
I have saved all my own broken porcelain dishes and hope to do a similar project soon.
bye ruby, that was a short half hour
LOL I forgot about my hobbies. They are from Alice in Wonderland. I remember when I read it as a child being so delighted with the puns, my first experience of them. I love puns.
<--- loves puns too
Well 20 minutes to blast off, must go count the narcotics. Nice chatting :)
it was nice to see you, swmbo! Sleep well
I have to dash too, bye you all, I wish all a wonderful weekend.
bye Marmar, have a grand day
bye spritey!
150 left, back later for the rest
Take care, Spritey.
it's Saturday...its snowing and there's 357 words...perfect..

My hubby thinks it's like axle grease!
LOL

As zooz says - and that's their advertising slogan. But it is yummy!

Anyone else have experience with flu vaccine reaction in kids?
Take care
bye Dawg
Bye lbd.....have a good day :)
Take care, Dawg.
Bye Dawg!
No car, I haven't
car., would a call to the doctor be in order or call the pharmacy
I will call the pediatrician shortly.
bye dawg, have an easy day
Dylan had a headache yesterday, so I took him to the doctor. We concluded he has anxiety, which we will be working on. I then decided to have him get the flu mist vaccine. He woke up in teh middle of the night with aches, nausea and a fever. Poor kid. I feel so guilty.
car. please dont feel guilty. You did the right thing.
please don't feel guilty car...lots of ppl of all ages have a reaction...think how much worse he would feel if he got the flu full blown..its been horrible here...knocking adults out for a week
:( poor guy...but don't feel guilty
How old is Dylan? I have a grandson named Dylan.
My parents get the flu jab every year..and sometimes they get cold like symptoms for a few days then it clears..not sure about children though.
8
a great age for a little guy
When i had mine a while back i reacted really badly and took over six weeks to recover. Treat with paracelamol and lots of fluids. Least that is what they told me.
It has happened to me before, but not this time. I got the flu shot and had absolutely no reaction. I just wanted to keep him safe from this horrible flu :(
car. you did the right thing
I have to have the jab...not a problem...wouldn't go into winter without it
My sister had the flu this year..and like, Rolin said it knocks the stuffing out of you..i would much rather have the flu jab.
I would definately check with his doctor, but don't feel guilty, I'm sure it will pass soon and is much better than getting the flu
BBL
The problem is...I am supposed to be at my other son's Klondike Derby today.
My husband has taken him but I don't want to miss it.
Is it very far, is there someone who could maybe stay with Dylan while you go?
It is about 45 minutes away...and Dylan doesn't want to miss it either. He is so sad.
:(
hi and GM to all

Hi ruby :)

hi smores
;) thanks scrabbler
I would love a breakfast buffet, catered by crossy
second breakfast for moi
I would be happy having breakfast food for all meals
why can't you pluralize the st 5/10 [something that keeps arteries open]?
I think Enable sees it as a verb, not noun
What are there, 300 S words???
but even if it's a verb, you should be able to pluralize it. Oh, whatever
I agree bichon, my husband has 3!
let's petition Enable
I always try st5 + s anyway, and keep getting rejected
hurshy and neil were chatting about that a few days ago bichon.
apparently st5 wasn't in Enable at all, DrG recently added it but forgot about the pl
I guess we'll have to wait til DrG gets older lol
how about Dr. G adds spam
If you are going to petition Enable or DrG, please ask if will add me as well :)
I do exist, I do, I do....
lol...
I agree
I guess though the proper spelling is s'mores, oh well :)
chuffed, I already exist, therefore I am hahah
;)
Those lone i's--am I missing obvious words?
is 4/5 and ic 6/21
ic6 weather is that in Jan
Aha, got is4 now.
is4 systems of belief
And I have ic6. TY
I don't think I'll ever reach half! but it's a nice grid, otherwise
yvw Srabs
Love this grid
may I have the states for the 10 (or even a clue)?
can't help you there ruby
so10/84 extends from so6/24
<-- doesn't have the 6 :(

yvw bichon

thnx for 3 double consonant clue smores
*waving* Hi Miss2bit! How are you today and what are your weekend plans? I have FOUR real bunnies in my house and one is under the couch right now.
hello ruby
hello teach
are any of your bunnies green, scrabs?
*waving back*
No green bunnies here--one is dark grey, one is black and tan/orange, one is brown, and one is white with brown splotches.
half, yay
<-- wants a bunny
we are going to grandma's for dinner tonight, miss2bit's plans seem mostly to revolve around making families out of her play kitchen utensils
Just saw the Hawaiian goose after 183 words already found.
congrats ruby
mommy spoon, daddy spoon and sisters
Play kitchens provide endless fun.
ty scrabs, it was my 183rd word!
do5/16 = ? adjective for an igloo. New word. I tried it and it worked.
ty Scrabs
My 5 y.o. g'daughter constantly puts things in my microwave
And turns it on too?
helps with bottom row I please
No, she knows better. But, she does try to microwave things at home, under parents supervision
most like frozen water
Santa brought miss2bit this http://tinyurl.com/aaofb85
Though he got a big discount :-)
My late friend's Mary's kids have a similar kitchen and we have had much fun over the years.
thnx scrabbler
We've certainly had plenty of the ic 6 here
202 and going blurry! see you later
*woof*
I got a call from the Children's Hospital yesterday about assuming medical care for an Amish baby going home. I am looking forward to meeting the family. They typically do not bring their kids to docs.
really Scrabs? Do they get them immunized
No vaccines.
There are numerous Amish people near our village, so we see them in town. They come in on their horse-pulled wagons and buggies. Nice people.
I guess they don't send their children to public schools?
No, "home school" through grade 8. Marriage by late teens, then lots of babies. I remember when Harry Hershberger and wife had baby # 19.
Harry Hersberger
Most common surnames = Miller, Stetler, Yoder
How can a woman have 19 babies. One ruined my body.
That's what they do.
Do they have home births?
Mostly
hello all.
Hey Owl
hi TO

The ro9 is a compound
so 10/84
hmm, thanks bea
ro4/5 + st5/12
The 10 expands on the so6/24
thank you, bzznbea
I was trying all combos off that 6/24
And did you get it, mael?
not yet!
Add the lake monster ending
bingo, thanks
yw. Time for me to do something else for a while. *poof*
found an se7 while looking though
hi all, nice big, fun grid. found over 200 at the flip
Hello, peri. It is a fun grid, you're right.
hi there Haz. how are you?
nice to see you
I'm fine, thanks. It's cold but the little snow we had is mostly melted.
help with mo8 pls I have an mo6 and m09
halfway, NBT and NBS - time for a break
mo8 - plural of mo7/36 - ends in what you don't want to see on your car, or the first part of the one who looks after your teeth.
ty Haz, great clue as always
You're welcome.
ty haz
it is sunny here and supposed to get up to mid 40's. I got up very late since I did not sleep much last night. But I do want to get out for a bit. but Babble comes first :)
I am trying to finish up the 8's first. I have 7/15
babble and a nice cuppa.always first
erod
Sorry! Not a word but almost.
With you on that, Crossy :-)
I have a cup of coffee with peppermint mocha creamer. very good
ever notice that no matter how odd a mistakenly posted word looks, you always try it anyways
There are three words that begin with that, Haz.
yep
I enjoy a hot cup of tea with honey and Creme Brulee creamer....yum.
ty zooz
So true, Crossy..haha
I know, I'm using my netbook and not quite used to the keyboard as the PC.
good morning all ... so glad lickety is on board with this monster today :)
I've decided my nickname should be "Phantom Queen."
I know, cybernan, but it's a friendly monster for the most part.
there are two te8. I have pl of the sport. help with the other pls
hey all! (((Haz!)))
Don't expect a rock song to be created, though.
hi stiddey
stiddy
Hello, stidmama, nice to see you!
Oh, and good morning, all!!!
howdy stidmama
and to you as well mimi
((crossy))
:-) glad to have some quiet time this morning to babble. Up well before the rest of the "crew" and don't want to disturb them with doing laundry and such just yet. *wicked mama grin*
hope all is well with the babble family?
found 225 last night, haz and another 20 this morning, but think I'll be listing soon
wow nan! you're zipping right along!
stalled now, stid
te8/50 is the other. Start with the number after nine, finish with most of Mr Jagger and use a couple of letters to join the two.
ty haz - didn't have that one
Phone.
Demotivator for today---Caption: Incompetence. Text: When you earnestly believe you can compensate for a lack of skill by doubling your efforts, there's no end to what you can't do.
Love your icon, Haz!
ty haz
rofl mini!
I did not get that te8
oops. mimi...
Thanks, stid...glad to give you a laugh.
I'll try again, peri. te plus most of the Loch monster, then most of the rodents represented by Disney's Micky
That probably goes against the unwritten rules of clues but I'll plead lack of practice.
and now it is time for crossy's tidbit of the day!!!!
lol
Author Alex Haley was forced to pay Harold Courlander more than half a million dollars after losing a plagiarism suit over Roots.
as long as it works, Haz.
tyvm Haz. new word for me and a hard word to clue
the letters that join the number and the rolling stone go in the middle of the two, peri
Glad you got there, peri.
was a goodie, haz
Haz, it was a perfectly fine clue for an unusual word
119 left. trying to get to 100 before i list
oooh! I was thinking it was supposed to be a ten... thanks Haz!
but may do it sooner
better than cross letter, spiral letter... LOL
No hoops or snakes were used in the making of this clue....
I used rodents and rock singers in7/32.
PB haz!
Good grief! The perils of giving clues before you've finished the grid.
ty,needed those 2
But thanks for pointing out the vermin.
rofl... ROUS words are rampant in clues some days.
me too peri, but think 105 is the best I can do
hello
hey MLF
ehy stid
well, I am up to 131, and cannot seem to find the N in the second row nor the i in the fourth. Any help out there? *looks pleadingly at Haz*
is4/5
one n is ne 6/24, regarding birds, the other is an ne6/19, sort of regarding big lake monsters
oh gee! didn't know that Was actually a word! LOL thanks Haz... now for Mael's clues...
got them both! so glad to have at least NBT this morning!
:)
Well done - you're zipping along
And with that, I think I shall take myself off and think about how I might restructure one of the classes I am covering this coming week. This past week was a little too chaotic... Have a lovely day/evening (whatever time you are enjoying) and hope to see you-all again soon! *poof*
morning all! I am NBT except for the bottom i - any clues?

106 left, bbl
One shop thought that it would jump on the bandwagon with a display of snow shovels and sleds. It looked a bit redundant by mid-morning.
LOL..i bet.
clues for the 2nd column i's please?
They've probably had them in storage since the last bad winters hoping to get them flogged off.
good morning everyone
ic6/21 and is4/5

supposed to get very cold - also windy so that the wind chill will feel even colder
grid was fairly phantomless for me today...every one I thought I saw is actually there :)
yes. in thir never ceasing attempt to make us rely on them even more than we do, the weathercasters put up a gaphic of hours abouve freezing for the nezt week. some days are zero.
please excure typos. even worse than usual :/
brrrr...
well my phantom is smores!
you are most certainly excused :)
which, if you think it through, is hardly unusaul. but the way they frame it, it sounds worse
I suppose we can't complain, it is January.
I keep trying asset
lol....Leslie but it's there, just stupid Enable doesn't recognize me :(
exactly, this and next are coldest and snowiest months. but they were knid enough to pount out that we have not had that degree of cold for that long in two years.

dan has more snow than i have. he can keep it.

hi i'm new here... how's everybody?
I'm here trying to postpone the housework I must do this weekend....in case the job comes through.
Welcome to Babble prinzezz :)
Welcome, prin!! You'll love this community.
ty smores!
hi mimi
welcome prinz
ty wv!
For those who didn't see it earlier, here's the day's demotivator. Caption: Incompetence. Text: When you earnestly believe you can compensate for a lack of skill by doubling your efforts, there's no end to what you can't do.
:) Mimi, hope you get the job
housework can wait, this is a really nice grid
Tx, dear----I have everything crossed!!
(It's actually difficult to function like that!)
LOL...nice
<----ponders how she types so well with everything crossed
Verrry carefully!
I'm a contortionist.
;)
I like the big grids because I get so many more words...even though it's still about half of what most others get....
it's a fun one today :)
and don't worry about if you get them all or not...have fun :)
<...is desperately in need of fun
;)
Yep---you know I'm an underachiever and only in this for fun!
Oh, I downloaded a bunch of travel guides for Colorado that are amazing. Can forward to you if you like. It's fun to dream......
I like to look at it now since half of me will be spending eternity there some day..........
Just back for a second sweep, and its astonishing how many plurals and past te 6/18's I missed first time round. Hey everybody, and welcome Prinzezz. :-)
morning soodle
morning soodle
sorry Mimi, got stuck in grid
Hello, dear Soodle!! So glad you're here today!
Would love to see the travel guides....also likes to dream
And a double Top o the mornin' to you Ru!
hey soodle, ruru
Will forward them soon, smores.
((ruru))
morning mimi and smores. (ms grid 1-19-13)
Ruru, my attention was drawn to your 'conspiracy theory', and I'm 100% in agreement with you. With hindsight, it's crystal clear!!! Smacking self on forehead, growling 'Gah'.....
ms grid 1-19-13 ??
In da grid, Smores!
yes.. thanks soodle.. it's been obvious to me for a long time.. just needed to confirm with the obituaries
smores is in the grid smores
:)
a lot of people fell for that hoax
I'd love if Dr God could do an IP check.....
What hoax? What did I miss?
I don't think he'd want to get involved soodle
hmmm...I'm lost too
in 7 help anyone?
Sorry guys, for having a non inclusive conversation. Frankly, it's just too distasteful to elaborate. Onwards and upwards!!! :-)
Ruru, think "in place of..."
thank you mimi
In***** of giving you a clue, I'll let you figure it out
I never get to clue....happy, happy!
I'd love to email you about it soodle.. but I don't know how to
ok, well can you appeal to DrG anyway and get smores added to enable
;)
Doh!!! Email addy in my profile, Ru!!
got it.. we can chat about it there.
I said earlier that I think my new nickname should be "Queen of the Phantoms." It's like being possessed!
So is pregnancy....if memory serves.
in twisty grids like this.. phantoms are normal
Bell,Book & Candle standing by for Mimi.....
these m's are tough
Netflix now has "The West Wing"---all 7 seasons---for streaming so am watching a marathon via my Roku box....love it.
love Roku
have all the m's now
OMG, Soodle---you have no idea what you've said! I named one of my cats Pywakit after that!!
lol
Do you have one, smores?
wtg ruru
Yes it's great
I also just found out you can get DirecTV through computer via USB port so no longer have to have line-of-sight for the dish.
i need a zillion s's
8 more S's
really? interesting, might check into that soon...got rid of cable a couple months ago
Do you use Netflix with it? Seems like the only way to really get the most out of it. I cancelled cable a long time ago and don't miss it. But may be getting DirecTV again since they're a much better deal and have much better customer service.
The package I want from DTV is 225 channels with Encore for about $45 a month.
Mimi, has Netflix got Downton Abbey yet? An absolute must-see! I got the box set of the first 2 series last Christmas, and spent an entire weekend wallowing in it!
Yep, Soodle---watched it. Hoping the new ones will come soon. There are so many British detective shows I love and can get that way also.
Smores, check out a series called "Life" and another called "Hack"----EXCEPTIONALLY WONDERFUL.
sorry, cat wanted out, I'm back
I will check it out Mimi
Also got box-set of Homeland. Awesome.
I still miss not being able to see network shows the same night they're shown....hate waiting until Tues. to watch The Bachelor---yep, totally hooked on that show. I keep a sheet of the ones I like right away, the so-so and the ones I say NO to right away. Sad...but true. The thing is, I'm nearly always RIGHT.
lol...
I love Homeland, Soodle! Have only seen the first season, though, from a free Amazon Prime trial. Hoping Netflix will get that one soon.
te8 clue, anybody?
I watch a lot of shows the next day on the network websites
which one dan?
plural of Rafael Nadal's sport
I have a picture of myself at age 25 that I showed to a friend the other day and she thought I looked like Claire Danes....what a compliment! Now, if I'm lucky, I might look like her grandmother!

plural of racquet and ball sport
We're twins, smores....me, too. Love The Good Wife, Nashville and Scandal especially.
Doesn't ABC have the BEST website?
Dan, I'm loving the FB pics of your little girl. What a cutie!
:)
ty soodle :-)
yes, watch syfy and cw too
I just wish I wasn't stuck at my computer to watch them....so limiting for the multi-tasking!
Anybody read Gillian Flynn's book Gone Girl?
When in a certain mood, I watch Highlander episodes on Roku and wistfully dream of someday going to Scotland....oh, also Ireland, Soodle!
No, Soodle---really good?
good time for a break.. s's to go
used to love Highlander...might have to rewatch
Oh Mimi, I dream of a Babble meet up here......
I've read ALL 18 of the the Janet Evanovich Stephanie Plum series and looking forward to getting #19. It's the most fun you can have reading.
lol...enjoy your break ruru....they'll be waiting :)
Hmm, I have an Amazon prime membership and Homeland isn't free.
Smores, I used to tell my ex that if Adrian Paul ever showed up at the door I was GONE. <...memories of hormones...
Gone Girl is a good read. Very twisty-turny, but good.
lol...Mimi
((((Molly)))).
It was for awhile, Molly. I did the trial version for a month but didn't like them nickel-and-diming me on paying for things.
They want you to pay $1.99 to $3.99 for OLD movies....stupid.
I've had my membership for over a year and have been watching for Homeland to switch to free for Prime users. So far, it hasn't.
Amazon offered several free "season one" on trial to get you hooked
Smores, I also have the DVD's in the mail from Netflix and have all seasons of Northern Exposure ordered....LOTS of discs!
*waves to Molly.. ms blank*
That's right, smores---that's how I saw it. Good thing I'm patient because I'm not rich!
lol...Northern Exposure, another show I had forgotten about :)
yes, they got a lot of complaints because people thought the shows that were free with the trial would be free afterwards as well.
Have you checked out all the concerts available, too, smores? Lots are streamed----Earth, Wind and Fire, The Doors, Janis Joplin, The Moody Blues...it goes on and on. The ones not streamed I have in my DVD queue...e.g., The Dixie Chicks, James Taylor, Gordon Lightfoot......hey, who misses cable?!!!
I haven't really checked out many
That's what is great about Netflix....you pay the monthly and get everything they have...no hidden charges. Pay attention, Amazon!
Arrgh. Janis Ian. Jesse. T'would bring tears from a stone. One of my all time faves....
Still gonna get Amazon Prime soon, have a lot that are free and the free shipping is nice
Yep--I'm hoping to do so as well once the money is there....they do have some things not available elsewhere. Just think they could get rid of a $1.99 or $2.99 charge for an old movie....that's petty.
What are we, smores, twin daughters of different mothers?!!!
agree..
lol
Of course, don't know how I could be your twin OLDER sister....but the sentiment is the same!
well, I hate to go but I have to pick up smoresette, she stayed at a friends last night
LOL Mimi
OK---put off the housework long enough....aargh! Hate housework more than having surgery....but, like surgery, necessary.
We're even leaving at the same time----THIS IS GETTING SCARY!!! Hug to Smoresette. {{smores}}
BREAKING NEWS . Babble reunites twins separated at birth

Up tight and out of sight, jmc.

wtg harp.
99 words starting with s in the grid 99 s's in the grid. Take one down and pass it around 98 words starting with s in the grid
is the ro9 a compound word?
Yes it is harp

sorry i was off getting some jack :-)

why the hell isnt the website finding my airplane reservations
ryan just called them. they say I am confirmed , I have a ticket... but the online system says I am not...
Some good news: I found an old bank card today and decided to see if there was a balance on it.. yes! a nice sum of spending cash there available! unexpected surprise but now i can splurge a little
I see that there are two ways for the earth to move in the grid. Se7,36 and er7,32.
nice to have money to spend when you travel
breakfast at the airport is now doable!
haha poor thing. . . maybe the hotel provides continental breakfast
It must be a sizeable sum on the card if you think you can afford food at an airport. :^)
lol wht: mcdonalds most likely... and yes the htoel serves coffee and stale toast im sure :)
now i have stevie wonder in my head
well I found 3 more se7s and 2 more se8 but stuill not your se7.36 wht. Hello all again
it's descriptive, lynn - might have measured 4.5 on the se***** scale
It describes an earthquake
aah yes TY
I could use a clue for the se7,32
'fraid not from me as not listed yet
ok computer found my reservation .. phew
well I m over half way and it is now nearly 2 am here - I'm only here because it is too cold to go into the kitchen and do a hot water bottle!!!
sounds like a spanish coin
se7 rhymes with Michaelangelo's famous chapel
sestine
ah that was the 7/28 my bad
Oh Blow - thats it I am too tired!! Good night folks good luck
*ding ding ding*
se 7/28 sounds like the chapel, 7/32 sounds like the spanish coin
se + cons. + singer **** Turner then plural?
nope that is 28 too
lol - hi jmc - can i pour you a tot?
(and with a little luck, maybe i can make my way south in feb - or you can come up to nj)
i think i need to crash. . .drove to asheville (9 hours because of the snow plows) yesterday and back (9 hours because a wreck required a helicoptor evacuation) today
bye deeha . . .stay warm
you must be pooped
haha the only reason I knew I wasn't in vermont is that there were way too many cars abandoned in snow banks
the snow really hit TN and southern VA where they have no clue. . . .
i used to pull cars out of ditches in vt when i was young - had an old jeep wagoneer
i probably saw close to 100 abandoned cars or tracks onthe median
but the kids must have loved the snow
Driving is snow is hard enough when the other drivers know what they are doing.
when my son had a jeep i bought him some rope and he would pull out ambulances for free but charge everyone else
yes welki there were several snow men in the median so I have to believe people got out of their cars while waiting for the whiteout to stop
here, in calgary, the roads are no where near as well kept as they are back east in ny and nj - and folks simply don't know how to drive to the conditions
Actually, driving in snow isn't so hard. It is stopping in snow that takes getting used to.
that is why i rarely drive in the snow wht. . . i know i am not that good
you have a good car for bad weather, jmc (albeit we sure made a bad choice when we bought them)
i can do it if i have to but if i do not have to I STAY PUT!
who knew saab would go belly up. still ticks me off.
btw it was interesting watching the helicopter land on the freeway and then later an ambulance drove under its spinning propellar. . .
i have a good car that is literally irreplaceable :-((((
egads - interesting, but scary!
ty welki. I finally figured out what coin you were talking about.
well i haven't wht
i know. i had two of them until last week. got rid of one in august and the last one a week ago thursday
most people turned off their motors and walked their dogs waiting on the helicopter
damn i really need a new bumper too!
sounds like a penny + in my opinion
shit, i had two
i looked at the blue book and it is now valued at $1,200. . . .
the spanish coin starts with ce
we have the service manual on cd - literally GAVE away winter tires on rims
ty ty
well bring me the service manual when you come down
please
you have lots of miles on yours, though - right? ours were each less than 40,000 kilometers - and both 2007
i don't really need winter tires here especially with global warming
i'll mail it to you, if you want
I don't see any ce?
mine is 2005 and yes lots of miles but a good little car nevertheless . . . i just need to fix the bumper and a few little things
hahaha - we JUST got the manual yesterday, ordered it before we decided to dump the last one
she meant se gemini
gem - the se7.32 sounds like a spanish coin that starts with ce
ahh thanks
well no se*** letting it go to waste!
hi lynxxx
the only reason we got anything for the convertible (an aero, too) was because it was on a trade and i'm a tenacious negotiator
hi jmc, HNY!
happy new year to you too dear
I have finally finished the s'sssss
i will give my car to the kidney foundation once i have driven it into the ground
wtg wht
sensasional wht!
you have a 2005 9-3 2.0, right?
the kidney foundation was very helpful to hubby so they always get my cars
yes welki i do
As long as the ground you drive it into is not the side of a hill. :^)
Could I please get a clue for ni6/18
the manual matches = yay!
not so far wht. . . i have a surprisingly good driving record considering how fast and far i drive
yay!!!
so when is it you think you may be coming down here welki?
msg your address to me on FB and, if it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to send it to you, it'll be in the mail tomorrow. (canada post is stupid expensive for some things)
ni & ****e the Day!
no no i am not in a rush and mail from canada never seems to reach me. . . its like the bad karma when i try to cross the border
depends on when the baby comes - my daughter's already been to the hospital twice for early labor - she's not due until the end of february. the first one was a preemie, but we're hoping she can hold on at least another week or two
ok - then i'll bring it with me and either hand it over to you (preferable) or mail it to you from jersey (which will make me sad, because it means i didn't see you)
i will come to jersey if need be. . .the saab still runs fine
actually ni6.18 and is5.10 are closely related - japanese US immigrants
Thank you lynxxx
hi kyle
i'm planning on staying a few extra days because i really really really want to meet you - i think we're due for a night of hilarity
Hi jmc!
yes and you can catch the china town bus or the train and come see my fabulous deck!
will stay in a hotel in jersey because i'm an old crone - if you come north, we can bunk together
would like that better - coming to dc - i sure hope it works out
i always look for the japaneses immigrant but half the time i forget how to spell it
well i have a spare bed in DC so you would save money . . . see, there always thinking i am

sorry looking at list wrong
Evening everyone. Not even going to start this one........ where are the little ones?? sigh
hi Snags
hi lynxxx
dr7 pls?
dr 7 - something usually with extreme consequences
Hi all :)
severe - dr7 measures
You will probably have to take Dr7 measures to finish this grid
ty and hello liz and welk. welk are you coming south soon?
next month, hopefullt
lol you are coming from cold & snow to cold and snow!
switched to ipad - can't type on it, obviously
heck, i was in vegas last month and it snowed there too!
Hi all. Selkirk, sorry I was rudely disconnected from Internet last nite
hi doren.
Haha..Selkirk? iPads are weird, Welki!
Well, you could have an Aussie heatwave rather than snow!!!! Though it's not too bad here!
hi dorens
i turned my autocorrect off
Hi owl. My sons Internet doesn't like my computer...think I can do this whole grid on iPad? I have my doubts
no worries, dorens
Haven't turned my iPad autocorrect off - yes, it gets names wrong at times but it also sometimes suggests words I've missed!
doren, i have been looking at ipads and would love to get advice from someone who has one.
Hello to my fellow babblers! How is everybody doing today
Owl..you coming in next month when welkis in nj?
why couldn't you do it on your ipad?
I know I hate doing grids on my smart phone...
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! Way to go!
hi Min
I love my iPad - especially when i travel. I have internet access and books! Before iPad I'd carry at least 4 large books,w hen I travelled!
hi min
Hi Min :)
do i need to have a 4G?
yay! got the 10 :D
do i need to have 32G
I have one owl, but don't utilize it enough to give advice. 1. It takes much more time . 2. Don't know how yo
I don't have 3G or 4G - If I want internet, when I travel, we sort it then. We have wifi and ethernet in the house.
If I had an accent, I would be surprised by its instantaneousness... heh heh
How to get lickety on? Screen just not that big. I still don't even know how I would enter words int o bulk anyway.
I also use it first thing in the morning, if I wake up early to catch up with friends in the UK, without getting out of bed!
isn't the os just like your mac?
I don't have wifi..would be such a silly expense, I think
Haven't discovered how to use bulk add in lickety on iPad - it's to do with the copy and paste, which is more fiddly on iPad.
Yes, is is similar, but no keyboard.. Need to learn the tricks soeday
We use our computers a lot and it's not too expensive to have wifi here.
Exactly lizlin. I do need to ask someone someday.
i saw them advertised on qvc today and they had a keyboard. i am confused.
it's easy to copt into lickety- just open another window. ( on trips, i bring a bluetooth keyboard)
Key pad comes up easily - just touch the add word space
No, I have wifi for my computer, but 4g on the iPad would be expensive...that's what I meant
We don't usually have a keyboard when we travel and I use my main computer for bulk add in lickety
Yes - that's why I don't have it on my iPad
Can you have lickety open same time as grid?
i used to have an internet provider for the ipad. like dorens said, it's expensive. now it's either wifi or i tether it to myniphone
My computer won't work here this weekend..so annoying
Yes - just have to swap between tabs
i went to the apple store before christmas and they wre mobbed.
not side by side, but you can toggle between them
Apple store here is always busy - usually loads of kids, even during term time.
Much too complicated for me... So, didn't finish tomorrow and I guess I won't tonight either
Still have to find out how to selectively copy on iPad to use lickety effectively on it
when qvc has them the prices are not any less but they include accessories
doren can you do a paper list?
That was how I did it until someone (Lynxxx perhaps) explained about bulk add!
Igot the ip ad 2 when they came out with the new one..took off 100$
liz, press down on top of list until you see the blue dots come up with the word copy - manipulate the bi
Mine's also an ipad 2
Oh lord owl, not with a grid this size ...too much work at this point
Trying it now welki :)
boundaries until theblistbis highlighted - copy and paste
oh, i did not know how much you had left to do
sheesh i can copy and paste, but not type!
hey all, here for just a few, saw folks I don't get to see too often! *scatters choclits willy-nilly*
hi stid
i would not buy an ip i would rely on wifi, it's everywhere
hello stiddy
Hello stidmama! How are you doing today? Welcome to grid
Brilliant - finished this grid but tried it with what I had before I moved to computer - thanks I'll try that again tomorrow morning!
and os 8 pls?

Stiddy, your FB posts have been so uplifting so very happy you are taking such ownership and doing so well!!
thanks Min -- down to 149, probably won't finish. About to take kiddo to his friend's house.
surgical holes
os 8 - medical bag for collecting fecal waste - usually preceded by colos
glad you're enjoying them, jilly!
ty
Plural of course
I really am enjoying myself immensely. MOST of the time. LO
LOL that is...
Hey stud..and Welki, I see how yo copy, but not to paste
Just hold finger on bulk add and the word paste appears
Or perhaps it was in the space for bulk add
doren, do a "long tap" (put your finger down where you want to paste) until the "paste" selection pops up
or what liz said. ;-)
Hi stid
I would think that having a long assignment would be nicer than a few days.
dr 7?
Or what stid said!!! Hi stid :)
open up lickety's, scroll tomthe bulk add box. press your finger until the word paste appears. voila
dr 7 - extreme actions with dr consequences
Welki, I Figured out how to copy, but not to paste
stidmama,I gave up on grid with 208 words.Story in profile
tyvm Liz
it is a LOT better, though I am putting in more actual hours (and therefore tired) I actually know the children so I can teach more effectively.
doren: have not seen you for a while. i have a real date to see tony * tona
if you haven't figured it out by next month, i'll show you :)
Sounds like the best type of teaching stid
tony & tina's wedding. i am excited.
Much more rewarding
I'm trying to get under 100, 5 left to go. Then I need to think about bed
:-) yep. even starting to assign grades to the kiddos! *wicked teacher look* THAT made them sit up and pay attention!
And longer term consequences, that you know you can fulfil!
:-) you got it, liz!
Yeah but I'm sure your kiddies are delightful!
<---seeing end of grid...22 left *smiles*
