My 95yo mum was diagnosed with paget's disease a few weeks ago and has had to undergo surgery. If they had decided to do radiotherapy I wouldn't have been coming at all but she has bounced back surprisingly well. One day rose...

95 !!! the poor soul...to have to go through that at her age!!!
May I please have a clue for re6-24 the 2nd? Thanks
We were all worried that she wouldn't cope with it, and relieved that there is no radiotherapy to follow. but she has been amazing.

morning all
hi Sprite
hi lyn :) xxx
looks like a rather unfriendly grid today
first 100 are OK , the rest are giving me grief
ah, then it must be shortness of sleep here. I am having trouble with only 23 in.
you could/should sneak back to bed if you have nothing to do today?
I might do that. Take an afternoon nap with terra maybe :)
he would love that - I know Stew does.
yes he does. When I lie down on the couch, he jumps right up and settles, of all places, on the very top of me.
nice and warm, if not very comfortable, grin
our previous dog used to do that to - warm, soft and occasional pats - it's a dogs life
:) Wouldn't mind being Terra. Or Stew. But some dogs really have a dog's life, alas.
Cinzano - my fav drink in my 20s
awww :D
mmmm maybe I should buy a bottle - lovely w. ice for Summer
and find out if you still like it as much
I think I found a deer.
oh... no, not a deer. Another hooved animal.
pfft - I ate pipi the other night when Ken made paella
:D
hi all. hope you are all well. xxx
hi medusa, all well here, Hope same for you?
hi Medusa - nice and warm down here. Hope you are too
great thanks. just got my net put on at home!
aw lovely!
Yay!
feels good i can tell ya. so much to catch up on though!
I can imagine. But great you finally have it.
it is. can do it all as and when in the comfort of my own home without worrying if the bloody dongle will let me!
very nice
anyway how is the grid today?
hows the gird today?
oops! lol
looked rather unfriendly at first, today, to me anyway. But am making headway now. Not many series.
good fun actually
cool. :)
Time of existence is a frequent affix
hello BabbleRabble, I am happy to see you.
hi BabRab
hi babblerabble
Going on a phantom picnic, anyonr care to join me?
hi Chrissie, I am game. I'll bring chicken legs and fresh mango and strawberries.
Sounds delicious, I'll provide cakes with phantom icing
Good morning :)
I will not bring all my phantom -ic words though
morning Jommie
Hi Jommie
hi jommie
A phantom picnic sounds good :).
But a real picnic is even better ;).
not today here, though. It's raining hard.
Anything to escape the winter blues. Let's find a suuny spot, green grass and close to a babbling brook
Gale force winds here
It's raining here as well (I'm also from the Netherlands).
am joining you in that sunny spot
It's also possible to picnic indoors ;).
welcome, landgenoot :)
its quite sunny here today. am hoping it wont be too cold! lol
its quite sunny here today. am hoping it wont be too cold! lol
hiccup time
and fireflies in the meantime
Red boxes of doom, will come back later, ttfn
bye Chrissie
Congratulations sprite :)
Thanks, fellow landgenoot :).
101 words to go...
enjoy the game :)
bye all, hope to see you all tomorrow. *hugs*
Thanks, you too :).
It's not an easy grid today...
Hello all :)
Hi smores :)
Hi Jommie, I see sprite was just on here
Yes, we talked to each other for a while :).
It's a difficult grid today, isn't it?
So far I found 42 words. And you?
Just starting now
Good luck :).
must get coffee
Coffee... that's an excellent idea!
G'Day - that should cover Holland and America - Hi smores and jommie - when you get back from making coffee :)
G'day liz :).
Hi Jommie - I haven't met you before, I think but I read in the chog that you were Dutch.
My coffee tastes great, by the way. It helps me to focus on today's grid :).
Love coffee but not at nearly 10 pm!!!!
Yes, I'm Dutch :). And this is only the 3rd day of my membership, so I don't think we've met before either ;).
Lol, it's only 1:00 P.M. in the Netherlands.
We were without power here for a couple of days because of the flooding. I've only been playing since the end of last August but love it!
I hope the flooding didn't do damage to your house!
No our house is fine thanks. But lots of the areas we love are still under water. We just lost power - which I guess was inconvenient and not pleasant but nothing more! Internet connections still a bit unstable!
Yeah, it's very addictive! I discovered this website only a few days ago. But I've been playing boggle online and offline for quite a while now ;).
My hubby's ex-wife introduced me!
Sometimes I'm online at the same time as her and my step-son's girlfriend. I think it's a bit confusing for some!!!
Glad to read that your house is fine. We've heard about the flooding (and the fires) in the news, but they never tell you what happens afterwards.
People just try to salvage what they can and get their homes / towns working again! Thankfully, I've never been in that situation. Strange country! I've only lived here 4 years!
Lol, I can imagine the confusion :). Do you also compare each others rankings?
No - I don't! Don't know if they do!
Yeah, in an emergency situation, you've got to make the best of it. Where did you live before?
Everyone has their own way of playing! I aim for at least 50% before going to the list and then go to a dictionary, when I'm really stuck.
I lived in London before. My hubby's Australian (actually, so am I, as of last Saturday night!)
I also try to find as many words as possible before going to a dictionary. But some words are so strange and unusual... :). Yesterday, I found a word that sounded like the sound you make when you sneeze, lol.
Congratulations!
Yes, babble is full of unusual words and sometimes really odd letter combinations.
ty :)
And there's also a babble chat language!
Yeah, I'm trying to figure it out, but some words / terms are still a mystery to me :).
I'm not sure that I understand everything yet - but people are very friendly and will always answer questions!
Yes, and they are always willing to give hints as well :).
There really should be a list explaining all the terms used in chat. There used to be good information on Angelsong's page, but the link doesn't work anymore.
Hi Molly :)
Hi Molly :).
Hi Liz
A list explaining all the terms would make things a lot easier :)
Too bad that Angelsong's link doesn't work anyomre.
anymore
Some of the "words" used here I find pretty silly. Like "Babblet" (a word you usually only see in Babble grids) and "Poof" said when someone leaves chat.
Do you also play other forms of boggle?
Lol, 'poof' sounds like a disappearing ghost in a cartoon or something ;).
No, Jommie, I don't. I used to play scrabble a lot but hardly ever now!
I know some people here play words with friends on Facebook but I really don't want to start with facebook games.
Hello again, back with coffee
Hi smores - good morning :)
And you, Molly? I play ruzzle and wordfeud on my smartphone and I also play wordsplay on the internet.
Welcome back, smores!
Good eveing Liz :)
Hi again Jommie
This is the only word game I play on the computer. I barely have time for this one.
Hello Molly :)
I don't play facebook games either. I get a lot of invitations, though :). But babble is much more fun!
Everything okay with you Liz?
Molly, I know what you mean. There is always so much to do!
We're doing fine, thanks, Smores. Internet's still a bit iffy. Can only get to certain websites - mostly can't get to the news ones! Much of the water here's drying up now but beaches are totally eroded and still closed and many local places still flooded!
Yeah! It has finally stopped raining!!
So sad about the beaches, glad you are okay though :)
Good thing is that they're kind of used to these extreme conditions and tides and I know that within a few weeks, they'll have restored the beaches.
Thanks :)
That's good, I know you love your walks on the beach :)
I guess that they have to get beaches back pretty quickly - so much of the tourism here is dependent upon them.
Bad rains where you are also Jommie?
Well, not as bad as where Liz lives :).
Thank goodness for that. Holland is so flat! It would be devastated by the cyclones here!
Any clues for the de 7 / 36 pls?
That's good, we had some fairly heavy storms here last night, some areas close to me are without power.
sorry liz, don't have it
just found 2 ad7's though
de7/36 - take coloured material from the walls?
Yes, our 'extreme weather conditions' are nothing in comparison to your cyclones.
Glad you escaped, smores. Hope there wasn't too much damage.
ty Haz! Weird word!
ty Haz and good morning :)
Good morning, afternoon all. And you're welcome.
No, not much, a few trees down in the area. Nothing major.
Wow Haz! Just read what you wrote in your profile - attracted by your ic4!!!!
Glad to hear that there wasn't too much damage, smores!
Me too!
Bear it in mind, lizlin. I hope I'm wrong.
Good afternoon Haz!
I hope so too! I'm trusting in some ways but also try not to give out too much personal info.
Everyone here seems so nice - it is sad to think that some or one can't be trusted!
glad you're ok, smores -- very scary here in TN -- tornado sirens woke me at 3:00am -- i'm very lucky -- some areas of the state had winds up to 100mph -- no power outage or damage at my house -- just lots and lots of rain -- whew!
Haz, I think you are spot on in your comments. People here are very nice, but I find many of them WAY too trusting.
You can never be too careful when it comes to privacy.
Stay safe Une.
Sounds like what we had here Une - horrible. Glad you're OK :)
I'm just very suspicious after recent events.
Wow Uneaixoise, that sounds scary indeed! Glad you're ok!
I've become more so!
And well you should be Haz. We all should be.
Just finished reading your profile Haz...
We've experienced some storms last night, but I'm glad there aren't any tornados in the Netherlands.
my one dog who's terrified of storms (in icon) is in a total stupor from her doggie sedative :-)
Beautiful dog - poor thing :(
aww..
Poor dog :(.
BRB
i try not to give her anything (she's 14) unless she's really freaking out and trembling badly -- which she was last nite!
Our dog (when I was a kid) was like that when there were fireworks! Not the babble kind - lol
:=)
Our cats are also terrified of fireworks.
And vacuum cleaners *lol*
omg don't get me started on vacuum cleaners! LOL
:)
welcome to babble, jommie :-)
ty Une :)
adding my welcome, too, Jommie - wonderful Wednesday to you all, Babblers!
back in a bit -- byeeee
I always make sure that I know where the cats are when I'm vacuuming the living room. Scared cats can do funny things :).
Bye une :)
(hey aloy!)
Thanks Aloyisius!
love your dog, Une...
a Husky was at our front door the other day, staring through the glass and wagging his tail.. I let him in - fortunately he was wearing an id tag - so I called the owner who came rushing over; the dog had escaped and they were looking all over for "Calamity"
Lol, Calamity. That's a promising name for a dog :).
Glad you looked after "Calamity" and his owner was happy to find him.
I know.. they adopted it - it was up for adoption because it continually ran off!
previous owner said it went through the electric fence even..
Wow, that is one doggy eager to explore the world :).
We put a dog in our yard yesterday that was running around the street. I called the owner (dog also wearing an ID tag) and she said it belonged to her estranged husband. But the dog got out under our back gate - tiny space - it really msut've forced itself and I guess it made its way home. Apparently it lives somewhere on our street. But i haven't seen it roaming about!
Our cats are way to scared to go outside. I let them into the garden every now and then, but when they hear an unusual sound, they come rushing back inside again :).
the neighbor lives across the road from us, and the road is a very dangerous one - so they were really worried.
Glad Calamity is safe and I think Bella is too!
I can imagine that they were very worried, with a dangerous road so nearby. When we were living in our previous house, there was a dog wandering around. So I called the animal protection service and it turned out that the owner was neglecting the dog and that it ran off whenever it could. So sad...
down to 29 and need a refill.. anyone want an onion bagel while I'm up? brb ... well, Jommie, I don't think they neglect Calamity, but the dog didn't want to go home! It balked with they put him on a leash and had to be dragged off to the car.. sigh
Dogs roaming can have pretty serious consequences. We had a recent case of three Siberian huskies getting loose, worrying sheep etc. Result was two dogs shot dead by the farmer, one injured but later put down and two dead sheep plus the possibility of other sheep aborting. Pretty tragic all round.
40 left for tomorrow and it's time to stop. Thanks for the chat. Enjoy your days - I miss onion bagels, so I'd love one! Back tomorrow :)
An onion bagel sounds good! Would you like to have a cup of coffee in return? :) I hope that the owners can calm Calamity down, so he won't escape every time. Haz: that sounds really tragic indeed!
Bye lizlin, have a nice day!
I've got 65 to go, so I'm halfway there :).
Haz: Julian Clary http://tinyurl.com/a8m2tfl
Thanks, BabbleRabble.
Hi BabbleRabble
.. back with hot onion bagels.. hi BabbleRabble and Haz!
Hello, Aloy.
Pax vobiscum, Aloy
Hello, Jommie
(-: ty, same to you BabbleRabble
Jobs today include killing fire ants and digging up cabbage palms that have invaded the grove.. so I'm gearing up for being destructive!
not too "pax" ful, lol
Well, the 'pax' can return afterwards :).
fire ants are fierce.
Lunch time for me. Enjoy the grid, bye for now!
and I have a lot of blisters because of them!
bye, Haz.. nice to see you
Bye Haz! Enjoy your lunch!
lots of snow for you, BabbleRabble?
I hope you get rid of the fire ants very soon, Aloy!
No, little snow.
no getting rid of them, Jommie... they just move their mounds.. but at least I can try to clear them from our yard so that I can weed and plant without getting attacked
nothing like being swarmed and stung by those boogers.. ugh
I tried a firecracker once .... the ants that survived were not pleased.
do you enjoy winter activities like skating and skiing and snowmobiling, BR?.... lol, I'm imagining blowing up a fire ant mound!
My major winter activity is changing my mind.
morning all.
Hello, peri.
Aloy, I made a mixed mushroom soup the other day. very good
ah so.. at least that is not hibernating! Howdy peri, good to see you.. mushroom soup sounds wonderful.. with portobellas?
with dried porcini, button, portobello and a small amt of of various mushroom that came in a pack.
Wow, blowing up an ant mound must be very spectacular :).
I can send you the recipe if you would like it
Good morning peri
I a gearing up for a morning walk. going up to the 60's today. Have not been doing much exercise lately :(
wow.. ok, or is there a web link?
or.. you could put it on FB?
I got it from a magazine but I am sure there are similar recipes on line. let me know what you want like me to do. I am not sure if I still have your e-mail.
am shy about posting my email
not sure how to put it on FB. I do have a scanner tho.
mine is in the regular place here

I still say perp should be a word. They use it on all the cop shows. ;-)
lol...and I still try it every time :)
me, too - just in case they have suddenly added it to the dictionary
:)
still missing one c from the bttom, I have 2 cr5's
nvr mind...duh
sorry, I stepped away for a min. glad I could help. ;-)
Hi hokie carla!
Hi smores!

Hi car :)
Hi!
hmm....not sure what happened...keyboard being weird
cop shows are subordinate to Enable.... all hail the power of Enable.
:)
Hi BR
Hi BR!
Hello.
How did your mom checkup go car?
She is fine. Healing well, but still has more to go.
Hello, car. Hope you escape the flu.
Yes, I knew she still had a ways to go, glad she is doing well.
Well, Zack has it now. NOt the flu though...more the sore throat, cough and fever thing.
My mother spent two days in the hospital as a precaution ... she is way better now.
Oh! I am so glad to hear that BR!
Glad to hear it BR. Flu is very nasty this year.
Stats please for the right column E?
eg 4/7
eg 4/7! I can't believe I missed that. TY BR!
:)
good morning everyone
I clued this one before but what the hey? de6/39 -- phonetically pointing at the kitchen fixture used to wash dishes.
Hey mael
hello mael!
LOL! TY again BR!
I just got some horrible news this morning, our friend's father was shot and killed on monday night. I don't even know how to process it.
Oh no! Mael! I am so sorry to hear that.
Wow, Mael so sorry
he had three kids, a grandkid on the way, had worked his ass off for twenty years in his convenience store, and someon tried to rob the place and shot him. It doesn't even make sense
Thanks BR...took me a minute, but I got it :)
That's terrible news, mael! Sorry to hear that!
Did they catch the person?
yeah, last night
he had security cameras up
Mael...are you in the Boston area? I heard something very similar to this on the news this morning.
yeah, we are, and his son and daughter, our friends, live here too. But our friend's dad was in Virginia.
Oh how strange. I am so sorry for you and your friends. {{hugs}}
Oh so this happened in VA?
Good morning, everyone.
yeah, near Richmond
Hello trentsnana
That is so sad, mael. If it weren't for greed, this world would be perfect.
thanks, car. I just don't have the words to tell them anything. Losing parents to illness or accident I understand, it happened to me, but gun violence?
So sorry, rough enough losing a parent
Senseless deaths are never easy to process.
There really aren't words mael, just be there for them is all you can do.
Not the it helps much at this point and time, but at least they caught the person.
*that
yeah, we'll do our best to be there for them. And that it a comfort, catching the perp at least brings a little more closure
Yes, later that will mean alot.
I had a niece who was robbed and severly beaten during a robbery. They finally caught the person. However it took 3 weeks and that time was nerve racking. Just knowing he was still out there.
and time helps everything. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring down the chat like this, it's just that we just found out. I'm sorry smores, that's horrible! Is she better now?
Yes, mael, thank you. This was several years ago.
np mael, It helps to share
I'm glad to hear that she's okay, and I really hope whoever did that to her is still rotting in jail
Yes, yes they are. Armed robbery and attempted murder conviction. Showed no remorse so the judge gave him the max. 30year
and good riddance to bad rubbish.
I on't understand why a person would show no remorse. Isn't it in their self interest. Must be a sociopath
She is fine now, tok a long time though to heal emotionally.
I can only imagine
Agree bichon, but glad he didn't
I will keep your friends in prayer mael..they have a long road ahead
thank you, smores
sorry to change the subject. Is anyone else finding this grid inscrutable?
I've had to peek at the list way earlier than usual
finding words is like pulling teeth!
yes. yes i is.

Life is a four letter word.
Never done that in my life.
Especially when your at home with a chest infection!
Lot of sickness going around. Hope you are better soon.
Thanks. At least it means i can spend more time on the grid.

Hello, Une ..... how is the old bowser doing today?
Ii'm a pale 62!
hey BR -- she's recovering from taking a doggie sedative
we had tornado sirens beginning at 3:00am!
guernsey LOL
hey guys
hey, rows :-)
Hi rows
how is everyone? this feels like a slow puzzle
The last 40 are the worst
haha i have 70 left
hello g'morning hello hello
howdy, hursh!
Hello hurshy
say, hursh, nobody responsed to my question: Who is the debonaire gentleman in the grid who sang Some Enchanted Evening in the movie South Pacific?
*responded
err... ummmm....
*debonnaire
i think you were right the first time, one n debonaire
Pinza
yes!! Ezio Pinza!
i have seen that movie... once... a long time ago...
and it's debonair
ding ding ding for erda!
hursh, i'm in a coma after being awakened at 3:00 by tornado sirens :-)
ah yes that looks better
Thank you hurshy!
i like the word debonair
it's not used often enough
What do you do when you hear them une?
thought it was so cool that his first name AND last name are in the grid!
ah well at least you're not dead from a tornado!
then again, i guess there aren't so many men who qualify to be described that way anymore...
i think george clooney is debonair
SpellZone says debonnaire is also accepted :-)
i agree, hursh
and Jeremy Irons . . .
Yes!!! on Clooney
You are not that close to water, Une. Must be good sirens to lure sailors from a distance.
maybe rupert everett
close to water? I didn't say it was a hurricane . . . a tornado! LOL
yes, hursh!!!
you talked of sirens too
i think brabble is making a joke referencing the sirens of myth, the women who sing and lure sailors...
TN has tornadoes every spring and fall . . . fortunately they rarely touch down in Nashville
oh, right, sorry, BR -- i'm in a total stupor
i'm real jittery at the mo
Did you sniff the same stuff your dog did?
hmm i wouldn't mind a typhoon right about now
that would mean i wouldn't have to work tomorrow and could start my holiday early
help with the z's?
no, no doggie downers for me -- it's just that i sleep so very little that cutting it down to 2 hours is rough! LOL
metalic element
zi4 metal
like a metalic element
well the 6 is weirdish but i did ought to have got the 4
since i do take it frequently
de 6/39 --- pointing at the fixture dishes are washed in ... sort of
lol thanks
hello everyone
yeah i'm not getting the z6 :/
Hello, Annie
hey, annie!
you just have to add an adjectival ending, rows. it's weird.
Hi BR!
HA! That was funny for the de 6
Z6 remove the z4
oh strange
i got it
Hi Une, Hows the doggies? I just love the calendar
yeah, i'm not quite sure how one can actually de6
great clue, BR!
Yes, great clue
hey, Annie -- earlier in the chog I mentioned that Shelby (in icon) had to take a doggie sedative when the tornado sirens went off at 3:00am and STAYED blaring
We just had another power failure, power back on but the elevators are out and I don't feel like walking down 24 floors.
OMG, annie -- so sorry!!
Une, Ugh nasty sound but lifesaving when needed
kinda creeps me out....anyone read the Passage or The Twelve? lots of power outages and icky stuff
Hi All
I lucked out -- no power outage, no trees down . . .
howdy, hego :-)
Saw BR's last clue. Very good.
hi hego
no power outage here... just pollution
Hi Une
20 miles east of Nashville they had 100 mph winds
and Annie
I have to give my peke a doggie sedative...she is a freakish mess with fireworks, thunder etc. vet told me to use benedryl. cheaper and the same thing
I was supposed to visit a friend today who is not doing so great..I dunno...going to see if the elevators are up and running
same with Shelby -- thunder, lightning, fireworks, vacuum cleaners . . . :-)
are they still having a problem Annie?
actually i didn't get BR's clue, maybe i'm just too tired :/
Think of Tattoo from Fantasy Island. Maybe that will help. What he said when the guests arrived
wurdy, i was thinking the same thing! LOL
man, that actually is something to think about... if the elevators in my building stopped working i'd be kinda screwed as far as going out and coming back
lol great minds
that would suck
For z6, use a prefix that means to remove.
also i don't know what tattoo from fantasy island means
:/
For de6, i mean
de + the metallic element
oh lol
thanks
light bulb moment! : )
if you can be dainty, why is daint not a word?
back in a bit *poof*
dainty: having daint
rows, you have a lot of sill
thank you!
Definition of DAINT obs : dainty
although i don't have a lot of actual sills... not so many windows
sure, but that's not the same thing :)
:P

well shit
babble is using the wrong dictionary apparently
i mean, what's with all these crazy words like z6 but then daint isn't allowed!
lol
welcome to our world.
Iwow, you enjoy research, babble rabble.
i guess it's for our entertainment and i should just accept it as that :D
Well, you know, I am obtuse.
haha aww BR
and apparently i'm a bunch of fish eggs
uh uh BR
Clue for co7 please?
for some reason i keep wanting tripe to be in the puzzle... i think i just like tripe and it's a funny word
gee, what am i supposed to do with this lower P
co7 - the metallic part of the currency of a place is its co7
ty hush!!
you're never getting over that, br? :)

hi, all. I posted in the chog a few days ago that my oldest brother is in the ICU. He is still therer, but they took him off the ventilator yesterday and gave him an oxygen mask instead. He is breathing on his own with minimal support from the oxygen; he is awake and able to talk a little. We are counting this as a miracle. He was very close to death last week.
that's good angel... how old is he
I am very glad to hear that, angel
wonderful news Angel, and good morning everyone
aha got the other ta7!
hurshy, he is six weeks shy of being eleven months older than I am. He just turned 58.
what was wrong with him? try to get him out of the ICU as soon as possible, that's a bad place for people, they get real depressed and whatnot.
re --- put another coat of latex on the wall.
yes well i have THAT one :)
io 6/33 -- charge a particle; pt
he had a "minor" heart attack, and stopped breathing...but his heart never stopped

Good Morning Everyone. How are you all today?
howdy nef..thought i killed the chog
omg! crossy the invisible man!!

prep
DRAT! Wrong box again! (off to PB) :-(
hey, crossy! They've got bacon here; and choclit. Come on in!
hello hello
yay, nef and crossy are here
afternoon babblers!
hi ruby
Hi EvaN! How are you (haven't seen you for a while)
I have NaN+ hours left?
oops... there we go,,, 12 + hours
doing well. been quite busy with work. i stop by now and then. :)
that's right gemina
nice to see you again.
and you as well. :)
this was a stupid, wasted day. The most productive thing I did was get 50 words in here.....
hiya eva
ARGH! Can't chat in word box or enter words in chog; too many rules......
what's wrong, ruby?
*Pats Ruby on the head and fixes her a drink*
I thought argh was spelled with 2 a's and 2 h's but what do I know
is that another rule, ruby? ;-)
the technician was here again, working on the fridge. It may be a lost cause, have already spent close to $300 on it
I can't spell either today it seems
hahah, nef
{{molly}}
oh, my, ruby. It might be easier to buy a new one at that price!
nothing like throwing good money after bad. Besides what I've spent on the repairman, I've had to buy a little fridge for the pantry and a small freezer for the garage.
what do they say, "In for a penny, in for a pound"
(((ruby))) you don't need that headache, do you?
with 300 already into it,you may as well cough up another 200..if that will get it done
<---Gets very frustrated with temperamental appliances
any more than that then kiss the 300 goodbye and scrap the thing
it's all very annoying and GE no longer does biz in France, so it's impossible to get the parts
it has started making a (new) funny noise but if I give it a smack, the noise stops
to me, that's all the more reason to get a new one. Too many headaches
Sounds like a loose thingy
how do you say that in French, Molly?
Greetings, Babblers!
I agree with Nef. I wouldn't put any more money into it either.
lol@ loose thingy
todays lunch: homemade "buffalo chicken salad" on a potato roll and a salad consisting of "romaine, water chestnuts, kidney beans, pickled beats, carrots, and blue cheese dressing and a cherry coke zero. :)

hello
*covers eyes* Please contain your loose thingy.
howdy sadie
oh, and craisins too. :)
hello sadie
watch out for loose thingies!
hiya crosshair
You lost me at "pickled beets" Eva.
i never used to be a fan, molly... but ive found i like tossing a few on my salad for a little sweetness
I need to either chat or work the puzzle. I just can't multitask well today
MMM! Beets!
(it sounds yummy, EvaN)
<-- loves beets but not with all the other stuff
My regular old salad lays untouched on my desk, as people keep feeling the need to meander up to my desk and discuss the minutiae of their life. *Sigh*
my homemade buffalo chicken salad helps curb my cravings for wings without being TOO indulgent. :)
because of my rough day I made my pecan/butter/brown sugar and sea salt treat
its times like that, molly, that i appreciate having a door. people reevaluate what they came to discuss with you when they are confronted with the need to knock.
buffalo chicken salad.... nom nom nom. recipe link please
it takes the sting out!
sounds lovely, ruby!
it's a delicious killer, eva!
oh wait i scrolled down
hello LeslieAnn
No, that is not the recipe for buffalo chicken salad.
EvaN, I saw your pictures! You look gorgeous (both before and after) Very nice! :-)
thankyou nef. :) ::blushes::
here is the buffalo chicken salad recipe -- i follow it loosely... measurements are usually eyeballed: http://fosterskitchen.blogs\npot.com/2011/11/pulled-buffalo-chicken\n.html
And there goes the chat width. Tiny url please.
sorry. i tried to tiny it, but the site was dragging...
oooh this looks good eva
ive added the link to my profile, in the meantime.
Long urls also contain injected \n's that make them hard to copy and paste
I'm on WW now too. I put 15 pounds on last Feb. when DH had back surgery twice (once emergently) and through his rehab. Since both of us needed surgery (mine was just on my hand; his was another back surgery) I decided that that was enough so I was proactive first.
eh i know to look for the /n now
afraid to post-n-run, but its meeting time for me. :)
good on ya, nef
nef, don't try my pecans however yummy!
congrats on the choice, nef! i managed to shed 70 pounds and now im maintaining. my mom has lost 50 pounds and is still going!

I'm just hoping to make it to half way today. I have a million things to do today (including teach a class tonight) and I just sit here babbling.
Hi Nef, evening all! I always do my very best Babbing when I'm supposed to be doing something else!!
I think that that's my problem too, Focal. :-)
*!* ta da *!* -- there are some that you just have to monkey! (unless, like some, you have a steel trap for a memory)
anyone want clues before I leave?
such encouraging words, cyber! WTG, cybernan!!! YAY!!!
Nice one Nan! HAGD
occipian
Yes, cyber. I have 2 of the 3 bottom c's; is the 3rd one also cr?

Hi Bichon, Hi Poodletoes
hi Focal
Hello all...
Hi Jill
3 words to go. all re's
I have 2 re's if it's any help - you want the stats on them?
Hi Jilly. How are you today?
Over the hump...worked today..
thanks focal, I have them re 7 32 and re 5 12
re5,12 is to affix once more.
ty focal!
I'd wandered off to gmail to chat with my daughter for a few minutes there. Does life seem a bit easier now that you know you have to cut down a bit?
LOL...it must!
have you cut back yet?
I am in the process...
You will feel much better once you do cut back, Jilly. Been there, done that. If you're still in the process of cutting back; it may feel the opposite though.
Fireworks!!
YAY, poodletoes!!!! WTG!!!
WooT WooT WooT poodletoes!
Nice one Poodletoes! Can you clue me that re7 please?

I just found it, Focal. re 7/36 re + *** and tonic + latin pl

Thanks folks, got lots out of that one ask!!!
any other clues needed?
who ever hear od De coloring anyway? (and thanks for that clue!)
Okay, I'll be off to do something!
Thanks again Poodle, go and do some stuff!
bye poodle!
<---nbt/nbs...finally
wtg, Jilly. I was only going to go half way today; I have 50 words left (maybe I should just finsih the grid instead of doing other things now)
I think you should...
okay. :-) but darn! I really need to vacuum too......
Want versus need?
to vacuum, I'd need to pick up the papers I've been sorting on the floor; to pick them up I shouldcontinue filing them; to file them I'll also need to punch holes in the ones that belong in binders; etc.
that sounds like a slippery slope nef, better stay here
these are all needs (unfortunately)
it's very slippery, LA. That's why I'm staying here on Babble! :-D
And I "should" review my notes for ChildBirth Ed tonight (I'm teaching it)
but I won't do that either til I'm done.
Nef, I swear, you are the busiest woman I know.
not really, Molly. I should have filed stuff as it came in these past 2 months and I didn't. SO I made my own work harder.
LOL...I am in that situation on a regular basis...but that is why I am cutting back on things...can't spend all my time running at the edge of deadllines!
Sometimes it seems that deadlines are what keeps me moving! :-D
Ah hello all. Speaking of living on the edge, I worked at home all morning and then took a "break" to sort through my downstairs neighbor's jewelry (she passed away on Saturday and her son asked me to sift through the chaff to find the wheat - not all that much wheat!) when my phone rang at 4:45. "Where are you?" I had spaced out that I had a 4:30 meeting on the other side of town - during rush hour - in the rain!!!
I'm going to get to half way and then finish a few things...
oh, Mich! Did you miss the meeting?
Yipes mich!! How dreadful...(admits to occasional missed meetings myself-but no rush hour here)
I flew there and managed to "only" be an hour late. It was a three hour meeting so all was forgiven.
oh, wow! I'm glad you made it; but that's an awful feeling
totally, and of course I flew out of the house "as is" in my comfy unflattering home clothes
LOL! Hopefully not your housecoat and jammies!
No, not that bad. On principle I don't walk around in housecoats & jammies, but a pretty ugly skirt and none to clean sweater.
I'm a lazy butt in the AM. I stay in my robe and jammies til about 9 or 10 these days (usually up by 7 or 8 at the latest though
Friday I have to actually BE at work by 6:30 though to run the New OB Clinic all day. Not really looking forward to it right now; but once I get there it will be okay.
Well, I am awake by 6 or 7, sometimes I'll drift off again until almost 8 but I don't actually get up and dressed right away. My disability makes it especially hard for me in the morning, so I usually sip coffee and make phone calls from bed, but once I'm up I'm dressed - full job - with make up!
<----has to be up at 5 and to work by 6:45 or 7 every day...*sigh*
--- new member of the working forcer
Make Up?? Wow! I'm impressed!
Hi cosdem. What's your new job?
inventory and ordering for 7-11 franchise. just two 4 hour shifts a week but.. its something!
Oh don't be impressed, it keeps me sane. Being overweight, in a wheelchair and hitting 50 was hard enough - I needed to somehow hold it all together.
cos, did you get that hearing impaired support job you talked about?
Congrats,cos!
no they havent announced the openings yet.. so im waiting..
Great news Cos - I am so happy for you! Right now my paid work is also only 8 hours a week, but I am busy all the time anyway.
thanks nef!
Oh.guess not..sounds good and congrats cos
right. it gets me out of the house for 8 hours a week :)
Mich, I don't think I've ever worn makeup to work. I only wear (and wore) it for special events.
ive worn make up to work in the past lol (concealor)
<---has to put up with people asking if I am OK when I don't wear makeup
I spent 6 months in the hospital when I became disabled and found it would have been so easy to slip into poor me, slob mode so I started wearing a bit every day, now that I'm older, I feel ugly and undressed without it.
Oh Jilly, I totally relate!
the Aunt that raised us didn't believe in using makeup other than lipstick; so none of us 4 girls ever got in the habit of using make up. I think I used to wear a little eyeshadow and under-eye concealer when I was working nights and had meetings to go to; but not often
I was into the theatre as a young girl/teenager so I've been dabbling a bit my whole life. My mom came to me when she had somewhere "dressy" to go to.
I know a gal who says no one would recognise her if she didn't wear make up. I rather doubt her; but then again, who knows?
I actually know someone who puts on such a complete "face" that I truly didn't recognize her when I happened to see her without makeup. I try to look like me - just a wee bit better.
Well, 50 left...bbl
Back to the grid - I am stuck on the Z's, I must be staring at them but they are alluding me.
Catch you later Jilly
a metal and a "sort-of"

hey carlee i always wanted to ask: who are gloria and stanley? everytime youytalk about them i think you're referring to the golden girls' stanley and gloria lol
not seeing it...ruru is blacked out in my babble list in stats
Bye Nef, Tell your hubby it isn't a mess, it's a process

Hiya Lynxxx, good morning to you too
hi lyn
Hello. Just getting started. Today has been slow after a busy Monday. I decided to make doughnuts and am glad to have completed that goal for today.
hi Stidgmere....slow is good, we all need those days
Hi lynxxx. Yes, this evening is orchestra rehearsal and I will take a nap later so as to be at my best form for the group.
hi stidgmere
Hi medusa. Hope your day has gone well. Is it still cold in Great Britain? I have a friend who wrote about the winter weather.
it is still cold but i love cold so all is good. had a busy day as i did shopping and went to a group i go to
Finished - there was some pretty odd words in my last 10. Hint for those just starting - a 10th of the words have 'how old you are' at the end or near the end of them. Must run - Bye
By lynxxx. Thanks for the clues.
bye lyn
How nice you got out and about medusa. I need to look for a new coat. My old coat is still just as cozy as ever but not fresh. So that will be my next shopping trip.
i have a new coat i have had for a while but not fit in! i will one day
Have you noticed, maybe not in GB, but around here in the great Northwest, how many coats are black?
i have noticed that here but they are usually in a style i dont like! the one i have that is a bit tight is red but the one i am wearin is black
Aha, so it is probably a real world-wide trend for coats. I like something cheery or a little bright.
i like black but just fancied something different. was hard to find the red one though#!
co
co? peri?
ooops
Fast fingers, I think peri.
most of my coats are black too. they only came in black. But I did manage to get a purple parka last year and a blue jacket
sorry to but in but I agree with you medusa ... I have been trying to find somewhere who sells a RED coat .. it seems impossible!!!!
my raincoat is black and I really want one in a bright color. have looked everywhere and have not found one
I have a red dress coat. But it was my Mom's.
I may have to wait until colors become available again.
I would love a pair of green shoes too ,but can I find any anywhere ... noooo.
I want a pair of red shoes
my rain boots have bright colors at least
my rain boots have bright colors at least
peri .. you can have mine if you have big feet .. lol
I wear a 9/12 or 10
<---- Would love to be able to wear a black coat, or dress, or sweater. But my scalp psoriasis makes it impossible. My shoulders look like the Cresta Run, snow covered!!

tmi Soodle :)

Good night Mo. May you have sweet dreams.

hey all, whoever may be here, stopping by before getting all the schoolwork figured out.
oh well... back to grading papers. *heavy teacher sigh*
stid!! wait, have q quick ?
<---should have looked at time stamp...oh well
hi all!
Whew! Another live person...((uusue))
hi Jill! I am in fact mostly alive :-)
:D
((((sue)))). Thanks for your lovely comments on my Dad's pic!! He is one amazing guy.
hi soodle! He really does look great.
FB soodle?
For non Facebookers, Dad celebrated his 85th birthday yesterday. I put up a pic of an alarmingly youthful 85 year old, taken today!!
Jilly, I'm pathetic at changing my icon, but I'm going to try.... Stand by....
Just went there, he looks amazing..I should post one of my mom, she just turned 93...
Soodle, we are FB friends...just don't always get your newfeed.
My dad will be 92 on Easter...I need to give him a call!
Viva aged parents!!!!
<----mother is outdoing me....
Lol Jilly!! I know the feeling!
Can't change my pic, but will do, when an offspring makes themself available to help ,
Jilly, Sue, are your parents in good health?
But watching my mom and mil age, not so sure I should be working so hard to extend my age...old age has so many sad parts...
Only my mom survives...
How about you soodle?
My Mom is 81, Jilly..and I have also come to that way of thinking, but ask me again when I'm 80!!!!!
Well, MIL is 80, and has severe memory issues, my mom can't see or hear and ost all of her friends and siblings have died..just kinda sad
Mother has smoked like a chimney since age 16, has enjoyed her 'drop of whiskey' nightly since age 24. My Dad has drank like a fish all his life. I think the pair of them are that exception that prove the rule.....
Soodle, I just emailed you the picture right side to.
?pickled well? LOL, not being mean soodle, just have been around the irish too long...
Okay...need clue for the no6/24...
Sorry, stepped away for a few.
no6/24 ends in how old you are
Hey Jilly, like I say, they are both still around to tell the tale....
The whiskey makes one strong...
ah, no6 actually describes my dad (or would if it were an adjective)
You are allowed to step away Sue. You don't have to be sorry. : D
Well, NOW it looks easy...ty Molly!
Oh and Soodle, when you change the picture, change the full monty caption, unless there is something about your Da that we don't know.
oh, I got some semi-good news today...
...it turns out we have almost a month more to get moved than I thought we would. We have until the end of March, and the house should be ready March 1.
Yay for good news. This place is full of bad news all the time. Yay for good news.
Yay for good news!
So that means we can move gradually (the new house is only about 1/2 mile away), which will be nice. I'll probably still hire movers for a few big things but it won't be quite as much of a rush as I was afraid it might be.
Molly. Excuse me. Thank you for your help. Sorry for not thanking you earlier.
uusue2, since I haven't had the pleasure of meeting your dad, what does that mean?
he is in his 90s, kbckc
longevity can be a wonderful thing! and that gave me the tip I needed. Thx.
hi everyone, just passing through but stopped to say hello
yw, kbckc, and hi annie!
Hello ((((Annie))))
hi sue, I read you are moving. Good luck in your new home.
Hi (((Soodle)))
thanks, annie!
Short moves are really nice, gives one a chance to organize and all. When we bought this house was about 3 miles, we did like you with moving small stuff. Then DH dad, brother and MIL came, we moved the big stuff and had dinner in our new home that very night!
hey guys.. any chance i can get a clue for CO5/14?
Yes, that's pretty much the plan, Jill. I'm glad we will be able to spread it over 3-4 weeks.
Alas, Dad is still sideways.
im down to 5 so if anyone needs clues let me know
Home moving ranks up there with bereavement & divorce in terms of stress, I hear!
co and old time actor *** Ameche
co+mafia head
hi lbuxx!
nice clue! thank you
hey there sue
I was trying to think of famous Dons earlier. Ameche, Johnson, Ho, Henley and Meredith were all I could come up with.

It gives you fireworks!! and welcome jerry81!
hi Jerry!

hi jerry and bye everyone, going to watch the news
Yay!! finally found the wine...

See you later annie!
thanks for the wine, Jill! :-)

Jilly's uncorking the wine? Elbowing everybody out of the way, with wineglass outstretched.....
thx guys!
pe6/24 plz
*pouring soodle glass of pi5/12 (as a warm up to the whiskey)
silly indeed, ibuxx!
like a type of necklace.. minus the 1st N
clue for pe6/24 that is..
ah, got the de7 and the pa5 (as well as other p words that didn't work), thanks!
ur welcome!
and we have a lot of pe6/24s around campus :-)
<---puts on dunce cap
Slurp. Thank you Jilly.
Dictionary definition of pe6: 1. a person who makes an excessive or inappropriate display of learning. 2. a person who overemphasizes rules or minor details. 3. a person who adheres rigidly to book knowledge without regard to common sense.
I know people who fit all three :-)
There are a lot of pe6s who play Babble : P
ahhhhh *lightbulb*
Did greedy, elbowing Soodle get her wine?
tytyty-twisty is not good for me
Judging by the slurp, I would say yes :-)
*Raises eyebrow* A lady sits daintily and waits to be served.
Soodle was being poured the glass of pi5/12 Molly
Yes but by self admission, she elbowed everyone out of the way.
Soodle is still holding our her empty wineglass.... And looking hopefully around the chog for a white-coated waiter to tend her needs...
<----asks a cabana boy to come out from PB and pour soodle a glass...
Also seeking a grape-peeler....
*Sends the sommalier to Soodle*
Ugh, sommelier
Good luck with the grape peeler thing.
LOL...
Soodle fluffing out her greying hair, batting her mascarraed eyes, and keeping her aging fingers crossed.....
and tummy tucked in too soodle...be a lady!
Jilly!! If I tucked my tummy in any more, my belly button would fall out my backside.....
This is like an episode of The Golden Girls.
Or Shades of Gray...
Um, no. I don't think 50 Shades Of Gray applies. No.
Sheesh. I SO want to meet up with you guys in person!! I just know I would laugh the whole night long!!!
Suppose not...how about "the graduate'?
That would be so much fun!!
Soodle, Dad is still sideways. What are you having trouble with?
And heres to you, Mrs Dickinson, erm. Mrs Robinson....
*hoping soodle can straighten up dad*
Oh crap. We lost an Andrews Sister (Patty). She was 94. Happy trails Patty.
Molly!! I know you are only going to get annoyed with me. When the offspring come home, it'll get fixed. Till then, live with it.
She's with the bugle boy of company D! but what a loss!!
hello babblers
Well, they are all 3 together on the other side now. Good boogie woogie there tonight.
Yep...what a party!
Poor bugle boy, when did he get demoted to Company D?
Hi TO
hi molly
Good afternoon / evening or morning if you're here!
...guess it was B...
anyone in he bad weather now?
hello TO and lizlin
Hey TO & Liz
Still loads of water around and it's raining again - but not too heavily. Lots of clearing up in many areas. Internet still questionable!!!!
hello jilly liz and soods
Just rain here. Windy conditions are likely for the coastal regions.
the sky looked so nasty when i was shopping. but the bargains were so sweet.
Hubby on phone to provider now - no time frame for sorting out the internet!!!!!
At least babble's working OK!
thank goodness.
Looking for suitable attire for youngest daughters 18th birthday party. Just celebrated elder daughters 21st. A bit jaded from all these celebrations.
<----!!FW!! zi6/39 was my last
yay and that is some word!
*admits to entering zinger more than once...
Congrats Jilly :)
Just be glad you will be at daughter's 18th party. Most kids that age don't want their parents around.
Whoo hoo Jilly!!!
Well. to run, but have youth ministry tonight...bbl though; will need to decompress after...
And why jaded?
i am beat. i think a nap beofre cooking. though it will beo tomorrow's dinner at this point.

Happy celebrations soodle :)
<With TO!!
Ah, but it's good to have things to celebrate. : )
Cheers Liz. :-:

I agree with Molly! Bye TO - enjoy your evening :)
Oh for sure Molls. Its all good & its all positive.
Clue for ad 6 pls?
nm!
Never knew I had that piece of musical knowledge!!!!
Peri Syndrome
lol! Perhaps instead of nm, we should just type Peri Syndrome!
How about ai 6?
Peri syndrome - I must carry on asking for clues - it seems to help!
I just wish it worked on things like "Lottery jackpot please"
Me too! Especially with the GBP / AUD exchange rate the way it is!
Heading off to bed now. Before I logged in tonight I was unenthusiastic about Suzie's 18th. Now, I'm looking forward to it. Once again, thank you, Babble friends, for your perspective. Good night all. :-)
Night Soodle. Wishing you happy dreams.
Night soodle - sleep well :)
hi all, back to find my last 27words

oh glad you got it! congrats
The storm has been raging for about 20 minutes.....wind blowing rain sideways. Please send energy ......not too afraid right now but just saw where it flipped a tractor trailer.
Une, were you affected by this monster?
sending prayers from Florida. can totally relate how scary it can be
Dogs are staying very close.
Une was on earlier saying that she has had storm troubles.
Thank you grammaterri.
Thank you grammaterri.
Oh, thanks Molly. I do hope she is alright.
Seemed like she was fine. Her dogs were freaking out though.
I can understand that.
I have a 90 lb black lab that tries to jump in my lap in storms. she is so scared of everything tho. if someone tries to pet her when we go for a walk, she tries to jump in my arms
I just had a mental flash of that. LOL! That is awhole lot of love there!
lol it sure is. I take her bye bye with me every where and usually she is fine sitting in the back seat. but tonight someone talked to her thru the cracked window and she literally jumped into my seat (the drivers seat) to get away from them. thankfully I was not driving!
I have a secure her in the seat type leash I probably will need to use from now on as she has done that before.
We have tornado warnings around here, but mostly expecting heavy rain and high wind.
Yes, that could cause real problems.
I hope "warnings" is all you get from this, Molly.
fun stuff Molly, not.
hi all
*tied to post in living room*
hi Jmc. for sure Peach, but I don't want to quit taking her bye bye's. love her with me at all times. when I go to the bathroom, she tries to stick her paws under the door like my kids used to do with their hands lol
oh you have the wicked storms too?
i am relatively near molls
glad my flight was early enough to miss all of this although it took me as long to make the normally 20 minute drive from the airport to my house as it took to fly from Texas to Dulles
be safe ya'll!
Please keep us in your prayers, gramma.
you bet!
goodness peach the storm is all the way down there??
Yep. It is 900 miles of might.
wow!

The winds are howling now. My dogs are RIGHT HERE!
Hope you and all your property keep safe :)

Do you have the 5/12? It's an extension of that.
Do you have the 5/12? It's an extension of that.
Why'd that go twice? sorry!
starts like the io5 drop last letter then add high point and vowel
Thanks much, smores and Champ.
yw

?!? that's weird
Hallo again :)
Hi liz :)
Back for the last 17 words
hi, everyone!
Hi welki :)
Liz! i 'saw' you online before your ceremony - congratulations on your new citizenship!
salmo..have you aced this yet?
Thanks welki - Tbings have been very weird since then - floods etc. Were without power for several days - nothing compared to the people who suffered with Sandy of course!
Hey there, welki.
strange weather all over - i understand eastern Australia is having a bad time of it, too
eaget
and eastern US - and southern US - and we've had severe weather here, too - just a bad week
Sorry.
<- didn't see anything
I heard about the Eastern US - we're in eastern Aus and caught the cyclone!
I just hit the enter key sent word into chat.
i thought you were in queensland
QLD is eastern aux!
aus!
In fact I live an hour away from the most easterly point of the Aus mainland!
ahhhh - my mistake. northeast.
i'm nsw-centric :)
The main damage from the cyclone was in Bundaberg - 5 hours from here but then the cyclone ripped through the rest of QLD and into Northern NSW
i love geography/maps, and i'm ashamed i didn't know better
i see it on the map - just south of gladstone (which happens to be the name of a once-great seaside restaurant in malibu)
Well, we're on the Gold Coast - pretty lucky compared to many places!
LIz glad to see you haven't floated away
But our beaches will need a lot of repair work and also there's been a lot of flooding nearby.
you must be close to brisbane
hi herin
Hi
beaches all over the world have suffered big damage recently :(
Hi herin! No - still here - without power for a few days and internet is weird at the mo - can't get to any news site, fb or flickr, amongst others!
Hey there, herin.
We're about 50 miles south of Brisbane (70 km)
would you like me to post something on your page for you, liz?
Were are you?
No thanks welki - thankfully skype and hotmail are fine, so I've been in contact with family etc.
Also my phone was still quite charged, when power went and I was able to text my brother.
On the Gold Coast - 12 km inland, herin - presuming that question was to me.
Never been to the Gold Coast. Up in the hinterlands Nosa yes
Went to Noosa for a day last year, to visit family :)
My friend lives in the Cedar Grove area. He is so greatful the wind has died down
have to run - stay safe, liz - cuddles to the kitties, herin
Back at you Welki
Bye welki - ty for the kind thought :)
Hi and bye welki :)
Hi Smores
Hey herin :)
Always feel relieved when I start using the dictionary and the words are ones I don't know!!!
:)
Heck, Lizlin, I thought I was pretty smart until I started playing BABBLE....found out I'm damn near illiterate.
Hi GA
OK, I can't even spell (stupid) either.
How are you, herin?
lol GA
Tired
I know that feeling well.
Me too Peach - I was a primary literacy (English) teacher in the UK - thought I had a good vocal!
vocab!
Didn't sleep well last night and then stupid ass black cat played POKE in the face at 2:30am and then did laps of the bed at 7am
Indeed, Liz. Quite humbling.
Oh no herin...does he usually do that?
Herin, I have a dog that sometimes has trouble sleeping (just as I finally get sleepy)....I give half a, well, I can't think of the name, but is an antihistamine tab in peanut butter and he goes back to sleep.
Fireworks :)
Hey, congrats, Lizlin!!!!
BBL - need to hang out next load of washing and hope it doesn't rain!!!!
WooHoo Liz !! WTG
Has anyone heard from ruru? I've grown accoustomed to his buns.....oh hell, I mean puns.

Yess kitty does that a lot. Except I don't smack him

hi all! That zi6 is a little weird.
One of our cats used to stand on my headboard and lean over right in my face. I would wake up and we would be almost touching noses.

She definitely had the look, but her acting is awful. And her version of a Boston accent is laughable.

Liz - he was fine in Interview with a Vampire as the story was complete different to the books any way but Reacher STEP the f away. Seriously the director was a total dick
It's the Reacher movie that my friend was talking about - I've not read the books nor seen the movie yet but I gather he was the complete physical opposite! Didn't he have a large share in the film? I liked him in Top Gun and Interview with a Vampire!
Ok Reacher in the books is about 260 pounds and built like a line backer. Tom Cruise looks like an angry little leprocorn.
Stupid casting - but as I said, I think Tom Cruise had quite a share in the finances or backing of the movie!
And he did have a huge share in the Finances.
Because I would have paid a lot of cash to see Chris Hemsworth in that role
So why are we surprised that he's got the lead role!
BBL - enjoy your afternoon, herin and in the US, enjoy your evenings :)
