Hi Buttonman

Flosey, I need a clue for the sl 5/16 please

same as the first sl5/12 change first vowel to sometimes vowel
I am up at 2:30 am and can't sleep
oh, that's not good
where are you?
I'm on west coast
so just past 12:30 here
College Station, Texas
What part of the West Coast...I have four children and 24 grandchildren in California
interesting, have only seen the inside of the Airport in Texas - coming out of Toronto during winter snowstorm - flew to NY, then to Tx. then to Nevada - left early am, arrived late pm
BC Canada
thanks flosey, got the sl5
uw
yw
interesting, I have 4 children, 2 grandsons
we love visiting Canada...wonderful and beautiful...esp the west coast
yes, hubby was born/raised here, then taught just north of Toronto for 30 years but his dream was always to come home to farm the family property
so we're in a valley, also have mountain property where his father homesteaded following the Boer War
finished and headed to bed...nice visiting with you flosey
thanks, enjoyed, and well done
have a good sleep now
di4,5 anyone?
kid's say the d***dest things, suko=kid
good morning all
hello spritey...we meet again. lol. have you had a good night, dearest?
*hugs rose* Not spectacularly, no. Still coughing a lot. And you?
how was your long shift?
awww, poor sprite. i hope you are soon over this, sweetie. today was interesting....at one point we had 6 nurses, 6 bays, and 7 patients.
good morning my babble friends:)
new shoes were great....have very tired feet, but legs and back not too bad.
omg! How did you solve that? "Sorry m'am, we are full, you'll be operated on in the corridor... or you will have to share an OR."
and hello to you, too, crossy
howdy,granny
hiya crossy *hugs*
((sprite))
lol.....very quickly moved one onto 2nd stage recovery....fortunately the nurses there were very accommodating...in more ways than one.
crossy never had accomodating nurses.mine were like those soviet or german bloc 80s olymic athletes they used to send over all pumped full of steroids.."UNT! you vill haff your sponge baff mein patient!" you cannot run little man!"
*giggle* poor crossy. where was that, mate?
und now it is time to shave you.screaming will not help little one"
seems like every time i need to stay at one they just move the same nurse around lol
*wonders just which part of crossy's anatomy they were shaving*
i used to ask for one she did not use on her face that morning lol
hey, crossy, c'mon over here. you might get lucky and have me for your nurse. *grins evilly *
acck!! run!..
hehe
vegimite ivs!
* chases crossy with extra large enema tube* you can run, but you can't hide...
goof mornig
nah, crossy, vegemite enemas. lol
typo, but maybe it applied to crossy and rose!
goof morning to you too, ruby. {{hugs}}
crossy tries to pucker up tighter than a snare drum and run at the same time.....

it's raining again and on the verge of snowing -- very cold and horrible but at least they finally took away the old fridge -- they had to remove the doors and a gate and it took 4 guys
better watch it.our american friends will be stumbling to the computers shortly...
they won't "get" vegemite! hohah
I am freezing and wish I could just go back to bed but, no, must make lunch for husband
ruby, dear...make him a vegemite sandwich, then high-tail it back to bed....perhaps a LARGE cxampari chaser?
he's alreay had 2 camparis and is litting louring in his chair Mr. Charm
was +10c last night we were sweating bullets all night.we had to readjust for spring
give him anothery, give him anothery...then he won't care...
another warm one today at +6
ruby, how are ruffie and rafaella? are they still doing okay?
we had our first full rain yesterday since last november
here it's less than 40 but feels colder' I imagine it's snowing in the mountains
crossy, we haven't had any rain to speak of for about the same amount of time.
we still have snow on the mtn here, but that hard rain effectivly killed it for the skiers for this year
I think the pups love each other even though there's still a lot of rough play. He ever hurts her and she always comes back for more and they share food and toys. The only problem is her eye which looks like it's infected. Vet is coming tonigh to give Rafie a shot and to give me flea/tick meds for both of them as there's a lot of scratching going on
indeed granny,but for different reasons
ruby, do you have a stiff breeze blowing? that always makes it feel colder.
it is just terrible weather but the brave daffs are open anyway
ah,i cannot wait to see smething green and growing again
yeah, crossy. i hear you. my better half says...if i wanted to live in the tropics i would have moved to queensland.
for a while....our nights were becoming warmer after the sun had set....go figure.
only down under:)
we've actualy been Lucky; there's been much more snow in nortern France and in the UK
oh, btw.....mother mac, who was admitted to hospital last saturday, for pain management....now has a chest infection. *sigh*
:(((
are they eeoing her?
keeping* too cold to type
and my mother has been admitted into a full-time care facility. looks like she won't be going back to her home again, ever
wow, you've so uch on your plate {{rose}}

{{{mrs. elegant}}}}
yes, ruby. and i will not have her home until her pain and chest infection are both under control.
and i am surry bout your mum, granny:(
awwww, elegant. {{hugs, love and prayers}}
how is your husband taking it? It must be a bit of relief for you, though. Is she at "your"hospital rose?
no ruby, she is at the local hospital, just around the corner from our home. don is okay....in fact, i think he is relieved...he doesn't handle running around after her very well.
I love you both but must go and cook
{{rose}} {{crossy}}
"it can be tough when they try to keep thier own home long past the time it is advisable.unless a declining senior is under your own roof, you get run ragged trying to make sure all is ok
((ruby))
darn...just when this is getting interesting....dinner ready to be served. crossy, will keep elegant in my prayers....ruby, as always you are in my prayers, and spritey, love to you hun.
tc,granny and have a good dins
btw, crossy, handed over the care of my mother to my brothers.....but she still insists on my being her next-of-kin. which means all who are involved in her care ring me!!!!

I love Maxine. Takes sarcasm to a whole new level.

hi all
howdy peri
ey + last two of Scarlet's home
how many words, please?
ty Molls, I tried every combo but that one
28 left, I think this grid is a tough one. off to my collage class. bbl. going to be 80 today!!
77, McLeach :)
bye peri!
rats. i was hoping for a bigger one today.
thx mael
so true, hurshy. I've been away on business for a week and a 77 is what I come back to? feh.
feh!
what kind of business do you work in, mael?
I manage my own investment company
oh my
are you one of the 1% ?
I inherited it when I was 22 and had to make do :)
gee, all i inherited was depression.
I am, and I would love my taxes raised :)
^5 for mael
i never imagined anyone who did that sort of thing would have time for babble
I work from home, so I make my own hours
babble really helps me decompress
i love being below the poverty line.you fly right under revenue canada's radar
I was an english major in college, words are more my speed than business
sure, but, one gets the impression that those hours are very numerous
we just run right across the spectrum here i guess
every facet of life is here in babble:)
they are numerous, but erratic. So I maybe work like crazy for a week, 7am-9pm days, and then some days it's quieter :)
name that proper noun! little swiss girl of children's lit
heidi!
ding ding ding!
anyone know what the ACTUAL h from the right is?
oh wait, i do!
care to share? been looking for that for 15 min now:(
I've been thinking of that little swiss girl lately because we just got goats and are about to embark on a goat milk binge....
writer O He5
nice rasta! did you name 'em schwanli and barli?
goat milk is very good for you however my experience has shown me the actual keeping of goats is a royal P.I.T.A
ty hurshy
Thanks, hurshy! I usually get those weird units, but not today. Mama goat came with the name Rowan, we're naming the little girls Juniper and Pinyon, which is our climax ecosystem here and continues the mountain tree theme...
now i want goats.
Yes, we know big commitment. But the sailor dh has retired and is eager to stay home for extended periods. Happy to have an excuse to not leave. And the only way to get raw milk here in NV.
we had 5 acres and a house dead centre.we had a gradious plan to get three goats that had become available at a reasonable price. 1 nanny, one billy and a young one born that spring.we envisioned need crop circles of acre cleanliness and every few days moving the goats over 20 feet on their daytime tethers and in no time at all having a nice neat tidy 5 acrel lot...did not work that way! lol
We've only had them 4 days, so far they're charming and not too demanding. But we haven't started milking yet, leaving the kids on mama so she doesn't fill up, while we build the milking stand. Got them in kind of a hurry
We don't see how we can have them in the yard eating, they'll eat all the things we care about. But we back up to the BLM and have 10K acres of sagebrush scrub for them to graze on, once we get them comfortable with us to take out on leads
10K acres? wow!
they ate the plants, they ate the bark of the trees, they ate the trees themselves, they ate all the grass down to a dustbowl inducing height, they ate all the flowers, they ate the tether rope and when they got loose they ate the door and window trim off of the house..they ate everything
our 5 acres lasted one month exactly and we were in the middle of a dust bowl.we had to sell them
better stock in lots of alternative feed
well with 10K, i think rasta should be ok....
Well 10K might be a bit of an exaggeration for our bit; it is bounded by some roads so it's finite. But I bet it's 1K at least, more than our goats can damage. The ATVs do way more damage.
i woukld start off with 50 bales of hay and 50 bales of straw lol
yes, alfalfa will be the bulk of their diet.
we failed to research it properly hehe
sorry ten thousand acres? well, you may have enough then :))
maybe lol
The family we got them from estimated only two flakes a day, and some grain as a treat for the milking stand. Salt block. that's about it. All the sagebrush will be extra
but we are coming into this with minimal experience. Dh has had horses in the past though, they can't be worse than that. No hoof work at least
we were so shell shocked after that we went with just goldfish for the next year or 2
lol
pigs however are easy
though we had them all get nasty sunburns one year and we had to make them a new wallow fast
Dh volunteers at the local animal shelter, and they just inherited a banty rooster. Gave him to us because we're the only people thye know with chickens. But we already have a rooster. Tried in on briefly to see if they possibly might get a long, but of course not. We are now considering tossing him into the goat yard, see how that works out.
cannot hurt
dh won't consider pigs, because he refuses to think about actually killing an anima, and that's the only reason to grow pigs.
i do not THINK they will try and eat the rooster...
thats why we gave all our pigs names like porkchop, backbacon, saussage etc
We think he might be able to fly, though, unlike our heavier birds in the chicken coop proper, and the goat yard isn't covered
half fly half leaping sort of thing.they can clear a fence if allowed
we've got 6 ft chain link around the goat pen. But a sensible bird would stick around, yes?
we had chickens once.the most stupid batch of birds i have ever met in my life.one winter night the heat lamp bulb burnt out and we did not know till morning.we went in there and what did we see.9 of the 15 birds had just stodd in the water trough till it froze around their feet!
We have a pigeon in the chicken coop, rescued it with a broken wing at one point, same dilemma, what do you do with it, so we tossed it in there. Wing healed , she can fly just fine now, got out once and came back voluntarily for the easy lving...
Chicken yard is fully enclosed due to hawk problem...
yes,no need to put out snacks for the predatory birds...
we fed a lot of coyote early on too
Free ranging sounded nice but didn't work
coyotes are just coming back heavy here now.till 5 years ago they were a rare thing.now ,in our town at least people have learned to have indoor cats instead of letting them roam.coyotes love cat meat it seems
yes we've lost some cats as well.
and we now have tons of wild turkeys.15 years ago we made a deal with kentucky.we traded 100 of out white tailed deer for 100 of their turkeys..was a good deal all round
lol my sister in WI has a neighborhood turkey. The mailman refuses to deliver anymore, he is terrorized
with proper permit we are allowed to enter a lottery to take one turkey per year. but not many permits are issued
we do not want to lose them again
morning all. crossy on your recipe yesterday, are the pork sausages like breakfast sausages or mild italian...or something else?
i use the dinner size honey garlic saussages
but nice big italian sausages will work also.not the breakfast ones howeve
and i used montarey(sp) jack cheese
h-m-m...are those Aidell (sp?) brand?
time before i used 5 year old apple wood smoked quebec cheddar
your brands differ from ours.i just got the brand they make right in store
sounds like some good variations!
got it. will see what i can come up with.
you do not want a octoberfest type that has to be boiled first before being cooked
thanks for recipe
just the garden variety large pan fryable saussages .ours come in a 6 pack
np at all was yummy
and leave it in till the cheese just start to get dark bubbly spots on it...mmmmm
like you would do with scalloped taters
making me very, very hungry!
i used 1/4 package of leftover penne noodles, but any type will do
and cut each pre cooked sausage bruchetta style on an angle into 5-5 pieces
approx how many servings from that recipe?
will serve 5 with veggies and salad
4-5 pieces*
uselarge square glass pyrex lasagna oven dish
i need to go back and add all these tips to the recipe! thanks again. back into lurk mode. hagd
i used honey vs the corn syrup.nice grade a honey in the sausage coating makes all the difference
and go a tad heavier on the chilli powder, but just a tich.just enough to make your lips tingle like you have been kissing for an hour non stop:)))

mounds?
it's getting scary over there, maybe they think we're all watching syria etc. and took our eye off the ball in their end of the world?
;-)
son trying to show he is as tough as his dad i suspect
I'm sure none of the world is ignoring NK now. They are drawing so much attention to themselves.
yeah, we all know how well that worked for the bushes... ;)
If you want to see how backwards a country really is, go to Google Earth and look at a night time view of the Koreas. The image is startling.
it work okayfor them not so much for the rest of us. . .
nbt. . .
what does it show judi?
It's crazy, Kate. SK is lit up light a Christmas tree and NK is as dark as a tomb. Just shows how little resources NK really has.
maybe they are conscious of light pollution ;-
sorry trying for ;-)
I didn't know that Oh was a first name : D
wow, so like they are in the stone age... i think they have the (natural) resources, just not the infrastructure... plenty of coal

does anyone have a clue for the pi 6/30?
yes
sounds like a common larger city bird, or the language of eliza doolittle before professor he 5/16 higgins got her under his tutelage
tyvm Kate

:) it's so quiet in here, i keep wandering off...
crossy bounces into the room:))..
boing, boing, boing :) hey there crossy!
howdy kate:)
just getting started?
my beloved is having a bit of a rest so here i is:)
yup
yippeeeee... time to abbble and what-not ;)
and crossy is just chock full of what-nots today:)
did you get the biggie thunder last night?
nope.had your first rain since november and today is another super mild(11 c) but overcast day
oh dear! (blushing) keep your what-nots for yur beloved ;)
our
we are shedding our skier tourist pelt for spring:))
not too shabby crossy. we're supposed to get to 16 or so, but days of rain are moving our way, and the temp willtake a dive tomorrw :(
you may lose the skiers, but then you will be invaded by weekend cottagers and their roaring motor boats... and then.... like new england folks - you will be deluged with LEAFERS ;)
brb
it's times like this that i wish we could go back and do the old grids.. wish i knew how to write a program for it...
i think that is a great idea Trader
I got opened the grid and I read about phaeton losing her daughter. My God. Does anyone know what happened?
*just
oh no i didn't read that. . .how sad!
How awful!
where did you read it?
It is in today's grid...someone was asking phaeton how she was and she was sorry about the loss of her daughter. Too, too sad
When I read that a babbler was saying how sorry she was, I went to the archives to find out more. But that's all that were there.
dear me. . . maybe in yesterday's?
or in Facebook, but I am not in FB
no, it was maybe a month ago now, not sure exactly. she had leukemia i think, so it was not sudden.
That is terribly sad.
I remember now. . . no memory in my wee little brain. . .
i hesitated about saying anything after so long, but i hadn't seen her since i heard about it.
She left 3 children, 7, 5 and 2. Three adorable children.
lol, you're brain is crammed full of "taxing" numbers is it jmc?
*sigh*
they are beautiful kids, aren't they?
they are beautiful kids. . .
if TO were here, the bar would be opened by now... booze or a cuppa jmc?
have to leave for a while, bye
<---- passes jmc a slice of warm apple pie with lots of cinnamon in it and french vanilla ice cream
bye annie, see you tomorrow maybe
do any of you lurkerz want clues/hints? i think i will be going soon.
mummmmummmaammumam
sorry hard to talk with that pie i my mouth
how about stats for the Y words besides what a kitty plays with
a litlle something to wash it down with? ...y's coming up
i have some ice tea but thanks. . . .
ya 4/6 (kitty toy) ya 4/8 yi 4/7
ty ty i greyed that one out.. .
i am on hold with weight watchers with which i am very unhappy. . .
Uh oh, what did Weight Watchers do?
i signed up 2 weeks free trial. . . except they are trying to make it not a free trial. . .
:) who says grey is a dirty word ;) crazy clue for pi 6/30 take a farm animal + a loud noise... reverse the 2 consonants in the center for broken english
I am very leery of "free trial" offers.
hmmmm, just a hard sell or is it bait & switch?
They always want your credit card number and I just know something is going to get charged to it.
very very hard sell
they have a pretty good reputation, i would think giving someone 2 weeeks free wouldn't be abig deal, they'll be raking it in after that any way.....
Poor Weight Watchers. They don't know who they are dealing with. : D
are they trying to sell you the supplementary foods?
I tried to do their "free" online program too
grins @ molly and nods
not so free
i have done it before and always gotten my money back. . . but i read the fine print
did you have trouble gemini ?
what happened with you gemini?
couldn't sign up for free... there was a fee
they are advertising it all over TV
A fee for free, gotta love it : D
what did they calll it, a processing fee or something?
i am getting my money back but it cost me 2 hours on the phone and some rather crisp language!
not to mention a stamp, envelop and piece of paper. . .
I think you got the 2 weeks free,, but had to pay for 3 months... some deal like that
Crappy customer service.
exactly gemini. . . i offered to sue them if they tried that. . .
imagining just what constitutes "crisp" language in jmc's world....
i told the girl she should be embarrassed. . . and that was one of the nice things i said. . .
up here herbal life has a thing on now - they pay you $10.00 for every pound you lose... think there's a catcch?
I like the offers where they offer you a two week sample of "the product" for free, but you have to pay $16.95 for shipping and handling. Right.
haha. . . yes . . .
her explanantion for the 87 hoops i am suppose to jump through is that they need "feed back" on the program. . .
not much for free in this world... except for hugs and clues in babbleland
Ooo JMC, I hope you don't find Jennifer Hudson singing on your front lawn. : D
I just dropped it,, but have a friend who joined online,,, she is happy with the deal... $18 a month.... after the "free" deal
I pointed out (using words begining with B and S)that they could get feed back online or by the phone. . . .
if jennifer shows up we will pelt her with FISH!
i know several people who love WW but I could never find the things that I cook in their lists. . . homemade tamales just weren't part of the plan. . .
and i could figure out a way to take ingredients to figure out the points. . . i am sure it is fine for people who eat out or frozen dinners. . .
But wait...all those happy, thin people on TV say you can lose weight eating all the things you love. : O
mmmm, now i'm getting really hungry. skipped lunch today, now longing for tamales
my neighbors may warn Jennifer Hudson about the time the party next door went on too late on a school night. . .
ya, the one lady says "and on WW i can have <<A>> cookie.... who the hell eats ONE cookie?
i guess they don't love homemade food. . . and i know that has to be wrong because my friend did fine with the program and she cooks all the time. . .
i don't even eat sweets!
I will refrain from commenting on Weight Watchers because there are too many people here who think it's the cat's meow.
<----- could not live without choclit and cheese... the list is very long and caloric :)
anyway these companies underestimate my patience when i get mad. . . .
I will say that everyone I know who has "gone on Weight Watchers" has gone off of it and gained all their weight back.
if it works for you, then it's great... not every program works for everybody
you know molls. . . i figure it works for some people so good for them. . . it just didn't work for me. . . clicking a button saying i had 8 hours sleep really didn't do it for me. . .
no one of my best friends really had her life turned around in a good way and she has kept the weight off even though she is now in Beijing. . .
True enough. No one weight loss plan works for everyone.
hehe after 30 years i took great delight in disabling the alarm feature on every clock in the house..however now that i do not HAVE to get up at 05:30 am,i seem to wake up on my own at 05:15...life karma at work:(
i think i will have to go find one of those old calorie counter books that have things like 3 oz. cornmeal
and as for weight loss..i will not even go there.too busy enjoying my 4th life
it must be out online somewhere jmc crossy takes his awakening into his own hands - woot!
well i want to enjoy my life so i need to slim down some. . . but i will say that while i was thinking about it over the last week i did lose 4 lbs
no almost everything online dealing with weight loss has a price tag. . .
my family is getting zapped like bugs in a bug zapper last 3 years..seems sensless to worry about the fat content of the yogurt i am about to eat in that light:))
I have only ever lost weight because I was active. I have never become active because I lost weight.
http://www.myfitnesspal.com/ i've heard about this from a couuple of folks lately - and there's an app for it too
same here windingwake. now that my kness are a problem,i do hiking all summer and snowshoeing in winter..less damaging
the reality is that weight cuts life expectancy. . . it is about balance for me. . . i don't want to be a marathon runner but i want to stop panting when i walk up to my upper level baseball seats. . .
also a life without butter would make me sad. ;)
ty trader i will check that out
rad the reports on margerines lately?? my god!! i could not run back to real butter fast enough!!
butter is better :)
it is indeed
what julia child said that it wasn't about life without butter it was about using the right amount of butter well
Of course balance--but I think if you look close at the studies, there's a lot of wiggle room in that weight v. life expectancy. Numbers like cholesterol or blood pressure matter a lot more.
all moderation..except for my bacon:))
i have never bought margerine
but for most people cholestoral and blood pressure is linked to weight. . .
my brother in law was thin and trin and got poleaxed by a stroke last fall, second one carried him off 2 days ago..you never know
he was 51
sorry to hear that crossy. . .
i'll use margerine for some cooking, but not for things like veal cutlets... there is no substitute for the perfect grease :)
ty,jmc
i am 62 and my mother lived to 96 and grandmother to 98 so i want my probably long life to be a good one. . .
my beloved has had a tough go.her mum last oct and now her brother and her da 2 years ago
I'm sorry too. That's so hard.
i use olive oil or if i can get it cotton seed oil to cook. . . sometime with a little butter or bacon fat for flavor. . .
i didn't know crossy, so sorry to hear it. sending you and yours a big bear hug
give elegant my sympathy crossy
I've never heard of using cotton seed oil. What is it like?
right H?
i have started using nice olive oils for stir frys etc
i will indeed.jmc
shakespeare wrote about a king kje
ah ty
I forget that is a word
it is tasteless and colorless and undyhydogynized and therefore not bad for you like many other veggie oils
hi kje. . . .
hi
i don't like olive oil. i find the taste too heavy, and you cna't use it for high temp cooking because it scorches too easily
interesting. I'll have to keep an eye out.
but i can rarely get it up here in the relative north of washington dc! haha
i try to go by the creedo 'eat brakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper" keep me from going to bed with a full stomach and that is part of the battle also
gien
cottonseed oil you can use at very high temps. . .
sorry
ty kje
that was my last g word. . .
use virgin olive oil vs extra virgin olive oiul for frying, kate.saying that though it is no good for deep frying applications
i will look into the cottonseed oil, i have seen it. i use safflower or sunflower mostly
Well that's hopeless then, heh. I live in Maryland, heh.
use coconut oil... can take high temps, neutral oil, quite good for you
well i have homework to do before i go to the baseball game. . .
though I mostly like olive and avocado
oils
ah... enjoy the game jmc!
have fun at the game jmc
for battered frying i use peanut oil, does not transfer taste and lasts ages
i find that peanut oil tastes of peanuts... which is why i don't like satays... love pb and meat - but NOT together!
i do not use deep fryers anyways.have mostly perfected the art of oven "frying"
http://tinyurl.com/catrqon
there are 2 flowers and a tree in the grid today
bye all. . . . 34 left. . .
tc jmc
one of the flowers is also a tree
thanks jmc, i'll take a look at it now
very true bichon clever babbbler!
there is mid-eastern money and mid-eastern food
anyone else need stats/hints? i have to go soon
could I have
Any clues for the pi6,30?
Could I have a clue for he5?
shakespeare wrote a play about the fifth one...
ah, just found the treeflower, thanks!
he5 = a mans name
thanks I've got it
pi 6/30 (clever clue) take a farm animal add a big noise... reverse the 2 middle consonants and you will get mangled english
pi 6/30 normal clue... broken english? sounds like a large city bird
Wow, Kate. That is clever. I'm working on it...
not that clever, i'm just tired, so my mind thinks i'm being clever
Thank you Kate. I got it. Just realized I kept guessing 5 letter words. I must be out of it today.
:) we've all been there and done that!
anything else?
FW for me, hagd everyone
congrats winding! did you list?
I did. Some of those words are not words, so far as my brain is concerned =)
and ty =)
me too, i'm no babble genius. was pleased that i got down to 15 before giving in
I was at 20-something, I think.
there are a lot of really strange words in here osmetimes.. and other days it's a fish pond ;)
I have the most trouble with the long words, usually, but today it was some of those fives that got me.
i really should go, see you all tomorrow hopefully..
see you, TK!
and I should go for real now, too.
the really long ones either jump right out or wrap around themselves and hide... the ones that get me are the words that all use one point tiles..5-6-7 letters way too many combos!
*poof*
this is an evil little grid
hello everyone - diving in :)
nbt and missing the h
got it
Hi Nan. Little grid. Everyone did it and ran.
super easy one today
Grem, they are all easy for you, whiz kid. : D
Relatively speaking!
*!* ta da *!* - bye :)
Hello all!
Woot WooT WooT cyber!
Hello Wooting Jill
Hello Miss Molly!
;-) they need to do a babblet free grid one of these days...
brb
It figures that I had difficulty seeing the ad5/14
"this time of year we all tend to avoid that word
Hi again :)
Is the word allergy?
LOL...no, over 21
23 left...bbl to finish
hmpf...Enable doesnt accept stidg
mmm, long grained fried rice with roasted pork bits, diced sweet onions, diced shrooms, diced sweet red pepper served with crunchy bean sprout topping
:) sounds good crossy
I just remade leftovers
Okay, just findng too many to leave...LOL
it is and i love one pan dinners.just added a simple greek salad and crusty french stick to make a meal
I soooo am not having that problem...lol
Henceforth my comment earlier about needing a babblet free grid...LOL
most may find this grid easy, but it is killingme with these babblets
crossy you are so wonderful. i am "making" BLTs with plain old iceberg lettuce and plain old hot house tomatoes. In truth the kids have toast with cinnamon and eat the bacon on the side so i'm not even making BLTs for them!
lol, some days i am creative, other days i will toss my teen a box of KD and point to the microwave
Oh, but I have listed....
all the r words are ry i take it? they are hiding
Today I am making soup with ham bones, garbanzos, onion, and a little pork sausage. My dear husband has slightly broken a bone in his hand and will drink his soup from a cup.
yum!
there is a ra4/4
mmm, sounds delish, stidmere.i am sorry bout hubbys hand:(
three ra words
mm..must all be babblets
<---!!FW!!...tu5/14 was my last...LOL, figures that it is the ultimate spring sign...
One minute we're fine and the next we're waiting for an x-ray and casting.
how did he manage that?
Hi stidg... I made northern beans and ham last night
yaa for jilly!!
Congrats jilly!!
We do have similar tastes, smores.
Ouch stidg...what happened?
WooHoo Jilly :) wtg
is there a diff tween northern beans and southern bean?? can a bean ceceed??
yep :)
lol
Love ham and beans...
Well, southern beans are pintos and northern are from Minnesota.
Of course, Crossy's dinner makes me want to jump in my car and drive north....
with fried potatoes and onions and of course corn bread :)
Okay. Where do we locate the Babblers Drive-in and Resort? I'm thinking near Branson, Missouri.
Ooo, ham, beans, fried potatoes and corn bread. Now THAT is a good meal.
LOL...pretty central for everyone in NA
haha...sounds good stidg
my dog is enjoying the bone now :)
And there are adequate motels and entertainment (as if we need more than conversation!)
we should set it up in niagra fallsus/can that way we can cater to all babblers and us northern babblers will not have to drive for 2 days to eat :))
i wish i could handle food right now, but migraines and cooking don't mix
Well, must run to store to even be able to forage for dinner...bye all *poof*
nah...good food, good company that'll do
Now that is a good suggestion, Crossy. Niagra Falls area could certainly use the tourist business.
awww....sorry pipping..migraines such
by jilly.
*suck even
Bye Jilly....enjoy
So sorry pippingeek...*place moist cool cloth on Pipping's forehead* Feel better soon!!
yup,set up the place half on the us and half on canada, that way we can set up tables so we do not have to play around with passports
*repoof*
thanks jilly, have a good night
lol...crossy
and you're in charge of breakfast :D
lol,i can see me pushing a bottle of my famouse bacon infused vodka across the line and onto us soil with a broom hehe
oh,not to worry, crossy can do breffast for 2 or 22
LOL...we'll just bring long straws
hey all
Hi stid
just logging in -- worth trying this one?
howdy stidmama:)
short and not so sweet
it is a tad tricky but one worth trying
it is not one you will bang off in 15 min..well i did not anyways
hi stid
hmmmm. I guess I can give it a try. :-)
it was faster than normal for me but that's because monkey typing works best with 4 letter words, even if they are babblets
stid and stidg are in the grid :)
hi folks
hi welki
hey welki!
Heya welki :)
reading back, i wish we could organize and arrange a BIG babble get-together
that would be wonderful :)
hehe...maybe I
if this was an RV forum, it'd be a piece of cake *lol*
buy a lotto tomorrow
LOL welki!
hmmm...that was weird
how're you holding up, stid? i think you're putting a brave face on in FB - you must be friggin' exhausted
Hi mama. Just finished playing games with Murphy. He is feeling pretty good with his new ear medicine.
sy4....really?
very silly word
never heard of that sy 4 smores.
me either....appartently an obsolete coin replaced by the Franc
Good morning all - or evening ;)
hi liz
oops...sorry it replaced the franc in Guinea in 1972
Hm! Just found that coin!
Morning Liz
Hi liz. I was sorry when the franc became obsolite (s0.)
hey mother! sorry, watching some tv with tom and grant and a friend.
it was an exhausting day today, don't know that I am being all that brave though welki! I cuss an awful lot these days
hi all!
cussing can be very therapeutic, stid :-)
:)
:-) thanks sue
I think I'd do more than cuss if I were in your position, stud.
Mother, thanks again for your help today. We were there until three all told, and still not quite "finished" but we had to be done so the guys could go home.
how's life on your side of the world, liz? getting chilly yet?
Cooling down - had to use a duvet on the bed last night!
Can't really call it chilly though!
Hope spring is raising its head up there.
Nothing like being cozy at night.
starting to, liz -- I took some pics today of the garden but don't yet know how to offload from the new camera
It's odd though when you've been sleeping with a sheet, when you suddenly realise that the reason you can't sleep is because you're not quite warm enough.
suze!! do you and frank have your telescope all set for the 22nd of this month? not that you will need it as much of it will be perfect visible to the naked eye:))
I love spring in the UK - the freshness of the colours.
still, it's lovely to see trillium (local native li4 plant) and peach and pear blossoms on the trees at last
don't have a telescope, crossy, but if it's clear we'll be looking
Hope you do manage to post some pics.
I am going to try liz -- tonight or tomorrow. I don't have anything scheduled tomorrow so can stay up later tonight and sleep in....
A luxury you deserve after with all the stuff you've got going on.
so my doctor's office called today, they want me to come back for more pictures after my mammogram yesterday - probably all is well but it is worrying
*refocuses on sue* ((((((((SUE)))))))
Hugs Sue and sending lots of hopes your way :)
i hate those recalls. gives you just enough time to develop an anxiety disorder
wonders if maybe the pics were just SOOOOOO pretty they wanted more?
thanks, liz and stid! as I say probably all is well, but my fingernails will probably be well-chewed between now and next Thursday
hahaha, pretty funny, stid :-)
I was looking at my calendar and notice Thursday so far is empty.
These last 13 words are proving totally challenging :(
Having said that, just found another 3! Finally down to 10.
go Liz!
I think 10 is becoming the new 13!
Lunging into the li words.
Can't find the first li!!!!!
Got it!

Yay stidg :)

WTG stidg :)
Yes - just before you! So both hemispheres fireworked.
Difficult grid for only being 77 words. Good for you liz!!!
I also thought it difficult but a lot of people said how easy it was.
LOL...worldwide fireworks...WooHoo !!
Is this amazing to visit instantly across the world? We are soooo lucky.
thanks smores!
yw :)
All for now best wishes for lovely days.
Enjoy your evenings everyone. Time to make up some granola!
Bye....enjoy stidg, liz :)
sweet deams mother
can i get a clue for the sl 5/16 please?

woohoo...done!
way to go pen!!! congrats!
I am heading out, too -- too many people and tasks demanding my attention. Back another time. *poof*
thanks everyone! heading out...goodnight all!
May I please have a clue for any li words? Thanks
li4/6 a flower
Thanks much, tor.
li5/14 is a fatty particle in the body
Thanks Molly, still looking.
li4 & 5 = melody & pl.
li5/14...you have 2 of these outside your mouth (you put gloss on them) + abbreviation for your driver's license.
Gosh, thanks much, Molly and tor.
lipit
Sorry.
almost, peach! :-)
and hi again all!
Thanks much, sue. How are you and Frank doing?
we are ok, peach, he's a little better since he got a shot to control the "runs" yesterday.
I have to go back for follow-up mammogram studies next week, so I am chewing my fingernails about that :-(
Bless him!
Sending positive energy to both of you.
thanks, peach!
Sue, do you know what they gave him a shot of? I know someone who is having chemotherapy and is having similar GI trouble.
must find food. brb
let me look it up, Molly, hang on...
Here it is: octreotide
it was a fairly painful shot but seems to be working
Thanks Sue, I will pass that along.
evening all!
hi dan!
I'm back. Waffles and all.
Hi there, dan.
Hi there, dan.

Thanks guys! The first finished grid in probably over 2 years! YEAH!
li5/12 is in my physics babblets list (which is way down in my profile now); it's similar to radar
and now....unless someone needs a hint....it's bedtime for bonzo.....
FW Thanks for all the help. Guess I'll watch a rerun of Downton Abbey. See y'all at the flip.
nighty night.
yay peach!

P's Piled! 3 left
Hello Book Doctor Gwen! How are you?Welcome to the grid
doin' okay but feeling listless (no pun intended)
