*settles in for a chat* how are you, sweetie?
rose! *hugs* Having some trouble keeping depression at bay, but otherwise good. And you?
going great, hun. paid out a small fortune for shoes with cushioning in the heels, to soften impact when walking at work. they are worth every cent.
YOU are worth every cent. WTG on the shoes. Good decision, rose.
oh, oh, forgot, i actually ran the other day at work....we had an emergency, and i just grabbed the resus cart and ran to the theatre. was gob-smacked when i realised what i had done.lol
omg! Woweeeee! Who'd have thought you could? Amazing :)
awww, not good about depression, hun. are you getting enough sun-shine at the moment?
yeah, finally sun here :) Might be a bit late for the depression, it sure was late calendar-wise. And there are some triggers active for the depression atm. So at least I understand what is happening ;)
i reckon we are all half chooks. they need sunlight on their retinas to lay eggs, we need sunlight on our retinas to help stay even-tempered, if you know what i mean.
too true! P-p-p-pock-pooooock!
hmmmm, sprite....in my anatrin, which i take for fibromyalgia, is an ingredient called 5-HTP. this is what i don't produce. 5-HTP is the precurser for serotonin, which i know you know is our mood stabiliser.
i wonder if you could get just that on it's own anywhere. i know it stops me from spemding most of my days in a howling heap in the corner.
yeah. I have antideps for that... mirtazapine and ... and....
mind you, if you were to ask himself, he would say rose is very unstable...lol
citalopran, that is the one.
they have no freakin' idea what unstable is, lol
lol, sprite, so true.....he has never seen me lose total control yet, and i hope he never will.
same here, grin. That would be the day.
clothes all dry, off to bed now, 35 for tomorrow
goodnight all
night night, flosey, happy dreams
hey, how about a play date, where we both lose control....
night, flosey, hope you have a sweet sleep
lol, can I join?
*wants to play with little rose*
of course, flosey!
the more the sadder, flosey. we can throw foam balls at one another
ty, off to bed now
but you have to supply your own tissues...
*brings rubber chickens*
Howdy to all you out there!
hi puglet
if we can't recu4, what is it that makes the hairdresser so rich?
hey puglet....lol, spritey. not rubber walls?????
that would be a good idea, rose. Rubber walls, rubber ducks, foam balls... lots of tissues... we are set.
yup.....now how to bring it all about.....can we wait a few years??? until my inheritance comes in?
sure :)
sounds like you are gathering items for a magic act--lal
it would be magic :)
btw, himself and i went to the old family home, picked up my grandma's singer treadle sewing machine. it was all in bits, as my darling dad died before he could put it back together. he was restoring it for me
oh wow... worth restoring still. Those were the best ever.
well.....my clever husband has worked it out, and the machine is all in one piece, looking rather lovely in my loungeroom
awesome, rose!
how wonderful--Im glad for you
it works a dream. i le5ed to sew on it, and made all the clothes for my eldest on it, until he was 3 years old.
they are so strong. Real workers.
it has lots of wooden cu4y bits, and the machine itself is inlaid with mother-of-pearl.
dear old grandpa would have only bought the best for his beloved ella
sounds like a happy memory to have in the living room, rose
will eventually put it in the entrance hall, by the front door.
lounge room, sorry
place of honour, that is :)
sprite, the two names are pretty much interchangeable in ozland. we do a lot of living in our loungerooms. ;)
ok :D
oh, good, i made spritey smile.
*sigh* my job is done...lol
you sure did. Thanks dear one :)
lovely and quiet here at home. mother mac has gone into respite for a week. did i tell you what don did? he gave her a wireless doorbell to press anytime she needs him.
that is smart!
he now regrets it, as she is on it every 1/2 hour....and when he goes into her, she has about 1/2 hour's worth of 'things' for him to do. poor man...he swears she sits there trying to work out what she wants him to do...
lololllll yep, smart mother mac. He will have to draw the line somewhere.
so long as he does not expect me to run up and down to her it's okay...
well he may even expect. As long as he doesn't get it!
i think it might disappear during this bout of respite. *giggle* "well, where did you leave it, mum?"
lolollllll
naughty aren't i? her short term memory is so bad.
yeah well, you both are doing wonders for her. I think it is healthy you keep it within reasonable boundaries.
so, is the sun shining over there yet today?
too bad you cant get a robot to answer her bell
oh i have, his name is don....lol
it is! Sunny and warm, a spring day. Am gonna do some gardening today and I am gonna walk Terra. How's that for good intentions!
lol puglet
hi and nbt
or darling, or sweetheart....or hey you.....
hi josh
hey josh, nice job
we had ran all day yesterday and it was cold and windy too- Today partly rain but up to 70
argh, how unpleasant, puglet
Hi Josh
ugh, puglet. not nice
I know!
granny's advice to her beloved spritey. get out of doors, sweetie. feel the sunshine and breeze on your skin, and revel in it
what about you Rose? How was your weather
will do, rose, promise.
pretty nice, thanx puglet. typical autmn/fall day, brilliant sunshine, and a nip in the air. how long that japanese person is going to stay in the air, is anybodies guess. lol
went out for morning coffee and lunch with a dear friend. sat in the sunshine, and solved all the world's problems.
sounds lovely
spritey, make sure no-one is watching, and do a little dance for me, hun.
that sounds realy nice Rose
a sun dance, rose :)
fireflies. Short and sweet today. Am gonna love and leave you guys... thanks so much for the company. Am feeling better now :) *hugs*
i won 2nd prize in my church raffle, a huge basket filled with all sorts of choclits. like i need them....i immediately emptied one box out onto the morning tea table, to share with all. am planning on taking the other packets/boxes over the next few sundays
WTG SPRITE!!!!
woooot rose, nice prize! I'll be around to pick up some of that ;)
bye Sprite--God Bless
go and enjoy the beautiful day, my love.
that was nice Rose
puglet, i would take them to work, but they are a lot of selfish gits. ( a few aren't) and they spoil it for the rest.
that too bad but I know what you mean
I got to go to the courthouse today to get our taxes straighten up. Somehow they got the wronge address and so on
i 'donate' a bag of candy every week, leave it out for all to have some, by the end of the first day, the whole kilo(2 pounds) of it has gone.
OH MY!!!
yuck, puglet. not a nice way to spend your day. hope you can sort it out as quickly as possible, hun. i just hate red tape.
are you the only one that donates
not to mention the 4 boxes of Tic Tacs....but i put them away when i leave
yeah I know---Ive only lived here for thirty years--lal
yes, puglet. there are jellybeans, which the unit pays for, as well.
but my guess is, if you are just standing more or less in the one spot for hours on end, you would probably feel entitled to a treat or two when you can finally move around.
Rose, I couldnt resist - I found a clearence sale on some purple smoke trees(3$ ea) and I bought 3 --now I dont know where to put them--lal
ummm, how about my front yard????
I would share with you if I could
I also bought a flowering cabbage and kale plant---never have had either--but I seen some last year in someone's yard and wanted to try them once
puglet, the trees look rather large, do you have the room for them?
but according to google, ebay has them for just under $3. so what yopu have is a bargain
*you*
I live on an acrea here but I got 12 acres over on the next road that we use as a small camping area--so I got room its just where
they grow to 10-15 feet tall, hun
just don't plant them under any power lines, okay?
ok I wont---Have you ever grown the flowering cabbage and kale
no, i haven't, but they look really interesting. i think you would have to provide them with similar conditions to the vegetables.
thats how I was going plant and care for them---the tag gives very little imfo
Im not sure how big they get though--the ones I seen last year were pretty good size
puglet, try looking up how to care for the vegetables, and i think you will have a pretty good idea on how to take care of the flowering versions.
okay Rose I will.--Hubby just brought in our first newly hatched chick--its so cute
the 'tips for growing ornamental cabbage' site says they are low growing. see if you can access it.
awww, puglet, what a thrill!!!
Thank you --I will
we got 11 more to go
I love watching the hens with their chicks
lol, just threw my beloved a wobbly....i asked him why, if we have full comprehensive insurance through a private insurance company, why do we still have to pay third party insurance when we re-register our cars?
and did he have an answer for you on that
nope, the jury is still out...i wonder if the fact his eye-balls are spinning in their sockets has anything to do with it?
lol
Man it just started pouring! another wet day I guess
Rose I bet you are a real corker--lal
lol, puglet. don't you ever do that to your beloved...i just love the completely blank expression which crosses their face.
giggles--I bet you do Rose
ugh, puglet.....oh, well, mayhap the rain is welcome? spare a thought for us.....we have had another very dry summer
puglet, cu4 up with a favourite or a new book, and blissfully slide away into another world....works for me.
I like the rain myself--the last 2 summers we have had droughts so its really a blessing
got it --thanks
so you are in fall as we are in spring--is that right
yeah, puglet, we are on the same wave-length....i like the rain, but must have some sunshine in between.
yes, hun.
I agree on the sunshine--its like a smile or wrapped in the arms of the one above
Iam not a hot weather person at all--as I burn very easily
ohhhh, puglet, you don't know how close you are to my heart, hun
Iam always hot and hubby is always cold-lal
Rose have you ever read the book "The
Shack? (sorry hit the wrong button)
no, will look for it...fiction or fact?
fiction--but its so good--or it was to me
its about a man that encounters the lord
I use to read ALOT but dont do so as much now--But I do love a good story
ahhh, will definitely look for it, do you remember the author?
sorry but I dont
It was very popular here so you shouldnt have any trouble finding it
they had several sites on the computer with talking to others about it
have you ever read 'dear and beloved physician' by taylor caldwell? it's the story of st luke...part fiction, part fact...absolutely fascinating.
Rose Im sorry if I talk too much-hope Im not putting you out
no I havent but I will try to find it
no way, puglet, but perhaps you need some peace
from me....
I do feel peaceful talking here--thank you
please excuse me for a few--need to refill cup
okay, hun. if i'm not here when you return, it means dinner is ready....
well Im back
still here for a few....how are you doing with the grid?
not bad--I need 82 more
if i quit doing this and that Ide be father along--lol
yay, puglet...the first 100 are relatively easy, hun
Im going to go to amazon after i get off of this and find that book you gave me
I go back and forth to this throughout the day
we had good results on my sisters sugar at the doc.--Ive been working on getting the insulant dossage down and we've made progress
good for you, puglet. dinner ready, hun. hope your day is wonderful. should be with start....first chick and all.
keep plugging at it, puglet....hope it continues to go well. hope your sis finds some peace.
thaks and you take care as well--God Bless
god bless, puglet. night
night Rose

Jeeze, it's like vowel city in here lately.
got nbt need the 8 still...stats please
re8/45
Definately
thanks Molly...looking
Ends in garden insect pest.
Got it...thanks Molly, zooz :)
My brain had an Inigo Montoya moment when I looked up that word. "I do not think it means what you think it means."
:-)
hmm..nope, not what I thought at all
But pusillanimous was a good find in the definition. : D
odd meaning though with the Latin crēdere to believe
:D
Yeah, well there is no figuring Middle English (whatever that is)
brb...must replace my coffee..ugh
ahh..much better
First cup was a no go?
yep..tried almond milk instead of half and half..yuck
: S
I have to ask, what does one keep almond milk around for?
the couple I was assisting last week gave me a 1/2 gallon of it along with some other item they can no longer have
it's okay plain, my daughter likes it...especially with a squirt of chocolate :)
Ah, it's "a healthy alternative to animal and soy milks". No wonder I've never heard of it. : D
:)
I have ze4,ze5,ze4,zo4,zo5..any clues for the last Z please?
Yes, thankfully I am not lactose intolerant
ze6/33
Thanks.looking...
Ends with a Gramma name
stupid word...even more ignorant meaning
Wonderful clue,Molly..thank you.
hehe...rhymes with what I'm eating right now
Watch it Smores. The Babble Police are going to come and take you away. : P
Teehee..had one of those this morning also.
just call 'em like I see 'em Molly
I have to force myself to eat those. The flavor and the texture really gross me out.
really?? I love them
No way..i love them.
Most people do. Lilliann and I are the loners when it comes to those things.
they are another item that was given to me
She doesn't like them and he can't have them anymore
Odd...so many wonderful healthy foods can't be consumed if you're on dialysis
hmm..did I spell that right?
yep...just looked wrong :)
Even i had to google..just make sure..lol
:)
I don't know, if this cool weather keeps up, there isn't going to be any swimming on Memorial Day weekend. : (
I feel bad for him....he had just adjusted to his diabetic/lactose free diet and now has to cut out even more
Surely it wil be warm by then
No sugar, no dairy, all the joy sucked right out of eating.
now no bananas, tomatoes, nuts...
Yeah, but it takes a good two weeks to warm up the pool water.
that's true...wasn't thinking about that
BRB...gotta make sure my daughters getting ready
does the re 8 work off the word b for it plz?
No, Ivesy.
ok ty. will stop trying those lol
Good day, kiddoes!
Hello, Scrabs.
I only have a few minutes now as I hit the snooze alarm too many times.
I didn't read Ivesy's post right and was trying to figure out where there was a b in the grid. : )
re8 first three letters for vinyl (music)..+ cons + vowel + insect pest.
lol.. forgot the for after b(for) ..my new glasses arent helping me
ty zoo!
Hi ivesy, Scrabbler :)
Scrabs..i always used to do that..in the end..i had to change the alarm clock to one that did not have a snooze option.
and good morning .and with my new glasses i now look like harry potter, haircut and all
But then I would turn the alarm off and fall back to sleep.
Yay ivesy
I unfortunately wake up long before my alarm
lol... ivesy
Teehee..what are you like :-), Scrabs
I often awaken before the alarm...depends on the night/morning.
alarm is set for 6:15 I'm almost always up by 5
OK, time to shower and get to work. BBL.
Bye Scrabbs...enjoy your day :)
Take care, Scrabs.
I better get ready too..be back tonight to finsh
have a great day everyone :)
And you, Smores :-)

ec 4/6
of course, ty car
how is un+cr6/21 not a word? :(
unbaskets?
I don't think you can undo a sharp fold in trousers.
Apparently the past tense is a word though.
I guess I think of cr6/21s as wrinkles
Eek, don't tell that to the military folks. They work hard to get nice, crisp cr6s. : D
lol
Morning all. Stats for the U in second column, please?
I don't have it yet, Bea. :(
good morning all - don't have it yet either
hi teach!
hello mael
un4/6 - un + two vowels last one same as the first

How's my favorite wolf today?
doing fine and in good howling voice:)
great!
and how are my favorite ladies today?
not bad, actually.
pretty good, have an unpleasant personnel meeting this afternoon but maybe that will clear some things up
well, best to get those type of meetings done and out of the way asap
grit your tetth Sue.
um..teeth
Indeed. And we have two candidates for the chair position coming in next week, so I hope I can finally really retire at the end of June!
yaaa!!
and when is the big day for you and frank?
YAY!! for retirement!!
dunno yet, crossy, we meet with the minister tomorrow, but some time in the next 3 weeks
congrats, Sue
:)
very good indeed;)))
I will let you all know, of course!
very nice
yes, we want to hear!
i know that in this day and age a couple can just live together for 60 years and that is fine, but a wedding creates or seems to crate in my mind a stronger bond..mm,how do i say this,a deeper union,a closer bonding of those who wish to join and become one and share life together.my 20th is this october;))
good for you, crossy!
congrats Crossy
must go.
great day to all of you!!
tc,hego
+ a wedding allows for sharing health benefits, of great importance. Best wishes Sue and hi everyone
bye, hego!
ahh yes, that is def a plus in the states.i keep forgetting about that as it does not matter here.everyone from the cradle to the grave has a provincial health card here
yes, that is my primary motivation for hurrying it along
and hi dorens!
don't see how you can forget it crossy, it is so often a topic of conversation here. and elsewhere! hopefully we will get it straight. or, straighter at least
well, some are trying to help, but we shall see.we are staggered there is so much resistance to it
seems we have resistance to everything these days. I mean, if Congress can't even agree to background checks before buying guns...................?
my big laugh is the birthers were all over obama for his i.d yet when wating id to fuy a lethal weapon they lose their minds
buy
agreed
but you all know my thought on u.s gun"control" and will not rehash it now
an6/21?
my brother who livesd in san antoni and is now in nevada tells me byuing a handgun and getting permits to carry and carry concealed is about as tough as supersizing your fries at McDonalds
Illinois is the only state that doesn't allow concealed carry, and has just been told by the supreme court that we have to allow it :-(
well, you better or the rest will just shoot you:))
anyway I must go, see you all later!
you know how tough, how nearly impossibe it is to get a permit to carry here? nevermind carry concealed??
tc ,suze

Hi teach---found the monkey related word but what is its meaning?
ZE 6 - Hindi word meaning noun (in India) 1. the part of the house in which the women and girls of a family are secluded.
If you click on the ? in front of the word, it takes you to it's definition.
Thank you both very much for the imfo

must do some work too. back later.
Take care JMC. Best to you.
bye hego
bye all. . . .
Good afternoon.
Hello kaplan, how are you?
I am full of free-floating anxietyt
Doesn't sound like much fun...
I have too much to do and we are going to Italy for a week and then to Israel to my in-laws and I am generally a nervous wreck about all kinds of things. And my back hurts.
The short answer is "Fine, and how are you?"
But you asked.
and this grid is nasty.
LOL...how often we answer that way when our lives are in turmoil.
your upcoming travels sounds like a great trip...
Of course, just the thought of flying would send me to the Valium!
This grid is a pain!
I can't find a comfortable position to sit in. The italy part is great, but I am going to israel for the first time in 35 years and Israel decides to do an airstrike against Syria.
Seriously?
VCouldn't htey wait a few weeks?
This whole world situation is pretty frightening.
I am taking it very personally. Time for an ativan.
But I suppose, with the alleged warheads being able to hold chemical warfare, I guess I cannot fault Israel...
I know. The cvountry goes on high alert because I'm going to be there?
But Syria will strike back.
LOL
Thewy are waiting for ME.
My concern too...an eye for an eye....
I know, right?
Just for you...
I am a wreck.
*boing* finally found the 8!
Wish I could help...
I was a wreck anyway for general OCD principles but this is putting me over the top.
I'm fine, really.
I only have one U. How pathetic is that?
Well, I am very sorry for the added stress of all of this for you..
:)
I have 4 u words...but been at this a good 45 minutes..
I have 3. This is ridiculous. I killed the chog.
hi everyone!
Hi dawg...
You did not kill the chog kaplan...it was quiet until you signed in,,,
hi Jilly, nice weather again!
BAsking in it!
Finally, nbt/nbs
wtg, Jilly.
This grid! grrrr, may have to be happy with high point words today...
it is a tough one.
It is almost half vowels, that is always a harbinger of yuck.
Hello molly, I agree, logged on, saw it was a small one..should have checked the content first. :-(
does the 8 build off the barely cooked word?
Don't think so...
it's re/8
oh wait, it's re---could be why i can't find it! lol
That would do it...I have so few re words that I was unsure about your question
It starts off from the last column r
Taking a break....bbl
later, Jilly
hello everyone :)
hi Nan
bbl to finish.
howdy my babble friends:))
Hi, I finally started this monsterand I cannot see an7,a clue please
stuck on those middle cr's between the bird and the hag
hi nan... I'm not listing, but I have a cr 5/12 and cr 6/21, if you'd like a hint
Annie, it's a pl, woman's name+man's name..they share middle vowel
an 6 and plural: an + homonym for Mr. Armstrong
cyber, folllow the bird with the basket of a fisherman
Share middle CONSONANT annie, sorry
ty jilly - just need the one immediately after the bird now
*Grabs basket, follows bird, looks for fish*
got it, jilly
don't have that one yet
Jill, someone told me today that they were considering the HCG diet, but that the shots were too expensive. True or false?
Not cheap....around $200 for 27 days
not the fish, molly - the fish basket
Nan, are you looking for the sharply ironed fold in pants?
The Food and Drug Administration has not approved the use of hCG for dieting (or any reason other than fertility), but you can still get it with a prescription from your doctor. Since insurance doesn't cover the hCG diet, it can get pretty expensive. A visit for your initial consultation may cost you around $150, and then you'll probably have to have to pay about $10 for each injection on top of that. Some versions of the diet also encourage the use of appetite suppressants, including daily injections of stimulants, such as phentermine. If you're going to add these to your regimen, you'll have to factor in the price of them as well. Then, of course, you'll have to pay for any follow-up visits. And if you don't lose sufficient weight when you do the diet, after a six-week rest period your doctor might recommend you do it all over again
yes - ty molly
<---Was joking about fish, basket and bird : D
Oh thank you molly, didn't even try an e.
kept trying the a
first cu 6, please?
only have one -- dart poison
we've had that before, I think, but don't remember it
cu + opp of common
I used vit B12 for mine, and my consultation with a naturopath was free if I bought the injections.
The medical docs around here won't do it...
oh - have that one une - there is a 6-7 that precedes it
uses only the a cyber
change final vowel
brb...
Hello all. Jilly, I'm loving your photos of San Fran. My favourite city!

Hello all...back for the last 24 after a yummy grilled pizza dinner....
Sounds good, Jj
Am stuffed...used pesto as base then had chicken, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms and cheese...
The ads for medication on television crack me up. The 5 minute list of side effects (including death) are such a big motivator to take them. Not.
As is the warning that if "it" lasts more than 4 hours to seek emergent help...
Hello all. Just started later than usual but finding a few words.
I'd love to be working triage when one of those comes in.
It is a vowel nightmare stidg...
Hi Gran Mere.
Hi Molly. I see what you mean jilly. The a's have it!

Hi bugs. Pkg has arrived. Still not in stidmama's hands. If we only hand a brain but no one around here seems to be able to figure out cause and effect. It will get to her tomorrow or my name isn't . . .oh whatever.
Hello bugs
hello everyone. coming out of lurk mode for the moment. I am loving this heat wave we are having so I keep running outside until I can't stand it any more
Glad the package arrived Gmere. No hurry to get it to her
We sat outside in our pergola this afternoon sipping rootbeer and watching the clematis flowers opening (really.)
Ru, so disappointed you changed your icon. I ♥ Jun Matsumoto. : D
how lovely. I used to like watching some kind of beautiful yellow flower that actually popped when it opened. Can't think of the name
All for now as the chicken is cooked and mashed potatoes ready. Talk to you later.
Bye stidg!

what is ethical origin?
Hi again :)
hi smores!
howdy, folks
hiya welki
guess i'm officially canadian. was 27C here today - that amounts to 80.6F - a/c is on
too warm too soon! we were in the mid 70's today.
that said, it's too early to put flowers in, too early to hang baskets on the porch, to early to leave the water on in the RV
mountains are still completely white
It is SO weird isn't it welki!
yep - no flooding this spring (which is unusual). once the melt starts, all hell will break loose.
we've not had much rain this spring - any precipitation/run off will just flow over the dry surface
hello all
we have had lots of cold and overcast skies. Sunshine is so therapeutic
hey penquis
Hiya welki...it is beautiful here, darest I start planting flowers....
Hi penquis
bugs, calgary has the honor of being the 'sunniest city in canada' - i love the coast, but after so many years here, don't know if i could cope with months of overcast skies
(although my skin would love it)
still a bit early to be planting anything. however, weeding is high on Hubz list of things to do outsdie.
Till the garden...clean out beds...egads...maybe winter isn't so bad...
lol
Good night all. Murphy wants to play his games.
