well, if that board from a few days ago was close to the easiest, this definitely topped that one
(of the ones I've been around for)
Just got back from a trip to Mammoth Cave today
wow -- went there on a school trip decades ago LOL
fireworks
Five hours driving each way, three hours of walking in between - whew...
saving last 8 for later (yay dee!) *poof*

I missed the 272 - wish this 38 had been the one for Sunday instead!
agree grem!
FWs
wtg diz
ty, easy for a small grid
phantom tequila, which often appears together with the al7
FW. Not what doI do for the rest of the day?
Here I go again, missing the flip and half asleep. Hi all and thanks Lickety. Is this a tiny record or was it 35?
Off til the flip! Have a great day / eve all! Congrats ARB.
wow arb!
done--- see you all tomorrow at the Flip
and ty gram for my first word (al7)
wtg dr
hello
*grem (typo time already)
hi m9
ty Jilli
I'm a little young to be your gramma!
so is everyone here, grem, lol!
hey all -- a tad on the smallish side?
yeah. I was late and only have 5 left!
hello everyone. I am kind of glad it is a little one
hi stid
(((bugs))) how are you today? it's really wet here
hey m!
A quite unusual separation of vowels from consonants
down to 24 already. so far mostly babblets and real words
It was really raining hard driving through Indiana on my way back tonight; I had a hard time seeing the lanes sometimes
stid, you're a fast woman.
hi everyone
it is really wet here too stid but I had fun playing with little girls today. 5 months and 2 years. good for the soul
Ohhh, I need a baby fix@
nice! :-D glad you had a good time!
hi flosey !
hi Bugsy
LOL Jill! you know it! *big theatrical mama wink*
hey flosey!
fw
nothing better than a baby snuggled into your neck
Yes. Can't wait til December!!
Aiden is having #2
WOW!
She miscarried, but this one is going well
miscarriages are horrible. I am so sad for he
so sorry she lost one, m. that's a sad.
Yes they are! Luckily it was very early on
I've had 5, most NOT early.. so I'm VERY grateful that she's doing well now
even sadder for you m9. I lost mine early and it helped but you are still haunted by it
hi stid, sorry, not watching chat
it's okay flosey a fast grid doesn't leave much time for frivolities like chogs...
Yes. Gage certainly makes up for it in many ways :-)
I didn't even need lickety for this one!LOL And only had to look at morewords a couple times.
down to 6...
I just wish Levi were closer! :-(
Go stid!
hi bugs and flosey (I left for a minute to check an email)
I only have 12 words -- no hurry.
go jill go!
how's the garden, jill?
Last saw him on March 16th in person.
Anyone wanna see pics?LOL
The garden is growing but rabbits or something are getting into it. My Little Darling rose shoots got eaten even though the places is thoroughly fenced. Great new gardener guy had put a little exta fence around it and several other plants.
good night ladies. I am blind to words now so must be off. Have fun Babbling
sweet dreams, bugs!
night bugsy
*has put a little fence...
gnight bugs
nite bugs
I am glad your new gardener is working on the issue, sorry you had trouble with hungry critters.
I would like to garden, but I'm so terrible at it
I didn't know they ate rose shoots
deer eat everything related to apples and roses, and most of everything else, given the chance!
they'll eat almost anything sweet and tender
this guy is fabulous -- knows all about all plants and what they like, plus not expensive and very pleasant and reliable.
hubby had to add extra fencing beneath the soil
that was for the rabbits
we're having a rabbit plague here in the last couple of years -- never before.
I haven't been home enough to know how our little neighborhood fox family is doing, but I suspect they are not as thin as they used to be. Mother has rabbits all over her yard.
and it will only get worse if people don't do something about it
You mean they're breeding like...well...rabbits?
LOL m!
for sure m9 - 1 rabbit can have an average of 6 litters in a year - with 6 - 8 babies
what do do about it? My mother's Ausralian cousin introduced myxomatosis there -- see http://www.csiro.au/en/Outcomes/Safegu\narding-Australia/Myxomatosis.aspx
WOW. I saw cute little cotton tails at the river a week or so ago
But we also have a lot of hawks and eagles in that area...
oops -- sorry about the long URL messing up the chog.
down to TWO!!!!!
wtg stid
ONE.
and it's the 7. I will leave it for the morning when I might be able to see it without clues.
(((hugs and choclits for all))) and fresh artichokes from the garden if you like!
2 here and I can't find the 7
I'll try to stop in more often over the next couple of weeks.
*poof*
gnight stid and do come back
phant -- sacred
I have the 7 -- it was my first word, clued by grem at almost fliptime
I'll look back
but I dom
but I don't have the 6!
no idea what goes with tequila
jilli, to6 add to to4 - 5 - 6
ty flosey -- nbs

What a grid!!!! Never seen one like this!
And hi to anyone still here!!!
It was my fastest finish (somewhere between 2-3 minutes, I think).

famous boxer + cie a line in a book but drop last letter

Happy short babbling to all who follow ;)
Clues for ed4/6 and ed5/18 anyone please? :)

Hello, All :-)
Ah thank you :D
ed5, past tense of ed4/7
hey ya zooz
Ha so obvious now, thank you again.
Have you started seated duties yet, Rose?
today was the first day, zooz. have come brain-dead. lol. i hate bookwork.
lol bless you..i am sure you will get used to it after a short while :-)
have just spent 9 hours auditing theatre and drug registers. aaahhhh!!!! someone save my sanity. and preserve me from the stupidity and laziness of my fellow workers.
zooz, not intending to get used to it, will hopefully be cleared for full duties next friday.
Eww nine hours is a rather long time i must admit..you will need to retire early tonight to let the brain cells rechargeed.
Well lets hope you heal nice & quick then , rose!
od4,5, please
od**r what can the matter be (rhyme)
Crap clue..but hoping you know the ryhme.
Thank you, work like a charm!
kitty it's actually the latin plural of odium.
YaY
or is that odeum???
yup, odeum
I am sure you were right the first time ,Rose...well it looks like at least lol
Ahh well there you go :-)
nice having a dictionary like mine, has all sorts of weird words in it.
good morning
{{rose}}
it's an encyclopaedic dictionary. so it's entries give you background information on words.
Hello, Ruby :-)
{{zoozz}}
So does the Enable dictionary, Rose lol
{{{ruby}}} my dearest girl, how are you this morning/eve?
that kind of dictionary is fun to read )rudey jumping in)
The is brilliant sunshine but it's still only 8C. I think there'll be no fruit or very many flowers this year.
There*
Well it has been nice & warm yesterday will be the same again today...so you might get that, Ruby!
awww, give it time, sweetie. before you know it, you will be bragging about the daffodils and jonquils in your garden.
we had our daffs in Aprill but the iris are just shriveling up withut opening -- sae for most of the flowers which would be open by now
rose do you get Nurse Jacie there? You would love it!
no nurse jacie here. and such a pity about the irises.
my friend divided hers and gave me some two years ago, but I a yet to see any flowers
<__ can't type this AM
is this the smallest grid ever?
No i think there was one about the size of 27.
I'm glad I missed that one I hope you're right about the weather zoozz; I could certainly use some sunshine
It is beautiful, Ruby..lifts the spirit up..hope it comes over to you..so you can enjoy your garden more :-)
This grid is very easy so far.
like i have said so often before...we are all half chooks, need sunlight on our retinas to perform...
So true, Rose...I always feel so much better on a sunny day!
well so long as you don't start laying eggs...
hmmm, male chook....laying eggs not on the cards
Teehee..what are you like, ((Rose))
*giggle*

I am always doing that, Rose..lol

Well i am off to enjoy the sunshine while it lasts..lovely to talk to you, Rose & Ruby...take care..have a goodnight, rose, a lovely day,Ruby...bye for now.

I like th sound of firend -- like the old days
to5/16, to5/14, to 5/16

ruby, to5 normal plural, to5 latin plural, to5 a type of hat
I am randomly typing every combo I can think of for to, but coming up dry

THANK YOU, ROSE, FOR CARRYING ME ACROSS TO ONE OF MY VERY FEW FW'S
I wAS LOOKING FOR TOPEE
See yu lter and will try to write if the sunshine lifts my poopy mood
WTG RUBY!!!! gasp, pant, went blue holding my breath...lol
love you hun. hang onto that...you are one of my bestest firends.
something funny, when I affectionately called the local restauranteur's dog poopy (as I call mine allthe time), hethought I was saying puppy and called an English-speaking friend that, which was met with big laughter
{{bye, Rosie}} *woof*
*giggle* very funny. have a lovely day, my firend
I am so happy to be not on an airplane and to be home
so all you can give me is a 38 word grid???
so how come you call your dog poopy and not puppy anyway?
I'm back for 2 minutes and I kill the chog???
a 15/20 minute grid means fewer around to chat
bummer. I have to wait for the americans to wake up
I am awake and finished .... going to tell the owner I do not think I got my money's worth today
de
non-Americans: need verification (finished early, randomly checking definitions since I use a lot of little ones I don't really know): ge4/7 (before the rock) was indeed a direction for a pack animal, but if I'd trained the mule, it would answer by going right -- one of the definitions said it was "to the left" in Europe. Whaddya know?
I have jetlag anyway but your question made it worse
sorry, o Magne. I'm sure babbling is JUST the cure for jetlagging. The question is, if your pilot wasn't American, did he come in ge4/7 to the right or to the left?
or she, as the case may be
We did before do circles around Logan
would it be better, then, if we went round clockwise or widdershins?
we circled Boston for 40 minutes before landing at Logan because of where we were in the queue
Now I'm getting the feeling I'm going round in circles with you.
welcome home, anyway.
I am home and that's the main thing.
It is the main thing indeed. I shall save my trivia question for a more off-shore chog. Finish the grid, have a nice warm bath and a soothing drink and pull the cool sheets up over you and sleep well into the holiday.
I'm about to poof off to write a film review of Spark, A Burning Man Story.
gone...
hi all
Hi, jmc! I'm finding this to be a very difficult little grid...just about to give up until later. It's only 4 am here and may try going back to sleep...later, dear.
sounds like a good plan. . .fresh eyes. . .
i am just trying to sneak it in before a long day. . . .
Why a long day?
my last class. . .week long. . . so they give me the degree i walked at graduation for. . .
Ah, I see. I so much miss school. Want to finish my degree as well. Hated stopping after just getting back to it but no choice. Good for you, though!
[blush] this is my third. . .undergrad, law, and now a masters
if you go back i will cheer you on!
A bit of an overachiever, huh?!! That's great. I only have a few classes to finish for my Bachelor's and then want to go on to a Master's. I'm hoping to go back next year. I'll need the support...thanks!
babbleland can be very supportive of these things. . .
not so much an overachiever as a change of directions. . .
The funny thing is I'm already published on original research from the first time I was in school over 30 years ago!
wow!
Good for you keeping your options open...how much of a change are you making?
well it turns out not as much as i thought. . .
i took this master's program in conflict resolution thinking i would end up in international development. . .
but i found clarity that what i was driven to do was to advocate for a better government. . .so i am trying
alright it is time for me to hit the road. . .45 minute drive to class. . .
You know, my field is conflict resolution also....psychology.
but before i go what was the original research?
They are having class on a holiday? I thought maybe you were doing this online.
there is an element of that. . .
well it is a mennonite school and peace churches are not big on celebrating military holidays. . .
It was mother-infant relationships using a group of vervet monkeys. Published with UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute. We got 3 papers out of it.
nice. . .
okay really must toddle off. . .bbl
Funny, I never think of this as a military holiday though I know it is...I think of it as remembering loved ones and friends. OK...bye, dear.
a little of both mimi. . .i personally think about the reporters and activists who gave their lives. . . but i suspect i am alone in that. . .
26 left. . . *poof*
gm, everyone. tadone, finito, 11 minutes and now what to do...*sigh* hagd everyone.
name that proper noun! famous mobster
ahhh! there we go! back to summer routine:) up at 6 am,cup of tea then a brisk 2 mile hike and back just now for some brekkies;)).mmm, grid is tiny!!

Gotti
ding ding ding!
hi all, there is an al7 but I do not see it. help pls
NM found it in my scrabble dictionary
peri - it uses the high point tile
firewords! kind of a shame for a US holiday Monday to have such a tiny one
fireworks, I agree with dan2. I was ready for a biggie. I honor all who served in our Armed Forces.
This will give us more time today to honor our Vets
hi all. clue for the 7 please.
Morning folks
i dont get that al seven. darn.
hi bob
al + vowel + to cite during a speech, minus last vowel
good morning all
hi nan
mmm - that al clue isn't working for me
if you ***** Shakespeare, you are repeating one of his lines. chop off last vowel
I thought so, but when I type that in with the al in front it is only 6 letters and isn't accepted
add a vowel after the al
ty bichon
yvw
*** Baba and the 40 Theives + ****h the Raven "Nevermore"
my last word to 5/15, the second one, pls
Canadian hat, use the high point tile
ty
Not a fun grid to welcome me home with.

I just have an e4 to finish. Boring.
howdy again everyone.test run with my first new pair of rx glasses here,so bear with me:)) wow..so this is what the chat looks like;))

a fish.
think my happy bunny friend BR is now using the handle o-o:;)
I saw him this morning then.
can someone help me a little with that last e4?
Or am I invisible too?
Is it a common word or a babblet?
which e?
i must be the invisible one
I can see you
the lone e on the left. the e 0/1
i will look with you
the one that your teeth are not set on
O thank u

Oh yeah. Fireworks for the first time in months.

But big deal- it is a tiny grid.

small victories are better than no victories:))

tc jeff
I'm off for the day too... see you later, Crossy !
38?
lol,make em last:)
morning all. teeny grid!
Good Morning Everyone! It's cool (57 F), cloudy and threatening rain here; how are you and how is your weather?
quite nice here, sunny and just about warm enough to lay out, except the breeze is a little cool. Will probably sunbathe later when it warms up a bit more.
beautiful,sunny and 15c here
would love clue for al 7 word plesae.
went for a nice 2 mile power walk this morning before breakfast and now feel nice and energized
it is a word to do with mathematics and fractions.a real odd one using the high point tile
it was drizzly, windy, and cold yesterday; so I guess today is a bit better (it doesn't look windy today)
also can mean a per of
part
thanks crossy. never thought of it as a math word, that's what we call pre-drawn individual doses :)
indeed,jes,also used in medicine
as in a fraction of a hole dose
whole
or a portion i suppose
dosing doughnut holes now? I need a double dose! :)
mmmm..doughnuts...
OH! Gotta brag!!! I took my grandson down to the fishing dock on the lake 2 blocks from us and he caught his first fish --a 3 inch long bluegill (panfish). We put ti back in (of course); but the little guy has been practicing his casting on the front lawn for the past 3 weeks and he does better than me! :-)
there is no place within 25 miles to get doughnuts here! We have a freaking safeway but they don't have a bakery. Well, you can get the cheap boxed kind but that's not really the same. :(
yaaa! first time fishing with the kids is a riot.remember,if you do not want to mess around with the worms you can use niblets corn.works well for the sunfish/perch etc
cant get that al 7. need more clues please.
was mohamed al* the guy who said that ****e about sting like a bee?
half way :)
We went without any bait; I figured he'd just enjoy the casting and reeling in like the yard; but his dad came down after a while and had some tiny bread crumb bits and that's what he caught it on.
odds
OOOPS! Off to PB again.
yup, next time just grab a small can of corn.easy to use for the wee ones
i have a ga4, 2x ge4 and a go4, what am i missing?
Silly Nef. *slides the box of doughnut holes towards the penalty box*
put about 3 or 4 niblets on the hook and those small sore fish will be all over it
shore
Don't know, Shirlock-i have the same as you (now that you listed them for me to look for!)
super clue jes., ty ty got it
can't see this grid, it's so small and forgot my magnifying glass again!
what a bummer gwen
crossy has a new pair of glass and can just make it out
eleven left.
it's either a g5 or a g6 since i'm missing a 5 and a 6
there is a ge 5/16 that is a round rock with all the sparkies inside when you cut it open
and that's the one
sparklies
thanks, crossy
now the t6
down to 5 :)
to6=past tense roman attire

still around to clue for a while if anybody needs it
needs what?
...don't get me started on my needs ... :D

Any needs beyond that, I'll need explicit written permission from the mrs to meet.
a whole new meaning to the "penalty Box "
gotta keep you on your toes :)

hi stid!
there's extra
want some?
hmmmmm.... send some down
hey jes! Tom is making more pumpkin pancakes, I'll share!
with fresh vanilla bean and marion berries
I'd rather have maple syrup
there's syrup too
oh, mmmmmm. marionberries aren't ripe here for several more months. *sigh* I dream of blackberry season every year!
I just put bread pudding in the oven to warm up :)
bread pudding sounds delish
morning all!
hi sue :)
gm sue
it appears to be a carb-y kind of morning
hi jes and ruru and stid and kje!
hola
I didn't want my standard peanut butter toast on a holiday
I'd eat bacon too, but there's none cooked and I'm trying to be quiet because Bruce is still asleep
mornin' kje :)
*knows how she could wake Bruce up...*
I told Frank I'd fix him breakfast, probably shouldn't babble too long but wanted to say hi
I skipped the carbs... had scrambled eggs with mushrooms and cream cheese
there are several ways bruce would enjoy, and i'll consider them if he's not awake by the time i eat :)
ooh, that reminds me, we have some mushrooms that need to be eaten soon, maybe I can incorporate them in breakfast...
but he worked all day yesterday marking and digging ditches with my dad for the footings of the new house, and he was wiped out last night.
cream cheese? really?
why is that shocking?
sounds like Bruce is awake. Better throw some pudding in for him too :)
just with mushrooms that doesn't sound right
..must be a texas receipe....
sounds good to me, sort of like an egg stroganoff
about an ounce or maybe a little less... makes the eggs creamier, and tastes delish with the mushrooms
hmmm
hoping to take a long walk to burn off the carbs.
anyway, must go, see you all later!!
bye, sue!
hi/bye sue!
bye sue.. have a nice day
I wandered off to eat my pancakes... new house jes? sounds exciting!
slow going...we're hoping to have it liveable (though we know it won't be finished) by this winter, but that sort of depends on some money things.
turns out, building a house is expensive...
who'd've thunk it?
I hiked 8 miles in the hills Saturday. had planned a 6.5 hike today on mt tam, but decide I'm a little sore to hit the hills again. would love a nice flat 6-7 mile hike somewhere though...
they are indeed.. expensive to build nowadays
yes, expensive and lots of things to consider.
We still haven't done demo and already I am worried that we are overspending!
25 to go
sounds ambitious, kje -- aren't there some fairly flat areas south of you? seems there are birding spots near san jose
go harpjane go!
i hate to ask for help, but i can't see the lone e. it' is ed4/6
turns out that construction loans are nearly impossible to get, and we can probably get as much or more spending out of a line of credit through our bank, so we're working on that
ed..**as I say
ed 4/6 is an edible root, taro
thanks
i went every direction but that one!
nbt woo hoo
7 miles is not ambitious, unless hills are involved. the hills are killing me. I used to do 12-14 miles on weekends in TX with no problem, but of course, that is flatter than flat. I need to build up my hill stamina now that I'm no longer a flatlander
and those 12-14 miles would only take me 3-4 hours early on a Saturday morning. now 7 miles takes me close to 3 hours as the terrain is tougher... I feel like a wimp
you could walk from the ballpark to the Marina
Jes, we got a construction loan through a local bank and the interest rate was reasonable.
that's all flat
woohoo....this lurker is done!
If you want the name I will email you?
YAY penquis!
ty!
kje, I used to walk huge distances with some decent hills just in our town when I was young (not that I am saying you are not young, understand...) but flat walking is a completely different type of pace and stride. I actually think I do better still on moderately hilly ground most of the time. Not that I hike any more. :-)
sure, stid - but we only have 2 local banks, and most that I called that don't have a local branch didn't want to loan for construction in an area they don't have a representative
or they just don't do construction loans at all.
banks are very tight on those kind of loans right now
they want to sell the homes already n the market rather than build new
kje isn't young :D
LOL I suppose from your advanced perspective, ruru, she's still an embryo?
*note to self: take stid off xmas list *
ooooh. that missing lump of coal will really make me sad!
:D
:-D
If I ever make it down your way and meet you in person, ruru -- LOL people are so funny. They never look the way I picture, but they always act the way I imagined.
i'm sure I don't look the way you've pictured me
back in a while -- apparently there is yet another friend I forgot to tell about the fire. *sigh* anagram of fish word. *poof*
true, I am not young... but neither am I old. It is humiliating to be passed by someone 20 years my senior running past me on a hill!
oh.
I'll improve... eventually... getting my hill legs
age is relative
nah... it is pretty firm!
now, how someone looks at a given age is relative....
I don't think I look my age (I don't act my age either) :D
how old are you?
59
just over a decade older than me...
btw, you'll stay younger if you'd go get that knee repaired!
it's on my to-do list
move it to the top
i thought you already got your knee done? is this the other one?
he chickened out ; )
chickened out?! tsk, ruru!
I don't want to be in a weakened state in a SF hospital that KJE has access to :D
that is a reasonable concern... go do it in LA
lol
hah. coward! Don't tell her what hospital until it's done
I think I will bake a citrus pound cake today... being tempted by a recipe I just saw
then again... I really need to get back on a diet...
but it's chilly here and perfect baking weather
maybe a cream cheese frosting?
and chocolate chips in the mix!:)
no.... citrus glaze
(we are so helpful with dieting, aren't we?)
though, this pound cake has cream cheese in it
chocolate chips in it doesn't sound appealing to me at all
<----knew it
not a chocolate covered orange fan? (me either, but mostly because of the orange...)
it's only going to be in the 50s here today, ru... looks a little foggy out there
I love choclate covered orange rind! bbut not in this recipe
it is cooler up here too.. chance of rain
i think i will run to the butcher... get the chick3n to make some more sausage... hagd all
bye kje -- you knew I was coming back?
bye
me too off for a walk
bye ruru... enjoy the outside time!
bye, kje, ru. have a lovely day :)
I am still looking for my last word and think I should list ...
i can clue for you :)
what are you missing?
the A 7
just the second letter and count would be enough I think
and thanks in advance :-)
al 7/40
okay thanks *thinking*
yep
don't know why I didn't think of that combination before, I was trying all kinds of variants!
yay! glad to help :)
I suppose you use those measurements all the time, in your business?
nice to finish a grid, I only manage to finish little ones these days.
occasionally :)
but i didn't see the word in the grid until crossy clued it for someone else
ah, I know that well!
okay, I have to pull myself together and get a decent printer so I can be ready for that interview and ... Tom wants to make the old printer that was in the storage locker work, but it doesn't. I need something more reliable.
going shopping then?
And I want better shoes for Thursday, too. The mary janes I wear to teach in are practical, but not very professional...
yes, I think so -- just a little bit. ;-)
I spent a whole lot on Saturday on carving materials for Grant and me. good chisels are expensive. so are good pocket knives for carving.
carving?
at least the scraps of wood from the "seconds" bin were reasonable! LOL
I didn't know you carve
I make lino blocks for printing when I have time, and Grant carves wood.
vicuna got me into it -- I am nowhere near her level of detail, but I have fun.
cool :)
I am full of surprises, jes -- like the tardis, I am "bigger on the inside" *wicked mama grin*
of course now I need more of everything else... but I have the chisels! LOL
hah
I need to order more silk painting materials, too - Mother and I have plans for this summer.
our house was briefly bigger on the inside than the outside, but that turned out to be architect labeling error...
hm. I could disguise my chisels as sonic screwdrivers...
too funny, jes! what will the house look like? two stories? juliette balcony? rambling roses clambering up trellises and over the veranda?
now there's a thought -- I could design a kitchen that looks like the tardis control room. Must run this past Tom!
hahahaha. no trellis or roses, those take work
it's basically a full floor daylight basement dug into the hill, with a half floor second story
clerestory windows on the second floor, and that floor opens over the living room (no jumping!)
Hey Jes, Ben is doing much better this morning, thanks again! Back to his old self; but still going to take him in on Tuesday. thanks again!!
yay! glad i could help :)
Sang with harpjance this morning. She said it was a teeny grid...just popped in whilst potatoes cooking. Hello stiddy! LOVE cleristory windows
that sounds lovely, jes -- bright and cozy at the same time. think building into the earth in places where it gets so cold makes great sense.
nice jilly! glad you got to sing today!
I wanted to do at least a partial basement but Tom was dead-set against it.
we wanted to live in a cave, but the architect said no.... something about laws requiring escapes from bedrooms. pooh.
but it doesn't get all that cold here, so it should be fine.
yes, those silly egress laws. Otherwise we could put the kids in windowless, airless rooms and ...
whoops, timer bbl
so we get a little patio into the hill out a door from the bedroom, and we added a glass room off the livingroom so Bruce can have an herb garden
no sorry, that was my teacher-self talking! *wicked teacher grin* there are times that it feels as if schools are designed to prevent kids from ever seeing daylight around here. :-(
:-) perfect!
later jilly
well, I really should get my old tired carcass off the sofa and start moving around a little. Tom already has a load of laundry going.
heh. there have been times i'd like to chain the kid in a dungeon :)
(((jes))) I hope I see you online again soon! bye lurkers! *poof*
have fun shopping, stid!
fireworks - good thing this grid was small given the trouble it gave me!
WooT WooT WooT uusue!!
hi
** finito ** good thing it was a small puzzle - could not get grid to show on my page - everything else - used tile statsto find the words
hi teach, jane jill and sue :)
hello kate
was it a very tough grid? sometimes these tiny ones are evil ;)
morning everyone
hello kate, harp and wv
And hello onyx
it was an easy one-mostly common, recognizablewords
Pretty straight forward, I'm almost done
how are there 4 q words?
thanks, it gives me hope that i will finish sans list hi onyx :)
foal
oops
thank you onyx
crossy is back:)) howdy kate;))
<----!!FW!!
hi ya crossy :) hope you enjoyed your weekend!
Discovered that i have a volunteer raspberry bush in my yard. that's what neglect will bring
Hello crossy!!
is the 7 a fish?
Wish that would happen to me onyx
congratulations jill!!!! what was you last word, something fishy? <------ loves raspberries, will gladly adopt said bush ;)
No harp, it's a mathmatical/chemistry term....uses the hi point tile
howdy,jilly:)
I might get a dozen berries, but if i leave it alone who knows...
TK, it was the last q4/8
means a percentage of the total or a fraction
thanks jill, i have a q 4/7, will hunt up the 4/8
i recognized it from mathematics and our very own dr jes from brewing her evil potions for our furry friends
thanks
secretly glad there is a list
learn a new word every day thanks
monkeyed that one TK
what are the stats for that 7 please, i know i'm on the right path, but not quiet getting it...
al 7
al7/40
al 7/40
thanks onyx, turns out i was totally off base... hunting :)
it's a stat fest!
sort of goes in a circle TK
one to go.....
go jane go !!!!
go jane!!
woo hoo, now off to work for a few hours, then to a vets program
congratulations jane !
WooT WooT WooT jane....
heading back to kitchen to finish potato salad. Have a nice day all
got the 7 thank you all for the hints :)
I have a few words left back to the garden later
bye jill and onyx, hagd!
and now it is time for crossy's tidbit of the day and in honor of your southern friends and memorial day,i give you a military themed tidbit!
The U.S. Marine Corps is actually older than the United States itself, having been founded in 1775.
our southern friends*
sorry crossy, wandered away for some liquid refreshment. interesting - were they called the "united states" marine corps, or something else when they started up?
does anyone have the stats for the 6 please?
Hi again. I'm back for a few minutes and with 5 left, I'm not hunting for clues; just the stats for that 6 letter word please.
LOL, TK, you and I are in the same boat! :-)
hi there nef :)
LOL! Just got it too! To 6/27, TK
i need 4 here... 1 g, 1 c, 1 o, and 1 t... getting out the butterfly net AND the fishing pole....
I need 1 g, 1 d, and 2 t's yet.
thank you nef, hunting now :)
1 g goes down in the grid, TK (it took me forever to see it
betting you need the do 4/7, i had to monkey that one ;)
earliest name i can find for them was in 1776 and they are known as the continental marines during the revolutionary war
thanks, cross. That was an interesting tidbit.
where do you come up with all these tidbits crossy? just surfing around?
crossy has his sources:)
that was my g! thanks nef :)
finally reeeled in the 6, thanks to my monkey :) 2 more...
WTG, TK! You can do it!
betting you need a to 4/7 and pl nef
Hmmm, 2 of my last 4 words are 4's, 2 are 5 letters.
arghhhhh! JUST found the music hall.... fish slap for me... 1 more now :)
no, TK; I do have those
so we both need a c word - it must be 4 letters if that helps
try going down on that one too, TK. I still need those same last 4.
do you have a knit cap?
3 left. Yes, I have that one
2 left; finished the T's
1 D; 1 G
do you have a rocky g word?
yes. I need a 4 letter word and a 5 letter word yet.
that was the only 5 letter g word, so the g must be a 4 letter one...and the d word must be the 5...
I've reached the point where it's monkey time. But that's okay on this tiny grid! :-)
you have a pl missing for the d word.. you will kick yourself ;)
OUCH! You were right, TK! Twas a fish and I did kick myself!
;) we all do it....
4 letter g word matches the 4 letter f word
Have you found your last word, TK? I have that one too
okay, what are the stats for the c words please? i know i am looking for a 4 letter c word, but thought i had monkeyed every possibility..
i have 2 c4/6s, one ce and one ca
ca 4/6 x2, ce 4/6
hi pippin :) haven't seen you in a while. thanks for the stats nef, so i am missing a ca 4/6... hunting - again
hiya kate
hi pipping. I agree; I haven't seen you either for a while. What IS that creature on your page?
been super busy with school and work but having a weekend off has been great, especially a long weekend!
it's an axolotl, a very cute water critter, i can't recall if it is amphibious or not
good grief! finally got it, don`t know how i missed that one! thanks :) HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND!!
YAY, TraderKate!!! WTG!!!
nicely done kate
Fireworks! Also a big old fish!
congratulation on your exam results kate, when do you start at the clinic, or have you alreadyÉ
i raise my mimosa to you
i've been at the clinic for a month now, it's pretty cool
neat, pipping!
lol, turned my keyboard french again, bbs congratulations nef!!!
i get to use lasers to look inside people's eyeballs!
what area do you plan to specialize in, pipping?
i'm actually interested in either emergency or orthopedics, i think, but job is job
*Clinks glasses with Pip* Nice to see you enjoying a day off.
you have more sane schedules with ortho, if that makes a difference
Dang. The laundry is calling me again. BBL!
bye nef :)
but with emergency you're more likely to end up with something like 4 10s that give you 3 days off. it's all a trade-off
bye nef
here you go my friends.in honor of the day. http://tinyurl.com/nlxreya
howdy pippin:)
hiya crossy
the internet is making it very stop and go here crossy, watched about havlf of it though. thanks for the video effort
still grabbing your wifi at the coffee shop, kate?
Grab your wifi at the coffee shop; grab the wifey in the bedroom.
i had to make a choice for the household budget.so at 90 dollars a month the cable was cancelled.no big loss with 4 good channels out of 400.out of that 90,i took 40 and maxed out my internet speed and got unlimited data then will spend 8 dollars a month for nex flix .the other 42 dollars goes in my pocket.and the best thing of it all??? no more honey boo-boo! i do not have to grit my teeth when i see commercials of her and her family
yay!
I've been without cable for two years, so I've never had to see that or a commercial for it.
i haven't had cable in 3 years, i watch what i feel like on netflix or various other places on the internet, and generally don't miss it
Yup, Netflix for me too, and the internet for news.
except when So You Think You Can Dance is on, i admit
lol
i use crackle, will use netflix and get my dose of news from cnn and i have you tube to round things up
as well as the internet discovery channel
time for some of the tetrazzini i made last night!
LOL @ gremlinn :)) ....and hi! have basic cable at home, but i don't pay for it. if we got hulu up here, i would try harder to get cable in the apartment, so still using the internet cafe.
Good evening all. My goodness, this might be the tiniest grid I've ever encountered.
hi glantrell :) i was just sondering the other what the smallest grid ever was... since the largest was a monster 744 words
I got to about 500 or so on that one and ran out of time
I am about 15 hours late for this one buit feel certain I'll manage to finish it before bed LOL
holy cow, that is enormous
cannot abide cnn news - just look at boston coverage recently to see why....
i have 4 left and am stuck
for my local stuff it is ctv of course
what are you missing pippin?
the AL7, for one
yes,us naughty canadians are not allowed hulu:((
al* (baba) + most of a qu5 - soemthing soembody said
ty!
smallest grid was 26
largest was 744
i went looking for the 744, but cn't remember when it was... mid to late february?
last march i think
or this march just past or some darn thing like that
:)
April 21, 2012
there ya go:)
Just read back a bit and wanted to tell those of you who are streaming that especially if you get Netflix streamed, you should invest $60 (one-time charge) and use a Roku box...that way it streams to your TV rather than watching on the computer screen. You can also use Amazon.com and Hulu Plus but must pay their rates in addition.
BTW, I still hate this ferocious little grid so will come back tomorrow! Bye and hugs.
indeed, that is my plan mimi.the new roku3 has a bunch of nice features
They upgraded my Roku 2 to the 3 automatically at no charge but I'd like the headphones with the remote for 3...might get that separately later.
you all can google roku 3 and cnet for a nice review on it with all the info
yes,i like the idea of the headphone remote
I'm also going to subscribe to Hulu Plus since it has shows I can't get through Netflix. Another $8 a month but sure still beats those cable prices!
if you do not have a hdmi port on your tv,i gather you will need to find a roku 2
Roku is adding new channels all the time, also.
<---- wishes he could get hulu
fireworks
yaaa for glant!
and there i was thinking to would take up the rest of my evening LOL 14 minutes is a personal best
I don't understand why you can't get Hulu, crossy.
it is not allowed north of the border, mimi,CRTC regulations
Off to watch a film on LoveFilm - £1 a month cheaper than Neteflix here...
Happy viewing, Glan!
Hulu is not allowed anywhere except the US
same reason i had to get my brother in the states to send me my nook reader.all about copyrights and content
my nextflix, mimi, will be vastly different than yours for example
it is all about copyrights and who can use what and canadian content all rolled into one massive ball of mystery lol
with reference to the 744... you should go to the archives and read some of the comments at the flip :) 12:02 am jillibus 128 C words? fugeddabadit. (just for crossy, as he hates c words too)
Wow, I'm surprised. It's not like Canada is really a "foreign" country...at least we don't feel that way here. Just more government regulations to justify people's jobs.
actually,it is words that start with vowels that give me grief
lots of things are geared for the us market only on the net still, mimi.it is a lot better now but there was many a time when trying to order something from a u.s site it would not even recognize a postal code.you needed a zip code or you were out of luck
the techie here at the cafe got netflix - he only had it for one month - he said he watched everything he wanted to in 30 days???? i like a lot of tvo and pbs stuff, pretty sure they don't have a bunch of that type of content.
My internet company (Century Link) has come up with their own version of pay TV and we'll be getting it in my area in the next month or so. No dish, uses their internet equipment and can get all the channels I'm interested in for about $36 a month...can't wait.
your zip codes have 5 numbers for example 90210.our postal codes are a combination of letters and numbers for example mine is L9Y4C1
that doesn't sound too bad mimi
yup.mired in govt regs:((
Actually, Kate, Roku just added a PBS option directly and for free. I have found tons of things I love on Netflix streaming...for example, the entire Highlander TV series (over 100 episodes) and the entire 7 seasons of The West Wing....and no commercials. Then there are two New Zealand series I adore. I'm really happy with it.
you make me excited to get netflix, kate:)
mimi*
Funny, crossy, I used to be called Cate years ago!
:))
When you do get it all hooked up, crossy, I'll send you my list of favorites. Smores and I do that all the time.
first i need to get rid of my 20 year old tv set and get a nice hdtv flatscreen with an hdmi port
will be nice to have a slim, light flatscreen tv,my old 36 inch crt tube tv,you need 3 men and a donkey just to move it!
My flatscreen is HD and I didn't need anything special for the Roku. So easy...just plug it in and then pick a code for your WiFi...hey, if I can do it, anyone can!
sounds very nice:))
are the 6/7 a combo?
i want another grid!
This TV replaced one of those, crossy...my cats ate the wires at the back...lucky it wasn't on at the time. I was mad then but happy now that I was forced to replace it.
bad kitties
i am presently watching the west wing again from the beginning... week 2. it's on vision tv 4 nights a week. enjoying it even more the second time around. no combo leslieann
if they are still prone to doing that mimi, just go to your local auto parts store and ask for 6 feet of 1 inch wire harness tubing and you can protect your wiring with it and it costs about a dollar a foot:)
You can't even imagine the damage they did the first year I had them. They ripped posters off the wall and then tried for the thermostat, at the wire that went to my computer speaker (sound gone), tore holes in my shower curtain...oh, the list goes on and on. They're fortunate I am able to tell myself it is the living creatures that matter and not the inanimate objects!
i have all my wiring in wire harness tubing.problem over
or get the foul tasting stuff and put it on the cables... vets sometimes put it near a wound to keep critters from licking... makes them foam at the mouth if they lick/bite on it, very very funny ;)
i do however have to replace my shower curtain once a month
I'm about to watch The West Wing again, too, Kate...this will be my 4th time! The writing is just so good and, of course, so is the acting.
plan on putting in sliding shower doors this year
I have this computer barricaded in my living room with no wires accessible to them. But if I need to unplug or get to the modem, I must move furniture!
one of my favourite shows ever. so shsarp and fast-paced... and i learned a lot about the workings of american government. just adore sheen and janney et al... what a cast! when it first ran, i watched the first episode, i almost quit - so much to take in, so many names, jobs etc.... was almost overwhelmed as was so used to much slower paced tv writrten for the lcd.....
The brother and sister were tiny strays when I took them and at the time I was working so it was like leaving toddlers home alone for 12 hours. I thought my slightly older stray cat would teach them to be like him, but it kind of worked the other way around! Every day, I said the prayer "God, please grant me patience...NOW!"
And, Kate, as you know, the name I go by is CJ.
There are at least two others you should see if you can get...Hack and Life. Both excellent.
crossy, i will have to ask yu more about roku at another time. but like you, i have an older tv. no hd or computer ports etc.
You don't need computer ports for Roku, Kate..it uses WiFi signal.
haven't heard of either of those shows mimi, are they british?
it is the hdmi port you will need for the roku3
sounds like it will be an expensive proposition for me to change over atm.... internet and a new tv will be needed...
and since the 3 is so much better,it is well past time we retired our ancheint tv,s
wow.crossy mad typin skillz at work:(
No, they're American. But I also have British series I love on Netflix.
i have to go soon, does anyone want stats? closing in 15 minutes here
indeed kate.i can justify it by saving 90 a month on cable and 7 a month on the cable box.for you,not so much when you have free basic
Crossy, I was just so impressed they upgraded mine to the 3 remotely at no charge.
Life is American and only had two series. I was gutted it wasn't renewed
hello everyone
in 4 months ,i will have the new tv and the roku box paid for by the cable savings
that was nice of them indeed, kate
howdy,katie
the free basic cable is keeping me sane, but i do miss showcase if i am up late at night. adore the old ncis, house etc.... hi katie :)
I watched trauma and that only lasted one series. I am now starting to see if it is going to be renewed before I invest time in them lol
I know, Katie---me, too. There's a saying with my family and friends....If Mom/CJ likes something, it will surely be discontinued!
I am still with Grey's Anatomy and it's about to go to the tenth season and Criminal Minds is being recorded now so I was relieved that it had also survived another season
lol, that used to happen to me,mimi,so now i just wait till a series is at least in it's 3rd year before i start watching it
That's true not just with TV shows but also grocery items and other products...so sad.
for example i did not start watching house till they were in the third season
then i started with season one lol
I have all of Grey's until this season loaded on my Roku. So many shows to watch....so little time!
i do want to see that Oz prison series.i hear it is good
Oh, crossy, you will be in heaven with the Roku and Netflix...you can marathon watch a show one after another with no commercials, start to finish of entire series.
cannot wait
I generally laugh or cry the whole way through with hubby yelling "why do you do it to yourself". I have them all on dvd now and Mari is six seasons in - my Dad may never forgive me
The cool thing is if you load a show and then more episodes become available, they automatically are just added on.
you can pre-load the shows?
I have just watched the following - I recorded it and then went on marathon sessions of it, it was fantastic and renewed "phew"
Yep...from the Netflix site online...pull up Watch Instantly and go through and click to add to your Roku lineup. I have about 300 now...since I have no life.
lol@300.right now i watch one 1 hour or the odd time a two hour programme a night
Oh, I LOVE The Following, Katie...but I'm not entirely sure why. Really good acting and Joe, even though he's a serial killer, is a BABE.
lol "he is a serial killer but boy is he cute!" lol
Mike was my babe in that :) I just thought the whole thing was so clever
lol crossy
all the ladies love a bad boy:(
are they running oz again crossy??? that was a fantastic, gritty series. lots of the actors went on to bigger and batter things... violent, but all in proper context - not gratuitous
crossy is a good boy, just ask the mrs...crossy waits for the lightning to hit...
He just has a very compelling face, crossy. And, yes, there is the bad boy aspect though he's much worse than most of us would like!
happy remembering day!
I love things with serial killers in it, however did have to give up with Dexter as the whole thing creeped me out too much. When you can only watch something with company and in daylight it's time to give it up.
i likedd the following too, but i hear it will be discontinued, and golden boiy as well
Crossy, it's kind of like the joke "Well, other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?"
lol
the following was renewed
lol ;-)
hi cos :) just on my way out, see you tomorrow maybe ?
My daughter adores Dexter...that fact made me watch her more closely.....
phew cosdem - I was about to double check my source, I would have gone mad if the whole thing had ended that way.
Bye, Kate! Hugs.
Lol Mimi
lol dexter is great but i stopped watching it when it got way too weird.. (the sister falling in loe with the brother) ---
dexter isn't on regular tv here, only cable stations that are a level or two up from basic. i think it's on hbo here
katie i need to catch up on that show..
dexter is only on cable here too. showtime.
I liked Dexter at the beginning but it got boring to me. I mean, you knew what was going to happen.
6 feet under was also a good one, that i would love to see again...
is it good? i want to see it its on netflix..
Hubby is a little concerned that I love snapped women who kill on the Crime channel over here
Yes, loved that one, too...in fact, may be on Netflix...will be checking on that.
bye until tomorrow everyone, happy memorial day babbling :) poof
oh i watched that when i had cable katie.. it was fascinating! bye kate
cosdem - I thought the following was both well written and acted, well worth seeing through to the end
Bye Kate
ok ill definitely watch it then ur the 3rd person to say that
litt
I love all that crime stuff, too, Katie. I have a bunch on the Roku now....Stalked, Deadly Women.....are we warped or what?!!
not only is it not a word but there are no L words oops
roku.. where on the roku can u see them?
which channel on the rroku i mean
lol i tried litt too :)
You'd have to check on Netflix or Hulu Plus, cos. Easy to add channels to the Roku. They also have Amazon.com but they like to nickle and dime you to death in addition to the $79 a year.
i have netflix and hulu plus on my roku.. ill check for them again.. didnt know it was on there
Roku is just the conduit for Netflix and other streaming channels so you can have it on your TV. That's why it's a one-time charge with no monthly fee after that.
my satellite tv costs £62 per month!!
my friend lets me use his amazon prime for free but i can watch the same stuff on netflix or hulu...
wow
i love my roku!
well,my cable was $97.00 a month all told
Amazon Prime does have some things Netflix doesn't.
glad it is gone
just added deadly women to my queue! thanks for letting me know!
I filed a complaint against my cable company with the Better Business Bureau. I still have their box and I'm tempted to just toss it in the trash.
excited for tonight now lol. im warped.
I do have HD, movies and the sports though which is what costs the money. We have to get our broadband from a different company due to speeds which means that we pay another £27 a month for that, and then there is £11 for the phone. It would be much cheaper to be a Luddite lol
safer just to return it ,mimi:)
Oh, cos, do you know the entire CSI Miami is available and also all the Law and Order shows?
Both from Netflix.
yep ive been watching svu on netflix all week!
csi miami is on netflix??
my mrs will be in heaven!!
have you seen the killing? its on netflix.. i saw it on cable.. very good but very slow.. easier to watch on netflix than cable
I'm not crazy about the other CSI shows but do like the Miami one a lot. Yes, crossy, it's on Netflix.
yep crossy
one day i hope i will be as cool as Horatio...
Yes, I did watch The Killing and really liked it. You're right, it was slow on regular TV.
season 3 is starting june 2nd.. amc cancelled it but then changed their mind... same cops but different case
Next winter just stand outside for a bit, crossy, and you'll be WAY cool!!
though i am told the actor himself is an a**hole
No kidding, cos? Wow...thought it was done. Hope they load those on as well but I'll wait until the season is over to start watching.
ditto... i dont like when every show ends in a cliffhanger!
once every other weeks is good enough lol
If you all want a show that will keep you wondering from week to week, watch Scandal.
And you do know that Netflix now has two ORIGINAL series they produced themselves....House of Cards with Kevin Space and Henlock Grove. They shoot them and release 13 episodes at one time..fabulous.
yep ive seen both! good shows.. and netflix just released a new season of arrested development yesterday
hi molly!
Love it, Molly. I think it's already on Netflix, too.
yes it is its in my queue
I saw that, cos....I'm just going to start watching AD from the beginning...haven't seen it at all yet.
me too mimi.. ryan loves it so im gonna watch it. ive seen the pilot and liked it.
i dont have cable so all i watch is netflix :P
Oh, crossy, also, I'm sure you know, you can stream movies, too, through Netflix. Just loaded Braveheart to watch again.
i watch both movies and tv shows on netflix ...
Oh, another good series is "The Finder." It did get cancelled, of course, since I like it.
I can't watch The Finder anymore. It makes me too sad that Michael Clark Duncan is gone.
You've got to watch the two New Zealand series, cos. They are "Top of the Lake" and "Outrageous Fortune." Be prepared, though...apparently there is no censorship in New Zealand!
on netflix?
ok found them
Elisabeth Moss stars in "Top of the Lake." She was Pres. Bartlet's youngest daughter on West Wing.
Zoey? nice!
I know, Molly, I just adored him.
ok added both thanks!
Isn't she also on Mad Men? For some reason, I just can't get into that show. Breaking Bad is supposed to be good, too, but I couldn't get into it either.
im the only one i know who cant get into lost
which makes me pretty sad because i wanted so badly to like it
I liked the finder as well, between us it was the kiss of death to the series
mmolly thanks for the update on smash! i watched a bit last night but then ryan started whining about how boring it was
Watch Top of the Lake first, cos...it's much shorter than Fortune and very compelling with gorgeous views of New Zealand. You'll need to pay attention, though, so don't watch it while doing anything else!
ok will do.
I couldn't get into Lost either! Hey, I'm starting to compile my "Must Watch" list for crossy, so I'll send you a copy, too, if you like. Just em me at catjdesigns@yahoo.com and I'll send it by Reply when it's done.
Breaking Bad is cutting edge TV, but it is very dark. LOST was the best thing ever put on TV.
I think Lost is now on Netflix, too, so maybe I'll try again. My daughter loved that show, too.
yes lost is in my queue and has been there forever.. ill get around to it.. have to force myself to sit thru.. im sure itllgrow on me
ryan lovs breaking bad. its also in my queue, and sons of anarchy
Cos, I sent you another email
ok will check
Most of the shows I have on while I'm doing other things on my computer. Otherwise, I'd never get around to them all.
same here mimi.. its mostly backrground visual for me.. so i dont feel alone
Ooooh, also love Waking the Dead...you'll really like that one.
waking the dead is in my queue i think
right I'm off to bed, I only have 3 days at work this week so I had better look a little enthusiastic :) Night all, see you soon
Breaking Bad seems very popular in your age group Cos. My sons literally forced me to watch it.
Night, Katie!
Bye Katie
the problem with breaking bad is its about meth
Could I get the stats for the 6, please?
Breaking Bad was too dark for me, you're right, Molly. Funny...I like shows about serial killers but BB is too dark!
--- its very hard for me to watch movies about that stuff considering my past
I'm right there with 'ya, cos...same reason.
so limited doses of these kind of movies... u know? not too much or ill start getting flashbacks
The Guardian is good also...at least there are 67 eps of that before cancelling.
Stats for the 6, please?
a friend just recommended Annika Bengtzon: Crime Reporter
dont hae it yet sorry marc
No problem
I'll check it out. So now we have you all set for a couple of nights of good TV watching, cos!
thanks! about to watch deadly women aftre judge judy
to6/27
I've totally had it with this grid...makes me feel stupid. So, calling it quits and moving on. Oh, also, cos, there are lots of good concerts on Netflix streaming as well...just enter Music in their search engine, I think. Though my taste and yours may be quite different...I'm loving Earth, Wind and Fire and Simply Red a lot and many others probably before your time.
I love this time of year. Barbecued food and fresh corn on the cob.
any of them subtitled?
so jealous molly.. no bbq for us this year :( poophead has to work
Thanks Molly now I have to go find it.
I don't think so.
So barbecue and let him heat it up later.
Same as TO4/6 + vowel for TO5 PT for the TO6
lol we cant grill here anyway..not on apartment property..
Not even if you move your grill away from the building?
We have grills at several locations here in my complex. I'm always envious when I see someone grilling since it smells so good.
nope! not on parking lot either
The smell of food cooking over charcoal and the smell of fresh cut grass are my two favorite smells of summer.
what about electric grills?
Growing up, my father used to grill every Sunday....even in the snow!
no grills at all.
of course that isnt stopping a neighbor from grilling out right now lol.. i saw them wth ahuge folding table.. a party i guess with 3 grills going..
what kind of grass Molly? :D
lol
What are stats for the 7, please?
LOL, ruru!
Cos, you need to make friends with someone who has a backyard and a Weber.
al 7/40
Thanks
lol,in winter if there was a storm or wind,we would get two guys to stand up wind and hold a sheet of plywood as a wind break while two others took care of the bbq
i do have a friend lol.. but her husband is being deployed for 9 months this friday and seh wants alone adult time with hhim as much as possible
in Colorado.. you can smoke meats and Pot legally
Well then, after that, you can be her grilling buddy.
Could I get a clue for the al7, please?
When he's gone, you two can grill together and have coctails and cry and eat....
yep! shes the one whos getting me the job at the school
here, pot is just a ticket as long as you have one oz or less in a single bag for personal use
Cocktails.
Same in California, crossy.
al7...*** Baba and the 40 theives + ****h the Raven "nevermore"
here u dont even get a ticket cross :P
We now have legalized medical marijuana in Arizona but they won't let anyone sell it! Duh.
rub it in,cosdem..
u can smoke a huge bong in the front of ur window with acop watching and get away with it waving at the cop
Got it thanks
god bless colorado indeed
well,we have had rx pot for decades, but as you say,try and get a dr to issue a permit
and washington state right?
The doctors will give it here but there is no pharmacy that sells it!! Crazy.
I haven't in years, but I would have to fire up a spliff just to smoke one right in front of a cop.
yes washington state too but colorado's law is a lot less stricter than WA...
a whole new meaning to Rocky Mountain High
they're even saying our laws are more relaxed than amsterdam's now
there are pot bars, pot clubs
Appropriate, on Memorial Day to remember John Denver...after all, he did it first!
lol that song is very popular for people who walk to the top of pikes peak
I have de5, ed5, eq5, qu5, and to5 x 3 which 5 am I missing, please?
better that the chemical coktails they give us now for my arthritus, bursitus and my herniated discs
lol molly yeah that'd be fun.
ge5
got it thanks
Been to the top of Pike's Peak, cos. I'm weird with heights. Most people get tired the higher up they go but I get more energized...strange.
this grid is boring.
ive lived on the foot of pikes peak for 3 years and ive never trekked up there! want to though
gotten very boring indeed.think i am at the all babblet stage
Well, I guess we can all attest to the fact that size DOES matter........
idk the bigger grids bore me as well!
well, they say it is not the size, but the motion on the ocean.this may be true, however it takes a long time to get to England in a row boat;))
130 is good.
150-250 is my preference
Yeah..we've had that discussion, crossy....remember? I was not at all happy with the rowboat.
lol,mimi
Of course, not thrilled with a jet either!!!
my memory and those things used to strain spagetti are about the same thing, mimi
A nice luxury liner would be good......
((mimi)) and ((crossy)) and ((cos))
I'm right there with 'ya, crossy. But I'll bet my brain is holier than thou's!
((Jilly))
wow.took me forever to find the ag 4/6= what we called a large prized marble in the games of marbles we used to play in the schoolyard back in the dim dark days
((jilly)))
Speaking of luxury liners, another Carnival Cruise ship had problems....caught fire and now passengers being flown back from Bahamas
carnival better just go do something else
yep i was always leery of going on a cruise considering my fear of water and this settles it. im never going on one.
turn them all into docked floating restaraunds or mini malls
OK, now, do I not even get ONE LOL for my little brain joke?!!
Me and you both Cos. No desire whatsoever.
well,go,just do not use carnival
i missed it molly.. scrolling back
sorry mimi, i was laughing, just got distracted
Alrighty, then!
Missed what? I was talking about not wanting to go on a cruise.
sorry mimi lol not molly
Chat confusion
im just looking at the color and first letter of the name in each comment and not reading the full name :( lazy me
hiya molly :-)
ok im over judge judy. time for someting else
OK---gonna go get something done for a change. Happy evening, everyone. Hugs all around.
Send me an EM, cos, and let me know how you like the shows I suggested.
see you later mimi
will do!
I wish I could get Judge Alex....ADORE him.
cosdem.want to see some interesting judge judy?.there are shows that show yher years ago when she was still doing juvinile court as a non-tv judge.very intersting.she was just as feisty then as now
joe brown was cancelled. lol
oh id love to see that cross!
Judge Alex has a great sense of humor and he's not as heavy-handed as some of the others. He used to be a cop.
you have to wade through you tube to find it.it was a 2 hour show with 48 hours or 60 minutes or one of those programmes.very, very interesting
hes the tall one right?
ok ill see if i can find it via google
Yes, and nice looking man. Many of the women who come on the show flirt with him shamelessly. He's quick to mention his wife when that happens.
yeah we dont get him here either. i forgot about him
OK---really am going now. Hugs again!
i love the difference in the way judy does it vs joe brown.joe will leat you ramble on and hang yourself while picking out the facts he wants while judy will strip you down to the bone and ttell you to shut up and rip the information she wants out of you
tc mimi
Oh, Cos, that Century Link "cable" TV service will be your area soon, too. As I said, the package I want is only $36 a month and no dish needed.
prism tv yes! im waiting for it to be available
they said theyd call us when ready to order.
We are so much on the same wavelength, cos! Can I adopt you?!!
lol sure
OK...REALLY going now....and poof!
bye!
Well...heading out to fire up the BBQ...hagd cos and crossy
tc,jilly
since cosdem wants to adopt my cat that will make mimicat my cat's grandmama
hi all
Happy Memorial Day!
hi folks
hi, car - sorry i missed jmc, wanted to find out how she did last night with her sister's beeping dishwasher and how she did on her exam
I cannot tell you how much noise my family is making right now, when I am supposed to be working. Thus, i must Babble instead until they are done.
i only wandered off for a minute to serve my supper
sounds like a plan, car
it is a touching sacrifice car!
so? how goes it, jmc?
i didn't sleep well but i set the damn thing off while i was out so it would grind without water without me and the beeping is done. . .
I am beyond annoyed. I am going to walk away for a bit.
and the exam?
i took a nap on the grass today
just a class. . .no exam
sorry car. . .
i'm ready for a nap - flippin' busy here. i work harder on days off *lol*
poor thing. . .
;-)
you feel my pain, eh? and you just reminded me of 'grazin' in the grass'
from merle travis to hugh masekala (or however you spell his name)
since it is a touchy-feely school tomorrow i will be able to pick a song on youtube for everyone to listen to so i am picking dark as a dungeon--johnny cash version. . .
when i was a kid, i used to sing it in the staircase because the acoustics were sooooo fine
true true. . . we did that at school. . .
glad i got to 'see' you, if only for a few minutes - more stuff to do before i can indulge myself again. later, toots
by welki
2 words left. . . bbl
back again for a bit.know what you mean about family noise pollution, car.whoever first said 'silence is golden" hit it right on.my son has taken to bellowing everything he says as well as screaming his sneezes.drive me up the wall
i will however get him a hearing test since he had some damage to both ears as a youth
