basically just being a teenager. He collects dirty dishes, glasses etc in his room, up to the point that we go without. I had the nerve to A. enter his room and get some glasses while he was away and B. tell him I didn't appreciate this, especially because I had told him he HAD to bring it down and wash it before he went away on his weekend. So now he is mad at me. I shouldn't have entered his room, no matter we didn't have any glasses left... and I should have asked him about his weekend before starting to 'nag'.

totally overlooking the fact he telephoned me out of bed the night before, and ask me to start up my computer and wire him some money... which I did, while talking about his weekend.
yep, teenager egoism. Or maybe it is egotism, since they cannot really help it. Their brains are wired that way, with all the hormones running wild.
well it is your house! and you are the parent and do have the right to enter any room and if hes that upset then what does he got that hes hiding?
I am usually very respectful, they can claim their room. But yes, he does not pay rent, lol, so it is still our dominion. He doesn't want to understand he can prevent this by abiding by the rules.

I found several empty cans of energy drinks. He knows we don't want him to drink that. A truckload of empty soda bottles. That kind of stuff. Nothing serious.

Got my assignment for the year! I will be working with elementary kids between 1st and 6th grade on my dorm wing. My hours will be Mon thru Thurs from 3pm to Midnight and on Fridays from 3pm to 7:30pm. I love this because I am off from 730pm Fridays UNTIL Monday 3pm every weekend

its a residental school yes but the kids go home on weekends
we do have some day students if they live local... some kids cant drive from one end of state to another every day
