that IS early. couldn't sleep? trying to make the summer last longer? That's my trick: wake up earlier so I have longer daylight when I am awake.

Thanks, glant and erda. Can't do much without him :(
Glant. I'm Canadian and I get up late.
Early to bed, early to rise... (Ben Franklin). And no, we have plenty of night owls. I am not natively a night owl, but being married to one has pushed my sleep schedule all out of whack.
hanging around (having raised it) one messes me up on the weekend!
hawaiian goose y alert
i used to be a night owl but sleep patterms have shifted with age
darn it can't reember the goose's name!
At home, in the summer, I am up around 6 and out in the garden by 7 so I beat the heat. But here in the city I don't have the birds to wake me and the city lights keep things artificially light late.
ooh thanks ruru!
Monday is going to be a very long day. I'll have to be at the school by 6:30am! haven't gotten there before 8 the last 3 weeks! LOL

Morning everyone!
Hi Sprite and Joso!
hiya pug :) *hug*
hey pug, didn't make swimming, cleaned house
housecleaning is necessary as well... and a good physical actvity. I did 5 whole minutes on the bike yesterday! *proud*
great! Sprite--so you found you one then
How did thrpy go for you friday
yes my husband did! When I came home from therapy day it was there waiting for me.
cleaning house is a freaking nightmare, clean one thing and it just revieals 2 more things that need doing, good work with the bike sprite
Iam so glad for you! what a nice srprise
surprise
therapy day was good. Taxing, but rewarding. Am starting to give more than I take away there... good sign for the last season!
oh joso, I hear you! It works that way for me too. When I start, I keep on going. Have to set myself clearly defined tasks beforehand or I will never stop till the body gives.
ahhh Sprite that is such good news! Hugs!
do you have a large house to clean Joso
and you, pug? How have you been?
you should have heard her yesterday, like pulling teeth, did one good thing; therepy, oh and another; found execise machine, oh yea clalled and made apointments for other probs, oh and son is home and behaving better, oh and therapist had a wonderful complement for her. by the time she had properly reflected on here day i was running out of ways to say well done.
Ive been good--My girlfriend and her two young granddaughter(ages 4 and 7) took a long hike up the creek yesterday. And Iam feeling every bit of it-lol
*giggles* joso, I love you :D
*her... not here
well Joso you got a good memory=lol
the server here kept shutting me off here while ago.Was begining to wonder if I was going to get back on
am glad you did
get back on, I mean, not having server issues
this is a condenced 1 1/2 - 2 hour conversation, little nuggetes just keept popping up, lol
I think it's the site pug, I had probs too, and others where mentioning
giggles! well she had a good day at last! And Iam glad you were here for her to share it with someone
missed you last nite pug, what where you up to?
I did. My therapist said I will be in their hall of fame in a year. Very nice compliment :)
My girlfriend and her family comes most weekend to our campgrounds ---so I usually go there to spend time with them
please may i have a clue for the 9
hiya Jjenny! Past tense, like having a floral print allover. pa9
its a pa Jenny
9 pa, something covered in a repeating form
thanks Joso for missing me
thanks sprite I didn't have the 7 lettered one
where is our Rose?
I usually don't either, Jjenny, it is rare that I have biggies at the start, lol. Glad you found them.
sounds like a good time pug, regardless of the mucle ache
Oh I forgot shes got that wedding
yeah it was! I love walking the creek--and the dogs love it too as well as the kids(until they see a snake)lol
our rose is partying today
I'm sure she will tell you all about the cute ushers as soon as i leave the room sprite
learned my new thing for today already... ja5 never thought it would take but it did... a kind of black glossy vernish.
I bet she out there dancing!lal
if she isn't, she is in her heart
you'd think someone had to apply the ja5
helloooo dear friends. your today is my yesterday. it was marvellous. and afterwards DH and i went out for a four course greek dinner.
clue for the bottom A in the 4th column for nbs and nbt please
rose :D Lovely to see you! *hugs* Glad you had a good time.

thanks sprite and rose
then, an6 and an5
Hello Rose!what a nice time it sounds like you had! What was it you ate--
yvw Jjenny
*hands joso a good strong cuppa cha* dearest that is the top a
*hides*
I love greek food
oh my, i will start with entree.lol. a basket of warm pita breads, 3 dips, sun-dried tomatoes, pickled carrots and french beans, and a plate of fried cheese.
*makes joso reappear from hiding* No shame in wanting to help! Besides, we don't wanna do without you.
I like the lemon potatoes, such a bizar idea
omg that sounds so delish
next course, kalamari, bbq'd fish, prawns and a serve of greek salad
lemon potatoes are lovely indeed
Ive never had them--how do you fix that dish
3rd course lamb, chicken and a plate of veges, potato, sweet potato and tomatos
haven't a clue, can tell you how to order them
I don't do fish too well. But the 3rd course sounds lovely again.
then dessert, baklava, and greek version of a vanilla slice, with greek coffee.
mmm sounds really good Rose
pug, I cannot access my recipes at the moment. Will try and remember to send you the recipe on4 I can access the files again.
though Ive never had some of those things
rose, and then they rolled you home?
okay Sprite--thanks
we bought a 2 for 1 deal, promotion on the internet. it was worth the full price.
sounds marvolous gran, you must be stuffed
and how was the wedding?
oh, and btw, the crutches are no longer needed. ankle is fantastic...exercises are working...lol
joso, like a vine leaf...*giggle*
ALRIGHT!!!!
I alwasy hesitate to order kalimari, so often overcooked then it's like gnawing on a tire
the wedding was gorgeous. very laid back, but still the full anglican ritual.
what is kalimari(kangeroo?) lal
octopuss
puglet: http://tinyurl.com/nxvpb95
yeah, joso. DH is of the same opinion. but last night it melted in your mouth
calimari are octopus rings, fried.
it is wonderful when done right
pugs, kalamari is octopi rings, from the tentacles
thats where to find the recipe Sprite?
yes puglet :) I googled it for you. My recipe is about the same as this one.
ahhh Learn something new everyday--thanks for the imfo
okay Sprite--thank you
i wish you could have seen the wedding...maybe i will get DH to help me post a few photos. the reading was from ecclastesis. the part where a cord of 3 strands is not easily broken.
brb coffee pot is whistling for me
a nice symbolic reading, rose. And yes, please, would love to see a few pics!
the vicar pulled a boat cable out of the bag, and invited the bride and groom to pull it apart. no, they couldn't. then he called the whole bridal party up, and they had a tug-of-war, right there in the church. it was great.
aw that is funny!
big grid considering that there are no s's
yes, it is joso. And when I started I thought it would never open up. But at some point it did.
I like this grid better than the one yesterday
the bride and groom should get that rope, plat it into a nice celtic knot and mount it on a wall
or a monkeyfist :)
My 17th wedding anv. is coming up here soon
got big plans pug?
oh really, puglet? Mine too!
lol. the young bride wanted that verse, as she considered herself, her new husband and God to be that cord of three strands. joso, what a great idea!
NO--my hubby is not into the gooey stuff
ours is on friday 13 september... and we were warried on a friday as well. Double celebration (we usually celebrate every Friday 13th).
mine isn't either, pug. We had a party planned, but he called it off.
very nice imagery, rose
9-6-96---------I picked a date that he could remember easily-lol
I was born on a friday the 13th, and 13th birthday was a friday
warried? Now that is a freudian slip if I ever saw one, lollll. Married!
that is exactly one week before us, pug. What are the odds!
how many years Sprite
on second thoughts, that nautical rope was extremely thick and about 15 feet long. it would make a pretty big celtic knot.
oh joso that is lovely!
17 as well, pug.
rose: it would make a monkey fist one could sit on :)
oh wow! its a small world-lal
it is :D
one bro was born on halloween and the other was born on my parents aniversary
you can remember back that far Joso? lal
Rose how long have you been married
wow special days all
9 years, pugs, this time around. the first marriage lasted 17 years.
just about right gran, they weave back and forth interlacing, should cover a foot to a foot and a half square, depending on the pattern chosen
there was a hiatus of 12 years in the middle
so that makes you about 56, rose ;)
i wish sprite, didn't mention that i was married the first time at the tender age of 22
*grin* You'll always be young in my eyes, rose.
lol, thanx, friend
god I wish we could meet for real.
what is an age anyway?
but lacking that, babble is a great alternative
sweetheart, it will happen one day....i will make it happen..
pug, I always joke that I will never be as old as I feel.
*sending up prayers to the Big Man upthere* Bring rose and me together, please, somehow, and if you could add puglet and joso it would be awesome!
I need to win a BIG lottery to be able to travel to meet you all
you are only as old as the man you feel, or in joso's case, the woman you feel. *giggle*
woooooooot rose! God I love that one.
hey, if my ship comes in, we all will be there.
same here, pug. Either that or writing a bestseller. Working on one again, lol.
those feelings rotate for me-lal
lifeguard at my pool had to ask if I got the seniors discount, was very shy about it, afraid to insult me i think, was very cute. don't know if she could ever save my life if it came to that, came all the way up to my mid chest and had to weigh all of 85 lbs, lol
you're funny Joso----you never know! She just might!
opposite to my experience, joso. went out for coffee, and when i went to did senior's card out of purse, was waved away, and told, you qualify, no problems. *groan*
ahh poor Rose! hugs
well it did prick the bubble, sprite...
I used to be able to drink at 14 because of beard, now that it is white I can scam seniors discounts if i wish, great friend my beard
and can you pass as santa too?
easy, have done so, just let it run wild about 2 months before christmas. i really enjoy being santa
last year my sister in vegas and her hubby dressed an Mr and Mrs Santa and went about giving out small gifts to the elderly about their area--I thought that was nice of them to do
aww that is so sweet! I wanna see a pic of you as santa, joso!
rose, that coffee shoppist needs to be flogged.
oh yes, such a nice thing to do.
I don't think i have any, lots of pix taken but the kids get them. Not much of a picture person, kind of regreting that later in life
lol, sprite...yeah i quite agree. but as DH (don't forget he is scottish) was paying, HE was tickled pink. didn't have to pay as much.
:D Ah well, we are willing to suffer if it makes our husbands happy, aren't we...
joso, make sure you get one this year then, please please please with a banana on top?
I love haw DH can stand for so many things, have to read the current meaning from the context
Sprite and Rose do you do Santa there too
lol, watching 'the vicar of dibley'...she is changing her god-daughters soiled nappy.
*how... haw
I always read it as dear husband. Though I usually call my husband what he really is... my love.
pug, we have the original thing... Sinterklaas. Let me find you a site that explains it.
Iam watching pregames of football
pug, this is fun to read: http://tinyurl.com/yty82s
Our santa owes a lot to coke, was much slimmer until coke ran a bunch of santa adds
joso, we, DH and i, prefer st nicholas...or father christmas...santa claus is so closely affiliated with a commercial company, we don't like that term.
oh I saw yesterday that Jo Frost, the supernanny, is doing family counselling now... I know, I know, but it is SO much fun to watch and it makes me feel like our family isn't disfunctional at all :D
okay Sprite will do so --thanks
the sad thing is, the commercial tendencies make Sinterklaas disappear and build on the Christmas rage from the US. I prefer Christmas to be a celebration of light born into the darkness. Midwinter. That is my thing.
right with you, sprite. absolutely!!
Yeah me too Sprite! the same with easter as well
absolutely, pug.
see... the three of us would have so much fun together :)
I'm not very religious, like christmas as a time of good cheer and great family time. so easy to give small kids everything they want in the world, never comes again once you grow up.
these stores wanting every penny they can grb takes away the true spirit of all holidays I think
oh, dear. himself is but, butting. i just said leave the channel on for the bike racing. i think he is stunned. *giggle*
Here the shelves might have halloween-thanksgiving and x-mas all at the same time
I am very religious but not connected to any church. My focus is on love and light. Most holidays nowadays are way too commercial to my taste. I like a bit of quiet and meditation to go with them.
roflollllll rose! See, you keep on surprising him.
lolol, see i told you!!
and you keep on proving it is true :)
do any of you like football or is that a big thing there
point in fact is...i get such a thrill out of watching the races...after 9 years you would think he had cottoned on.
Rose is this the same race that Ruby likes too
pugs, not footy in the way you mean. we have australian rules footy here.
football is socer everywhere except us and canada
in the Netherlands, socker is the big sport. And I couldn't care less, to be honest. My love is an avid watcher though. Me, I always ask: Is the grass still green? Two goals, one on each side? 22 grown men fighting over a ball? Ok, then I won't miss anything if I don't watch.
no, pugs,. ruby loves the push-bike race. this is MOTOR-cycling. way more dangerous. tonight it is in the czech republic.
I know very little about soccer but I seen on tv that we are trying to get a team started for us
so are you into football Joso
there's no sport that I really enjoy watching. Doing, yes. But watching... nah.
gran, in australia if someone says football are they liklely to be thinking socer or ausie rules?
push-bike... LOL
I love watching olyms -- when its on
paralympics... now that I could watch for a while.
no pug, not a sports guy, that's my little bro, scifi, books, science, games, always exerciseing my mind, to the neglect of my body
I never did have what it took to be good at any one sport
joso, that is more to my taste :)
But I do enjoy skiing and swimming
I loved langlaufing when I was younger. Didn't have the nerve for skiing, but loved langlaufing.
what the hell is langlaufing, uncotrolable laughing
Ive never done or tried skiing--a picture of a walrus sliding down a slope comes to mind as I think about me even doing it
omg... ok, will look it up... *shamefaced*
cross-country skiing... so sorry
roflol, pugs...you and me both
guys got to run--I have to take hubby to friends to go hunting....hate to leave good company--have a good one all --hugs
you also, dear friend. see you tomorrow
langlaufen is german, and in dutch the phrase is adopted. It is walking on skis. Long, sliding strides, very nice movement, but not going down steep slides.
no prob sprite, it's my ignorance, my problem. nothing to be ashamed of.
bye pug, have a grand day *hug*
tnx for finding a translation for me.
no joso, it was me being stupid and not looking up a germanism, just translating it literally into english.
ta pug, been a slice
hey, joso.you are not alone, my friend. and thanx sprite for the translation.
lang = long, laufen = walking. :)
oh rose, btw, did you get my email with the new babble dictionary words? I was laughing all by myself over peniseed - sperm.
really sprite this is nothing, don't get all deer startly on me, or I'll be afraid to speak freely. just a joke about laughing and my ignorance. please take it easy.
oh, yes, sprite. laughed myself silly, hun
*giggles and removes rabbit-in-headlight stare from face*
roflol, sprite
hey, spritey, is it possible for you to find motoGP on your tv? would be such a kick to have you and i watching the same program at the same time. and you too, joso.
I'm not too good with the *emote astrix* and :;8-)]} things, too busy trying to keep up with my 2 finger typing. a lot more of what I say is toung in cheek that what appears
May I please have a clue for tr7=32? Thaniks
it is all good, joso, I read you well. I love your sense of humour.
hey peach, sorry dont have it yet
hiya peach :)
me neither, will help look for it
Hey there, Sprite!
oh, isn't that a kind of dessert?
Thanks anyway, joso.
peach, think molasses, more refined. tr + abbreviation for per person + ***an, not dirty
finally a use for that darn ending, thanks peach!
golden syrup
oy vry, sprite knows golden syrup....
remember GroovyKiwi? She sent me some and it was sooooo delicious! Still have some, and a recipe I want to try it in.
jenny, substitute sometimes vowel for last letter for other tr 7
now I have it, tnx gran
oh!!! do you have the recipe for golden syrup dumplings? anzac biscuits?
Rose, I don't know golden syrup.....sounds good tho.
peach, just follow the rest of the clue, hun
OMG, I found it. Thanks so much.
t + give me a ***son to shoot you + bob is your un***
sprite, how can i forget groovy kiwi? was the highlight of our cruise to NZ.
rose, no I don't! Would love to have it!
okay, sweetie, will email tomorrow. not good for the waist-line, tho'. lol
such a beautiful person, our kiwi. Still miss having her around here. We used to sing together.
not sure where groovy disappeared to. are you on face-book?
tr7-40 please.....thanks
Same wo4 dif ending.
as i said, peach. substitute last letter for sometimes vowel.
and the ZOOZ is here...hello mate
same as tr7-32, excpt somrtimes a vowel ending
Thanks, you guys are the best.
rose, yes, I do have facebook but am rarely there. Kiwi just got too busy with real life. She found a loving new man and her children keep her busy too.
Hello, all :-)
hiya zooz! *hugs* How are you today? Preparing for boothsales?
Hi there, zooz.
good morning
and there's ruby too, hi hun :)
Teehee ((Sprite)) you know me so well..i am..got five mins before i go!
{{sprite}} did you have storms yesterday? We finally got out much-needed rain
{{zzoozz andpeach}}
glad to see you, even if it is only 5 mins, zooz
Helo, Ruby!
HI there, Ruby. Do hope all is well with your world.
Was going to stealth babble for the five mins but, Peach need a clue and i could not resist..lol...i hate saying hello then a few minutes later leaving.
oops PB for me too.
no storm, but quite a bit of rain. The garden loved it. And I like the cooler temps.
that's a "hello, goodbye"
(looking for zzoozz's word......)
la4
I rather see you for a short while than not at all, zooz
la5 alligator, ruby
Aww thanks, Spritey...i ahve been entertained by yourself, rose, puglet & joso's conversations though :-)
Yes la5 not la4 sorry, Ruby
very good :)
and with an n
Phantom: Paternal.
yes
so peach, how's your day shaping up
and then double the middle consonant and play around with that combination of letters :)
And i laughed so hard when you mentioned the new addition to your babble dictionary..Peniseed hahahahahaha
I think it is my favorite word in the whole babble dictionary, lol
See now i am off to bootsales..bye all..take care.
it was in yesterday's grid
bye zooz, have a good day with your parents
and *hugs*
bye zooz, have a good day
bye zzoozz
I have my eyes proped open joso.
ah, you are up late like me, not up early like pug
Yep. It is getting rougher tonight.
*hands peach some matches*
Thanks, spritey.
nbt and see yu la*** kids
yes, normally an s or 2 means alot of plurals, far fewer repeditive words in this one.
bye ruby
bye ruby, have a good one
it is a tough grid for a big one, yeah.
hey...back...just finished scoffing dinner, chicken, penne pasta, sun-dried tomatos and spinach...and, oh, yeah, grated parmesan cheese. you just got to have the cheese. are either of sprite or joso tuned into motoGP?
omg am drooling... one of my favorite meals, that, rose. And no, sorry. I don't have TV in my room even.
awww, sprite, is it bed-time sweetie?
no, couldn't find it on tv, and a fee involved for internet acess
not even close, rose! It is noon time here. 4 minutes to hiccup time.
Good night, my peeps. I'm heading for my pillows. See you later today.
omg, 3 just came off...OUCH!!!
nicht, peach, sleep well and dream even better, hun.
night*
night, peach. do so hope you have a lovely sleep.
what has happened to my spell check, must look like an ignoram, ingrnam, iggynom, dumb
oh I hate to see people going off.
lolol joso... and no you don't at all
g'nite peach
sorry, sprite, of course it's during the day there. *sigh*
no problem, rose, it is hard to keep up with all the timezones in babble.
what time is it for you, joso?
roflo, joso...if it helps, you don't look as bad as a third-grader.
tnx gran... that helps soooooo much
Hey I made it back!
knew it would, joso. * giggle *
me, almost 6
hey pugs...nice, hun, welcome back
what time there pug, 7?
wb pug!
its 6 am and thanks guys
6 am or 6 pm? I think pm?
canada has so many timezones.
Its 6am-sunday morning
so if I am correct, we arrive at a new day in this order: australia, canada, europe, us.
thats why I say when we pray for each other we have prayers upon us around the clock
hmmm, i think that is right, sprite
Rose is first on everything! lal
we do indeed, pug. It is a strong prayer circle. Or positive thoughts/vibes circle.
yep, rose is our leading lady
AND YOU HAD BETTER REMEMBER THAT!!!, pugs.
lolol
does that make me a prima donna?
lol! If thats the title you want, its okay with me
Sunrise moves west - Australia, Asia, Europe, US/Canada. And good morning/evening depending where you are.
hi Haz, how lovely to see you. How is the new dog? Am so sorry, I forgot his name. Ramsey?
dont think Ive meet you before Haz! Hi and its nice meeting someone new
g'day haz
ah, then it is 6 am for joso, not pm.
Hello, sprite. Dempsey - and he's quietly under the desk for the moment.
Hello, puglet. I don't know if I qualify as being someone new.
haz is my friend...
Haz is one of the original crew, puglet. An incredibly smart lady with a ver well-developed sense of language and a tongue-in-cheek sense of humour.
Who is beginning to blush.
Dempsey, that was it. So sorry. Not lack of interest, just brain failing. Has he become a strong and happy member of your family?
oh, yeah!! when haz lets fly, duck for cover....*giggle*
Dempsey has become quite a character. He's living in the glory of having been one of the best dogs at 'Sit and Stay' in his training class.
rehi all
lol--thats saying alot if she can make you run for cover-Rose
reHi Joso
Oh, I'm a reformed character, rose. Since I got my diploma in diplomacy at the Henry Kissinger school, I'm sweetness and light.
welcome back, joso
What breed is he Haz
so it was a Kiss-inger school too, Haz?
He's a blue roan cocker spaniel, puglet. Very pretty and just over a year old so lots of energy and charm.
Respectful handshakes only and lots of bowing.
oh Haz, you may enjoy my new profile lists... a babble dictionary of wo4s that should be wo4, and a glossary of babble idiom.
And I have to go. Sister arrived for dinner. Bye!
bye Haz, have a grand time.
Will read it later, sprite... Must dash to kitchen!
lots of bowing... very ja5-like.
nice to meet you and bye Haz
haz...you have never been anything but tact and diplomacy with me...was yanking your lariat...hope to catch you another time, hun.
sprite the Ja5 is 5what
ja5/22
thank you
Haz is a good one. An integer one. And she has George Clooney in her closet.
I met another the other day named --mouse that seemed very nice
cant recall the first part of the name
pugs, ja5, name of a country?
rachmouse or demouse, I think
ths got it
demouse! that was it--thanks Sprite
yvw :) I don't think I met demouse yet. Glad you had a good talk :)
I think we talked about this last week but have you heard anything from moonwolf?
nothing still, puglet. I hope she is ok.
yeah me too.
I bet Rose has already gotten her fws--Have you Sprite
no, I still have 61 left. No speed at all today.
yippee!! i think the motoGP is in holland next week...maybe you will be able to see what drives your g/rose .
i,m at 120, laboring along untill distracted by the chat
I will give it a try, rose, though I am afraid that is one thing we don't have in common. I can't watch people wreck themselves.
same here, joso, and doing some other computerstuff in the meantime as well. Very pleasant :)
I got you all beaten I got 142 for last place
I got you all beaten I got 142 for last place
sprite, i watch to see the incredible expertise these young men display. it's absolutely breath-taking.
you take the cake, pug :) But you have to share!
Rose, what got you into motor racing?
I think 120 is behind 142
rose... I think I understand what you mean. It may be the ptsd acting up. For me, it is too much noise, too many people hoping for an accident and too scary for me to see those accidents happen.
I need 142 yet Joso
pugs, my DH...i like to share his interests. and sprite, my mistake, next weekend is the british motoGP, at silverstone.
ah, ok you win, but you did cut out for a few hours
{{hugs}} sprite, i understand you, hun...xoxox
no problem, rose :)
actually Iam not very good at conversatin person to person --I talk more on here--beleive that? lal
Am ok one on one, but in a crowd I am a dormouse
you would talk with us... I have no doubt of that. You wouldn't believe how quickly ruby and I hit it off. It didn't feel strange for more than a few minutes.
oh, same here, joso. Can't handle crowds. Not even the tiny ones you get on birthday visits.
Rose is this your last week at home or do you have two more
could I get help for the en5/12? I have a severe case of babble blindness.
pugs, one more week, then a review on the 3rd september.
I can enjoy a crowd at times, but I am never the center of attention, eg both my brothers are louger than I.
sprite, cut 3 letters off huge
they better be careful with you, rose. Is your DIL still helping you? You have to make sure you don't make anything worse by going to work.
omg there is an M. Never saw it. Thanks rose!
*smiling* sprite, i am taking it very cautiously.
are you looking forward to returning
strangely, pugs, yes, i am. i guess i am an adrenaline junky after all.
drop the e and m gets used again
ok rose :D Just worried about you.
well you must have some close co-workers
sprite, before this time off, wasn't aware of the passive manipulation going on.
it is beautiful work that you do, rose. I can imagine you miss it.
I always enjoyed working. Of course its nice to have a break but after awhile it get boring
so the rest cleared your view? That is a great thing. On4 you know, you can refuse to play that game.
that sounds interesting, if bothersome rose
I have been declared 100% unable to work and have been on a disability benefit for years. I am never bored though. But yes, being part of something productive... I do miss that.
and when i do go back...am taking some work-related magazines with me. if the boss isn't around to tell me what to do next, i'm gonna sit there and read said magazines until she shows up.
very good, rose!
and the reading of said mags, counts as education points.
Its been about 6 years that Ive worked outside the home and I miss mingling with outsiders
and the extra money too-lal
pa 8,50 - clue please
Rose do you have to chart every little thing you do as we do here
over here, one hour of reading/education counts as one 1 education point. we have to 'earn' 20 education points/year to keep our registration.
I've always found it easier to work at work than at home, not a self starter at home but am at work
hi gran, past tense of little feet on the roof
so it is regular work, that is smart, rose
I would love to work from home, joso. When it comes to work, I am pretty disciplined.
Sprite what kind of work did you do before?
pa8, pa*, pots and pa*s, implements for cooking + a***ic acid, vinegar + short thank-you
I used to decide if people got an unemployment benefit and if they did, make sure everything was processed and checked.
so you worked at a unemployment office
yes, pugs. every minute must be documented. pain in the neck!!!
yes, that is it.
Thansk and finished
to me that was the worse of doing the job. but I understand the need
WTG GRAN!!!!
congrats gran
congrats Gran
wtg gran!
thanks for the other pa8
if you were still there Sprite you wouldnt have any fingers left with the way jobs are now(or is here anyway)
I liked the job, puglet... I always said I got paid for solving puzzles all day. It was the organisation (and 3 colleagues) that landed me in a major meltdown.
are jobs hard to come by there
depends on your age and education here. Young and well-educated can start today. Not educated but willing to work hard too. Older and/or not well educated have trouble.
jobs here have been short for the last few years
it is about time the economy goes into an upward spiral.
Rose, I fixed my girlfriend one of those coffee drinks and she liked it very well
as i point out to al, prospective employers...do you wa4 experience, dedication, and enthusiasm or do you want someone who has learnt out of a text book?
Has the economy been bad there too Sprite
exactly, rose
yes, quite bad, pug
not too bad here, bit of a dip but not much
and so many young people are just not dedicated. They wa4 everything to be fun and suited to their desires... they don't see things through when they hit a tough spiel.
When I worked at the factories there were people with high education that was doing the same job as I because they couldnt find jobs
baCK FROM LUNCH WITH MR. NASTY.
baCK FROM LUNCH WITH MR. NASTY.
I got a neighbor that his factory closed and he was a big wheel in it and he couldnt find a job due to too much education and experence
wEHAVE A FIGHT EVERY TIME i ASK HIM (NICELY) TO PUT ON HIS SEATBELT
HI YA RUBY!
whoops, sorry for shouting
welcome back, ruby. Sorry it was bad.
oh, yeah, pugs. years ago, i warned my immediate superior, to be polite to the ward orderlies. she would never listen...most of them were final year medical students or lawyers. for goodness sakes!!!
{{ruby}} xoxoxox
I wouldn't ask him anymore, then, ruby. When he drives alone, he doesn't wear it either... not worth the fight.
lunch was OK (the place on the lake where we went ith you,Sprite), but he is just such a jerk
omg yes rose... being polite to your people is so important.
I wouldn't care except for the "ding ding ding" it makes (which he doesn't hear)
Ruby --My dh might be a twin to yours-lal
aw sweetie... he is not a jerk... but he does act like one, that is for sure.
sprite!! what is it about some nurses which makes them incapable of recognising others achievements??
but yours is much younger, pugs!
oh I loved that place, ruby. The best lunch I had in ages. And such nice people.
I really have no idea, rose! Must be some power thing. Some people can't handle that.
maybe Ruby--that just means many more years to come of it-lal
it's amazing what a little bit of power does to some people
{{little pugs}}
exactly, joso
aw pug... if it is unbearable, make sure you kick him out before he gets too old for that.
Hes 68 and act 5 with fits
why isn't le**to a word?
*giggle* joso. the same nurse could not work out, when she gave me the worst behaved patients on her shift, they became the best behaved on mine.
that's funny, rose
may I have stats and/or a clue for the 9, pls
there are just some people that should not be nurses or whatever
pa9, past tense, like when you have a floral print allover.
ty, sprite
ruby, past tense wo4, pa9, repetitive sequence, past tense
lol rose... that figures. A little bit of respect and humour goes a long way. I was so very happy with the nurses when Rob was in hospital. So friendly and helpful and respectful. Makes all the difference.
when I was hospitalized with C and had private-uty nurses, I had to fire some, even in my muddled state for handling me too roughy
we had a young lady that had tried to kill herself(she was in her 40's) she couldnt feed herself so we did but a new cna we hired ,I caught sitting in her room eating the patient's food--now how awful is that
sprite, to my way of thinking, if a cuppa cha and pain-killers help a patient to sleep, well, bring them on. the other nurse would never extend herself.
omg pug... that is sick.
thats just one of many things I seen going on in the home
you understand how it is to be a patient, rose, and you care. The other nurse apparently does neither.
for goodness sake, pugs...that's just appalling.
I hope that cna was fired
No she wasent--can you believe that
no, that is hard to believe indeed. It shows how totally unfit she is for this job.
I went to that room 3 times before turning her in to make sure I was seeing what I saw
pugs, some care facilities close ranks. more's the pity!!!
rose, could you help me with la7/28? Brain is not doing its thing today.
I don't think power corrupts, I think it reveils a persons true nature. not all with power go bad, their are your lincons, ghandis, washingtons, and mandela
la7 turn on the portable light, sprite
sprite, an appliance to provide light, before electricity
omg... how blind can one be. Thank you both very much.
lol...yay sprite
sprite needed the portable light
very true, joso. It is just like alcohol. It brings out what is otherwise hidden beneath the surface.
well dear friends Iam heading down to the campgrounds to have coffee with my girlfriend so I hope to catch you all tomorrow. hugs all around!
lol ruby, exactly
hey, they don't call me flo nightingale for nothing...lolol
not even half but falling asleep
enjoy, puglet! *hugs*
see you kids la***
ah, time for a nice nap then, ruby. Have a good one. I am thinking of you both
{{pugs}} et al
we had a prime minster that power revield he was totaly batsh*t
{{sprite and rose}} and even joso!
*sigh* my back is killing me today and my family is too busy to make me something to eat.
how frustrating, joso.
bye ruby, sleep well
*woof*
sprite, my poor darling. could you possibly log into 'vitacost' site, in the us of a. they have magnesium malate, 1250mg tablets, a bottle of 180 tablets for about $9 american, plus postage. i am thinking this would help you sooo much.
magnesium malate? Am gonna see if they have that here as well, hold on.
have a good one, ruby, sweetheart.
since i started on it, back pain an absolute minimum.
yes, easily obtainable here. Thanks rose, am gonna buy it tomorrow and get myself started on it. How much do you advice?
same magnesium fixed mother mac's night-cramps almost completely gone, and my mother's rheumatica also down to a minimum.
oh! I have often cramp in my leg too. Thanks so much, rose. Just read what it does etc and looks like an absolute must for me.
sprite, take three tabs of 1250mgs at night, and another 1 in the morning if back pain obvious then.
perfect. All at night because it is best absorbed by the body when you sleep?
yes, love. and the 1 in the morning is quickly absorbed, if you need it.
BUT you have to wait 15 minutes for full potency
AND you shouldn't go in swimming after for what, an hour?
very good. Am gonna do that. Gonna take good care of myself, even with food supplements.
yeah, a good hour
oh, my, gosh, the lead in motoGP has changed 3 times in the last minute.
ok, that is good information, thanks hursh, and hi :)
that's just princess bride quotes... for miracle pill... not actually relevant to your case...
hello
lol ok... I thought, magnesium... muscles... don't swim... makes sense.
hi mlfan
first column bottom O stats please?
hi sprite
yeah, hurshy. magnesium quiets excited muscles....which is why sprite and i have muscular pain in the am also. and heavy exercise should be avoided for a few hours, or else the beneficial effects of the magnesium is lost.
I love the Princess Bride. Oh, my daughter hasn't seen Bridget Jones's diary yet :D
ok so it IS relevant.
mlf, on4/5, not twice
i have that one
on4/4...or4/5...ow5/20, 5/18

bye dear friend, *hugs*
bye gran
17 and struggling. But son was willing to make me some sandwiches after some begging. Eating and babbling now :)
I'm flagging now, got to get some sleep, bye sprite
I hope you sleep well, joso *hug*
hey, sprite...a small victory, surely.
yeah... but you know... when I have to beg for it, I actually don't want it anymore. I mean, jeezzz... I have to ask each and every time I need something... while they all know I can't do it myself. So frustrating.
jo\so...the last few hours are so precious...hope you get the max from them, mate.
sprite, remember what i said about a deep breath and letting it out slowly? now is the time, dear.
:) Thanks, rose. Yeah. I might go back to back after finding my last few words. Let them go about their business and keep low profile.
sprite, dear, be gracious at all times....
that is a beautiful guideline
*smiling at you* hang in there, dear. you will win!!!
:) I can't fail with such support, rose. Thanks for being there!
absolutely my pleasure...and just how many times have you been there fore me? i wonder? i have lost count...
*hugs* We make a strong team.
there we go... fireflies! Am gonna take my medicine and then maybe a bit of a lie-down. Take care, rose. A big *hug* and I hope you have a peaceful evening and a restful night. Bye all!

Glad to be of assistance
so the boy flew to vietnam on friday but missed his plane in korea so i am fretting
Oh, don't blame you.
What in the world is he doing there?
so he's hanging out in the Seoul airport?
Why Viet Nam?
♫He's a Seoul Man ♪
Oh, Molly. lol
apparently. . . i got a fb message yesterday morning and i am still waiting to hear he got off alright. . .
seems like renap should be a word. My first nap wasn't long enough, so I had to renap.
I agree
his gf works for an ngo that sent her there for 2 weeks and he joined her for 10 more days
I'm sure he will be fine.
he has always wa**ed to go to Veitnam. . .we tried once but the travel agency screwed it up. . .
i often renap myself
If he got on the plane, he can't text.
me too hego but you know how it is once you start fretting. . .
oh yes!
he supposedly got on it at 10 pm last night our time to fly to Vietnam from Korea. . . it can't be that long of a flight!!
once i hear from him i will be able to forget about him until he comes home. . .
Bet he forgot all about you. We just went through this.

clue for en 7/28
to ask, or beg someone not to do something
or to do something
and good morning everyone
hi Flosy and ty
hi hego, yw
gm flos
hi kj, how are you enjoying SF
I'm lovin it
haven't been there since I was 18 - and a very green 18
come visit some time!
ty flosey goy it
would love to kj - we'll see
I all ready for brunch but too early to leave?
I owe a visit to Ontario - use to go quite regularly but haven't been now for couple of years
I want to to SF too. have not been there in over 20 years. Would love to visit Hawaii too
sounds like you need to rack up some frequent flyer miles, flos ; )
I am going in a few weeks
lol, have lots of miles, just haven't been up to using them
lovely hego
I'm not up to it either, but I'm going anyway. lol
good for you hego, have a great time
ty, I will do my best. :)
we had promised friends in Greece we'd visit them this year - unfortunately, neither of us feel up to such a long flight
That is very long.
And then the jet lag for days.
morning, everyone
hello from baltimore
Hi Welki!
hego, ru is looking forward to your visit
Hi Dorens, why Baltimore?
I am anxious to see him too, Dorens.
grandkids!!! just back from two weeks in Scandinavia and I have returned their dog
You folks get around. lol
not us... they. My son travels to various universities to speak and work with grad students. He was in Norway this time, then a bit in Copenhagen. Copenhagen wants him back next year.. he's already committed to Zurich next summer
hi dorens... have some crabs for me... 1/2 dozen jumbo steamed with old bay should do it
so it's the grandkids who were jst back, not me
very nice
going tubing this afternoon kj don't know about crabs there
where are you tubing?
cuz I bet I can find crabs nearby - lol
dunno. son is downstairs right now... kids don't know- somewhere next door to a cider mill
maryland state fair is in timonium today... but that is jst too much hullabaloo
it actually is not that good... my advice would be to skip it unless the kids just really want to go
the fair? trust me we are skipping it in favor of tubing. grandma is lazy and wants pure relaxation
good decision
but do get some crabs! they are at their peak in august when they have gotten nice and fat all summer!
ok. will insist on crabs!!
can you tell I'm having a craving....
they owe me whatever i want after watching their 13 year old dog for 2 1/2 weeks -- my house stinks!!!
get thee to fisherman's wharf!
not the same at all... you must have MD blue crabs with old bay to understand
i do know. i have. just figured it was at least seafood. will send you some old bay
but the blue crabs won't make it
my fave's (though a bit of a drive) are at Cantler's in Annapolis
but Annapolis is a nice place to visit
def get the jumbos... more expensive, but much much more meat for the effort
will get there someday i'm sure.
ok, will do
I have old bay in the cupboard... maybe it is time to make some crab cakes
that sounds like a great idea
otherwise, Bo Brooks is right there in town... but they were better when they were in a dive in the hood... now that they are down in Canton, they seem less authentic
we had some someplace at the inner harbor in the spring and they were good
ah... Phillips?
also have had at ocean city.. very fresh, and by the sea they just seem better
yup, phillips.. nice place
we must get you to real baltimore!lol
ok. that was convenient to the aquarium tho, and the kids enjoyed
have a great float down the river...
thanks...
I'm making up words but the grid is not cooperating
at first glance it doesn't look too friendly - and i don't have mucho tiempo
it was friendly until about 50 left... now I am having to work
any clue for the pa 8...just before the piece of glass in a window?
the pitter-pa6 of little feet past tensed
kje..the 8 before that one
no idea
but will look now that I know it exists
sorry no 8's yet
ok, got it
pa8 is the italian form of an uncured bacon
ty kje! hi all, back for a bit
thanks kje...got it
ahoy aloy!
kje...need a clue before I leave?
(-: congrats, Ouwachita
no, ty... hagd!
good luck all
gonna struggle here while eating breakfast then take a break
am having tortellini soup.. what are you having, kje?
I want to know why the Nippon country is in puzzle but Joe Paterno is not...aren't both of the capitalized?
I've assumed is't because there's a metalworking/enameling term for the one.
wondered what the def was.. ty rasta
a brownie
too lazy too cook - lol
yumm, breakfast of champions
left overs here
well, I do have some left over thai green curry, but it wouldn't go well with my coffee like the brownie
true, good thinking
Good morning breakfast babblers! I'll take a brownie over my yogurt any day..lol
I do have two black bananas... I should make a loaf of banana bread
hi Jilly
ewwwwwwwwww
Hi again
Good morning, all. I channelled the British this a.m. and had an English muffin.
hi ruru
eeewww what?
and Judi too
and hego, wb
green curry and coffee
gangs all here.
no wonder you can't find coffee shops
:D
hello aloy, ruru, judy, hego and kje
thus why I'm not having it
Oh, I thought it was about the black bananas.
I'm avoiding sweets now so please don't mention brownies
bananas must be black and super ripe for good baked goods... much moister and sweeter
ate in an Afghan restaurant for the first time.
what did you think hego?
have never done so, hego.. what is delicious?
I was a little sceptical, but, not bad.
Pffth. Black bananas are good for compost.
just avoid anything with osama sauce and you're fine :D
The food was simple, but good and of good quality.
nooooo, they're perfect for banana bread!
I love afghani food... great place in Baltimore (somewhere else you must visit dorens!) The Helmand
The flat bread was delicious.
I use them for banana bread, but I don't wait until they're black. Heavily freckled at the most. Black is just a rotten banana.
oh, ruru
is doren here?
exactly une... clearly no bakers here ; )
yes hego?
phew, those c's were tuff
I bake
No Ruru, just a mild rebuke. lol
for the Osama sauce.
south of the Mason Dixon line, black bananas = banana bread on its way! LOL
oh.. you know what a Bin Laden drink is don't you hego?
yikes, gotta run! BBL *poof*
um, no
bye, Une
two shots and a splash :D
bye une...hagd
dorens was here, but has left to go tubing with her grand kids
here's doren - my grandson is climbimg all over me
Ick!!
tubing?... she's living large
LOL, ruru!
.. groan
ah! dorens... another place you must visit... The Helmand (and be sure and get the pumpkin appetizer)
knew judi would laugh
actually, i laughed too.
The Helmand in SF?
love afghan food. they do great things with pumpkin.. and the dumplings!
pamir in ny and morristown, and morristown is near me in nj
I had the sambosas, but will try dumpplings next time.
in Baltimore, ru
ruru. i still dream of that key lime cake
oh.. I think there's one in SF too
oh jeez doren.. was it that good?
I don't know if I could eat in an Afghan resturant. I'd be too afraid they'd try to poison me.
This one is not a mile from my house.
do you know i never ate dinner that night?
bring a sheep with you Judi and you'll be fine
you didn't?
do you know I had to eat dinner starting at 6 ?
just dessert, Dorens?
i don't normally eat (or drink) that much for lunch
Actually the servers were kind of rude and terse to tell the truth.
really?
I guess not with school and all
Hmm. I'd have to find a place to park my camel. And I would have to sit in the non-hookah section.
i know. and i'm sure you did a great job. you didn't eat two or three pieces of delicious bread. or 90% of the dessert. no, aloy... there was a wonderful meal beforehand.. Boathouse in central park
Kind of abrupt.
ahh, ok
you aren't afghan hego. :D
not a way to "curry" tips, hego
Or a man.
lovely day in Central park
just chatting away
did you leave your burka at home hego?
One Agghan man complained, actually.
when i was a little girl, great treat was to go into new york and have lunch with my father near his office. and my favorite place was Teheran. Persian food is so good. Needless to say, it disappeared sometime in the 70's
It's back, I think.
it was a very nice day... Ru brought the california weather with him. And there's always plenty to talk about =
I think that is one of the things I miss about living rural, the food options in a city are so much greater. I am just thankful that we do have a wonderful sushi restuarant in our little town!
If i had known you were meeting, I would have come up.
Tue jilly.
I'll see you in a few weeks hego I think ?
true
<----------jealous

Hello, Nan & Sprite :-)
Very luxurious, in my bed: D
Teehee.you are in bed early..hope all is well :-)
Hi zooz.: D how was the boothsale?
Rubbish...nothing worth buying..stil there is always next week!
Yeah am ok, just in pain. Back is misbehaving.
How has your day been?
Sorry to hear that, Spritey :-(
At least you spent some time with your parents.
I did..seven hours in fact.
Is this a new tablet you have then?
!wow!
Yes, could get one with huge discount... and I thought I'd liketo be prepared in case the clinic wants me to go intern.
Oh yes i remember you talking about that earlier in the week..good thinking to be well prepared just in case.
Can do without babble but not without my. Babble friends
((Sprite))
Oh lol this keyboard has an instant :-)
nbt, nbs
*hugs* my friend. Hope to see you tomorrow. Bye nan too :-)
bye sprite
This keypad is so small i can just about see what i am typing..but it does not like fast typing or it will not register the letters.
won't be here too much longer either - kids are at the beach but will be home in an hour for lunch
Take care, Sprite..hope to see you tomorrow *hugs*
Sounds like you have your hands full there, Nan..lol
yes it's been busy, but fun.
an 6, please?
english for achiote, nan. it's a seasoning orange-yellow in color, many cheeses use it.
no idea seain
a and japanese fermented soybeans
still no idea
an vowel and the double letter is the start
ty - new one for me
used for coloring things yellow and for adding a bit of tangy richness.
at 8?
Hello all, taking a housework break for lunch and babble
Past tense of the 6 before it
ty molly
Monkeys are quickly learning if it ends in a to try l or latin ending
kids just phoned to say they are on their way, so that will be it for today :) hagd everyone
*housework and weeding waiting here for Jilly too*
LOL, house almost done, meh on weeds...but I'll come down and do yours for a plane ticket and wine tour!!
She's very efficient Ru. She takes very few breaks and those breaks are timed. A walking Puritan ethic.
LOL, boy do I have Molly fooled!
we are definitely using Seain's foodie skills in today's grid.
Hello harp
hi
more hagd molly :D
*Wince*
so would have a good night be hage?
or hagn?
hagn
*covers Molly's eyes to chog*
time to get dressed and clean the house.. friggin' unreliable house cleaners :D
Oh you poor baby
I know.. it's rough
Plane ticket and wine tour ruru....LOL
I'd prefer a live-in french maid actually
only one tour jilly? you're easy
<----can wear a costume like any good catholic girl!
Cleaning skills not necessarily required
ROFL
you have to know how to use a feather duster.. just right though :D
<-----reminds ruru he's talking to a nurse....ROFL
See, this is why I don't buy that "he's really just a quiet, shy guy. Nothing like he is in chat." Right.
Alter ego? Jekyl and Hyde?
I am so very shy and retiring.. just ask Doren :D
or Jillibus
Don't ask KJE.. though
Yeah, well let's just say that Jill isn't the only one who has people fooled. : P
True dat!
We are all just lovable PC people here in babbleworld
see you all later.. have a lovely day or HALD
think of me cleaning and being cranky
<------hands feather duster off to ruru
See? Jill isn't really a responsible, nurse, church lady type. She's a 16 year old skateboard dude who says things like "true dat" and "in da house".
she didn't fool me for a minute
that's why she couldn't make the drive to Bozeman :D
<-----dusting off smudges on halo
Kind of the Jay in Jay and Silent Bob.
Guess I have to take some kind of punishment for that offense ruru....
Well, at least you didn't stand him up in a coffee shop Jill. : P
yes.. I'll have to think of something special
there are no coffee shops in Bozeman>... I wouldn't have fallen for that one
*covers mouth to prevent further comment*
Hey, there is a GREAT one on East Main!! AND a new Thai place that rocked when we were there in June
Dude, it rocked.
fer sure
IT was EPIC
Just for variety, I think today I'll go after the letters that have prime numbers. So I'll start with J (3), then the center E, then maybe the C's.
What can I say, spending the last 5 years in teenage world!
good plan Jane
You go right ahead there Jane...but you said there'd be no math...
awesome, harp. everyone else off the to pb
*Whistles with a wide-eyed look as the prime numbers thing goes right over my head*
lol
math is optional jilly but the good ones can do it!
And I'm not going anywhere because I didn't call her ja4
Well there you go.
<---Not a good one
:P i was supposed to go to the moviesbu tit is too nice.
okay, but someone wake up the cabana boys
they are sleeping on the job again?
cabana boys? where?
Oh my, unfortunate spacing there. : O
ah, i see!
i am soooooo sleepy
I see the former NYC mayoral candidate is in the grid.
Tor...never around when you need him most.
just print your name and you can join me harp
so is doren
i nearly put mye foot in my mouth with that one
LOL
also the heroine in ivanhoe
It's okay TO. I think Peri's hard ex-boyfriend is still at the top of the faux pas list. : D
is 103 a prime number?
er,no, i was about to use unfortunate verbiage about the dude still being in the ra4.
Sorry, don't know. Busy doing quantum physics.
geez nearly every wo 4 i want to use is in the grid!
my carb laden lunch is making me nod out
Take a tip from Jill next time and opt for the almond and celery sticks.
celery and salsa today molly...and LOTS of coffee...Whee
i was starving, was in the market and ound myself staring at kraft mac & cheese instant cups. i knew i had to high tail it home pronto
*GASP* NO LEMON WATER??
ya6?
Sounds like what you chant when meditating.
i went to a community shredding event and i was number 200 in line, before they even bean. waste of time
Yes Molly lemon water too
oh are you on the flat belly diet?
WooT!!
No TO, I just really keep simple carbs low....but yesterday the kettle corn did me in...
I don't like water without some flavor to it also...LOL
i like lemon and cucumber in water. refreshing.
Will have to try that TO, it's cucumber season here
Time to make pickles
athat is a flat belly diet thing, skinny water. and i want to make agua fresca, have you tried it?
I don't have any cukes, but do have beets that need pickling.
No TO, what is it?
pa8?
italian bacon bzznbea
ty
yw
it is a mexican thing, made with fruit. can make it with watermelon
I just googled it, sounds good, but I try to avoid sugar...
http://tinyurl.com/jvl6hqg
Oh drat, must get back to housework....have a pleasant afternoon all!
Watching Dirty Dancng for the millionth time...
come here when you are done. :)
howdy folks!
you know, I have never seen dirty dancing!
WHAT?
Already had an offer from ruru..lol hig phandmd and sorry, but *poof*
Must see!
*hi
Yes, I know, shocking!
this is harder than yesterday's
anyone ever have back/spine surgery and if so what was it like?
not i
hello btw
hi kap
Oy, speak to me not of backs. I threw mine out yesterday and I am walking like Frankenstein. What's up with your back, Kap?
Just for fun, I put a yellow jacket in the paper shredder.
*Wonders if Harp pulled the wings off of flies as a child*
oy. i went to a shredder event and i was number 200. beofre it even began.
it's been an ongoing problem and I am getting desperate
you know people who torture insects grow up to be serial killers?
What kind of surgery do they want to do?
did you try icing your back, Molly?
i left. somehow i eel the need to get stuff shredded before i go away. though there are events when i return
What exactly IS a shredder event, and I'm sorry the yellow jacket got in before you did!
Oh Phan, I have run the whole gamut. Heat, emu cream, aspirin. It's slowly getting better.
TO, shredders are not that expensive. And makes it worth it not to have to stand in line to shred.
Emu cream!?!!
I don't know. I have done PT, chiropractic, ice, heat, tai chi, acupuncture and now I am pretty sure it's a nerve problem and I don't know why no one ordered an MRI and I think I need to go back to western medicine
I didn't even know they gave milk.
I love my paper shredder
Yep, it's the Australian unscented answer to Ben Gay.
it is so therapeutic
You didn't say you tried ice. usually you should ice first 24 hours and then heat. of course it is 20 on, 20 off. also, ibuprofen usually does me good. I highly recommend the ice if you haven't tried it yet.
I love icy hot and ben-gay but I have been impaired for a while and I think it is aging me
We have an emu ranch in my town. The oil from rendered emus is very therapeutic.
Yes, ice the first 24, but I'm past that now.
being in chronic pain will age you.
i am at this point ready to go under the knife.
i don't have trash so i ather and burn my items or take them out to a commerical shredding event
And make you tired.
ok good, Molly
Poor emus.
poor kap.
poor yellow jacket
Poor pitiful Pearl.
It does. it did it to my father and it is doing it to me. and my kids hate it. just brought my youngest to college.
chronic pain is aging.
Yes, i know how Kap feels. Chronic pain is the pits.
the yellow jacket and I are going into the shredder
You could always develop a nasty pain killer addiction.
I have such jewish guilt because when I was younger I was impatient with my parents and now my kids are impatient with me.
no guilt Kap, that's life.
yes, we all do that to some degree. life lessons.
Oh, true. guilt and life and yellow jackets and sugar packets
in order to acheive my prime number objective, I need a clue for ya6/24 please
I will be back in a bit.
one who ya4s
ooh, sorry, harp
that's the 36
it was just given by molly i think
Like the meditaion word. that starts with m
thanks, that is a new word for me
yw
Yep, that is exactly the clue I gave too. : D

the masks we wear...used to have a poster with that theme....
And Billy Joel wrote a whole song about that...The Stranger.
No need to be sorry Puglet. Asking questions is a good thing.
Is that song kind of like the one M. Jackson sings--The Man in the Mirrow?
oops mirror
hey pug, molly, pen
hey
HEY YA JOSO
guess pug is really happy to see you, joso... ;o)
I dont think I said Hi to you Pen--Iam sorry about that
oh no problem at all....just was joking about the caps...
good evening everyone;)
well I was kind of hoping for someone to talk too--its too quiet in here
howdy,puglet:))
And Howdy Crossy
hi crossy
howdy,penquis
seems to be livening up pug, hi crossy
howdy,joso:)
GREAT!!!
:))
how is the grid treating you pug
did you make it to the pool Joso
no, oversleep, was up way late working this grid
Iam halfway-lol Just cant get into it today---I think the heat is effecting my brain
puglet,my nook readers arrived 3 days ago and the mrs and i are in love:) glad i got them before they all vanished
Iam so happy for you Crossy. I got to put off awhile on gettin me one due to our well pump going out
sorry it is hot your way, puglet,we just finished a nice all afternoon rainshower and it is a perfect 70f
jet pump in drilled well?
there is something to be said for purpose made devices, no need to sort through 57 functions to do what you want
its almost 90 here where I sit and we've had no rain for 2 weeks or more and its to be hot for at least this whole week
poor hot puglet:(((
there is indeed,joso
it's about 70 with a breeze here....sunny....
the pump is above ground with a bladder tank if that is understandable to you
we had to replace the bladder tank too
i am losing it.got 100 words in before i even saw the hawaiian goose:/
my mom used to say if it had more than an on/off switch it was too complicated, was leary of the tv
i understand it,puglet,very expensive
Oh Pen I want your weather!I hate hot weather
we had that set up in a home we had in the 70,s. was a total pain in the arse
and had to replace almost all the piping. It all was at least 30 years old--nothing last forever
it's been like that or a little warmer for the last two weeks....
HOW LUCKY!
such a pain that my da spent 2200 dollars drilling a well, setting a jet pump down the hole plumbing it all up..problem was he never took into consideration our old plumbing that suddenly had to go from 40-65 psi to 165 psi!! lol.we blew every elbow and t-joint in the place!
yes, best weather of the summer...
its so hot I cant even get into the football game either-lol
bummer
Oh Crossy how awful--and when something like that goes bad it always picks the worse of times
of course it does.murphy's law #1 anything that can happen, will.
then we got everything put back and what do you know the hydrant pipe underground busted so had to dig that out and replace the fittings on it
not good!
on ongoing nightmare, all sorted now pug, you have water?
yep we got water! now one of the bathroom com, has a leaky problem from the tank into the bowl
ar7 pls
sorry, don't have it
me either Pen
ar7 a general flavor of ar6 below
*sigh*...that would work if i had the ar6...
that is fortunately an easy fix, puglet.you get a innards kit for your toilet now it is a all in one unit where the float rises vertically on a shaft instead of horazontally on a old style armature.quick to change and inexpensive(usually about 20 dollars)
ar6, ar + ding in car pannel
I guess thats what Iam going to have to do
ar6 - passionate, fervent
we have rusty water and things dont last long where water is a concern
welcome back Flosey
ah, good clue joso
yes,if your water is mineral laden, things wear out fast
thanks pugs, in the oven
and a whole house water softener unit is $$$$
probably make a second batch tonight
ty, joso...got them both
mmm I can smell that bread way over here-lol
if I finish this puzzle
mmmm...fresh bread...drool....
Hello folks. :-). Babbling from my new phone! I'm feeling very technical!
yeah I know Crossy
howdy,soodles
Hello Soodle
aha, good for you Soodle
good for you Snoodle!
hi soodle, rehi flosey
I have the poor kids tormented, asking them questions!
lol@ rehi..perhaps howdy redux;)))
I guess we are lucky that it all happen now instead of in the middle of winter
yes, blown water systen at minus 30 or minus 40 c here can be a nightmare
that what you had them for soodle, servants are far too pricy these days
though last 3 years our winters have been very soft
I done the same to poor Crossy about ereaders
was a joy to help as i could, puglet
and I really thank you too.
if it gets you a intuitive well built reader that you and your family can enjoy without frustration, then i am happy
Ugh! Rusty water is a nightmare. One wash, & your whites are a nasty yellowish colour. We have the same problem.
It will Crossy and Iam just going with the plain jane nook for my first one
I take my good things and whites to my sisters in town
i had to learn the hard way when they first started coming out.my beloveds sight was failing and she had not read in ten years so i made it my mission to learn all i could over the next 5 years or so to keep her in readers.it is nice to share what i have learned.hehe, was in store last year and was teaching the salesman about one model :)
Lol Joso!
ahh Crossy that was so thoughtful of you on her behalf. Its kind of the way I feel towards my sister. I try doing whatever I can to make sure she has a happy and funtional life as possible
a gift of reading is beyond price
dealing with mental health isnt easy and I wish I could bring back the perosn she once was
it is a tough road for all
yeah you can travel anywhere and to any time through books
Molly must be off making popcorn & snacks in anticipation of this evening's Breaking Bad episode. I must wait till tomorrow to get my fix.
I want popcorn and snacks. Dont really care for breaking bad as far as I know.
Ive never seen that
breaking bad is on my to watch list.i hear people talking about it,but have yet to see it
*Too early for popcorn and snacks. We just finished dinner.*
you are in for a treat crossy
Crossly. I envy anybody who has yet to watch it. It's sublime.
well,i have netflix all set up now with my smart hdtv.so once i am done my current addiction,i will give it a look see
My son just sent me an interesting article about the similarities between the real Heisenberg and Walter White.
Breaking Bad is a very dark show. Just a heads up for people who are not into that kind of thing.
There's a real Heisenberg?????
what network shows it
Yes, he was a German physicist.
oh yes soodle, a highly respected scientist, came up withe the uncertainty principle
just the sort of guy walt would admire before his moral decent
a cable network pug, amc?
thank god/allah/budda/the holy rooster i no longer have to bleed my wallet dry for cable programming! the hdtv was 700 dollars, netflix is 8 dollars a month the money saved by having no cable will pay for both in just under 10 months:)
Most of these shows base character names and nicknames on real life people. LOST was full of that.
Wow! I didn't know that.
wow Crossy thats a big diff. I got direct it runs about 90 a month
yes, puglet,my basic plus the next tier up to get discovery/amc history and the like ran me 90 a month
so,around 1200 a year for 4 channels and the rest crap
Nobody I know watches BB. It's extremely frustrating, as I'm aching to chat about it. Clearly, I associate with Philistines. :-)
since i was already running unlimited high speed internet,it made sense to use it instead
No wonder you got a new Jeep-lal
<-----loves Netflix.
lol, once the tv is paid for this year,i will save 1000 every year by axing the cable
I havent ever tried netflex
<------ adroes netflix!
adores even
i highly recommend it,puglet
especially since you are in the states.we here in canada get a watered down version of your netflix
'Weeds' never screened here. I found it on Netflix & am loving it. :-)
and netflix is a godsend for our overseas friends like soodles:))
I will have to check into it Crossy
You can say that again, Crossy. :-)
I wouldn't be watching Breaking Bad if my kids had not forced me into it. That kind of show is usually not something I will pursue on my own.
othewise soodles woul have 3 news stations and 54 football stations:))
I like football-lal
Is Irish television really that bland?
used to be,do not know about now.
What delights me about Netflix is that you can binge view or pace yourself, depending on the time available to you.
As my Whiskey turns...
my granny when she came here in the 70,s ,said she had a choice of bbc channel #1-6 :/
All my Potatoes...
indeed, soodles.the first thing my beloved did was watch every episode of lie to me
Hi Ruru

The process in which one cl5s one's house. And yes, Peri, some men actually do it.
haha, Molls. I know what housework is. and yes I have known men who did it. I hate doing it but I like the results when it is done. I recently bought a shark navigator vacuum. have only used it once but it seems to be good
I do, once a year weather it needs it or not.
my cat is upstair with me including the litter box which makes it even more difficult to keep clean
Brunch today was delicious.

Hi ru... it was good, but exhausting. Mostly work, with just 1 evening and 1 day of fun.
sounds good Peri
oh.. hopefully you didn't go out for coffee :D
We have a country inn here that does an excellent Sunday brunch. It's expensive, but worth it. They have really good chefs.
??? I drank a lot of coffee while I was there
*that's an inside KJE joke*
oh, right, forgot that!

Theoretically, finishing sometimes is practically always better than never finishing ..
yes....getting a reward even only sometimes encourages one to continue trying....
Is that like not being finished until you have found your last wo4?
lab rats rewarded every hundred tries at something will continue trying for hundreds more times without a reward... ;o)
*wondering if we are all part of an ongoing experiment in human behavior*....
Perhaps explained by their pea-sized brains.
You rang?
lol
99 more tries for your reward Tor.

a lot of money, but they last forever
i love my python inlays
and i really should get some vinyl ankles for outdoor festivals in the heat and rain. though tthe forecast is 75 or so
*looking at site* python will run you about $500

first son is not too far off

la7-32 please....thanks
I haven't been back for a couple of years because they came here
I remember the dvp build, pols promised not to build a highway, so they built a parkway
la7 looks like "made tardy"
peach, do you have la5/10? add to it using the sometimes vowel
la7-32, past tense of la5-10

hey stid! I read some of your plans for the house and it sounds it will be fabulous!
ay Flosey!
great beginnings, finally eh stid
have they given you a date when you can move in?
indeed, yes, flosey! AND I am starting to make plans to bring the garden back to life next year. We'll remake beds and bring in better irrigation. Since almost nothing remains of ornamentals or veggies at this point it will be easy to redo.
No, Optimistically before the new year, Realistically February or March. Pessimistically... LOL
another garden to look forward to working on
:-) I have lots more to post about the house, but for the next two days I am trying to focus more on getting this job interview done.
good luck with the job interview stid, you can wow them
I have so many ideas for the garden! LOL this year we didn't get any home-grown cukes, beans or celery, and I miss those little things. So I am determined that next year I will be ready as soon as it is safe to plant!
aha, so this is where you go to my lovely, when i'm alone in my bed? *giggle*
Thanks flosey -- I think I will at least make a positive impression. They already know I haven't had a permanent job yet, so something in my other experiences and training has made them think I am a good candidate. I know I am -- all I ...
ooops. You spotted me, GR!
and hello to flosey, too
hiya rose
you have a sticky beak here, too, apparently!!!
I found the PERFECT front door, saanich, would fit that door knocker you gave me beautifully. If I land this job, I will get the door. :-)
flosey, your grandson is adorable with the choclit smeared all over him -- I hope he didn't get it all over your car?
thanks stid, what a rascal - but he does carry his treats around for a while before enjoying them
I think his mom had the car stopped in a hurry to clean him up
maybe he thought he could absorb it through his skin?
lol rose, that's just getting fat unnecessarily! if I'm going to gain a few ounces while absorbing chocolate, I'm going to savour every bit
Stid, I plan to knock on That Door with that door knocker,, don't you worry! Anyway, if it's perfect, buy it, and out off something lse. It is adoorway to your House!
perhaps now he has learned, when it's very warm outside, chocolate doesn't last
please ecuse garbled language
true saan, a front door should make a statement about the people inside (our door doesn't, just a plain door - but that's a good thought when you're starting over
don't know what's wrong, too tired I think. But Stid, the Front Door is a special place.
actually we left a gorgeous door knocker back in TO - the people buying the house said that was what sold it
Nothing like nice knockers.
perfect timing ru

my browser froze up!!!
http://tinyurl.com/mg9tyut has one of the doors that would do for now -- it has been discontinued, so at a discount.
