rose: the nurse. Our docters have a special nurse who does all the diabetes, asthma etc help.

yes, side of the finger. She is very experienced. She used to be the doctor's assitant, but she schooled and studied and now she can do lots of things all by herself.
oh, good. there are less nerves on the si4. it doesn't hurt as much.

my grandfather had diabetes too, other kind. He had to give himself shots. And he checked his bloodsugar every day, sometimes twice, until he just couldn't get blood out of his fingertips anymore.

I love cats just as much as the rest of the animals. Beautiful, elegant, independant animals.
My sister is a huge cat lover and she has several(due to taking in town strays) and the destruction they cause is surprising!
oh what a shame. Cats can be trained to not do that just as well as dogs.
I like cats, at one time shadow and i shared the house with 7 of them

they have ripped screens and tore her walls and knocked things to the floor breaking stuff! I have had a few pet cats in the pass. I dont hate them
yes, very interesting to watch shadow try to tend his heard, very gentle with them but fustrated, they just don't act like cattle or sheep

soon the cats figured out shadow was not going to hurt them, then it was game over
when I had my boxers I also had tame rabbits all in the same yard. It was fun watching them interact
funny how animals can learn that some prey animals are not prey if they live in the same house, isn't it.
easy way to train cats is with a squirt gun, they hate it and it seems like magic to them as you haven't moved
and my one boxer(babat) would lay down and let our baby chicks climb all over him
yes, squirt gun and loosely rolled up newspaper. You never hit them with the newspaper, just next to them. They hate the sound of that.

My other boxer (dewy) was deaf and we used signs with him and he was good too with other animals as long as he was signed to except it

Sorry was outside with a hand pump water sprayer.but there are three of them next door..and they don't seem to care much about being sprayed...they run off..but then just come straight back..i have sprayed them at least five times now...just can't kep them out of my garden.

zooz, aluminium ammonia sulphate. it's a powder, which you mix with water and spray. do the top of your fences or where the cats get in. they will hate it.

my friend the principal told me that some parents didn't tell the kids they were going to the doctor until they picked them up from school and it invariably freaked the kids out. . .
some of my friends were shocked when i talked to my then 6 year old son about how his daddy was dying . . . i was amazed that they thought i should let it be a surprise. . .
i am always amazed that people don't talk honestly with their kids . . . if i thought my boy was too young to understand a issue like when he asked what an abortion was when he was 5 i just told him that i wasn't ready to answer that question and would answer him when he was older. . .
That's so sad they think that way........my youngest was 9 when her dad died, and it was on the day he was supposed to come home from the hospital.......she never forgave us for "lying to her"
since i always answered his questions honestly he completely trusted that answer. . .

Life is not fair nor easy and kids must learn that from a young age. Too many kids are shielded from life's harsh truths by their parents. Reality must be taught.
that's why i didn't want to have them ... couldn't learn to deal well enough with it myself!
I think there's a fine line between teaching them about the hard facts of life and protecting them from details they aren't ready for yet..............and it's hard for parents to see that line sometimes
but the truth is best in most cases
here's a funny story on this topic

at our family 4th of july get together, some of my cousins were doing something i thought was dangerous involving a chainsaw. i told my 5 year old nephew he should not watch, in case something went wrong - i was picturing blood everywhere and him being traumatized for life cause we already know he doesn't deal well with medical stuff, needles. but of course he wouldn't not watch. so each time they cut a branch, he turns to me, "did something go wrong?". "no". after a few times of this, i said, "you'd KNOW if something went wrong." "how would i know?" "there would be lots of yelling." "OH! i'm not prepared for that!"

The stats wud show more if they knew you were taking over until the end of the year. They would have respected you MUCH sooner and done so much better.
I just hope that in years to come they remember that I told them the truth, and that part of that truth was that if they were willing to do the work for the learning they would do better.
