Morning Joso
hi joso
it's free sort of spell. I flew first class to NYC and loved it
g'day joso
hi pug, rose, flossey, ruru
hello joso
I used to do biz all the time when I flew for work. Upgraded the hubs once. tried to convince him it was worth the expense, but he's convinced me it isn't (at least, when you have to pay for it)
ha psychc
we're all done.. just waiting for you now
uh.. spell.. i have a solution
When are you going to NZ? We were there in 06 and LOVED it. I have a few recommendations if you want them
yes?
you flight upgrades.. and leave him in coach :D
no upgrades left... don't travel for work anymore.
I will take your recommendations.. i'm planing to be there for a month
But I like your suggestion
book him next to the bathrooms.. he'll never give you crap about upgrading again :D
LOL. He'd really be pissed off if I did that.
Then again, he might say your in luck, and let me upgrade in the future. ;-)
great minds...
even first class isn't all that comfortable either
but you can sleep for a bit
okay..i'm off for bed.. dylan is snoring
We went to Malaysia in Prem Econ, but the seats barely reclined. It was tough.

Hi rbud--not seen you in awhile
And of course new year is not new year without honey cake!
hi pug! :)
never heard of it Liz but sounds really good
believe me, pugs, it is so yummy.....
someone will have to pass the recipe
It's lovely - a friend sent me the chicken recipe a couple of years ago and it's become a favourite and the honey cake is my mum's recipe!!!
OK - time to go and would some kind person pass on new year greetings to ruby for me. Thanks :)
bye Liz enjoy
I will Liz if I catch her
wich new year are you celebrating, jewish, coptic?
too slow
joso, it's jewish new year...
ah, thanks, was looking at new years, there are hundreds of them
when is yours Rose and Joso? same as our Jan 1st?
about 12 years ago, when i was taking care of an elderly jewish lady, she celebrated it feb/mar....the jewish calender year is different to the gregorian calender year.
pugs, mine is the same as yours, in the gregorian calender.
yes, jan 1, the most common after chinese new year
no maccas flash mob...you tube video...taken in my local shopping centre.
no maccas tecoma will also fi4 it
the jewish holidays are hard to follow as an outsider, as they shift in relation to the gregorian calender. they use a lunar calender
As do Muslim holidays eg., Ramadan shifts every year
our area has collected 91,000 signatures on a petition to stop mcdonalds opening a store in our local area. where we live is very rural, and old. we do not want a mcdonalds. it will detract from our local cafes, and tourist haunts. the small businesses will certainly feel it if they are allowed to build.
good morning all
I'm not sure, have no muslim friends so never tried to trac them
Hugs Sprite
that is great rose, tough to beat a corp that size, congrats to your home town
hi pug *hug* :)
I hope you win out Rose
hey sprtite
our council said no, but mcdonalds went to the court of appeals, and had the decision overturned. :(
hi joso :)
{{sprite}} hi hun. weathered day one at work. and saw your news re tim...prayers for all of you, sweetie.
thanks rose. How did it go at work? And how are you feeling afterwards?
joso, there already is a maccas 5-10 minutes down the road...the company is just too greedy.
good reason to want it not next to school, try to avoid the weight prob the us and to a lessor degree canada have
sprite, i had to put my foot down a few times, albeit gently. my colleagues were most put out because i would NOT walk around the unit, and stand for long periods, in order to help them put away the drug order...tough...that's me. lol
goooooood! Am SO proud of you. I know how hard that is. You did it, hun :)
best to establish that right off rose, good for you
yes, joso. and to exit the site, the customers will have to use a side road, with traffic lights, which take forever to change. not a good site to build.
yeah Rose for standing up for yourself!
standing up for sitting down
lol joso :)
lol, joso....pretty proud of me...it's hard to say no to these people at work, after 11 years they are more like friends. as a matter of fact, one of them i have worked with at another hospital. total time i have known her, 21 years.
sorry to hear about the overturn, article I skimmed left me with a different impression. is it all over rose or are there other avenues to persue?
at least they should know by now that you wouldn't say no unless you really had to
joso, representatives are flying to chicago, maccas headquarters, to present them with our petition. apparently the press and police are going to cover/help our reps anyway they can. we had to raise the money ourselves to fly them over.
ezer in the long run if you let them know it is serious from the get go, as you did. otherwise how was it to see them all again, and to be working again? does everyone there call them maccas?
Rose, I forgot to tell you--The person we talked about the other day, came on mid-day and had a real conversation!
yes, sprite. i explained to my colleagues this AM when i arrived. i thiught they understood, but it didn't stop them from asking anyway...lol...nurses....the ever optimists!!
very stupid of them, and very strong of you to stay loyal to your body.
oh, great, pugs. that is good, hun.
ah, my favorite bodypart is in today
yes, joso, we all call them maccas....that's the aussie way....nicknames for everyone.
*grin* yeah sprite
.... sounds secretive, pug!
oh not the pword Sprite!lol
yep :D
nah I will fill you in by mail
yup, the p word, pugs. my fave too
good. I love your emails :)
i don't see any double t's, oh that's my favorite
hehehe joso, good for you
you had that the other day Joso
my least favorite bodypart was in most of last week's grids...
and made me smile
my worse was yesterday
started with W
hard to avoid toes sprite, they pop up all the time
mine starts an.
very true, joso.
It is amazing how hardwired some of our reactions are, they ran a test showing men boobs, a variety of normal photos and a doctored set where they were virtically allined, very different reactions.
that man that held those three women captive for ten years, hung himself last night in jail
ugh:(( up at 03:30 with a case of the non stop sneezes
aw crossy... lovely to see you but sorry about the sneezes
cann't say I really mind pug
oh yeah, joso, hardwired in our brains.
hayfever Crossy and glad you joined us
good riddance to bad rubbish, pug
ty,sprite.figured i would babble a bit untill they eased and let my beloved get some sleep
yeah me either Joso
you are a wonderful husband, crossy
hey crossy
omg....it's a crossy!!! G'DAY MATE!!!
how did classes go Crossy
howdy ,joso,howdy grannyrose;)
was a short day first day, hour and a half orientation
today will be full schedule
I heard you were going back to study, crossy... what are you gonna study?
studying advanced computer tech, maths and lots and lots of english
congrats, you found the school, vwala oriented
wow, awesome! Why the english? Yours is already very good, isn't it?
lol joso
yes,but since i was there already,i wished to top out on it to leave other options open in the future if i felt the desire
very good. I really admire your courage. Not easy to go back to school at our age.
it has been 33 years lol
english lit type of english?
yes,joso
which maths
advanced calc etc
there is my weakness
University algebra compleatly blew me away for the first 6 months, nothing like high school algebra at all, compleatly new language. was a new experiance for me.
oh,i am sure it will be fun...not
it will be. Once you get better, it will be.
worth getting through though, after that you get into the really interesting bizare stuff hidden in math
all in all,the entire experience will be interesting.ask the mrs if i could ask one of the young 25 year old classmates hotties to give me personal tutoring..she said no lol
Teehee..naughty Crossy :-)
Stats for the U please?
and just how would you get any studing done doing that?lol
hehehe bad boy
Hello, All.
hiya zooz :)
Hi ya Zoom
never hurts to ask,eh? lol
hi zooz
howdy zooz
un4/6
Rose was asking for you yesterday Zoom
you should have asked if you could have two of them... to match your age together ;)
good one Sprite
I swear i typed that in..thanks, Sprite.
Really, Pugs?
yvw zooz! Glad to see you. How did the boothsales go?
mm,never thought of that,sprite;)
yep... we had missed you on Monday.
yes Zoom --actually Zoom we all missed you yesterday morn
at the very least it would show you made progress in calculating, crossy
The bootsales were ok..bought a few things that i will never need..but hey it pased a few hours with my parents :-)
lol,zooz
*passed
I think it is wonderful you are doing that, zooz. Some good times with your parents and doing them a favour, great combination.
((Puglet))
yay,,,,zooz! hellooo
zooz, did you fi4 the chemicals, and did they work?
yes, calculation you take one crossy, add one wife, add two 25 year old student hotties, subtract one wife, add one divorce and divide by empty wallet totals and cube it all with alimony
Yes i like helping people...in fact at 9:00AM will be off to cut the lawn for my sister..as her useless boyfriend will not cut it for her..but i am not going to go into detail of him here lol
lol crossy
joso: school talked with Tim and he will be coming home today, probably. We will get help from school counsellor to work out the whole mess.
the first night we depended on the owls we had bought. it was hysterical , those possums were back-pedalling so hard, trying not to get near the owls.
lolol zooz... better not. You rock, you know.
lol rose, I can picture it
Hello, Rose..i thought i said last time..sorry...i sprayed it on both fences and around the base of the tree...but not on the wall near the bird feeder as it can deter the birds too...apart from that it seems to be working..thanks to you, Rose :-)
then the next night after we sprayed...nothing. was so nice not to have the little darlings sceeching and growling over our heads.
oh, yay, zooz. *happy face*
I have had those little darlings climb our fence and snatch our hens :(
was almost as funny when i pruned te tree at the end of the roof, sprite.
what happened, rose?
<--- Scared of owls & their massive staring eyes.
*hugs zooz*
we heard the possums land on the roof, scarper the full length, and all of a sudden they realised the tree was not there. the scrabble of their claws, followed by the thump as they hit the ground, had all of us in stitches.
roflol
Sorry to cross talk..but going soon and just wanted to know if you do not mind ,Sprite..how is it going with your son & did you talk to your husband about joint talks?
hahahaha..that is funny, Rose!
yes, I did, zooz, we had it out between us and are on the same page again. And school has stepped in, talked with our son, and we will get help from the school counsellor.
lol,no problem, zooz,it is everyones chat board not just me and my motor mouth:)
Oh i really am so pleased for you, Sprite..i know that is not the end...but at least now hopefully something will change..slowly maybe but change non the less ((Sprite))
I never mind several convos going on at the same time. It is kind of funny. And very babblish.
good, a councellor may be very helpful. I think something is bothering him that is more than teen rebelion, hopefully finding that out will help.
thanks zooz :) We are glad too, my love and I both were able to breathe again after hearing from school.
a councellor was the best thing we ever did for our family when our son was in the 10-16 year range
Your a good man, Crossy..don't take just my word for it..i have seen others type that about you here..just recently in fact :-)
joso, that is what we are all thinking. Something is wrong there. And it may well be some dynamics in the family, and if that is the case, we can tackle it together.
Damn got to go..Take care all...Hugs to everyone...byeee.
and then there was the time we wrapped chicken wire around the roof vent. they used to climb in and down, and sleep in the roof space. well, that night, we heard possum land on the roof, scrabble to the vent,....and then a very long silence. we could picture the poor possum, sitting their scratching it's head and thinking...i used to be able to get in here, why can't i now? the kids and i were howling with laughter.
bye zooz *hugs*
bye zoom
bye, zooz, lovely to see you, mate
oh rose, am laughing just picturing it!
ta ta zoom
tc,zooz
you must have lots of them Rose
just reading the word possum reminds me of Dame Edna.
yes, pugs. over here we are not allowed to shoot them or hurt them in anyway. unlike new zealand, where they are allowed to do whatever it takes to rid the islands of possums.
sounds like overprotection to me, rose... seeing you have so many of them
everyone just start eating possum;))
why? are they a protected animal there?
americans in the south eat them i am told
but no law against elaborate pranks evidently
yeah, hun....and i have to say good-bye. am going to a farewell dinner for one of our surgeons who is retiring.
Ive read that opossums are very dumb animals
would love to read a law that forbade us to play pranks on possums.
enjoy, rose, and take care. *hugs*
okay Rose--take care and will see ya tomorrow--hugs
enjoy rose, keep on sittn
i think i can count on one hand how many times i have seen a possum
same for me... in a zoo.
seen more bears than possums and if a bear want to get into the chicken coop..we let him;)
lol crossy, so would I!
I don't need any hands, racoons seem to have that nich nailed down tight around here
we have them here but not so much now that we got good dogs and chainlink fencing
oh yeah, I have heard abut raccoons being a total pest too.
our coyote population has exploded the last 5 years or so.keeps the population of other small critters down to a dull roar
that is not so bad, crossy
the biggest wildlife we have here is white tail deers
same here, puglet, followed by the coyotes, bears and moose then the timber wolves in algonquin park areas
Wildlife wise crossy is in a much more interesting part of canada than I pug
not here... the netherlands are too densily populated for much wildlife. Some deer, the occasional wolf. In the middle of the netherlands, that is, where the forests are.
our wild turkeys have come back as well.20 years ago we made a deal with kentucky.we gave them 100 of our withe tailed deer and they gave us 100 of their wild turkeysand it worked well for both parties for repopulation
I went on a camping trip once with our horses and someone had brought a camel--scared our horse almost out from under us--lol
are you on reclaimed land sprite?
no, not where I live. Close to it though.
lol, just had a picture of puglet riding the range on some texas farm..on a camel
that most certainly would make a picture for candid camera
perhaps you know sprite, when they reclaim land what do they do about the salt in the soil, I know the romans salted carthage to spoil the land, do they do anthing special to desalinate the soil?
yes, after reclaiming it, they 'mine' the upper layer where the salt is.
well,i think i shall leave you all for a bit.if i head back to bed now i can grab 3 hours of sleep and be fresh as a daisy for school today.tc all
bye crossy, I hope you can sleep now
night Crossy and good luck on your first day
tc,all((sprite))..poink!
good luck with sleep and enjoy school crossy
or they used to, anyway, joso. The mining made the land too low for the dikes to protect it, and somewhere in the middle ages mining the salt became against the law. Went on until the 1600s though.
mining reclaimed land does sound like and elaberate way to commit suicide
yeah... well, people turn a blind eye to later risks in favour of profits now, alas.
i figured out my spellcheck prob, spellcheck doesn't work in expert
ah. wel don't worry about it, we understand you just fine
I dont! lol
lol, bad pug ;P
you should read my sisters writing---its like a secret code between us-lol
hehehe
so Sprite how is it going with you -yourself
have been better, pug, but at least am moderately positive again. Had a bit of of a depressed spell last week. Spent most of yesterday on the phone talking with all the counsellors and advisers etc and it took a lot out of me. Doing a quiet day today... bit tense about son coming home later today.
Gradyn's father has invited me to his upcoming wedding and I feel like I would be bring bad luck to it due to his problems with my n5---whats your thought on it
no way you would bring bad luck. Go, pug, it is where you belong. Gradyn's dad wants you there and Gradyn wants you there. Best of luck, that would bring!
well no wonder with the drpression with all thats went on there. Will your hubby be there when he returns
no, probably not yet, pug.
do you like his girlfriend Rose? Is she good for your son
I don't know her well enough to say yet. So far, I like her. But her parents haven't called us to say Tim was staying with them. I find that worrisome.
I would too. Is she putting undue stress on him in some way
I wouldn't think so, that is not the impression I have anyway. He is more relaxed with her than I have ever seen him with his former girlfriend.
Iam really surprise that her parents lets him sleep with her
Is all this krefuffle derailing your efforts to good diet and exercise Sprite?
the exercise I have managed to keep up, joso. The diet... let's say, much less so. Not totally out of the window, but yeah, had some binges.
pug, I think her parents think the same as we: once it is clear you cannot stop them, better to let them do it in a safe place, at home, than somewhere in the back of a car or worse.
binging not so bad as long as its healthy foods----and true Sprite..have you called and talked to them(her parents)
I don't even have their phone numbers, pug. Tim refused to give them. I had not asked before the whole mess blew up here. Should have.
understandable, a fail should not stop you from trying again though, keep getting back on that horse. Do you find the bike helps you vent some anger and fustration?
well I guess if he was a problem there they wouldnt let him stay
not really, joso, but it sure helps me to exercise every day.
puglet, it seems the only place he is being a pest is at home. Other people are always crazy about him... such a polite, helpful, kind young man.
thats good in its self then. At least it looks good on you if nothing else-lol
lol pug :D Well, the counsellor said it proves he feels safe at home. Guess that is a good point... sigh.
I hope you can get to the bottom of it sprite, bad choices now can have long lasting effects in his life. Except for the family it's good that his actions are contained, at least so far.
we will do our very best, joso. have agreed to family counselling and all.
poor Sprite! the sun will shine again! lol--how long before your daughter hits the teens
she is already there, pug. She is 15. Right in the middle of it.
oh poor you
she into the boys yet
yeah, it is getting there. Very much giggling and whispering going on between her and her friends. And looking at boys, and judging... judging... judging... :)
Don't berate yourself about things like not getting a phone number, note it, learn from it, but endless self recriminations (which you tend to do) are counter productive. Forgive yourself and move on to solutions insted of selfflagelation.
will keep that in mind, joso. You got me nailed there.
is this your son's senior year
no, he had to do last year over. Exams next year.
And break those problems down into componet parts, if you stack them Up on top of each other they look much harder to deal with, seperate smaller problems have more aproachable solutions.
also a very good thing to keep in mind for me. Thanks joso.
is he then planning on going on in schooling
yes, but he still has no idea what exactly. I would prefer him going abroad for a bit, to be honest. He needs to mature.
Sprite, can he get schooling like through the army or such(dont know if you have these like us) He could travel plus get schooling
And something i see you telling others that i think is very good advice, while worrying about all the others don't forget to tend to yourself, give yourself an occasional break, do something fun, even if just for 15 mins a day. Whatever does it for you, garden, sit outside in peace, read a good book, or a trashy romance, scan internet porn, whatever works for you.
we don't have draft here anymore, army schooling is not obligatory for boys here anymore. But yeah, he might go there and sign on for a period of time. Not sure he could handle the discipline and having to obey, though.
once he signs it won't be his choice so much any more, heh heh heh
*grins* thanks joso! Will tell my husband you told me to do it (the porn, that is). But seriously... yes, that is good advice. I will. Am babbling now, which is definitely me-time :D
I will carefully drop the idea. Perhaps I should phrase it like: "I really hope you are NOT contemplating going in the army for a while, are you?" :D :D
My nephew went from kindergarden thru high school and never missed one day--he got a award for that and just last week he made sargent. Hes making the service his living
wow, good for him, pug! Good man.
my son is lazy like nobody's business... not much chance he will go to the army. But it is certainly a good idea.
I got a full day ahead of taking people to town to take care of their stuff and pay bills===not looking forward to it too much.
sorry to sound preachy, all I can do to help is advise and sympathise, but your suffering is over now, out of ideas.
joso, thanks for caring and sharing your advice, I really appreciate it.
would hate to see my son go out fighting though...
the service might do a world of good--who knows
I understand that Sprite
kind of the obvious down side of the army.
absolutely, lol.
Iam afraid we are going to go into war with this thing with syria. though I understand the whys of it,I still hate to see it happen
yeah, am very afraid of what is happening there.
is your country thinking of getting involved Sprite
yea, that looks like a very ugly mire to get involved in, but also hard to let all that suffering continue unabated. tough choice
what about your country Joso
doesn't look like it yet, pug, but that can change. It is scary.
anyway, that is fireflies for me. Off to take meds and do a spiel on the bike, I think. *hugs* to you all... thanks for being there!
we are likely to follow US lead on this one, current government is a bit of a US suckup.
also the reasons to get involved are better than they were with the 2nd iraq war.
If I were a person in a place like that I would like help--why a man has to be so evil is beyond me
yeah and we are still in that mess
he is really in a box, likely be killed if he looses
kind of like a hitler deal it sounds like
did you serve Joso
yea, no other country will take him so he can't leave. Pinochet was talked out of Argentina peacefully but years later they shipped him back to stand trial, even though he was garenteed imunity. things like that stick in the mind of a dictator.
Iam getting off to do a few things before going out.Enjoy your day Joso and Sprite.hugs and good bye
no, most canadiens don't pug, only got one border and if you guys decide to get ugly not alot we could do, lol
ok pug, hope you atleast enjoy the company of those you ferry about.
Sprite there is aso navy or air force which are a bit safer
Also
gm, everyone! stats for the lone E and the D please?

hello everybody
anybody?
hi, Ruby!
{{ibd}} late start for me after a crazy morning
how are you?
(((RUBY))), oh noes, hope the craziness has settled down for you. I'm doing well. have to get ready for work here soon.
not "bad crazy", just busier than usual. I don't mind; at least I'm never bored
are the furballs keeping you busy?
they are wonderful except that Moose Girl (Raffie, at 8 months, weighs about 45 lbs) goes after injured birds, just like a (hugwe) cat
is that an instinctual behavior for the breed?
we've had 7 and she's the first to do that. She thinks she's a cougar
I don't think it's much of a problem, I just cant watch
otherwise, they are wonderful dogs
maybe she's been reincarnated from a feline? lol my little guy used to bring me his "catches" *shudder* i'd have to wrap them up and leave them outside away from his fence. most were just in shock, a few had to be disposed of.
if I'm quick enough, I can rescue them, but as most have already crashed into the Windows, I think they'd die anyway
chows are truly cat-like dogs
half and will be back for a second try later
{{ibd}}

Did you lose electricity in the storm?

I type much better, clearer, faster than I write
no we didn't - but turned off the computers because there was so much lightning
I've always been afraid to answer the telephonein an electrical storm. is that danger an urban myth
I think it is

hi jmc.
Hello, Jmc :-)
mklien. . ..could you please reduce the size of your icon so I can see it
my phantom: lunch
I haven't been able to play Babble at this time of day since our son, DIL and grandson moved in. Good to see old friends again! :-)
How is that working out for you, Nef?
Afternoon, all! Uh oh, Nef has been boomeranged!
Hello, Judi.
It's -hard. :-( DIL is not doing well with change.
Well, hopefully the situation is only very temporary, Nef.
DIL is bipolar, and I don't know how my son has put up with her for almost 5 years. I'd rather talk about fun stuff though. How is everyone else doing these days?
Yes it can be difficult to adapt...but lets hope after a while they can move on and get things sorted.
Fun stuff: Going to a wee family reunion next weekend.
Sorry for delay...bit of lag.
Oooh! How many will be there, Judi?
NP, zooz. I'm lagging too; not sure if it's me or the internet though ;-)
I say wee because my family is very small. There will be seven of us.
Not bad this end, Nef...been having wonderful weather for a long time now..still in the seventies and it is September!
LOL..bless you, Nef.
Hope you have a great tiime, Judi :-)
Wow, Judi. That is small. How far are they coming from?
(I think it's a small family reunion when there are only 25 or 30; and that's just on my mother's side; so ignore that comment if it seemed rude)
We are going to my brother's house in upstate NY. Step mom coming from Florida. Hubby and I will travel from Delaware. Everyone else is in NY.
THat does sound like fun: seing people you don't see everyday!
My husband, on the other hand, has a HUGE family. We've been married almost 28 years and I still can't keep all his relative straight.
Oh, my nephew will be coming from Richmond.
Well done for the 28 years, Judi..you must get along so well.
Thanks, zooz. We do just fine. :-)
LOL! Same with my DH. His family is small and he loves being overwhelmed by my family. I have 58 first cousins on my mothers' side; the whole family (only 70+ now, the older generation is dying off) gets together about every 2-3 years now
Only 70+ LOL..like that is small!
I tend to get a bit overwhelmed by his family. Assess to elbows with everyone is NOT my idea of a relaxing visit.
Oh, dear, Judi. we at least spread out when we get together. There's usually several cribbage games and card games going, activities for the younger fols and food to feed the army.
I confess to being a miserable git..and prefer not too many people around me...not a good conversationalist i'm afraid.
It's always cheerful, however, the noise really grates on my nerves after a while.
my friends all laugh when I say I'm the quiet one in my family; but after he met my family, my DH vouches for me on that (we've been married almost 39 years; that's amazing to me!)
Oh that is the same amount of time as my parents, Nef!
the summer of 1974
ZOOM! You are NOT a miserable git!
We were married in March of '75 (Sorry, had a phone call there)
((Molly))
I have no idea what a "git" is, off to google it now....
Teehee.
Prat, eegit.
jmcnrick, Hope you are still here. Sorry about the size of my icon. I've been trying to change it, but so far have no luck.
If your icon is not old, Molly..then Happy birthday, Soodle..where ever you may be :-)
eegit hahaha i like that one best.
Nope, it's not old. Today is her day.
I bet, Soodle will be painting the town red tonight then!
Your icon size looks fine to me, MKlein.
Not sure where "eegit" came from. I first noticed it in some modern Irish literature I read. Gaelic for "idiot" maybe?
Yes, idiot with an Irish brogue.
That is my understanding of the word too, Judi.
according to the Urban dictionary, zoos; only one of those definitions (#3.) really "fits" you right. ;-)
su 6/36, pls
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.\nphp?term=git
I'll take it, Nef..not seen it though LOL
Ahh thanks..will take a look.
(minus the "\n" of course)
Hot planet + early morning moisture. for the SU6
Su*shine and morning *** (water)
ty zooz and New. Never heard of that before
Sorry but Zoom is not a git. No one thinks of that in any way but negative.
Mollyl, it looks ok to me too, but a bit distorted from the original. I haven't even been able to go to another image.
I agree with Molly. Zooz definitely has non-git status here.
well, Molly, I've never thought of it in any way before; so I kind of like #3. :-)
However, you may be a curmudgeon, Zooz.
mklein, when I first opened it, your icon in your profile was huge. Now it's normal sized. It's fixed.
Off to do some real work. See you kids tomorrow! *POOF*
Thank you Nef. I think I may have finally got it changed now. We will see.
fa
Just checked out the word, Curmudgeon too..there are many meanings for that one too..i will settle for, grumpy middle aged man LOL
so la ti do
Bye, Judi :-)
m
Hello, Dorens!
n o p
Teehee.
I am sure it is expert babble that does that..i can not see how you could write a letter or two in the chog and press enter without realising it is written in the chatterbox.
Babble expert program even.
Babble Expert has a lot of glitches in it. That is one reason I don't use it.
Not used it in years myself either.
wandered off for a minute there... I'd love to try Babble Expert, but there isn't a Mac program yet. :-(
I remember a while ago, Talk of a new babble look...but that seems to be dead in the water now.
The rumor mill says that Dr. God is no longer interested in upgrading Babble. Seems it's cost prohibitive.
ohhh. That's too bad. Maybe we need to generate more members?
Thats fair enough i suppose..maybe an update of enable is all that is required.
More members is not what would generate money. Ads on the site would, but I'm guessing that is not the direction Dr. God wants to go in.
Now THAT would be wonderful!
help! could use a clue for the pi7, tyvm in advance.. am once again rushing at a library
Well, I'm not holding my breath, since Enable has not been updated since 2000.
(the suggestion of an update of Enable
Sorry, Aloy, don't have it but am looking

hi all
em
Trying to get 100 words. Nasty little grid today.
it is a nasty one
*Waves*
Hi Molly. Caught up in the sc words and managed to get them at last.
I didn't find the grid nasty at all ... and I like nasty :D
*Cues up Janet Jackson's "Nasty Boy"
Nasty or not... After a lovely meal, more wine than is good for me, not one but TWO Irish Coffees, this grid can do what it wants! :-)
Ah, tis the birthday girl.
Slightly tottery, but here!
You should be tottery on your birthday.
Many happy returns, Soddle. Lots of candles? Or did you do the double digit written number candles?
To quote the Ya-Ya Sisterhood movie "And I don't want candles on my cake. It would be like the burning of Atalanta."
Or Atlanta
or Atlanta. Bad taste, though.
Thanks GMere. To slow down the global warming problem, I avoided candles.
The whole world thanks you. The wishes go your way as fast as thought that this day and the year to come are both auspicious or as it is Rosh Hashana, have a Sweet Year.
Get hip. They couldn't convince anyone it was global warming so now they are pushing "climate change".
I doubt if I get hipper as the years go by. Hippier, yes.
Ah yes, L' Shona Tova to all who celebrate.
With this I shall bid adieu. Take care of yourselves.
Nite G'mere. And thanks. :-)
Goodnight Gran Mere
Even if my eyesight wasn't a tad blurry, I'd find this a tricky grid!
*Puts some aspirin and a big glass of water on Soodle's bed side table*
Good evening!
Hi Car
Hi Molly!
Clue please for FE 6?
Kind of grass
No idea.
Sounds like an re6...the hero came to the re6 of the damsel in distress
TY! Wouldn't have gotten that one.
This is a test -can someone tell me if you can see my icon OK?
If it's a drawing of a lizard, I can see it.
I see a lizard
It is. Thank you. My old one was evidently too big, so I changed it for this.
hello babblers
Hi TO!
hi car!
molly is here...did i miss the birthday girl? and the celebratory cocktails? ;)
hi all!
hi sue!
hi TO!
I think the birthday girl passed out. The celebratory drinks were all at dinner. Wine, wine and more wine and two Irish coffees.
Ah, that sounds good!
LOL any cake left?
Cake and ice cream in the PB

What did you have a second interview for? I am well. Went back to work this week at school. I have a 4-day weekend.
for a nursing job on an oncology unit.
I forget who was around when talking about it before... Sorry.
Good luck! Hope you get the job. Stidmama just got a job,

Good Evening Everyone. Phand; congrats on the good interview! :-)
hi nef
Dang! It doesn't help to chat in the word box, does it? (Once more, "Hi Joso!"
not unless hi or joso is in the grid today ;)
hey all!
Hello Nef! How are you doing today? Welcome to the chog.
Hello stidmama! How are you doing? Welcome to the chog.
hey stid, congrats on the job
HI stid and Min! How's school? :-)
thanks Joso! MIN! I SURVIVED MY FIRST DAY!!! :-D
it was even fun... :-) Mostly.
what grade are you teaching
YAY, stid (we all knew you would!) :-D
7th and 8th, it turns out -- mostly 8th graders, though. :-)
LOVE LOVE LOVE this job!
so happy for you, stiddy!!! :-)
WOO HOO STID!
you make me smile for you, glad you are happy
And Min; how's your year starting out?
*bounce bounce* I think drinking my coffee on the way hope was silly. rofl
Min, how was it, transitioning between schools today? I was thinking about you, and thinking about how nice it might be to have to sit down for a little while...
Good for you stidmama! Our kids start next Monday.I had 2 days of Professional Development in my two new schools.
So far I like 1 of my schools. Still not sure about other one.
I am working under two very different Principals this year.
oh, you are still waiting to meet your kids. The waiting was the hardest part for me, since I wanted to anticipate who they were, and yet I had literally NO experience... except for a couple of kids who have transferred in to that district, whom I recognized from other places I have worked
hm. hard to balance different expectations, I think
"how did it feel going to 2 different schools, min " was not found in the dictionary
And do you see any of the teachersthat you know at either school?
I know 2 teachers at one school and just 1 teacher at other
DO you know the 2 at the school you like or the one you're not sure of?
nice to not be completely new, I hope you get to know the other teachers quickly. The folks at my school, even though I am part-time there, are very welcoming and include me in a lot of things.
Sorry, Nef, for not responding earlier. I was distracted by a FB chat. My grand nephew is in the hospital with breathing issues. :( thank you for the good thoughts about my job interview.
oh my, phand! How old is he?
Congratulations on surviving your first day of school, Stidmama!
(((phand))) so sorry -- shall I put him on my "list"?
just over a year, Nef.
and thanks. :-D I have a FULL day tomorrow (volunteered for extra duty in the morning) and then Friday... and then I am REALLY looking forward to Saturday! LOL
I would appreciate that, Stidmama.
okay, are you comfortable sharing his first name?
Cade.
Keep us updated...
will do.
a strong name, I hope it is a lucky name for him.
I am sure it is!
The two teachers I know are in the school that I like. They worked with me in my old school. I work very closely with one of them, so it is a good thing I know her and like her.
That is helpful, Min!
very good to hear you have that kind of support, min!
and now, with my goal for babble met (halfway and NBT) I shall depart. It's 9 o'clock here! So tired!
