I think you're right rose. My Molly was mostly pit.
rose, it is because lots of inbreeding and breeding for agression to use as betting dogs. If they are normally bred and raised well, they are beautiful, wonderful pets.
i had a dingo/staffy plus extras...she was so smart, loving, and easy to train.
i know sprite. i always look at the owner, then i know if i can trust the dog.

dogs just naturally want to please their owners. i get very cross when owners of little dogs will not make the effort to train them. it's a disgrace.
dog, owner and surrounding people will be much happier when the dog is properly socialised and trained.

my friend has a long-haired shepherd. he is huge. but she has been very firm with him. when we go out, he lies under the table...when a passer-by comes along with a little yappy dog, he totally ignores it. and then the owners have a go at my friend because their dog has become uncontrollable..go figure!

ahh, try using newspaper. and once he has peed on it, put it outside and take him out in about 30mins.
aw Jellen, that is a shame. They have a natural tendency to pee away from where they sleep and a good breeder can build on that. Rose's suggestion is good. When he gets it, you can move the paper a bit further every day until you reach the door.
I stayed down at the campgrounds longer than usual
also, as soon as he has peed, take him outdoors for a few minutes. That way he learns to make a connection between leaving the house and peeing.
