you're certainly helping, ru!
I see one of my dad's favourite says is here -- "F.O.S.P." = "Folly Of Self Pity".
A good one Jilli - shame it's not a word!
*sayings
I'm always annoyed that "erse" is not allowed here -- it's in all kinds of crosswords -- but "erses" is allowed here.
Just found the re 7 - good guess!!! But thanks to Rose for the French part!
First thing I learnt here was how enable is a law unto itself!
lol...np's liz. i always forget to use that ending
28 left - Enjoy the rest of your evening Jilli. BBL :)
toodles, liz
phew,, Cs crushed
nice jilli...

so i was looking at ausy time zones, do you know why they are set up like they are
i give up....and play your game...why?
I don't know, just struck me as an odd setup, thought you might know why
asked my all knowing DH, it's because of the distance from the international date line. did you know you can fit all of europe and the uk into australia?
I'm baffled by the fo 6/30 -- any clues available?
plural
jilli, it's a plural. add a vowel to fo4/8
fo5 fo4 + vowel
then plural for fo6
sorry, joso and i are talking at the same time...lol
ty rose
na does not explain why the 2 north territories are an hour behind the 2 south ones, I guess I have to do more research.
northern territory and queensland do not have day-light saving
ah, so sometimes they are in sync, and other times not, tnx, that answers it.
exactly, joso
good morning :)
{{hugs and kisses}} spritey
tnx, I get these mental itches sometimes. Very frustrating when there is no sane answer, which happens with humans all the time.
*hugs rose and joso*
love tackle, hi sprite
sprite, are you having a good day, hun?
:)
I slept better, rose, so that is a good start. Not ready to eat yet, but I think in an hour or so I will be. And you, my dear friend? How was your day and how are you now? How is your mother doing and how is Don? And MIL?
such a lot of questions...lolol
Hi sprite - glad that you've asked all those questions and glad too that you slept better :)
i also am sleeping better, today has been quiet, church this AM, blessing of the animals/pets service.
any odd animals at the service
hi Liz *hug* :)
Morning Sprite and Liz--having more rain and a small storm and it keeps knocking out my satilite
my mother still in hospital, mother mac still in respite. DH coughing a lot less, actually slept beside me in our bed for the last two nights.
lol rose, well, just have to know, you know?
hi pug *hugs* And you, my dear, how are you today?
joso, a love-bird with an irascible temper. vicar was careful to keep her fingers away from cage, bless her.
hi pugs, good to see you
Iam doing good
Hi Joso
no headache today, pugs?
all in all not too bad, huh rose :)
and joso and Liz, how are you, my friends?
just a real slight one
all fine here
just a real slight one
yeah, and now that i am not allowed by doctor to work at all, i am guessing the insurance people are going to act very quickly re my consult with a knee surgeon.
hi sprite
All's fine here too - beautiful day - had another long beach walk this afternoon.
yeah, sounds about right, rose
lovely liz...welcome back
hi jilli! *hug*
how lovely, Liz. Glad you are doing ok.
(I just emerged from the grid -- missed sprite's arrival)
pugs, take your meds now, before it becomes a major one.
It's always good to be back with friends. A coffee and snack later - refreshed and ready to find some more words. I love the Curves diet that wants me to eat 5 times a day!
always happy to see you, jilli :)
lol Liz! For the clinic, I have to eat 6 times a day! It is a whole freakin' day job, with the registration of all I eat and drink too.
brb, need more tea
Wow! 6 times a day!!!!
I have 4 words to go -- brb after banana and milk ;)
liz, it's a good diet. it keeps your sugar levels and insulin levels more even.
See, I started a trend for snacks! You'll feel like breakfast soon, Sprite ;)
Good morning - how many words today please
grin, that would be good, Liz!
hi gran, 104 today
104, gran
Thanks
I'm happy with the diet Rose - also high protein. It works for me!
high proteine is good!
So, a snack of smoked salmon on ryvita was just lovely!
oh man, you can wake me up at night for smoked salmon!
I love it!
liz, is there room in your diet for the chicken-flavoured thin rice cakes?
Probably, Rose.
i snack on them, with a small can of shredded chicken, lots of different flavours.
Also sounds very healthy.
And yummy!
*giggle* sprite, i am so in looo-ve with salmon. can eat it just about in any fo4.
you guys have the loveliest foods there
We have a very cheap supplier of smoked salmon in the local market.
<--- jealous
Funny you say that Sprite, I miss the cold water fish from England - cod, plaice, sole etc.
ditto, liz. i love it grilled with a crunchy salad and lemon juice
Eat a lot of salmon though!
Sounds like my type of food.
I'd trade them all for a cheap supplier of smoked salmon, Liz, lol
sprite, would send you some, don't think it would make it through the mail, though
I always thought that there was a lot of fish in Holland.
roflolllll rose! Can you imagine?
there is, Liz. Lots and lots of fish. But smoked salmon is imported and very expensive.
due to the weather my chat is going in and out--could I please have a clue for the do6
ohohoh...i found a supplier of herrings, smoked. i think i have fallen in love, again.
Ah, that expalins it!
poor pug :(
That sounds good, Rose.
pugs, do + double consonant + **, um, i don't know
I love a good old fashioned fish and chips, but of course all the batter and deep frying negats the goodnes of fish
yeah, true, joso.
Very true
got it rose--tyvm
unfortunately, liz, i eat them with steamed rice, butter folded through it...not something i allow myself frequently.
Sorry you're having chat problems Puglet
Even yummier!!!!
I got 3 cols. grayed!
go pug go
wow pug, good job!
with you, joso. nowadays i have my fish grilled on the hot plate. very tasty!!
Steamed rice - nothing wrong with that (using selective blindness here!)
thanks Liz, its a pain in the butt
WTG pugs - better than me!
23 to go :(
Also 23 to go!
lol...liz
I'm sure I'll need the list soon!
I dont know Liz, Ive been here almost since the flip
at the moment, i am so into baby spinach...
We did tandoori fish last night - on the hotplate - worked really well.
I love seafood in any form, if I could afford it I'd have crab every day
45 to go, lol
Have you seen the baby spinach and rocket mix that Coles has, Rose. It's lovely.
due to getting knocked off and my brain things are not moving too fast
oh yeah, liz
I like sea food too but not anything slimey
I like fish but don't eat shell fish (not kosher)
aha...that's what is making our joso crabby!!
not such a sea food eater myself. Raw herring, smoked salmon, mackerel... tuna. That is about it for me.
They all sound good to me!
crablegs and shrimp and lobsters mmm
*grin* liz we are having tandoori and yoghurt chicken tonight.
now that sounds delish to me, rose
That's how we did the fish!
you can't have bottom feeders either liz, like halibut and flounder, is that correct
so, pugs...eel is out of the question?
Can eat those joso.
I havent ever tried it Rose
Fish have to have scales and fins.
but snails or raw mussels or oryster just dont look eatible to me
I don't mind slimy, as long as it is not still slimy when it gets to my plate
I am with you, pug.
FW -- last word means "one of the flight feathers of the wing" so had to find it in morewords.
or crawling off the plate--lol
Fantastic Jilli. congrats :)
lol jilli! WTG on finishing!
pugs, our ruby probably would love the snails...personally can't come at them myself.
re 5/22
WTG JILLI!!!
yeah, ruby loves that kind of thing. Me.... not!
thanks, and thanks to ruru for a list.
My ignorance abounds, just recently found out why some jews say the sabbath is on friday, and others say saturday.
congrats to all those with the fws
congrats jilly
hi o-o, good to see you.
Sunset to sunset, joso.
it's because shabbat starts at the first star on friday night
ty joso -- and I'm ignorant too about sabatths-- please inlighten
morning OO
Correct, Rose :)
Even down to using Shabbat!!!
Like the icon-OO
can't even spell -- obvioulsy it's bedtime so faretheewell all...*poof
lol yeah, good icon
night jilli, sleep well
sleep well Jilli - sweet dreams :)
night Jilli
oh, the sabbath starts at sunset friday and ends sunset saturday, so one day long, but bridges 2 days
That's right Joso.
And that would follow for all Jewish festivals. Goes from Genesis creation story - it was evening and it was morning, day ....
liz, i worked as an attendent carer for a while. one of my patients was a delightful jewish lady. she would tell all about the jewish traditions, celebrations.
Rose you never said much on the animal blessings or I missed it if you did
That explains it!
slepp well, dearest jilli
Hope the comment didn't sound patronising Rose.
oh, pugs, it was lovely. our vicar is such a special lady. we had quite a few dogs and birds in church today. very special
That sounds really lovely.
nah, liz. i do surprise some people with what i know and understand.
I've got five friends that I've played games with for 20-30 years, two are jewish, but we never talk about religion
that would be interesting to see,Rose
That sounds sensible to me - avoid spoiling friendships with talk of religion or politics!!!!
amen to that, Liz, grin
though I love hearing about different religions. As long as it doesn't become a fight, sigh.
We used to avoid those subjects in the staff room and I've friends here, where I really have to keep my mouth shut!!
did i mention the two legged "animals" ? there are quite a lot of children in our congregation.
I agree Sprite
I think anyone that believes is blessed for they or we all know what is right or wrong in any house of God's
Animals is a good word then Rose lol!
all is well until one or more start claiming they have the only true one.
little beasts, rose, grin
Some people are truly narrow in their views!
that's so sad, liz. i work with jews, muslims, christians of different denominations. we all chat together, and learn from each other.
I have danced with most religions and had a marvellous time. Learned a lot.
I like that Rose. Sadly there are a number of very narrow minded people here.
I think it is because we have no one else to talk gaming with, most people's eyes glaze over when you start nattering on about how to win the napoleonic wars
another storm moving in, so might get knocked off again
Keep safe Pugs :)
lol joso... true
i find i can talk so freely with a beautiful muslim nurse. she so understands about prayer and connecting to God.
roflol, joso. * rolls glazed eyes*
In London 4 of us often went out for a meal together - 2 jews, a hindu and a muslim. Great mix!
*keeping a protective hand around pug's internet connection*
oh wow, Liz, how lovely
Day: http://tinyurl.com/ouh4zed
Funny the hindu was from N India and the muslim from Pakistan but their food culture was so similar! They knew some really good places to eat!
interesting, o-o
Good article o-o. Don't know many that think of a creation day as 24 hours.
do they, not, liz? checking out o-o's link
one of my new therapists (in the clinic) is a muslima. I already had a chat with her about her faith. And her headdress. Very nice lady and very approachable about it all.
It's always good to answer questions and to explain but only if it's wanted.
Imagine no religion. I wonder if you can. Nothing to kill or die for, a brotherhood of man.
Soodle - how's your father?
weird...o-o couldn't get address to work
And good morning to you too!
*smiling at you* soodle
hi Soodle :) I'll join you and the world will be as one ;)
works fine here, rose.
It worked fine here Rose - try again.
darn, sprite.
you take a look at our schools after taking God out of it and that gives you a tiny taste of no religion
dinner nearly ready...bbl
He's very poorly, Liz, diagnosed with pneumonia, and unable to stand. I'm just heading into Dublin now to be with him. Thanks for asking.
enjoy Rose
Positive thoughts to you and your family - did post that earlier but I think you'd gone off-line.
rose, I emailed you the links too
enjoy Rose
are we back?
I hope he gets better soodle, pneumonia for older folk is very scary
I hope he gets better soodle, pneumonia for older folk is very scary
I hope he gets better soodle, pneumonia for older folk is very scary
that was interesting
server temper tantrum. Back now. Soodle, best wishes and prayers and thoughts for your father and for you.
Grrr! Lots of comments lost in the tantrum!!!! Also time to take a break! Not finding words at the moment, so I'll be back later. Hugs to all :)
bye Liz *hug*
The server needs some training in anger management.
definitely
bye liz, have a good day
Is there a list anywhere?
lol, 26 words left and all on the FEORCS block
jilli said that ruru has a list, Marc
under my icon is list
axem
sorry

the Dwarvish battle cry, axem
oc 5/12
lol
re 7/52
oc5, co + ***ltime with bill mahar
do you want clues for those, o-o?
Joso there are 3 'a's' and you only show 2 on your list. are you sure your list is complete?
I am done
ae4/4, af5/16, ax4/9 Marc
ok, gratz on finishing.
I guess I truncated the first a when I copied the list, otherwise complete
thanks got all the 'a's' anyway.
good :)
fixed it
good service, joso ;)
all the women tell me that
lolollll I bet!
LOL, JOSO...of course we do...we are your harem after all...
marc, list in ruru's profile if you need it.
I, for one, have no complaints at all about joso
yep, right after I fix their computers, wish they would say it at other times
i'm baa-ck!!
I kinda had that feeling already, rose
oh, where you gone
rose went to stuff her face with goodies
*snarl* lol, didn't you miss my scintillating conversation?
I did
:)... oh, why yes, of course we did ruth
na, na, na, joso. so there!!
oops, ruby I mean
okay, johnny
Old English word "speech, talk, utterance, word," from Proto-Germanic *wurdan (cf. Old Saxon, Old Frisian word, Dutch woord, Old High German, German wort, Old Norse orð, Gothic waurd), from PIE *were- "speak, say" (see verb).
wait a min, on the tip of my toung
opps, josh
*oops* that bottle of vino kicking in...lol
lol, rose, thank god you are here
It is dangerous to leave written that which is badly written. A chance word, upon paper, may destroy the world. Watch carefully and erase, while the power is still yours, I say to myself, for all that is put down, once it escapes, may rot its way into a thousand minds, the corn become a black smut, and all libraries, of necessity, be burned to the ground as a consequence. [William Carlos Williams, "Paterson"]
hey, that's a good name for a tv show...
hey hey, no book burnings here!
that bottle of vino kicking in, i don't think so tim
lol, okay, you caught me out...ops is a good word
besides...toung??? what is that?? ROFLOL
oops used to be THE babble word. Before drG redid the site, the message when entering a wrong word was "oops, this word does not exist in this puzzle"
toung = too young
oh yeah, sprite, another for your dictionary
maybe he is tongue-tied by my presence
and in it goes
joso always is, grin
oh, dear lord, i am going to have a very so4 rib-cage from laughing
oh yea, thats it, I walk around in a state of perpetual awe.
good. that is what they call a healthy pain.
Could I get a clue for fu6/33, please?
better than in a state of perpetual ewe
tongue-tied ... a contest of tongues that ends in a draw.
The last one please
roflol. joso, how can you say that with your TONGUE in your cheek?
those who smoke, Marc?
lolllll o-o! Oh, quite the image.
or more of fu4/9
That is the first fu6/33 I think
first or second fu6-33?
ah, thanks rose. Yes, sorry Marc, only had the one.
2nd one
that would be rose's clue then, Marc
fu + **n*, a gold, diamond pit + hook letter
the snd is more smokey
what do hook letters hook?
oh dear, just read o-o's post...love it
thanks Joso and granny got it
like a hook, silly
upside down
when enough hook letters combine to a book, they will get me hooked
flummoxed to the max
and that is not easy to do to o-o
my job is done...lol
will be back in a few, have to hang up the laundry
maybe later, dearest
so are you starting to get bored with your idle days yet rose
bored? moi? never...have a bagful of gladioli bulbs to plant..and weeds to hoe up...
a piano to practice
oh, yes..the piano....i will have to get onto that...now that the piano stool has arrived.
*and i can hear joso's wheels turning* what are you going to make out of that?
no excuses left, rachmaninoff in the morning
awwww, can't i start with a bit of chopin?
watching a program on kakadu. apparently the crocs are starting to attack boats and their motors. scary stuff!!
rachmaninoff, then maple leaf rag, then abba, then rocky racoon, then in the mood, then breakfast in america
*runs away* lalalalala
then tape it and e-mail it to me
chopsticks?
in your nightmares, joso
Fred fed Ted bread, and Ted fed Fred bread. Who said, 'Fred fed Ted bread, and Ted fed Fred bread.'?
hello rbud
acckkk, o-o
Send toast to ten tense stout saints' ten tall tents.
you don't do requests
o-o...stop it...my tongue isn't made of rubber...lol
*giggles* I am ba-ack! Hi rbud!
in case you don't recognise it...quote from dr zeus
I am not the pheasant plucker I'm the pheasant plucker's son I am only plucking pheasants till the pheasant plucker comes
hi rbub
I recognised it, rose.
*ignoring joso with disdain*
I am not the pheasant plucker I'm the pheasant plucker's wife and when we're plucking pheasants it's a pheasant plucking life
*giggle* sprite
don't even try it after your 3rd glass of wine, lol
sprite, i have lost count of the number of times i read it out aloud to my children.
hi back, all - woke up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep... nothing new. :)
we have the dutch translation, which is also brilliant. I have read it so often I could tell it by heart.
awww, poor rbud
aw rbud :( Not fun. But great to see you.
can recommend a great doctor...she prescribes temazepam...
usually I'm STILL up about now, lol
lol rose :D That is what I have for insomnia too. I don't use it often. Too nice stuff ;)
oh, you remember the rhyme from donovan's brain?
amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts
sprite, took two for the first two nights. only one last two nights. himself is back in our bed, and i sleep so soundly, knowing he is beside me.
aw rose, that is so sweet :)
mmmmm, re quote dear. no i don't know it. must look it up.
good morning
horribly hard to pronounce with all those s's and th's and st's and ts's
hiya rose
hey ruby
hey ruby
ok, that was odd
hiya ruby! Sorry. *hugs*
{{hugs and kisses}}
np's sprite. ruby and i are interchangeable.
lol no you are not. Very different ladies. Both my friends.
{{rosie}} {{sprite}} {{joso}}
what is going on here? Elocution lessons?
yeah, something like that. Those fun exercises that make your tongue go all twisted
ruby, was telling how often i had read dr zeus to my kids.
particularly...blue fish, red fish?? i think it was. sprite, help me out here.
my favorite is the one from One Fish Two Fish... there is one rhyme with someone roasting wienies over a fire with a cookbook hanging from his hat.
I used to read my boy "The Golden Egg Book" "Are you my mother?"
one fish two fish red fish blue fish
oh, yeah, sprite
|Where the Wild Things Are", al the Oz books and much much more
I wrote down a whole bunch and then erased it lol
as you do, dear, as you do
phantom: fescue
as in Save me, foo the fescue?
oh, ruby, my crossword today asked me to identify the north wind which blows in france
Iam back!
wb pug!!!
{{pugs}}
yea, pugs. lovely
hugs to all! Not my day to babble I guess
that would be the mistral, I think?
foehn? foen? I think the mistral comes from the south.
how about bise?
Mistral blows past Avignon on the Rhone valley
I didn't mean to correct you, sprite, we were typing at the same time lol
lol
could be bise
or the marin?
was a 4 letter word, began with b
Mistral (cold northerly from central France and the Alps to Mediterranean)
northerly, so from the south, I think?
the Peruvian liquor has coe up a couple of times this week. Is Dr God on a binge?
looks that way, ruby
rose: Cers (strong, very dry northeasterly wind in the bas-Languedoc region in southern France)
I don't see one with a b except the Bora (northeasterly from eastern Europe to northeastern Italy)
bise is cold, so I think it comes from the north
thanx friends...
never knew there were so many special names for specific winds.
they can name the winds here, but can't predict the weather at all; I think they don't have a window at the weather bureau
lol ruby
if you want to see something spectacular, google morning glory...it is a long cloud front on the gulf of carpentaria
oh my.... rose that is so impressive! Beautiful!
off I go....time for lunch. Yuck
later, ruby. and sprite, it is, isn't it?
enjoy, ruby, and good luck
bye Ruby
http://tinyurl.com/yeos4ve rose, a link to a video of morning glory
nice, sprite. thanx
lol, just found the 7. Only 5 left.
yay, sprite. nice job.
not really, when one finds the only biggie just moments before finishing, grin
what a frustrating video, all about the guy and his camera, occasional glances of morning glories
yeah, but those glances are beautiful
tnx for telling me about the morning glories rose, utterly facinating
this one is better, maybe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V\n1i-BKQ-ako
darn
http://tinyurl.com/pulltec
joso, to me also...absolutely fascinating..there is so much of my own country i need to see and experience.
it's like some archaeology shows, where they go out on some expedition looking for something specific. you know they didn't find anything when they start to talk a lot about how they did the trip, photography, funding, yadda yadda yadda, because they have to fill the time and all they got was a big hole in the ground.
i am trying to show DH new and wonderful sights to see/experience. every year we go to some where different.
have you ever seen the clips/videos of the rissa, norway, quick clay landslide? totally awesome.
lol joso
no, I haven't, rose. Will look them up as well
Had to take dogs out to potty and noone wanted to go due to the rain--now WE are all wet
it's really scarey...the way quck clay works...
lolol, pugs....
reminds me of shadow, every time i'd open the back door for him and it was raining, he'd turn his head and give me a dirty look before going out. lol
now they are all licking off the rain on their fur and I got frizzy rain hair---my morning is just getting better and better
I think he had an exaggerated opinion as to what was and wasn't my fault
po
lol joso, terra does the same thing
I got a back door and a half of acre fenced in yard---but noooo I got to walk them out when its raining, yet theres no problem with them diving into the creek
sorry dislexic fingers
pop goes the weazel?
pop goes the weazel?
poor lil' pug :( *hugs* to you, my dear.
d:)
fireflies
baa-ck. meds ready, bed turned down, teeth cleaned. am i ready or what??

Eddie Murphy's Buckwheat was very funny
Been kayaking, Doren?
..let me think about that for a minute Doren .. hi
I loved his James Brown Hot Tub bit too
crossy would be proud of my breakfast today
Lots of bacon?
yes, scrabs, and i have beautiful forearms as a result. (wish it worked better on other parts of my body!) but have been enjoying the extended summer here. unfortunately, I had hoped to do it today but it is rainy and foggy
Just enter all rooms with your arms stretched out first Doren
Not just forearms--shoulders and arms too. I kayaked on the Moose River in Old Forge, Adirondack Mtns, last week--stunning.
good idea, ru
And on West Canada Creek in Prospect.
I made pumpkin pancakes for breakfast today. They were good.
oh man.. that sounds good
i was hoping to get to the adirondacks this month, but it isn't looking likely. Next year, however, i can go whenever i want
I love pumpkin pancakes, muffins, cake, etc
Sounds yummy Molly, maybe next Sunday
You're retiring, Doren?
hint for the 7, pls
i am indeed... this is my swan song!
wow.. congrats Doren.. amazing
I wish I were you
re7 ends with French water
I have 5 -6 years to go..
Wow, Doren! You are fortunate to be able to retire. I don't think I will ever be able to retire, or at least not til 70=72.
I'm retiring at 65 I think
(hopes)
I have been working part-time for 20 yrs so that helps me a lot. I have time to enjoy life, to avoid burnout...but I cannot save as much for retirement.
I retired at 62. Five and a half wonderful years so far
oh god lucky you Bichon
i am very fortunate -- they have changed a lot of the pensions benefits for retiring teachers, but since I had more than 20 years in the system at the time, I still get a decent deal. I will be retiring three months short of 65
*sets out rocking chairs for all us old fogeys*
If only I could keep Mr. Bich working till his 70's
LOL bichon
Yay for retirement.
Will he, Bichon?
Life's a Bich .. :D
<---Will probably be the one mixing drinks for all you fortunate people who can retire
rocking chairs sound good right now, ru. I actually just got a new recliner chair which is fabulous (fortunately it doesn't look like a recliner chair-- came froom Norway and quite modern looking)
now that would be something Molly..
:D
I have to buy new furniture soon
No he wants to retire at the end of 2014, when he's 67.
well, if ru is in our retirement home, we can count on a nicie supply of wine... and if scrabs is there I will have a kayaking buddy

LOL
hah! i had ordered it back in thte spring before i got great pics of my grandkids there. and have been listening to a book, The Leopard, by a Norwegian author. so you're right, ru
i would be a part tiime chef as well, and a resident wine drinker
And an endless supply of adult diapers
that depends scrabs
not thinking that far in advance yet, scrabbler!!!
Geez, I laugh and pee now.
Haha, Rurur.
this place needs to be on or near water for our boats.
*note to self.. don't make jokes around scrabs*
How is Dylan doing? Nice boy?
scrabs, that doesn't require diapers, just pantyliners!
Yes, Doren--lakes and rivers for us.
Nice chairs, expensive though.
Haha, Ru.
he is a nice boy.. still gets into trouble though
ah, you found the molly? yes, most expensive piece of furniture i've ever bought! was a pre-retirement present
I stayed with my cousin recently and she has a calm Choc Lab named Aggie. We had nice hikes with the dog.
how expensive?
I bought a new TV.. comes monday..
<---Jonesing for football
The one I found was over two grand.
whoa..that is an expensive chair
Right on Doren.. live in comfort
In 90 minutes, Ruru.
*puts bumper sticker on Doren's car: "I'm spending my kid's inheritance" :D
I like that one, Ruru. We are under no obligation to leave anyone money. We should enjoy what we have saved.
I have to go to some bar or sports bar to watch tonight's game
well, i didn't get the most expensive one they have, but it did cost more than the kayak! I actually had a bit of trouble doing it, but sit in it once, and you'll understand
I think watching games at a bar is fun.
hopefully scrabs if people raise their kids right
I believe in spending on comfortable furniture..
i've been lucky, I did get an inheritance from my dad which I kind of want to use to help my kids (pay college tuition for grandkids, help buying houses etc) but I do intend to spend a bit on myself as well
As long as you are going to sit in it and enjoy it. I know people who spend godawful amounts of money on furniture and they are never home to enjoy it.
26 to go and I see nothing, so off I go to get on with my day. The sun is out now but we had torrential rain and thunder a short while ago.
it only arrived last week, and yes, i am Definitely Sitting in it and Enjoying it!!!!
:D
enjoy the sun while you have it scrabs... i have none here
*gets bottle of Champagne ready for Doren
<--- Non Vintage Coutier Brut Traditionelle Grand Cru
Say that five times fast
I can :D
ah... haven't had champagne in a while!
I love this one
Show off : P
it's reasonable and comes in half bottles too
what is reasonable?
$45 for a full bottle $25 ish for a half
I also found a cheapo Cava I love too that is really inexpensive
now, see ... I will spend on a kayak or chair that will last forever... hard for me to spend that much on a bottle. i probably should work on that
:D different Priorities doren
i used to buy freixenet negro and was okay with that. (have i dropped in your esteem?)
But you will spend $5 on a coffee at Starbucks right?
this wine is $16 or less and is about 100 times better than Freixenet
very rarely. -- starbucks.... reason i bought an espresso machine..
ah..
ok, 16 is no problem for me! which is it?
Non-Vintage Bohigas Cava.. Sherry Lehmann carries it
you want the Reserva
should be about $15 +/-
it is superb
time for breakfast.. have a good day
ok. will check with my local guy and see if he can get it. then will try to find something to celebrate!
enjoy the day everyone, i need to get to the farmer's market before they close...
I can't justify spending 5 bucks for a coffee at Starbucks when I can get a whole pound of it for less than that at the grocery store.
It's like going out for breakfast. For what you pay for two eggs you can get two dozen.

Molls. I had a lovely brunch with my friend Mary today. I usually do not order drinks cause they are so over priced. but we were celebrating her birthday. I had a mimosa and she had a bloody mary. mine was $9 and hers was $8 and they were in small wine glasses.

What is that pen?
do you know Lickety?
I do know that site
at the bottom of Lickety's page, he talks about the beta version of Babble Expert
did you sign up for Babble Pro?.....do you get all the stats on the page?
Some people have paid a one-time fee. That's how you get a profile and see all the stats.
yes, that is Babble Pro, I believe....
ah, thank you, I see. I have not paid yet, been playing just over two weeks, trying to decide if staying
it's cheap enough...one time fee...
I don't get on very often any more, but I heartily encourage it. It's a wonderful group here.
it is inexpensive
i see that you are an alto recorder player...i play, too....and in an ensemble
yes, sam....and the stats do help....make it more interesting
How do you "see some members are Expert"?
We have an ensemble! We'll be having two concerts this month. 3 sops, 3 altos, 2 tenors, 2 basses.
cool...we don't perform concerts anymore....but we do play every week in the waiting room of a nursing home....
saw something in chat by Molly L today, she asked someone
Really? What did I ask them?
Very nice, penquis. We have a gig scheduled in January at a hospice house. We'll do various gigs around Christmas. One of our favorites is providing music for a high school's madrigal dinner.
Oh I asked someone if they were "using" Expert. That is the program Pen mentioned.
at 2:08 PM you asked someone if they were regular or expert
very cool, gwenski....we will start Christmas music in November some time, starting with lesser known pieces...
gave me the impression there might be something after pro, but now i understand
Yes, I asked her if she was "in" Regular or Expert. I get it now.

evening, TO
Thanks, JMC
i know the feeling TO. . .
and perhaps a clue for the 7?
unfortunately i have a headache between the french playing loud music all day and spending 2 hours reading old sympathy cards. . .
re7/52 . . . uses some of the same letters
sorry about that jmc.
re7, re + oceah + vwl + high score letter
the french? have they moved in?
hi phan.
awesome, nbs, nbt and well over half way.
it is amazing stressful. . . but i am having family and friends over in a couple of weeks for the 20th anniversary of hubby's death to celebrate him and tell stories. . .
Are you in France, jmc?
the french catholics have lived next door to me for more than 20 years. . . but they built the actual church only a few years ago and expanded it last year
if bored TO rose told me about something last night, an odd cloud formation called morning glories, worth a look, beautiful and bizarre
they built a church next door to you?
they have a fair every october. . . no place for me to park and the music is loud. . .
yes the priest lived there and went to two different churches. . . they send a new priest from france about every 5 years. . .
is there not a time beyond which they must cease?
they were done at five. . . .but my headache remains
see, you should have come and stayed with me.
haha
So do they at least serve good French food at their fair?
we would have partied, slpet late then ate crabakes today.
yes and wine. . .
to both wht and TO! haha
Then why not just go to the fair and enjoy it?
well if you can't beat'em, join 'em?
a 5 hours fair is a little much for me. . . besides i don't speak french. . .
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jECd8Hg\ndpOo
Start out asking them to teach you the names of all the wines.
i am confused by your link TO . . . it seems to be a wells fargo ad. . .
You need to delete the "\n" from that link
oh okay ty molls
haha very funny TO
sorry, i just cut em and paste em, maam

hi everyone, I have 8 left but am stuck on an fo4/7 is the list correct with the fo's : I have fo4/8 fo4/7 fo4/7 fo5/16 my question is : is the second fo4/7 correct?
there are 3 fo 4/7's- enemies, not after, and fo + double cons.
yes, fo4-7 is the golfers warning cry
OMG that fo was truly my enemy - LOL thanks for that -sometimes you cant see for looking!!
2nd fo 5/20 please?
fo5-20, plural fo4, but fo4 + a vwl may be what you are looking for
the 5/20 s i have are both fu s
and they are part of a collection of 5 fu words
lol, yes I meant fu 5/20 please
right, I clued fo5-18's
thanks joso, I asked for the wrong thing
look at what you have around that section and you will see it
fu5's plural of and past tense of fu4
the second one is a plural
fu6's the most and past tense plural of fo4
thanks joso and sandy, that was a really oversight on my part, too much wine tasting for me today-lol
is there such a thing as too much wine tasting
LOL I was a fu5/20 while i couldn't see that fo4/7
for me yes, we went to 6 wineries today and I was blotto after the 5th one :-)
there is no such thing as too much wine tasting and I should know as we live surrounded by vinyards
guess I'm a rookie then cause there were several more we could have gone to in the area but we were finished after 6. We're visiting upstate New York
just finished, any clues needed?
congrats luv

*happy sigh* hello joso. how has your day been?
very nice, got a good day's sleep
lolol, i was about to ask, or is it very early morning?
it's evening, but my personal morning
okay....i can handle that. do you work, joso?
no, I'm a bum at the moment, but going to have to find work sometime over the next 3-4 months
nice...some down time i take it. was it voluntary, or were you made redundant?
then I will probably not have time for late night babble anymore, I will miss that
what sort of work did you do? and what would you like to do next?
it's all kind of mixed up in a failed business, divorce, and forced sale of my house
ahhh, poor joso. that's hard, mate.
soon it will all be cleared away and i will have a fresh start, from ground zero
take some time to smell the roses, won't you? it's difficult enough to make major decisions without all that emotional stuff you are experiencing.
there are roses, you smell nice
awww, shucks...*must get joso's nose checked out* but i am wearing green tea today, not roses..lol
joso, do you remember the yardley range of perfumes and talc?
really though, enjoy games with friends, my brothers and niece, good books, cable tv, and late night babble
one of my grangmothers wore the roses, roses, and the other violets. to this day if i smell either perfume, heaps of happy childhood memories come flooding back.
yes, I remember them, one of my grandmother's favorites
oh, of course, i forgot you are a gamester.so you are in the slow lane for a bit. and that is a good thing.
you didn't answer me re what sort of work would you like to do?
do you know what animal in africa kills the most people?
mosquito?
the biz was computer repair, also have a good deal of retail experiance
yes, and number 2 is hippo
hippo?
okay, so in the IT industry....and omg, i was right?
mosquitos aren't animals however
i was being silly..
well they aren't human
they sure aren't ask anyone in montana
1 minute to flip
hippos? really?
I would never have guessed that
of course, technically mosquitos or rocks, of the igneous family, what are you taking ruru
