i purchased an on-line lunch buffet package today to one of our favourite restaurants.
Sounds yummy - on that note, snack is calling! Got to keep that metabolism working. BBL :)
for $52 for two, we can have all we can eat from the buffet. everything, including a carvery.

how much running around is there, I thought MIL was in hospital
joso, years ago work colleagues and their spouses/partners all went into the hilton here in town, for the breakfast buffet. himself and i ate so much we didn't eat until the next day.
I find women explosive enough without preordering the feature
joso, someone has to go and get her dirty clothes,wash them, dry them and take them back. also, the hospital does not provide her with enough fresh fruit. she eats between 10-12 kgs( about 26lbs)/ week. plus hearing aid batteries, tissues(special aloe vera ones) etc. etc
hehehehehehe, karma karma karma snicker
it's hard work, and she becomes very demanding when she is hospitalised. SIL is only just finding how demanding her non-demanding mother really is.
what is DH's take on fang's problems
usually don visits twice/day. mid-morning to collect washing and orders, mid-afternoon to return said washing and anything else she wanted.

so fang is calling for sympathy, and meeting the cheshire cat
exactly. and the hospital says the mother will get better care in full-time care. yeah right. the mother says she wants to come home here, go to her social group meetings...
i'm hoping her new aged care assessment reflects the hospitals attitude, which means we will have access to more funds to keep her here at home. it would cost the government a helluva lot more if she goes in to full-time care.
I'm sure MIL will just smoothly slip into the preformed slot full time care will have for her
such a gentle, understanding soul
joso, there is no guarantee that she will live longer in full-time care. i think the hospital just want to get rid of her so they don't have to take responsibility for her care.
besides aged care facilities over here only have one registered nurse on duty per shift. the rest of the staff are li6 more than trained pan washers. and that not done well either. you should the state of these poor souls when they come in for surgery for broken hips. one patients feet looked like they belong to a tramp.
I was being facetious, I expect she will have the best life with you two, both for quality and length. I like her feisty streak, not sure I'd want to care for her, but can like it at a distance.
fang wants to chuck the towel in...don and i don't. we think she deserves to die in her own bed. remember the mother is only in the hospital because fang panicked.
very different from when i was caring for my dad, he was fiercely independent, so very easy to tend.
mother is as independent as she can be. as don pointed out, we can't stop her from falling, but we can be there to pick her up.
it's what, one more week then she is back with you and DH, fang can't hold out for that long.
she'll have to do so, joso. we get the results of don's blood tests and swabs tomorrow.
