12:42 am

I'd already done most of the kitchen stuff, and remember, it's only me and I'm a mini-cook.

12:48 am

12:49 am

mini cook = cooking as little and as simply as possible. Tonight was frozen fish cakes and buttered lima beans, with some Stoneleigh sauv blanc. Dessert was a kiwi and a slice of thawed chocolate bundt cake with a tiny bit of Barefoot Zin.

12:49 am

I am a microwave kind of cook

12:50 am

I'm happy these days if I get halfway

12:57 am

12:57 am

1:00 am

1:02 am

1:02 am

evening miz pugs. how are you today?

1:02 am

cooee to you too rose

1:03 am

hey pink, i was in the middle of saying hi before, then the flip happened. * grin *

1:03 am

lol the flip lol

1:03 am

and dearest jilli. hi sweetie. and hugs to all

1:03 am

Iam just dandy and you ?

1:05 am

must take break very stuck at 50 bbl

1:05 am

red boxes

1:05 am

well, couple of glitches. for starters, they didn't detail revision total knee replacement. just TKR. BIG difference in procedure ....

1:06 am

so is this going to be another set back for you

1:07 am

got the last one

1:07 am

and secondly, my surgeon is overseas until 20 something of november. so date for surgery is 25th november. i COULD have it earlier, but i would prefer my surgeon and i were in the same country post-op.

1:07 am

Was TKR confirmed?

1:07 am

w2g Ru and Rose too

1:08 am

yoohoo ru!

1:08 am

jilli, this is supposed to be a REVISION TKR. but the insurers have called it a TKR only. huge difference in procedure.

1:08 am

WTG RURU!!!

1:09 am

I saw that last night, rose -- wondered if it had been corrected by the insurers.

1:10 am

these people demand we cross the t's and dot the i's, but when we ask them to be more precise, they arc up.

1:10 am

I also saw that the TKR took much lesss time than the revision -- why?

1:10 am

jilli, i had the TKR june, last year. surgeon has to go in and repair it.

1:11 am

the joys of beurocracy

1:11 am

well if option a doesn't work, sometimes surgeon has to remove old prosthesis, and put in a new one.

1:11 am

I understand that, rose, but why does that take longer in surgery than a full replacement?

1:12 am

oh, I see (I think)

1:12 am

option a is, surgeon goes in, replaces plastic disc in tibial prosthesis with a thicker one, then checks to see if knee is stable again

1:13 am

the prostheses are cemented to my bones...he will have to chip away old cement before putting in new prosthesis

1:14 am

ah, now I see -- thanks. And I see I misspelled bureaucracy. I usually spell well!

1:14 am

we are talking about a surgeon who can do a TKR and ThipR in 45 minutes. this new procedure can take 1-2 hours.

1:16 am

everyone pray like fury, option a has to work. that only has skin pain...that i can handle. option b we are talking bone pain...:(

1:16 am

Well, I hope it will be as apinless as when I had a molar with a broken root removed recently. Dentist had to chip and drill and tug and pull and pull and I expected that when the freezing wore off I'd be gulping painkillers, but no! Absolutely no pain whatever!

1:16 am

nice, jilli. good dentist

1:17 am

*painless (tired and typos rear their stupid heads)

1:17 am

it's okay, hun. i read jilliese

1:19 am

btw, i hope all are sitting down...i actually started spring cleaning the bedroom today. i'm ashamed to admit my dressing table had balls of dust so big you could pick them up no trouble.

1:19 am

:)

1:21 am

over halfway

1:21 am

yay, jilli, nice job, hun

1:22 am

ty rose

1:24 am

and now it's bedtime so goodnight and good babbling all...*poof

1:24 am

Wonders what keeps granny so busy in the bedroom that dust collects

1:24 am

Night jilli

1:24 am

sweet dreams, dearest jilli. see you at the flip

1:24 am

lol, I was sitting here thinking the same, Ru--night Jilli

1:25 am

ifn you can't work it out, ruru...i am NOT going to clue it...lolol

1:25 am

Did you get around to polishing the mirror on the ceiling granny :D

1:26 am

nah, that's DH's job. my wings fell off the other night...

1:26 am

Ha

1:27 am

i even dusted my clown collection...all except one, and he wouldn't stand still long enough for my to dust him...

1:27 am

I lost my wings a long time ago too

1:28 am

hmmm, about the same time your halo got tangled around your ankles?? oh, that was your ......nope not gonna say it...

1:28 am

I have heard of Beaux Arts. Not Bozo Arts

1:29 am

I thought I seen you still have your halo though Ru

1:29 am

I am angelic

1:29 am

in your dreams, mate

1:29 am

what kind of clowns do you collect Rose

1:30 am

and my nightmares

1:30 am

Neil...

1:31 am

all kinds, pugs. i have some which are about half the size of your little finger, some on swings, knitted one which stands about 12" tall, candles, ceramic...

1:32 am

ROFLOL....ruru.....from your mouth to God's ear....shhh

1:33 am

Gotcha

1:33 am

what's with all the salty talk here?! catch me up, please. ;-)

1:34 am

naughty ruru, come here and i'll put you over my knee. i might even spank you....LOLOL

1:34 am

Well jb. We are seasoned veterans

1:34 am

hey ya jbp

1:35 am

Once a girlfriend of mine talked me into being a clown for their factory picnic! They rented me a costume and all that went with the ordeal. And it was really fun much to my surprise

1:35 am

Hi all :)

1:35 am

and i have the salt and pepper hair to prove it...

1:35 am

what kind of seasoning is that?

1:35 am

Hi Liz

1:35 am

hi Lizlin

1:35 am

cooee liz...

1:36 am

in ruru's case...hot chilli.....

1:36 am

hehehehe

1:37 am

hee

1:37 am

btw, liz, loooooved the coffee ad....i nearly choked on my drink

1:38 am

Glad you loved it! Me too - as I said. Feel free to send it to anyone else you think will enjoy it! Hubby laughed so much too!

1:39 am

as did mine, liz...then he said what does she do for an encore?

1:39 am

I knew you'd looooove it - some others liked it! Still, each to their own sense of humour!

1:40 am

Glad my humor is so normal

1:40 am

;)

1:40 am

okay, am gonna shut up now...let others chat....unless i am provoked, of course

1:40 am

Awww! Don't shut up, Rose!

1:41 am

poke poke poke poke...

1:41 am

*giggle* and cut that out jbp

1:42 am

Oh is Don here?

1:42 am

heh, it's a long reach to your part of the world, but that was the easiest provocation I could come up with

1:42 am

fits

1:42 am

crap

1:42 am

pb for me

1:43 am

you lot are so wonderfully mad....

1:43 am

That's why you fit in so well, Rose.

1:43 am

ruru, he's my bit on the side...lolol

1:44 am

Bit long distance!@

1:45 am

besides, he definitely does not need any encouragement, thank-you

1:46 am

hmmmm, anyone heard from sprite? with the bad weather over there, i hope she and hers are okay.

1:46 am

Saw her here yesterday - seemed OK.

1:47 am

why is every F word from the top and not the bottom (how's THAT for innuendo!)

1:47 am

yay, i finally got one... after 4th

1:48 am

she came on not long after you left to eat Rose and shes got the flu

1:50 am

oh, okay liz and pugs....flu i can handle, as i expect she is also....she is so strong.

1:50 am

thanks jbp

1:50 am

;-)

1:50 am

yw.

1:50 am

I think the worst of the storms missed her too.

1:50 am

if anyone were to clue the left column N, I wouldn't object.

1:51 am

I have an ne 5 - rhymes with fe 5 and he 5

1:51 am

Because I watch the weather channel, I've noticed that you Aussies are having a boat load of bad weather.

1:51 am

thanks Lizlin!

1:51 am

liz, it was some pretty amazing footage on the news. people being blown off their feet and across the footpaths and roads.

1:52 am

I saw that from the UK but not from Holland. I guess i was most interested in the UK.

1:52 am

BUT - this time there were plenty of warnings not to go out!

1:52 am

Unlike in 1987 when the weather guy got it totally wrong!

1:52 am

jbp, ne4, rhymes with reef

1:53 am

well, I must to sleep. stay safe out there please...

1:53 am

Sleep well jbp.

1:53 am

thanx jbp....sleep well, hun

1:53 am

ty

1:53 am

thanks for the other ne from that column, Rose.

1:53 am

poooooof!

1:54 am

So want fetish to be in the grid!

1:55 am

liz, did you find what happens to silver? ta7

1:55 am

Ah! ty again!

1:56 am

does that satisfy your fetish?

1:56 am

:)

2:22 am

Im s

2:23 am

good morning all :)

2:25 am

Hi Sprite, sorry I cant stay, please tell Joso hi if he comes n

2:25 am

have a lovely day, pugs, catch you at the flip, hun

2:25 am

*giggles* Well here I am, rose, all 130 kg of me, so feel free to take a bite!

2:25 am

will do, pug, you go and have a lovely time. You deserve it. *hug*

2:25 am

yum, yum, yum...snuggles in

2:27 am

yeah, doesn't happen often that dutch weather makes the international press. It is weird now... all quiet, sun is out even, and nature looks... blown clean.

2:30 am

sprite, babbler here last night, sarahbellum. she is in the netherlands. says she knows of your area where you live. hope you two can link up.

2:31 am

I met her. She lives around Utrecht. I hope she came through the storm ok as well.

2:31 am

met her in Babble, I mean, not irl

2:32 am

ooohhh, how about that??? she didn't say anything about being inconvenienced by the weather last night, at least not while i was here.

2:32 am

Hi sprite. Didn't realise that you were so badly hit by the storms.

2:32 am

ah good.

2:33 am

oh, uh, okay. wouldn't it be lovely to meet up.

2:33 am

hi Liz, yeah it was pretty bad. We came through it all in one piece, thank God.

2:34 am

would like to get to know her a little better first, rose :) But that's me... kinda careful.

2:34 am

Really pleased about that. My friends in the UK did too!

2:35 am

am glad, Liz. The UK was mostly spared, only the SE part was hit. Haz said she hadn't even noticed the storm.

2:35 am

Sensible, sprite.

2:35 am

Well my links are mainly in London.

2:36 am

I believe London was hit pretty bad

2:37 am

they named it the St Jude storm. Whaddayathinkofthat?

2:38 am

At least they had warnings this time! But pretty awful for everyone.

2:38 am

Who was st Jude?

2:39 am

yes, it was bad. And can you imagine, some people... all mad and indignant about the public transportation being down. While people were hurt and one even died. Some people... it baffled me.

2:40 am

Obviously accidents happen, like to that poor girl in the caravan, but if you're told not to go out, then don't!

2:40 am

st Jude was one of the apostles... Thaddeus, the 'brother of Jesus'. Not to be confused with Judas Iscariot.

2:41 am

So why name the storm after st Jude?

2:42 am

because the storm happened on his name day.

2:42 am

his feast day, it says here.

2:42 am

Ah!

2:43 am

Thanks!

2:43 am

Even more thanks if you just researched it!

2:44 am

only part of it, lol, and my pleasure. I started wondering if it was his birthday, name day, dying day or special feat day. Not always clear with those holy peepz.

2:44 am

:)

2:45 am

I'm not, for sure!

2:45 am

me neither. Not clear and not holy.

2:46 am

Lol

2:47 am

Exactly right Sprite! St Jude's Day was Oct 28th. I live in the path of the storm in Andover, but came north to Newcastle it visit my daughter and grandchildren so missed it all. Anyway it was quiet in the Test Valley, but bad both in Wiltshire and on the South coast.

2:47 am

am glad you are ok, spellit.

2:47 am

Glad you missed it.

2:48 am

did you have a good time visiting your family?

2:50 am

Not as bad as 1987 and doesn't compare to what happens in the USA. Dreadful for that poor girl and her family. Excellent time up in Newcastle - grandson Adam had his 18th birthday, and great to see them all.

2:52 am

wow, awesome, spellit... to have a grandson who has reached maturity!

2:52 am

Moving South to visit son and two more grandchildren in Wensleydale today. Visited the Lady of the North yesterday - very impressive.

2:54 am

back briefly. hellooo spellit. and sprite answered your email

2:54 am

hi sweetie, wb :)

2:56 am

spellit, aren't grandkiddies just sooo great? my third was born last july. don't think DH's kids are ever going to reproduce themselves. * sigh *

2:56 am

sounds good, spellit

2:56 am

Don't think my hubby's kids will either!

2:57 am

my eldest turned 38 last week. hope he enjoyed it.

2:58 am

DH is so lovely with babies...you should have seen him with little braxton.

2:58 am

Aw! Did you take pics?

3:00 am

unfortunately, no....he was such a great dad, and he is, by proxy a wonderful grand-dad. i always forget i can use the mobile phone.

3:00 am

*hugs rose*

3:00 am

Would love to see some recent pics of Braxton.

3:01 am

me too! Braxton is really a babble prayer baby.

3:01 am

okay, okay, i hears ya....*wonders what middle son et al are up to this weekend*

3:03 am

back at ya, rose

3:06 am

Grandchildren are great and I will see all seven of mine in under a week so it's a special time. My wife Jane sees her six quite regularly so I will have seen all 13 in quite a short interval!

3:06 am

ohhh, and when i was cleaning our bedroom, in one of the boxes i found a bag with one of middle son's curls which were cut off when he was 2 years old. it is about 6-8" long, and sooo blonde.

3:06 am

woweeee spellit! How wonderful.

3:06 am

aw rose that is sweet.

3:06 am

Hey sprite. Your fav word 2 days in a row!

3:07 am

What a wonderful find, Rose.

3:08 am

indeed, Liz :D :D I was just wondering why its female companion is never in any grid. Must be because the V and the G are more rare than the P and N and S.

3:08 am

spellit, sounds awfully busy to me....hope you can cut the pace...lol

3:08 am

Guess so!

3:09 am

time for an angry letter to drG about discrimination, don't you think?

3:09 am

liz, sprite, said son is now 33 years old. he is the one who is the daddy.

3:09 am

Ah! So is the 38 yr old the garden destroyer?

3:09 am

yay for the baby turned daddy of a baby. You and said son are close, right?

3:09 am

Go for it, sprite!

3:10 am

*giggles* Better not, drG and I don't see eye to eye. He'd think I was being serious.

3:10 am

Random computer generated grid anyway!

3:11 am

AND i found the exercise book i used to keep all the pics, etc...relating to my training, including my first pay slip, which says after board had been taken out i had earned the grand total of $16 for a fortnight's work.

3:11 am

Wow! That's quite a day you must've had!

3:12 am

nope, the 38 year old is the one who walked out on his wife. it was the 27 year old who destroyed the garden

3:12 am

woot, rose, you should have been a lady of independent means by now.

3:12 am

I'll get it straight some day!

3:13 am

*sigh* the mess those children make of th5 lives...

3:13 am

*shakes head* ah well, you can choose your friends, but not your family, right?

3:13 am

The mess kids make of their parents lives!!!

3:13 am

oh oh hold on, wait, I found this lovely quote about that...

3:13 am

Bye for now - need to load car for journey South!

3:13 am

Safe journey!

3:14 am

and so, that brings us to dinner time....

3:14 am

safe travelling, spellit

3:14 am

As ever, Bon appetite and hugs!

3:14 am

wait for the quote!

3:15 am

hugs, kisses.....and okay, sprite

3:15 am

"The capacity for friendship is God's way of apologizing for our families." - Jay McInerney, The Last of the Savages

3:15 am

Morning all xx Would someone let me know how many words today please? xx

3:15 am

bye spellit, have a save journey and enjoy!

3:15 am

oh, i like it...i like it

3:15 am

oh, i like it...i like it

3:15 am

oh, i like it...i like it

3:15 am

enjoy dinner, rose *hugs*

3:15 am

175 words today

3:15 am

hello worzel, 175 today

3:15 am

ty sprite and hello to you xx

3:16 am

Good quote. Like it

3:16 am

and ty lizlin hello xx

3:16 am

in my case it is certainly true, and... apology accepted, dear God. My friends are worth a dozen families.

3:17 am

So true though I'm lucky with my family.

3:19 am

I don't have any family I am close with, and the only one who I really love is my sister. And our relationship is problematic, alas. But friends... oh yeah, I have wonderful friends and I am grateful for them every day.

3:21 am

Sad about your family but as we know, friends are there for you and are the best!

3:21 am

amen to that :)

3:22 am

:)

3:23 am

oh btw, did I tell you I got a weird letter from a strange lady who insisted I go to my father's 80th birthday party?

3:24 am

Yes. That was weird. You obviously didn't go but did you reply?

3:25 am

I won't go, for sure. I have just decided that I will reply, but not to her. I will write to my father again and ask him which part of no was unclear to him. Finally found the solution that feels ok. I don't want to correspond with a lady I have never met.

3:26 am

Good decision. Got to go now for a while. Hugs to you

3:26 am

bye Liz, have a peaceful evening *hugs*

3:28 am

liz..you still there?

3:28 am

Hi Ro - Peter spoke to Phil a while ago.

3:28 am

hi ro :)

3:28 am

ok.. that's what I was checking....

3:29 am

hi sprite

3:29 am

Thought so!

3:29 am

being selfish.... I just don't want anything to happen tomorrow...

3:30 am

Of course or. You ok?

3:30 am

Not!

3:30 am

yeah.... what can ya do?...

3:31 am

She's a strong lady!

3:31 am

what happens tomorrow? If it is ok to ask, that is.

3:32 am

I'll let Ro say, if it's ok with her.

3:32 am

sprite..its my son's birthday... and my mum has just been put into palliative care...

3:33 am

Never know how much people want to say in public - even to friends.

3:33 am

aw darling... am so sorry. Will hold you and yours in my prayers. *hugs* Always an extra tough combination, birthdays and sadness.

3:33 am

Rose mum is 99! Be soooo cool if she makes it to 100!

3:34 am

yeah well... she's 99... pretty good innings.. and she might make it through this.. who's to say...as liz said...my mum has always been a tough little cookie...

3:35 am

ok..workman here... practicalities to take care of... bbl...

3:35 am

So glad I knew her before she got ill. a really lovely lady.

3:35 am

yay for tough little cookies. I hope she will be able to hold on a little longer, at least until after the son's birthday :) That would be great.

3:35 am

bye ro, will think of you and yours, hun.

3:35 am

Hope so too. My hubby thinks of Ros mum as mum!

3:37 am

impressive age, isn't it, 99! Wow.

3:38 am

Awesome. She still worked until a couple of years ago - volunteer in hospital shop. Amazing isn't it?

3:38 am

Was really pissed off when they wouldn't continue to insure her!

3:40 am

what???? omg... you are kidding. That is evil.

3:40 am

yes, that is amazing! Funny how it is usually the people who stay active who live till real old age, isn't it.

3:41 am

So true.

3:42 am

Still whatever happens, I hope she doesn't suffer.

3:42 am

So, seems like I stayed!

3:42 am

60 left to find!

3:43 am

No good deed goes unpunished

3:43 am

nice going, Liz! I have 67 left still. Kind of a weird grid today.

3:43 am

hi o-o, good to see you.

3:44 am

Will probably turn to lickety soon. Slow going for me now.

3:44 am

Hi o-o

3:45 am

good morning.

3:45 am

waiting with trepidation for DH to retur from the store.

3:45 am

Hi Ruby :)

3:46 am

hi ruby :) Is he late? He needs more time nowadays, don't worry too soon.

3:46 am

I found the grid rather uneventful

3:47 am

did you? Am having trouble with it myself, I feel like I have run out of words to try.

3:48 am

I just always worry that he will get confused and lost, but, at the same tiem, don't have the heart to take away his keys He only goes to a few places and seems to do fine

3:49 am

Right attitude I reckon, Ruby. I'm sure he'll be home soon.

3:50 am

4:02 am

no kidding, ruby :) He had a lady he knows from his choirs write to me, and urge me to reconsider and come to his birthday party. I just sent him a card that says "Which part of NO was unclear to you?" And a text on the inside that I already had answered his invitation and that I don't appreciate being harrassed by a strange lady. No is no. Do you think he gets the message now?

Yes we did, Ruby, but everything was ok where i am..thank goodness...how about you?

6:20 am

good morning everyone!

6:20 am

That is good news then.

6:21 am

Hello, Dawg :-)

6:21 am

this place has pretty clement weather. The only bad thing we get is occasional strong, nasty winds which sweep through the lake's valley

6:21 am

{{ibd}}

6:22 am

Hi zoo, hi ruby

6:22 am

I had to turn my heating on last night for the first time since before the summer :-(

6:23 am

we've been lighting fires for a couple of weeks. Not every day, but the house gets cold sometimes

6:23 am

(no central heat)

6:23 am

Yes i remember..we both have breezy houses.

6:23 am

hahah, you might say

6:24 am

This is a newish house..yet the build quality is CRAP.

6:25 am

ere, too, and my neighbor built it, just not for us. We re-did everything, but I never thought about the heating as in the US, every house is built with central heating

6:25 am

I wish they would build houses here like they build them in the USA. There they are built well and have lots of space.

6:27 am

my son has a house that is much too big, but, surprisingly, it has gained in value while all others haven't. He's in the best part of Austin but now they're thinking of downsizing, not needing 5 br's and 5 1/2 baths

6:28 am

I have economy 7..all electric heating...you have to turn it on a day before you need it...but this one does not seem to heat anything when it gets cold here.

6:28 am

Wow that is a large house, Ruby haha

6:29 am

and they have no children! We had in-floor electric heat here, but once it got a short, there was no way to fix it without ripping u all the tile

6:29 am

5 & 1/2 baths...how can you have 1/2 a bath :-)

6:29 am

and you risk fixing one place and then, two days later, getting another short

6:30 am

"powder room" -- no tub or shower

6:30 am

Does not sound too good, Ruby..is there no one you know that could take a look for you?

6:30 am

Ahh thank you.

6:30 am

this silly house has 2 BR, three full baths, , one half bath and one separate toilet

6:30 am

hi all

6:30 am

Ridiculous

6:31 am

h joso

6:31 am

hi joso

6:31 am

Hello, Joso :-)

6:31 am

When we bought it, it had 5 tiny B, 3 toilets and 2 "bathrooms"R

6:31 am

I would convert a couple of bathrooms into bedrooms for guests to stay.

6:32 am

This chog is slow today..sorry for delay in answering.

6:32 am

our guestroom has its own lovely, large bathroom and dh and I have separate full bath.

6:32 am

hi ruby, dawg, zooz

6:33 am

How is your DH today, Ruby?

6:33 am

we took out walls and created a master BR with a large dressing room/closet and, taking out another wall, created a nice study/library for DH

6:33 am

Hello everyone

6:34 am

you son's and ruby's place sound like homes for the incontinent, never more than 5 steps from a toilet

6:34 am

Hello, Biltong :-)

6:34 am

so far, he's good. Did the shopping this AM and has gone back to sleep. He sleeps A LOT!

6:34 am

hey bilt

6:34 am

hahah, joso, but at my age, that's not such a bad idea and, also, I decided I would never again share a bathroom

6:35 am

hi bilt

6:35 am

hi biltong

6:35 am

I like the idea of a large study/library room..would love one to put all my books in.

6:36 am

we had DH's boat builder built cabinetry for the whole upstairs and it is really nice to have everything (closets, drawers, cubbies and bookshelves, all custom and built-in

6:37 am

Glad he is ok, Ruby..hope you are getting plenty of help & rest.

6:37 am

What type of word did you use?

6:37 am

wood*

6:38 am

it is mostly walnut, like our (sold) sailboat)

6:38 am

till the end of next month I have that, a large finished basement room that is lined with bookshelves with a desk, easy chair, and reading lamp.

6:38 am

ooh walnut..wow..very nice.

6:38 am

what happens then, joso? Are you moving into our guestroom?

6:39 am

That sounds like a dream come true, Joso..how i would love one.

6:39 am

The fellow worked from our measurements, put it all in a container, and it fit perfectly

6:40 am

moving to a smaller place, not so far as yours, but yours sounds very nice. what is the cost of sending oodles of books to france?

6:40 am

My house is too small for anything like that...so my reading area is normally my bed when i retire for the evening..lol

6:41 am

lol, zooz, sounds familiar

6:41 am

it has become very expensive. My sister used to send me 10-12 books a month in"m-bags" for about $10, but the US postal service discontinued the service

6:41 am

((Biltong)) nice to know i am not the only one :-)

6:41 am

ruby, did you see my email to you?

6:42 am

now it costs as much to send one book.

6:42 am

No, bichon, I didn't. Will look again.

6:42 am

I have been avoiding e-mail, expecting a rant from the lawyer

6:42 am

Thats ashame, Ruby...books are wonderful.

6:42 am

It had a link to an article about our alma mater

6:43 am

Hi, Bichon :-)

6:43 am

May I have the stats for the 8, please?

6:43 am

Hi zooz, bilt

6:43 am

I figured, nice offer ruby, but getting my stuff to your guest house would probably cost as much as buying a house

6:43 am

oh yes, I did see it,sorry. Yes, How much it has changed!! Remember how small it was? And they admitted boys with much lower averages than girls?

6:43 am

Hi bichon :)

6:44 am

And it was pretty muc free

6:45 am

sorry bilt, don't have it yet

6:45 am

Most of the students were women wanting to be elementary school teachers

6:45 am

Now I think they charge tuition. If I remember correctly, it cost about $120/semester, easily covered by NY state scholarship

6:45 am

Hi joso

6:45 am

thanks, joso

6:45 am

re8/55

6:45 am

I had high aspirations, wanted to be a high school teacher. lol

6:51 am

ty again zooz

6:51 am

Oh yes..how is your tooth?

6:51 am

ty zzoozz

6:51 am

i love english class but know what i hate what truly drives crossy round the bend? spending 2 days doing a paper of wisdom, depth and brilliance, but having to spend 4 days sweating over the minutae of citing sources in the correct format

6:51 am

tnx dawg, rare to start with the long word, then get one of each length from it. nst in 5 words

6:51 am

I know people hate it when babblers clue without asking...but en7 is the same but with EN :-)

6:52 am

((ruby)) teeth are still quite sore, but i believe the amoxacillion is having an effect

6:52 am

Thanks, zooz

6:52 am

{{{crossy}}}}

6:52 am

Was it an abcess, Crossy?

6:52 am

very,very sore,zooz

6:52 am

I would never complain about a clue!

6:53 am

no positive id on the source of the problem yet zooz.i am next scheduled for a 20th of november!!!! visit for x-rays etc

6:53 am

I think tooth ache is one of the most nasty aches the body can throw at us.

6:54 am

so i will be in this state for the better part of a month..i pay to the gods of antibiotices every day

6:54 am

Good gosh man that a moth away.

6:54 am

aaaah, just drank something sweet

6:54 am

pray

6:54 am

tnx zoozs

6:54 am

are you eating yoghurt, at room temp, of course, to counter the antibiotics?

6:55 am

thank you for reminding me,ruby, cause these 500 mg bombs are going to kill all the good, along with the bad

6:55 am

I think they have probiotics now. More effective than yoghurt

6:56 am

Ok going out into the big wide world..see you later everyone...really nice chatting to you all.

6:56 am

like acidopolis (sp)??

6:57 am

time to check the mail and lie down in front of the fire

6:57 am

because i have some of that if it does not have a shelf life(it is stored in fridge)

6:57 am

sounds nic ruby

6:57 am

bye kids

6:57 am

bye zooz, hagd

6:57 am

rest well, ruby

6:57 am

it is beautifully sunny, but the temp has dropped more than 10C in one day

6:57 am

I got probiotics in little packages for when the dog had diarrhea

6:58 am

hope the antibiotics work for you crossy, and there is nothing to find long before the x-rays.

6:58 am

just checked.they are good for two years,i best go take some brb

6:58 am

I give the dogs some yoghurt every evening, figuring that it can't hurt

6:59 am

ty,joso.i have had chemo, cancer sugery, had my legs busted multiple times but this, this is the most pain i have ever been in i swear

7:00 am

thought so,some nice jameson brand acidophilis tabs in the fridge

7:00 am

Hi all :)

7:00 am

howdy,liz

7:01 am

Isn't jameson whisky?

7:01 am

Seriously though, which is difficult for me, sorry you've not been feeling too good crossy. Wish you better very soon.

7:01 am

i prefer the other jameson product myself, but yours will probably do you more good.

7:02 am

I'll go with your jameson, joso but a good single malt is best!

7:02 am

hi liz

7:02 am

tyvm, liz.not to worry my serious bone does not work too well either,i temper it with siezing the day as best i can

7:03 am

Hi lbd :)

7:03 am

lol,i need some of the other jameson as well

7:03 am

that's what I like about this place!

7:03 am

mmmmm, single malt with just a wee splash of branch water to release the aromas

7:04 am

excellent for toothaches as well

7:04 am

hi liz, the common wisdom is single malt, but i go with triple distilled any day.

7:04 am

Just use the warmth of my hands for that. wouldn't dilute a good scotch with water or ice for that matter!

7:04 am

As long as it's smooth!

7:04 am

*Stands with Liz in the undiluted corner*

7:05 am

dpends on how old it is.once the nectar gets over ten years nothing and i mean nothing is added

7:05 am

Yay for Molly!

7:05 am

Pardon? Less than 10 years? What's that?

7:05 am

oooh, you all are going to make me miss drinking

7:05 am

under ten years and it is all mouthwash anyways:))) lol

7:06 am

lol but true

7:06 am

Quick, change the subject for joso

7:07 am

did any of you get ahold of that release of the 40 year old glenfidditch in 1985? i can still feel the bottle in my hand and hear the splash of the ambrosia as it hits the tumbler reflecting rainbows of irridecant light into my greatfull eyes

7:07 am

sigh..to much english

7:07 am

Just sigh!

7:07 am

too

7:07 am

English!

7:07 am

no, don't worry about me, not an aa type, just gave it up when I was diagnosed with diabetes. don't really miss it much

7:08 am

me speak enlish very goodly

7:08 am

Actually I only drink occasionally.

7:08 am

but i hate,i LOATHE spending all day citing sources!!

7:08 am

I also speeka the eenglish very good.

7:09 am

As an ex English teacher I get so annoyed with myself for typing without correct punctuation!

7:10 am

and to that end i make a citation template for microsoft word and open office as well as found a nice citation generator at citationmachine.net

7:10 am

made

7:10 am

yes, and I hated english, good that you enjoy it crossy. dissecting a book just ruined it for me, like finding out a magicians trick.

7:10 am

i like tearing them apart in class but never do it for books i read for personal enjoyment

7:11 am

Funny but to some extent that happened to me too, Joso. I studied German at uni and haven't touched a German book since then. It spoiled it for me!

7:11 am

I also don't analyse what I read now.

7:11 am

Just read for fun.

7:13 am

same here.someone once offered me a 300 page tome where the author dissects all of james Herriots works and i said "you have got to be kidding me.get that bloody thing away from me"

7:13 am

would not read a dissection on that if you paid me

7:14 am

For me doubt crept into my mind, when people kept trying to tell me that certain words and phrases meant that an author was really thinking .....! How on earth did they know what an author, who was dead for many years, was thinking?

7:14 am

End of my ra 4!\

7:15 am

Never liked dissecting books. what's the purpose? if you don't like a story, stop reading it or don't reread it. don't trash it.

7:15 am

The most important thing about writing is, "what does it mean to you?"

7:15 am

i have a friend who is very into the making of movies. never go see a movie with him, he will tell you how all the special effects are done, why they shoot form that angle (and what the better shot would be), any continuity errors he spots, etc etc. interesting, but really takes a ball peen hammer to the magic of movies.

7:15 am

I'm sure most authors write / wrote just to make a living and for people to enjoy their writing.

7:15 am

this portion of the class had us tear apart 3 shorts from her own teacher stash and now i must tear apart one of my own choosing

7:15 am

True Molly.

7:16 am

Have you made your choice?

7:16 am

yes,already half way into it

7:17 am

ugh, joso. I am not tolerant of people who talk thru movies, tell the story line (spoilers) just to show off how much they know. gag

7:18 am

What did you choose - was it an easy choice?

7:18 am

I have no doubt it is useful knowledge to have, especially for writers, but i prefer to eat sausages without knowing the detail of manufacture.

7:19 am

yes, since i have such an arrya of shorts on my own book case, but i will not give the title here.what i will do is give you a link to it in pdf format.it is ten pages long.just read it and tell me what you think and please,do not typecast the author

7:19 am

here it is... http://tinyurl.com/mbvv62t i would love babblers opinion on it

7:19 am

OK though I can't promise to read it tonight! Getting close to my bedtime!

7:20 am

it is ten pages, can be read over yer coffe

7:21 am

lol, Joso

7:21 am

OK I've saved it to my desktop and will read it. Not worried about by the author - people write all sorts of different things.

7:21 am

good, good.he gets typecast way too much.i read this one many years ago and have never forgotten it

7:23 am

for those who want a copy, just mouse over the bottom right side of the screen it is on and it will let you save it to your desktop

7:23 am

or print it out for that matter if you wish

7:24 am

read a forsythe book of short stories, his fishing story really impressed me, anyone who can make fishing interesting to me is an impressive writer.

7:24 am

good morning all. gray day here. help with the lower F pls

7:25 am

i will make note of that, joso. have you read much Mowatts stuff?

7:25 am

Not the fourth of July but ...

7:25 am

that was a clue for peri!

7:25 am

if not please read two for me. one is called "grey seas Under" and the second is called "the serpents coil"

7:25 am

7:25 am

7:26 am

7:26 am

I only got it when it was clued! So duh me too!

7:26 am

indeed,or i would not mention it

7:27 am

he describes it with such passion you can almost hear the thunder of the 40 foot waves sweeping across the bow and taste the salt spray on your lips as you read

7:27 am

hello, scrabs.

11:24 am

Hi Owl

11:26 am

*!* ta da *!* - thanks for the help :)

btw there is no defninition listed for that sh7.

11:26 am

Yay, Nan, now go enjoy your day.

11:26 am

hoping it will get warm enough that I can go out and finish raking up the leaves.

11:27 am

now isn't that a surprise, TO ;)

11:28 am

sh7 is a variant spelling of that word with an A where the E is. It is an evil spirit, specifically a genie.

i protest that enable will not accpet "seitan".

11:29 am

I really think Dr. G should consider using a more orthodox dictionary for this game!

and after a urious spate of four words, i must be on my way to o sort books for the library's book sale.

will come back later for the last 26. pretty nice grid especially compared to yesterday.

11:31 am

if there is a dictionary in the sale, maybe you would consider sending it to Dr. G?

oh we get plenty of outdated reference books - including those dumped on us ny the libray staff. :/

11:32 am

Word has it that Dr. God has no intention of doing any upgrades to this site. Alas, it is what it is and always will be.

11:32 am

I suppose it does take up a lot of his time as it is.

i mean, travel books from 2009 and anything in the it field from a year or two is obsolete. so they dump them on us.

11:33 am

and you recycle them?

11:33 am

Apparently it is no longer a money maker, so I can understand why he doesn't want to sink anymore of his time or money into it.

well, it cannot be cost effective for hi,m. i am afriad he is a clockmaker god at this point.

yes. and thsoe we don't sell go to charity.

11:34 am

does your library have e-book service?

yes

our sales are well attended, we made $6,000 last time three months ago

11:37 am

Same here - quite extensive collection and heavily used -- I suppose we don't need to worry anymore about expanding our library space.

11:37 am

That's great. Glad to hear that libraries are still open, functional and making money.

we get lots of best sellers, children;s books and the like as well as cd s dvd s and crafting books.

11:38 am

kids' books are always good sellers.

they sell very well. readers like a real book, if tey are of a certain age.

AND I DID NOT COME HOME WITH ONE ITEM LAST TIME - NOT EVEN A CD!

:)

11:39 am

I fear there are generations to come who will never know the feel of a real book and the smell of a library.

the sale is a week away, it takes at least that time to set it up

11:40 am

some I suppose -- I much prefer the e-books now. Lighter weight, don't have to go out for a new book - just visit our library website. (and I am, btw, well over 60)

if our supporters in the majority get that way we will have to find another revenue sream

11:42 am

why? -- I still have to renew my library membership each year in order to borrow the e-books.

11:42 am

Yes, but you can't have book sales with e-books.

11:42 am

true

happy babbling, all.

11:43 am

Our public libraries are free. Membership does not generate revenue.

nan, library cards are free here.

11:43 am

bye TO - hope the sale is a huge success

with a card in this state, one can borrow from any public library in the state. except for philadelphia.

i think. i am not sure if they are part of the access program. also can go on line and use ereference databases to find artciles and other pubs,

as well as study languages on line!

11:50 am

cards are free here for our area, but the library gets a portion of our property tax money. Anyone from outside the area that want's a card has to pay $80.00 per year for it.

our property taxes support them they add about $120 per year to the tax bill.

11:52 am

There are a lot of small communities outside of the immediate area where people choose to have a card for our library.

11:55 am

Time to hit the garden -- back at the flip. hagd everyone :)

11:58 am

Fireworks! And, I'd just like to say, once again, that Enable SUCKS ASS.

12:24 pm

2:25 pm

leonard cohen is amazing

2:25 pm

2:34 pm

2:34 pm

Not sure if that made any sense at all.

2:34 pm

Thanks. Got all the re7's.

2:35 pm

yes, it made sense to me, ty zooz. I have all the re7's too

2:35 pm

5:29 pm

i tell ya though, the sox have been playin great

5:29 pm

i sure hope not.. we will know tonight tho!

5:30 pm

Papi, yes. He's batting over .700. The rest of the team .130. What's with that?

5:30 pm

are u in Boston?

5:30 pm

I know.. Papi is awesome! we need him

5:30 pm

lol

5:31 pm

hitting on both teams is horrible.. pitching has been so good.. makes for a long boring game at times though

5:31 pm

I have no dog in this fight. (Orioles fan) It's been a great Series though.

5:31 pm

Lexington. So yes. for my sake I hope it ends tonight! I need some sleep but STL is a great city and team. I'm not a fan of over confidence.

5:31 pm

It's been weird.

5:31 pm

k so Moll go ahead and root for the Cards then :-)

5:32 pm

yes.. I've been up late and out late watching the games.. time to finish it up.. but NOT tonight!

5:32 pm

It would be nice to see the Sox win a Series at Fenway. God help the Boston Police Department.

5:32 pm

heading home now if no clues are needed.. need to cook dinner and settle down to watch the game

5:33 pm

i have to disagree molly.. lol

5:33 pm

But the Cards have won more titles than Boston and we will never give up Papi. My dream is get a hug from him. He's a good man as well as a player.

5:33 pm

yeah last time we won the series, i was downtown and it was ridiculous.. but sooo fun

5:33 pm

Well it hasn't happened since 1918, so you can take heart in that statistic.

5:34 pm

My husband is going down town to be with our son. It's going to be too crazy. I'd rather sit here with my babble and white wine.

5:34 pm

yeah Papi is awesome.. we keep pitching to him, he keeps hitting homers.. geesh

5:35 pm

alright guys - gotta run

5:35 pm

Have fun with the game! No hard feelings either way.

5:36 pm

oh no.. not at all.. someone's gotta lose and someone's gotta win.. that's the way it works

5:36 pm

6:45 pm

Read the story, Crossy. Enjoyed most of it. Bit predictable and I found the end about himself a bit unnecessary. No clues that her life was falling apart (but I hadn't been awake long, when I read it). Still, enjoyed it - thanks for sharing.

6:45 pm

though my short story tear down went well and is all handed in;))

6:45 pm

no problem at all,liz

6:45 pm

Good.

Have you read Nicholas Fisk's "The Boy The Dog and The Spaceship"? It's one I used to use with my Year 6 class. Quite fun and the kids enjoyed it!

6:47 pm

read your short crossy, I know you don't want the author mentioned, so avoiding that. so avoiding that, very good, plays on all his strong points save one. Always thought he could do smaltz well, one of the most difficult things to do and sound genuine.

6:48 pm

it is nice to see an author step out of his comfort zone and do it well

6:48 pm

don't know why i stuttered, sorry about that chief

6:49 pm

Very true.

7:20 pm

crossy - also read your short sotry and thought that it was very well written - loved his use of words and how he built all the sensory images - but never thought i would like something by that author, but just shows how we stereotype people - have now reread it twice and still like reading it through

7:22 pm

that is why i shared it,wvteach.too many people typecast this author when he has so much more out there

7:22 pm

7:23 pm

reminds me of the theme of the song Cats in the Cradle - will save the story on my computer to keep rereading it

7:23 pm

it is a good little story, with nary a ghost, goul or bucket of blood

7:24 pm

it does in a way.the story reminds us to know what is dear and precious to us because even though we may save it and protect it,sometime we still lose what we love

7:24 pm

hi all

7:25 pm

howdy,jmc

7:26 pm

what are the important thingds to make time for in our lives

7:26 pm

indeed

7:27 pm

Interesting copy of that story. King does not spell color, colour.

7:27 pm

i just tore it down for english class so i can still see in my minds eye Kitty, swanning off the beam 80 feet in the air, always thinking that the hay would be there for her

7:27 pm

i gave up worrying about americanisms.when i am writing,i write it my way, when i am reading it their way i just let it go

7:28 pm

Sorry to barge in, but you're all making this short story sound very interesting! Can I ask the title?

7:29 pm

sorry, volta. it is call The last rung on the ladder and it is by Stepen King

7:29 pm

just a short.ten pages long

7:29 pm

Yes, but it makes sense that you would write the Canadian way. Isn't that supposed to be a copy of Stephen King's story?

7:30 pm

Oh, say no more! I think I must have everything put out by King on my shelves somewhere

7:31 pm

it is

7:31 pm

he may choose to use color or color at his own whim

7:31 pm

7:33 pm

hehe,my reading list also never ends

7:33 pm

Well, you're always in good company with a book :)

7:34 pm

babble seems to attract readers - people who love words in any form

7:34 pm

this is true

7:34 pm

not always. . . i have thrown books in the recycling. . .

7:34 pm

but i agree with the concept. . .

7:34 pm

i have every single book i have ever bought for myself since 1985

7:36 pm

i am now spending part of my time reading the books on my shelf and consciously deciding if i will ever read them again. . .if not. . . i put them in the give away stack. . .

7:37 pm

stats for the lower F please. . .

7:37 pm

Sadly, reading isn't such a popular hobby amongst my generation, so it's nice to have some bookworm company

7:38 pm

my son and his gf are both big readers. . .

7:38 pm

of course the last book i read aloud to him (Once and Future King) he was probably 10 years old. . .

7:38 pm

Good Evening Evryone! How are you on this foggy misty night?

7:53 pm

Everyone Huh. I think I need to work on my keyboard a bit. The letters are stickking

7:54 pm

Hello, Nef. Any snow?

7:56 pm

Hi o-o. No, not snowing yet, but the temp is still nearly 50 degrees and the humidity is 100% they said at 6PM

7:58 pm

Have had some snow but not enough to amount to an accumulation.

7:59 pm

YAY, wvteach!!! WTG!!!

8:00 pm

Well done! This puzzle is hard

8:00 pm

8:00 pm

lots of good clues in the chog

8:00 pm

Volta, are you new here? Welcome!

8:01 pm

definitely

8:01 pm

I sure am - glad I found a new word game to while away a long and dark winter :) and thank you! Everybody has been so pleasant.

8:02 pm

Well, I'm just starting out; I'm only hoping to reach half way tonight though

8:02 pm

it would be nice if it stays warm for tomorrow evening

8:02 pm

Where are you, Volta?

8:03 pm

this game can fill up lots of extra time in my life

8:04 pm

good to find a new ohm for yourself ...

8:04 pm

I live in a very small town in N. Finland, so as it gets deeper into the winter, the sun doesn't rise at all. Then, the games come out ;)

8:04 pm

I was addicted to finishing every grid a long time ago; now I'm just "sort of" wanting to play every day (and I limit myself to how long I play. :-)

8:06 pm

Isn't the internet great? People from around the world play here and we never realize how small the Earth really is!

8:07 pm

Certainly! I can't imagine a life without it

8:07 pm

do roosters get depressed because the sun does not rise?

8:08 pm

LOL! I can; I got lots more done before the internet! :-D

8:09 pm

roosters taken to the far north go crazy unless artificial light and dark are provided

8:10 pm

wow, joso. THe things we learn here!

8:10 pm

3 nothing, Boston

8:11 pm

Do they really? I've never been around enough roosters to know!

8:12 pm

might even be true nef, but in all honesty I just made that up, 0-0 got me thinking about the land of the midnight sun and roosters.

8:13 pm

joso! It's not nice to mess with my mind like that! :-P

8:14 pm

I would despair if Foghorn Leghorn suffered from light deprivation

8:14 pm

Haha! It is I who should be ashamed at being fooled, Nef, I think ;) the only animals I have ever seen act strangely due to the twilight...are the humans

8:15 pm

searching the internet now to see if anyone knows about it

8:16 pm

so am I now, joss!

8:19 pm

volta, was reading about a villiage your way that is recessed between some mountains and at certain time of the year used to get no direct sunlight at all because they were within the shadows of the mountains around them.recently they have placed parge reflecting mirrors that track the sun and shine it down into the villiage square in town so people can go there and feel some natural light

8:22 pm

I wonder if the darkness of illnesses is exacerbated by days with more darkness?

8:23 pm

Without proper coping skills, for sure .... yes, for sure.

8:23 pm

Oh, I've heard of something like that in Norway, I think. It is not so, so, so dark though. Maybe they were trying to attract more tourists than sunlight ;)

8:24 pm

perhaps volta, but a little sun for themselves cannot hurt

8:25 pm

Oh, of course! Sunlamps are used quite a lot here, but I suppose there is no comparison to the real thing.

8:26 pm

better hope they do not get the angle of the mirrors wrong and fry the people like ants under a magnifying glass

8:26 pm

o-o, re: your comment about darkness oif illness; I would definitely say that that is true from my experience as a nurse

8:27 pm

well, vit d loss would be a big thing, would it not, nef?

8:28 pm

yes, cross it is.

8:29 pm

bed time for crossy.tc all and happy babbling

8:29 pm

g'night crossy

8:30 pm

Good night, and nice to meet you

8:30 pm

Oh well, a scientist recently posited that the mass of the Earth has an effect on the sun. The sun is losing mass. Therefore, the Earth is drawing closer to the sun. In only five billion years, the Earth will be drawn close enough to the sun to be consumed by the heat of the sun. Nothing will survive. The Earth will be no more.

8:30 pm

I've noticed that our doctors are requesting more Vit. D blood levels now. I don't know if it's the time of year now or that this is some new practice.

8:30 pm

8:36 pm

8:36 pm

thanks all

8:37 pm

YAY, zambie!!! WTG!!!

8:39 pm

hi herin

Howdy.

8:39 pm

joso, I worked night shift for over 34 years. When I changed to a day job, I had the worst time waking up and functioning in the AM. Now that I'm retired, I find that I wake up early but don't accomplish much until late afternoon. I think my circadian rhythem is broken!

8:40 pm

hi herin! How are you today?

Good. Nef when I hear that I imagine you broke your inner cicada.

8:40 pm

I wonder if the vitamin D levels are intended to check calcium levels ... seem to be a lot of autoimmune diseases in my neck of the woods.

8:42 pm

calcium levels are a lot cheaper to do, o-o. I've been very surprised at what some people's Vitamin D levels are lately. Mine is normal, but my str was put on mega doses of it for 6 month because her level was so low (and she plays roller derby!)

8:44 pm

when I have no schedual to meet i tend to a late life, rising at the crack of noon or later, asn staying up till 3-4-5 in the am. there is a lot of research showing shift workers have problems and shorter lives. i don't know what if anything has been found about those who have steady night jobs.

8:46 pm

A friend recently was diagnosed with celiac disease ... another one with no cure ... like Crohn's

Celiac is nothing like Crohns.

8:47 pm

This same friend was diagnosed with Crohn's until recently.

8:48 pm

When I worked nights, I worked about 3/4 time or else 12 hour nights; plus had 2 young kids and was Den leader for cub scouts, school volunteer and volunteered for a whole bunch of other things too. Plus both kids are ADHD (and never outgrew it). I don't know if I ever had a "steady" schedule

Crohns is not good. Celiac can be managed by food choices.

8:50 pm

my comment was: another one with no cure ...

8:51 pm

sounds like a lifestyle designed to break up rhythms nef

8:52 pm

I am quite disciplined when it comes to sleep. If I am tired, I take a nap before I fall asleep.

8:53 pm

2 adhd kids would be enough to keep anyone busy without a full time job added to the load.

Sorry O-O I think I need a)more coffee and b) my neighbours to stop building

8:54 pm

Looks like I am done here :) thank you for the warm welcome, everybody. I hope I'll be able to play again soon

8:55 pm

Be well, Volta

8:55 pm

bye volta...

8:55 pm

g'night volta

Night Volta

8:56 pm

niters, volta. Do come back again soon!

I got to cuddle my friends little baby yesterday. He was asleep and looked like a doll

9:00 pm

(Sorry, just had to hug and kiss my grandson to bed!)

aaaa

9:01 pm

How old is the baby Herin? My best friend just had her first grandchild; and that baby was so small! (It's so easy to forget how small they are at first once they've grown up a bit!)

I think he is about 5 weeks

9:03 pm

Oh! So just a tiny speck! Aren't they adorable at that point (IF you aren't the parent who hasn't had sleep!)

He wsa all quiet.

BRb

Back after fiddling with laundry

9:40 pm

i had an interesting image in my mind when you said that....

Well how about beating the washing machine into actually working

(add a couple of swear words to that sentence)

9:46 pm

heh heh... my image was much more serene....using laundry to play the fiddle....

THat is cute. My washing machine is not working well and we don't have the cash to have someone come out and go 'yep it is a $20 part but here is my call out bill of $100
