there's a new drug coming out in January that may help him

I tried keeping him on atopica to get the skin testing done and he had a bad case of pyoderma (sp?)
so they couldn't test him
I've never had an allergic dog like this before
ah. yeah, can't do the testing on pred. blood tests aren't as accurate for environmental things... it's tough.

i had a cat that was allergic to something that fleas carry. took forever to diagnose, b/c it wasn't the fleas themselves

there's a steroid that's more specific for Crohn's; he was on it last year before we found out he had cancer. It has a lot fewer side effects. It was really expensive but now that he's on my insurance they should cover most of it - don't know if that's what the doctor will recommend but we shall see.
