Iam good and how about you
and lyn, also? this is a ni4 surprise.
pfft, lyn...lol...
All's good here - hope you melburnians are keeping cool.
though you were merging Lizlin and me again.
pugs, was able to laugh spontaneously, after church today. i think i is better.
Lol
o good Rose! thats wonderful to hear
Good to hear Rose - and I'd like to hear that!
doing everything this cool weekend and getting ready to do nothing during the week
Ah. The heat wave hasn't hit yet?
thanx my friends....people at church commented...i must have been very po-faced...
Starts properly Tuesday
also, fang comes home tomorrow, or the day after, not sure which..anyway, she's said she will be here tuesday.
Lyn, do you live near Rose or Liz
Foresees mass exodus to qld!
alright! That will be another mess done with
I think I would actually go somewhere if it wasn't for Stew
prayers going to the man upstairs...so want to be in the 'new' bedroom before it gets too hot.
Pugs later today I'm going to put some more puzzles on jigidi. What size do you like?
Is fang all thats stopping you Rose
2oo-300 Liz
lyn lives about 25 miles away from me...she lives so4 of nearish to the bay. i am in the foorhills of the ranges.
darn red boxes again
Ok - they're photos I took on a walk this afternoon.
Hello everyone. I like the 300 plus puzzles, please. Can't wait to see what you post.
I'll do large and smaller then.
I live 10 min walk to the bay
hi bf
pugs, after fang has done her thing, everything either gets chucked out, or taken to the nearest op. shop.
St Kildare?
Thank you so very much.
Hi bf
Kilda
hi pugs.
Yes Liz - actually Elwood
Sorry that's very specific - you don't have to answer!
elsternwick, isn't it, lyn?
well maybe you can get all that cleaned out this week Rose
oops...apologies lyn
I love that area.
so hope so, pugs...
I went to the dandelions once -loved that area too.
Liz, I know you like color in your puzzles and there are several nice ones under the name puzzlejan--if you care to check them out
Its very nice - except for the odd flood
ahhh, i was the one who lived in elsternwick....duh
(she is joking with the dandelions isn't she?)
nope...the hills are full of them..lol
dandelions!!!!! danenongs!
Autocorrect on my iPad - just moved to the computer!
dandenongs!!!!!
Is there anyway to find puzzles by specific people? It takes forever to go thru page after page of puzzles and read who has posted them.
lol
yes bf
You can search puzzle by user bfd
gosh, can hear you pounding each key from here, liz
Home page - click puzzles and then the option is there.
Where do you go?
True, Rose. Got pretty frustrated just then.
was that the noise I was hearing Rose? lol
Be back in a minute or two
yup, pugs. i wonder if fang will feel any compunction when she gets here on tuesday? probably not...she has the hide of an elephant.
OMG Now I can find all kinds of puzzles from people I like. Thank you all
just make sure she dosent leave with out finishing what she needs to do
Just put everything in the hottest room in the house...that will hurry her along (you of course make yourself busy elsewhere)
Now Rose you know better than to ask or hope that
lol, you should don...he is walking around saying...thank-you very much fang, over and over.
Loving Lyn's idea.
So sad that a member of the family has to be so greedy. We are all thinking of you and hopefully this will pass and you will be done with it.
sorry, you should hear don
Liz, did you catch what I said about the puzzles I think you might like
hey, better yet, i'll stick it all outside on the back deck...in full sun-shine...lol
and serve ice tea and scones too--lol
and i'll get the rubbish skip delivered slap bang in the middle of the drive, so she has to park in the street and walk in..oh, my...i can be such a bitch.
going to be 41c or 106f on Tuesday - will be no scone cooking!
no probs, lyn...i'll get the day old ones from bakers delight
lol
watch her only pick a item or two
oh, yeah. have already told don we are sending at least 2 large bags of rubbish home with her..
while shes in the house Don can load her car up
perhaps it might be better to use the words momento or keepsakes rather than 'rubbish' with her though!
i hear you lyn.
lol---that might be best Rose--what lyn says
lyn, have filled our recycling bin to the max. for the last 2 empties. and we still have 2 normal bins full of recycling to go.
I remember so well trying to get everyone to take stuff from Mum and Dads - soo much went to the local op shop and literally a truck load of rubbish at the end
I now throw out unused stuff that I know my kids will not want pretty regularly - wouldn't want them to go thru the same thing
i know, lyn. but just how do i throw out an amazing drawing done by my youngest when he was 4 years old.
I pulled down the cane basket on the top of the cupboards and 'donated' the plastic Xmas tree and decorations I hadn't put up for years...and very carefully put back my daughters first 2 pictures from kindergarten. Know exactly what you mean.
lol, and don't forget all those misshapen things made from clay...was it an ashtray, or a jug? i give up, i love it.
got those too - I even have the one my 64 yo brother made at kindergarten. He won't take it and I can't bear to throw it away!
oh, and the little figurine, missing an arm or leg...i simply cannot part with them. they were all made with the thought that they were to be a gift for me...
yeah, lyn. i have wooden bowls etc made by my younger brothers. and presented to me by them. all precious, precious things.
BBL - going to make a pumpkin and chickpea salad to have with dinner - and do a bit more ironing
Sounds yummy - enjoy.
Pugs, I've posted 2 puzzles - one more for tomorrow.
bye lyn
okay Liz
for this to be such a big grid the words dont seem easy to find(or at least for me)
I agree - it's fairly slow going for me too.
But I found both 9's with no help, so I'm happy about that!
did you give a look at the puzzles I told you about Liz
good for you Liz
Not yet but I will.
are your puzzles more of the whales
Just bookmarked a couple of puzzles.
From the ones you told me about.
I like alot of color
No - there is one of some birds in our garden and one of a tree I like. Tomorrow I'll post one of where we walked today.
Though the tree was from our walk - but not taken today.
If you like colour, you'll like the Rainbow Lorikeets in my bird pic.
oh good-----crossy has a few new ones(kind of hard too I might add)
great--will check them out here in a bit
I did one of his yesterday (completed it this afternoon - the snowy fence one.
I done that one too--havent tried the other snow scene yet
Me neither.
okay, have checked out the site, and the decision is....
liz, you are a sadist...lolol
drum roll
bated breath ...
How can you say that????
not really, dearest. i wish i had the patience to do those...they look so beautiful...and it was very easy...want me to say it again...lol
you dont like jigsaw puzzles Rose
LOL - I could make them smaller and easier! But I guess you have to enjoy jigsaws.
corm
oops!
i love jigsaws...at the moment because of the meds i have no patience...it's very frustrating..
Iam pretty sure Rose I seen some on there of 12 pieces
OK well if you feel like trying one - let me know what size and what subject, and I'll try to manage that for you. The good thing is though, that unlike babble, there's no time limit and you can pause at will and it automatically saves what you do when you stop.
i get so4 of squggy after about an hour or so...you should see me trying to complete a big grid like tonights.
At least you've finished it!
ummm *sqidgy*
is that cause from holding your urine--lol
??? liz, do you have any channel two's on? it's been nearly an hour for us...
is sqidgy the same as squirmy
Confused, Rose!
brb coffee
yes, love...wriggly and unable to sit still
liz, channel two on tv has been down for an hour here.
OK - not sure - we watch through foxtel so the channels are different but I'll find out.
No can do - sorry :( it all comes through foxtel.
Ooooh! Can smell fire! Not good.
ugh, liz. let us know what is going on
with the fire, i mean. tv is low priority
good morning all
{{sprite}} hello my darling
Hi sprite :)
Don't think it's near us Rose - just smoke in the air.
hi rose and liz *huggggs*
we need you to be safe, Liz!
Time for dinner - will definitely be back later - so many left still :( Hugs to you both (and Pugs)
Thanks :)
good. don is going to try and find out for you
enjoy, Liz
and how is my dear rose today?
I'll check back to find out what Don discovers.
better, love. much better. found myself laughing spontaneously after church this morning.
oh wow! Truly going in the right direction then. Am so glad. *hugs*
Howdy do Sprite!
liz, couldn't find any current fires up there.
ho, a house fire at mount pritchard, liz
hi pugs :) *hugs* How are you, darling?
Iam doing good and you?
is that near you Rose
Thanks Rose - pls thank don. BBL
mwah, still a lot of pain. Was up from 5 am this morning cause I couldn't lie down anymore. But otherwise fine :) Got me a headstart on babble at least, earlier today.
bye Liz
pugs, mount pritchard in new south wales..i'm in victoria.
can you take something Sprite to help with that pain
sprite...can you afford to sit under a hot shower for about 3 minutes or so? the warm, wet heat would so help you.
already take painkillers daily, pug. I think it is the sudden wet weather that did it. But maybe I am just guessing
rose, yes, am going to do that a little later. The bad thing about sitting in a shower is that so much of me sticks out, lol.
maybe you need a new one. Your body might not be responding to those any ;more
no, it is still working, pug. It is a painkiller for nerve pain, and what I ahve now is joint pain.
you cant enjoy life with pain like that all the time
no, pain is a b*tch. Ah well, I see the sun is out... which means it is freezing again. That should clear things up a bit.
we are suppose to have sunshine today too. Was suppose to yesterday but it never happened
am so glad the ice storm is over for now, pug
lol, sprite...yeah i know hun, but put the important bits under the hot water..
*grins at rose* We should have those showers with showerheads on all sides.
Sprite --- under the name puzzlejan, she has some very colorful puzzles if you havent seen them
*checking*
I think those walk-in tub-showers would be great
I would love to have a sit bath. A deep one.
Rose, your name is in the grid again
ah, nice ones, pug, the puzzles. Bit small though.
me too Sprite
I thought she had some 300 and 400 ones--but I might be wrong
am hunting nail polish on the internet. Found an amazing brand with some polishes I have to have. But, of course, not for sale in the netherlands...
I dont know why some puts on 12 piece puzzles for
I have seen nothing over 300. But will check further back later. Nice colours indeed.
Back for a bit :)
and you cant order them or its too much to do so
Sorry to read you're in such pain sprite :(
rehi Liz
rehi, pugs, sprite and rose
why isnt Joso talking to us any more. I wonder
haven't found a shop yet that will send to the netherlands. But hunting on :)
What sort of colours are you looking for sprite?
hiya Liz :) How was dinner? Thanks... will be ok, am used to the occasional worsening of the pain. Breathing in.... breathing out... swearing... telling a dirty joke... breathing in... ;)
Yummy - lovely hubby cooking! Keep the jokes up - laughter helps!
neon orange and fire engine red for starters, hun Sprite
Chicken thighs, roast with cajun spice and apricots.
am looking at some duochrome ones, Liz. Accessorize has some... I am in love with the Aztec. And I have seen one in autumn brown/gold that I love too.
oh pug, nail polish is my one true vanity. Never use makeup, I have my hair long but almost always put it up in a ponytail or bun, don't do much for clothes or shoes... but oohhhh nailpolish...
oh sounds lovely, Liz. Apart from the apricots then, but that is me. Love chicken and spice.
so... no to neon orange, but fire engine red, I could go for :D
I like the bright colors myself---gradyn painted my toenails once yellow and orange and our chickens thought they were corn and kept pecking at them--lol
roflollllll
I tend to wear blues and purples - like to be a bit different!
do you guys do your own nails
I like those too, Liz. I bought myself some shatter nailpolish last year. Also very nice with blue or purple underneath.
yes, I do, pug.
Yes - my toes more often than my fingers - tend to break my nails too often!
Shatter nailpolish?
yes. You apply it over a bright coloured base polish and then the top layer breaks up in pieces, allowing the base to shine through. Let me find you a picture.
Never heard of it but it sounds interesting.
oh,like stainglass
Liz: http://tinyurl.com/mbpwgkm
the shatter polish is matte, but with a toplayer of transparent polish it shines again.
Thanks. Nice! Also googled it and got some other images.
exactly, pug :)
Always put transparent top coat on to harden it - hate chipped nail polish.
BBS
I bet that is pretty
have you got another singing coming up Sprite
I do the same thing, Liz. Always a layer of topcoat first, then the colours, then a topcoat as top.
Changed mind! Staying here.
it is, pug. I love looking at my nails once in while and thinking WOW :)
I use specific base coat first.
oh am glad, Liz!
Hubby watching cricket!
pug, no, nothing in the way of public singing. Just our regular lessons... Tuesday evenings.
why isnt Rose here on this? She likes nail stuff too
I love doing my nails, when they're a decent length but as I said, they break so easily!
lol Liz :) So no time for the horizontal mamba?
lol :)
so does mine Liz
btw, don't know about joso, he may be just busy, pug.
mine is helping our daughter tidy up her room, lol. She wants some furniture rearranged.
My thoughts too.
After you file your nails wash with dish detergent and rinse well. This will remove the oils from your nails. Then swab with a cotton ball dipped in white vinegar and this will form a bonding agent and your nails will not chip as badly.
Rose, come back here, you squirrel! Help me find a shop that delivers in the Dutchies.
night-time meds due. am going as brain turns to mush with them xoxox til tomorrow.
Its a 1 day match - Aus v England. England losing :(
oh wow bfdeele, good one. Writing it down.
night Rose, hugs and love
Sleep well Rose - hugs
thanks bf
Thanks bfd
you are welcome. Enjoy your nails.
Copied and pasted!
my nails have started getting ridges running up and down(looks like horse's hooves) :(
night dear rose, sleep well *hugs*
pug, that might be because of something missing in your diet. Worth checking out.
Im sure they don't!
there is a square soft buffering pad that will smooth out your nails. sometimes when people are under stress their nails will from ridges.
form not from
I dont have any stress--lol thanks bf for that imfo
yeah, pugs I hear you. no stress at all, right.
right--lol
Iam not even half way on this darn grid today :(
lol
Just over half - but have only been at it on and off today.
Missing 1 k - grrrrr!
I forget you guys are several hours into your day
Sprite, I added a couple of puzzles today and will add another tomorrow - wouldn't let me add it today!
My day's almost over, pugs. It's 8.20 pm here.
lol no, we are limited to 4 per 24 hours. Ah well, can't do more than that anyway.
will check them out, Liz
I know and its 5:22 am here
I can help with the Ks
Yes, kept trying to add another, then realised what was happening.
I have ke 4 x2 and one pl ke 5
argh pugs, that is night in my book
are you missing the ke6 maybe?
Yes - don't have that.
ok, try this: Miss Piggy's big love, change last letter
I didnt get up until 2 today cause I stayed up watching the football game
Thanks sprite - good clue.
lol pug, messing up your sleeping rhythm?
yvw Liz, and thanks
I went to bed last night at about 1 am but woke at 7 - so am pretty tired today.
lol, just a bit
hah, a decent-sized grid! yay
shouldn't you hit the hay then, Liz?
{{pug}} did you get my letter?
{{lizlin}}
Hi Ruby - hugs
and theres our Ruby--hugs and hi
hi ruby, yes it is. Fun too. Lovely biggies (as in real words)
{{sprite}}
I'll stay up til 11 ish - probably turn lights out nearer 12 though!
not yet Ruby--havent checked out the mail yet
sprite, are you having the same wonderful weather as we have? 6C and no precipitation or wndfor days now
I think I sent it on Fri,little pugs
How did I miss seeing that silly buffalo - an 4 - until now?
then yes Ruby and I havent written back--sorry for taking so long
thanks Liz, lol
lol
np, just was afraid it went astray
ruby: I think we are getting some now. Until now it has been rain, rain, rain. My joints have been killing me.
Wish I could share some of our sun with you all.
I wish the same, Liz, and we could share some of our rain with you guys. To wetten the forests.
you mean you cant ship it--lol
I can imagine ((big hug for sprite)). On the cold, damp days, I spend 1/2 hour in the tub, making the water hotter and hotter, and it helps all the pain
Wouldn't that be amazing?
Clue or stats for the lone o in the 5th column, pls.
Sprite, you would be surpries how weird my email is on adding attachments. But Iam glad I got it figured out.
we already send hugs and strength and love and rays of sunshine. Sun and rain shouldn't be such a big step.
you always amaze me, pug, with how smart you are and how quick you learn! Some programs can be really complicated. Glad you got it figured out.
thanks, but you helped me a bunch
wish we had a bath tub, ruby. Must make do with a shower though.
Funny in England I only ever used the bath - here I only ever use the shower! Perhaps it's the climate?
I dont have a tub either---got a horse tank though
my shower doesn't work but I prefer the tub anyway for these old bones and joints
its very hard on my knees getting in and out of a tub
could be, Liz. If it is hot, a bath isn't nice. Unless it is a cool bath, but then you may have the ocean or a swimming pool that does the trick a lot better?
lol @ horse tank. Very collllld!
ea
not if you share it with the horses -- you could cuddle up
Pool is great on a hot, sweaty day - when we first got here would go in pool at 23 C - now prefer it nearer 30 C! Acclimatisation!!!
Liz is your ocean salt water there
back. Hi Sprite and Ruby
airiest
sorr, whoops
Yes pugs - as is the Broadwater, where we walked today.
Hi again, Lyn.
rehi Lyn
hi lyn :) xxxd
I miss the warm ocean in Miami!
hm, slippery finger. Remove that silly d
Ocean was 24 C yesterday.
I was thinking the d stood for dear--lol
lol
is that warm or cold Liz
75 F pugs
So pretty warm.
Ruby, is it always so cool there
it's pretty temperate. Lovely climate for the most part
gotta run, friends,see you later
I see smokes is in the grid - does anyone ever see her these days?
Enjoy your day ruby
Hugs and of course that should have said, smores
bye Ruby
200 - phew! Tough going!
what happen to Sprite
back... sorry, had to run for the toilet :(
I got 194 left to get
I'm sure she won't have gone far - not without saying goodbye.
bye ruby
haven't seen smores in ages, no
I used to enjoy chatting to smores and lilli - I guess that they have other things to do.
yeah, haven't seen lilliann for ages either :(
I dont know either of them I dont think
I'm sure you'd like them, Pugs.
I cant believe in two more months I will have a year in on here
hehehe time flies here, pug.
it surely does
Definitely does - almost 18 months for me.
Will be 10 years in september
Wow!
Have either of you missed a grid in that time
Sure - quite a few.
only 8 years for me in March
oh yes, lots of them pug, lol.
Only?!!!
wow lyn :)
Liz we are babies here--lol
Real newbies!
But that's why they complete the grids so quickly but it takes us longer.
who said it was addictive?
exactly. It is just practise. As I keep telling you :)
lol! Like jigidi!
it isn't addictive. I quit playing every day and it is easy. Run out of words, done playing. :)
I'm getting better at trying words, which I reckon couldn't possibly be real words.
you know what gets me on jigidi? Its losing pieses--lol and have to shrink the page to find them
you need a better computer with a higher res screen, pug, lol
that is one thing that improves over time, Liz. Others are remembering babblets, applying pre-, af- and suffixes and monkeying.
I know--ho-hum----maybe one day
jigidi doesn't compare - it is there until you finish - can take weeks. There is this urgency/time constraints that make Babble so compelling
How do you find out the date you joined babble?
I'm learning, Sprite.
Click on your profile, bfd. It's in the top right corner.
You joined August 2, 2005 bf. Click on your icon
august 2, 2005 for bfdeele
9 years for bf
another 'oldie'
Not old - 'mature'.
And good morning/evening all.
Hi Haz
ah, there is the word I was looking for. Mature, of course :D Hi Haz!
my new babble dictionary word for today is: sermoan - a way too long sermon.
Hello, hello.
where did you find it? I went to my profile and did not see it.
Love it!
Hello Haz
hi Haz
bfdeele, you can see it on the profile if you click on your lady handbag next to your name here in the chat
Click on your pink person / bag and it's in green writing - top right corner.
Okay . As usual clicked on the wrong thing. Now I am happy. It takes so little.
funny thing is that the label of 'handbag' has remained in babble while the little picture has changed with the font and doesn't look as much like a handbag anymore
FM's husband is in the grid, Haz
BBL
bye Liz *hug*
bye Liz
I found my last A... all it took to make me happy. Quite a doozie.
is that fws for you Sprite
no, not yet, but getting there. Had to use the list and a2z for that A. Will probably have to use them for some more last words though.
too, not though
I guess I wont see you tomorrow :(------but hope you have a good turn out
Sorry, babble tossed me off for a while. Hopefully it will cooperate from now on,
thanks pug *hugs* No, won't play tomorrow, or maybe late in the evening. Day after though!
you were caught in the daily hiccup, Haz. Glad to see you back.
Such a contrast in size of grid between yesterday and today!
indeed. And contrary to the normal state of affairs, the small one was easy and this big one is... well, isn't.
Ah well, we mature babblers just get on with it. Be they big or be they small, we tackle the grids, one and all.
our monkeys trained we fear no grid our babblets known the keys we hit
Our monkeys loose, we seek the goose, with eagle eye, strange words we spy.
mustaches on a dolphin's nose a babbler knows the names for those around the world the coins we know and obsolete words we use them so
we use just so (is better maybe)
To babblers all the suffix is a friend without compare, it helps to make the word search much easier to bear.
we might forget the plural S but stranger plurals we forget less and best of all we love a grid
The prefix should not feel left out, we greet it sometimes with a shout. We re and dis and mis with glee, and stack up lots of points for free.
that proudly boasts a gerund in it
geniuses all! :-)
hiya Une :)
hey spritey
Haz inspires me
Hello, Une.
Hi une
hey pug and haz :-)
Iam enjoying the battle going on here :)
I'm getting into the poetry swing again. The Festival is coming up in February/March and I will have had my fill by the end of it!
oh Haz, has it been a year already? I remember you telling me about it last time.
lol, no battle, pug, teamwork!
Yes, this week will be busy because entries close on Saturday. 100 entries so far, I'm expecting up to 900.
wow, lots of last minute people
back...had some rhubarb and apple crumble whilst Babble was down...yum
oh yummy.... now I am drooling...
what is your part Haz?
It used to be that entries only started coming in on the day that entries were supposed to close. They've got a bit better but some people are always last minute.
Rhubarb and apple crumble would be lovely. There's something very comforting about a crumble.
oh yes, crumbles are nice. Very nice.
My part is to organise the whole thing! Book adjudicator, get the programme fixed and printed, make sure the whole thing runs smoothly over 10 days. I'm a wreck by the end but it's worth it.
are you judging again too?
I just do the speech and drama side - there are also instrumental competitions, vocal, traditional music, dance, all happening during the month of Feb and into March.
do you make a book of all the poems, Haz
Thankfully I don't have to judge, I'm not qualified but I do have to make sure everything is in place to make it easy for the adjudicator. And yes, I type out all the poems so that it's easy for the schools particularly to access them.
Sounds challenging Haz..I am sure everyone relies heavily on you - even if they don't know it!
Some of the classes can be up to 40 children all saying the same poem. By the end of the festival I have poetry coming out of my ears.
wow, quite a job. I remember now, you do judge the prose contest, don't you?
No judging as such but sometimes the adjudicator will ask for an opinion.
Have you ever entered this Sprite
And it's been fun (this is my 4th year) to see the same children coming back and getting bigger and better each year.
fireflies at last! Lovely grid today. A couple of new words for me, mostly biggies and only found thanks to lickety and a2z.
congrats Sprite
Well done, sprite!
I think it is a local thing, pug.
congrats Sprite!
what is a2z?
puglet, it's not a poetry writing competition, it's a verse-speaking and drama festival so that the children are performing.
maggiej: http://tinyurl.com/63xj3a3
It ranges in age from 4 to 18 - we used to have classes for adults but they've faded away.
gonna take a hot shower and then maybe back to bed for a bit. Have a lovely day, all, and a peaceful evening. *hug*
Hugs, Sprite and will see you tuesday, have a good day--
bye Sprite
Bye, sprite.
I must go as well, expecting family for lunch and I need to get things done. Bye for now!
bye Haz
bye Haz, enjoy
waves to friends--have a good day and take care
is anydy still her? back from so-so lnch, but nice people and lovely dogs, so worth it
so-so lunch
Just back, Ruby but not for long.
hello again lizln. Our local resto isn't very good, but the people are so nice that it's worth it
the chef is Sicilian, but his food is too far tilted toward French (bland) tastes
Thats better than we have locally but if we drive for 20 mins or so, we can find some better ones.
I won't drive that far with my husband, and he won't let me drive
I completely understand - not that he won't let you drive though!
it's a macho thing, I think. Says I'm a terrible driver NOT
Macho men :(
Goodnight from me, Ruby - hugs
{{lizlin}}
Ruby, I say start going to other restaurants yourself. He'll tag along eventually. : )
but he won'tlet me drive! No luck with the SS at the embassy or at their website, so far
very annoying
If DH's identity is stolen, will they take him as well? It would be a fair trade LOL
I know from experience that Social Security is very hard to get in touch with. You have to stay parked on hold forever.
I haven't even gottn that far. It just rings and rings and they don't answer e-mails
Ruby have you notified your banks and any other place where your money is that his Social Security number was stolen?
yes, I did that right away. But yesterday, my sistr said that with his SS number, sometone could buy a house or open an account or whatever. She is definitely a naysayer
perhaps I could work a deal, trade his identity for him and my sister!
that was too mean. I love my siter!
No, your sister is right. Maybe you should go to your embassy in person. And play the 'helpless elderly lady with a sick husband" card.
unfortunaytely, the embassy is in Paris, 5 hours away
Well maybe call the embassy and say it's an emergency, because it is. Someone could wipe you out financially with access to his social security number.
I tried calling their emergency number and got nowhere.
I think they work as many hours as the French, i.e. not many
Maybe check with your attorney on how to put a fraud alert on the social security number.
good idea. That's for tomorrow!
Good idea, but that's for tomorrow. Now, I'm going to lie down
Thank you for your concern and good advice, Molly
Hope it all goes well

How to Report a Stolen Social Security Card http://tinyurl.com/6qxnkrk
I was going to post something similar, but being in France, she says 800 numbers do her no good.
mmm, the search engines are biased. it is all United States. Not sure on French SS issues. She is going to have to get ahold of a live person, as you have said her lawyer or the embassy. good morning everyone

for those who play jigidi, I have had many requests for some new outdoor pictures from blue Mountain so I have three new ones in there: snowy fence, mountain river and snowshoes required. Now half of you wanted 150-200 puzzles and the rest of you S&M types want 400+ puzzles , so I split the difference and they are all at 330. hope you enjoy them
hi crossy, how do I find your puzzles? have played in jigidi in the past but moved to another I liked better

you missed me, crossy :(
howdy peri:))
Hi Peri
I missed seeing you too.
help with ma7 or mo7 pls
not there yet Peri
do not have them , peri
I tend to jump around in the grid
ma7 --add a vowel to ma6 if that helps
I have one ma6 but do not think it is the right one, but ty
for ma6 you misspell crazy person
ty harp, new words for me
ty,new for me as well
me too peri
crossy I like your blue wolf
pretty sure it's a food, definitely a root
yes. the tapioca root.
or yucca, I think
still looking for the mo7 and could use help
scrabble dictionary just says tropical plant
they are both right, hego - it is cassava which is yucca and tapioca is made from that
looking for the mo7 too
just found it peri - a monk's lifestyle
ty pippin
well, sort of, at least
ty pippin
mm cannt see it though I know the word
it is an adjective of an mo5
mm, must be real "sort of"..looking
think one god, or single unit
the mo5 is a single celled organism
a misspelled bedouin?
ke6?
nope.not seeing it
ke6 change the last letter of the frog
Clever clue Jane
thanks
nada
crossy -- ***ey changes everything, + alcohol/drug **d**tion
crossy think of the bedouin lifestyle and forget all the other clues for a minute
ty got it. the 5 and the 7.
ty, pippin. needed spoon feeding on that one
yay!
se7 anyone?
the hardest part was finding a useable clue!
and that was a good clue harpjane. just swap the m and the n around
bah. i want to start my chili, but i have a motivation block keeping me from leaving the house and biking to the store
I get those often.
lol,my bike is buried under a 10 foot deep pile of snow on the back porch
you might want some ski rails for under those tires
here, we just went up to the 50s so all the snow is melted again
I know spring is on the way when the handlebars peek out of the top of the snow
does it not rust?
all the snow is melted here too.
it is tarped
okay
105 left, bbl
more than half way. yay
I was going to put another picture in jigidi but I held it back at the last moment. it is pictures of my jeep parked on the road with the snowbanks rearing higher than the roof line:))
se7...se + poison powder
sounds hard. all that snow
do it cross
you get used to it, hego and tbh, you miss it a bit when the winters are soft. the winter sports have been amazing this year
blank on the poison powder.
all day
thanks molly
ok,sammysmom,i shall put it in for you. haw many pieces you want it to be?

Go Pipp
okay, i will be good and go to the store

what name do you use on there cross ?
as you like Pippin
I use the name crosshair
for chilli? I would go with medium ground
ok
not a chilli fan myself. got it too much at the MIL's place
love chilli, but not too hot, with lots of onion, peppers, mushrooms, corn and seasoned with chilli powder, a tsp brown sugar, and a pinch of cinnamon
stuck on the ni 5/10 - any hints?
the japanese americans
Ah, someone else who puts corn in their chili
hi all!

yw
Hi Sue

That is amazing. I can't cook without tasting. I would have no idea how to season appropriately.

hello, peeps.
:)
hi TO
Hi TO
halfway, NBT and NBS - time for a short break
ci4, wvt
hi aloy hi aloy. teach?
fw, last word was wi9 a pl, and I still can't see how it happens.. reexamining grid for 30th time
grats,alo.
oooh! from the bottom w, not the top
ty, a workout for sure.. any clues needed?
guess not, everyone is buried in the grid.. maybe tomorrow's will be a wee bit smaller.. ci4 for now and happy babbling!
back again, and darn, how many times I've missed that first ci4 word!
Good Afternoon, Everyone. How are you all today?
hi Nef
just back to hopefully finish
hello, nef. hello, flosey.
hi TO
hi flosey. I've spent the last 4 hours trying to get online. I guess my harddrive is failing and I have to take my dear Mac Mini in to have the hard drive replaced. :-(
hi TO. How are you today?
ah, sorry about your troublesome hard drive Nef
The funny thing is that once I get online, it works very well (not perfect, mind you; but well)
still a little off, nef but ty for asking. i am sniffly and and and off have been. wondering about allergies. or could be cold.
I love your icon, BTW, flosey.
thanks Nef
perhaps it is because sleep cycle is still not normal.
have you had a nap today, TO?
no. did yesterday and a long sleep last night. thus and friday very little sleep.
so i slept when i got home on saturday early afternoon. the feeling i have is like a hangover.
I always think a half hour nap might help (any longer than that and it just makes things worse)
hangover: Yuk!!!
I often get a power nap 'hangover" it is not nice
even from short naps, crossy?
wel as close to one as i ever get. sniffling, as well
if the nap goes over an hour and into an hour and a half to two yours, yes it does
i think i need to rest my eyes. the dime store glasses makes them hurt if i use them a long time.
me too, if I go to bed but not if I fall asleep sitting in easy chair, or head raised on couch pretending to watch tv
30 min to one hour is best
good to know, perhaps that's the cause.
yes, that's usually quite enough
LOL, crossy! Then it isn't a power nap as it's just too long
Take care, TO. rest and hydrate
to 'black out' just for 15 - 20 minutes, usually clears the head
anything over an hour and I feel terrible
like this gridL about 100 words too long.
I agree flosey. Just a short nap works best for DH and I
wa 7, please?
ty nef. i can already tell a marked decrase in hydration from thursday. nothing like iv fluids to get you all plumped up. should be a beauty treatment menu item
ad5, muchachas and muchachos!
agreed, TO. With my computer problems I will never finish this one (not that I ever thought I could anyway!
wa7 - sounds like something you might bake for dessert
pie for instance
Thanks for the ad 5, TO. Take care of yourself please!
hope your computer behaves.
what is wrong with your computer, nef?
hi again all!
wb suze!
it won't. I need to take it in in an hour.
hi sue! How are you and Frank doing?
son has books now for his classes - hoping for a better semester!
we're fine, nef, thanks!
ty, flosey
yw nan
suze, the U of T has all their texts on tablets that are offered to all students.
that would be nice, crossy! Engineering textbooks are very expensive
pick your course, pay your tuition and get a tablet with all the texts you need for your particular needs
crossy, i've spent the better part of 2 days now trying to figure it out with the help line and my son. It seems my hard drive is dying. It took me 4 hours today trying to get online. Now that I'm here, it works okay. But trying to start it up takes forever.
have you backed up your infro?
info?
because if your drive is failing,he will want to just swap the old HD and just pop in a new OS
most places will copy your stuff over to the new drive (for a price)
Good grief, I hope so crossy. (but I just checked and my "time machine" can't be found!
extend the wa 5/16 for the 7
both of them
and when he changes the hard drive, ask for the old one back
Does anyone have all 3 N words on the first column?
yes, mlfan
wish I was there.i could have it done in 15 minutes:) just 50-100 dollars for the new hard drive
clue for da7 please?
why would I want the old one crossy?
the old one has all your passwords to all the sites you use
mlfan, they are ni4/5, ni5/10, ni6/18
It's covered by warranty, crossy.
uusue are thy similar?
da 7: places that produce milk

Now, onto a Broncos win.
good to know, crossy. BTW, I have an external hard drive that everything is backed up to continuously. I forgot that; I did unplug it yesterday; so it's now connected to this and is busy doing it's thing again
yes.. that would be great.. a win win
Yay for ru's football team

maybe if we put them on a rink and put skates on these foot- ball players... imagine sacking someone while doing 60 mph on skates;))
well one thing i am pretty sure of is that the Redskins probably wont do well again this coming season
it's just he's a big baby still
Molly its better to hear his name then the ones who are repeat penalty players
he is a great player though.. really a great athlete
for a bit there I thought Carolina was going to run away with it
Thanks but I am well aware of the dismal status of The Redskins
he s;ucked the 2nd year

What was the verdict? Chopped beef or ground?
ground was vastly cheaper, so i did that
That is usually my choice, for the same reason
beef is expensive these days!
We were commoners tonight and had meat loaf, mashed potatoes and sugar snap peas.
What isn't expensive these days?
sounds fantastic!
We were going to have meatloaf too. Change of plans.

I am answering ... clue for st6,21
no, I will be just fine once I get my hair done. Lost a few pounds in the past few weeks. little appetite and no desire for G&T.
who is you know who?
scrabbler knows who :)
Yes, I did find out his name and career. A thaw ruined conditions this weekend, but I will be on the lookout and am prepared to ask him to join me for coffee or dinner after skiing.
Bad hair, thin and sober. I think I might cry.
It was for Bzzn
How exciting!
well done scrabbler!!!! hope he doesn't have a wife....or a husband
Thanks, Erda.
sounds exciting, Scrabbs
He mentioned once "when I was married." And he always skies alone.
I am really happy that the National Fgiure Skation Championships are over and I can go back to my regular life
full speed ahead!!!
Scrabs, you've made more progress?
Until the Olympics, bichon.

He skies, mountain bikes, hikes, kayaks, and read historical fiction. I cannot miss my chance.
bichon....excuse spelling error
Jump on it, scrabs!
Yes, but I won't be as nervouse at the Olympics. It's the trials which make me on edge

an + first 2 of word for bones + mamma ***
A + two thirds of a facial feature + mamma ***
thanks, that's definitely a new one for me!
Funny but until November it would've been for me - then it came up in a trivia evening!
Did you get the answer, Liz?
Thankfully I was helping a friend with the questions - she came up with an alternative spelling and I googled it and found the word in the grid!
But my hubby was on the winning table!
Do they have pub quizzes in AU?
Probably not - this was at the local synagogue.
My friend from Britian hosts a night were they do a pub quiz. Always a fun evening.
I know that pub quizzes are quite common in the UK.
It was also a good fund-raiser occasionally at the school, where I worked.
We put a couple bucks in a pot and the winning team would split the money.
That's a nice idea - my hubby was given a bottle of wine :)
I don't know if that is the way they do it in the UK.
Is your weather cooling down?
We're back to a normal summer here - temps of 27 - 32 C - in the 80s F but Melbourne (Victoria generally) is in for a heatwave from tomorrow.
Is America getting back to normal now or is the big freeze still there?
Getting back to normal winter temps,
What does that mean, where you live?
much warmer than usual here....in the mid 40's today....
Sounds better!
yes, everything was melting...
We are in North Carolina. The highs in the winters are in the 40s - 50s. Lows at night in the 20s.
It was in the 70s here at the beach today.
Yeow! And you call that warm - just googled the conversion!
nice...
70s is OK!
We still have the doors open and it is dark. Will have to throw off the blankets tonight.
Low 70s is like an average winter's day here!
But it gets down to 40s at night.
well it's warm in NC for January, liz...
Phew! c's complete.
Yes, i realise that - and I think back to my time in London and find it odd that I've acclimatised to QLD temperatures so quickly that I now think of those temperatures as so cold!
woah, this is a big puzzle! Good evening all.
Hi phan
hey bea and liz, pb for both of you!
(just found that one)
hi phan...
it's amazing how fast you acclimate to seasons
colorado was weird today. it was 50 degrees at 11:00am then 20 degrees ar 11:30am with massive snow.. then at 1pm it was 60
this year i'vwe found myself walking around telling a friend on the west coast "it's fine, it's above freezing" as if i didn't move here from florida
s
sorry about that
Cos, love the icon : D
That is really weird weather!
lol thank you i think its great (the icon). and yes freaky weather today,..
Back again - fun icon - made me laugh, Cos.

Hello, again. Do you like my hat?

This Old Spice commercial is weird.
Fireworks - thanks for all the clues left in the chog throughout last night - wouldn't have completed without them!
It's the language that the yip yip aliens from sesame street speak I believe
Okay, TO...You icon made me LOL!
Congratulations Lizlin on your fireworks display! Hooray!
:D
No, not the yip yip aliens, you are thinking of ma-nom-in-nom, doo doo dee dooty

Why? I would do it!
ac = vowel + facial feature
I would too TO :) I've put up worse lol
It as plain os the probiscuson your face, cos.
ac + vowel
Oh trust me, I wish I had it for certain comments on Facebook.
probiscus
hmmm
An ac7/32 word is ac plus vowel plus no 4/4 word cosdem
mah-nom-in-nom
I sure wish I knew what "Omaha" meant.
Molly: you and me both, sistah.
ah thank you was spelling it wrong!
Why not Lincoln?
still missing four 8s. hmmm.
*takes a lap down the runway with tiara and royal wave*
I have yet to figure out a K word...
*Pours champagne in TO's NB cup*
Do you have se8?
Omaha?
Bring it on
That's waht Manning keeps yelling.
Payton keeps saying Omaha
phan, seriously, how do i get this elg tape off of me? it is making me itch, i cannot wait
It's just one of his audible calls
TO, I am not sure what you mean.
tape for electrodes for heart monitor
is that a clue?
or a actual question?
i tired alcohol
ah, an actual question.
TRIED i TRIED alcohol.
Always try alcohil first.
Nail polish remover
a ? for real
you need a solvent, like nail polish remover, or lighter fluid
Alcohol
I was just going to suggest that, Molly
and stay away from matches while you do it
Guess who has been in the alcohol...
thanks molly. my skin may come off with it at this point. awful
Naptha
pray tell, bea.
Baby oil is good too, TO.
you mean as in fels naphtha?
Actually, any oil. Even olive oil.
If the nail polish remover bugs your skin try mixing salt with soap
good call, bea, much less upsetting to use
i used dcrubbing pulf, alcohol
How did your test come out, TO?
anyway, i am going to heat up the oven for dinner. i may even be able to eat tonight, lunch was ok.
TO, did you try baby oil?

Hi, Jen.
LOL Tina Fey just said "to the millions of women and gay men watching...."
Must be why we aren't watching...=)
I had to laugh cause I am watching
I know.
=)
are the K's normal words?
And all this time, I thought Bea was a woman. : P
Never.
Bea was really a man in drag.
I am.
Who will break the news to Mr. Bea *Starts singing "Lola"
Hello JenMO16!How are you doing today?Welcome to grid
wait which Bea are we disucssing? :P
*discussing
hi min!
I mean no offense to BzznBea :) I was speaking of Ms. Arthur lol
I was joking. Our Bea said "that's why we're not watching" which would make one wonder if she was not a woman or a gay man. Don't try to figure out my logic.
lol that was hysterical - snap chat award as best drama
they are just great. where the heck does that old chestnut that women are not funny come from?
72 TO what is snap chat?I have never heard of it before?
may i please have a clue for the 4th column A
Did you try the oil, TO?
tina and amy are hitting it out of the park

molly: i want to get a bumpoer sticker
I want a t-shirt
and a button, gotta have a button.
I was wondering what snap chat is. Never heard of it b4.
i am wondering if my yoa instructor friend on fb will be scandalized
ok min: give me the joke and i will 'splain.
Something about snap chat award being the best drama?

I'm so tired of any women in clingy maternity dresses...
I don't know Cos, I found Girl Interrupted pretty depressing.
I kinda like depressing movies . I am weird.
Even Donnie Darko?
Although I did find Whoopi's character to be a cheap tacky rip off of Louise Fletcher's role.
Bless your heart ♥
No. I didn't like Donnie Darko. That is the rule to the exception :P

Naw. Had to work today (8 hours of OT with time and half).. so too tired to
8am to 4:15pm.. high school boys stayed this weekend to do a tournament..s o i volunteered to take one of the weekend shifts
working OT is both a blessing and a curse, isn't it?
I won't see the money at all until summer time. We only get paid for 9 months so the OT we earn turns into a summer paycheck.. therefore I have to try to work as many OT as I can :)
its nice that they do that .. instead of making us screwed in summers.
I already have enough OT pay for 1 1/2 months :)
Wow, that's an interesting way to do it. I'd be much less inclined to work any OT if my pay was delayed that much
ke 6/33?
