dont get me wrong. i adore my kids deeply and care for them but wow.. they have been awful after christmas break
takes awhile for everyone to get back into a routine; kids always test boundaries too, loving discipline is not a bad thing
and it doesnt help we got 3 new kids ... 2 who dont speak any language at all and 1 who has behavior issues in the last week

the parents adopted her. now want to send her off to residential school despite they live less than a hour away and the mom works at the school. kinda annoys me.

residential school for deaf kids and blind kids.. its a great school. gives kids a chance to star on teams and clubs that they wouldnt get to in a mainstreamed school plus they are always around sign language
its free too. state pays for it.
room, board, education all free.. there are sports fees like every school but other than that... no cost to the families.

No. A lot of states do. Indiana does. Indiana School for the Deaf is one of the best in the nation
38 states do it actually. used to be 50.. then some closed down cause not enough kids...

Colorado is considered a good school for a small school. ours is quite small compared to the others.. and lol ru.. we'll see what happens in 2016.

a lot of district schools have great programs though dee and if he did go to a district school they would have gotten the services needed for him from the school.
His deafness was not discovered as soon as it should be... occurred later after scar tissue formed from many, many earaches. He had a speech issue as well... very sad story. He's in his 40's and really struggles... he needed help. His parents didn't pursue help, as they should... not sure why exactly.
They did they best they could, I suppose. He was the 3rd of 4 kids. Times are much different now in dealing with disabilities.

I think this is awful, but in a town in our state they were having a festivel and they had a bean supper to help raise money. Someone made cornbread and put meth in it. Alot of people got very sick(some almost lost their life). It took them awhile to find why so many got so sick

not that it ever gets that hot here, but in hotter weather our zoos make animal specific "popcicles for them . for example for a polar bear, they will use a 5 gallon plastic bucket and put fish or fruit or whatnot in it, top it up with water and freeze it till it is solid and give it to them on hot days. they love it!
