Thanks, Liz and VMD. I think it will go OK. I had just initiated case management for him from what I consider to be my area's best provider, and they are already talking to the hospital. He may be discharged directly to one of their group homes, some of which are in or near our neighborhood.

Rose, I am doing as well as my pain meds allow. I have recently been diagnosed with arthritis in my spine and seem to be allergic to all the meds available so pain meds for me for now. I am still walking and not too much pain sitting.

I am very thankful that it is not worse. I am retired so I don't have to be anywhere and can rest as much as needed. It could be a lot worse.

Rose I am allergic to so many meds that any new things I have to be in the doctor's office to begin taking; I have had five anaphylactic reactions to various drugs and foods, etc. in the past and do not try any new drugs. I am trying to alter my diet to allow for natural healing as much as possible. I will write down the two you have listed and see if I can take them. I will try just about anything to help the pain.
i have been taking t\he combo for over 10 years. i have managed to stop rheumatoid arthritis in it's tracks.
bf, there are two combos. one with sulphur and one without.
I will call doctor in the morning to arrange time to see if I can take these drugs. They are homeopathic, right?
are you living in a cold and damp state bf? If so that dont help very much either
yes, dear. try and pick the one without sulpha...that is your best bet.
Allergic to sulphur. Live near Pittsburgh and most of the time at UPMC. It is cold but I am warm in the house. It seems that the changes in barometric pressure cause some pain. Interesting what we go through.

but you have to find out what kind it is-- they are very different as to treatment. I hope you're seeing a rheumatologist.
Okay enough doom and gloom. This is all so new to me. I go to UPMC, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, which is composed of five hospitals and research facilities. I have specialists reviewing all my tests, etc. This has just been diagnosed in the past few months so I think it will get better once all is known about what I have.

did i ever tell you guys? i took my eldest out of the primary school system for a whole 12 months, at year 5 level. he was in a gifted child school for 12 months at one of our universities. he went back into grade 6, and completed his final year in 5 months.

I know one fella who bought three entire yard sales and stuffed the works in his cube van, went home and whatever price was on the item he doubled then the next week end he sold it all off
works on the ski hill in the winter, so it pays his rent all summer long

Rows, I used to write a lot of poety...even wrote a one-act play when I was 10. These days I'm more philosophical and write less in verse. Currently, I'm still working on getting my book finished. It's about my life.
I do that all the time, too, Mimi, when I see recipes on Facebook. Copy and paste them to Word. Got a lot of good ones off of there.

you should have seen me opening the dollhouse furniture stuff for them this morning. i was a kid myself, sitting on the rug, setting it all up. we gave them all a turn with it first thing. it's so neat hearing them play-act with it. so many of them would never have that chance. one of my little girls said the other day that she didn't have puppets at home.

my company does a lot with them, when you walk onto every floor we have thank you notes and cards framed. so you can tell them the thank-you stuff is appreciated!
that's awesome! i think the thank you notes are the least we can do in return for having the projects funded.
Many children are not taught the importance of thank yous.
i think we only get to send the notes to ones who donated over a certain amount. i wish we could send them to everyone. unless that's changed. i haven't looked at all the rules yet, will be doing that next week.
i have each kid write a note, so last time we did this, i just split the notes up between the ones we were to send them to. so they got a lot each!

so they had people from Waste Management there (they own the landfill), and the Illinois EPA, and the school board, and the county board, and a ton of parents - Frank said people had strong feelings but it stayed civil, which is good
what was the cause?
they were digging a trench in the landfill and hit a pocket of decaying stinky stuff; the wind was blowing towards the school at the time
so the waste management guy said they wouldn't do that any more when the wind was blowing that way
but the county signed an agreement a couple of years ago to expand the landfill, and take in trash from neighboring counties, and people are not happy about it; this wasn't related to that, just normal operation of the existing landfill
