For me the benefit of changing time would be having longer, light evenings. The latest it ever gets dark here is just after 7.00. I miss long, light evenings.

yes, GMT is the zero line, so to speak. And then time is measured in zones. For some reason, the netherlands are in the berlin zone, even though greenwich is closer. But before the time zones, time here was reckoned by the sun and so every town and city had its own time. Things had to change when traffic became faster and easier.

btw, although it looks a bit harsh when the deer were pulled in, that type of ice is buttery smooth. it occurs when it is sunny the day before and you get a thin layer of water on top of the ice and it refreezes with no wind the next night. it is smooth as glass (which is why the deer ran into this problem)

Amazon has good prices for MP3..and when you buy certain CDs, they automatically go to your cloud for MP3 choosing for free. I just gave my daughter my password for my Amazon cloud and, wow, there were over 600 songs on it!

Pandora is totally wonderful. You make up your own radio "stations" by inputting favorite artists and when you go to that station, that type of music plays with a focus on that artist. I've gone crazy for it.
