hanging in there, pug... still trying to get this "gunk" out of my head and chest... starting to think it will never go away
this up and down weather dont help either
Wow, no lie... snow early morning and 60 this afternoon
Are you taking anything for it, Dee?
it was almost 70 here yesterday and today dropping into the low 40's and rain and then down into the 30's and snow for a couple of days
I started some breathing treatments today... have been taking decongestants, allergy med, etc...
sure is crazy weather, even for Indiana
So basically you'd rattle if we shook you!
Wish you well very soon.
LOL... definitely rattly
ow wheeze..
ow = or LOL
have you been to the doctors Dee
not my regular doc, but had a gyn appt and dr reviewed what I should be doing. I think I had pneumonia, but antibiotics helped... now I think it might be a residual asthma. If not better next week, I'll try to get an appt with my regular doc.
He said my chest was "rattly"... well, duh LOL
will put you in my prayers and hope you get better soon
ty vm.. always appreciate prayers ((pug)))
I think RA and fibro are wreaking havoc on my immune system, so having a tough time shaking what started as a normal cold
Taking a break - look after yourself Dee. BBL :)

well so much for the anticipated storm...thunder, lightening, black clouds....and it all passed over us, and is now very, very muggy here.
glad it was no worse for you Diz
yuch, diz.
welcome back, dear. nice to know you are safe.
are you feeling better today Rose?
yes, than, pugs. i didn't take a strong pain med until just now. it's not really the knee, more my shin and ankle. it's all related.
maybe the week end will help you to feel better
pugs, have emailed you. when you are ready, could you please answer. and forgot to ask if what i sent you in my emails helped any.
i'm sort of counting on the 'down' time, pugs. i was nearly in tears in the pool on friday.
Yes, Rose it did and okay, will check it here in a bit, unless you want me to now
do you think you are trying too much too soon
no, no, later is fine. even tomorrow is good. :-)
okay then
i am working with the floatie around my ankle. that makes everything that little more harder to do. also, working in chin deep water...now that's an interesting experience.
does it seem the water is helping--dont sound like it is too much to me but making you hurt more
and even in the shallow end, when i lie back and pedal my legs, all of me wants to go to the surface of the water. so i am using all my muscles to achieve one simple exercise. not just my legs, but arms, shoulders, tummy..
so is that making you sore all over then
pugs, it is the whole idea, that i have to work harder, otherwise i cannot build up my tolerance.
*sigh* yes, exactly.
it was nice though, when i looked in the mirror at home, and realised my tummy was flatter, and my derriere was a little smaller.
I guess its like they say" no pain no gain" it cant be easy for you I know
that would make you feel like something good is coming from all the pain then-lol
i am dreading when physio finishes, and i have to go to the gym. those fit 20-somethings have no idea of what it is like to live with fibromyalgia. it's no use explaining,, exercise hurts and hurts, and no thank-you, i don't want you to massage it.
when is this to take place? Better buy up several tubes of ben-gay--lol
or do you have ben-gay over there
brb
hmmm, haven't heard of it. i use an australian product called pain away arthritis cream. it's main ingredient is arnica which is great for muscle soreness. and yes, i do ues it.
*sigh* coffee time...okay, love, catch you later
you leaving Rose
nah, hun. popping backwards and forwards between sites.
I just didnt want to miss biding you bye if you were--lol
don just googled ben-gay. we can get it on-line. and the site has my magnesium tablets at 3 times the price i pay from the USofA
do you order most of your meds online
i thought you were leaving for your coffee. two of my natural meds i do. they aren't available in australia.
I already got it---the water was already hot so I didnt have to wait long
I got all my paper work done for goverment health care and sent off so now its just a matter of waiting on them
oh, yay, you, pugs. well done. i am proud of you. it is so worth it. i hope so, anyway.
I hope so too--lol---I had to go to the jailhouse for release papers on him, why that has anything to do with me, I dont know
so now its just waiting for the goverment and then the clinic
i hope it doesn't make you personally responsible for him, pugs.
I never thought of that--:( but why would it? Ive never been in trouble with the law
please read them carefully. darn, dinner ready. will check in later to see if you are here. if not, i hope you have a great day.
I will be here for awhile yet--enjoy and hope to see your return --if not good night--love and hugs

good morning all
hi spritey
hi peri!
peri, not above + I *** me down to sleep
good morning friends
hiya Triffles!
hiya! using babble to avoid chores again. Yay!
I LOVE your icon, Trif!
I know, right? it's ENDLESS this year
Greetings Friends :}
hey pug! *hugs*
morning puglet
HUGS Sprite! came to see if I would catch you--yay for me--lol
Hi Tri
was just copying Trif's icon to send to you, lol... just how you are feeling, right?
how is everyone
that's what so great about babble, isn't it puglet? the delight when one signs on and finds a blog full of friends
you are getting all the winter we didn't get this year, Trif. We haven't had snow or ice or even much frost at night.
Iam very much better and thanks for the advice
so true, Trif
and you felt compelled to tell me this WHY sprite?
it is Tri---I had to go do a few things and came to check in and hit the jackpot--lol
errrr... shared misery? I would have preferred a stretch of frost and ice and clear skies over the endless, endless cold rain?
understood. if it helps, remember what I always tell my kids - you don't have to shovel rain
well Sprite, you might not say that with this endless snow and cold temps
big news sprite - valentine is FINALLY moving out of the disgusting rooming house he has been living in, and into a fabulous apartment. I'm SO EXCITED
thats good Tri
that is true, Trif. And pug. It could be worse. Still... it is gonna be a helluva summer here with all the bugs. Usually a lot of the mosquitos and wasps and the works are frozen to death. This year... we will get the whole enchilada.
its so great. everyone at the last place smoked - hated going there. It was like an opium den
oh wowwwwww Trif! That is so awesome! Congratulations!
lol at miss netherlands saying "enchilada"
well good excuse for you to come and share the summer with me--lol
good morning everyone:)
ohhhh I wish, pug! I wish! Would love to come and visit you.
crossy! it's an embarrassment of riches this morning!
Hello Mr Crossy
hey crossy! *hugs*
it was almost 70 here yesterday and I went walking along the river--so nice
((sprite, puglet, Trif))
group hug!
just read it in your email, pug, so lovely. And so good for you to get out of the house and into the peace of nature.
hugs to all :)
*joins in the group hug and holds her friends close*
nice puglet! we are having a true New England experience at the moment. Warmish one day, cold as brass the next. a particular highlight is today's forecast - 54, with a chance of snow. huh?
I guess hot snow is in our future
even those in la-la land--lol
hot snow, huh. I guess warm water raining down will be the next thing.
yeah those temps were short lived, today in the 30's and to stay cold for most of the week and snow showers the first of the week
brrrrr at snow showers. Have to draw a line somewhere. Refuse to take snow showers :D
why Sprite? That would perk you up LOL
had an interesting apt with the doctor yesterday. was there to check up on some tests the mrs had done. they are so good with the blood work now they can say that my beloved WILL have diabetes within 5 years if she does not change her diet/ weight/ lifestyle. Blood numbers can tell them everything it seems.
would put me into the danger zone of being perked up, lol
oh dear, crossy :( Not easy for her. But great to have such early warnings.
well she has time to change Crossy---thats a plus
I love that they can give early warnings now.
snap :)
have you gotten to rest up Sprite--and you feeling better
seems her cut off is 25 grams of sugars per day or just a tad over 6 teaspoons in all her food and drink per day
I am feeling good, pug, am so happy with last week. But the body is protesting... second day after overtaxing is always the worst one. tomorrow things will be better.
alot of sugar comes from starches too
did you and Bridg have a nice outing
as pug says, please look into the hidden sugars. Lots and lots of those.
will do
I saw in early chat that there is a un8/9 and as9 but I do not see them, help pls.
why are you overtaxed, sprite? what did you do yesterday?
will be going for a walk in a bit. supposed to go up to 65 but still in the 40's at the moment
Hi peri--are you doing better
enjoy your walk, peri!
yes
I clued it for you earlier, peri, the un8/9
sorry, sprite, I missed, bathroom break :)
crossy: I went to a reunion combined with supervision and intervision of my old coaching training. It was inspirational and fun and like a warm bath.
UN9 what you put beneath carpets.
Crossy, what about your neck--did you get anything done for that yet
would you pls clue it again, sprite
lol peri, np. Not above + I *** me down to sleep, plural.
HEY ZOOM, howdy
hi zooz! *hugs*
Bonjour Babblers :-)
ty sprite and zooz. new word for me
yvw peri
does anyone have the as9
sorry, no
I do not have the AS9 yet.
asked the dr about that as well, since I have heard no word from specialist in the city. Seems they have a terrible backlog and I am not even near to being placed on the list yet. However, he has heard of a second specialist in another medical centre down there who is currently taking patients, so he will try to refer me there.
ok crossy, will keep my fingers crossed for you.
I hope you can get in...you been waiting for along time already
until then, I must be very careful as my neck was creaking and cracking horribly yesterday and when it cracks , it is quite painfull. I must baby it
can you wear a brace on it
please do baby it, crossy.
Gosh that does not sound very nice, Crossy.
I bet the cold weather dont help either
hows things with you Zoom
I could, but I do not think it has come to a brace yet. a brace is good and bad, yes I get support , but bad because all the muscles start to weaken
yes, if a brace is necessary, you shouldn't wear it all the time.
That with your apnea..i am surprised you can stay positive and learn at school..Good going!
our crossy is a hero
I am well thanks, Puglet, hope you too are doing well?
just stop turning to look at all them coeds--lol
funny thing is my apnea seems to have eased. odd, but true
lol
Iam doing okay, thanks Zoom
lol, I sit with my back to the wall so they can parade past in front of me:)
Are you close to exam time yet, Crossy?
exam is this Monday. I am so looking forward to it! :))
I have gone back to classes to learn maths..not doing too well..lol
oh wow, nice going zooz!
awsome Zoom
Oh i have every faith you will pass, Crossy, you seem to be a natural learner from the posts i have seen in the chog :-)
it is a good thing, zooz. I wish I had done this decades ago
will cross fingers Crossy you come away with A+'s
you will love going back for classes, zooz
just doing something with the old brain is great in itself, zooz. It will get easier down the road.
How are you, Spritey?
Yes it is to aid me in my job search..but i am not keen on maths...afraid to say i am not very good at it..and find it very boring..just not me..lol
I am fine! Had a grand time at my 'old' coaching school last week. Part reunion, part supervision, part intervision, part new information. Loved it so much.
lol, I love spring. Environment Canada and the local weather service has just issued a heavy snowfall warning. Seems were are to get about 8 inches in a fast 4 hour time frame today
Sounds like it was good all round then..glad you enjoyed it.
Does not sund very nce, Crossy :-(
that spells winter in my book, not spring, lol
zooz, I do not know your age, but they teach very differently from what you may remember and it is all to the good. before going back last September, my last experience in classes was in 1980!!. If I can pull a 91% in math, I am sure you will do fine
I am 50 now..but no..i just can not seem to concentrate on something i just have no interest in...I know maths is very important in life..but i just find it so dull..but i am giving it my best shot...always in awe of people who can calculate large sums in their heads in seconds..lol
i am 50 this may:)
Will you be holding a party?
ok... my last word is that as9 that peri asked for earlier. Could I please get a clue?
it did not hurt that my math teacher was a young thing of 30 and very easy on the eyes;) i know..crossy is a pig.
i will be having a grand party. you are invited zooz
congrads Sprite
teehee, Crossy!
thanks pug, lol, but I still need that last word.
Sorry, Sprite, I still do not havethat one either.
as + way down *o***r in the papaw patch + a un 4 of weight
the big 5-0 mid-life crisis time. I already did the vehicle. tearing around in my new jeep. Asked my beloved if i could trade her in for two 25 year olds and she said no, so both those bases are covered
morning OO
Hello, pugs
lol
it means leaving out contractions-- it ends in *****ate a bomb --explode it
thanks, o-o and Kateq. That is one of the weirdest word I have ever seen in babble.
Thank you, o-o & Kateq!
thanks OO
Congrats, Sprite!
yw! at least it wasn't one of those with no definition
tyvm kateq
good to see you, o-o. And you too, Kateq.
now congrats Sprite--lol
hehehe thanks! I am bidding you all goodbye for now. May you have a blessed day and a peaceful night. *hugs*
tc ((sprite))
Have a grand day, Sprite :-)
same to you friend--rest well
i am sure you would not trade your wife in for any other lady, Crossy :-)
jumping in and hello everybody
Hello, Ruby :-)
Hi Ruby, hugs
we finally got the UK's rain but actually need it; the gharden was parched
{{littlepugs}}
((ruby))
Glad to want it, Ruby...I will instruct the rain to stay there then..lol
you not to
I've actually had to water the garden twice this past week
Water the garden? We still have melting snow!
and now it is time for Crossy's tidbit of the day!!!
0.3% of all road accidents in Canada involve a Moose.
Hello, Bichon :-)
{{bichon}}
Hi bichon
Wonders how much 0.3% equates to?
hi yous guys
at 30 million people i think that is 900,000 per year
if all 30 mil of us drive that is
wow then that is a lot..gosh.
some of our eastern provinces have more moose than people almost
are you in on that number Crossy
no, but i have hit many deer in the past. It is not fun at all.
Sounds cruel but do you take the deer home and have it for meals?
a deer is 150-300 ponds, a moose however, can be 1000,-1500 pounds and up.
no, deer killed by impact, get bruising of the meat and it spoils it
some do, but i do not
We have a strange law here in the UK. you are allowed to take road kill home if some-one else kills the animal..but you are not allowed to take it home if you kill the road kil yourself.
I would guess it would put a mild dent in the car--lol
i have found that it is not worth it. we just call the game wardens and they are removed, along with whatever is left of our cars
A mild dent..lol...yeah right :-)
thats very odd Zoom
go prove it, zzoozz! lol
eer through the windshield are no joke and a moose1!!!!
hitting a moose can be a death sentence. it is a very different and very dangerous thing
LOL..good point , Ruby :-)
I bet crossy...they are so tall and heavy
and ruby is correct, with the height of the moose, the body tends to want to crush the cab and come right through the windshield of the vehicle
Oh i agree, Crossy, for the most part...here it would nothing much over the size of a fox..unless you live much further north, Scotland say.
now, how many times have i told you, zooz, you cannot go around hunting Scots!
Teehee, you are bad..lol
crossy is terrible:)
But funny..which is nice :-)
OK i need to go and do some errands...nice talking to you all. Will be back much later in the day...byee!
bye Zoom
tc Zooz
{{zzoozz}}
back in 10 min.. semi-poink!
how are things with you Ruby
dh is horrible but other wise, i'm feeling better
I don't think he can help it, being nasty, but it's still very unpleasant
I know all to well what you mean----how your Lady, she still doing good on the walks
she is an angel-dog but today it's raining too hard to walk them' they can go in the garden whenever. It is warm enough to have the door open
It was real nice here yesterday and I took Beulah and Annapooh walking along the river
you can walk both of them together??? If I tried that with mine, I would be dragged to my death
Of course they had to get into the river--lol and then they found some kind of dead animal hide and had to roll all over it so today will be bath time--lol
I dont have to leash them there
aah. Raffie smells like she was rolling in dead fish, but I think it's because she drinks from the fishpond and then dribbles down her front
but I have walked them both and its not too bad--the pug is the worse for she wants to go side to side--Beulah is a real dream to walk
Raffie goes in a pretty straight line but, although she isn't running, she walks a little bit faster than is comfortable for me. I have to get used to it as it's probanbly good for me
Is Raffie a french name
Her real name is Rafaella and she comes from Spain. Rufie is really Ruffino and he was born in Italy. But they are all of them (all 7 of our chows) related by blood to the Mi_Pao kennel in Ontario
oh, thats cool
You gotta really love a dog if you will cuddle with it when it smells like dead fish : O
I hate to leave you alone Ruby, I need to get busy doing some things- Hope the day gets better for you and please tell Crossy bye if he comes back--hugs
greater love has no man.....
Molly, I need to send you an e-mail with questions about Alzheimer's. Would you pls send me an e-mail as I don't want to burden the chog
when they are really stinky, I wrap them in a towel first, then cuddle
I use a "Gentle Leader" and that makes it easy to walk two dogs
do you think that would work with (total)135 lbs or so of dog when I weigh about 100?
Well, that's hard, but it might work. You control the dog by pulling on the leash and the face points to you
when you come and visit, you can try it.....lol
someone here recommended a book for four year old boys about a king but I do not remember the name. help pls. I have birthdays coming up.
129 and see you later, kids
Good morning!
good morning all
Hello WV!
hello car
Happy Birthday, Car!!!
Hi Scrabs! TYVM!
happy birthday car - today is also my son's birthday
You are a Queen today! Your family better treat you well.
TYVM WV! Please wish him a happy birthday from me!
Ummmm...so far no one has remembered here in the house.
Is anyone else awake?
My mom is...but she has no idea it is my birthday. Damn Alzheimer's...which is bummin' me out.
Dylan woke up and went to the bathroom and said "hi" but that is it.
My hubby rolled over and asked if I had taken the puppy out.
It is sad to watch an aging human being, whether it is the skeletal system or heart or brain that deteriorates.
How is that cute Archer?
I am very sad about it today.
Archer is a love bug! Had a great checkup yesterday!
*Champagne and strawberries to the birthday girl*
Now, if we can just get him potty trained for good....
Hi Molly! TYVM! My favorite!
I am trying to get bunny Miss Bea litter box trained again, as she recovers from her illness.
stats for a 9 please
How is Miss Bea?
as9
un9
Got the UN9! TYVM!
She began hopping around 2 wks ago! The head tilt is milder. But she is weak. I hope to see further improvement. It has been almost 5 wks since her illness began.
That is a long time. I am glad she is on the mend.
crossy is back:) and good morning to all new arrivals:)
Good morning Crossy!
Hi Polar Bear. Is today your swim in the lake?
hello crossy
tomorrow scrabby
howdy car:)
BRB, must get some breakfast.
interesting. they have compiled data on the best selling authors since 2001. #1 is James Patterson, #2 is J.K. Rowling and #3 is Nora Roberts. Who can guess #4 for me without googling?
good morning- Steven King??
steven king would also be my guesss
John Grisham? Janet Evanovich?
danielle steel
I bet that's it, ivesy
doesnt matter what she writes, people love her lol
Not guessing, read the same article.
Many popular writers stick to the same formulaic plots.
yes they do.. after awhile it gets boring. for me anyway.
waiting on pins and needles for crossy answer.. must get ready to go to work lol
Dr Suess!
Hmm, I think someone peeked
Of course. It is interesting to see the UK list too.
green eggs and ham eh? cool :-)
ding ! ding!! yaa for scrabby!!!
thats interesting.. wouldnt have guessed him.
and now i must go to work, i must..yes i must i must.....
I found the article, Crossy.
lol.
Some popular books are terribly written.
oh well. think i will just stick to tidbit(with proper citations for those who demand it)
Books are like art and music--you like what you like.
Arthur Hailey was bad for that. His books were good, yes, but he had an exact formula that he never strayed from and you could see it in almost all of his books
Airport, Hotel, Wheels. etc. they all followed the same guideline
Musicians can fall into the same trap. REM comes to mind.
i tend to avoid pharmacy 'flavor of the month" books for just that reason, scrabby
Yes, and I decided to not read Dan Brown's latest, Inferno, for that reason.
if they are yammering about it on the morning talk shows, i run the other way
That's why I decided to not join the local book club. The suggestions for the following year were all popular books, "light" stuff. Not the right club for me.
not that i see talk shows any longer. best thing i ever did was get rid of cable tv programming
agreed scrabby. book clubs tend to fall into that rut
hello
Well, people have their preferences so we don't all like the same books, or art, or music. "To each his own."

good morning everyone
howdy, flosey
hi flos
hi kj
crossy, are you into Spring yet?
second official day of spring and we have a heavy snow fall warning issued with 8-10 inches expected today
ah, heck - but guess the skiers will be out in force to grab a few runs before things close up ?
we had one snowfall a few weeks ago - did a fair bit of damage - trees down over hydro wires mainly - but closed a few roads, etc - and power outages
it was gone in a few days
the skiers will ski until the centre of the runs are bare and they are churning up grass and mud with every run ;)
we still have lots of ground cover
hate to think of what that does to the skis
and how are you and Mrs. keeping?
we are doing well, flosey, and you?
skiers, as a rule, have money to burn. I do not think they care if they grind the skis up a bit getting in that last run.
doing well, thanks
if there is a cannery, i want a tinnery

Hi crossy!! What's for brunch?
ty, baking an apple pie then out for the rest of the day ( pie is my contribution to supper)
oh.. I love apple pie
half way! (finally)
*follows flosey everywhere*
huh. and i apparently got nbt at some point.
I froze apples this fall, will be making a pie next weekend.
brunch today is a simple one. Ceylon orange pekoe tea steeped strong and sweet(like crossy) and crunchy toasted English muffins with 3- fruit marmalade or fresh home made apple jelly
brb..coffee refill
MMMM...sounds yummy!
oh and nothing but real creamery butter here. All those chemicals in margarine are scaring me!
english muffins sound yummy... haven't had those in a while
crossy even makes his own butter now and tehn. A while ago i picked up a antique beater jar and it does a great job!
then
Beater jar sounds more than a little weird
they are handy, mine has a cucumber green glass 2 cup measuring jar with it, but you can find some that were made to fit one quart or 2 quart old style mason jars
ebay often has a few for sale
here is one at a great price!..
http://tinyurl.com/p2sq7v5
though this one is more for eggs and batter. Need one with thicker blades for butter
*wonders if Michael Jackson had one*
I have been off margarine for 30 years now. And we are lucky enough to have an Amish community north of here that makes fresh butter.
I never use anything but olive oil and butter.. margarine will never be in my kitchen
I have even learned the supposed rule of not using olive oil in baking is a fallacy.
olive oil brownies...olive oil pound cake.
I don't really bake.. I'm not great at measuring exact amounts
lots of olive oil baked goods are great though
a good quality olive oil rocks in the kitchen
i often use extra virgin olive oils in my cake mixes
I made butter once. I was trying to make whipped cream.
lol
My mom has even left margarine. She used to really give me heck about dissing butter, now she, who really reads up on things, changed to butter and olive oil.
lol.. sure you aren't sambo?
OUch swmbo
iasy
a nice high butter fat content cream will do that:)
yay, finished!
??? don't know where those 4 letters came from
yaaa for saan!
wow saanich.. well done.. I'm never getting low enough without listing
WooT WooT WooT saanichcat!!

yay jilly!
thank you, thank you! Champers all round! Off now to morning chores...
I just thought you couldn't whip the cream too much. Turns out I was wrong.
well, you made nice butter instead. all is good.

and now, i'm thinking about trains
hello jes
trains?
SMom, did you ever figure out how to make the print bigger?
we have a train that comes through where i live
i've been watching reruns of bbt
hi molly...... i made the font bigger for aol but it doesn't work for this game
This little train, painted black It comes chugging down the track With a “Choo-choo; Toot-toot†Hear the whistle blow This little train goes chugging home. This little car painted blue It has seats for me and you With a “Choo-choo; Toot-toot†Hear the whistle blow This little train goes chugging home. This little car painted yellow It shimmies and shakes like a bowl of jello With a “Choo-choo; Toot-toot†Hear the whistle blow This little train goes chugging home. This little car, painted green It’s the fanciest car you’ve seen, With a “Choo-choo; Toot-toot†Hear the whistle blow This little train goes chugging home. This little car; it is grey It takes you places far away With a “Choo-choo; Toot-toot†Hear the whistle blow This little train goes chugging home. This caboose; it is red It will take you home to bed With a “Choo-choo; Toot-toot†Hear the whistle blow This little train goes chugging home.
lol
SMom, make sure your CAPS LOCK is on. Then hit CTRL and the + sign key at the same time. Each time you do that, the print will get bigger.
TRIED it molly.. dlesn

mouse wheel*
haven t figured out on chrome how to have a favorites list or e mail ......

It makes for a good story, I bet
i think they've rescales the currency since then, but it used to cost ~10,000 to use a public bathroom
Oh, what stories we could tell!
hahah
Imagine really having to use a bathroom and fumbling with all those coins
haha
or maybe it was paper money (oh no!)
I'm back....hey ruby :)
how are you, smores
actually, i think it may have been all paper
watched the video welki...cute
easier to print than to mint
doing okay ruby..how about you?

home made pizza ...yum
My new phones can block numbers. Loving it.
Call block is a beautiful thing.
Wish our house phone had an ignore feature like my cell
oh, yes, Molly!
Ignore feature on house phone = don't answer and let it go to voice mail : D
5 rings is too much...LOL
But call block is the best.
Reset the ring amount.
Our house phone always goes to voice mail. Then we get an email as to who it is. Mostly it's sales calls
Everyone knows to call on our cells
Mine too Bich, I never answer the land line.
My problem is caller ID comes up with private number, which is often sales calls, but also comes up when BIL calls from Canada
It's part of our UVerse package
Crossy loves call block. You get one chance under unknown name/unknown number, and if you try to give me a survey ro sell me something, it is a polite goody-bye and to call block you go.
or
right!
All my land line calls go straight to voice mail. If it's someone I want to talk to, they will leave a message and I will call them back. I am on the phone enough at work.
my land line is being sent back. it is so little used, I can no longer justify the expense.
I will answer if I am sure who it is, family, etc If not to voice mail.
Down to 70...be back later
bye....
bye for now
FW hagn all
ciao, hego

Hello all. I am learning the intricacies of putting music onto ITunes, compilments of my younger daughter. There is much eye rolling & under the breath muttering, but I think I have the hang of if now. I need about a month off work to devote to putting fave music onto my iphone.
can't relate, soodle - I found it pretty intuitive! but good for you for figuring it out!
Kje, I envy you. But, now I have about 200 songs.... sad ones, happy ones, ballad ones, ones for every occasion. Delighted with myself.
that is great! you can take them everywhere now
Listening to Robbie Williams singing Mac th
The Knife.... Lovin' life!
: )
*Thinks the Bobby Darin version is the high, holy of Mack The Knife*
Sadly admits that it was only when I got the Robbie Williams Swing When Your Winning album that I actually listened to swing music. I'm now listening to Mr Bojangles.

Hi Cos...I did send a message to Upworthy to let them know of subtitle issue.
yay got all the Qs
Hi Lil
Hi lil!
My dad's favourite flowers are daisies..but the bigger ones, but i can't think of the proper name for them.i had them in a garden years ago but i hadn't planted them and he said then that they were his favourite flower and for a man's man to admit that, put him higher in my estimation, than he already was!
((lil)), lovely to see you hin:D
Monkey!!!
And Little is here too:D
Ah, both Lil's
yay the whole gang
Cannot find the na5...clues plz?
evening all
Hello dan2
na5...goat or child care provider
Or goaty child care provider
Hey lil..
Hry dan..
Hi Dan
I like the idea of a goat babysitting the children
TY molly and thunk for me...working on wrong N.
Lol that is funny
<---thinking of puppet show in Sound of Music
Laydee oh de laydee oh de lay hee hee!
great clue Mols:0
I love that Musical Jill
Anyway, i'm shutting up now...wonder how long that will last...i'm betting 10 minutes(aye right)!! lol
*Puts money on less than 10 minutes*
ms L you are a woman after my own heart...
Name that proper bluesman
John ...
Belushi!
No, in the grid, silly jilly
Ma6 proper name
Got it...
Lilliann - did you mean Marguerites that your father liked or mesembryanthemums (Cape Daisies)
mayer?
Oh my, I think of all the classic blues men and that is the one you were thinking of.
you can say it, it's not a useable word
No. Mayall. No prizes.
but down to 44....must start dinner. Happy Babbling all and bbl! My favorite author ma4/7 and first part of 80's band mo6/27 are in da grid!
John Mayall's Blues Band?
I think BB King would balk at "Your Body Is A Wonderland" being a "blues" song : D
I don't care. John Mayall is in the grid.
I did 10 minutes without chatting!! Yay:) hi Jax, i'll have to look, all i know is that they were big daisies, i think they may be called Bella..something
Took my cats to the vet today for the first time.
The only bella.. I can think of is Belladonna and that is not Daisylike, Lilliann
Felt like a new parent. Sort of.
Yeah, but it puts you in the PB, jaxx.
As long as it is quiet and peaceful in there
always. With chocolate.
And I'm not in it yet.
Then i am happy to go.
The PB is a good place.
Not like the prisons of America.
*Bets L was looking at the time while she waited for 10*
Lilliann - Bellis is the latin name for daisies.
gotta eat.
It is the Marguerite daisy i think Jax
Enjoy Kap
We have some in our garden and they are lovely
Molly...No i wasn't...much...:)
I want mesembryanthemums to be in a grid some day.
Nope, it's too long, not feasibly possible.
Too long!!
It would almost fill the grid on its own.
... it's only 17 letters ... it would fit ... but it might be hard to get any more words in the grid
I sometimes wonder who named plants. I mean really.
When i have my back garden done Jax, i may have them
I think I did very well to spell it at all given that it is 11.40pm here
I think we could make words out of that word...at thye end of the day we are Babblers:)
They make a nice large plant and the foliage is nice as well.
Oh L, I hope at the end of the day we are more than just people who play Babble, truly I do.
But they spread, and i will only have tubs and walls, and i can't think of the word...two walls with earth in?
I could call myself a few things Molly....:D
Raised beds?
yes..retaining
if you leave them in the pot, they won't spread that far.
i've never tried them in pots Jax and atleast they'll grow back every year
It is like mint. That can take over but you plant it in a pot you restrict it to the pot.
And you cut them back
I want to still grow my veg and fruit in pots, so i've got to think about what i'll grow and in my back garden it is sunny all the time
What fruit can you grow in pots?
But i'll still have tubs in the front garden, but i don't want too many as i've still got to be able to llok after them and as i'm not always able too, my plants suffer with hubby being away and the bairn doesn't like gardening and i don't like to force her on it
Self watering tubs and water retaining granules, Lilli
i have an apple tree, plum, cherry, blueberries, raspberries, tomatoes, strawberries
They are all in pots
Try espaliers
You have trees in pots? How big are the trees?
it's not the self watering thing jax, it's the weeding
Mulch them
They are little trees...5ft now i think but grow fruit every year.i can put them into the ground if i want...i might well do when my back garden is done
bark chippings or black plastic
I've done that in the past but weeds still grow
But, when my back garden is done so i can get to it in my chair i will be able to just potter when i can and blackmail the bairn to help me with pocket money:)
It's too bad that girlie is not of more help to you since your husband is away so much.
She does ironing now Molly which helps...saying that...majority is hers!! :)
Mulching should reduce the weed growth and pots can be raised off the ground to be easier to reach
Do you think she would come and do mine? I hate it.
She does hoovering and washing up
Well, that being the case, I think she does quite a bit. Just make your pots more Lilliann friendly
I love how you all call vacuuming, hoovering. The Hoover people probably love it too. : D
She would do your's and anyone elses if they asked Jax, and be lovely and hard working...it's just me, she not like that for
is she your grandchild or daughter?
I have to redo the washing up and hoovering she only does twice a week and that is her room and the stairs
My daughter.she's 14 now
Wait, what is the point of her doing it if you have to redo it?
My back garden is being designed on 3 levels with ramps for me jax and there will be raised beds on the outside, and in the middle so i can get around them and plant
it is those hormones again. I find teenagers can be sweetness and light with people thye are not related to and then show the other side when they relax at home.
I don't redo the hoovering
My husband moans at her for the washing up when he is here too Molly
hi again :)
My late son was difficult at home but folk would come up to me and say what a lovely, polite young man he was. Not at home, he wasn't.
At the end of the day she is doing really well at school and i'm a proud mam and i'm also proud when i hear from others how lovely, polite and helpful she is...it just me she's not
Kids her age are capable of a lot more helping out than that L. I'm sorry it's a problem for you, especially when you need it more than most.
get your husband to do it. mine does.
He works away majority of the year jax...he's away now and i don't know when i'll see him next...which is hard for the bairn
Mind you, it has taken 44 years to bash him into shape. :)
and for you.
Aye it is for me too, but the bairn and i muddle through
She will do loads of things for me without asking and then other times it's a battle
She's a teenager
Being a female doesn't help...Hormones are horrible things!!
When she's 20, we'll probably be best of friends...hopefully, but until then we are too much alike and it will always be a battle
I bet you and she will be close sooner than that. She can't have a go at her dad as he's not always there
I thought boys were always better than girls Jax?
Not in my experience
She always sticks up for her dad whether he's here or not...i'm the bad one!!
My boys have always been very helpful. They started doing chores when they were little.
Boys are more open about being naughty while girls tend to be sneaky
He'll tell her off on the phone and then she's nasty to me after
What else can she do Lilli
What are you feeding those boys on, Molly
The bairn was the same when she was little, as that was the way we brought her up to be, but now she's rebelling but i think it's because some of her friends get everything they want for nowt...as in they ask, they get, but we have brought her up, that she has to earn things
Aye, jaxx, she'll always be dad's girl... i must admit i was like that but i had to work for my pocket money and now i'm closer to my mam than my dad as he's a man's man and doesn't quite know how to talk to me now bless him
Peer pressure can be a bummer. We never had much money and my daughter announced one day that she was deprived as she had never been abroad. We just couldn't afford holidays. Now she has a family of her own she admits she understands so much better that money doesn't grow on trees. They were warm, well fed and had a roof over their head and that should have been enough.
Feeding them on? I don't know, consequences for their actions I guess. If they didn't help out, there were consequences. It was a life lesson.
I am supposed to be making a birthday card for my B-I-L for tomorrow and now it is tomorrow. I must go and get it done. Night all. Nice to chat and put our worlds to rights. Bye
You're like me Jax, yopu leave it to the last minute!I bet it will still be a great card.tc hin
any1 have the fourth row N?
Sounds like the ocean current Harry
ty molly :) nbt now

Hi HH.Yay
I'm still missing a 9
I got a un9
I have the as, but don't ask me to clue it:)
If you want a clue i've thought of one
Can you clue the un9 please
halfway!
OK, I'll take a clue
un9 - plural of what lies beneath something else (compound word)
as and a woman's name..l** (short for linda, spelt differently) and 5 letters for starting a bomb off
Use the nearly vowel
Ty HH
yw. not getting the bomb word
To *****ate a bomb,
as sounds like assigned and ends with 2,000 pounds
ty got it
strange word
hi alfred
Hi Ru:)
Diving back in
Hiya...oh never mind

hi harry
Hello again babbleworld..25 to go, time to finish!
108 - stuck
hi jilly
Hi harry, ruru and molly!
30 here.. slow going
<----admits to listing....
gonna go list...just don't have the patience tonight.
I've never understood the "shame" in listing. No one acts "ashamed" of getting clues. Same difference.
goddam babblets
RURU!
I know Molly, just that there are those original babblers that can do it without listing.
hi all. any clues for the 9s?
wonders who original babblers are?
<-----shuts mouth
It's not really a put down, just an encouragement
as7 please?
I finish grids without the list.. but I'm not an original babbler
Ye Babble Players Of Olde
as+most of storm sound mab
oh there it is! thanks jilly :)
sounds like an irish pub
yw mab
Back in the day...I used to walk five miles barefoot in the snow, while I solved the Babble grid I had etched in blood on my forearm...
Just 5's left...found all the ones that I didn't put the root word in
Molly...you forgot "uphill both ways"
No Lickety back then, just true grit
go jilly!
and all the clues didn't have stars
Or hump letters
oh..

<-----!!FW!!
Well, snake letter, chair letter, stick letter, cross letter ..
Yay Jj!
congrats jilly
I am never going to finish this bastard
It's a partial language in Babble!
Oh ruru, if I can, you can....of course one must list ;)
i'm trying to be original
Allowances are made for The Sweetie Of Babble Chat, go for it
any clues for the 9s? pretty please?

howdy again everyone
ty.
np

God help me on this one as9/72= as+sometimes vowel+half hump+a bike ri**+unit of measure

ty
where is half humo?

great clues.
half hump rather
got it. ty ty. i looked up meaning and cant even understand that!
lol, I posted the meaning earlier
silly word anyways
Reading back..you'd be amazed, Jilly, what can be done on both a bike and a car!
first time I have seen it in babble in 5 years, and if another five years go by before I see it again, I shall be happy
nothing worse than a half hump
....martini talking!
the meaning i read had nothing to do with car or bike stuff. was about english usage.
<----groans
Yes Mimi, I think she would be amazed : D
((ruru)) Ain't that the truth!
And hello mimicat...LOL on cars and bikes
she was just guiding you there, many of my clues will have no relation whatsoever to what the word actually is. it is a nudge, nothing more
On a bike, sometimes it's a half bump hump
And, oooh...the gearshift in a car...ouch!
you take things too manually mimi :D
watch out for 6th gear in those sports cars!
One of my early boyfriends' parents had one of the first Mustangs...bucket seats, gearshift, small back seat= involuntary birth control!
Congratulations to anyone who can half hump in a sports car...contortionists
I ALWAYS watch out for 6th gear, crossy....
skylights
I'm good at ramblers :D
we once got 15 people in a VW beetle:)
Don't even get me started on skylights, crossy! So many possibilities....
or she was good at ramblers...
So, it was a clown car, crossy?
Loved the ramblers, ruru...back seat folds down...
lol, I was the clown, was jammed in the passanger seat with 3 people on top[ of me
People...people...skylights = houses...sunroofs = cars
*ah.. fond memories*
3 on top of you, huh? I can't beat that!
i hate vw Beetles..ugly car plus my brother got hurt whilst his friend ws driving one
yes, yes, I stand corrected, ty molly
...and some not so fond...
((mimi)) You're so bad hin..lol
It's the martini talking, lilliann! (That's my story and I'm sticking to it.)
i must read your book mimi!
If anyone can manage to have trouble with the skylights while half humping, more power to you. Yowza!
Aye, course it is...we're still all waiting for your book and then you can make that excuse!! :D
It will curl your hair, crossy...everywhere.
LOL
OK--I'm getting totally out of control. Best leave before I embarrass myself (or is it too late?) Hugs to all...need dinner..
it better, i want to have to break out all the volumes of the kama sutra for parts i do not understand
I'll give you my notes, crossy....
tc ((mimi))
Mimi probably wrote it:)
mm, wonders how she kept notes with all that going on?...
Or starred in it:)
ROFL, lilliann!
Sorry
That's actually closer to the truth than I want to admit...but the book will tell ALL.
I'm a multi-tasker, crossy.
must be one of those astronaut pens that write upside down and sideways!
Wow, if Mimi starred in, or wrote The Kama Sutra, she is a lot older than I thought.
Hysterical, crossy!
the skylights are where the legs go molly :D
ruru, were we ever in a car together? That's absolutely right!
Well, I have long legs, but I have yet to put them through a skylight. Something to aim for.
You really need to finish this book Mimi.If i ever win the Lottery which is highly unlikely i will fund you so you can finish it
Older than I want to admit to, Molly.
we had a skylight in our motor home. there ya go.
My legs just about reach the dash board and that's wishful thinking!!
OK, crossy...so you need a table to get those legs out the skylight.
...preferably with bacon on it...
And i wasn't talking about driving....
mmm,bacon
I'm glad you don't drive with your feet on the dashboard L
think Meatloaf sand about this.
You guys are too much...love it...now must go and eat something...again, hugs.
that ole rambler kept changing music stations :D
sang
Bedroom rearranged. New bed set up. Now relaxing on my new bed.
is it sertafiable cos?
That can be a good thing, ruru...if they play the Star Spangled Banner, you'll have to stand at attention....oh, my..did I really say that?
Beats a car, cos.
Cars had bigger radio buttons back then.
actually yes it is :)
LOL MOLLY
I don't need Francis Scott Key to be at attention mimi :D
Many things seemed bigger back then...
I can believe that, ruru...
*Thinks Mimi decided that dinner would be Martini number two*
Whew---am I responsible for the naughty turn the chat has taken? Well, then..my work here is done.
LOLOLOL
LOL, Molly...too true.
i'm diving back in...probably shouldn't be saying that with the way the conversation has been going!! :D
*wipes screen*
Night ((Mimi)) Tc hin:D
ROLF, ruru...now, I'm gone...really...honestly...
*wanders back through* Anybody need clues?
((mimi))
*needs more paper towels*
Yep, jes, I need a clue...but has nothing to do with the grid...poof!
heh. well, I can attempt off-grid advice as well, but I may have to plead lack of expertise :)
I think it's pretty much a clueless bunch at this point.
Stop it Mimi..i'm spitting my drink!!..
Wish I could say that, jes...actually..no, I don't! Now leaving! Pour another, lilliann!
Shut up Ru and Crossy...i can see your minds going....
Love a good audience....poof...for real!
Oh, but not my lily white mind. It's not going anywhere. Honest injun.
bye, mimi, have fun
my mind is pure as the driven snow at this moment. have no idea what you are talking about, Lilliann:))
*Sits back to watch how many times Mimi leaves and then returns*
Aye, i can see your's working too Molly:)
that is mimi, always coming and going
driven-on snow, maybe...
lol Crossy
Yes, my future becomes my past really quickly, crossy. I always find words when I'm leaving. Done now...really, Molly...really.
Or in ZZ Top vernacular, pure as the driven slush
Lol Molly
"she's got legggs.."
*Hears the gin bottle pouring and waits*
..."out the skylight"...
You were right Molly..mimi's like me, she always comes back and i never stop talking!!
Pure as the driven slush comes from Pearl Necklace, but we really can't go there.
"give me a double shot of that juice.."
and she knows how to use them...
LOl PHan
Amen and hallelujah, phan....vodka, Molly...I'm gone..in more ways than one.
*waits for mimi's return*
If we talk about Monkeys ...she'll return
ROFL, lilliann...you know me TOO well.
Told ya!! :D
Lillian is no chimp.. er I mean chump

Ah, see. The Sweetie Of Babble Chat still rules.

At this point in life, lilliann, mine is a tootsie roll....poof!
<---loves tootsie
hats off to harry!
Yay!!WTg HH
*giggles*
have a good night!
I think I need a walk....
Aye, mines now to my knees Mimi :(
It's official. Mimi now holds the Babble record for "un-poofing" Ta da!
i think i need a drink..
Do I get a present or is it an honorary title, Molly?
I had such a great day...
tc everyone and have a good night.. poink!
Well Mimi, I would make you another drink, but that seems redundant.
Glad you had a great day Ru, you deserved it.
Bye crossy and tc
Funny, Molly...love it. I'll try crossy's gone phrase...poink!
Omg, i'm crying!!
*Hands L a tissue*
Thanks Molly
*note to self.. write to Dr. God and change Lillian to "sniffles"
*Puts out hangover stuff for Mimi*
You're too blame for tears aswell as Molly and definitely Mimi:)
I think we are beyond talking about things that "aswell" L
i'm definitely going now and finding words...
:)
We now return the chat to it's regularly scheduled "pleasant talk" Pardon the bawdy for cutting loose for a while.
there was pleasant talk?
there's a regular schedule?
:-)
back to finish up
why is it always bawdy when I'm around ?
because you're around

I don't think that's true Ru, i think that you are a misconstrued person.....i just think that you are a sexy hunk of a man!! :D....

*Prints more I LOVE RURU t-shirts*
teehee
down to the last dozen
All the lady babblers will be chanting 'We Love Ru' and wearing Molly's printed T-shirts :)
Go Smores!!
they might sell better than "I love babble" t-shirts :D
No offense Ru, but I have deep concerns for anyone who would wear either one : P
Don't let your head get too big Ru!! ;)
I'd wear them as pajamas.
Oh jeeze L, I thought we had cleaned things up
I'd use it to clean my windows Cos:)

Hello to my fellow babblers! How is everyone doing today?
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! Hooray!!
Jes, i went on the shelter site that i got my cat from about 4 years ago and i saw a lovely 2 year old Tortoiseshell cat and she looked so much like mine and i really want to get her, but she's really shy and my husband is not happy about me thinking about getting another one
Hi Min
:o ty all
personality is definitely more important than looks in choosing a critter.
Saying that, he didn't want me getting our cat now and he loves her to bits as she sits on him all the time when he his home
Our cat now was shy...but has come out of her shell, but at the end of the day, i have to think of my cat...i think i will leave it for a few months and then look
It wasn't that she looked like mine, but she was beautiful and looked like she needed love and hugs
Beautiful isn't the right word....all cats to me are and i want to adopt them all...i need to foster cats
Shutting up now!!
any clues needed before I head out?
6o of them:)
lol....I was talking to daughter...just looked at chat

Hi Lil!

cos - y/w.
I also agree with lilli - I think you all look lovely.
I hope you all had a great time Min, i'm sure you all did..i would love to meet up with our babblers here but especially the ones over the pond
Hi Liz :)
My lifelong dream finally came true, to attend a B meetup
I thought you said hi before, lilli!!!
I'm happy that you were able to do it, Min.
Women are terrible for putting themselves down looks or figurewise. I saw a short film about that once where women were asked to described themselves and then others were asked to describe them. The descriptions were all given to an artist (police one, I think) who then drew them. It was very revealing. I'll find the link, if I can.
Actually, 1 week ago at th 4/5 time, was playing Scrabble in New Jersey at the meetup. Welki and I won the game.
I think what you've said is true. I saw something on a TV show, where women had to go and stand near a person that they thought was a similar size to them - there were a group of people of all sizes chosen.
Actually, welki won it. I was just lucky to be her partner.
It was an FBI artist. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=\nXpaOjMXyJGk
WTG Min
Scrabble at a Babble meet - well, what else would you play? LOL
Charades?
Twister:)
I was going to bring cards, but in my excitement I forgot
Here's the short link:
http://tinyurl.com/coezz7z
Twister? You must be kidding, lilliann! We'd flood the casualty department. lol
Charades would be fun, ruru.
------ great at charades
no, because we would just lie down on the floor in our comfy positions with a leg crossed here and an arm there:)
But, lil - that's not how you play Twister. lol
I think I can only play twister in bed these days
fireworks
Good film, Jac - interesting.
Congrats, Cos :)
I know, but i'm getting old plus i have to do everything sitting or lying down now...i need to make a wheelchair twister:)
ruru - Just noticed you icon. It's from MAD magazine. Me and my cousins used to love that and we used to do shows on family holidays based on that mag.
Lol Ru...fun though:)
Wtg Cos!! :D
:D
Liz - well, the film does show that how we perceive ourselves, for whatever reason, it is not always how others see us.
That's true - we're very critical of ourselves. I hate being photographed!
Me, too, Lizlin.
Congratulations cosdem on your fireworks! Hooray for U
ruru - Your icon has brought back happy childhood memories of the shows me and my cousins used to put on for our parent during summer holidays in Wales. I remember one in particular - we were doing the 'before and after using youth-restoring soap' ad from MAD mag. I was the star of that and stood in front of a mirror making one side of my face smooth and the other wrinkly and then going to hid in a wardrobe until my cousins set up the ad and I had to burst out to illustrate it. My uncle laughed so much he nearly choked... and then kept waking my auntie up all that night giggling about it. When I went to visit him in his final days of life many years later in a hospice, one of the last things he said to me was how much he had loved that moment, and he laughed all over again.
Well done on the *~*~*~*. cos!
What a great memory :)
BTW - me and my cousins put on shows for our parentS. Excuse the typing error. lol
Lizlin - Yes, it is a lovely memory.
Fireworks!
*~*~*~*, well done Lizlin.
Time for lunch - sleep well all of you and congrats in advance to you all :)
I finished hours ago. Just came back to chat and clue.
Congratulations Lizlin on your fireworks! Hooray for you
Goodbye Lizlin! I will see you tomorrow in the log maybe.
Does anyone need a clue?
ru, just watched Nadal take down Hewitt in 1 hr, 9 min.!
444-word grid was fun the other day, but it still doesn't beat the 744 one we had.
Une - is that tennis talk?
yep :-)
Thought so. LOL
No clues needed then?
too many missing words to even begin asking for clues LOL!
as9 is the weirdest word. Most of the rest are 'normal' words.
I still need 50 Jac
I still need 6 X7 words
al7/32 =al5.12 + 2 vowels at end.
as7.36 - and the clouds were split as7 by th7/40 and a flash of lightning.
i already have that one..i've listed now so hang on a min and i will tell you what i need :)
Okay.
ty for the th7
:)
mo6/7 last one please
mo7/36 = plural of those trendy things.
mo6/24 = not old-fashioned.
i have that one it is the last one mo7/40
mo6/27 - mo6/27 Crue (rock group) mo7/40 is the plural.
sh7s, i don't have either please
ty Jac:)
sh 7/36 word is one who sh 4/6s lilliann. Only one I have.
sh7/40 - she was sh7/40d by everyone because they didn't like her. sh7/36 is the one doing the ignoring.
ty again jac
sq7/44 = made a cube.
Ty MIn
i have the sq's but thanks anyway
i need the ti7, i don't have the 6 yet
th8/65 - after the lightning, the weather became th7/40 + sometimes vowel.
yw
During the storm - the trees hit by lightning went up like ti6.21. They were ti6/21 + sometimes vowel.
ti6/21 = fire kindling.
i got them ty:)
Good!
How are you and your other half Jac?
The number of trees set on fire by the storm went un7/36 by the local press because their reporter was too lazy to go and check the area.
I have all the 7's now, ty
So, nothing was said about it and it went un7/36/
What do you need now, Lil?
40 more but they are 4's,5's and 6's
How have you been Jac, long time no see and how is you other half?
Lil - did you ever snog anyone down the back al5/14? Al6.24 is the plural of those narrow ginnels.
i have that one thanks...we call them the cut here
Lil - I've managed to break a toe and some bones in my right foot, and my Other Half - it'd be easier to tell you via private message on FB. Remind me of your name on there again, please.
we're gan up the cut
Now up the cut to us in Brum was going by the canal. Different from up there in Geordieland.
i hardly go on fb much now
Well, I'd like to get in touch again, Lil, so send me a PM there and we'll exchange email addys.
I'll put one of my email adds on my profile for a minute
ok
it's up
Got it.
got rid of it now
Now, back to Bable business - what more clues can I give?
Or even back to Babble business. lol
Sorry to hear about you toe and foot and i hope you are better now
Well, still healing.
I hope it doesn't hurt too much
Have you got di6/55 - the word for the lovely garden flower, the pink?
It only hurts if I bend it the wrong way. So I try not to do that too often.
an6 please...i don't normally ask for many clues but i started this grid gone 9pm and watching telly and chatting as normal :)
an6.18 - the growth on top of a stag's head.
I have problems with my right ankle where i fell badly last year but i didn't go to the hospital...i still have trouble sleeping with it
omg...ty
LOL - it's always the 'should be obvious words' we miss, isn't it? :)
i have the di8
hello friends. May I have a clue for the as 7 please?
un 7/36 any hints?
I didn't take my latest break to hospital either, Lil. Waste half a day to be told you've broken this and this. It'll take 8 weeks to heal and take paain killers as and when you need them. I know how to strap up toes if needs be, not possible in this case. It's stopped feeling 'crunchy' now.
Hi Bugs and Maggie...i'll leave it to Jac's as she's a better cluer:0
Jac perhaps you should have gone for an Xray if it was crunchy! They have strap on casts now.
Bug - as7 = something split in two, perhaps by the noisy part of a lightning storm (which rhymes with it).
Hello Bugsaw! How are you doing?Welcome to the chat log
if it heals badly, you may have a hard time getting shoes to fit and lots of ladies like their shoes!
Bug - re my foot. Probably should have.
hello Minveryork. Which one are you in Dorens picture? I looked earlier and could only recognize jmc
ah thanks for the clue Jac. Sounds biblical
maggiej - un7.36 = unreported.
tyvm Jac
y/w, maggiej.
y/w also, Bugsaw.
Jac, is the di6 like the carnation flower?
I'm here for about another 20 mins and then I must go. So, if you need a clue ASK NOW!
I am the little Asian girl in the front.jmcnrick was nice enough to crop picture so you can't see my bent knees.
Lil - yes the di6 is like a carnation flower.
i've gone babble blind...
di8/55 - popular UK princess with missing end + **** spoke Zarathustra.
I don't care if you're little...me too but i still say that you are a beautiful woman Min
Lill - is that like Black Sabb's 'Snowblind'? Yes, you need a break and to come back with fresh eyes.
Nothing wrong with being little, Min! I'm only little, too.
no, i need to go to sleep but i'm finishing this grid first
Okay, lil. Ask for more clues then...
I can't find the di6, and i plant the bloody things...
excuse French
I knew the di8
I didn't get the end of your clue Jac, sorry
di6 = the meal working class people have in the middle of the day and posh people have at night.
Actually, I am not so little.Got weighed at the doctor the other day and I did not like what I saw, very surprised!
di8 = di** (popular UK princess minus last letter) + t4/6.
OMG!!! ty Jac
Lil - you must stop calling on G - he has enough prayers to answer. LOL
How did i miss that one!!
Perhaps you weren't hungry, Lil? :)
Aye, i wish he'd answer mine...saying that i prayed once and that was when the bairn got knocked over
not at this time of night..:)
Min -don't worry about the weight thing - you lokk fine! xx
Well, looking at that picture Min, i'd say you are
Anyway, back to what clues are needed...
Not being nasty but I need to go to bed very soon.
You go jac, i'll just plod on, but thanks very much for your help
Got to be up and about for a carvey lunch by 12.
Ooh, lovely, i could just eat roast lamb with mint sauce and a huge yorkshire
with loads of veg
I'll email you Monday probably, Lil, to get in touch again properly.
In the meantime, I'd better get some sleep if I'm to eat a roast dinner for breakfast.
Ok. Look forward to it.Enjoy your carvery:)
Got to get myself psyched up for eating that kind of meal before 8pm!
:) i must admit i like my roast about 5ish
