removing them with some kind of drill and then putting in new joints. It is driving me up the walls.

rose, you are incredibly strong. This isn't about that. This is about the stark reality of life. One can't heal properly when going through the madness of two deaths and aftermaths. And our bodies can only handle so much stress... give them more and things start happening with hormones and nerve reactions and you cannot WILL that into good behaviour.

Back again! Getting a bit concerned, too. My neighbour has a bees nest in his garden and I'm getting worried they're gonna start causing us a problem. We both live in social housing and the housing authority says they don't deal with the problem. He's been quoted, privated, over £200 to have it dealt with privately which he can't afford, and I don't know much about bees nests but as we have a dog I'm really worried he's going to get stung when he goes in the garden
worzel, if it's any consolation. my friend's dog eats european wasps for breakfast, with no ill effects.
surely, an apiarist would remove the colony for a lower fee.

Trouble is they've taken to nesting in an old birdbox on his wall. He says he has another nest around the other side of his house, but I suspect it's the same nest that is extending through his roof as he says they are in his house too. The apiarist is the one that quoted him £200 as they are not honey bees. Some european wasps are quite harmless, I know, but the bees, as I say, are only showing around 20 or so at a time floating around the nest and I believe there are probably thousands in the nest. I'm just hoping they don't decide to move over to our garden. I'm doing some research online as we speak . . .

as my father -in-laws driving skills deteriorated, he used to drift all over the road, crossing the centre line again and again and his speed going up and down at random

i disable the airbag on the wife's side of the jeep for the exact same reason
Better a fractured sternum than what the steering wheel could do.

things have really changed over the years. Take my seminoma, for example. In 1970, it had a 90% mortality rate at stage 3 and above. When i got it 7 years ago, it had a 90% cure rate at my stage

My mother has had breast cancer twice and lung cancer. She's 90

I really think that our country has to value education more and make sure that everyone can afford to attend good schools

Here is the NIU weather guy's prediction for Friday: Friday...cloudy, unseasonably cool and pathetic with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. Low in the upper 30s. High in the middle or upper 40s.
I'm not sure I've seen "pathetic" used in a forecast very often :-)
I love it! I also mis-read the word "Unseasonably" as unreasonably"; so I was kind of taken aback by that! :-)
