Talking of gardening Di's getting so upset. We both planted various things between us - veggies - and mine are the better of the stock. Sprite we have some extremely odd slang words in this country. Mind you, slang in itself isn't really the word I would use - they're more like abbreviations. For proper slang you really need to look at the cockney language of London x

Yes. Having lived in London for a few years you also notice that the slang they use their is usually abbreviated itself. For example a "titfer" is a hat, and it derives from tit for tat. Someone described as wearing a whistle is wearing a suit - or whistle and flute. And so on, and so on . . .

It's about a four hour drive. It's a really nice drive. There is a waterfall in the middle of the city, with a gondola that goes over it. The river was really full (it's spring here) so we took the ride. I had never done that before.
