nice and easy today, how about you?
Very productive day, achy evening. We found flowers for the planting areas!
oh?? what did you get?
Had to have our breaks replaced grrrr.
achy hips, or achy all over, dear?
ugh, that can be expensive.
3 rose bushes to replace 3 that died this winter, a hydrangea plant, some multicolored wave petunias to hang off the deck, some gladiolux....
hips, knees, back... all over tonight. We went to 4 different flower places, so lower back started pain everywhere else. It is starting to settle down a bit now.
lovely, dee.you'll have to take pics and send them to me.i've lost 2 roses this summer. i was able to get out and water them much, and don never thought of it either.
a spidery purple flower that I can't remember the name
I hope hubby remembers to water these. He isn't a great gardener, but I love roses. We'll try them one more time :)
a cleome?
hmmm, that sounds right
good morning all
It has been strange buying plants here. The old house had so much shade, we bought begonias, impatiens, etc. Here we have all sun, so we have to learn everything new.
Hi sprite!
my next gardening project is to set up a watering system for the garden beds. i have one for the window baskets, and the bed along side of the house.
hello Dee
Hope you are doing well, sprite.
morning{{sprite}}
That would be a life saver.
*hugs rose* Good morning darling. How are you today?
am fine, Dee. Hope the same for you and yours.
*giggle* for the plants, anyway.
Sounds like you like the call of the wild GR
ty, sprite, we are just thrilled we are finally having some spring / summer weather! I love the sunshine!
lol, rose
not bad today, sprite. have taken it very easy. went for lunch with a friend. first time since the surgery. it felt great.
how liberating, rose :) I hope you had a good time.
lol, ruru, i'm just another flower child....in disguise.
bet it was liberating
are you really fine, sprite? was it another warm day yesterday?
If you sleep in a manger..we will know you have lost it
and who are you calling a dog in a manger? huh? huh?
yes but today seems a bit cooler. And yeah, am fine. Must shop and cook dinner today, that is a bit of a battle. But otherwise all is well.
hopefully being a little cooler will help you, sprite. just take it in easy stages, pace yourself...hmmm, where have i heard that before?
guess you are picking up vibes from my night, grin. I had horrible dreams again. Serial killers, for starters.
yes will pace myself. Am gonna do it in stages. First thing will be the shopping, gonna do that this morning. And rest between.
oooh, not fun. I hate nightmares. Hope your day and cooking go really well, sprite. Well, I am off to my pillow! Have a great eve / day all! *poofing with hugs*
night Dee
good plan. go out while you feel the freshest, and able to deal with it.
night, dee. hope you sleep well, sweetie
rose, my new babble dictionary word for today: per + ma6/24, someone who is raving mad forever.
hmmmm...lolol....someone we know?
*grin* could be, could be...
*equally evil grin*
lol am still laughing... someone from my eating disorder group is organizing a lady's party with naughty toys. And I am invited. Emailed her to get her address... ages ago. No answer. Emailed again, no answer. Posted on her facebook, got a lovely long email in reply... and she forgot to give me her address again :)
oh, for goodness sake....how silly
she has ADHD and has trouble focussing on one thing for long, lol. It is endearing.
it would be, sprite. and because of you being who you are, you understand her quite well. a lot of others would quietly slip aw4, and forget about a friend like that.
she is a lovely person. I don't mind her quirks, I have mine, lol. A bit of a sense of humour is all it takes to enjoy eachother's peculiarities, right?
right! like our group he4 does.
exactly. Imagine everybody being just like you... or me... *shudders* How perfectly boring that would be.
hey, speak for yourself....lolol....i am not boring....besides it would be like watching a pin-ball machine. all of us bouncing of each other.
hahahaha no slight intended... I just meant that diversity is so much nicer than uniformity.
no offence taken....so agree, that's what makes this site so different. tolerance from most players for others.
indeed! A good place, our babble.
oh I see Kent Clark could make it today :)
yeah, and his twin brother, there are 2 of them.
must be his evil twin, lolol
lovely words today!
pereon
lol yes, that one too, hi Dianne :)
almost dianne, and hello
that one is valid too, rose :)
i meant almost pe7
true
I found a wi4, water sprites, Kent(s), a fish (or sea mammal, not sure), a brooch, a fan... and many more goodies too.
Rob's favorite means of transportation as well!
Hi all - sorry about that oops.
no problem, Dianne, nice to see you
I wondered why it didn't show up on my word list and now I know :)
hahahaha
I miss our pugs. I hope she is soundly asleep.
she was probably very tired. did she work 2 days in a row?
I thought so, yes. And her back was giving her a hard time.
hmmm, do i need to send her some magnesium, do you think?
oh, great idea!
what kind of Job did she get?
okay, will do, but we will have to make sure she takes it.
she was hired by the factory where she used to work something like 12 years back.
yes, we will, rose
Well if it is assembly line work she will certainly be tired.
not sure what kind of work it is. But could very well be that.
fireflies. Very nice words in this grid.
WTG SPRITE!!!
My mom worked on an assembly line for many years. The first couple were standing the entire day p she was bone tired when she got home.
yes, standing is hell on backs and energy
*hugs* to you all, and may you have a blessed day and a peaceful night.
Enjoy the shopping sprite.
thanx my darling. enjoy your day....remember slowly does it. okay? xoxox
good morning. Bright sushine but cold again
good morning my dearest ruby.{{hugs }}
Hi ruby - hope all is well.
the terrible storm that was predicted never happened and we had plenty of rain but I think the peonies are totally collapsed . I should have picked the when I had the chance
oh, ruby, what a shame, hun.
they looked so lovely in the ggarden before the rain, that I was reluctant to cut them
Oh just had raw veggies with Hellman's Honey & Mustard salsd dressing as a dip - yummy.
*salad
hiiii ev eryone!
Hi nenia - are you new to Babble or just to me?
both!
Hi! <3
Welcome to the game.
hey ya nenia
Hi all :)
hello :)
and thanks, dianne
Hi Liz - hope all is good with you.
me 5/14 made me giggle naughtily
g'day liz. have you had a good day, hun?
looking for the naughty e.....
Ah! The French word!
yesss
hohoho
Yes thanks - beach walk, gym etc. and you? How are you today?
*toe tapping* waiting ruby...
when they do subtitles for English-language movies, they substitute me for most other bad words
went outwith friend for lunch. first time since surgery. it was great.
oh wow, that's interesting
all we need are canes and straw hats, rosie, then we could have a whole act! I meant "m" which I found
Spanish is like that too I think
Sounds great. What sort of place was it?
a little local cafe, where the owner is the cook. she makes the most amazing breads, pastries, and cakes. soups, the whole menu.
Yum! I'm really glad for you
*giggle* ruby....love it.
Is pugs OK?
the only problem you have there, is choosing what to eat. and her coffee is to die for.
Perhaps when I get to Melbourne ....,
we were speculating earlier. we think she may still be asleep.
I hope pugs is havig some decent slee for a change. I'll bet she's exhausted after her job
Hi xx
That'd be good for her. After all it's the middle of the night!
or even sleep*
Hi worz
hi worzel
morning, dear worzel. are you better today?
Emir
Hi Mum - I'm getting there, thanx xx
hello worzel
Sorry!
ruby - you can never get enough decent slee these days.
she's usually on at this tie so that's as good sig
I spoke to pugs about 13 hours ago on here and she'd just got in from work and was knackered lol so hopefully she's still asleep x
or good sig.....
how are you today mum? and Dad's sinuses? x
*poking ruby in the ribs*
I take Xanax before bed and, if uninterreupted (unlikely), get 8 dream-filled hours. Thhe other night I dreamed bout Tom Selleck!
I know - a good sig is also hard to find.
dad appears good today, and i have had a slow day. so all good. that is so nice to be able to say that.
((hugs)) for Mum and Dad
Stupid he 7. Surely there should be an s in the middle.
ooh, just found an 8 by myself
Tom Selleck is a good dream topic.
good job!
agree, liz. i couldn't believe it when it went in.
they keep running endless episode of Blue Bloods and it's ofte the last thing I watch before I sleep
Also think sp 8 is stupid!
We got that show out here last year and I really got into it.
they run 6 episodes a night from various seasons
Fr TV is sort of random for foreign shows
waiting for liz to find the su8 x 3.
I have one of them.
We get a lot of English language tv here becasue of the cable channels.
yay, got all 3 su8's. ty rosie
nice, ruby, you rock, girl
Have them! Thanks.
we have to use a satellite and find English-language programs with Fr subtitles since husband can't hear and won't wear his "appareils"
wow! you rock, too, liz...lolol
I'd missed the 2 Clark Kent ones!
LOL @ Liz
my thoughts exactly
So what am I missing?
you missed clark kent???? christopher reeve? you missed christopher reeve?
One of the USA Great Lakes
same su beginning, but dif ending
For the 8s that is.
poor Christopher Reeve
do you have de8?
I agree? I have 3 x su and sp 8.
No. That's the one.
or describing this group's intellect!
hahaha, ruby
I don't have the sp8, so mine must fall at the bottom of the curve. lol
what does it say about my ego that that clue made me get it, ruby? ;)
a misde8 is a fineable offence.
ruby, sp8, more like the globe
Keep trying that. Must be spelling it wrong!
thanks, rose!
are you spelling it the british way?
take out the u! :D
US spelling of course! Still trips me up!
<3
Thanks be is. I got it just as you entered that.
no idea and now Mr. Personality wasn't me to wlask the dogs with him. See you later, kids
*nenia. iPad autocorrect!

Sleep well
bye nenia, nice to see you again, dear
Did everyone leave?
Hi Dianne I'm still here, just not feeling too good so staying a bit quiet x
What's the matter?
Nothing serious just a bit of a virus I think. Had a thumping headache for a couple days, achey arms and legs, bit of a funny tummy so I'm just resting up a bit. Should be back to normal in no time x
out of breath. Just picked a big bouquet of peonies (slightly collapsed from the rain) and roses. So beautiful! I pute them in the breakfast room and they are spectacular
Just over 1/2 way and opened lickety and the first one is an ac7 lmao - does anyone have a clue please? xx
Well worz - rest yourself and get better.
this garden is big enough to have flowers for cutting as well as flowers to leave for their beautfy. I am very lucky!!@!
Morning Ruby hun xx
Ty dianne I shall xx
I have lots of hydrangeas (not yet) which are around the side of the house so they are just for cutting and giving away.
You are lucky ruby. Flowers in the breakfast room and outside as well - nice.
In the living room, I have a kalenchoe which is from last year but is blooming again.
It's my first garden, so the spring thrills me every year as it matures and changes
does anyone have a clue for the ac7 please? x
nm got it x
lue, pls, worzel?
Haven't looked at the A;s yet. Working my way upfor the bottom and am now on the M's
c'mon, worzel, share!

sorry mum pmsl
Mary had a little lamb, her father shot it dead, she's still got the little lamb . . . between two bits of bread!
*giggle* yeah, that one's got whiskers...sorry mate
whiskers? does that mean poor taste? if so I do apologise x
Ahh Di reckons whiskers means its an old joke!
nah, it means it's so old it's got whiskers, like an old man.
or an old woman . . .
(my ex-wife) . . .
yeah.....old woman is good too
Best not tell you the rhyme about my friend Billy then!!!
awww go on, mate
lol Di's sat next to me playing and said "Are you the only two talking?" I mean, it's not like she couldn't come in and say hello herself . . . (ducks for cover!!)
i was about to, but i saw he was misbehaving and i was mortally embarrassed lol
i never misbehave . . .
hi mam in law, how're you
lol, frogface, np's. he wouldn't be worzel then, would he?
true
had a good day thanx, hun. and you? have you had a god night?
ok, here goes - but it's a watered down version "My friend Billy had a 10 foot ***** and he showed it to the woman next door, she thought it was a snake so she hit it with a rake and now it's only 2 foot four"
not bad, worzel and the dog steal all the covers so it was a bit cold
*hint* place cold feet in middle of worzel's back...lol
lol, good tip, thanks
as long as it's only my back they touch i don't mind!
or, you could put equally cold hands where ever you like.
round his neck???
Charming! I get the feeling I'm being picked on *giggles and loves it*
is that what you call it over there, frogface?
lmao she's gone all red!!!
and - for the first time - she's speechless!
(ducks)
got a fit of the giggles
roflol, just watched an episode of AbFab, pasty sneezes and gets this funny look on her face. eddie says which end of you sneezed? and patsy says....both...oh, glory, i know that feeling well.
omg she can't type now, she's literally peeing herself!
poor frogface, i'm sorry dear. your mam-in-law has a very wicked sense of humour. dad never knows what is going to come out of my mouth.
anyways I'm away to the kitchen to ruin my diet and get some bacon butties I'll see u in a bit xx
you girls BEHAVE!!!!!
or go in ???
uh, worzel, don't touch it!!
he's gonna become a pig eventually, he eats so much
oh, let him, frogface....he'll work it off in bed...
comes to something when worzy tells someone to behave, we must really be bad
oh, yeah.....that word not in my dictionary...*giggle*
never heard it before, i'm a good girl
so, what are your plans for the day, frogface?
as little as possible, just a bit of pottering round the house, nothing exciting unfortunately
are you into gardening like worzel?
not as much, i do the inside of the house, decorating, i do help him a bit tho
yeah. just after dad and i were married, he was outside, trying to get the better of a clump of blackberries. i, naturally, grabbed my gloves and secateurs, and went out to help him. when dad saw me, his jaw dropped, and he said what are you doing? i said i'm helping you......his ex next did anything with him at all. i think it's good for couples to do stuff together.
it is, especially when you see the finished result and you can think....we did that.
re4 *never*
there's some stuff he wouldn't touch with a 40' barge pole...like the ironing, and writing a shopping list.
worzy isn't too bad, when he first moved in he used to do all the ironing, but somehow that has become my job, lol, but he will do most other stuff
he's not a bad lad
and there's stuff i won't touch, like changing the oil in the motorbike....i predict i would probably suffer something unspeakable if i tried it.
i'll try anything once, i figure it's worth a go
was funny when we tried to fix the mower, was dumb and dumber, but we did it in the end
yay, you both. anything mechanical, i leave to him. and anything to do with the computer...it's so sad. he has the degree in computer stuff, and i , i want to die computer illiterate.
you seem pretty computer savvy, i'm the same tho, the computer confuses me
not as savvy as himself, or two of my bro's.
it's the best way to be, computers are always going to be here now, they are the future i suppose, even if i do want to go back to pen and paper sometimes
i still do at times, frogface. the art of communication is being lost.
it is, i've got a few letter worzy sent me, and i keep them, it's kinda romantic, texts and emails........not so much
Hello all. Don't have much time, How is work going, Rose?
hi zoo
hey ya zooz. much better. doing one hour shifts, and starting later, no peak hour traffic. and you, mate?
Good to hear, Rose, Hope it continues to get better for you. You deserve it :-)
thanx mate. why the hurry?
I am Ok just organising the funeral of my brother who passed away on Sunday..We are all in upset which is understandable.
oh, no, zooz. i am so sorry for the gap in your life. my heartfelt sympathies, mate. {{hugs}}
My mother is on the verge of a nervous break down very hard to watch and try and comfort.
it would be, mate. have you had a doctor to her?
But we are slowly getting there..funeral is on the 2nd june.
Thanks, Rose, yes he has prescribed some valium type pills but they are not much help for grief..but having family and friends around is helping.
that's a while. keep her accompanied at all times, so she can talk as much as she needs to do.
OK just wanted to know how you were getting on, Rose, Take care and hope to speak to you soon *hugs*...bye for now.
love, mate. my prayers are with you all.
*poof*
so very sorry about your brother, zooz
i'll shuffle off now, find something constructive to do, have a good night mum, see you tomorrow xx
tomorrow, frogface. give worzel a hug for me, dear.
i need my bed. xoxox. enjoy the grid everyone.
good morning everyone:)
Morning Cross
howdy, worzel:)
How's Canada this morning? And your good self?
Things are fine here in the great, white, north. Spring has sprung and the Mrs, the master and i are all fine.
and how are you this fine day?
Good, good! The UK is a little overcast, dull and boring - as seems the norm for our early summers nowadays. However, I and my good lady are good - well, I have a small viral thing going on, but I can cope and won't let it "bug" me
Lots of "goods" there - I do apologise
and it is now time for Crossy's tidbit of the day!! tonight make sure you catch the Camelopardalid meteor shower. Best viewing times will be tween the hours of 2 a.m eastern time and 5 a.m eastern time. Supposed to be quite a show
i am sorry, worzel, you will not get so see it:((
though nasa will have a live feed of it on their web site
starting at 11 pm est till 3 am est
I shall keep an eye out. I do like the night sky. Was somewhat of an amateur astronomer in my fallow days but alas I let it slip but I still enjoy the spectra and myriad of things that continue to amaze us from the world above!
It is to be a brand new shower for us all to see
I must disappear for a moment, hopefully will speak again soon! *mini-poof*
Good morning and hello everyone
Hey Car
hello, all
Hi TO
TO, any dance festivities lined up for the holiday weekend?
hi, car. no , molly, just yard work and concert. next weekend is nj crawfish festival. will pale by comparison, though.
Mmm, I love seafood festivals.
i did not have boiled crawfish in LA. they just look nasty, heads on and all
They are very passionate about their crawfish down there. I'll take a Maryland blue crab over crawfish any day.
i only saw fried at the event itself. did not see them at the restaurants. next weekend will be mostly about music and dance.
i love crab. cannot wait to get to annapolis for some. perhaps in two weeks.
We will be heading to the shoreline in Maryland this summer......CRAB FEST!!!!!
yay! ocean city?
no....trying to remember name....
Down by Rehoboth, I think
Bethany?
<----still on first couple of sips of coffee
Nope, not Bethany...nearby though
good morning all!!
fun! oh my, time is slipping sway and i must catch the 9:01 train. happy babbling, all!
Hello Peri
Fenwick Island?
no
Bye TO
help with bottom O pls
O + what you do to a book and plural
ty car
and you are in the grid again today
and the A under the C for nbt pls
oh, I did not see me :)
still working on that one myself
I have not been in the grid in a while
Oh! I thought you were yesterday. Again, still getting coffee in.
You all have beautiful beaches up there, what brings you all the way down to Maryland?
Family vaca....dad is renting a beach house for a month
We had done it many years ago, so it will be so much fun to go back with the kids
Dewey, maybe?
Yep Dewey, that is in Delaware though, very close to Maryland. Nice beach town.
That's it then!
Morning, everyone. Typing very slowly today. Took a fall yesterday and both my arms are really painful. Can barely move either. Don't think I broke a bone but may have splintered one or two. My right elbow and forearm can barely be moved. Not sure how I'm going to do anything like this and hoping it will heal soon.
{{MimiCat}}
sorry to hear about your fall, Mimicat
Sorry to hear that Mimi, hope you heal up quickly.
Ummm...can you go for an x-ray?
Yeah, splintered bones are nothing to fool around with.
bbl
I don't think I need one but if this doesn't get better in a couple of days I may just to be sure. You should have seen me trying to get a can of cat food out of the cupboard this morning. Really a challenge since it's very painful raising either of my arms higher than mid chest level. I'm going to have my neighbor come and move several cans down to the counter.
Mimi...I would go today.
It's a long weekend coming up and if you run into trouble you will be stuck in an ER for hours.
I agree with Car
the water nymph is in the grid today...FYI\
AC 7/40 comes from that A, Peri
I'm doing warm compresses and taking Aleve. I think it's mostly muscle/inflammation issue. I'll see how it goes. I don't actually have a doctor other than my cardiologist but there's an urgent care just across the street a bit. Will see how it goes. Thanks for the concern.
I mean AC 6/27...sorrrrry!
Please take care of yourself.
No more vodka for breakfast for you, young lady : D
The real problem is that there's no way I can work like this. But I'll have 4 days to get it done so might improve enough by Sunday. I'm lucky to be able to do it that way.
LOL
Actually, since I can't do much, vodka for breakfast may just be a great idea! I fell because one of my cats raced in front of me as I was going into kitchen.
<clink>
Screwdrivers and bloody marys for all
The emergency room will refer to that as "woman vs cat"
Cat won
Was just going to say that, car! All three look worried and stay huddled around me...it's very touching.
Of course....keep your enemies closer....
OK...this is getting too painful. Another warm compress session and vodka (for medicinal purposes of course) coming up! Of course, not even sure I can lift the bottle......man, this sucks!
Seriously Mimi....no vodka...urgent care. It could affect how they treat you, so go there first.
Thanks, car. I have no way to get there until tomorrow anyway. I think I just need to be determined to rest and that's the most difficult thing for me. This is the only thing that benefits from extra body fat....I mostly bounce!
Just came in to turn my computer off - leaving 56 til tomorrow, and saw about your fall, Mimi. Hugs. Get a taxi to the medical centre or something. Call a neighbour. Don't leave it - you might cause all sorts of problems. Having said my bit, I'll now head to bed. Hugs :)
((Liz))
The problem is, bone injury after "a certain age" needs to be treated immediately, not days later.
Mimi I wish I was there to take you myself.
OK...must take Mom to her day program. Back in a bit.
I just cut open the holiday weekend watermelon. Wow is it good. Wish it were injected with vodka but, those pesky kids, you know?
Hiyas, kiddoes! *doing happy three-day weekend dance*
*Passes Judi some watermelon*
Judi, Car and her clan are headed down your way this summer, Dewey.
*snarf snarf* Goes well with the diet shake I'm drinking now. Bleh.
Dewey! Party town. Not our kind of place. But, there are some very nice rental homes down there.
Yes, I don't remember much of the last weekend I spent in Dewey. : D
Mimi - read about your fall. Try some ice packs instead of the heat. Better for swelling injuries. If your arms swell up real bad, get to that urgent care.
Yeah, I thought it was ice for the first 24, then heat.
I am guessing the ice will jave dual uses
.have
Speaking of party town, how is New York?
Don't know yet..sleeping in a bit landed at midnight
My friend from the LA area gets terrible jet lag when she comes out here.
I left with a cold so i am taking it easy today
Good plan
My first cold in over 10 years
Crappy luck that you got it when you had to fly
Yep
I have a nice hotel room..it is pretty quiet.31st floor
Name that proper noun: type of aged tequilla.
Anejo
Ding! Ding! Ding!
I hear that quiet in New York is a rare commodity
Don't you just love the sounds of sirens in the evening? And the night? And at all other hours of the day?
I'm very suburban. Big cities make me tense. I like some space, some trees and not a lot of noise.
Me too, Molls. I need my elbow and ear room.
And being from the DC area, where DC is my go to city, cities with tall buildings freak me out. We don't have them here.
Cities annoy me. I don't even like going into Wilmington. I liked Toronto. That was a beautiful city. And Montreal.
hi all - and goodness, what's happened to morewords, the ads have taken over! :(
Do you use an ad blocker for your browser? And if you are in Internet Explorer, forget it. That thing breeds ads.

Judi, you start at All About Grapes 101
You have to "study" a lot like me judi
Actually, I'd much rather move to a warm climate and start an agave crop.
lots of tasting and comparing.
Of course, there is collecting empties in a shopping cart, but that doesn't pay many bills.
my favorite cactus.
Are your taste buds insured?
None of my organs are insured
Oh my God, what a pick up line...My tongue is insured...ahahahaha!
ahem!
Oh sorry, forgot the prim and proper rules.
;)
I was thinking kidneys hego ...
I'll be prim, but there's no way in hell I'm being proper.
of course Ru
hi all, what's this about pickup lines? lol
I love Judi...
Hi Gwen
Can't say anymore, I have been censored : X
no way Molly
It was a very funny entry
the "ahem" was for Ru's organs.
i was in a bar once. closest i've been to seeing real pickup lines in the wild lol
Gwen has led a sheltered life.
I think pick-up lines only exist on the Jersey Shore.
No they exist all over Judi.
My new pick up line is gonna be.. i vacuum and cook..
Fascinating. I've never experienced them myself.
My husband once left for a moment at Trevi fountain to look in a store window and a handsome Itlian tried to pick me up.
Those wedding rings usualy throw ghem off judi
That was about 30 years ago.lol
swooning over ruru's pick up line.
Great pickup line Ru.
sheltered and boring, but i still have most of my original brains LOL
Ha ha, ru. I meant pre-wedding ring.
Honestly, all a guy has to say is, "Yeah, I'm a millionaire."
lol, really Judi
Or, "Yes, I own that 80 foot yacht."
In san francisco all you have to say is i am straight
to the right person, of course.
Millionaire smillionare. Everyone is a millionaire

Really?? Can you introduce me to some of them?

Well, one boss left for the day. Slack ass.
nevermind, I can't clue. Oh my poor brain.
I have very evil thoughts about bosses who leave early on holiday weekends and do not dismiss the rest of the crew.
Not a thing wrong with your brain mael.
thanks Molly. She is magical about that. She doesn't know what her hands are but she knows about sit down meals
Selfish prick.
plain mean Molly
or what Judi said.
lolol
jui's got it
judi
Sorry. That was neither prim nor proper.
but accurate :)
not by a long shot!
but succinct!
That's okay Judi, prim and proper is pretty boring.
very dull
That's for damn sure.
brb
Oh well, the one boss has two girlfriends now. He just broke up with his girlfriend who he'd been with for 9 years. She caught him cheating and threw his ass out.
Days Of Our Workplace Lives
Consequently, he needs twice as much time to work on his relationships.
Nice he manages to squeeze in a little work time in between
PFFFTH.
mael huh?
what, no points for spermier?
sorry was afk
On days like this, all of my management crew disappears to the golf course after lunch.
How nice of them Molly
I used to work for lawyers. One of them actually said to me, "you'd be surprised how much work gets done on the golf course." I just nodded while the bullshit meter exploded.
mael?
sorry, ml, judi's clue was better
my boss plays online boggle all day (i'm self employed) LOL
I tried spermier too, gwen

bye gwen
i have 100 left
I swear, 2 days in a row I have had trouble finding the same very simple word.
I spell it out like it is a new word every time :)
Just had to put out an APB for an escaped Boston Terrier.
Um, isn't that an animal control thing? Why are police resources being wasted on that?
We're a small town. Our cops are all animal lovers. So, we try to help out whenever we can. I just put an e-mail out to the troops. I don't have stuff like that dispatched.
Now, skateboarders, on the other hand, we're supposed to shoot to kill.
Huzzah! Fireworks!
hello again all x
hello again all - such excitement here daughters have purchased tickets for their daughters to see One Direction in March next year - makes me think what we would have done if Elivs or The Beatles come to SA for concerts - hysteria would have been just the same :)
hi all
Cheers!!
*Elvis
ursh - at least the beatles and elvis had some talent!
Aaah Worzel - I quite like their music
well that's not fair, OD do have talent, but they won't have the longevity!
help with the A under the C pls
and they are awfully pretty
*Clink* Drinks on the beach, Peri (a revision of drinks on the boat from Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead)
Will one direction still be known in forty years. I think not. just pretty boys with a good publicist
I guess they do have a certain physical appeal, but then again Elvis was a hottie too and especially in the 1969 comeback special in all that black leather . . .
Hi, Mr Gummidge. All well with you and yours?
I remember when my girls were teens their Dad said Michael Jackson was a flash in the pan !!
Sadly, there is not a band out there that will be remembered in 40 years. That genre of music is dead. It died when "digital" came into the mix.
Greetings Jaxx all is fine and dandy here oop norf!! How's it going dahn safff?? x
My father used to call Rock and Roll jungle music
haha jaxx sounds familiar my Mom said it was just noise
I dont know, Molly. People said that vinyl wouldn't last when it replaced 78s, but look how that turned out
I have been a lady who lunches today. We went to Totnes and sat by the Dart. Lovely
I walked to the library - it was about as much as I could manage to be honest. Didn't even get any books!!
Digital music hasn't the nuance of vinyl, hence vinyl's comeback
That was a waste of time then, worzel
Here's to the ladies who lunch-- Everybody laugh. Lounging in their caftans And planning a brunch
I did not know vinyl has come back. I threw away lots of my Mom and Dad's old records when my Mom died. I still have some of mine in the garage here
The thing is one cannot transpose downloaded music to vinyl so digital will still remain king for many years to come - much to my chagrin!
Microsoft may be a marvellous company with marvellous technology, but thanks to the ipod they have killed vinyl single-handedly
I meant, of course, Apple!
Sell them, they are worth good money now. there was a news item on the return of vinyl. sales are up and some companies are producing new vinyl recordings
I wasn't referring to digital recording, I was referring to digital mix in "band" music.
I will look into that jaxx
I'm shooting off to the kitchen now to feed my doggie and myself and my gf. I shall speak to you all soon xx have fun xx *minipoof*
There are still turntables and styli being produced as well. never say die!
xx xx
Worzel, are your priorities right there?
it wouldn't be so bad if today's new singers actually could sing instead of shouting over an exaggerated beat.
Grandson is dying of starvation, he tells me so I am off to minister to the hungry
There are still some very good musicians out there, making some very good music. Unfortunately, the sheeple buying the music have no appreciation for anything that is good, musically.
I have one 7 and one 8 and still need help with the A under the C pls
I have an sp7 but there is an sp8 which I do not see. I have su8
there are apparently 3 su8. I have Mother Su******
You still here Ursh? Cos One Direction are playing the first of three Dublin concerts this evening. The whole city is totally grid-locked with doting parents delivering their hyper pre-teen daughters. God help us!
which is an odd clue coming from a non-practicing jewish person

need a break, bbs
Hello Everyone
Oh, God bless all the parents who are breaking their bank accounts to ferry their children to One Direction concerts. *Goes to sit outside and pray for the world in general*
stupid question: what kind of music does One Direction play? Never heard of them
Pop
It's a boy band Ruby, and it's not really "music".
Thanks
67 left - I really do not like this grid for some reason.....just not having fun - I guess I will get back to work. Have a great day everyone
Well, 1D are acually a boy 'group'.....I can't stand the word 'band' being used to describe their likes 'cos their don't actually play any instruments....
One Direction is so overrated
I agree MLFAN!!!!!!
DE6 clue please?
If they cannot be bothered to learn to play instruments, they shouldn't be in the business in the first place
they seem like a fake band to me.. or trying to hard to be one
de+stingy MLFAN
i jst got de 6/27
just oops
stingy as in insect or as in rebellion?
stingy as in unwilling to be kind
oh got it
got the de8 ty
yw MLFAN
Weird how words are. I see "stingy" and I think of greedy, or unwilling to share.
Stingy, like a miser.
its the way the word looks since they are spelled the same
I think it's more of a UK/US difference in terms. I don't see the word stingy as having a sting meaning. We don't use it that way here.
i guess stingy in terms of an insect is a bit weird but i thought of both when i asked hence why i asked
it was probably a dumb thing to ask and i probably should have known
What is the rebellion meaning?
3 s words and a de what 8 am i missing?
greedy or doesnt want to do something molly
stin·gy /ˈstinjē/ adjective ad\njective: stingy; comparative adjective: stingier; superlative adjective: stingiest unwilling to give or spend; ungenerous

phantom: grok
um...okay
Interesting word
yes
what does it mean?
Grok means to understand so thoroughly that the observer becomes a part of the observed—to merge, blend, intermarry, lose identity in group experience. It means almost everything that we mean by religion, philosophy, and science—and it means as little to us (because of our Earthling assumptions) as color means to a blind man.
and how is it a phantom?
thanks Molly, never heard the term
mkg....aw 4.....common word...
It's kind of a bleak word.
Hi saanichcat!! Haven't seen you in too long. I just started and have 202 words looking me in the face. Grey skies and misty here in the great Northwest. Good indoor weather after a glorious day yesterday.
don't feellike grokking today...sigh..
Hi stid!!
sounds like your normal weather.
And it's not a phantom, in terms of the way people here define a phantom as an "almost word" (for lack of a letter or two)
hello hello stidgemere! Ditto on the weather here
Hi hego, not in a philosophical mood? Me neither I can do sunny or grey but this one day in and one day out seems to get me out of sink (How do you spell that?)
it's an eay grid stidgemere, fear not!
synch
I am tired of normal 10 months of grey, I need 10 months of sunny hego!!
sync
no never cared for philosophy much
Too pragmatic.
Thanks for the encouragement saanch and the spelling. Not in sync. But I am not in the sink, too so that could be good. I need to rescue our hamburgers.
Sending sunshile too stidgmere.
sunshine!!!
Thank you hego, I will think of you the next ray that comes my way.
rescuing hambugers, now there's an interesting phrase.
:D
endangered species hego!
Sorry I can only send my sunny disposition.
lol saani!
I decided to put the burgers on the grill barbeque on the cooktop. I am afraid these burgers are endangered as my husband is pretty hungry.
feed him, hungry husbands...
Or maybe my pretty clematis vine can brighten your day.
hego, just imagining it cheers me
it is my icon, can you see it?
I can complete that sentence, sanich!! I have a white clematis just blooming today and the flowers are the size of coffee saucers. The little pink one is about finished blooming but it was so pretty too. I'll look at your icon hego.
what a fabulous senual coulour! What is it's name?
sensual
I have no idea Saani.
Great word, sensual. Rich and deep, full value color there hego.
But they are huge also and almost luminous.
my purple wisteria has burst forth
All for now the rescue is in full swing to get lunch onthe table. GGlessings to all.
Spring is wonderful!
Stidge, what is the name of your white clematis? Sounds amazing
back to grid, see everyone later...
bye...
i love clematis too. We have a pink and white 'Nelly Moser' that is almost 30years old. It has huge blooms as well but they soon bleach in the sun, unfortunately. The small pink one sounds like a clematis Montane.
Montana even
hi Jazz
Jaxx, even
lolol funny
You have called me Jazz ever since I joined so why stop now? I answer to it.
Really? sorry, I'm a terrible typist.
As long as the name is not rude, I'm happy.
:)
I love that clematis, hego. I think it is the same family as the Nelly Moser we have but the name escapes me at the moment.
I never knew it. Just saw it in the garden center and loved it.
We used to have a blue version in a large pot but it blew over in the winter gales and hasn't recovered.
too bad
Yes, Jaxx has been around for a while, but still no profile. I always think she is a new person at first. But then there are many "grey heads" these days.
Mine is a pink head! It matches my specs
:)
Don't see a pink head, just the grey head.
You have to go to England for that.
I can't get hold of Dr God. All my e-mails come back as undeliverable so I shall be profieless for a little longer I'm afraid, Molly
profileless!
Really? Dr. God is very good about responding to emails from users. His email address is dr.god@playbabble.com. You need to put a period between dr and god.
grey hair denotes wisdom but I am not sure about pink hair. Crazy perhaps
I must be wise as all get out, then.
I will try again, promise. I know my lack of profile drives you mad.
imagination Jaxx
No, it really doesn't drive me mad at all. I just find it curious.
I still have my name in the rankings in black. I know I am a half breed! lol
I always contact him on Facebook where he is Babble Overlord.
Now I could try that, hego. Good idea. I am of the (very) old school and don't use Facebook all that much
Re 6.27 clue please
Hi, Ru
Hello
hi Ru. don't have that yet.
I don't either
hi there ru!
<--very impressed thar Ruru babbles while on vacation.

How's NYC?
*Very depressed that Ru plays while on vacation
ty Molly
ty Molly!
I took a long walk through central park...it is great. I have to rest my knees
sounds great :-)
Love that part of the city.
ty, molly
I have a ton packed in..dont you worry molly
Just make sure you don't sneeze on any saute pans.
I am close to columbia circle hego
cool location :-)
Lincoln Center!
My cold is almost gone
that's good.
Nothing like a few deep breaths of all that cab emission filled air to clear out your sinuses. : D
It is great here.
lol
I am on the 31st floor and have a great view
I love the city too!
Just thinking about a view from 31 floors up makes me queasy
no, it's wonderful!
Sure
:)
Weenie
Oh I'm a HUGE weenie when it comes to heights
*resists joke*
You have to look out over the view. Never straight down. Bever!!
Huge weenie joke?
Never, that is.
Bever?
Molly, one of my scariest height moments was when my mom and I started back down Mont Ste. Victoire and realized we'd taken the difficile path rather than the facile one!! and nothing to hold onto . . . slid in the dust and gravel and peed our pants all the way down LOL!
Oh, I thought that was part of the huge weenie joke
haha
turned the trail to mud!
Go ahead Ru, Une has introduced peeing in ones pants, huge weenie is not far from that
indeed! :-)
LOL!
I thought the french were supposed to be pissy
:-D
quite
And of course, this is all "typical" : P
we had to ride all the way home in the back seat of my (then) father-in-law's brand new car . . . thank god we had a big beach towel to sit on -- he never knew LOL
lmao!!
had so many fun times with my mom . . . tomorrow would have been her 88th birthday
ac7?
So great you have nice memories.
lots of them, hego :-)
I became an orphan at 57.
oh, mixi, how awful . . . so sorry
I played tennis with Dad on his 80th birthday. Singles and not his game. He won.
Your Mom must have been a wonderful woman Une. She certainly produced a great daughter.
well . . . i had 63 terrific years with my mom
don't know about that, molly, but she was indeed a very special lady
mixi, what fun!
I have lost both my parents, and never think of myself as an orphan. My folks are always around me in spirit.
same here, molly
I will have to visit them sometime. I think they are located near Dorens.
Here in NJ?
northern NJ. Hamburg.
I know where that is.
I don't think any of my cousins still live in NJ and my siblings are spread out.
Great story Une.. I am getting the most wonderful mental images. And RIP your lovely Mom. And hello all.
Ruru, If you are still onboard, will you give my regards to Broadway? Please.
Oh dear. I suppose Broadway is just going to have to soldier on without the regards of Soodle. :-(
Please do Ru, I'm sure Broadway has been just dying to hear from Soodle. : P
Holding it's breath, I would say. (Broadway, that is, awaiting my regards).
I'm sure it just hasn't been the same since the last time your regards flew in. : (
Ru is going to be really busy. What with regards, and all those "hugs" he is supposed to give Dorens and then get "hugs" back for people. He will be plum tuckered out.
The one and only time I was there, I saw Miss Saigon. That wasn't today nor yesterday. I'm due a return visit to New York. Heck. New York is due a return visit from ME.
LOL, Molls. Vicarious Babble hugs can be very time consuming. This I know for a fact after the mini-Irish meet up. But pesky good-looking waiters kept getting in the way. Tsk tsk.
I think River was astute enough to have conveyed a general "hug from Babble people". If not, you two would still be standing there with River saying "This is a hug from Person A, and this is a hug from Person B...etc ad infinatum"
Hugs were OK. The rock we perished on was when we started having drinks for individuals... Heres to Ruby. Clink. Heresh to Peri. C;
Clink. Heresh to Mollsh. Clink. Heresh to em all clinkety clinkety clink...
Oh well toasting people is okay and works to both of your advantage. I'm glad River was our Babble ambassador to Ireland. Couldn't have been a nicer person for you to have your first Babble meet with.
And *cough* like all those drinks would not have been consumed anyway, had you no one to toast. *cough*
For sure!!
So what is new in your world? How are the kids? How are the elder folks? How are you?
Kids are A1, Molly. Healthy and happy. Thanks be to God. The olds are still this side of the ground, which is good. My Dad got a place in a Nursing home in Dublin last week, which eliminates the necessity for me to be spending 9 hours a day visiting him, which is just wonderful. My Mom is ... hanging in there. And I am well. Thank you for asking.
The artist formerly known as Son of Soodle (Paul) is home at the moment, which always raises my spirits.
Sounds good. Glad to hear that things have taken a turn for the better. May that keep on.
Indeed. And you? How is life treating you?
I have decided that it's not about how life is treating me, it's about how I respond to that treatment. All is wonderful.
Whoa! Excellent philosophy.
Tatum Channing???? Causing ructions on a local chat show tonight. Whats all the fuss? Am I missing something?
Molly, psychaitrists have been teaching that forever and you've actually got it! Congrats!
Hi Saan.
Saani, I am still a student in Earth school. I take copious notes and show up for the next lesson eagerly.
Hello Soodle!
Molly I wish you had a blog
Soodle, how goes it?
Oh Saani, I am laughing here. You are probably one of the very few people who wishes that. : D
I appreciate your honesty and dry wit and getting right to the centre of issues, thats why
hello all
hello Owl!
hello, cat!
I'd also love a Moll-Blog. Hi (((TO))) Saani, things are good here. All three of my kids are under my roof tonight, which is a cause for celebration. Life is good.
hello, soodle
glad to hear that, such laughter you will have
Laughter, teasing, bickering, argumentativeness, more bickering, more laughing, more fighting. Just a normal family getogether really. I savour every milisecond of it.
sounds great!!!
It's good to have your circle of loved ones around, Soodle. I'm glad they are all there. That does a Mother's heart good.
Seriously Molly, have you ever though of starting a blog?
Blogs tend to end up being the minute details of someone's life, kind of like Facebook postings on a grander scale.
You speak sense. Your head is firmly on your shoulders. You seem to have the ability to see the wood instead of the trees.
Ah, you have no idea how nonsensical I have been, how off kilter my head has gotten and how much time I have spent among the trees. : D
I know you are going to hate this, but I'm going to do it anyway... ((((MollyL))))
Thanks for the parentheses. : P
So.... Moving swiftly on.... How's the weather in your part of the world?
And it's not that I "hate" the idea of conveying warmth to someone. I'm just not a big proponent of doing that with punctuation marks. The weather here is glorious.
And I hope your dog and cat and all other pets are doing well. : P
Understood. But, in fairness, it's difficult to convey any sort of emotion (good or bad) via a keyboard.
Well... the dog is a rescue creature. If she were a human, she would surely be blonde. Sorely lacking in grey matter. The cat is fat, greedy and arrogant. The budgie, called Babble is the lowest maintenance pet Chez Soodle.
Yeah, but I am a word person and I find that sort of thing better done with words. Just my opinion (which usually goes over like a lead balloon here) : D
Which reinforces my theory that there is a need for 'Sarcasm' font on a standard keyboard.
That would be fun, but I doubt it would make much difference to the humorless.
Hi, Soodle and Molly (again)
Ah, (((Jaxx))). Nice to see you. :-)
Soodle, I guess that rock we talked about has shifted?
You sound so much better
If not quite shifted, Jaxx, It's certainly been dislodged, and open to movement.
That's the point of the story
Indeed. :-)
and i am so pleased for you
I know you are, Jaxx, and that means a lot. Thank you.
Now, do you have a clue for de8 please. it's all I want you for really :))
Back of my hand to my forehead........ You only wanted me for my words..... Dramatic sigh...
LOL.
Could somebody please help with the DE 8. PLEASE.
Molly?
Anybody?
Guess I am on my own
soodle often displays a calm de8, except when asking for clues
DE8 facial appearance,Conduct.etc
Jaxx. It's thee and me, and I'm no good.
Hey Zoom, how are you and your clan doing. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Thanks, zooz. how are you?
Soodle, don't say that. You are good at listening
Funeral is on the 2nd of June..mother is close to a nervous breakdown..taking tablets for it plus lots of family & friends around to help..many thanks for all your kind support..it really does mean a lot to me..thank you.
Ah, Zooz. Mega hugs ((((()))). I was so sorry to hear about the loss of your brother. That was a really bad blow. I hope you are doing ok, old friend. (((More hugs))))
All I can say is drink has taken my brother away from us way to early at only 54.
I know that extreme feeling of loss as a mother who went through it herself. tell her it won't get easier immediately but eventually she won't suffer so much pain. I will think of all of you om the 2nd of June.
That stuff is worse than any other drug
I will tell her, Jaxx, not just yet as i do not think it would sink in but over time i will..thanks.
Oh man Zoom, I didn't know it was alcoholism that took him. It is a horrible disease. Please know that all the good thoughts and prayers coming your way are a blanket of comfort for you.
I do like a drink and still will have one now and again..just sad when it becomes an addiction some people can not get out of.
Zooz, is there anything us Babblers can do to make things a bit easier for you? Would you like to tell us about your brother? Would you like us not to mention what happened? Is there anyway at all that we can help you to get through this awful time?
zooz, as a mother of a recovering addict i offer sympathy.. we also have it in the back of our minds that this will happen.. i always do..so sorry
Thanks, Soodle, but it is not so much about the drink problem my brother had but where, how and the state he was found and we had no idea that hurts the most. the feeling of wish we knew to try and help..but he just wuld not let us in.
Zoom, Mom will find peace in her own time. There isn't much anyone can do to mend the hurt in her heart right now. And words are meaningless to someone going through such a loss. Again, you folks are in my prayers.
thats always have it in my our minds, not also.. its always there...
She is overwhelmed by all sorts of feelings at the moment but I'm willing to bet the hardest to bear is the sense of guilt. If there is anything I can do to help let me know.
Agreed, Molly..just being there for her is all we can do at this early stage.
oh yes the guilt... i agree jaxx.. its terrible
You are a wise one Zoom, that is all you can do right now.
And Zoom, there is no way to help someone who won't let you in. Try not to beat yourself up over that.
OK once again for being here my babble friends..but I can no longre see what I am typing..so will go for now..but I thank you all for putting up with me being sad at this moment in my life.
Any time Zoom, there are people who care about you here. Always remember that.
This all reminds me of some good advice I got once. Nothing that comes after "if only" matters.
Oh Zooz, there is a process that you, your Mam & all bereaved by your brother's passing must go through. There will be grief, lots of grief, there will be anger, guilt, and eventually some sort of accxeptance. Zooz, your are a dear Babble friend and I will pray for you, your family and the peaceful repose of the soul of your brother
fist ad7 pls
NM
I think I'll go to bed now. My heart is breaking for Zooz. I really wish I could give him an actual hug rather than an parenthesis one. I hear you Molly
Sleep well, soodle and sweet dreams
Nite Jaxx. I really wish i could make life a bit easier for Zooz.
it's that rock thing again. It is a cliche but time will make things easier. You have your own experience to confirm that and I have my late son. Alcohol ism is a nightmare. I think from what Zooz said that no-one knew of the problems his brother had and that adds to the impact.
I don't think that people grieving a loss need other people to take it on, and act as if it is a personal tragedy for them. On the contrary, what our grieving friends need to hear is words of strength and hope from those of us trying to support them.
well said, Molly
I agree, Molly. if he needs to work it out then he knows where we are.
Thanks Peri. I have been through this grief thing and I learned a few lessons along the way.
He's worried about his mother too. You expect parents to be strong.
No, not really. Not when they have lost a child. That is the most horrible and unexpected loss there is.
very true, no matter how old the child
I know that personally Molly. nevertheless, you still feel like a child when your parents are there whatever your age. It is hard to realise that they are human too
I was very close with a woman who was in her late 70's and lost a son in his mid 40's. She was never the same after that.
I lost mine when I was 60, Molly. It has taken me nearly nine years to accept that it was out of my control as a mother
Zooz, if you are still here please accept my condolences on the loss of your brother and extend the same to your family. So sorry.
I tried, I really tried and yet he still took his own life at 30 years of age.
oh jaxx, what mothers go through. very sad to read that.
I do understand what Zooz' mother is going through.
Probably best to focus on what Zoom is going through at the moment and offer up any words of support we can.
Fine
I'm so sorry jaxx. No mother should have to endure that.
The point I am trying to make is that after more than 15 years of struggle, it was not unexpected while in zooz' family case they didn't know and that has made it harder
and that is my last word. I am off to my bed.
have a peaceful night, jaxx
Everyone has their own take on things like this. I was just trying to suggest that when someone is going through a difficult grief of their own, our stories of our grief experiences are not really what they need. At least that was my experience. It's not about what happened to you, or how your heart is breaking, it's about what is happening to them. Sorry if this was misunderstood.
jaxx was sharing her own experience with losing a child. I think it probably helped jaxx, somewhat, even after all these years. It never really ends.
I understand that Annie. Perhaps it is just my experience with comments after losing a loved one. I really didn't want to hear about "other women who had lost their husband" or "how they dealt with it". What I appreciated the most was just the kind words and the person who would sit next to me and remind me to breathe.
well I just walked into this heavy convo, but MollyL I wholeheartedly agree with you... my closest friend is dying of brain cancer and she is so OVER people coming in the room and saying Well when uncle Bill had brain cancer, he died just like that. And Etc. Everyone has a story to share, but the person living the story right now doesn't want to hear it. OK just my 2 cents.
Like I said, everyone has their own take on things.
Thanks Lil, I'm glad someone understands. And I'm very sorry about your friend. I will light a candle for you and for her.
I think just caring words and keeping someone company is best. Just let them know you love and care for them, and they are important to you.
Thanks you Moly, her name is Mary Eileen.
What a pretty name, I will keep Mary Eileen in my prayers.
I can see both your views. Jaxx was speaking about losing her child when it just happened to another woman. lil*, I am very sorry to hear about your friend. So very sad.
You are a good one, Annie. I am always glad to hear your opinion on things. Thanks.
Thank you MollyL and Annie
Thanks, Molly.
lil monkey I am so sorry to hear about your friend, Mary Eileen.

Good evening everyone:))..Yawn..law class is keeping poor Crossy busy with homework:(
FW
congrats, pauline
howdy crossy :-)
greetings friends
hey pugs :-)
Hi Une--how are you
working on last 26 words :-)
Just reading back and both side of the grief/ death/ crisis view are correct. In the initial stages support and kind words and just being there for some who has lost a loved one is crucial. Later on , however, the sharing of ones own pain and similar experiences can let a person know that even though there is pain and anguish at the moment, the can be and is resolution, closure and indeed a life after the death of someone close.
thankyou for your perspective crossy. well said
agreed
Hi Bugs and crossy
hello friends
what kind of law are you studying crossy?
CLU3M college/ university placement
lots of case studies
I meant something more basic like contract, criminal, family etc
ahh right now i am studying a civil action suit; Anderson v. W.R. Grace
The parties involved are filing for compensation for negligence, pain and suffering, wrongful death, and financial restitution for their homes and the property they sit upon.
if you give me your addy, you can peer edit my paper for me:))
bugsawbabble@gmail.com I can edit for grammar and ease of understanding but the content must remain yours. I would love to read it just for information. I sort of remember this. Anderson was the first person to notice the connection between leukemia and polutants i think
ok. coming at you in 2 minutes
When is it due? Can I finish the grid first? Have 49 more and I am not that fast
ok, paper is sent:)
due monday:)
just have to add a conclusion but 99% of it is there.
ok printing now
you are quite correct, bugsaw this is the exact case that i am working on
there was a movie done about it called A Case study starring John Travolta
the movie itself ended quite abruptly, but was enjoyable to watch
Six people died including five children. The settlements reached to me are surprisingly low.
do you know the settlement totals per familly o-o?
although money cannot replace the loss of a loved one.
No, but nine million leads me to believe there were proof problems.
well, big corporations like this will drag things out hoping to bankrupt the plaintiffs into settling quickly for a lesser ammount than they had hoped for.
it gets to be a contest as to whose pockets are deeper
that was untill their lawyer gave all the doccuments over to the E.P.A
I expect the clients had contingency fee arrangement with their lawyers
i am sure, but in this case, the lawyer and his entire firm ran out of capital as well
everyone went broke on the way to the initial 8 million
Personally, i would of collected what info i could and would of involved the EPA sooner
one company settled for a million, one was exonerated and the last paid 8 million
ahh . got it.
The EPA should not of needed an invitation to do its job
the lawyers for the plaintiffs even sold the furniture and their own home to generate liquid capital
no, they should not have.
Aerial photos showed barrels of contaminants on the property of one company going back into the sixties
and, if the movie was correct, they borrowed an additional $600,000.00 from the bank
Was this in NJ?
MA I believe
yes, and they did a fast and dirty dump of all toxic materials on site in 1981, tossing the bulk of it into an ajacent river
yes, MA
I think I saw the tail end of that movie last week.
I think I saw the tail end of that movie last week.
the movie ended abruptly and it could have been done better
Is there a book?
some actual court scenes with the family, the lawyer of the plaintiffs and the E.P.A would of really helped
i think there is, seaspray
As we all know the book is always better.
yup. I can only think of one or two instances where the book is inferior to the movie
may I have a clue for the pe 6, 21 please?
sorry, bugsaw, I do not have it
Nor I
Good night all
I read A Civil Action. Didn't see the movie. But we have a huge W.R. Grace presence in Montana
pe6, french papa meets preposition
ok, I will wait for help before getting into this disscussion
It seems that W.R. grace has been involved in many, many siuts.
suits
too easy, thanks harpjane
sorry, should i make the clues harder?
you can pay me back with an easy clue for pe7
sorry,,, French father + charged particle
ty, bugsaw
I meant that once you have one, you should be able to see the other one. Glad you were stuck too!
thanks!
lol, bugsaw. i have gone through the paper again and made 24 corrections as to grammar and readability
are any of the mu words remotely familiar, i just have the 4
not really jane. mu 5 = mu + auto but change the vowel in auto, then pl
mu 5 = mu _ our friend ***sshair
:))
new word for me.
mu 5 = the disks on the outside of a fish are called ***les , then plural in Greek or Latin, whatever works
looking at your paper now crossy.... thanks for letting me learn some more
Here is one -- Anne Anderson's name has an E on the end, like mine. We are particular about that sort of thing ;)
ahh yes, ty. Must correct that
Still missing an mu6--the first
no problem, bugsaw. Thank you for agreeing to peer edit on my behalf. I cannot do it in my class because it seems that 90% of them should be sent back to high school to repeat grades 9-12:(
makes group assignments very difficult.
It is my bed time. tc all and happy babbling> i will touch base with you tomorrow, bugsaw.
mu 6 the first is a regular way to plural something.
off to email crossy with little things. Happy Babbling
