A black bear was here 24 hrs ago. It was a cool encounter, much safer because my visiting sister and I were inside.

I had noticed that a bird feeder was missing and then we saw the bear. He lumbered around the front, passed around the garage, went out back, then moved on to other yards.
since he got yours there was nothing else to feed on so he moved on.....has happened to me but never did see the actual bear
just found my feeder ripped down and crushed
I have always blamed knocked down feeders, and missing feeders, on raccoons, but maybe bears have been the perpetrators sometimes.
mine was strung up high on a pully system between 2 trees. the pully system was ripped down and the feeder absolutely destroyed. I dont think a racoon could do that.
but you never know. I have seen a bear on my street so just assumed.

I know scrabbs - will try one more injection first - scheduled in August. The first didn't last much at all. The Doc would like to hold it off until I am 60 but I cant wait another 3 years with this much pain.

Stretching--I read about exercises. It is usually self-limiting. The pain primarily disrupts sleep for me.
yes - cortisone in the hip. Have had one. Have also had 2 steriod injections in my back. Just about read for my 3rd. Yes I have 2 surgeries ahead of me if these dont work.

apparently i have central sensitivity syndrome. the HPA axis doesn't function. that's the hypothalamus, the pituitary and the adrenal glands all aren't working, hence i have no body temperature control

Indeed. The doctor is on vacation this week and next; he said someone would call us with the results but I'm not holding my breath.
He also has a colonoscopy/endoscopy next Thursday (o joy); for that we should be able to talk to the (different) doctor right away.
Oh yeah...that loverly 'prep'...LOL. We here also send patients home with finding on procedure.
if that shows significant Crohn's then maybe we have our explanation of the enlarged lymph nodes; of course then we have the problem of how to treat it

Oh, good luck Sue. My daughter-in-law has been battling Crohn's for most of her life.
Of course, Chrohn's is a better answer to the lymph nodes!
Thanks, Molly! I suppose Frank must have had it all along, but it's only been a problem for him quite recently (and we pretty much ignored it for a year or so since we were concentrating on the cancer)
we also know a number of people with Crohn's; it's certainly no picnic but somehow when the most likely other cause is cancer it doesn't sound so bad.
Anyway I am trying not to assume anything; it is whatever it is, and when we find out we will deal with it. (I already spent a month saying maybe it's "just" Crohn's the first time, when it turned out to be cancer)
Of course, you would want a diagnosis that was not cancer. And I hope that is what you get. It just seems like the medical community is in twelve different places about "how to treat Crohn's" so that is frustrating.
And I still think it's insulting as hell for someone to have Celiac and Crohn's at the same time.
yeah, never mind cancer on top of it all! Frank really feels shortchanged.
