do they let you take your pets inside? Here where I get my dog food they let you take your dogs in and my dogs love going there

yes, they do, one of the few pet stores that do. They specialize in dog- and catfood and other stuff for cats and dogs. Great people and a very good store.

Talking to others, the opinion is very divided...and then there are those who would like to try independence but are afraid, so will put off decision until the day itself or just err on the safe side.

You have to be careful when adding programs as they often contain new search bars and alike..I always click on the advanced set-up and deselect all the crap they try to sneek onto the computer.

I dealt with breast lumps twice in the past. It is a scary experience. The first time I had a iopsy. The second time I did not as the mammo and sonogram were reassuring.

best cancer test i ever had was at Princess Margerette's in Toronto. Was there for a regular 3 month check-up and the doc in charge of me noticed a lump under my left nipple and some irregular mole. Must of been a slow day because he picked up the phone and the specialist buddy of his came in eating a sandwich and said want a biopsy and results now? I jumped at it. He took a sample right then and there and walked it down to the lab himself and was back in 15 minutes with a clean bill on that one. then not 3 miniutes later the skin specialist walks on through , leans in and takes a look at my belly, circles 4 moles with his pen and says "next week just get your resident surgeon at home to remove those. i will call him if you like and set it up" Was crazy. Everything was done in less than an hour.

We walked along some of the Appalachian trail in Maine when the kids were little and some of it in Virginia. We were much younger then and it makes for wonderful memories now.
No, stidgmere. This was The Potomac Heritage Trail, the portion from the Woodrow Wilson Bridge to Roosevelt Island. The most rigorous 10 miles inside the beltway. Three lovely waterfalls along the way at Gulf Branch, Spout Run, and a rock formation downstream from Spout Run.

Oh. Did not know about the Potomac trail. There are so many hidden treasures in our country. If you took pictures you can use them as screen savers in the winter and be delighted all over again.
In the nearby Blue Ridge, i sometimes go to Sky Meadows state park, and hit the Appalacian Trail South to the Butt's Shelter, or North to Snicker's Gap.

We saw bears one time in Virginia. The river was so noisy, I could not alert my husband to the bear on the other side of the river.

we saw a young buck and doe at one point near Crest Ln. The doe showed signs of having been fed by people, but we had no deer-appropriate food with us.
Today we saw a mother merganser and her eight little fluffy ducks resting and getting a buffet lunch from the bottom of the little float in front of our house. We have had several generations of mergansers use that as a staging place for bringi ng up babies.
I'm curious, what are "signs of having been fed by people"?

I feel really fortunate that I see all of that kind of wildlife right in my own back yard. The advantage of living close to a State Park. The critters like to roam.
