so far, however, our son's been back out here nearly every day for a while - he's having a rough time adjusting, I think. Today was his 23rd birthday, and he's lived here since he was 4 months old.
only been moved out for almost 2 weeks.
oh dear, lol. Yeah, will take some time to get used to it for him. But it will go quicker if he spends some time in his new place.
he needs to find some kind of work, I think that would help - but he's not very motivated. she makes enough for them to live on, I think, if she'd quit buying clothes and convenience foods. not much of a cook.

For all of us. He was hospitalized for the second time in a month. At last tho, my ex and my daughter are on the smae page with me. I had wanted to start this process a year ago and they fought it all the way up until he stayed a few months with each of them (we all live within a mile and a half of each other). They had the big "Welcome to my world" moment.

Yes, indeed. Right now he's in a post-manic crash. His new home is a quiet place, run by the family who lives on the second floor. It's close to us, but also far enough away from some hangouts of his that were not so good.

yes, indeed. It is not cheap. Rent is a few hundred over his SSI benefit. The ex and I are splitting that balance. Hopefully, our son will eventually work part-time and be able to cover his expenses one day. This is a while off however. I'm grateful to have the means to help him.

It was very easy. The judge didn't even leave the room to deliberate...he just approved it. I am so happy and relieved. I hadn't slept much for a couple of days and when I got home and tried to work I fell asleep at the computer!

As you know, it has been a long struggle in so many ways. At one point you know I was even planning suicide. So glad I was able to hang in there with help from family and friends including my Babble people.

They're denying EVERYONE now, it seems. I knew of a man who had terminal cancer and they denied him...he did die. I was incapacitated for about a year so I was suing just for that back pay, not claiming to be disabled now because I am not.
Crossy...the great part about the house is that I start collecting about $300 more a month when my ex turns 62 in December, so basically I'd have the same budget with the house that I have with my apt.
here, my disability guy confessed that they auto- deny everyone the first two go-arounds or so just as a method of weeding out the posers. I think that is horrible
That sounds pretty austere. Why deny S.S. when you are ill? What does S.S. have to do with your health? I thought it was something like a pension you received when you retired.
There are two different types. I am collecting early retirement but that is different from Social Security Disability insurance....they are completely separate things. I was denied the disability...can't be denied the retirement, which I couldn't collect back then because I wasn't 62 yet.

That's what's happening here, too, crossy. What do they expect people to do in the meantime? That's supposed to be our rainy day money.....well, it was pouring down hard on me and they didn't care.
do not know about the U.S godthaab, but here the buggers run welfare payments and disability through the same office with the same process. The will always consider disability as a temporary thing untill you are broken beyond all repair and take great delight in threatening to cut you off and you have to do the mad apaerwork dance every month

home made screens are easy to make and put up , zooz. Just order about 9 linear feet of 1x3 and a roll of bug screen from the hardware store and you can make em yourself
