i so feel my immediate superior, a nurse i have worked with for over 20 years.yesterday they had 8 patients in the recovery, and five of them were ICU patients, which ICU could not take as they had been on stand-by to take a cardiac case.
the overall in charge wanted another patient to come into recovery, my friend said, only if the anaesthetic nurse stays and looks after them. 10 minutes later the in-charge was demanding the nurse to return to theatre, and my friend said no.
omg! That is impossible.
in-charge kept on demanding, my friend, never known to be cool headed at the best of times, lost it, and shouted NO!!.

yeah, mate. those two have a new jigsaw every 24 hours. jigidi, as you know, has lots of puzzles to solve everyday.

zooz, today i worked 2 hours...no bone pain...just a muscular ache, quickly resolved with a cold pack.
new med for BP appears to have settled a bit. at least i am not walking around the house in my sleep.

zooz, for the first time in 5 years....i am actually cold at night. i am seriously considering getting out my " warm " pj's. i am sleeping through 5-6 hours at a stretch. and falling asleep after a vivit to the bathroom and taking my pain meds.

some tablets and netbooks cannot tolerate the 400 piece giants puzzles
I find it strains my eyes to look at such tiny pieces on a laptop screen..so i tend not to do ones in the 400 range.

fyi, that Ji9gidi puzzle of the tree canopy was one my beloved took last week. They are actually maple trees. Our maples usually do not grow with a height such as what you see here, but this part of the hiking trail is in a protected area of the Bruce trail, and trees such as these, left undisturbed develop this height and canopy appearance in a race to the sunlight. They are at least 150 feet in hight and rare.
a normal front yard maple will be much wider than tall and have a 20-30 foot height range and be wider in the trunk if left to its own devices
It does look like a nice place to spend an afternoon. Love forests and coastal places.

Sounds like my type of hike. I have no trouble with steep inclines or really wild hard to get places.Those are the places I love most.
it is actually the highest point of land in the georgian bay area, and popular with the day hikers. Had a calorie counter thing-a-majig on my iphone running and i burnt 2200 calories getting to the place:)
then it would definitely be for you:)

what i do want is a couple of those personal GPS beacons that just clip on your belt. They work anywhere, but a good one will run $300, CAD
Well it could be money well spent.
The interesting thing is, once you buy one, you have to register it as they work in much the same way as an aircraft location beacon and there are fines if they are used incorrectly
I can understand that. I would think it would only be used for emergency purposes.
I think it is set up so you can run a test on it 5 times a year, but other than that it is never to be used unless of dire, life threatening emergency. great things they are

It has been a real struggle lately, crossy. Never know when the doc I transcribe will enter the new dictations so I end up sitting by the computer with that window open most of the day and downloading as it arrives on the screen and transcribe it later so I won't miss any....awful. And her mother is allowed to transcribe two other docs but I am not...stupid.

things are not going so great, looks like Frank's cancer is back; he is having surgery on Tuesday to bypass a constriction in his bowel, then he will start chemo
we are trying not to get too depressed...
very sorry to hear that, sue.
I just read your bio.... sorry for that Sue. I have a friend who went through VERY similar circumstances as Frank . She is now fit and healthy, and golfs at least 4 times a week.... and has worn a colostomy bag for 4 years now. Her cancer has not come back..... Take heart !!
