A friend of mine who is not very computer savvy was worried last week because he's looked at a site which contained, shall we say, ladies in a state of undress. He was paranoid. So we got some other friends of ours (whom he didn't know) to dress up in black suits, black sunglasses and knock on his door and sat in US accents that they were there to 'talk to him about his internet usage'. He nearly had a heart attack!!

i agree sprite. but she reckons she is gonna shake it on her own. i don't like the sound of her chest being so full she can't breathe properly.
yeah that had me worried too. I used to say that if you don't run high fevers, you don't have pneumonia, but I know better now.
well you can have viral pneumonia....and there is dry pleurisy....now that's really painful.
caya got the viral one, I think, some time back. Not high fever, not crazy coughing. So we didn't take her to the doctor's and she managed to overcome it by herself, but it took up all her energy.
if we had known, we'd have had her taken to the doctor right away :(
but caya is young, and the young seem to bounce back so much more easily. they quite often don't have the co-morbidities us oldies have.
that is true, rose. But it still took a lot out of her and it took her a long time to get back to full health and energy.
so I really wish pugs would go see her doc

I miss the smell and feel of a book but this is so much cheaper to read. Have gotten so many free ones and I have the internet
and the wind doesnt mess up the pages
And I dont need a light on
I still have my over-full book shelves, but having a reader gives me the option of portability. I now have over 300 books on my Nook. If not for it, I would of had to turn my entire living room into a library

And I only read hard cover so alot of money on these shelves

what is scarey about bats is they fly into your head and that is frightening. they wont eat you but they do bite.
she would hang inside my t-shirt pocket where it was warm when I was sitting home in the evenings.
nd if they are caught in your hair watch out.
bats will not fly into you unless you jump in their way, mkg - they are very good at avoiding flying into solid objects, as that way lies injury and death.
if you just stay still they will go around you.

Hi, jes! Bats are great and easy to tame. I once raised a baby hummingbird. Every vet in town said it could not be done, but I did it!
anyway, Micro went to work with me a lot, because she had to eat all the time (they have an AMAZING metabolism!). Little beastie was less than an ounce, and ate up to 3 dozen grubs a day!
I basically self-supported the local bait shop that spring.

oh, eventually she got big enough to fly, and I foresaw bad things happening with my cat, so I drove her over to a bat rescue on the other side of the state, where she could be released with several other bats together, because they're very social.
Had a very scary day on the way though - I spent the night at a friend's house and their dog got up onto the table where Micro's bed was, and knocked it down and opened it.
For most of the day, I thought Lady had eaten her and was really upset.
