halfway, night all, poof :)
cooee and g'day from me
good morning all
{{hugs}} dear friend
*hugs rose* Hello darling, how are you today?
doing well. it is father's day here. two of don's three remembered, and my youngest also. don was so pleased.
and you, sweetheart. have you have a good, bad, or indifferent night?
aw that is good. Tell him Happy Father's day from me as well :)
rather bad, alas. Ugly dreams. Am dead beat.
don says, ohhh, thank-you
:D
is today going to be busy for you? or can you relax and recover?
am making it a slow day. Got dishes to wash, dog to walk and laundry to do. I might ask one of the kids to do the dog.
we have spent this afternoon watching a down-load don did of robin williams in the actors studio. it was hilarious. it took nearly 15 minutes before the compere could ask his first question.
roflol that is so wonderful!
sounds like a good plan, sprite. and take your time to do the dishes.
have you seen that particular episode?
yes, I did the cooking last night so it isn't a mess, thank God.
strange that! when the woman does the cooking the me4 is less.
because we clean what we use, throw away the wrappers and stow away the herbs etc after use.
what a lovely evening/morning yesterday when we all were he4. it was such fun.
our men, being male, focus on preparing the food and go blind for what happens around them.
wasn't it :D I was so happy our pug was safe and sound. Can't wait to hear the news.
lolol, my de4 old nanna always said...a good cook cleans up after themself.
you and me both, sprite.
well, most men's brains simply are not wired that way. They see what they focus on and not what is around that. While female brains focus less and see more around them.
* giggle * we even had ruby....what a treat! oh and worzel!!
just dear joso and crossy missing
and, and, and we had pink...hadn't seen her in a trillion years.
same. Pink, and Liz, and zooz. It was a good company.
with sir joso being so house-trained nowadays, and crossy in school...it might be a while before they will be he4 at the sa4 time as us again.
yes. Can't blame them for wanting to sleep, grin
how rude!! babble is miles more important than sleep....lol
lol!
hun, have had to re-start the magnesium tabs. overnight cramps again, and burn-ups. the half infusion isn't lasting the full week. i'm going to ask cardiologist on tuesday if i could have the full dose.
it is worth trying, if the cardiologist gives you the green light. Maybe our bodies burn up magnesium much faster than other people's bodies?
Morning all. May I please have a clue for re5-10 the 1st Thanks much.
hi peach :)
oh, and i wore my "work" shoes today. they are wolverine sneakers. i was able to stand for 98% of the service ( where required ) with no ill effects.
Hi there sprite. How you doing?
wow rose, that is very good news. Smart thinking. But don't overdo it, please?
am fine, peach :) How about you?
peach, re5, re + not west + abbreviation for ro4, where cars drive
Thanks so much, Rose.
hello??? anyone he4?? or has babble hiccuped??
yw peach
hi sweetie, I am still here
I'm doing alright tonight, thanks sprite.
ugh...hate feeling like i am talking to the air, as you well know...lol
am glad to hear it, peach :)
as we all do, when you are hunting squirrels, rose, roflololllllll
ugh, no need to rub the salt in sprite...
*giggles* Rose, my dear friend, we wouldn't want you any other way.
i am so sorry, sprite. * grovelling, kissing toes*
That tickles!
* blows raspberries on sprites soles*
sorry, hun...should i trim the moustache??
omg that is evil!
not as evil as raspberries on the tummy...lolol....come he4 you...
am laughing so hard here!
*giggle* my job is done...i have blown the nasty dreams away....
sure did :D
just realised it has been ages since we had 'toea' in a grid. And 'etna' too, though not as long. Funny, that.
bite your tongue, or in this case, fingers. evil woman!! i always miss those wretched words...
I have given up spotting them a long time ago. I just enter them in every grid.
we really need jillibus back on-line to give us the heads up
so true. Our dear jilli.
i hope the book is worth it. hmmm must email her ....i think i owe her one.
which book?
she's writing a book about great danes.
oh wow. She is so multitalented, our jilli.
one of her loves, sprite
I know. She also made an amazing buste of one of them, have you ever seen it on her icon?
yes, i did sprite.
lovely, isn't it
i could never aspire to such a thing.
I love that woman. So active still at her age, and such an inspiration.
loverly grid, sprite? i enjoyed it, anyway. not too many weird words...
yes, it is indeed. Flying through it.
I'd say a toadame is a lady to4.
yup, absolutely...put it in the dictionary
:D
ok, done.
yay sprite....and so the dictionary grows...
I love it. So many great words collected already.
Good evening :)
*wonders* would ro4sot be the way home for a drunken person???
hi Liz :) *hug* for you and your husband.
g'day liz girl
Hugs to both of you.
how are you and yours, Liz?
We're well - busy day today - memorial service this afternoon, followed by a meeting. Just got home. It's cold and wet out but lovely indoors :)
fireflies
Hoping you're both well.
Congrats, Sprite
memorial service? Did I miss some bad news, Liz?
No - it's a Jewish tradition - a year after someone dies. This was the father of a friend.
and welcome home, where you can leave all cold and damp behind you :)
ah ok. What a lovely tradition.
It's nice because the person is remembered by family and friends - a bit more distant from the grief.
It's actually a "public" unveiling of the gravestone and is called a "Stonesetting"
yes, and it means there is support for the nearest survivors on that day too. Which is a tough day, especially the first year. And some people actually think or say here: "It's been a YEAR! Aren't you over it by now?"
And for my friend, it corresponded with Aussie father's day, which made it particularly poignant for her
am glad she had the support of her friends and family today.
WTG SPRITE!!
thanks :)
Hmmm! Quick first 100 for me. Slowed down now.
liz girl...so many beautiful ceremonies the christians left behind.
yeah it is a friendly grid today
good grief, sprite...i hope they don't say that.
I have to be off. A big *hug* to you both, and to your husband too, Liz. And one extra for Rose, cuz I have the feeling you need one :) To all, a blessed day and a peaceful night.
enjoy your day, sprite. rest...and recover...xoxox
Hugs to you too Sprite - and an extra one for Rose.
Enjoy your day.
Have you had a tough day, rose?
some do, rose. Have heard it said about a friend of Cobi's and mine, who died way too young. People don't realise that you never really 'get over' losing someone very dear. It just gets more distant in time. Not necessarily easier though.
*poof*
Sadly, I've also heard that said.
liz, not particularly. my dad died 12 years ago...i do still miss him terribly. don's dad died a year later. still struggling with all the paperwork from centrelink.
Thought it might be paperwork! Like I said before, these places love paper - hate trees!
My mum died 26 years ago - miss her very much.
* giggle * liz...so true
you are one of the lucky ones then, liz. i only miss the concept of a mother, not the person who was my biological mother.
only one of my brothers misses her...but then i think his brain was affected by his birth.
Yes, i know i was very lucky. I feel cheated losing her so early.
She was 61.
i feel cheated with losing my dad. he was 75..awww liz girl...way too early
For both of us - and for them.
{{hugs}} liz girl. you are on my heart, de4.
Same, Rose :)
good morning
Hi and hugs, Ruby. Have you recovered from your visitor?
yes, but my husband is sad and weepy but still has time to be nasty....
My mother died before I came to France, and I miss her every day. But my father, who actually came to visit once when he was past 90 and with whom I wa very close, too, I think of, but not in the same, sad way I miss my mother
{{hugs}} ruby...please my de4...try and stand back...it is not your problem, de4.
It's tough for you, Ruby - sad about the nastiness but it's not down to you.
This morning, just after he got finished telling me how much he loves e, he called me a lying b***h because I (gently) reminded him that he hadn't filled the birdfeeder.
burt's perspective is not your perspective...
My dad only died 4 years ago - I also miss him but not in the same way, which is strange because in many respects I was a "daddy's girl".
me, too, liz. I was like the son he never had, did all the sports things with him. But my mother was my best friend. I was very lucky!
Mum became a best friend the more adult I became.
same with me.
I'd've loved her to have met my hubby.
Taking a break. Hugs and have a good day. Rose, enjoy your evening :)
you two are so fortunate. my mother was a narcissistic parent.
{{liz}}
thanx, liz girl. enjoy your eveniong.
ugh * evening *
it makes a huge difference in your whole life. Burt's mother was passive-aggressive and he learned that behavior from her.
how did you turn out to be so loving, rose?
ruby, my de4.....i decided very early on...not to be ever like my mother.
that must have been very difficult but "brava" to Rosie for accomplishing it. Most don'tt
to this day...for me to wear a skirt or a dress....it has to be a major event...
xoxox ruby...you are such a wonderful friend.
but not suc a good wife....
such*
awww ruby...you are a good wife...it is the male part which lacks the skills, de4.
I certainly can't make him happy any more
ruby, love...it would appear no-one can make him happy.
thank you, Rosie, but it's very hard to see him so sad and not be able to help in an honest way.
ruby, love....you know, in your heart...you have tried everything...it is not your fault, hun.
to change this awful subject, did you see my nudging abut the dog/spider video (found it in google). At least I got him to laugh
no, ruby...didn't see it. and don found a video of a kitten and a statue of a cat...very funny.
look for the spider/dog one. I laughed 'til I cried
ruby...speaking of laughing until you cry...please google robin williams in " the actors studio "...a must see
will do
you are a good fiend, rosie! Just wait 'ti you meet my pups!
lol...it will happen, ruby.
Fiend!!!
moi?
and i am hoping you mean fRiend, and not fiend...
hahaha
hahaha
roflol, zooz
My eyes are so ad I didn't see the (Freudia) typo {zzoozz}}
g'day zooz
Well that got me out of stealth mode..lol
Hello, Ladies :-)
It is such a pleasure coming into this room, it always gives me a smile and a lightening of my mood
Always nice to see you here as well, Ruby!
lolol, zooz...xoxox mate
107 words but no nbt or nbs
apparently robin williams was newly diagnosed with parkinson's disease.
any stats for an 8, pls?
ruby, sweetie, which are you missing?
Yes I heard his wife had mentioned that.
e and s in 2nd column and all 8's
ma8, female spelling of french nobility
a neighbor drowned himself after years of battling PD
lovely clue, ty Rosie
aah and I found a second ma8
ma8, plural of ma7. ma + plural letter + ***stion, what you ask to understand + *ight, not left
and now, must run
es6/36. es + what you do with food in your mouth. then plural for es7
ty for cheering me up
sq6/30. plural of sq5. army group
yay, nbt, nbs and 116
*smiling woof*
yay, ruby....enjoy your day, hun
* smooch * zoozzoom. hello dear friend.
And how are you keeping, Rose?
zooz, am doing okay. sunday he4...so have been taking it easy. i am hoping to face the paperwork tomorrow...don has said he will support me, emotionally, physically and mentally.
and you, my dear mate? is all well with you?? and this medical appointment sprite was chatting about, yesterday? what is that about?
Yes it is Sunday here too.Albeit morning.Very pleased to hear that.As it must be a daunting task to get through so much paperwork.Did you get the extention of another week to go through the extra paperwork you found?
zooz, will call the social work people tomorrow morning...fingers crossed...i sure hope so, mate.
I am OK thanks, Rose. Going to the carboot sales soon.Always crap yet we still enjoy it..lol
Yes that is about mental health issues, Rose. But awaiting to be seen about that :-)
lol, zooz...i love those type of sales.
* holds zooz up to my God * zooz, please know, you are being prayed for>
We always think we are going to find a bargain. But my father finds it hard to walk and there are so many people there, he tends to just about look down to see where his feet are going and not enough attention on what is on the stalls..lol
I am OK, Rose.Just a few niggly things in my head that is making me shun people more and more. Not in a spiteful way.Just do not like being around people..lol I will be OK
zooz...my de4 friend...please let me know...how can my prayers uphold you"
Well as you know I am not of the praying type. But I so appreciated your very kind helpful thoughts.Just being here when I feel like chatting is all I need :-)
I really am fine. When at home here or round parents I am me.Just when I have to go out on my own around people for some reason I feel threatened and vunerable..lol weird really.
Well enough negative talk.I always seem to land up talking negatively.Sorry to all other babblers. That is not my intention.I am off now as my lift will be here soon.Toodle pips, Rose :-)
zooz...what ever helps you, de4. positive thoughts are on your way.
and i am out of he4...much to mollyL's delight....xoxox to all who follow. levely grid...
greetings friends
and i am back. xoxox to my beloved pugs.
hugs and love Rose--how are you dear
coasting in the best possible way, pugs
and you my darling??
Iam so sorry Rose so much have been done to you
Im doing okay--just been busy with all the things that need to be done around here---I see I missed zoom, has Sprite been on yet
yes, de4...it would be probalbly nicest to send her an email
I had trouble getting on babble this morning--the server kept saying it was throwing a fit
good morning everyone
Morning Crossy
ooohhh. g'day crossy
Rose, is there anything I can do to help you or do to make you feel better? Please say so friend
pugs, my de4....i have to weather this storm...on my own, with my beloved's help...*sigh * and you, sweetie? what can we, sprite, liz and i, do to help you through this time?
about in the same boat as you there Rose--just knowing you all are here is more then I can ask for--thanks
from your mouth to God's mind....thanx pugs.
and now it is time for an early morning Vrossy tidbit of the day!!... In the news I noticed mention of a fella who's puppy was not feeling well, so he had to take him to the vet. Poor thing was a tad listless and he was off his feed a tad which was a bit of a concern since great danes eat like horses. Anyways, they get the puppy in for x-rays and what do they find?... 47 socks!! The dog, over time had eaten 47 socks!! So they made a small incision and one at a time removed each one and now the pooch is doing fine and eating the owner, who now keeps his socks out of reach, out of house and home once again.
Crossy*
Iam putting all my things to have to do in a bucket and whatever I pull out is what Iam doing until its all done--lol I put up my shed keys before going on my trip and cant remember where I put them--lol
lol, crossy---poor puppy
lol, crossy....saw that in our news....
and here the guy thought the dryer was eating them...
ugh, pugs...i am hoping you will find them soon.
I once found my car keys in the fridge lol
me to Rose--lol Luckly Carol's hubby had a extra key so I was able to get the mower out
how did they get there Crossy-lol
crossy...over he4 it was 43 and 1/2 socks...they still didn't know where the half sock was...
I had carried in a bulky case of pop and had my keys in my other hand, i must of set the keys on the bottom shelf of the fridge when I slid in the case of pop and them forgotten about them
how long did it take you to find them--lol
when i was pregnant with number two son...i found my slippers in the fridge....and the margarine in the oven.
4 hours lol
lol Rose
well, at least you did not find son #1 in the oven
not remembering how many hours later it was.
roflol, crossy
well I have racked my brain to try remembering where I put the darn keys--and so far its a blank--lol
it will come to you when you are thinking of something totally different
lol Crossy- and Rose
pugs, sit quietly...think about the last time you used them....
I will try that Rose--thanks
well, at least you can make a copy from the other key
going to prepare the night-time meds.
true---okay Rose
are you and your wife in school now Crossy
I cannot tell you how many locks I have had to chop open with a pair of bolt cutters over the years:( I buy my locks in bulk:(
thanks for making me feel Iam not the only one on this issue Crossy--lol
yes, puglet and we sent my son back as well. Told him he was not going to spend the next 2 years just laying on the couch and eating all my food, so back he goes as well
great Crossy and wont hurt your son at all. Is your wife enjoying it
My beloved is enjoying it, but is hard at work wrapping her mind around schoolwork once again. You get rusty after 24 years, I know. last year it had been a 33 hiatus for me since I lad sat my but in a classroom
last
33 year*
thats understandable. Are you two taking the same classes
and you are right re: my son. Upgrading his skills will not hurt at all.. lazy slug that he is
No, she is taking a computer course to start with followed by a math or two. I am taking a university writers craft course
maybe he will meet someone there and find a reason to do something with his life and get out on his own. Its nice you all are upgrading your life. Lots of luck to you all.
yes, his compass needs a new direction. It is quite enjoyable and something the mrs and I should have done years ago, but life intervenes sometimes and we raised our son and saw him graduate high school first. Now it is our turn to do some things
Zoom is also back in school and not caring much for it but he's not quit and I also wish him the best as well. Not quiting is a big plus on anything
ahh, very nice. i think he told me that he was taking some mathematics courses
yes he is and he's finding it boring --lol Thats so great Crossy that you and your wife can do this. I wish you both all the best
“If I had done this, if I had said that, in the end you are always more tormented by what you didn't do than what you did, actions already performed can always be rationalized in time, the neglected deed might have changed the world.†― Damon Galgut
crossy quote of the day:)
tyvm pugs:)
nice quote and you are welcome :)
not that my writing will change the world lol
reminds me, i should dust off my blog today and check for visitors..
now you never know that Crossy---positive thinking!
yes!! that million seller is on the tips of my fingers;)
now, thats the mind set to have--lol I will keep watch for that---:)
You will get one of the first signed preview copies:)
thank you! A nice treasure to own for sure
One of Hemingway's signed preview copies of one of his earlier works is up for sale... 22 thousand dollars!!
are you on that list? lol
ahh.. no. That is a bit out of my budget
we are in the fifties this morning--such a nice break from the 80's and 90's
personally I do not see the sense in having something like that. I would buy it, and it would sit under glass and no one would tough it. i would be afraid to actually read the thing.
touch
12c here this morn
one day one of your works might be at such a place in the world.
had to think for a minute to convert.. 54 f lol
this summer has seemed to pass so fast this year
I can only wish
Everyone here found summer slow. All were excited to get the fall season underway.
its something one never knows Crossy--and it might be after you are gone but its possible
That will be the way of it. Die broke and get discovered 2 years after my death so my kid can swim in a ocean of 100 dollar bills in a swimming pool at his mansion lol
hello. back from lunch at Sprite's resto
((ruby))
{{pubs}} haven't seen you in ages.
or even pugs* lol
{{crossy}}
you have a beautiful day Crossy--I need to head out to have coffee with my friends before they head home. Hugs and howdy Ruby--have missed you
and back...g'day pugs, crossy and ruby
I need to see a pub! Been dryer than a popcorn fart in this house lately. Not a blessed drop of adult beverage to be found
you take care puglet. nice chatting with you
I know Ruby--my job and all the going on in my life babbling is hard for me to get to
poor crossy.
tht's awful, crossy, that could never happen around here. Happily, guest usually bring booze and, in the worst case, there is always the cooking sherry or the liqueur-making plain alcohol
bye Rose, and Ruby and Crossy--love and hugs to you all--have a blessed day/evening
and there is always the (awful) wine in the cellar, most of which has turned but which is fine for sangria
It has gotten to the point that my aftershave is looking tasty lol
when I was teaching, there was a school sec'y who used to drink Listerine!\
** thinking i need to send ruby funds to stock the bar before our arrival*
lol! well, at least she always had minty fresh breath
not to worry, Rosie, we'll be well-stocked before your arrival.
byeeee pugs
exactly, crossy, no booze on her breath. Just a little stagger in her walk
Bfurt's daughter brought tequila, but we never got around to doing our shots.....
mayhap my stagger will be due to tiredness...lolol
of course!
darn planet is crokked again! Wish someone would fix that!
crooked
and now i have to say...xoxoxox to you all.catch you tomorrow...
{{{rosie}}}}
good morning everyone
{{river}} hello hello
((Ruby))
when is your next trip?
me? nothing planned
No wonder my computer has been off its feed lately! I forgot to re-install ad-block plus after I did a tidy-up on the computer last week!
howdy river
phantom: egress
Good morning
howdy, sukee
How are you today?
Not too bad. A nice cool morning here but it is going to be a sunny day.
Looks the same here.
I just started taking an online poetry course. Taught by a prof. from the U. of Penn.
Spring and Autumn are my favorite times anyways. bring it on. very Nice sukee. My writers craft course has that otion as well. I have 3 more assingment yet then I get to go through the course and pick two that I like
option
This one starts with Emily Dickinson and Walt Whitman. The course even has essays :)
And... it's free :)
Yup. Just checking the bog book. has an entire section on poetry
free is good. If you are interested, sukee, you can check out some of my poetry work on poetry.com
I like T.S Elliot
Of course you write poetry :) I have written a poem or two, mostly free verse.
I have 9 or 10 poems in there I think
"In the room the women come and go, speaking of Michelangelo" :)
My style is a bit different though. Would love to see what you think of it
I studied English poetry once and found I really like Wordsworth.
Sure, what is your name over there
actually, I may have copies. Would you like me to send some to you direct? one sec sukee, bring up my account. have not bee on there in a while
W words down :)
firing it up now.. computer is slow today
ok, thought so. used my real name there; paul melbourne
Okay, I'll try and find you.
Pages are loading very slowly for me today.
Okay, I found you
yup. I found them. Just use my name in search feature
I love the Babble Haiku :)
:)
as you see I tend to go with function over form
just click the blue buttons to see entire poem
mm, site is being a pain. If you have problems reading them properly let me know. i have a copy and can just send it to you via e-mail
hello
Hi MLF
hi sukee
howdy, mlf
howdy cross
There, now the poems are opening properly:)
First and second column E's help please?

cross can you break it down please?
es+ what you do with food
Lol, I had the right word but I was trying to fit in the Q :)
It's early, that is my excuse :)
Ty crossy
lol
you been nipping at Ruby's cooking sherry?
I wish, my stomach is growling, I think that is it.
Yes, I am overdue for brekkies, but am waiting for all the other lazy sods to get out of bed
got ti ty
Still working on my first coffee and I am supposed to wait an hour after I take my thyroid pill... not that I usually do that.
I have always been an early bird. Day is basically shot for me after 2 pm lol
Darn it, just checked and the Blue Jays lost again.
thanks for the es and good morning everyone
Hi Annie
nbt and nbs
hi there, sukee
Used to have a drink with my buddies at the bar at 02:00 am as they closed the place and after they passed out, i would start my day lol
howdy annie
good morning annie
howdy, crossy
oops
good morning, fan
2nd column C help please?
what you do with food.. again
oops wrong c i suppose, can never tell
that the first colulmn
ce and double plural letter
ce4pool - place full of filth
hi joseph, good clue
my son's room....
ty got it
now i have nbt
c + E***nia, Eastern European country and plural
Got them both, ty cluers :)
cannot get that to work
estonia??
you got it!!!
what is that a clue for annie?
why does it not work..mm
put the C in front, then next 4 letters of the country
That is a different clue crossy than the ce-pool
very odd.. I must be having a mental meltdown with this
i am totally lost
you have to do the plural, the singular doesn't work
joseph can you reclue it please?
got it..finally:)
ty
c, 4 letters of country + plural letter
I swear I think the lawn people are out, on a Sunday morning...
what letter does the country begin with?
E
Crossy mentioned the country name
puglet was set to tear up her lawn earlier lol
estonia?
Si
lol, glad i was not the only one stumbling over that word;)
yes, estonia
I must need a tea..
i am still stumbling over it cross
It twists a weird way
a tea or a stiff brandy...
fan , did you get ce 6 ?
If it helps its Spanish for basket
does anyone have the e's in the secon column
also a ancient greek corset i believe
i need one e in the first column
I clued them about 15 min ago joseph
fan, ce + Rosetta ***ne + plural letter
joseph es 6/7 i think
rats they've gone off the end
Me too MLF, must be the same one
got it
es 6/36 and 7/52
yay
ok thanks
ES + what you do to food when you eat and plural
am i right cross es 6/7?
yup
i need the other e word on first column
Do you have the one that is a unit of work?
ty sukee
i have er4
s
I can see a big CTV hot air balloon, landing nearby
oh that sounds so cool sukee
hi Frances
quick get the lawn darts!
I usually see a couple every weekend.
Lol, not that close :)
have you ever got to go in one
No, I am scared of heights.
I have. You all must put it on your bucket list
Oh, and it's up again.
riding the morning thermals
Every time I think I might try it, there is an accident :)
cross i am so jealous. every year in Iowa they have a big send off of hot air balloons
sukee no you are afraid of falling
Just remember, to put your mind at ease that if the operator messes up, he is going down with you:)
Yes, that is it :)
It's actually coming closer.
is it two ma 8's?
I read somewhere that the skin of a fully inflated hot air balloon can hold 800 pounds of water weight in morning dew condensation alone. As it burns off, the operator must make several adjustments
i saw on a program once tow peopel sitting on the outside of a hot air balloon toasting with champagne
that would be a precarious perch!
OK, not CTV. Looks like the call numbers of a radio station.
you couldnt pay me to do something like that. it even showed them climbing up to get to the top of it
If I went up, I would be sitting on the floor of the basket :)
The mrs and i had the time of our life
lol sukee
cross how long of a balloon ride was it?
After my last cancer I did bungee jumping, did the hot air balloon and flew in a bi-plane :)
was for an hour
the only trouble is the operater being there, i would think that would be awkward for romance
ask him to turn around and look at the scenery for 15 minutes lol
nice ride for an hour:)
Bungee jumping.. NO thank you
Only once for me on that, never again!! Almost peed myself
I know I would have...
I am going to go make some breakfast, the last two Q words will have to wait.
oh, and did the complementary sky-dive at the local airport strapped to an instructor
cross i think that is one of the dumbest adventurous things to do ever!
bye sukee
after spending a total of 5 years having cancer try to kill me, it was not so bad;)
lol cross
a side effect is you lose your fear of trying new things:0
I would try scuba diving, but greenpeace would be getting false alarms all the time:)
"Another call on a beached whale, that guy must be diving again.."
i would love to do that cross but i want to go in that thing that Cameron did when he took his last dive to see what was left of the Titanic
just got the re 6/7
lol,MLF. would not get me in that thing. The one he used to dive the Mariana trench??? no way!
Crossy is a bit claustrophobic...
wherever the Titanic is yes it was a ball i think or sphere they went in?
a regular submarine is fine though
i am always afraid one of those would come apart while diving
If it does, you will not have time to worry about it
i dont swim cross
i mean can't
That is interesting. The US Navy will not let people with claustrophobic tendencies on submarines.
a submersable, at those depths, if it failed you would be crushed to a fine pastes.. no swimming needed
lol I wonder why?
cross ya think?
molly i should hope not
I've been on one, in port, and that was enough for me.
In vacation spots like Jamacia, they have tourist subs with large glass viewport and they run at 20-50 feet so you can see the sights. That is enough for me
does anyone have teh two ge 5/14 words?
kind of interesting cross
I thought my kitchen was small until I saw what a kitchen on a submarine looks like.
one ge is a plural of the one above it and you add a vowel to the word above the other one
there's a 3rd ge 5/14: ge + double cons. + vowel
ge5/14 isn't a plural of ge4/7
luv i have one ending in a vowel
ge 4/7 is a plural
it's a plural of a ge 4/6
sorry gr 4/6
i have that one
i am missing one more g word
see my clue @ 8:01
phew got it ty luv
your clue at 07:59 was painful, Luv lol. I have not listed so have no idea what is above or under who:)
sorry crossy, I was mistaken on one anyways it was a gr not a ge
cross the one ending in a vowel?
though i found the one clued at 08:01 ty
i mean ge 5/14's both end in vowels
the ge's are ge 4/7, ge 5/14 ge 4/6, and ge 5/14
and the gr 5 ends in an s
the ge 4/6 sounds like a visitor in your home and add a vowel to that
ty
are teh MA7's and 8's similar? i have ma 6 7 8 7?
NBT for Crossy
congrats cross
the ma7 of the red death
have three from that group so far
cross does it begin with ma6?
yup
think it is a Poe story as well
and the others seem to be letters of old written by kings so guys like Columbus could take over countries
i think i have the start or complete of the first set of MA 7/8's?
"letters of ma6/30 and pl
one in that group ends with a dbbl cons mlf
ma 8/60
teh ma 8 8 have does not end in a double cons
my 8/60 does
MA 8 sorry
the first ma 8/60 ends in a double consonant
mine is a plural
like I said:)
still hunting for the other...
got the ma8 ending in double cons using Morewords:)
the second ma 8 is a plural
got it ty
be back soon
bye annie
there, lots of nice points with all of that:)
yep
Not that it matters much to me. I think it has been a year or two since I have even peeked at the rankings
i checked it not long ago for the first time in quite a while
angel used to mention it if anybody wanted to look or something?
I h ave 4 ma words that start with the same 6 letters. only one of them is an 8
peri i do too
in the first group, peri, add a dbll cons to make a feminine ending
in the second group, pl the 7/44
RO 7?
I have the ma8 that ends in double consonant
You are not into that second group yet Peri. Think of something you wear to hide your face, spelled differently.
there ya go:)
mlf..i have an ro7/32...is that the one you need?
molly, i have those
oh, ty Molly. Ok, I have a ma6/7 in that second groupd but no ma8
yes please rolin
Probably hard to know "first group" "second group" if you haven't looked at the list
but I do now. ty so much Molly
its ma 8 by itself
it is built off the ro4 to wander
One who does and plural, Peri
ma 6 7 8 7 is that right?
can i have clue for the sc8 pls?
ahh just found the ro 5/16 and 6/27 combo= early version of the game of cricket i belive
ty rolin
what does the third 8 start with pls
Hello everyone
hello car
howdy car
oh is that what it is crossy?...didnt know...just knew the word from babble..lol
isnt it another MA8?
sc Peri
ty Molly, looking
schreech
oops
Rolin, sc8 is a US word used for what you put on a bagel
sorry i know thats wrong lol
It is actually Yiddish, but I don't know if it's used in the UK
ty
ty molly
i can't type anymore words in the grid ..cat is in front of the board blocking it off lol
schmeers
ooops
did that work rolin?
There is the clue of all clues
maybe too well mlf
oh lol
glad you did that, rolin. never heard of the word before
i have heard of it
sc8 has been in grids before
its a great word... very american yiddish
I am sure it has
lots of oddball words make it in here:)
It is kind of native to New York and surrounding areas, but the bagel places around here use it
and not all are real either
next time I am in NY I shall have to remember that
sc7 means to spread in Yiddish
the word reminds me of a dog trying to itch his butt on the carpet by dragging himself and he left a sc8 lol
to spread cream ch6 onto a bagel as in "give me a schmeer" very colorful
Everyone can toss their breakfast bagels now
finall i can type words in the grid
sadly there is no yiddish community in these parts;)
finally
yaa for mlf!
gtg eat something bye
Annie...: D...you used ch6 and spelled out sh7... : D
I love Yiddish words, they are very colorful.
Molly, was away from keyboard...on my way to the PB, sorry
I am washing floors inbetween babbling
No worries Annie, I thought it was funny : D
Ugh, that reminds me. Cleaning the carpets is on my list for this week.
be back later
cross and she did not want me to pet her either
Cats walk their own course and sometimes care not for what we think:)
Hello Crossie, I love the Lily Braun books about the siamese cats.
howdy, christa
Quote for the day: "My heart is afraid that it will have to suffer," the boy told the alchemist one night as they looked up at the moonless sky." Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself. And that no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dreams."
I love that book.
Pure inspiration......
He's on OWN, Super Soul Sunday today being interviewed by Oprah.
Did you know this was only his second book?
...and the title is a phantom here today.
((mimi))
((crossy)) How are you today?
Doing well, mimi and indeedoft times the horrors we dream up ahead of time end up being greater than the eventual reality
I try to put my worries in their own compartments and never pull them out till they need to be examined. drives my beloved nuts as she is a glass is half empty type, and loves to fret, but i am changing her
So true...good thing to learn. I'm having an inner battle today and am trying to do a lot of self-talk to deal with it. I will be successful.
of course you will
One of the (very) few benefits of aging is that when we have a history of success we tend to believe in ourselves more and worry less.
It doesn't help my situation that I tend to be a right fighter, believe me!
how many left fighters are there here?
besides Knighttime :D
Oh, yes...dyslexic right fighters...
that's funny mimi.. some people here don't know left from right :D
...or wrong from right? Now that can be quite a discussion...but not today....not in the mood.
I would not be the person to comment of wrong from right.. almost anything goes for me
I'm right there with you on that one, ruru.
People who speak in terms of "absolutes" frighten me....
there's a t-shirt
Mimi, about Paulo Coelho, I admire someone who can say that much with so few words.
That's what I appreciated about Slingblade molly
The t-shirt I really want to make is one with the word "crap" on it with the red circle with the line drawn through it over the "crap." Since I've often said I've reached my crap quota for life, it would be appropriate.
Yes, Molly...to be concise as well as prophetic..an art.
Ah, Slingblade. I am always emotionally wrung out after watching that movie. A classic.
Molly, do have the OWN channel? You would LOVE this interview/conversation..it is part 1 today and part 2 next Sunday. I think you can also pull it up online.
They also do a beautiful mini-tour of Geneva, where he lives.
No Mimi, I am not an Oprah person
I'm more of a Harpo person
This should be an exception, Molly...trust me.
Oh, you, ruru!
wants to see the episode of Iylana fix my life filmed at Molly's house
Now THAT would be must-see TV!!
Iylana to Molly: "here Molly hold this string" Molly To Iylana.. "put this string...
I'm so glad I got my head out of my ass long enough to appreciate our Molly!
me too.. but I never had my head up my ass though
It's very fragrant.
*prints We Love Molly T-Shirts *
...with my "no more crap" on the back...
LOLOL
Now my day is made...I got LOL from ruru!!!
you got me with that one mimi.. very good
Needed that...tough couple of days emotionally....better now.
wassup>?
I almost didn't join the chat today...glad I did.
Inner struggles...trying to adjust my attitude. I need to switch from a carburetor to a catalytic converter in my head. (Whatever THAT means)
ok..
don't we all have inner struggles though?
Molly hasn't commented on the Iylana Joke.. she's researching who Iylana is
Oh, yes...especially those of us blessed/cursed with awareness.
((Mimi))
ya know mimi.. as I have gotten older .. I am more direct about things and saying what I think, and then you don't have to keep it and bury it
I would be surprised if she didn't already know...Molly has much knowledge--"Gilmore Girls."
((zooz)) So good to see you here!! How goes it?
I think Iylana fix my life would make Molly ill
I am OK, Mimi, Thanks :-)
Just thought I would give you a healing type hug :-)
are you Christ come back to the earth Zooz?
Me, too, ruru. And it helps to have the confidence of self-esteem. My singing has even improved as I've grown as a person...I enjoy it more because I'm not doing it for approval....just for joy.
Thanks, zooz...always appreciated.
*looks at Line of Babblers looking for Healing hugs*
No I am not a religious type person. Just one human being trying to say I care :-)
Hey Dr. God is in the linie
AND WHERE IS THAT HUGE STORM WE WERE SUPPOSED TO GET STARTING YESTERDAY??!!!!
line
and his Server
actually Dr. God's server is in the Line first
And I do enjoy your dry sense of humour, Ruru. Please never stop.It always gives me a chuckle!
:D
Dry, indeed...downright drought-ful.
LOLOL
Teehee!
I'm not religious either Zooz.. in fact I'm an Atheist.. but I love to tease the other side
Now that you guys have cheered me up, going to get tea and get on with the day. Lots of writing to do today. Hugs and smiles....later.
I have noticed via your icon :-)
yeah.. that one is a dead give-away isn't it?
bye mimi.. have a better day today ok?
Toodle pips, Mimi. Nice to see you.
....that icon is exactly how I feel about the entire subject of religion...want some fries with that? Bye.
<--not sure Mimi is really gone yet
she tends to pop in a few more times before really leaving
.....been gone for years, ruru...
LOL
Yes...follow the bouncing Mimi....really leaving now...honest.
that's not the last visit
You're right.....THIS is!! Poink! :))
<---has his Mimi Chops down now
hello
Hello, Ruby :-)
hello zzoozz
Is it hot there?
We've had better weather in September than we had all summer
Yes it has warmed up here too!
Hoping it is going to last for a while :-)
I really like the heat, makes my tired bones feel better
There is that.It also saves a lot on fuel bills which I like lol
and because we had so much rain in the "summer", the grass is green and lush and there are tons of flowers
Yes my garden too is looking OK still with flowers still in bloom. And birds tweeting away in the trees!
Love it :-)
I'm stuck with 56 left. Good night and enjoy the sunshine
Take care, Ruby.Have a lovely evening :-)
Hiyas, kiddos!
Hello, Judi :-)
owns
Sorry. *must remember to change boxes!*
:-)
I can only hope my faux pas was helpful to someone.
not really....it's not a word in the grid... ;o)
Okay. Then I take it all back.
Close though :-)
I have the Ma8. What are the other two 8s??
don't know...would like stats...
Ma8/60. Related ma6 and two ma7s.
yes, i have those...ty....
sc 8/55
Ooh. Ty, ruru!
don't have the other two 8's...
Also another MA8 /60
2 ma8 /60
ty ru...
Can I have a clue for the Sc8, please?
bagels need them in new york
Tyvm. Is that even a real word? Is that even a real Yiddish word?
Yes, it is a real Yiddish word
Ty. And, shalom, Molls!
the whole misbukah is here
Just like bubbeleh and kibitz
Clue for the other Ma8? I have the Ma8/60.
the funniest thing about Yiddish is every jewish person I know spells the same Yiddish word differently
the other ma is an 8/60 too judi
which one do you have
Yiddish is a humorous language. I think all Yiddish words should appear in cartoon bubbles.
lol.. I agree
are both ma6 words from the royalty and the sign?
I have the ma8/60 with the double cons at the end.
no TO
i meantma8, slip of the fingers
ty
the other is mask related Judi
ooohhh tx for all the ma's!!
Does that one use the Q as well?
yes
phantom: the act of conceling one's identity. how apropos.
Gottem. Ty.
une?
oui
is there any truth to the rumor that you've taken up Japanese lessons
no but Kei is supposed to win tomorrow!!
(along with Spanish that is :D)
i am taking chinese....;o)
hello ru, une peng...
I tried taking Japanese in college and failed miserably
saw a bunch of pix of rafa on a yacht with his girlfriend -- get off the yacht and back on the court!!
hi saanich
hi....
more like get off your girlfriend and get back to the court isn't it?
watching the Bryan brothers right now...
Pen has a secret yen for Jackie Chan
worked with a korean gentleman several yrs ago who swore korean would be easy to pick up -- don't believe it!
heh heh...
well, that too, ru
Isn't Jackie Chan Chinese?
dunno
I worked with Koreans once. The only thing I picked up was kimchi. Ew
Yes, Pen is learning Chinese.
ew indeed
wow, have 9 words so far that use the q . . .
I would think the girlfriend would be rough on rafa's knees wouldn't you une?
she must be doing something right -- they've been together for YEARS!
he really wants you Une.. she's just a plaything
she's an Une with trainer wheels
better have high tolerance for OCD behavior!
LOLOL!
true, pen
what do you mean Pen?
OCD?
is Rafa OCD?
rafa shows obsessive compulsive behaviors....
rafa's obsessions -- water bottles in perfect symmetry etc.
oh.. didn't know that
he says he just likes routine, but it appears to be more than that to me....
he should marry my ex wife
good morning, everyone:-)
hi...
morning nan
he does a number of repetitve behaviors
hey nan
A lot of OCD people say "it's just routine"
:-)
exactly...
We play Babble every day. Does that make us OCD? Or BCD?
It makes us gluttons for punishment
In our fridge all the labels had to face outward ..just in case you couldn't tell it is a ketsup bottle or mustard
heh heh...if you have to play a certain way all the time and get really anxious if you can't, then....well....
no.. that makes us addicted judi..it's different
before every serve . . . hair behind left ear, hair behind right ear
I used to work with an OCD person. We took great delight in rearranging her desk after she left for the day.
the water bottle thing is really over the top, i think...
lol...
:P
I wouldn't mind being OCD if I were that handsome
or if you had his money.... ;o0
LOL, Molly. Evil, yet endlessly entertaining.
that too
*Whistles*
he very well might be the best conditioned athelete in the world
Une wants to test his stamina however
jeez, was smelling somrthing that smelled like melting plastic -- scared moi -- turns out it was a lightbulb dying -- whew
bring it on! LOL
HA!!!!!!!
*imagines the scene from Fish Called Wanda*
Yo Quieres ... Une (screams
Wow, you two are really Rafa worshippers
he is one of the greatest of all time molly
'tis true, molly
great player, though i am not a worshipper...
I'm sure he is, as far as tennis goes, but the best conditioned athlete in the world?
Well.. after those epic battles at Wimbledon.. I don't think anyone doubts that Molly
conditioning can be looked at in very different ways....strength, stamina....
nishikori this week was phenomenal....
I was surprised Roger lost too.. I thought he was going to take this tournament
i was disappointed he did not....did not see the match he lost...
nishikori was indeed remarkable
i lost a lot of sleep to watch him, lol....
I played 5 sets in a tournament Molly once.. and thought about going to the hospital afterwards.. Nadal makes it look like he took a jog around the block
try playing five sets and playing until 2 am....
I don't question that the guy is in phenomenal shape. I'm not sure I'd go as far as saying the best conditioned athlete in the world though.
I know .. and at that level unreal
help with es 6/36 please
I can't think of one better Molly.. his accomplishments in those tournaments are super-human
es + what you do to gum
es + masticate...i think that is the word...
all together now . . . "get off the yacht!!!!"
eswad
damn
thank you both
Pen is masticating again
he will go babble blind if he keeps that up
I'd kind of put Adrian Peterson in that category too Molly
heh heh...
Poor Pen. Why does everyone think you are a he?
it's my gray outfit....never liked pink....
cuz she's not pink
sorry pen!
I don't know, the scarf looks pink to me.
np...
I think we should have a color for transvestites too
for the life of me I can't figure out the sa5/6
Oh, you mean the grey icon, handbag, snow hat
sa + fishing equipment harry
ty :) done!
yeah...
congrats harry!
thanks ru, congrats HH!
rainbow colors for our gay friends
congrats, harry!
Black for all our depressed friends
maybe black with a little cloud over the head
Hahahaha...like this place will ever get updated...hahaha
back in a bit . . .
I can't wait for the 9er's game today.. soooo exciting
woohoo....Bryan brothers won their 100th doubles title...
they are amazing those two
yes...inspirational to a doubles player!
I hope the Niners crush Dallas
me too
I can't wait to see Carlos Hyde play and Elliington
I hope the loss sends Jerry Jones back to his hookers
He is such a skeevy man
totally creepy ewwww
Une adopts dogs with teeny-weeny bladders
got to get on with chores, bye til flip, have fun today everyone!
bye saanich.. catch you later hopefully
I have to vacuum today too.. and been putting it off
*Hums the Suzy Homemaker song*
love my new computer... :oD
what did you get? I got a new apple iMac and I love it.
I hate Windows 7
i have an ipad....got a 17 in. Dell laptop....it has a touch screen....Windows 8.1....tiles or traditional desktop...
have heard that from a lot of people, they hate windows 7
that was installed on my new computer
I hear 8.1 is worse too
dpm
don't mind it so far...
Windows 7 is a major pain in the ass
using Chrome and it's very fast....a nice change!
Sounds good, pen, I had a Dell before the mac but I had windows XP which is now obsolete. Just got a call from India asking if I wanted to upgrade my old Dell, told em no
just got a 17 in. Dell laptop with 8.0 but tech guy added start function-- and am also using chrome --- WOW!!
I liked XP.. it was easier
my desktop was a dell with windows XP....it was dying a slow death....
cool, une......only thing i don't like is that the keyboard is not backlit...
i liked xp and that's what i just waved gbye to
my keyboard's backlit
must be a different model...
Une's keyboard has a disco ball
i like the large screen because i can run two screens at once easily....like babble and lickety....
also had to replace old printer -- bank acct's wheezing but 'tiis fun to have new goodies
It's the Dell Donna Summers Series
ru LOL
lol...
didn't think i would like the touch screen but i do...
Once you re-tune 8.1 to resemble XP, it's not bad.
I don't like touch screen. I don't like fingerprints all over my screen.
exactly....
I wonder if touch screen is a problem for people who watch porno?
i don't see them...not yet anyway...
might add to the thrill....
wouldn't be fingerprints though
Ew
lOL
A new way to tell if Junior has been using your computer
HA
Like Riverdance you mean Molly?
didn't her kid get in trouble for that
No way I would share a computer with a young y-chromo
I hear that
i have to tell you -- tech guy finished setting everything up yesterday -- sooo last nite i was totally engrossed in looking at all the features, being able to speeeed along on various websites, etc. -- then i glanced down and saw that i had a half-eaten tootsie roll pop sticking to the front of my shirt -- no telling how long it had been there LOL!!!
When my kids were old enough to want cell phones and computers, they were old enough to get jobs and pay for them themselves.
LOL une
Oh Une, he is going to be telling stories about you for years.
:-)
was it licked or eaten?
oh it was post-tech guy
half eaten
*bets une stuck gum under her seat at school too*
good luck with the win 8 -- I updated to 8.1 (free download) then did the conversion to make the desktop resemble win 7 -- much better now
oh we weren't allowed to ch** gum!!
why did they make you walk a lot?
I just wish Microsoft would quit moving everything around.
:D
did you go to catholic school une?
*Sends Une a bib*
ha
nooooo
oh
I wonder who the idiot at ms was that decided we'd all like something resembling an i pad with all the apps not everyone wants. If I had wanted an i pad I would have bought an i pad.
*tried to picture Une in a plaid dress outfit*
Amen Nan!
Sorry Ru, I was the one in the plaid skirt.
Microsoft is soooo out of touch
oh.. well then...that explains a lot :P
I would have been a lousy catholic
worst thing about windows 8 is having to get rid of all the crapware that is preloaded....
i was so stoopid about catholicism (lived in small southern hole in the wall) when the catholic priest offered latin lessons at the church after school, i walked in expecting to be greeted by a clone of the pope! LOL
i wore plaid! :-)
laundry...brb to find my last ten ....
crapware like ONe Note?
I hate ONe note.. had it disabled
priest was wearing jeans and a black tee -- i was stunned!
what's one note?
it's in Windows 7..
I print a lot of attachments and it interferes with that process
I have no Idea why it is in there.. it is really annoying
I have found that no matter what the system, you have to tailor it to your likes and dislikes. And you want annoying? Try the stupid charms bar in 8.1. And there is no way to disable it.
what's it supposed to do?
speaking of preloaded crap -- anyone figured out how to get rid of optimum pro?
what's a Charms Bar?
charms?
It's a side task bar that pops up every time your cursor goes near the sides or corners of the screen.
last Charms Bar I went to had a big cover charge :D
oohhhh
help with sc 6/27 please
sc 6/27 to plot in ITalian
colour sc 6 - change last vowel
thank you
Ah, it's September. And I am back to wearing the pained look of a Redskins fan.
they'll be a lot better this year molly.. have faith
who are they playing today?
Houston, and it's Bozoball.
oh jeez.. that's a pretty tough defense
And Arian Foster is the real deal
Especially when your offense is playing like the team from P.S. 151
sc 7-8, please?
sc7 a bagel with cream ch5 nan
there is a special name for a bagel with cream cheese? - I suppose another jewish word -- no idea
think of how you put it on...
with a knife?
oh - ok - got it. ty pen
yw...

And now it is time for Crossy's tidbit of the day!! today I wish to share with you some of the most skillful knife work in a kitchen that I have seen in a long time! http://tinyurl.com/mz2qwx6
amazing, crossy!
I thought so as well:)
I used to think that my knives were sharp... I was wrong:)
yup...
Hahaha...every time someone uses the term "yup", I am reminded of a collection of photographs called "Yup, That's A Redneck" http://tinyurl.com/q5hugyb

hello, babblers.
Interesting... I have been using the Google Ad-block and Ad-Block Plus in conjunction with Stumble Upon and random web investigations for well over 6 years now. Up until the last year or two, the total ads blocked on a typical stumble Upon site has been 25-200, and accounts for banner ad, pop-up ads, as well as side-bar ads that vary every time you long on, depending on you internet surfing history. However, in the last 6 months I have seen the total of ads blocked per visit soar to over 500 junk ads per visit!! No wonder our computers bog down on us without ad protection!
log on*
HI all :)
howdy liz
Hi Crossy - that's quite a statistic!
I was just watching the number skyrocket here as ad-block was stopping them. I had never noticed till now how high they were getting!
I had a go at removing all the ads around my fb page - succeeded! But went to the UK and by the time I came back, so had more ads, so I gave up!
you use chrome?
I use a mac - use safari. Hubby uses start page and has no ads.
ahh ok then. I do not now what the ad block plug-in are for a mac
know*
It's not too bad though and I clean-up quite regularly.
I have never owned a mac. I like being able to open up the side of my rig and tear the guts out of them if needed:)
We've been totally mac for about 3 years now - wouldn't go back.
But if you're into the mechanics, I can understand what you're saying.
I've been on mac air now for about 4 years - can't imagine going back to a hard drive - so slow
For example, had a cpu fan fail last month. Opened the side of the tower.. 30 seconds.. removed defective fan 1 minute,, went down to store got new fans.. cost 4 dollars time 5 minutes, put new fan in.. 1 minutes total down time less than 30 minutes and cost less that 10 bucks:)
mac air was our last purchase before we travelled to Canada / Alaska last year - to download all the thousands of pics we took!
but i would loooove a nice solid state hdd;)
amazing, isn't it, liz?
easy to get spoiled
Love it. Also my iPad and my phone too. Feel very spoiled :)
that si one thing i will gove them. nothing kicks butt like a solid state drive.
give
lol, my hard rive still sounds like a jet engine coming up to speed;))
drive
I noticed the difference in noise and in the heat that was coming out too!
As well as the speed and the intuitive use.
yes, no moving parts often = less heat
I just love no start up time, instantly up
and the small form factor means better air circulation
Just love it - full stop!
my hard drive phones E.T first then starts up:)
My phone contract expires next May - will be interested to see new iPhone, with larger screen.
which one do you have now, liz?
5
I cannot wait for my phone contract to expire. Did the math and the cost for the luxury is just insane.
mine expires next dec
longest 3 years of my life:(
We have an amazing package - includes phones, cable TV and broadband.
me too - went from the 3s to the 5, skipped 5s, will likely get 6 since my screen is broken and all
not going to have a cell phone, cross?
lots of competition herer for providers right now, esp for multiple lines.
the 5 was my first iPhone - never saw the need for a smart phone - now can't live without it!
I will get a pay-as- you- go phone and I did the math and will save almost 1000 dollars per year
whoa!
I barely pay $1000/yr
That's a huge saving.
how can it be that much, cross?
our provider have a death grip on the market: Rogers, bell canada, and sprint
I am paing 100 per month+tax for two smart phones
paying
(I have a huge data plan since I tether to it quite a bit, and mine isn't as much as yours)
so 1300 a year, give or take
I use att
Got to go empty a wall unit of glasses. Hubby renovating! Enjoy your evenings.

Im with virgin mobile canada crossy...a bit better rates
well, we shall see what ayear brings. My phone is in fine shape and i will not need to sell my soul for the latest greatest model,so it will be interesting to see what plan they come up with
my 4s model runs as fine as the day I first got it:)
and the idea of walking around with a "phablet" does not do it for me:)
fw
thing would pull my pants down if i put it in my pocket lol
Oh i will be getting new apple stuff next week...but not my phone...i have the first 5 version and it works good enough
yaaa for kje!
must run - hagn all
saw some girl in class pull out this monster of a smart phone and at first i thought she was holding her tablet up to the side of her head:)
Samsung...too big to even hold right
yes, was samsung
Cero
Crazy ass thing
not for me ty
Me either..and its sad but i really like apple
I will make it my mission to see how long I can make this 4s last. it will all depend on battery degradation and storage capacity over time. They typicall lose 30% after 3 years
Well fortunately i just got a free battery replacement on my phone...so mine is like brwnd new even tho its over 2 years old now
very nice:)
Yup..i though so :)
The pros say do not just continually "top up" your phone. totally drain it at least once a week for optimum battery life
Yup..i dont purposely do that...it just happens
yes, we are all guilty of that
grrr, two words are being obstinate a nd refusing to come out.
greetings all
scintillating conversation!
Silence? :P
um, yup!
scintillating silence, then LOL

Well yeah... could be much worse. And hi, Diane. :)
I haven't seen you in ages, Neil.... I hope your life is going well.
Very well thanks... been super busy.
I think your brother is doing VERY well also!
Yeah... he's been having fun. Maybe even nearly as much fun as I have! :P
All good !
Yeah. Except I'm too tired for anything this evening. Can't stop yawning and nodding off. Time for bed soon before I pass out on my keyboard.
But if I go this early I'll be up at 2am. :P
And I just got back to the grid and finished it after a busy day; time to relax and watch some TV with hubby. Enjoy the game, if you can stay awake !!
night night, everyone.
Nice... congrats, Diane. And good night.

HI ALL. ANY CLUES FOR THE 8S? just trying now to do some grid.
is anyone there to give clues? need clues for the 8s please.
hi all. it says 75 players are on line. anyone of you have any clues for the 8s? i dont have any of them yet.
hi mkg, sorry I was multi-tasking
both ma8's are plurals. think when you're name is in lights, it's on a ma7, and noodle around from there
Then think if a raccoon was born without spots on his eyes, she might go to a shop and buy a ma6 from a ma7
for sc7, pluralize a yiddish word, think how you would spread cheese on your bagel
jane got the name in lights place and it is a 7. no S nearby. also the raccoon ma**** is a 6 and plural a 7. sorry.
sc is indeed an 8. ty.
the person the raccoon BUYS the ma from is also ma7
on the other one, add a double letter to the end
hmmm will search. ty.
ma7 has a double vowell, ma 8 has a double consonant
take me seriously when i say noodle around.
ty jane. got ma the raccoon one. looking for other. ty.
the name in lights clue: i am trying but if i put the double vowel at the end then no S is near. so i am confused.
ok, so put a double consonant on one, and a double vowel on the other one.....
got it! double cons. not double vowel. super great.
ty ty
there IS one with a double consonant on the end. Really there is!
the 7 has the double vowel and the 8 has double cons.
ty
ty
no, there is a 7 with a double vowel. it can't be pluralized
oh yah, what you just said....
well got all the 8s so i am in good shape.
so do you have all the 8's now?
only missing the C word for top row second c. any clues jane?
got all 8s. ty jane.
that second C on top line is stumping me.
cews
oops.
I have it, lemme try to figure out which one it is
Think about using your teeth when eating
ce 4/5 and ce6/21
ch 4 and 5 is from first C. ty.
cest
oops. ty.
c3 6/21 - ce + first part of what you cook on + plural letter
got the ce 4. is the 6 first same 4 letters?
no, mkg
ty i got both C words from that C. ty ty and goodnight.
da6?
Delilah cut his hair, minus the s
thanks
sw5 please? my last word!
plural Kari
swots
oops
yep
ty!
you did it !!
overthinking that whole time and it was right under my nose.
I hate when that happens
hey kari.. try swots
hey ruru
hiya westie.. how are you?
