todays grid is not an easy grid - just do as much as you can - I find that each day I learn new words that I can spot in future grids

rule of thumb - add endings - -s, -d, -er, -ing - after i get a word i also look for rhyming words

I have excess calcium in my blood. They suspect a growth on the parathyroid but I have more tests to have. before I see the consultant on 22nd may

Jaxx, I sure hope it is an easy fix. On the good side, does the extra calcium mean you have good strong bones?
It has been warm here too but this evening the temp has dropped a bit. The flowers are out and the birds are pairing off so I hope it all keeps going, no sudden frosts.
I do, Bugs, though I shouldn't have as the calcium has to come from somewhere. if I delay the op I could develop kidney stones so I won't be delaying as Kidney stones are painful.

I have never had them but I understand that kidney stones are the worst pain so I am with you to get going on the fix.

no.. not unless you're one of the types who gets sleepy on benedryl.. it blocks the histamines in red wines which causes many people headaches.

very easily if you know you will have a migraine in the morning.
some people do get sleepy on Benedryl .. so be careful of that.. don't drive any heavy equipment etc :D

Jaxx, I'm interested in your condition - had the same thing a few years ago - suddenly developed kidney stones which blocked the ureter when passing -had to be blasted away and a stent put in. This happened 4 times. Then had 2 parathyroids and half the thyroid removed. Easy. No more stones. Go for it!

No, that is the next step. Anuclear one next week and an ultrasound one a fortnight later. I was interested to hear about the thyroid being involved as well. I had multicysts in my thyroid when I was (much) younger.

The radiology showed a node in my thyroid - needle biopsy proved it benign but surgeon said best removed anyway.
