i wanted to explain why i am not panicking about the central sleep apnoea. it's because even when i am not pulling the air into my lungs, the machine pushes air through the lung tissue barrier into my bloodstream.
the longest episode was 17 seconds. not too long. if they become longer i will certainly be asking questions.
yeah I know, darling. But I wasn't sure about what you said about the machine not being able to diagnose some episodes. Does it still work when it doesn't know what's up?

when i first tried a machine which lowered and increased the pressure when an event happened i woke up exhausted again. that is why i have the machine set on continuous. the machines do not change the air pressure for hypopneas which is the other type of episode i have. and i have way too many in a row to have variable pressure set.
and i will be discussing the 'unknown' episodes with my gp.

There is a blister right on the large muscle. I don't know if you know but I have shingles.
The rash on my back is not bad but just where it is located.
oh no sukee. how ghastly for you. it is such a dreadfully painful disease. how long have you had them?
Well, pain for 2 weeks, the rash for 1 week.
oh how painful! And not easily treated either.
I got meds in time to stop is spreading. It's mostly on my bra line on the front and back.

They gave me an anti-viral which they say should be given within 72 hours of the rash, I went to emergency as soon as I saw a rash starting. They also gave me pain pills that are helping for most of the time and I take Advil 3 times a day too.

I went out without a bra for the first time last week :) I dont' car what people think.
It's just the pain killers seem to run out in the middle of the night.

yeah, good idea to ask the doctor. But usually there is a margin.. when they say 3 times a day, you can safely take 4 times.
I wish they had given me more oxycodone/tylenol mix, those worked great. They only gave me 16 and they are always concerned about oxycodone I guess.

yeah, they are afraid of you becoming dependent on them. It is rotten stuff. But very very effective.
okay, you can take 16oomgs in 24 hours, for a short period. in other words for only a few days at a time
so if the pain does wake you through the night, start your 6 hour count from then.
I had to cancel a writing brief I had this month because I just can't sit at the computer for long.

yeah, focus on getting well again, sukee. All the rest will simply have to wait. Forcing yourself to sit and suffer is not the way to go.
One good thing is the rash does seem to be lessening and there has been no weeping that I have noticed. I only have two blisters that have not burst or disappeared. They are the ones causing pain

maybe not an icepack, but just a cool pack? put a wet towel in the fridge for an hour, wrap it in plastic and a dishtowel, and then put it on your back?

Interesting tidbit of the day there is one highway in the U.S that is actually in metric and uses kilometers it is Interstate #19 from Tucson, Arizona, down to Mexico. it is the last holdover for the failed attempt to integrate the metric system into the United states.
