Howdy - how are you doin', Rose? I have 45 left and shall have to list, I think. I still don't have the lone I nor either of the two Ns in the right hand corner
doing okay thanx matty and you dear?
I'm ok - a little fed up since I'm...er....between jobs. But other than that, well.
not good dear. anything on the horizon?
I had a bunch of irons but they've melted. I am lucky in that I have funds (sadly because my mum died) but I'm getting a bit stir crazy!
You don't happen to have the stats for the lone I in the third column, do you?
totally understand matty.

Thank you kindly :)

Good morning everybody:)

Thanks for the mo 8 - now stuck on what is probably straightforward - in 5/10 ?
oh dear gran. in + sun***, goes down
good morning all... or afternoon even!
Got that one
Still morning (just) here
a good morning to you then, matty :)
How are you feeling today?
That's the only in5, Gran
pretty good. Slept well, eating was ok yesterday too, all progressing nicely. How are you doing, matty?
I haven't stabbed anyone nor set anyone on fire, so I call that a win! I am meeting a friend for lunch today, which'll be nice. There will be traffic chaos for the next month and a half or so because of the Rugby World Cup (I live 2.5 miles from Twickenham Stadium)
oh, that counts for a good day indeed, lol! And ugh, very unpleasant, all that chaos around your home.
{{hugs}} and good morning dearest sprite.
The main road near it (the A316) will be shut before, during and after each match. It will be a right royal pain
how was your night? and how was yesterday? is all well still, honey?
*hugs rose* Hello dear friend, a very good evening to you. How are you feeling today?
yes, all is well here. Had a friend visiting this morning, enjoyed her company! Slept well, eating is ok, all cool.
the local anaesthetic has worn off in my left hip. very stingy.
aw that is painful :( *healing vibes*
how lovely that you have had a visitor. will stop some of the stir craziness. maybe it is catchy from matty... lolll
lolol
:D
Is the re7 and re8 related at all to the re6 before it?
no. Though close in form.
Good morning
morning sukee :)
Aah - never mind - found it :D
good :)
Going to the gym for the first time in almost 2 weeks.
wow nice going, sukee. I am starting again after 4 weeks too, next week.
Still in pain today but it will lessen once the pills kick in :)
did you get good medicines now?
The pain killer I have seems to work when combined with Advil.
One is for the nerve pain, the other for the imflammation.
ah ok. I am glad something helps to ease the pain a little.
nerve pain is the worst.
I slept through most of last night, woke up around 5:00.
The pain seem to radiate to my back, and it feels like there is a knife in it.
that is at least some progress. I hope you will be able to sleep through the night soon
it is awful to be in pain :( *very gentle hugs*
Oh well, I have been going to bed around 9 and reading so it's not so bad.
Yes it is :)
Anyway, I have to go get ready. Take care.
you too, all the best :)
back. all done and dusted here. sukee, gentle hug for you dear. you have my utmost empathy for the nerve pain. it is the most annoying pain ever.
amen to that
sprite i won't be here tomorrow. we are going out for dinner. don's street theatre group from when he was in his teens get together once/year just to keep in touch.
oh how lovely, darling, sounds like fun! You go and enjoy yourself. And take care :)
i will. i hope i catch you on sunday.
that would be nice.
what are your plans for the next couple of days?
and i keep forgetting to ask... how is DH's sore foot and knee? and te5's ears?? are they better?
te5 is all good now, legs and ear have healed and eyes are going well with the eye drops now. My love still has a sore foot, knee is better though. He is very busy helping out as volunteer with the housing of refugees in amsterdam.
what a wonderful man he is, sprite. please give him a hug from me. australia is expecting the first refugees to arrive just before christmas. poor darlings!!
I don't have many plans. Will visit our neighbours tomorrow morning, bringing them a little gift for their baby ( I crocheted a blanket and a... what is the word... a stuffed doll to cuddle with). Bit of house cleaning and laundry. Next thursday we get friends of tim's who come to dinner.
slowly, slowly, my darling. don't make yourself sick by trying to do too much.
lol my love wasn't home at dinner last night because he had to bring towels... then went to bed around 8 pm, he was so tired... then came downstairs all dressed again at 11 pm, they had called him because there were no blankets. So he went and brought them... and now he is there again too. He IS a wonderful man.
yeah am taking it easy still. I rest a lot, sitting crocheting and watching tv.
good for you honey. i am so proud of you. i know as well as you do, that taking these slow and steady steps now are the hardest.
too true. Very frustrating. But I am doing well so far, I have a lot of inner peace.
that is such good news, sprite.
:) Took a lot of hard work for a lot of years, but the results are worth it, right? You will get there too, as soon as the stress of workcover and lawsuit and benefit are over.
looking forward to that time, honey.
so am I, darling. I so wish it for you. I also wish there were an easier way to get there, but there isn't... you have to keep jumping through hoops until it is done, alas. But you are so incredibly strong, you will make it.
fireflies. Easy grid today.
a big *hug* for you, and take it easy, ok? Your body needs to recuperate from the overtaxing you did. Takes a couple of days.
WTG SPRITE!!!! xoxox for you, sweetie

Hello Annie & Scrabs
Ty, grant for the mo8 :)
Hi Lynxxx and Crossy.
Howdy, scrabby :)
Hello Everyone
Hi River, How was your trip?
It was awesome. Sorry Crossy we were not able to make it up to you.
I am sorry as well, Riverdance. The star just did not align to make it happen :(
I haven't walked that much in years....thank god this hip held out. We went to see 2 plays. She gave a tour of her University. We spent time on her beach. It was wonderful getting to know each other.
You girls had such a tight schedule that all it would have been was some fast lunch in some town on the highway, and I did not want that.
It looked like you and Carleekat had a blast!
and IndiaJan met us for dinner one night.
Sounds like a great time was had by all. Very nice.
We sure did! All we had free was Sunday and we were so exhausted not getting in until 1 am from the play in Stratford. They of course we talked until almost 4 am....lol!
That is why I leaft you girls to it:)
left
I will go back some day.....
You come visit me me and I will need 3/4 of a day:)
it was just getting there that was ridiculous....saw 4 airports each way.
And air travel sucks.
each flight was good and short but wait time was crazy especially coming home. I think I was in Laguardia for 5 hours
the airport in Sarnia was so cute - one room only. Only small planes can go in (one seat on each side.) I think there were only 9 of us on the flight there. Maybe 15 on the way out. 4 flights a day leave there.
But you did it and had a wonderful vacation.
Canada does not have the stand up x-ray security machines like we do so it was pat down for me.......what fun!
of course my bionics set off their security
Your new hip, right?
thats it....
hello...stats for the lone I? please
in 4/4
ty River
I was so proud of myself earlier getting the 9 all by myself
I prefer the pat-down. As a cancer survivor, I have had many x-rays over the years. The "scatter" type machines at airports are very strong and i think they are not maintained with the exactitude and care that hospital machine are. So pat me down.
I would love a detailed patdown by a hot TSA guy.
never thought of that
Naughty Scrabby
me too but they kept calling the woman to do it....damn!
I begged and pleaded but no go....
haven't seen any HOT tsa guys.
there was one cutie in Toronto
True, phaeton. They are guys I do not want to get near.
And the women are all East German ex-Olympians from the 80's..
lol
they pick me up and shake me like a rag doll
now doesn't that sound like a real man? lol
Good hearty peasant stock a la steroids:)
TSA employees are not pulled from the same group as law enforcement officers.
I think most of them are illegals...they seem to get the jobs
Not the most qualified employees, but that is rampant in the world, isn't it?
We had one that was actually friendly in Portland, OR
I found the hand wand thing interesting.....they did not do that last year when I flew to Ireland.
I have to say they were all friendly at all 4 airports.
I was scanned with a wand for my pediatrics board exam 2 years ago. And I had to pull up my sleeves and pants, empty my pockets...
my joy must have shined through....
Haha
wow - many cheaters up there?
I am so stuck on this grid with 34 to go
Early in my career the exams were done at home, "open book." Now very high security.
I have found just 31 and do not see much yet.
I didnt think you needed to take them over again
Now I must get ready for my day. Errands this morning, then working the afternoon, and on call til Monday 0800.
yikes....have a great day!

i under the s is in4/4, the dolphin
I don't have the n on the top row either
ty sue. searching for dolphin

in + two vowels
it's a fresh-water (river) dolphin
also I found an n, ni5/10, ni + a heavy weight
ty for ni words. got both.
i still dont have dolphin. tried in and two vowels. no luck. tried google: fresh water dolphins and got several but no in** .
third letter is the same as the first
just got the dolphin word. ty. but now will try google again.
ty
I think it's one of those words that nobody actually uses
anyway I am off now for a bit, good to see you, mkg!
ty. amazingly google only refers to this term as the scientific genus. weird. ty for the clues.
bye sue.
oh dear, one last tile with no words: any clues for the N bottom right corner?
any clues for N words bottom right tile for grid?
off to work now. ty for all.
morning kids
hi jes
how's it, blah?
it's going jes, and you?
if things go as planned, i'll be hauling the 'yotes up a mountain and releasing them today :)
wow! that sounds exciting.
yens
sorry
the exciting part's going to be getting them in kennels.. i drugged their breakfast, we'll see if that slows them down any.
hope their breakfast was not your chickens ;)
nah. went with a can of dog food because that's easier to shove pills in. I have not fed them chickens... turkeys, rabbits, a fawn, a rat, a bunch of little birds, and a couple moles.
Greetings, Babblers!
hiya judi!
morning, Judy
sorry, Judi
Raising wild dogs, jes?
Coyotes are adorable babies, Judi
Oh, how sweet. What a neat experience for you.
she's adopting a pack of hyenas after these guys get places
not actually - it's very frustrating. I only got them a week ago; before that, someone had been keeping them in her barn, feeding them puppy chow. NOT a good way to prep them for surviving the winter in the wild.
oh, man. hyenas are FABULOUS
unlikely to show up in my area though.
Eeech. Hyenas are gross.
you kidding me.. in your area you never know
heh. true, but if they show up here, it's because someone imported them, and I wouldn't be releasing them to the wild.
I do have to wonder what the plan is if the woman with the tigers dies though...
why do you think hyenas are gross, Judi?
They are just nasty animals.
hah. most large carnivores are 'nasty'. what makes hyenas different? they're fascinating - a feline predecessor that went through convergent evolution to look SO close to a canine that most people think they're canines.
interesting jes, i did not know that
they're badass enough to stand off lions, and you've gotta love a critter with a reputation for brutal matriarchy, right?
plus judi... they laugh at anything
THis is true. Good audience plants for lackluster comedians.
On behalf of the Knights in this grid, I say, "Nee!"
I am stuck at 24 left.. not budging
59 left and slowing down
I've got 105 left....
10 left and as stuck as a stuck thing
Off to lunch. *POOF*
have fun, judi
Down to five left. And stuck
like a stuck thing? :D
Three left...and as stuck as a stuck thing, yes Jes ;)
23.. sloooow going
i keep thinking i'm gonna get nbt, then i look again and somehow all the words have disappeared from eyt another e.
Two now - can you help? Si6/18 and se6/18?
ex 5 ?

Way to go, PeriRu
Just one left - se6/18!?
se 6 a tiny Italian senator
:D molly
Good clue Ru : D
Very good!
I love the clue and the mental image but I've not (yet) found the word. It's doubly frustrating as I know the first three (possibly 4) letters and feel like I've tried every possible combination
you apparently haven't tried them all matty
Clearly ;)
Got it. Could have sworn I tried it. Obviously I hadn't. Fireworks for me
Love the RuClue
thanks.. good going.. it's a tough grid
Congrats Matty
grats, matty!
although it would have been cupcake for some players :D
not me.
me neither
and i'm off to try and wrangle 'yotes; 86 words to go.

Good Afternoon. This has been a fun grid but now I'm slowing down; how is it going for you?
Hi Nef, and anyone else here :-)
It looks like there are lots of people here; just noone who feels talkative right now, Soodle!
How are you ( I rarely am online at this time, haven't seen you for a while)
And that's OK, Nef! I seldom feel like chatting these days.
(love your icon, I know quite a few people who need that!) ;-)
(((Soodle))) Last time I talked with you, you'd had some bad news. :-(
I'm OK. Have had a very nasty dose of shingles. I see Sukee has it as well. I hope it's not contagious!
How are YOU doing Nef?
Supposedly, it isn't. But pregnant nurses were never allowed to care for patients with shingles back when I worked in hospitals
Well, it's unlikely to be passed along over the internet. That would be taking computer viruses a tad too far! Lol
I'm hanging in there, Soodles. I need a new knee, but am trying to hold off on itfor a while (but that isn't working too well.
LOL!
I hear you, Nef. I'd avoid elective surgery too. But that could be because I'm a coward! Sorry to hear you are having knee trouble.
If a person has had Chicken Pox, There's an extremely high chance that they will get Shingles later in life. I've been wondering if the vaccine will prevent Shingles when those kids are old (haven't looked it up to find out; it's just one of those things that drift through my mind when I'm not near a computer)
Benjamin Button got it right. We should all be born old & decrepid, and work our way towards rude good health & finish our lives on a high.... As an orgasm!!
It's just arthritis taking a toll on my joints. As DH's great uncle used to say "Those Ritis Boys are a real pain, but that art is the worst>"
Great idea! :-D
Bwah ha ha!!! Unk was spot on!
He was a cantankerous old guy, I absolutely loved him! (He lived until 97, I think his view on life kept him going
for some reason, my word box is really slow at adding words today. I haven't gotten the dreaded red box of death yet; and chog is working fine; but there is such a lag onthe add word box I keep thinking I've mis-spelled the word
oh boy! I am very familiar with cantankerous old codgers! My Dad is 87 - in a nursing home, which he hates with every fibre of his being - and reminds me every time I visit him! My word box is also very slow - but that's because I'm slow at finding words!
LOL! Be thankful you still have your Dad; and thank goodness he has the sense to know where he is & that he hates it there. (after all, you really wouldn't like him to LOVE it would you?
I have 40 words left & had to go to Likety when I hit 55 left.
If you'd like clues, I'll try to help
Very true, Nef! Well pointed out! I'll try to remember that when I see him tomorrow & he's accusing me of 'incarcerating' him!
LOL! The AUnt who raised me was very angry that we had to put her in the nursing home (it was in our home town, I'd worked there as a teenager). Once she got settled, she loved it -but she only lived about 5 months after that.
Not at all, Nef, but thank you. I never actually expect to finish a grid. I only come on for the company! It's a bonus when I can have a one-to-one chat with a nice Babbler!!
She'd been a teacher & also County Superintendant of schools (for 30 years) in the area; anyone who came to see their relatives also stopped to see their old teacher!
may I horn in on your nice little chat?
Hi Kate. you are welcome to join
come on in, Kate! The atmosphere is good! :-)
lol.. kind of tired again, sonot much f a conversationalist these days..
nice to see you both, I rearely see you any more...
Call it 'Selective Chatting' on my part, Kate!
I hear you, Soodle; but mostof the time I don't get online until the evenings these days
I had chicken pox as a child... so not looking forward tf possibly getting shingles.. there seems to be an epidemic... rarely used to hear of anyone getting it. I should look into the newer vaccines they have for shingles prevention..
silly soodles.. if you don't speak up once in a while, you'll never know what wonderful lurker you may pull out of the woodwork..
The shingle prevention vaccine isn't offered by most doctors until a person is over 60 or 65, Kate.
really? I will check on it, but thopught anyone could get it here... heading to pharmacy today, wil ask...
And unfortunately, Shingles have always been around. I just don't think people talked about their health problems as openly as they do now-a-days. (Plus the internet increases our awareness of it; we would never have heard of someone iin another country having it before
true nef... but prior to this "outbreak" I only ever knew one person who got them.. and they were in their early 30's at the time...
My elder nephew got shingles at age 12. I was 13 when i got chicken pox. Been thinking it's likely time to start vaccination for myself.
my dr.refuses to believe i never had chicken pox. he is pushing the shingles vaccine, but perhaps i need the chicken pox vaccine instead?
Kate - take whatever steps are on offer to avoid shingles. Seriously. I got it around my mouth area. It's painful & extremely unsightly. (Typical woman! I can handle the pain, but if I look ugly.....I hide in my bedroom for weeks on end).
i thought they were one and the same vaccine.
my grandfather and my dad both got shingles.
they are called two different names then. I don't see why that would be.
In the US, you don't have to be 65.....i got mine maybe four years ago....
why call it one thing for kids and another for adults?
I worked as a County Health Nurse back in my home county in the early 70's; I saw some horrible cases back then. Luckily, now-a-days they have the meds that will stop it from spreading or getting really bad if caught in the first day or so
I think you are right TO.. they are different vaccines
it's not the same as chicken pox, i don't think....one just makes you more vulnerable to get the other...
ah, different indeed. Just went and read about them at CDC.
The shingles virus is also associated with (alarmingly) the herpes virus. I am very prone to cold-sores -herpes simplex.
The virus that causes shingles is varicella zoster; it causes the chicken pox and then hides in the nerve roots
i am loath to introduce it into my body. if the virus is the same. are kids who are vaccinated then at ris for shingles later?
chicken pox/ shingles virus is not the same virus that causes cold sores or herpes
TO, you can have the doctor check your blood for a titer level. If you've had chicken pox; it shows up in a blood test
whatever ... it is still very painful and I wouldnt wish it on anyone ... having suffered it.
nef: I DID NOT HAVE CHICKEN POX I KNOW THIS FOR SURE>
There is an association, though, Nef. Or so I was led to believe. But enough of me & my woes!! Nice to see ye, Seain, TO, Pen & Mo!
NO ONE BELIEVES ME< IT IS TOTALLY FRUSTRATING>
hi all .. just poked my nose in!!
I was sure my daughter didn't have chicken pox either TO; but her titers are positive for it. (She probably had a low-level exposure that triggered an immune response to it)
i remember. i got measles and mumps, never had rubella or pox
*I* believe you, TO. But because of my daughter, I wanted you to know that
nef: i had a younger brother. we gor everything together. he did not get pox until he was a father, caught it from his kid.
nor did he have rubella.
TO, here's the vaccine safety data from CDC: http://tinyurl.com/pzvlpf2
I had chicken pox as a child (my sister & I broke out on a train while moving to montana as a child); and I had them again as an adult in 1984.
Thanks Seain
does this address giving it to people who have never had the disease?
In other news.... The town I live in, Trim, Co. Meath, has just been announced as the winner of a European competition called Entente Florale! Apparently, our little town has the most pleasing flower displays in all of Europe. There will be singing & dancing in the streets tonight!
you can get chicken px a second time??? <shudder >
very nice, soodle!
Well done to your town Soodles, quite an accomplishment!
then it makes no difference, one cannot build immunity if the disease can be had more than once, why would a vaccine work? that is not logical.
oh yes, popping out of lurkdom to assure you you can have it twice
So when I had the chicken pox as an adult, my daughter was 2 or 3 & she *was* exposed (as was her brother, & he caught them form me); but she never got even slightly itchy or and vesicles
it has to do with the severity of the first case.
have a good time soodle and congratulations for winning!!!!!
then why vaccinate?
yes,,, if you get the vaccine the second case might not be as bad
ty for your concern.
I got the vaccine did not want a second round of shingles
I had everything there wasn't a vaccine for when I was a kid.. measles (both), mumps, chicken pox... hated them all... chicken pos left me with one small scar where I scratched..remember having to stay in hte dark with the measles, so I couldn't even read...
TO, the vaccine didn't exist when I was little. I had the worlds mildest case and then the worlds second-mildest case (my poor sister had it pretty bad).
bbl
Vaccinations work against infections. Shingles & chicken-pox are caused by viruses.
however, if the vaccine existed, i'd have gotten that instead. It's a regulated dose (of course) so there's no concern with having "mild" cases and getting it again
bye TO, take care :)
yay science!
SOODLE ... CONGRATULATIONS to tour town ... have a great night.
sorry ..your town.
Soodle, my home county was listed as "America's worst place to live" by the Washington Post. (It ISN"T!) At least your town has something to brag about! :-) Congrats!
<picturing Soodles singing and dancing in hte streets... kissing total strangers ;) >
Vaccines work agains viral infections, Soodle
hullo lovelies
Of couse they do Nef! I'm just after remembering the Flu Vaccine. Silly Soodle!
soodle will be there!!
NP, Soodle;
Hi jes
Hello Jess :-). And - please.... If any transatlantic Babblers are planning a trip to this part of the world - remember to include Trim on your itinerary. Not only nice flowers, but Soodle to boot!
I will come Soodles... am saving my pennies for a trip.
man... to have the free time for a transatlantic vacation would be fab. sadly, is not likely in my near future
Note to self. Invoice Irish Tourist Board for huge increase in tourist numbers....
oooh i must be invisible .....
I wish I could come Soodle. DH doesn't travel very well!
no mo... you will be on hte list as well..
*points at mo* I see you
Lol Mo!! No trouble for you! Hop a Ryanair flight for tuppence ha'penny. I'll show you a good night out!
ireland tourism is advertising heavily here
mo, you are not invisible; I just can't keep up! (Son & grandson stopped by; lots of noise here
mo, you are not invisible; I just can't keep up! (Son & grandson stopped by; lots of noise here
mo, you are not invisible; I just can't keep up! (Son & grandson stopped by; lots of noise here
How is that grandson of yours, Nef?
I might take you up on that soodle ... are you paying? lol
AND nowI can't enter
I know what you mean nef.
Mo - two of my three are living & working in the UK. They rarely pay more than €20 for a flight home.
Grandson is in 1st grade & loving it. He signed up for Cub Scouts last night
First grade????? I remember when he was born!! Holy Moses!
And now they left. Whew! What a distraction (of the fun kind)
sorry to be so touchy .. please forgive me. ...
yeah; I was putting pictures in Drop Box yesterday & reviewing them; the pictures remind me of how fast he's growing
mo, don't take it personally; chog was spinning by, then chaos struke here at my house and chog got weird
(not as in weird people, but it wasn't letting me enter chat
Wow! We went from everyone chatting at once to just me again!
Yikes, Mo. I did'n
i didn't even realise you were being touchy. Maybe I've been desensitived!!
chog gremlins strike again!~
Soodle - did an ancestry DNA and learned 16% comes from Ireland. So, at least 16% of me is OK, right?
soodle .. sorry maybe too much of the wine, so I will sneek out quietly and apologise to everyone goodnight
lol, Bojazz. If you can PROVE 16% is Irish, chances are that another 34% is! So.... You are definitely in the clan. Welcome & Failte!!
no apologies necessary, mo, you're fine :)
Mo ! Come back!!!
My sister did her DNA and she is 33% Irish, 31% English, 17% Norwegian and the rest is welsh!
68% was UK - a trace of Scandinavian, 10% from Iberian Peninsula
ANd bring that wine with you, Mo! ;-)
What Nef said!!!! Nobody is allowed to leave the chat clutching a bottle. Share & share alike.
I'm boringly 100% Irish. A cousin traced the family tree back to 1750.....when we, the O'Carroll Clan were lords of Carrickafoyle Castle. How the mighty have fallen. :-(
bojazz, I'm thinking that I'll get mine tested too. My sister thought that the rest of us didn't need to have ours tested; but since we aren't all carbon copies of her (she's oldest); I figure we don't all have the exact same DNA as her.
Soodle - is there a meaning behind Meath? My daughter lives in a neighborhood with Irish/Scottish names on the streets - they live on Meathward
Nef - I think it should be identical. Ancestry.com is offering the tests at a reduced price. I paid $99
last price I saw was $79
Bojazz - the literal translation of Meath from Gaelic is 'The Middle'. Could be a catch-all for many places. Scots Gaelic & Irish Gaelic are very similar.
thanx Soodle - curiosity satisfied :)
Good to know, bojazz; my sister had it done through them as did my DH. I just thought it would be fun to see how similar they would be, DNA is the genes, & since your genes determine the color of you eyes, etc. I thought it would be interesting to see (my older sister is a know-it-all; so if I have a different report I wouldn't mind!) ;-)
Nef - It might not be identical, but should be very similar, I would think
I would think so too. We expected to have some other (more Eastern) nationalities in the mix; especially since some of us in my Mothers family have very slanted eyes and some have very olive complexions while others are extremely fair; so we were expecting a wider variety
My 'puter is pinging with FB messages from my far-flung kids. I better go & reply. It was an absolute pleasure to log onto Babble this evening & chat without sarcastic or sardonic interruptions. Thank you all for your wonderfull company. Hope to see all you nice people again soon. Poof.
A profiler would probably say our family is quite Anglo-Saxon - we certainly look the part!
I have 1 brother who is blond, blue eyed freckles, very fair skinned solidly built (not fat, just always has been fairly muscular) and the other brother is olive complexion, grey eyes, black thick hair and very thin
Bye Soodle! Tkae care!
The 3 of of girls are all brown eyed brunettes (or we were before my 2 sisters turned grey); some people say that we look alike, but *I* don't think so.
(I'm just speaking of the 5 of us full siblings here, not the half siblings)
Would really like to know how my children's spouses would affect the DNA sample.
help with at7/28 pls
a + more than one **** Orlando....the guy who had a few hits....
a + theatre awards?
ty both
almost identical to 7/32 - drop the 2 pointer, ---

Pen, be careful how you use the word "hits" : P
oh!....
lol
well i went through the list but still have 8 to find....*sigh*....
way ahead of you pen - got 60 yet
30 left here
It's the ever thrilling Babble Friday Night competition. Bojazz is out in front, with Pen running a close second. Peri is coming up from the rear. Fans wait breathlessly.
*thought i was in the lead....not that i am competitive, lol*....
it'll be very dark for I cross the finish line - it's Miller Time here and that affects progress...
I am closing in on first. 21 left
Beer-thirty is much more important than Babble
bbl
I'm bringing up the rear with 61 fisshies to find...
AMEN!!
You are in the lead Pen. I misunderstood that "I'm way ahead of you" comment
down to 49...
And Pen, if you want to be competitive, you have to play at the flip. Those people are fierce.
32 left here
6 now!
Go, pen!!! YOU can do it!
i don't like how people play at the flip....if i am awake at that time (rare) i usually ignore chat completely....don't like people tossing out stats....
44 - watch out...
oooh...he's gaining....
I am rarely around during flip time, but I would agree Pen. It used to be that the first hour was supposed to be stats and clue free, but no more. And hey, playing at this time you get GO PEN GO cheerleaders.
right!!...
Go Pen, GO!!
38 and gaining steam...
well i went quickly through the list.....but had 9 remaining after that... ;o)
This is all too thrilling for me. I need to take some deep breaths.
<mutter, mutter> Dang plurals...
gotta take a break - you ladies have a nice day/evening, whatever ... it's been real
bye, bo...
bye, bo
Good for Bo, off to pursue the finer points of beer on a Friday night.
i will gladly concede....my last four are impossible to find... :o(
Do you want clues pen? (so close, you can do it!

(And my dryer is beeping at me - it will wait)
I have them ar you missing the last he7/8 combo?
yes...
Use the high point letter Pen
add 2 vowels onto the he5/22, then pl
yes, i have been trying that for 20 min, lol...
(2 different vowels , not able ones)
you mean the he 5/22??
yes. Go right & up from thelast consonent
ty....i am done!
phantom: transient
that was double, not able
and exeunt
YAY, penquis!!! WTG!!!

ty!
11 here
i don't know how many times i tried exeunt!
yw
i don't think i would ever have found those HE words without help....
Sure you would have. You had the first three. It's not hard to figure out the last three letters.
those double vowels....don't think of trying those...
I found them with a typo; I thought I was putting a different word in (my add word box was slow at the time
lol.....
i had tried that 7 letter word putting an N on the end...
Well there are only so many ways you can go once you have the first three letters figured out. It's like looking for a three letter word
yes, but it's hard to keep track of what has been tried...
and i do try to be systematic...
i should be working on my newsletter, but i am too tired....
first re6/18 pls
What do you write a newsletter for?
re6/18 fluid, peri (aka edema if in the legs)
ty Nef
fw
yw
YAY, peri!!!! WTG!!!
congrats!
molly....i put together the newsletter for the Maine Association of School Psychologists....only three times a year...
it's usually about 27-30 pages....
Ah, school shrinks. I was guessing something knitting or linguistic related.
Holy crap, a 30 PAGE newsletter?
nope....i have been doing it since 2008.....won't do it too much longer....a year or two, i think...
yes, usually that long or just a little shorter....i do it in Word and it's distributed electronically....
There is really that much to put in a newsletter? They usually are not that long.
this time i have to write two member profiles (based on questionnaire responses) because the person who usually does it can't do it....
FW.
congrats!
that's a lot of work, pen. My hat is off to you.
(& thanks)
off to the laundry now
molly....the president and committee chairs write articles....our student rep shares USM news....news from our national association....member profiles....and i usually republish a couple articles from other state newsletters (e.g., one on bully prevention)....
bye nef....
so it's like a professional journal combined with an association newsletter...
i proof, edit and format the article submissions and then put the whole thing together....usually i have to either find or write "fillers".....
Could I please have clues for the n's in the last two columns?
ni4.9 & ni4.11 - obviously both use the high score tile
ni 4 x 2 for the bottom N...
ni + 2000 lbs and plural for the other...
Thanks Pen, nbt finally

Hi Cos, you got he6/21 okay? : P

hmm found ex8.. is it related?
there are two ex 8....one is a plural....
found 2 ex8s
im guessing the ex9 is unrelated to either?
ah never mind one of them is :) thanks pen! nbt nbs
i meant that the 9 is a plural...
good!....i was not clear...
No I didn't read carefully.
Every clue is sacred
... reminds me of a big song and dance number from Monty Python...the meaning of life (I think?)
Only seen two MP films
grail and brian
Hi all
Grail and Brian are the best, I think.
I liked Grail more than I did Brian
But the song Molly referenced is fun
Me too - though Brian had some wonderful moments.
More quotable lines, perhaps.
First time I watched it I didn't like it but I was like 14 lol Liked it better the 2nd time when I was able to understand
I grew up with MP - my parents loved it too.
My hubby and his son can quote pretty much can quote most of Grail by heart.
i wasn't allowed to watch Grail so I had to sneak it in
lol
Yet I was encouraged to watch Freddy and Jason movies. Go figure.
Was that speech by your boss as boring as you feared?
That's just weird.
Oh not as boring as I thought. It was even boring than that.
*more boring
Poor thing :(
ni 6/24 pls?

Thanks both :) So obvious!
