No - just heavy rain. Had to let some water out of the pool but nothing else. The park behind us didn't flood as badly as it sometimes does.
And the wind of course. Went to Byron today - surf is still up but we saw our first whales of the season.
so very pleased liz. i bet it was pretty frightening while it was going on.
No - not really. At least not for us. It was just steady rain and a lot of it. Perhaps it was worse at the coast but I reckon we got off lightly compared to Sydney and Tassy.
Like I said - 250 ml in 24 hours. That's a lot of rain.
yeah. those coastal homes near sydney copped it pretty badly. and tassy...poor people... but at least the power cable from victori to tassy is now repaired.
But on the positive side, it hadn't rained for months and the farmers inland certainly needed it.
Always feel sorry for the people affected but if you build or buy in an area prone to erosion, you can't be surprised if it happens.

I desperately NEED a housecleaner because I am SO behind on cleaning and decluttering. I am thinking of hiring someone for a massive assault on my home.

Housecleaning is overwhelming when you have a spouse who leaves his piles of junk everywhere and then yells if I move it.
I am organized in a disorganized way--piles of stuff in places, unread journals and magazines.
Mr. Bich is a scavenger and leaves it through the house.
Then I go into declutter mode and attack a pile or a room and toss stuff out.
The trouble is he never gets rid f anything
When I cleaned my office, I packed everything in boxes, painted the walls, then put stuff in place. and tossed and shredded the rest one bo at a time (day).

So sore today. Mrs and I did an 8K hike yesterday :)
got to get used to doing the treks again I suppose.
was a perfect time for it though. with a high of barely 14 C and partly sunny, the bugs and mosquito were all asleep it seems.
It has been rather warm here for the last few days and it has started the bugs off here. The birds love them though swooping about grabbing a good meal!
